i passed out for 5 minutes and when i came to this was on the screen

it has come to my attention some of you might not truly understand my sandwich qualifications and why I've been calling them "shitty turkey sandwiches" when they're a perfectly normal quick sandwich of cheap white bread, american cheese, turkey lunch meat, and mayo.

behold 6 sandwiches I have made

my normal effort sandwich includes: cheddar cheese, at least one meat (or eggs), (usually) pickles, lettuce, tomato with salt and pepper, mayo, garlic and onion powder, and sometimes dijon mustard. the bread is not always toasted, but for a Good sandwich I dry toast one side in a skillet. a quick sandwich in my mind is cheddar and tomato or cheddar and lunch meat, but never american. my high effort sandwiches get wrapped in wax paper and sit a little bit so i get away from the Sandwich Making Smells and like them even more.

the first sandwich has a whole ass omelette with caramelized onions and garlic and bell peppers. it's on toasted garlic cheese bread. it has roast beef, mayo, yellow mustard, cheddar, the omelette, and tomato with salt and pepper. i still dream about this sandwich. the third sandwich is on sourdough i made myself.

so, comparatively, i am eating very shitty turkey sandwiches.

Hi Anna!!! I have a question for you. I came across a gifset of 6x09, the phone call where Buck tells Hen, Chim, and Eddie about the baby. Eddie sure didn't stick around for that conversation! He's visibly a bit bothered by it, but he doesn't say anything. And I think that's because he's trying not to steer Buck in any direction now like previous events, but I just think he has SOMETHING to say about it! Anyway, do you think he would bring it up at any point and would it create problems for Buddie?

Okay, long story short: unless the baby becomes a thing that's actively harming Buck, I don't think Eddie is gonna say anything. It's done, the baby exists, he is not a possibility, he is an actual human out in the world so whatever feelings he may have about whether or not that was a good idea don't matter, because he's not an idea anymore. And even if we end up with buddie and somehow that kid becomes a conversation topic, it's not Eddie's place to say Buck shouldn't have done it, and he knows it, I think that's why he acts the way he acts towards it, he knows it's not his place. I can see Eddie snapping if it becomes something that's creating problems for Buck that he refuses to acknowledge but using it to create problems between them would be just stirring up drama with the least interesting thing they could pull from the deck of buddie drama, because Eddie would never actively try to hurt Buck more by bringing this kid into the conversation.

And regarding the whole thing while the baby is still just a concept, Eddie likes to push against the line of thought Buck is trapped in, sometimes because he's actually about to give some solid advice, sometimes maybe just because he's testing how set on this way Buck is. He only found out about the donation once it was a done deal, Buck had a lot of time to sit and think about it by the time he finds out, considering Eddie finds out right as Buck is about to make the donation, and Buck never goes to him to talk about that, so even though is pretty clear he thinks Buck is making a mistake, Buck never asked for his opinion while it would change anything, so he just ignores whatever concerns he may have.

I think Eddie has a better perspective on what being a parent means to Buck than Hen does because while we like to say the whole team knows, we don't really have that many scenes with Buck and Chris with the whole crew, so Eddie is really the only one watching Buck be a parent on a regular basis, and the question Hen asks, the "can you be a father and walk away" is the real thing that could create problems because one, Eddie is a father who walked away, he went to war and he did come back, but even he admits he ran when he was in the army, and two because he's been watching Buck not walk away for years, so he knows if Buck gets too involved, he's not gonna be able to walk away, and that's the concern I think. Sure, there's the fear that Buck is just believing the whole "they had me for parts" and is giving away even more of himself, and problems that the donation could bring for Buck on a bigger scale, but I think specifically with 6x09, Eddie is listening to Buck refer to himself as a father to a child he will have no involvement raising and he's worried Buck is gonna crash from that too hard if he keeps thinking about it the way he is, but he also thinks Buck doesn't want his opinion, because he never asked, and now the baby is real, so he backs away.

Kaoru pushes Rei off and moves to jump from the roof to the sand below. He has half a mind to kick his shoes off before running into the water, shouting Kanata’s name. 

He’s neck deep before he realizes, hot tears running down his face as he tries to keep his head above the water, voice stuck in his throat. One moment he’s pushing himself off the sand and the next he’s too far out and can’t get back up. 

His lungs don’t burn immediately, but it feels like his legs are frozen in place and he can’t move them. He briefly wonders if Rei has chased after him before he’s forced to let go of the breath he was holding. 

Water floods his nose, his mouth, his ears. His lungs are burning now with the lack of oxygen and he knows the end is near. His arms and legs have grown heavy. Kaoru is no longer struggling to come back above the water. 

He inhales and expects the water to rush up his nostrils and fill his lungs, but… 

Nothing happens. He breathes in again. And again. And again and again and again. 

He opens his eyes and looks down at where his legs should be and instead sees, or more accurately, feels a tail. It’s hard to move and see but he gently pushes it forward and feels himself move up slightly. 

He doesn’t get much time to process the change when another body runs into him. Cold arms wrap around him and pull him close and Kaoru’s eyes, still unadjusted to the dark, try to make sense of the shape. His own hands come up to grab the body in front of him and he tries to speak but realizes that even if he can breathe, it’s hard to make a sound under the water.

@nemesis-is-my-middle-name hey so ive still been thinking about this au- so heres some doodles in no particular order. assorted thoughts below read more because i am simply a nervous man.

First: emmet deserves a crackhead rotom. i think this has been talked about but it simply is true. I dont reckon he has a lot of pokemon given his only way to get pokeballs would be like... theft from galaxy team survey members who go a little too high up and get the wits scared out of them by emmet and his pack of spooky boys and drop some of their stuff. might be able to figure out the recipe himself given enough study and the couple of broken balls that got hucked at him by one overly ambitious survey crew memeber- but regardless hes probably not packing a full team of 6 like ingo, lamo Second: *cracks knuckles* its emmets turn on the coat angst. If hes still conscious after those nasty bitter malices- i would not be surprised if his brain is still a little on high alert. people have not been nice to him and that's HIS comfort object thank you verrry much. We can apply ingo to this problem though. itll be fine. itll be fine. Third: Hot springs. Brother shenanigans. I do not know how quickly the two of them would regain their memories but i do think they should get to have. nice things. like hot springs. and good food. and braiding hair. there's some vague thoughts here (Emmet might have a hard time believing ingo is REAL at first, given most of his interactions with the man in black have been through illusions made from half formed memories. A zoroua trying to comfort him with a familiar face seems more likely then whatever... all this is.  its so bright and warm in here...) ANYWAYS BROTHERS. THEY’RE BROTHERS. Lastly: uh. I do not think emmets first encounter with a ghost born zorua would go well! thats a dead body! thats someone you could’ve helped, but didnt find in time! Thats BAD! breakdown breakdown baby. It would probably only strengthen his resolve to patrol and help people on the mountain though. and if he couldnt help them in life then at least maybe he can make their afterlife... softer. less spiteful.
