I will never be over Leo’s 4D chess play in “Many Unhappy Returns”. Like, just in general it is a spectacle to see this character who we’ve seen goofing around time and time again, who’s only sometimes decided to take things seriously, only to show him making a maneuver like that.

And here’s what gets me the most about his plan against Big Mama: he comes up with it on the spot. The second he sees that Big Mama has the solution they need, he’s already in game mode.

It is so satisfying watching the episode back when you realize his plan, because he literally sets the stage entirely for a decisive victory. He sees that the champion is a kraken, and comes up with both the solution to defeating it and a reasonable excuse to get that solution into the battle with them on the fly:

“Like your champ aaand those six guys. In fact, we don’t want this over too quickly. You should armor up those rookies. The whole shebang. Especially with these pointy helmets.”

And this is why giving him teleportation powers is perfect, too. He analyzes the battlefield and makes use of all the assets, moving pieces around to guarantee a win. It is honestly so impressive to witness and one of my favorite parts of his character.

i think in the hamster wheel of my mind a big part of where people go wrong with eddie and his shitty garage band as an extension is that they for some bizarre reason think he's gene simmons metal when he's jack black metal. heavy metal. he's tenacious d metal. he's school of rock. he's stoner lord of the rings metal he nearly wore blue jeans and plaid. jack black literally in real life once said eddie was the best character bc he's heavy metal like him. the most batshit insane traumatizing thing happened at work today & I won't know if people are dead bc of my inability to talk a man down from a mass murder until the news reports start coming out lollll

edit: it's all good there was nothing about a shootout on the news 🙏

#the rest of my shift after that call was a blur.#i obviously cant go into much detail but i was on the phone w/a man who had just robbed a mcds at gunpoint & was calling to say that hes #awaiting the police in the br & intends to shoot and kill as many as he can when they arrive #i tried talking him down but then he said ''ok ill blow my brains out on ten'' & began counting down.#i literally hung up at two after failing to stop him and started bawling & my coworkers called the cops to let them know they were #heading into a more dangerous situation than they realized #i monitered police scanners & 14 rounds were fired from the mcds location he was at but i have no further info #he mustve started shooting random ppl or cops. if i hadnt deprived him of his audience would he have just killed himself & not others??#like he was counting down while i was on the phone but i couldnt stand hearing the gunshot so i hung up but if i didnt would people still b #alive? then again all those shots couldve been misses or nonfatal wounds #hes probably dead now either way. i guess i was the last person to ever speak to him #idk what to do with all this hence why it is going here

I think I've become an official HI3 player. I check the HSR leaks hoping for iterations of HI3 characters now

#I have little hope about some of them. For instance the Su and Kevin voice actors are taken by Aventurine and the Trailblazer iirc?#Kalpas' voice actor does the male Dreamseeker in Part 2 of HI3 which is not as terminal considering HSR is a different game but still #Luocha thankfully exists. I don't think they'll be introducing Kiana anytime soon #I would love Sakura but I'm way more into PE Sakura than CE Sakura and then there's what they did with Miko #Some of my favourite things of PE Sakura they gave to Jingliu or Acheron already (freeze time‚ haunted and corrupted by loss‚#unable to unsheathe a sword and memories coming back to her when she does‚#piercing someone's heart with her sword but the other person living on with a new life‚...)#Thus an iteration of all that but with the cool things missing could get messy and unsatisfactory pretty easily #Mobius and MEI are similar to Mei and Herta so they're in a similar situation to PE Sakura #I find Griseo somewhat unsettling in a good way and in a way same with Eden. I love all the loss weighing on her as if she had already dead #with the concept of her being The Era itself and the era dying. So I wouldn't mind seeing them too #Hua seems like she may appear in the Xianzhou? Given the Marshall existence and that the Xianzhou drinks a lot of those concepts #Blade‚ Dan Heng and Jingliu drink so much of Fu Hua. I don't care about Hua though. The Herrscher I did like though #I'm curious about what they'll do #Other than the Chinese voice actor having already a steady job in Mihoyo‚ there's echoes of Kalpas in Blade‚ Arlan and Sam #so I really don't have much hope there. Not as little as with Kevin and Su perhaps but... yeah not really a lot of hope #Yet here I am. Hopelessly hoping for a Kalpas iteration. Imagine how beautiful the fire would be *sigh*#I was so mad about him being my favourite in HI3 but it just makes sense #Besides the Guzm.a process he went me go through‚ he truly has a lot of themes going on that recall Blade. I don't know...#I like his CN voice actor a lot‚ and how he plays Kalpas in particular‚ both when he's calm and when he's deranged #The Dreamseeker doesn't have the same voice at all unfortunately. I would really love to see him in HSR what can I say #That's the kind of person I've become. In a little bit of time I'll be wanting a Kalpas plushie at this rate #I talk too much #I should probably delete this later

I am once again thinking about Dazai and Ango's friendship and how Ango is the only person Dazai approached with the intention of just hanging out. Like, I can't recall any underlying motive other than Dazai's plain interest in the man when he noticed that Ango was making records of people who died in the DHC.

Objectively speaking, it would've been easy to say "oh, Dazai wants to have Ango as a contact as the man who knows the mafia's secrets" and for Ango, it would be easy to note that "it's probably better for him to be on good terms with an executive for his undercover mission" but that's... literally not what their dynamic was at all. They talked about anything other than work. They just hung out.

Has Dazai ever had another instance where he expresses interest in getting to know someone without ulterior motives? I can't think of anyone before or after where he did.

Dazai didn't suspect Ango until he saw the umbrella in his case on the night they took the photo together. And honestly, I think a huge part of the reason that Dazai is still so angry at him is not just because he was involved in the events that led to Odasaku's death but also because it was Dazai that invited him to Bar Lupin in the first place (in his own weird Dazai way). Like, that must've hurt, man. Dazai isn't the trusting sort and he also has this "everything's going to end eventually" mentality so I have to wonder if his stable friendship with Odasaku and partnership with Chuuya, both of which had lasted at least a year by this point if I'm not mistaken, made him feel bolder about going up to someone he didn't know and trying to initiate a friendship himself... only for that person to turn out to be a fucking triple agent.

It's sad, honestly. The tragedy in Dark Era wasn't just Odasaku's death imo it was the entire dissolution of the whole trio, which started with Ango's betrayal and ended with the death of their mutual friend.

Angst aside though, their friendship is really funny to me too - literally they are nothing alike, their values don't align AT ALL and it's comedy gold, especially in Wan.

I think about the only thing they have in common is that they both absolutely suck at acting on their hearts over their heads. Like, Ango has values that contradict those of his boss and career and Dazai has feelings that run counter to the most logical solution but they almost always prioritize orders/logic unless someone is dying or there is a literal world-ending threat somewhere and even then

Oh and I suppose they have their screwed-up sleep schedules too.

#i love their friendship they were so weird together in dark era and in wan #i think they both still care about each other tbh #dazai definitely scares ango and he is absolutely doing favours for him out of guilt over odasaku #but he misses when they'd hang out #and on dazai's end i really feel it is a lot more hurt from him than it is hatred #he must still trust ango to a degree at the very least #honestly i'd think it interesting if their team-up in the latest arc #kind of led to an indirect mutual callout of each other #maybe even... *gasp* talking about things #eh probably not but i can dream right?#regardless i think poor ango's definitely getting fired after this #rip buddy #actually mark all three of the buraiha trio down as passive characters #something else they all had in common #bsd #bsd meta #bsd analysis #bsd dazai #bsd ango #storyrambles

got my grades back for my courses last semester and most of it was to be expected, mostly A's, maybe an A-, etc. but i honestly can't get over the fact that my independent study (the buddy cole documentary) was for some reason given a B. like sure getting a B isn't bad per se, I usually get at least one B every semester and i honestly don't really care about what my exact gpa is as long as i can graduate, but come on. this school put me through months of psychological torment over this project and didn't even have the nerve to give me a B+??? i'm still coping with the self-doubt they forced on me and this bullshit is not helping!!

#honestly it's kind of hilarious ngl. especially bc i also got my documentary work counted as an independent study the previous semester #and the previous semester even tho i barely worked on the doc itself #(mostly just planning and putting together the crowdfunding which was still a lot of work but like compare it to the past few months)#they were willing to give me an A (my school doesn't do A+ so this is the highest mark possible)#vs this semester. like i'll admit my final assignment was late and could have been more polished #but i was literally on tour in documentary-mode 24/7 for several weeks. i filmed an entire comedy special! i put together a live interview!#not to mention having to fucking negotiate with my own college censoring the footage they'd promised me of an event i put together #and play nice with a professor who literally outed me on twitter in an attempt to cancel one of my best friends #at this point the ''B'' feels more like a petty grudge than anything else #like ok we can't get away with *actually* fucking over jessamine's grades bc clearly ze did do the work. but let's just give zir a B #like i will admit the audio quality in my final isn't great. and i could have used more polished footage in some sections #but counterpoint: 100+ students were arrested at a protest while i was editing and i was having a mental breakdown #the fact that i finished *anything* is goddamn impressive especially after they essentially conditioned me to hate myself any time i was #working on a project i loved!!!#due to the aforementioned student arrests my college did put out an option where we could change any letter grade this semester to pass/fai #so anything passing wouldn't impact our gpa if we didn't want it to. so i could just change the B to a ''pass''#but really what's the point. ''B'' is still a good grade and my GPA is fine (3.65 on a 4.0 grading scale. 2.0 is required to graduate)#it just sucks that after what i went through last semester i feel like nobody takes it seriously #i was reminiscing earlier about how it's honestly kind of funny how after that professor outed me on twitter #i was at the hotel with scott like an hour later sobbing and having an existential crisis about my relationship to gender #and scott was so supportive but also awkwardly being like #''i know i should offer the crying child a tissue but where the fuck are the tissues in this room what do i do''#and he just handed me a full-on towel instead like oh my god he was trying his best but also so clearly out of his depth #but of course i then had to remember how when i told that story to a different professor to be like ''this is how much scott cares about me #this guy called me fucking UNPROFESSIONAL for crying in front of the subject of my documentary?????????#like yeah maybe so but how DARE you call me unprofessional when a different professor tweeted my full name and gender without my consent #in an attempt to fucking cancel one of my friends for ''misgendering'' me for using pronouns i'm fine with him using!!!#i don't think i'm ever going to be able to forgive my college and i don't know how i'll be able to get through one more semester #that experience genuinely changed things about my psychology that i'm not proud of and i need to work through #so if i have to miss a goddamn kids in the hall event because i have class this november i am going to set something on fire

I love playing Pokémon in a way that would absolutely kill anyone who knows a thing about the game. No I don’t know most weaknesses and strengths of typings or what I should be using. No I’m not building a well rounded team. No I don’t remember battle to battle what moves are effective against what Pokémon’s even if I just fought them and lord knows I don’t really understand their power or literally any stat my mons have. I am heavily brute forcing my way through this game with my team full of Sunflora fusions because this is Infinite Fusions and I can do that. Yes having everyone a grass type presents problems. No I don’t care! I will beef them up enough they can tank hits until I can destroy whoever I’m fighting and if all else fails I have potions and revives and everything I need on stock to keep going. I do not know what I’m doing but I’m having fucking fun with it!!!!

#ravenpuff rambles #there are few moments I want to be a streamer but good lord it would be funny to play Pokémon for people who actually understand the game #everyone would be so angry with me #meanwhile I’m tehehahaing because I accidentally made a good move and one shotted a man with my Alakazam fusion #I only play to have fun and also have cute Pokémon’s #even if this wasn’t a fusion game I would have a problem not having a lot of grass types because I love them #worst news is that I can’t afford to have a grass/grass Pokémon because I need some coverage #I miss my Sunflora/Leafon the little legend #but I do love my team they’re all so cute #I did have to replace my Sandslash/Sunkern fusion who was an absolute cutie but unfortunately had low hp because I could evolve the Sunkern #there’s no custom sprite for Sandslash/Sunflora and I couldn’t have the default horror on my team #I do still have my Alakazam/Sunkern fusion though because despite being a hella glass canon he’s fast and hits hard and psychic moves are so #good!! He also does have a Sunflora sprite which is sad but the Sunkern one is fucking epic #the rest of my team includes Vensaur/Sunflora (my starter)#raichu/Sunflora fusion (Who I had in my last run and an absolute cutie) Ninetales/Sunflora (who thankfully has an ability that makes him #immune to fire moves) Umbreon/Sunflora (Literally baby. also a bit of a heavy hitter)#and my Lapras/Sunflora (my newest edition who replaced the Sandslash mostly so I can surf)#I can’t wait to destroy the Elite 4 when I eventually roll up there with my crew #Truly they’re all unstoppable as long as you don’t use fire and also that one move that literally takes them all out #anyways I need to get a photo of them all because they’re so cute but for now take my word #and know I’m playing Pokémon in a way that will piss off so many people. because I’m just quirky like that

They're aware of that. If Chuuya never had malicious intentions towards Shirase‚ I don't see why he would ever fear–#his betrayal. Likewise‚ I don't see why Shirase and the other Sheep members would ever be so manipulative and disrespectful towards–#Chuuya if he's been nothing but kind to them (and we have no reason to think otherwise)?#It all comes down to: I think people are inherently good and willing to help each other. i had a dream i had a beautiful loving friendship with gus fring to match the one where i was besties with mike. im so broken take me BACK!!!!!

You see luffy's finishing attack with his giant hammer being fueled by lightning which is nami's main weapon with her clima tact and she even made the guy steer the islands towards the cyclone so even if the lighting isn't produced by her the lighting is provided by her either way so luffy AND her finished that guy and even luffy attacked after nami announced how he will lose which also means nami knew and trusted luffy to end him after that and of course he did and

Oh my god luffy making nami explain herself about the message he left on the tone dial and being pissed that she didn't trust him to save and protect her but he got so mad and didn't hear the whole message and she asked luffy to save her omg....... she knew after all that they will come and win..... I love this ending I am going to walk into the sea now goodbye.
