Hey Mousy!
I was thinking about how reckless the farmer can be, you know, fighting monsters, overworking to maintain a farm, and even being a guinea pig for others.
But despite all that, the farmer stays alive (CofcofPoweroftheScrollandMr.Qicofcof)
But, how do you think the villagers would react to the news of the farmer's death?
Oh, pain... 🥲 Thank you for ask, Shiro 🫶
_________________________________________
It was rare to catch a conversation between Marlon and Lewis, but the old adventurer had come to the town mayor's home... with tragic news. Marlon himself was as gloomy as a dark cloud. The news he brought had shocked the equally old Pelican Town Mayor.
They're.... dead? In the mines?
Merciful Yoba.... But, they came here as farmer, why did they have to go into the most dangerous place?...
The next ones to be shocked were Dr. Harvey, who stated Farmer's official death, and Maru, who was helping him. The young inventor gasped in horror: seeing Farmer's body had made her sick, so Harvey had to do almost everything himself. All this was late at night, and just the next day in the afternoon, Maru was to meet her girlfriends at Haley and Emily's house to discuss various gossip. And Maru (unfortunately), also got some news.....
All the girls gasped after hearing this, Penny even dropped her tea cup from shock. Abigail turned even paler, because just yesterday she had begged Farmer to take her to the mines, but Farmer had politely refused her. Perhaps, because of this, they had saved her from death...
Pelican Town is a small town, and news of the death spread like the plague. Caroline and Pierre learned everything from their daughter, truly regretting the death of the young farmer. And even though Pierre was not close to them and for him it is, in fact, just the loss of another client, he does not wish anyone such a terrible fate, to die young, alone...
Gus didn't turn on the music machine in the Saloon, also giving himself over to mourning the loss of a member of their commune. Let the others not be fooled by the rather stale reaction of Shane, Alex, and George in calling the farmer a fool. They just don't know how to react to the loss of a loved one again.
It would seem that Clint couldn't have gotten any sadder than his usual state, but when the only person he considered a true friend dies... It's painful.
It's pain for Robin to construct a gravestone instead of useful buildings for farming. Sebastian, along with Abby and Sam shut themselves in his room in the basement, trying to hide from the pain that way. Vincent didn't understand at first why his parents sat sad, but Jas immediately realized why Aunt Marnie's eyes were red. She understood why Uncle Willy had taken off his hat as he saluted the dead farmer.
Everyone was at the funeral, mourning the young farmer. As dusk descended on the Valley, no one noticed several figures standing near the fresh grave. No one saw how Marlon placed their sword beside the grave, how Rasmodius made the flowers beside the grave grow, decorating it with a single movement of his hand. And how quietly Linus stood, whispering a farewell to the young soul who had not been afraid to go into danger to protect the people of Stardew Valley.

Kolivan: Having the will of a Galra is not enough to defeat a Galra. Get back up and do it again.

Klance prompt for you
Keith and Lance kinda have this unspoken language when communicating with each other. Like they know exactly what each other mean even sometimes without words. It leaves the rest of the team confused. When did they have the time to bond like this? (I seriously don't know. You decide.)
Hell yes!!!!
-----
The team couldn't really tell when it started, only that it started.
Hunk noticed it first.
"Now paladins! We are looking for this specific plant," Coran pulled up an image on the hologram in front of them. It resembled the shape of a daisy, but the petals were bright blue and the stem was black. "Now remember, it is very poisonous if you touch it with your skin. Keep your gloves on and move it in the containers I gave you earlier."
"I think we should split up. Cover more ground," Shiro's voice carried throughout the room. "Princess did you say you were helping us look for this plant?"
Allura nodded, "yes but since this planet is known to be hostile we should stay in groups of two."
Lance immediately met Keith's eyes, the red paladin raising his left eyebrow quickly. Lance cleared his throat, "Keith and I are a team then."
Pidge elbowed Hunk gently, "you and me?"
Hunk nodded, his eyes still glued on the blue paladin.
Shiro was next to notice.
The team had a movie night once a week. It was usually a slight challenge to pick something everyone wanted to watch; Alteans surprisingly had a bunch of genres to choose from.
Pidge was presenting her case for a paranormal movie she managed to translate. Shiro was leaned back on the coach, his eyes on Pidge, a small smile on his face as she gave her "closing argument."
The movement was small but enough to catch his attention. Keith's head turned slightly, his eyes staring into Lance's ocean eyes. Neither of them were moving, if their chest weren't rising and falling he would have thought they were statues.
Lances shoulders raised with a deep breath and Keith tore his eyes away from his. "Let's watch something else. Maybe a comedy?"
Shiro tilted his head slightly, if he knew anything about Keith, he liked horror movies. He would be the last one to try and pursue the team from watching something else.
Pidge sighed and began scrolling through the comedy section of the movies.
Allura was next.
They sat around a wooden oval table, meeting with a couple different species for their coalition. The meeting was even a bit boring for Allura's taste but she kept a professional smile on the entire time.
As the meeting dragged on she found her eyes falling on her paladins. Her chest swelled with pride as she looked at each one. The universe couldn't had given her better people to fight the Galra. Something caught her eye as she shifted her gaze to Keith.
Keith was naturally neutral with his expressions. He rarely smiled outside if the teams jokes or laughed with others; it was who he was as a person. But right now, he sat with his arms crossed over his chest, leaned back in his chair squinting a bit at...she followed his gaze, Lance.
Lance's face looked relatively normal for him; but his nose was scrunched up slightly. He unscrunched it after a moment and she glanced back at Keith; expecting to see anger on his face. But his face was still relatively neutral, his head tilted to the side.
His eyes scanned Lance's face quickly, then he closed them for a couple of moments. Her eyes returned back to her blue paladin, a soft smile on his face now. He winked his left eye quickly at the red paladin but before she could see his reaction someone cleared their throat.
"Princess?"
She looked back at the others, "I'm sorry, what?" She focused on the meeting, trying tp push aside her confusion of Keith and Lance.
Pidge was the last one to notice and the first one to say something.
She had stumbled in on them having a slight argument. They were both in the training room, their helmets discarded on the floor. They stood about an arms length away from each other, the words dying in their lips as soon as they notice the younger paladin in the room.
"Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Pidges eyes moved quickly between the two boys.
Both of them took a step back from each other, their eyes holding contact the entire time. They didn't respond for a couple of moments, their eyes moving back and forth. The tension melted off them quickly as Lance lifted his hands in a surrender motion.
He turned towards Pidge, a small smile on his face. "We're fine. See you around," he walked out of the training room.
Podge watched her friend leave, turning back to look at Keith. "What was that?"
He gave her a confused look, "what was what?"
"That eye contact!?"
Keith shrugged, "nothing."
Pidge cornered the rest of the team after dinner, making sure Lance and Keith had already gone their separate ways. "Have you guys noticed something going on between Lance and Keith?"
Everyone gave her a nod, Coran stroking his moustache in slight confusion. "Are they sick? Should I ready a pod?"
"No Coran, but it seems our red and blue paladins have gotten closer." Allura spoke quietly to him, quickly filling him in.
"I don't think it's a weird or a bad thing," Hunk mumbled.
Shiro nodded, "No I think this is good, but when did it start?"
"Is communicating through facial expression uncommon for humans?" Coran asked.
"Well, no but it usually takes a certain type of relationship to be able to silently communicate." Pidge tapped her foot on the ground.
They sat and theorized for a bit none of them coming up with a solid answer. None of them could remember when they two of them go close.
---
(Later that night)
Lance slipped his shirt off, changing quickly into his pajama shirt. He hummed a song to himself as he washed his face and brushed his teeth.
He pulled the blankets back fully intending on curling up and fall asleep. He paused when he heard a knock on his door. He knew who it was and he simply called out to him and slid under his blankets.
Keith entered the room, a sorrow look on his face. Lance met his eyes from where he sat. He knew what he was feeling and what he needed. It started a couple months ago. Lance was sitting on the observation deck, missing his family more than usual. Keith stumbled upon him and sat with him for a bit. He let Lance ramble about his family, tell him stories of his childhood, plans for when they returned to Earth.
They never spoke of that night and Lance wanted to thank Keith for being a friend that night. He thanked him by returning the favor. When Shiro and him returned from the Blade base Keith, Lance found him sitting behind the red lions paw, hugging his knees.
He sat with him and eventually Keith vented all of his frustrations and confusion, even dipping a bit into what his dad was like. Lance listened, hung on to every word he said.
That night was a turning point for them. Something shifted in their relationship, they finally saw eye to eye. They spent more time together. Sometimes talking, other times in silence. Which led to Keith standing in Lance's room. Something that happened a couple times a week.
Lance lifted the blankets up, silently offering an invitation. Keith sunk down into it and Lance wrapped his arms around him and Keith buried his face into his neck.
No words were shared between them, just soft breathing. They didn't need to speak, they understood what each other meant or what they needed. Lance had made a comment on their impressive "skill" they developed but neither of them could explain where the skill came from.
They didn't overthink it, they just continued to do what they could to support the each other. From physical affection, to movie preferences, to stupid arguments about training procedures. Using silent movements and expression to convey things words couldn't.
-----
So the ending was...mid? I couldn't think of how to end it. I hope I did this idea justice!
Thank you ! <3333

The fandom has gotten really dark since you left.. certain shippers are really aggressive about their ships to the point of bullying. I kno you’ve dealt with stuff like that in the past and you handled it all so well I remember reading some anon asks.. any tips n’tricks?
OOF, WHELP -- not sure I'll be much help given that I have no idea what state the fandom is in. All I can really say is that you're going to find aggressive shippers no matter what fandom you're in. My method to dealing with people like that was to just block them and add them to my blacklist. The only times I ever engaged with them was if they came at me directly (which rarely happened -- the more aggressive they are, the more cowardly they were when it came to confrontation) or if they put a callout post about me directly in the main fandom tag. I always clapped back at those people just because like lol if you've got a problem with my fics or my decision to delete them all, okay cool, I don't care, but doing stuff like putting a long-winded complaint post in the main tag is so childish and stupid.
The best advice I think I can give for this is to just not care LOL I sure as hell never did and still don't. Never will! Shipping is supposed to be fun and the people who actively try and take that fun away from others are struggling with issues outside of fandom, but shipping is their outlet so that's where their aggression manifests. Happy people don't care about drama over fictional characters, so go be a happy person! Utilize that block option and live your best life!

𖧷ɤ———ɤ𖧷
Sumire as a mother.
𖧷ɤ———ɤ𖧷
(( For the person that asked this :) ))
TW: POSSIBLE WARNING FOR PANIC ATTACKS, FORMS OF GENERATIONAL TRAUMA, IF ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE TELL ME SO I CAN ADD THEM :) enjoy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𖧷ɤ———ɤ𖧷
𖧷ɤ— Sumire's motherly by nature, it is no surprise her children would experience her loving and affectionate nature. Filling her children with so much kisses, hugs, and love they could taste it on their tongues.
𖧷ɤ— Her having children would give her the proper ability to change, be a better person and come to terms with her past, she'd sleep more, could get less scared of the dark and people approaching her from behind.
𖧷ɤ— She would sing to her children, easily putting them to sleep. Gently petting their hair as they fall into a hopefully peaceful sleep. She'd like to assume her precious babies aren't forced to deal with haunted memories or creepy unwanted creatures in their time of resting, if so.. Their darling mother will have her sword ready! Come straight into her arms and you'll be fine.
𖧷ɤ—Outside. Outside don't care what they say she will make sure they go outside at least twice a day. Under proper watch of course. She'll teach her children the beauty of things, even as ugly those bugs and dirt are, they're pretty.
𖧷ɤ— She'll teach them many things. Chinese, piano, how to read. It's important after all.
𖧷ɤ— She's no perfect picture mother though, or person. She has her flaws a lot of them loaded with a large amount of baggage. She may have learned to be more comfortable with her child creeping up behind her, but that didn't stop the unwanted quiet whispers, the loud banging foot steps creeping behind her. That feeling can't just magically go away. Child or not, if she's not in the proper mood or mind set and her child hugs her from behind, grabbing her pale legs, she'll scream like a victim being murdered, she might mistake her childs voice for Anzu's.. Or Koukai's, maybe the her twin brothers. She won't want to touch or have anything to do with her child until she's in a better head space.
𖧷ɤ— As they are babies she won't be able to deal with the crying, the constant crying from either waking up from a nap, nightmare, or maybe they hurt themselves, it might make her freak out, as she's rocking them back to sleep if you don't guide her properly she might hold the baby too tight, you as her partner will have to calm her down sooth her until her heavy breathing stops. Don't touch her or the baby, use your words.
𖧷ɤ— The child is going to suffer a form of what Sumire was raised with. Keeping your emotions inside, "crying is bad... He's going to get mad at us..." She won't do what Xaing did to her to her children nor react that same, but she will tell her children what their doing is bad without any explanation why it's 'bad' just that it's bad. She might also tell her children it makes HER upset when their upset. This is saying if she wasn't able to completely get over her fathers doings, she may still tell her child it's bad, but if the ending is she's realized it's okay to cry and be angry, she could be a little bit of comfort to her child. Maybe physically wise.
𖧷ɤ— Sumire will have to soon realize children grow up, her kids get into their teens becoming less dependant on her that will scare her, so much so she'll have a lot of questions, because she never got to experience a proper teenage life she'll be too afraid of letting her teenagers do certain things that aren't bad for teenagers to do. You will need to remind her that they aren't toddlers anymore. She has a hard time letting them go.
SUMIRE- "..But that is too dangerous for a child your age..."
CHILD- "...I'm 16."
SUMIRE- "..It is too late to be outside... Look how bright (dark) it is... Uu... You can fathom how much it would wound me to see you hurt.. Or even worse... Dead...!!"
𖧷ɤ— Losing her child, or god no don't even mention it. Her child dying or leaving for a long period of time will have her all over the place. In the case her child dies, she'll blame her carelessness, and will refuse to stop crying, it will take forever for her to accept her child's death.
𖧷ɤ— If the child perhaps goes off to college she'll just be anxious and overly worried and over flow them with messages asking if their okay and staying out of trouble. She'll need her partner to help her relax. She might also end up tearing up watching them fly out of the nest.
𖧷ɤ— All together, she won't like having maids or anyone unless her partner holding or going near her child. It's something she just has a hard time allowing. Overly protective.
𖧷ɤ— This isn't to say Sumire will be a horrible mother, no not at all. She'd be a god damn amazing mother and will try her hardest to give her child a lot of freedom, she will try not to become like her parents or siblings, and will only want to treat her child with love. She may not realize the slip ups she makes, you'll have to make her realize.
𖧷ɤ— Just help her guide her blind eyes into the right direction, you'll have to help her a bit. She'd 93% be a great AMAZING mother, but her trauma pulls her back. Pull her out of the little hole she was forced to please.

In your opinion which housamo ship is best described by they can make each other worse
prerequisite disclaimer that my take on their relationship (specifically during the time in which they knew eachother while the wisemen were screening the summons app) doesn't reflect canon but i literally have to mention toji and shuichi here. i will spare you the particulars since i imagine you wanted smth reflective of canon but 100% i think they literally did make eachother worse. like i think toji's regressive values and his obstinate commitment to his black-and-white morality and shuichi's detached, pragmatic amorality were something they respectively doubled down on after clashing with the other the way they did
more reflective of canon though: shuichi and shiro, hands down. like, borderline (haha) canonically. admittedly the 'making the other worse' thing would be pretty one-sided, so prerequisite disclaimer that i have 0 tolerance for any sort of 'predatory brown person ~corrupts~ innocent fair-skinned person' shit, do not try to apply that framing here. i'd love to be able to take it for granted people won't be insanely racist for no reason but :|.
anyways, shiro and shuichi's relationship is really interesting to me. it has quite a bit of depth to it and i think alot about the different directions it could go across different timelines, and there's some MAJOR 'make him worse' potential there, which is funny because shiro seems to be one of very few people outside of duo that shuichi actively doesn't want to come to harm (not that he'd register making shiro worse in the particular way he could as… making him worse). what it comes down to is that shuichi and shiro are incredibly similar, and in particular that they share alot of their negative traits: first and foremost, there's the deep-seated sense of alienation that underpins their characters. i think it goes without saying a sense of alienation pervades literally every aspect of shuichi's life, but in case i need to back that up in shiro's case: despite presumably being fairly well liked now it's implied he went through a p long period of isolation (in fact, iirc at some point in krampus’ event he says that ppl used to actively alienate him) and his love of reading is p much explicitly stated to be at least partially an escapist thing stemming from this; in chapter 2, one of the main things he expresses while like rapidly spiraling and gradually coming under yog sothoth's influence and generally in complete hysterics is that he feels he doesn't belong anywhere. this is expressed alongside fear of the d-evils (who he is at this point flat-out terrified of) and a horrified denial of the fact (“fact”) that he accidentally brutally killed someone. it's probably a large part of why they're so strongly attached to eachother in the first place.
shelving that for the moment, in the main loop, even after becoming disillusioned with shuichi for his amorality(/generally being deeply insane) to the point of deliberately positioning himself in opposition to shuichi's worldview, after chapter 3 shiro is literally so much like shuichi it's wild. suspicion/skepticism had been a noteworthy aspect of his character from the beginning (he very quickly goes from staring dumbstruck at the protag to pointing out the way theyre looking around is, not odd but suspicious, which is honestly kinda an odd conclusion to come to), but after chapter 3 he is way more distrustful of those outside the summoners, sometimes quietly, sometimes rather bluntly so, sometimes almost to the point of callousness. and under the right circumstances you catch glimpses at a capacity for downright ruthless pragmatism: you remember when he suggested that everyone leave a little girl to get captured and quite possibly shot to ensure they could get away safely? and was insistent on doing that? jesus fucking christ dude, way to be suspicious and distrustful of others and willing to allow others to come to harm to ensure the safety of the small pool of people you do trust due to your deep-seated feelings of alienation and having been betrayed by someone you trusted! now who does that remind me of…?
i think its important that you can see shuichi in shiro in that scene with alice especially, where- despite his undeniable strong moral core- ultimately the difference between him intervening and him letting another come to harm for his benefit is the presence of someone who is the literal physical embodiment of a Hard No outright refusing take the second option, because it highlights that what most set him apart from shuichi is that he has a support system, people he could rely on and who would tell him “dude what the fuck we’re not letting a little kid get shot” when he needed to hear that (and realizing that is probably why shiro is one of the main people to extend that to shuichi come chapter nine). which in turn raises the question of what it would look like if he didn't.
basically shuichi and shiro's relationship has a lot of potential as a making him worse sort of deal that's especially interesting because there's no ill-intent there at all! the foundation of their relationship is a genuine mutual respect and admiration, and a strong affinity to eachother! but they understand the worst parts of eachother too, and shuichi can rationalize them far too well because he was raised in a lab by eugenicists and legitimately thinks being Like That is good and cool. so (in a circumstance where shuichi doesn't scare him off by being an insane little freak) in the absence or even just diminished presence of that positive influence- if he doesn't literally immediately befriend the protag- you can really easily see shuichi fostering shiro's worst qualities, which could get really fucking ugly considering even without anyone enabling him to be a cold-blooded chessmaster weirdo, under the right conditions he would let a little kid get shot. and it goes without saying that- ESPECIALLY in a circumstance where nothing challenges shuichi's relationship to people other than duo/his own emotions- you can see this ending poorly for shiro in particular, bc as much as he genuinely does like shiro, unless something changes at the end of the day shuichi's not going to hesitate to toss him head-first into a woodchipper for duo's sake. he might regret it, but he wouldn't hesitate.
