no but for real though, i've been waiting for the full version of this song since APRIL; he used it as a special leader stage for gdc! that version is much shorter obvs and way more of an 'nct' song, plus i think bada may have made a new choreography for the full song. to be honest a lot of my thoughts are most just AAAAAAAAAA, which is fine bc there isn't much of a deep overarching theme and i don't think that there needs to be one either. obvs i'd love to see ten tackle something on the level of taemin or kai conceptually but i think there's a really special and underrated skill in fully embodying a performance regardless of its thematic depth, because it's hard. i talked about this with chaeyeon's solo but if you don't have something to ground your performance in it becomes very easy to be unmoored, and you can lose the thread of what you're trying to portray very quickly. something that i think ten does better than pretty much every other kpop dancer is that he is profoundly excellent at embodying feeling. you can give him a basic concept with a key visual and he makes you believe that he is that concept. and he does seem to base a lot of his creative decisions on embodying feelings, he's done several interviews recently and one that stuck out to me was that he said he's had birthday on the docket since pmn, but because he was feeling a specific way for pmn, he kept it on the backburner until his next cb. working down to your theme from such broad emotional strokes is a very difficult way of working, but it allows a lot of loose creative freedom that i think suits him very well.

obvs i gotta talk about the styling too. there's some really beautiful design choices happening here, most notably to me is the use of negative space and detailing! the main costume (the transparent shirt with the carpet pants) both draws attention to his torso and arms, while also provided fringe and loose dangling bits to accentuate the movement. most of the styling actually has these two elements, which gives a very strong unity of silhouette even though there are some pretty different types of clothing happening. one tiny weird detail that i don't know if anyone other than me noticed, but with the carpet pants and the patchwork ones from the vogue 8pm concert, because there's so many layers of fabric built up around the waist, you can see in specific moments what the pants actually stay still while his waist moves inside them. not an effect that i think was intentional by the designers, but a great effect nonetheless.

Random shit No.1 -> I made a post here about JK's type and Jimin's lips keep popping up on every sm recently so they've been on my mind. Which is y I remembered a tiny thing from Bon Voyage season 1 ep 1. Keeping in mind Jin and Jimin are the 2 members with full lips (and RM some but not as much as Jinmin) it would make perfect sense that they are the 2 JK would zoom in on when interviewing them

Random shit No.2 -> Remember this post I made about Jikook living together, remember how I said it was weird Jimin was the only one who didn't have anywhere to live? Well recently this Karmy was talking about how hard it was for Jimin to leave his dorm life since he loves being around BTS sm

Then this Kjikooker chimmed in on how JK bought Jimin an apartment to make him feel better 🥺🥺🥺

So guess the theory is that JK is the one who bought Nine-one for them seeing as they were both living there. I mean if anyone should know its fans who live there, right?

When u really think about it, it all comes together because JK moving into Brunnen... a house owned by the company with furniture from the old dorm...proving just how temporary that place is...which again makes sense coz of the house he's building in Itaewon.....

While we are on topic, there is a moment missing on my living together post but we all know it very well.

If you pay close attention to Jimin you will notice him subtly lifting his eyebrow. Its so subtle that idek how people noticed. JK looks at Jimin while members are laughing at him and Jimin does that. 🤭 So yeah, that coupled up with the fact that they were all making fan of JK and his mattresses but Jimin who under normal circumstances would be part of the discussion was quiet as a church mouse. That was incredibly sus.

Random shit number 3-> is a tiny BV analysis coz we know how much i love those. Okay so JK climbs up a steep hill without cameras at the crack of dawn to get his baby some snow. We know all about that. So tkkrs the morons that they are, tried to claim this moment for themselves because JK showed the snow to V first and offered him to touch if he wanted to. But, aside from JK waiting for Jimin to come out, apart from him jumping up eagerly to show Jimin the snow, apart from him watching Jimin's face to see his reaction when he handed him said snow, and apart from editors saying point blank that JK got a gift for Jimin, we also have this;

Season 4 episode 3. Members play RPS and losers have to climb the hill and bring back snow.

When the rest got back to the cabin, Jhope was making people this magic toast with his secret recipe. This shit was so funny y'all should be able to remember it. He was so proud of it 🤣🤣 Anyway, when Yoonmin got back, Jhope asked Jimin if he wanted his special toast.

But here comes the kicker. Jhope uses JK to convince Jimin to have the toast.

This, ladies and gentlemen are the reflexes i was talking about. It's not just Jikook keeping the secret that they are dating. It's the members too. And sometimes they will slip. Our president being the main culprit. 🤭🤭🤭 what does it matter that JK liked the toast? Suga and Jin had the toast too. Why is JK the member he uses to appeal to Jimin?

Vampire from ancient Egypt buys Dracula cosplay bcus he wants ppl to like him was a genius idea thanks Anne rice. Khayman just, his whole personality reminds me of a character who’d be in what we do in the shadows he’s so inspired. Omg remember when he was so excited to go to lestats concert and meet other vampires and then he’s inside for two seconds, instantly gets overstimulated, and then sits outside for the rest of the time 😭 Khayman might be me guys.

I also love Fareed and Seth 😭😭. I love that Anne rice casually wrote an ancient Egyptian vampire and a modern day Anglo Indian vampire falling in gay love with each other and funding an unhinged vampire mad science hospital, and the Egyptian vampire is AKASHA’S SON 😭😭. the reveal that Akasha has a living vampire son who has been quietly living under the radar for the entire book series just practicing science and pursuing his passion for healthcare alongside his long term partner had me clapping and cheering I stg. They also have sm personality 😭 especially Fareed he’s so iconic. This bitch tricked lestat into giving him his sperm for cloning experiments and he served cunt while doing it. I love that they raised Lestat’s clone son as their gay dads, just so much there. Fareed and Seth u will always be famous

I'm still patting myself on the back for part twelve. The original plan was to have her push back against the idea of being with Lando more than she did, and then the fact that she'd just had a one-night stand with her best friend would be an added stressor, she wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it and neither would Lando, and that mutual inability to get one another out of their heads and the following admittance of that would be what got them together. But I think I prefer the way it went a lot more. It was mostly because having Lando comfort her as she spirals and having him listen to her concerns and then come back each time with how he'll protect her against all of the potential consequences was just such a wholesome moment, but I also was just so eager to move past Bahrain and get on to the actual races 😅.

I'm so happy that you picked up on the parallels with the IG post though! I've talked about it before, but I love symbolism and thematic parallels are hands down one of my favorite writing mechanisms to make use of. The paparazzi act as the other side of the coin to Y/N— she takes photos, they take photos, but the ethics regarding both are completely opposite because one is with the consent and awareness of the subject and the other isn't. Liam’s family dynamic (like i said) is kinda based off both my family/relationship with my parents (specifically my mother) and my best friend’s so yeah basically idk like his mother is pretty yk “hashtag we stand with j/k/r” and when she found out Liam was trans she idk kinda ignored it in a way and yeah she doesn’t understand how a lot of Liam’s issues r partially her fault (with her transphobia and just overall lack of meaningful support in those areas) and she often uses his younger siblings as an excuse for stuff (“i just didn’t wanna confuse ur siblings” “i don’t want this ideological bullshit around ur siblings!” “with all this stuff you’re doing i’m worried your siblings r gonna pick up on it.”) and yeah his dad isn’t as bad but he is kinda complicit in all of it and yeah hope that was an alr explanation c:

also Ella: out of all of the kids she’s the most idk, concerned. like if one of them makes idk a suicide joke (in a moment where it’d work) the others might laugh but she’d be the one to get concerned and ask if they were ok. and like i said before, these kids in this situation would be kinda making each other’s unhealthy coping mechanisms worse in ways, but on the spectrum from “heh same, heres some tips on how to get worse” to “i’m going to institutionalise u for this” none of them r right there at the former but El’s definitely the furthest. She’s quite an anxious person and often gets panic attacks over if smthn’s gonna go to shit with the life they’re living now or abt how the other 5 r treating themselves but doesnt like to show it incase they feel bad abt bring open with her. also i haven’t fully got her backstory down yet but ik her family was pretty openly anti-queer and just in general tories so (her and Sasha stg i need to give them fuller backstories. Francis. Francis is a bit like my sister (who u obviously haven’t met but yk), she enjoyed playing games where u can make characters and drawing. she would love watching “big kid” shows with Catriona (and like cartoons n stuff aswell). she she liked playing outside, she was loud but also kinda quiet in a way, she gets into (verbal) fights with people older than her often. she can’t wear certain clothes due to the textures. she loved dogs.
