sweeney bway round 2 ~ all the little things + my favorite moments 🩶

- toby!!!! daniel marconi was absolutely divine. i really loved his movements, he kind of flails about with a tiny, strange limp. you can tell there’s something off and it just makes him all the more endearing. he’s so loving and his not while i’m around broke my heart into a million pieces

- i forgot how disturbing poor thing is. turpin has this vulture mask on and he just looks so disgusting and cruel. the staging looks like a satanic ritual and really establishes judge turpin as a perverted, evil piece of shit from hell

- mrs. lovett kissing up and down sweeney’s shoulder and beginning to slide his suspenders off just after wait, then someone walks in and she quickly slides it back up (and forgot who LMFAO i was so giddy)

- mrs. lovett genuinely calming affect on sweeney just melts me. they really needed eachother 🫂

- josh & annaleigh are so perfect, they read so genuinely as old friends and apprehensive lovers. they are magnetic. their bond is so palpable and it just makes everything hurt more

- mrs. lovett holding sweeney’s arm and nuzzling her face into his shoulder during pirelli’s

- lucy cries a lot. you can hear her sobbing whenever she’s on stage. she’s clearly very sensitive to men’s anger and is distraught whenever sweeney yells at her. my poor baby 💔

- also during pirelli’s; sweeney rubbing mrs. lovett’s hand and whispering into her ear. it’s def their most mutually affectionate song besides a little priest. felt like their little honeymoon era 🥰

- anthony began to sob at the end of johanna. i interpreted it as him seeing turpin abuse jo cuz he looked horrified. it was really really impactful

- sweeney holding lucy’s body and screaming in grief during toby’s monologue

- during a little priest after the whole privates gag, mrs. lovett was down on her knees and had her hand at sweeney’s groin and they both just stared at eachother it was PERFECTION

- i think a little priest was prob 10 minutes long because josh and annaleigh had SO MUCH interaction. they milked the living shit out of it and i’m so glad they did

anyway this is a fucking spectacular production of the best musical ever written. will not take any other answers thanks. hilarious, heartbreaking, dark, sexy sondheim. it doesn’t get any better. i will be back trust me. GOD, THATS GOOD!

Amari:

She has her softer side. Shes protective towards those she thinks might need it (or need help) but she definitely has a softer/vulnerable side she reserves for her very few trusted loved ones (Muichiro and Hikaru are the first few that immediately come to mind)

She's fiercely dedicated. Whether it be to the mission or to the people she's around, whatever takes priority in her mind at that particular time. It can be one of her best traits but also a big flaw depending on the scenario and it's really interesting to see it play out 🤭

I love her color scheme. The small color in her hair, her body scarring tbh, I think @risingscorchingsuns did an amazing job and it's so pretty and surreal to see her in artwork still 🥹💜🩶

Muichiro:

He's observant and analytical but quick too. He might not be quick to pick up on the emotions themselves, but he'll definitely notice the physical tics associated with them (slight lip twitch, eyebrows drawing together, breathing changes etc)

He's truthful and blunt. He may not always have the most sympathetic or kind way of going about it, but he definitely tells it how it is and sometimes that's just what someone needs to hear. Sometimes sugar coating things doesn't do anyone any good.

At his core, he cares about others. Even when he lost his memory, lost everything at such a young age, he still became a swordsman to help save others from demons. Hes a caring person, he just doesn't always know how to show it.

AmaMui: (now we get to the good stuff 🥰)

They both deal with anxiety to a degree but they cope differently and it's so cute 🥹. Muichiro is very clingy (I think the fandom established lol) so in a place like a crowded market, he would definitely be clinging to her and because she's so protective, she'd definitely be holding his hand or arm. Basically stuck together. Meanwhile because she's more private with her emotions, Muichiro would be helping her deal with her anxiety in private with verbal reassurances (still cuddles and hand holding and whatnot but she definitely feels better with hearing it from him verbally).

She can't keep her hands still, it's a big tic of hers. She usually makes her fingertips bleed if she doesn't have something to keep herself occupied, so guess who's hair she braids on a fairly regular basis? Guess who grows his hair out specifically for this purpose 🥹💙🩶

They're expressive in their own ways for sure. Small gestures and gifts here and there. 'I love you' is three squeezes while they're holding hands, or maybe it's a small cloud charm to add to Muis sword guard because she thought of him while she was patrolling. They just have their own language with each other 🥹

Basically, they love each other. AmaMui means everything to me 🫂 they definitely fall asleep under the stars during the summertime when they stargaze 😭. Ask away any time anon and again, thank you so much for asking 🥰💜 I hope you have a great day 💖

I'm in love with your story, Unexpected. I have read each chapter multiple times. The first chapter is what got me hooked on your writing.

I do have a question though, since y/n is not a client, she can kinda waltz back to his working room yea? What if he is with a client? Or if he just finishes with a client and they walk pass each other in the hallway ? Or she cant walk back there and the front desk people make y/n wait til he is done with a client? I just can't with these scenarios.

My jealous heart would break at any of those listed above lol

I can't put into words how hard I walked for those first two chapters and how deeply personal this story is. The fact that it touched someone deeply is so very rewarding and incredibly moving.🙏

As for your question, it's like you are inside my mind, because I am about to answer some of these question in the next chapters. BUT, since I am not sure when my next update will be, I don't want to leave you hanging, so I am going to share my head canons here for you and anyone else that might be interested.

So, of course neither of them want the employees to know that y/n visits Bucky but she doesn’t pay like a regular customer, that's why they worked their way around it. Bucky has been working there for a while and has made a few close friends. One of them is the receptionist, so he trusted her enough to reveal their little secret, so anytime y/n comes, the receptionist knows she doesn’t have to pay anything. It's not ideal, but if one person knowing the truth was what they needed so they could keep seeing each other, then so be it.

As for the waiting time and area, they always have fixed appointments and Bucky makes sure he lets afew minutes window between the last client and y/n's arrival, so she doesn’t feel uncomfortable. But accidents happen, so unfortunate crossovers may occur at some point…🤫
