I have done a pretty shit job of not checking tumblr for pre-premiere pirate tidbits a few times a day despite deleting the app from my phone, mostly because I can't not check on a couple of specific people I follow who I trust not to spoil me. It's been a mixed experience, although being logged out (until I get sick of tumblr's login wall) has helped immensely because I don't feel like I have to comment on everything. I can stay up on the juiciest bits (like Stede entering his well-deserved Slut Era) while almost entirely avoiding the spoilers that are already out there, and between that and having Good Omens as a release valve for my fandom impulses means I might just survive until the 5th!

I'm queuing stuff up so if you see posts that's what those are, but I'm genuinely trying to stay away till Thursday. I'm even toying with "staying away" until the finale, but I'm not g-d's strongest soldier even under normal circumstances. It honestly feels like a coin toss at this point.

Guess who's active again? ...Probably not me, but I'm here for this anyway. Regardless, I'm answering a tag from..about a MONTH ago, geeze....well, whatever. Extra thanks to @dogmomwrites for the tag, despite me not being on very much-I really appreciate still getting the tags. Are you named after anyone?  The short answer is yes. The longer answer is yes, but I don't know who. "Yosef" is certaintly not a Sheid name-I was given it a long, long time ago in order to blend in. I was told it was a namesake of someone, but I have been unable to deduce who.

When was the last time you cried?  Hrmm....I believe it was roughly sixty-two lunar cycles ago, when his Majesty Ashmedai appointed me as the Minister of Human Affairs. They were tears of joy at being given such an honor at first, then tears of pain when I realized how much work the position entailed.

Do you have kids?  Heavens no. I haven't the energy for them.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?  I try to use it lightly. Wit is a tool that dulls if it is not used, but I find people misunderstand me frequently enough without me ironically obscuring the meaning. Although it seems obvious to me, it is not so to all, and my patience is stretched thin as it is.

What’s the first thing you notice about people?  The first thing I tend to take note of is how they react to questions. Some people answer directly, others speak only in implications, and some seem to puzzzle out their opinion in real time as they answer.

What’s your eye color?  Whatever I want it to be.

Scary movies or happy endings?  What is a...movie? Ah, yes, his Majesty has told me about those. I have not seen any.

Any special talents?  I'd assume the ability to remember centuries worth of tradition and law counts?

Where were you born?  ...The world was not so well mapped when I was born. It was a dessert-like place, that much I know, but its name is lost to me.

What are your hobbies?  Hobbies? I have no time for that. I study day and night-being the only expert on the laws of Sheidim in the world is not a job with many breaks.

Have you any pets?  I used to keep a tortoise who I had named something that I believe you would translate as "Small Island." He was my dearest companion for a time, but he died, as all pets do. As most species are even shorter-lived then he, I neglected to take a pet again.

What sports do you play/have played?  None. As it turns out, being a shapeshifter does not stop aches and pains coming with age.

How tall are you?  As tall as anyone else in the room, unless Ashmedai is there. I make sure to adjust my height to be lower in that scenario.

Favorite subject in school?  ...I have never attended school, except as a teacher. My favorite subject to teach, however, is traditional law.

Dream job? I suppose I already have it-I am the greatest, most respected Sheid scholar in the world, and even the Humans acknowledge my authority. In hindsight, perhaps I should have dreamt of colleagues to share the responsibility with." And thats a wrap for the questions. Empty template below.
