listen I know it’s kind of corny and inaccurate to act like every single person in the dc universe knows each other and is besties but it IS endlessly funny to me to follow the web of connections and see how many degrees removed from each other everyone is.

like look at the arrowfam okay. ollie and dinah are together, ollie is homoerotic best friends with hal, dinah is homoerotic best friends with babs. roy is dating dick, has a kid with jade, and is basically an adoptive father to both grant emerson and rose wilson. connor is dating kyle and is constantly followed around by eddie fyers. mia is friends with a lot of the second gen teen titans kids, had an on-again-off-again thing going on with steph for a while, and is currently dating sienna. emiko is besties with courtney and some of the other recent teen titans. sin has a small army of protective aunts from the birds of prey. the real question is how far does it go before ollie puts a cap on the number of people who are invited to family brunch on sundays

Keep thinking of Buck and Bucky's perception of Rosie through their eyes. When they meet him, Rosie's a great pilot, has been training gunners for ages and knows his way around a plane well - but has yet to see any combat. He's that wide-eyed kind of hopeful that he can make a difference.

When they meet him again by the end of the series, Rosie's gone on to fly 52 missions. He's well and truly past his first tour, and well into his second. The rest of the 100th adore him and respect him as a leader; and Rosie adores them all right back.

Despite all of that, Rosie still seems like the same person - undemonstrative, and a little more heaviness to his shoulders perhaps, but that wide-eyed hope that I can make a difference hasn't faded.

I have another gig in a week and I'm so nervous 😭 I get paid hundreds of dollars for only five hours of work, but it is so nerve-racking and the work environment is so stressful, like literally every time I'm there I'm on the verge of tears or I have to take a 2 minute break before the show starts just to run to the restrooms and cry bc I get so stressed out. And then when I clock out I just cry my eyes out in my car while driving home. But hey!!! Hundreds of dollars!!! For five or six hours of my time!!! Only a few days a month!!! Hundreds!!! Of dollars!!! So it would be totally stupid to quit.

I wouldn't have been able to afford pampering myself on my last two F/O anniversaries (and currently placing an order for a rose bouquet for Six's anniversary for the 18th) if I didn't have this second job... but if it didn't pay me such a large amount of money each time, I probably would have quit by now bc it makes me so damn anxious. The show isn't even for one week and I'm sitting here stressing about it! I have one thousand other things to stress about and this job shouldn't be one of 'em 😤

I just keep trying to think about Ken hugging me while saying "Aw, sweet girl, don't be nervous! You JUST started this job, you've only worked three shows -- you think you're gonna be perfect your first try?? You're gonna be so good once you get the hang of it. Just look at me! I may be a little dumb, but in your latest sukuna fic, you said that in the fic there was an “implied reincarnation au if you squint,” I was wondering in which part of the fic implied that? Thabk you!

DW ANON!!!! 😭😭 you’re not dumb at all!!!!!! it was more of a fun sidethought i had, so i wanted to sneak it in realllllyyyyyy subtly in case some ppl just want to imagine the fluff and nothing else!! :3 it’s not canon to the fic, just something i had in mind while writing.

buuut basically!!! the most obvious nod towards the reincarnation au aspect are the nightmares that sukuna get. this part!!!

(…) on nights when he feels too stiff to sleep, when he knows he’s going to have that dream again; a dream of crumbling buildings and burning flesh, of moonlight on asphalt and blood underneath a young boy’s fingernails.  a dream where he looks at you and feels nothing but apathy — far more grueling than any of the bloodshed. 

it’s kinda. very ambiguous so 😭 i understand why most ppl wouldn’t immediately jump to “reincarnation au” !!! but as i wrote it i was imagining the memories of his former life seeping through his subconscious!! he dreams of shibuya, dreams of being a monster, dreams of seeing your corpse in the burning city. because you were just a nameless sorcerer to him in that life.

… buuuut that’s kind of angsty so 😭😭 yk . it’s rlly more of a possible interpretation of the fic !! you could also interpret it as sukuna having nightmares that stem from his own cynical view of himself!!

there’s also this tiny little line that was kinda meant as a hint too but i ended up backpedaling on it a little so it’s not very obvious at all lmao:

…. at first i was gonna follow that up with: “(human. he doesn’t understand why he feels the need to remind himself that he is one so often.)”…. but i thought that was a little 2 on the nose :’3 the implication is basically just that sukuna sometimes doesn’t really feel like a human, both bc of his emotional unavailability and . again. his past life. it’s kind of like an itch he can’t scratch. i like that aspect of reincarnation aus a lot!!!

OHHH AND ALSO. almost forgot. but the vague references to sukuna wanting to eat reader are also supposed to hint at a reincarnation au 😭😭 which sounds a little crazy maybe but . i had this idea. that he sometimes gets this urge to Eat You. not really but kinda. almost. an old instinct yk?? since he ate people back in the heian era. though in his current life i think it translates into… cuteness aggression. almost. or this weird urge to be as close to you as possible. but in general i wanted his fixation on eating and cooking and watching you eat to be a nod towards his only pleasure in his canon life being…. eating. people. lmao.

anywayyy these are the lines that i snuck in bc of that :33 again!! very ambigious!!! could just be taken as him being a simp / protective. it just depends on how you want to see it!!!
