i had a severe allergic reaction to something they gave me during my iron infusion and my arm could probably club someone to unconsciousness from how swollen it feels im very tired. more bloodwork tomorrrow.

god i cannot stress enough how out of all post!johto travel companions haruka & masato know the most abt satoshi bc they were the first ones satoshi traveled with that he had any semblance of a reputation to upkeep & he was still trying to figure out how that worked, having people expect things other than failure, having people actually kind of look up to him, having people actually ask him for advice because he actually has more experience.     he was just starting to figure out the satoshi that people that hadn’t seen all of his progress were going to expect.

like, satoshi never quite outright lies about himself, in any of the ways one can lie about themselves, but he omits things, he tweaks his behavior as it would suit the circumstances, he bites his tongue to keep from saying what he thinks would be too much.     he wasn’t that good at it in hoenn, not just yet, but he got better at tweaking himself to fit expectation, to fit what people would like, because really, satoshi is kind of the embodiment of   “ i need everybody all day long to like me so much ” ,  & he really is a people-pleaser.     so yeah, haruka & masato still got to see some of johto satoshi  ;     they likely would feel very weird seeing satoshi as he is now.
