Hello fellow Untamed lovers, I am desperately trying to find a fic I read many months ago and I need to reread it (for my health at this point really).

I know it was post canon, lwj was chief cultivator and wwx was on his post cql travels. Wwx comes back to gusu because he’s sick, he keeps losing track of time like disassociated and “sleeping ” but awake he just can’t remember. And when he “wakes up” he doesn’t remember where he is. It’s not a curse and it’s not a terminal sickness ((at one point wwx thinks it’s mxy’s body giving up on him but that’s not the case)).

Eventually they write to lotus pier and jc tells wwx it’s like a trauma response and the same thing happened to him and he has to work on his past to get through it.

I LOVED IT so much but I can’t find it for the life of me. Please help!! I’ll give you twice the amount of Lan Zhan pics 🥹

unfortunately i don't sell prints atm, i have definitely thought about it but im not quite sure what would be the best way to do it. i would have to do it through a service like inprnt i think, but i would have to look into how that would work. if i ever open up a print shop i will definitely let you all know, though!

it also means having to convert all my work to cmyk and i don't know too much about that, and also i think a lot of my work isn't really print worthy. like, when i think of art prints i think of detailed pieces with like, thought out colour schemes and composition and i don't think my silly little fanart falls into that category. but idk, it really depends what would sell well and clearly there's people who would buy it! so yes if i end up selling prints i'll make an announcement :)

character ask game 💚🤍🖤 - so uh, talk to us about Lan Sizhui? 😁😏

one aspect about them i love

Honestly I did not spend that much brainspace on LSZ before writing trust me as though I were your enemy, which is a very *cough* specific and premise-based take on his character, so... speaking from my brief newfound interest in the character, I love the untapped potential of his character? Most of what we see is very surface level--not to say his kindness and proactive Good-Boy-ness isn't genuine if it's not backed by the correct impulses, I think on one hand he genuinely values being considerate and careful and kind (and him being the only Lan junior who tries speaking gently to 'Mo Xuanyu' when he's just acting deliberately 'crazy' still gives me feelings. i, like wwx, have the 'such a nice kid! how tf did the Lan sect spit HIM out?' reaction 😂)

...but on the other hand, 'Lan' Sizhui has no real choice but to be a Good Kid. He's kind of adopted into the Lan family, but his main point of adoption is Lan Wangji, and it happened during the years LWJ was thoroughly destroying all of his Good Boy rep within (parts of, at least) the sect--something I thought about but didn't manage to work thoroughly into the fic was that LSZ probably deals with a lot of spillover dislike by, say, the 33 elders that were severely wounded by LWJ. And then there's all the shit he'd just barely remember... In conclusion, LSZ pretty probably grew up with the impression that Something Bad happened when he was a kid but nobody will talk about it, and dealt with feeling like he was on Thin Fucking Ice with a significant portion of the Lan elders without knowing why. Perfect recipe for a kid to repress any 'bad' feeling or behavior he might ever have!

So... what's under that surface? Especially when he starts learning about the truth of everything that happened at the end of canon, and learns where he actually came from?

Fun to think about.

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character

something that I did decide on during writing is that while he's not disliked by many people in the younger generations, he really doesn't have any friends except for Lan Jingyi. He doesn't get close to people easily, so it takes someone as enthusiastic and bad at reading subtlety as Jingyi to hang in there and earn the position :P

one character i love seeing them interact with

Tbh I'm not immune, his interactions with WWX and LWJ when he's a little kid hit me right in the heart. It's especially adorable in CQL, when he's sitting in LWJ's lap and you can see LWJ getting baby fever in realtime. They may not be the best guardian-ish figures, but his connection to both of them is still obviously important to him, and seeing the beginnings of it is still painfully sweet.

one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more

Honestly there's a lot I wish here! I'd like to see something of him traveling with Wen Ning (I've heard there's a movie, but also that it sucks, and based on Fatal Journey i believe it); I'd like to have seen more one-on-one interaction with LWJ when he's older, instead of always just being part of the Group of Juniors. After writing this fic, I'm also wishing that he'd ever really interacted with SMS, lol.

one headcanon i have that involves them and one other character

Separate from any fics i may or may not be writing < <.... I think he had a good, if not at all close, relationship with Jin Guangyao, and looked up to him a little bit (lsz: wow you're repressing EVERYTHING and you're doing it so well i wanna be you when i grow up). He felt a little guilty about it because while LWJ never said anything specific, he didn't seem to like Lianfang-zun much, but whenever LSZ saw him (at conferences and meetings in Jinlintai, or during JGY's frequent visits to the Lan sect) JGY was always super nice and friendly, and jokes aside was modeling a type of poised strength that was very different from LWJ's uncaring-of-social-consequences conduct that LSZ, to say the least, did not feel like he was capable of.

starting with the most obvious one are the photos from yibo-official and the effect it gave — it was so little prince. something they both have connection with and a favorite among turtles. international or not, it’s already there and we are not the only ones who noticed the reference.

another thing that fans were looking into was the type of flower he was wearing as a brooch! lol. turns out it’s a ginger flower and it means to keep memories in summer forever. ginger flowers bloom in May-June in summer. the flowers are pure white, the fragrance is refreshing when blooming, and the flowering period is very long.It's short-lived, but it's also accompanied by beautiful memories.

12/28 ( love bo ) day sweets! 🤍

i thought we can get some rest before tomorrow’s busy content day, but i guess i was wrong cause the cpns won’t let up. lol. we are definitely ending this year with being busy! we will get more once we have the full experience of yibo’s new EP and i’m waiting for XZ’s marie claire magazine interview.

let’s start with the most obvious thing we all observed from the teaser, the 🦴 necklace being front and center. this just tells me how personal this project is for him. tho his yearly song is as personal as it gets and is his yearly commitment to his fans as well. but he could have easily worn something chanel for promotion sake since he is their ambassador, but he still chose to use something of his own. this necklace that he always wears. i am usually open to interpretations of cpns, but there are very few that i’m stubborn about and this is one of those. this necklace is connected to xz, i accept no other explanations. i’m sure we will notice more clues but this one has made a lot of us happy 😋

some are also pointing out that scene in the train, the people on it are all bundled up and cold. however, wyb’s character has his neck exposed like that so you can see the necklace. he is also wearing a shirt with shoes printed on it xie zi = xz.

this bit is the one making a lot of cpfs scream. the similarity in the question asked from an xzs video to to the untamed. 🤯

so, have you thought of a name?

we have already takes about everything is lovely that was cued before in xz’s birthday, and now this. it’s like him asking, have you thought of the name for the song? the same way wwx asked lwj about wuji. and this song, everything is lovely is the answer to that. we are very much aware that wwx/lwj is different from xz/wyb but these parallels are hard to ignore. and what if they also think of themselves as somewhat these two soulmates? i think that makes sense too. and oh, if you wanna go more galaxy brained - the date difference between 10/5 to the release of the new song 12/29 is 85 days. are they counting??? we all questioned the new release date and why it’s 12/30. maybe this seemed more like an auspicious date based on that. who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also forgot to add this when i first discussed the lyric that talks about white hair. this part of the fanmeet where they had to act out seeing each other after a long time. WYB mentioned pulling out XZ’s white hair for him. 🥹🥹🥹

at the time (2019) it seemed like he was being a gremlin and the subject of white hair was for a joke. now, years later (2023) he uses it in a new way. i will love you till your hair turns white. I will love you forever.

• In the behind the scenes video shared by shunan laoshi, who worked with WYB last year, we can see the card case. HAHAHAHAHAHA! I can’t believe this simple thing is one of the strongest cpns we have.

• GQ shared this photo taken by WYB and it reminds us of an effect also used by XZ and XZS. I know this is not some effect that is unique to them and that other people can do it too, but the point is the similarity. you have WYB who has been into photography lately and he is using a trick that XZ and his team have used before.

• a video has been shared from 10c night in 2019 and it really proved one of the things we’ve been saying before, that their dressing/waiting rooms were right next to each other.

• WYB is allegedly listening to this song on QQ. I wonder who comes to mind when he listens to it 😏

thank you wyb for sharing that photo with us. taken in xiamen, the evening > early morning of GRA nominee gala. it was a memorable and tiring day for him and it makes me somft thinking that in between the chaos, he was still able to take a moment and shoot photos. that he had some peace & quiet in that very busy few days.

the moon is a common cpf symbolism and this is an example of why, with all the photos wyb probably has on his phone — he decided to share this. it’s not even current per se. he is someone who would preferably post something related to his hobbies like what he did with the “helmet selfie” or him climbing a volcano in inner mongolia. so this may not be as uncommon, but definitely different from his usual or expected post. and the fact that how the moon looks in the photo is so similar to what zz posted back in 11/19. him sharing this close to that photo, i can’t help but think that he is deliberately matching that. like what they did back in the moon festival.

they are so sweet, these are probably leftovers, from all the photos they sent to each other. also how it seems like a reminder to them that no matter how far apart they are, they are still under the same moon. the white and red also gets me! i know lwj is blue but he is also white and wwx is red. perfect match! 🤍

2021, we were not sure if the photoshoot was done on 8/5 but XZS seem to confirm that it was done close to that date and our speculation was correct. The caption for the post was “Meet the time shadow before the finale in the desert”, and talking about the wrap up for this shoot, it was posted on 8/4.

The timeline being correct is important because this is when XZ wore the matching gucci head necklace of WYB 💕 and if this is right, looks like the rest of the bday timeline is correct.

Out of all the calendar photos & Months that could be featured in this video, why this? I know that it was taken for the 2021 birthday shoot which was what the photos in the desert was for but this is not in that set. This one is in Beijing, taken earlier that month. If you look at the photos in that calendar there are a lot and much better ones to include. So why???

Could it be because of that gesture? The same one WYB did last night in the One & Only show?

So who was taking the cue? Is this a coincidence again?

GG is known for doing this so what we CPN yesterday is that WYB decided to use that in the routine. Deliberate or not.

Now as for it’s inclusion in the XZS video, I think it’s more plausible that it’s a clue to confirm WYB’s dance move. I cannot say when these videos are edited, if it’s done waaaaay before it’s release. What I know for sure is how efficient XZS team is when it comes making video edits. They can turn high quality ones in a short span of time, for example the euro trip content. So it’s not completely out of the question for them to have made this recently.

The reason why i wanna make this part of the series is this comparison. lol. we have been making a couple of these examples from scenes in this drama & the heart eyes might just be my favorite. we’re not even making this up or seeing things that isn’t there. just look:

CPN : DOUYIN DOUBLE KILL 💀🤍

we’ve been saying it for years but douyin really is the superior app. all the content it gave us and the fact that douyin night had both of them in it wearing clothes from the same brand. what else do you want me to say? douyin always delivers the goods. cpn or not — it makes me happy when they post there. whether it’s bobo’s weird posts to zz using horrifying filters.

they really have taken the 24-hour rule and said they will do better. how about, hours apart? what about livestreams on the same day but not the same time? I guess the observation of them/their team doing things simultaneously but not stepping on each other’s time and work is right. so turtles better be ready for content coming two at a time.

FOR YIBO’S post, I already mentioned here that it may be an answer for the call to keep warm. The other coincidence is the caption used was snap your fingers and how you pronounce it includes = “xiang zhi” = xz = xiao zhan. What galaxy brain you have Bobo if this is true. because tbh snapping his fingers and that caption seems random. well, maybe not.

Now onto xiao-laoshi’s post which is so cute! I like that it’s simple and gives us some personal information about him. Even without the CPN, it’s an enjoyable one. We just noticed that some of his answers are sus. Yes, people can change their preference but if it’s similar to that of a particular person— well, that’s pretty 👁👄👁

We know GG prefers wireless especially when he’s out and about ( tho he was also seen wearing wired lately ) ; Web did too when the airpods came out but we know who is notorious in wearing wired headphones. Well, all we can think about is wyb nagging zz to eat rice. Lol. WYB’s aggressive persuasion in making zz eat well is very special to me. He really takes care of ZZ the most. Even at the time he understood what GG was doing since he is an actor too, ( for example GG has to fast because he wanted to look slim for their photoshoot ) he still out GG’s wellness first. Yup, a colleague who he spent a few months with. not special at all right? 😏

HAHAHAHAHA! It’s observed and even talked about that Bobo prefers to send voice chats. We’ve seen it in his 2018 CQL Birthday behind the scenes. I think this voice chat thing is for Yibo only. GG may not prefer it but he will GLADLY DO IT for his puppy. He knows WYB loves it so there is really no question that he will send it. I wanna fight yibo 😤😤😤

4. prefer sunny vs rainy days : sunny / rainy

I don’t even care about the other cpn clues, what I thought about is this romantic scene right here. how did they make this behind the scenes/ random moment so sweet idk. that’s just how it is when the two of them together. the love between them can’t help but show itself. 🌧

CPN Archaeology : A tale of Two Selfies 📸

Let’s label this properly since it’s an old candy that is somehow being talked about right now in bxg circles. It’s always nice to go back and see what we may have missed or just reminisce about some events. I thought about just leaving it but I cannot stop. I must archive candies. you never know what incident will come in handy in the future. lol.

Let’s start with the facts and the context behind the selfies before we delve into the CPN story.

Xiao Zhan’s was posted on Oasis 11/24/2019 with a caption Does it sound good? . This is in reference to his performance in Our Song of Green Light. There is a whole CPN about that & him rapping but we won’t talk about that here. It’s a selfie. His usual sharing of his beautiful face.

Yibo’s was shared 11/2/2019 after Day 2 of CQL’s Nanjing Fanmeet. The caption is : green mountains never change, river always flows. lan wangji removing the make up. So you can take this as a goodbye to the fans and a selfie for everyone who came and to commemorate that memorable night.

Two bare faced selfies. So what. Simple. Well no, since we’re clowns — there is a CPN version of events which may or may not be true.

11/2/2019 was Day 2 of the NJ Concert. The final one. At this time, they were both so busy with their own projects ( Take note OOL finished filming 11/6 ) but they of course have lots of activities related to promoting The Untamed. There are a couple of “lip reading” CPNs for their live events and this is an example of it. This is the video. They were allegedly talking about what photo they gave to the crew to show off to the audience and they both said scenery ( on set ).

Then this exchange happens:

( look at xz’s reaction after yb allegedly says he can take his photo. I don’t exactly care if the lip reading is accurate but yb definitely said something naughty. lol. )

After that, we get Yibo’s selfie. The bare faced one that was promised. Speculation is he took it for GG to see since he indirectly asked for it. Second is, it looks like a mirror selfie but it’s not. Someone else took it. Maybe he really was taking a photo of himself but someone was taking a picture of him too. There are turtles saying that his phone is shooting in vertical but the photo posted is horizontal. Also how the placement is wrong if this was taken from a mirror. However, at bare minimum, him posting this kind of selfie after that exchange is interesting.

You can also be sentimental about it and interpret it as him finally shedding the LWJ persona off. It’s time to be Yibo. The person XZ loves. 🤍

XZ on the other hand had to go back and film OOL.

Let’s go back a bit because another important point here is the Nanjing rehearsal. XZ was sick at that time and this is also where Yibo speaks up for XZ ; telling the crew he is not feeling well. If you’ve watched any videos or GIFs from this rehearsal. Ugh! They are so attentive to each other. 🥲

The rehearsal is 11/1/2019 and allegedly that night the cast had dinner together which GG cannot attend because he was sick. As per the photos below, one had Web in it and then it seems like he left.

Now here comes the CPN story : 📝

GG was sick during that day so Web did go to the dinner for a bit but had to go back and look after GG. As a friend who is concerned or as a Boyfriend, take your pick. Depends if you SZD or not. This was also the time where Yibo’s selfie was taken. It’s why GG was able to joke that he thought Web was going to submit his bare faced selfie. He knows because he was there when it was taken. Web made a come back when he brought it up ( gremlin mode ) like he was saying what actually happened so GG had that look on his face. We know how GG loves to start something and when Web takes it up a notch he backs off or acts surprised.

The focus on GG’s selfie is because turtles think that it was also taken that day in Nanjing. Not 11/24 when he posted. He was sick and took some selfies probably to send to Web ( he’s so lucky, like seriously. i get so mad sometimes. ) and shared the leftover with us. Nothing new. We’ve been speculating that some of his selfies are leftovers and the best ones are sent to Yibo. We just didn’t know he’s been doing it for so long. If you wanna clown further, they are in the same hotel room. The same hotel is more plausible tho. All the talk about GG’s pimple mark as a baseline on when this photo was taken is not really relevant ( at least to me ). The story already makes sense as it is. 🤍
