If Gansey was in PJO he would be a child of Aphrodite because how else could you explain the fact that all of his friends were in love with him.

This man wears exclusively boat shoes, pastel polo shirts, and his school uniform. He implied the love of his was a prostitue. He called Ronan his dog. He has the vocabulary of a 70 year old english professor. He’s a loser who I love very much but he should not pull as much as he does.

He’s got to be pretty.

Oh I love these guys. Everything about these books, I want to draw them soooo much more (I probably will)!!

Guys I'm back-

It has been a nightmare lately this is the only thing I managed to draw in weeks? Finals and uni stuff that's taking all of my time and energy, slowly turning me into a cafeinated slug (worst part is caffeine doesn't even have an effect on me? I only drink coffee for the TASTE can you imagine). Anyway the rush won't be over until end of January but hopefully I'll be able to ignore the stress and draw anyway :)

the raven cycle is a series meant to be read multiple times. i love that i never stop discovering something new, that there’s always something else to make a greater meaning out of, there will always be a connection i missed in my previous read or i will make another one in my next read, i’m relearning my favourite characters, rediscovering the same world over and over but the magic never fades. the magic always stays. the love is always there and i always close the books convinced i could never care about anything the way i do about this world and these characters who are also my best friends and my family. no matter how many times i read it i’ll always go back to it excited for what i’ll discover again. nothing has enchanted me this much and nothing ever will

the scene in the dream thieves where ronan is about to fight kavinsky and adam is strengthening cabeswater with persephone and adam tells him he knows about the rent and ronan almost tells adam he loves him.

I am genuinely convinced nobody loves Gansey the way I do. I know for a fact I am not the only one who feels this way, but I am 100% positive I like Gansey in a brand new special way that is unique to only me. Nobody gets him like I do, y’know? He’s everything I am and my entire personality and I would in fact die for him!

gansey can actually be used in all contexts. something can have ganseyness (whimsy, obsessive in nature, yearning/longing, etc). you can say you’re being such a gansey right now as both a compliment and an insult. to gansey is basically just to be an obsessive little girl who is so silly goofy sometimes that you’re like omg stop. gansey is obviously a noun bc gansey is a person at the end of the day. so let’s all appreciate how versatile gansey is!!! how impressive!!

very interested in how the storyline of ronan's sexuality is developed in the dream thieves as a battle between kavinsky and gansey while adam is almost never present in these scenes, which makes it even more interesting that we found out in CDTH that ronan was set on adam the moment he saw him. i think that ronan is attracted on some level to both gansey and kavinsky (you can draw the lines of how much romantic intention you think he hold towards either of the yourself, that's a rabbit hole I would need a whole other post to go down) but more so I think he was attracted to the IDEA of both of them and certain qualities that each possessed, and that the real question wasn't does ronan want gansey or kavinsky because we know he wants adam but rather who's qualities resonate more with who ronan is, or who he is choosing to be at this critical moment in his character development. kavinsky is a dangerous thrill and often comes wrapped in ronan's other favorite self destructive attempts to outrun himself, while gansey is ronan's history and proof of his deep capacities for loyalty and love. he tells kavinsky it was never going to be me and you and that it's not going to be ronan and gansey because that was never the question- maggie was obviously always planning on bluesy and pynch. the answer to who ronan WANTS in adam. the question of who ronan IS- that's what he's trying to decide here. his self hatred is such a heavy weight on him and theme in tdt, and the kavinsky/gansey dichotomy represents the the path he will choose to take to deal with it- keep try to drive faster than his demons or accept that he can still be loved even if he isn't the person he once was. the dream thieves my beloved ronan lynch my beloved
