I don’t typically like when star trek characters reference legacy characters just to talk about how great and perfect they are but I do like this route where even though Tuvok calls him a great visionary in the end he brings Spock up to say he argued with him. I think this is the way of the future. Lean in. Star Trek characters should say things like ‘An old man cut me off in space traffic the other day. I think it was McCoy?’ and another should nod and shake their head like he’s always doing that shit

Very early munday featuring little R.orschach! He's grown so much in the last few months since I got him back at the end of January, now he's looking like a proper little snake and his colours are coming in so much brighter now (though it might be harder to see as the lighting is so bright - sunny day!) Figured out he might be close to a year old at this point between June-September so baby's growing up! 🎉

I think the reason I resonate so much with Toya is that he's the voice of the standard—if beautiful—path to a goal. He has studied Go since he was four years old. He's a pro-level player. He cares about Go, deeply, and he's very very good at it, but he's not surprising, he's not celestial, he's not... supernatural the way Hikaru is. And I've always felt like more of a Toya than a Hikaru. I'm ambitious, in my own way. I take a careful, internal path to my goals, I'm smart, I'm persistent, I'm good at what I care to be good at. But there's a kind of supernatural connection that I just don't feel I have.
