Kissing them as well as the customary Ghoul mask allows, anyways, bouncing from person to person, and Nandor is not any different... if considerably taller than Fluvis. The sound of gasps and outrage pepper behind him as he jumps up to press his lips against Nandor's, only barely brushing his lips to the vampire's with a laugh, tail flicking behind him as he presses a Hershey's kiss into Nandor's palm.

"Happy Valentines!"

And then he's off onto the next unsuspecting citizen.

Nandor was more than just perplexed by the action. If he had gotten the chance to react, perhaps he would have quickly stepped away, lean back and away from the reach of the other, but he didn't get the opportunity to do any of that, instead, he just stood there looking dumbfounded. "Did you just see that? did you?" He asked both of his housemates before looking at the strange guy that was now walking away. "So just like that, eh? not even what's your name or how are you?!" He yelled at the other in hopes he could hear him.

"Fucking guy..." Looking down at the small shiny object in his hand, he was quick to drop it to the ground believing it to be silver, not without first letting out a small scream.

one of my favourite little things about the murderbot diaries is how present all secunit's friends are even if they're not actually physically present. it doesn't do the annoying thing where it jumps through hoops to bring back characters that aren't really relevant to the narrative but it also doesn't do the other annoying thing where it pretends they never existed either. like secunit talks about art and mensah all the time even when art or mensah aren't in the book. it's clear how bharadwaj has impacted its personal growth even when she's literally on another planet. it complains about gurathin and pin-lee when they're not there. it's still sad about miki and don abene and it mentions tapan and maro and rami even though it only knew them for a few days (because when you're new at being a person every interaction with other people is important even if it's short). iris reminds it of mensah. iris also reminds it of ratthi. its hair is fluffy bc it let amena play hairdresser off-screen and it messages her so she knows it's okay. it doesn't have to worry about protecting volescu anymore because volescu retired thank goodness. it's still using thiago's language module. etc etc etc

it's such good writing because it's such a little thing that gives the characterization and relationships greater depth and also reinforces the running theme of friendship in the series and then also subtly gives this sense of 'the people you love are a part of you/your story' and also reinforces secunit's role as a storyteller because it's constantly telling little stories about all its friends.

The first time Sonic went Super in Road Trip wasn't exactly as stunning to Tails as other au's and stories.

Tails is like maybe 5 here (I'm not actually that organized on the timeline for this au yet, I'm getting there though, things are getting in order.) and he wasn't forced to grow up and be a hero in this au. So he's a bit more childish than canon Tails because he doesn't feel as pressured to mature and grow up fast. Plus, he genuinely thinks Sonic is going to die and this is the last time he see's him, so tears are bound to come down.

i like how consistently princess peach is characterized as somewhat emotionally stilted and socially inept, she is sort of this emotionless dignified monarch. the first thing she does when mario approaches her is throw him into the floor, and her whole relationship with him is sort of awkward and detached (in an endearing way, she is just not the most social person)

even in the games she is emotionally restrained and no-nonsense. she can be pretty blunt when speaking to people

super princess peach even makes a point of her being the only one in enough control of her emotions to resist the influence of the vibe scepter. she can activate her emotions on command

people say "peach has no personality" a lot and it's because she literally does not express herself very often, its part of her character. she's stiff and refined, she's dignified, that's just who she is. she is quite the opposite of princess daisy who is spunky and loudmouthed, but it doesnt mean she has no personality

someone i know described peach as "friendly, but not someone you can be friends with" which i think encapsulates her perfectly
