United Stated Grand Prix 2023.

Cropped myself out but he looks too cute not to share. I like sharing how my interactions go because people love to see and assume the worst in Max, but this is my 4th 1:1 interaction with him, and all of them have made me so happy and were so fulfilling as a fan. Today, as he came in, I waited till he was done speaking to someone, asked if its ok to get a photo, he stopped right behind me and said in a good natured, indulging way “sure, alright” then after gave us both a smile and walked towards hospitality. It really comes down to being patient and polite, and not running at them. If they’re busy, they will not stop. This is not even said as a die hard Max fan only, because I have a non-Max fan who watched all these interactions and agrees.

Obey Me! Nightbringer Lesson 23 sent me on an emotional roller coaster!

I have always been and always will be a massive Mammon simp. I love him. Genuinely and truly.

So when he said this :

I felt terrible for him, I wanted to hug/hold him and comfort him so badly!!

Because that's not true at all! ; ^ ;

Mammon is NOT awful. He's never been awful. Just because he has "greedy" desires... That could be said of everyone.

Mammon is a wonderful, passionate person and a loving, caring brother. He has been my favorite since the very beginning because I could tell just how sweet and kind and pure he is deep down.

He deserves the very best. He is worthy of everything good in all three worlds!

I love Mammon, I will always love Mammon.

Then when he finally awakens...

You can hug me as much as you want, any time you want, nonstop, please never let go! TwT

I seriously was SO much happier with this pact scenario than in the OG.

I mean... in the OG, Mammon only wanted his credit card. So it seemed kind of... forced? Not special?

But this time! Making a pact with Mammon is special. It's meaningful. It felt right. In my opinion, it's perfect! Kudos to the devs for this one 💙

And it gets even better :

I legitimately wanted to cry. I actually felt tears begin to form in my eyes, no joke or exaggeration.

Me.... special??? No.... No way.... Never.....

I know it's "just a game", but that hit me HARD! I took it personally, and it meant so much to me. Especially coming from Mammon (ಥ◡ಥ)

Forget the pact, where's our marriage certificate already?! lol

Anyway.... I was completely satisfied with this Lesson. I'm happy we made our pact with Mammon and how/why it happened.

Originally, I thought maybe Nightbringer would follow the OG in terms of forming pacts, which would mean that Levi was next.

But from how this lesson ended, it looks like Asmo is actually next! All I can say is.... I'm super excited for more 💙

Since I have become obsessed with this show, have a funny little guy! This is Gloo the slime cat. He's very silly. She follows Jax and Ragatha around all the time, but they're terrified of Bubble. He's really friendly and social. She thinks she's in some coma or something. They, both when they were human and now, are intersex.

bonerattle arena fucks severely. i was not expecting it to rival my love for jammin' salmon junction, but wow. this map feels like a love letter to people who love and enjoy salmon run. (i ended up playing the rotation for around 3.5 hours... which you can watch here if you like!)

the map's circular shape on normal/high tide effectively makes the spawns from this map come from every angle. it's a test of awareness and movement skill- and the walls + inkrails really, really make rotating around the map feel so fluid and easy.

and low tide's hexagonal two-ring design is so fascinating too! instead of testing movement, it tests your team's ability to make judgment calls on luring and making sure you don't overwhelm basket from luring too much.

i also feel that every special in salmon feels really rewarding to use on this map- even reefslider! i've played enough to see that most specials bring so much utility and value, and i just love that no special feels like it's "useless" on this map.

there's also a few flyfish tech on this map that echoes the bomb tricks on jammin' salmon junction and spawning grounds (and i guess gone fission too), it feels really intuitive on what spots can pop two baskets at once (it's the grates and the rails) and i just? feel really rewarded for playing as much salmon as i do.

i feel that the map's inclusion of the ink rail mechanic evokes a lot of similar vibes to ruins of ark polaris- and i really liked that! there's definitely some things i want to fine tune and understand better about them, but they're really fun.

i still need to see how other weapons feel on this map, but it feels like both mobile and stationary weapons can exceed here- there's nice perches for long range weapons, lots of walls for quick weapons to use to escape situations... it's so swag...! a very good final map, i think!
