Indulgent idea #20smth (obligatory hot spring episode)
Buggy's birthday is coming up and he's learned his lesson from last time. When the whole island partied so hard it kept Croc and Hawk up and loathing the clown. Beating him to pulp for making such a ruckus. So Buggy planned ahead this time and booked a hot spring getaway for the two no-fun-having lieutenants. It was fool proof plan. Croc and Hawk are away from the island and Buggy gets to party all he wants. That is until Croc and Hawk are expecting Buggy to join them and escort them to the resort. Buggy tries using every excuse in the book to not go. Even admits that the reservation was only for two. But Croc brushes it off saying he's got money or exceptions will be made for emperor like Buggy. They leave Alvida and Perona in charge of the island. Meanwhile Buggy is dreading having to go knowing that a big party is planned in his honor and he wont be there to enjoy it. Buggy is tense through out the trip. Doing his best to not bother either former war lords. It's no Grand Birthday Bash but Buggy is actually enjoying himself? He's gets all hot and bothered seeing Croc and Hawk naked with just small towels to covering them. And gets flustered when Hawkeye offers to wash his back (cause washing anothers back is an intimate stage of ones friendship). In conclusion Buggy who was upset at the start of the trip is now having the time of his life sandwiched between his two lieutenants. That he almost doesn't mind missing his birthday party. (im no word smith )
RIP the birthday party, it turned into a celebration of Buggy's birth like people did for Gods or those days that meant those gods... I got to look that up. Never mind it's more like it's a commemorate significant events or milestones in the lives of their gods. Buggy's followers will just party for their captain really hard for him.
Damn I'm not good at explaining this, sorry about that😅
Not Crocodile and Mihawk having the audacity to say Buggy has to come with them. Buggy must have been so pissed only to get fucking sandwiched between his two lieutenants.
Buggy don't let go of the petty feeling of being miffed about missing your birthday party. You are petty clown after all

Ahsoka S1E1-2
Quick disclaimers, before I begin:
Shark week started today
I've been on a Good Omens high for the past few weeks, so not that hyped
Partly because I'm dreading the fandom reaction: whether people will praise the show and use it to bash other SW stuff, or torpedo it into the ground, it'll be something
And I like Ahsoka as a character, but she's often used in ways I dislike
That said, I mostly enjoyed these episodes. They looked good and the pacing was right.
Things I loved:
Kitty!
Huyang, voiced by David Tennant (see also the aforementioned Good Omens high)
The end credits, both the visuals and the music
Things I liked:
The antagonists: I barely remembered Morgan, but I like her here. Baylan (sp?) is turning out to be excellent, making me once again sad the actor passed.
The visuals: I mostly liked how it had some color, compared to recent SW shows that were very 'greige'. There were some sets that felt off somehow, but most of it was well done.
The Corellia bits: especially the idea that lots of Imperials just kept on doing their job after, because it was necessary, or because they never really cared anyway.
Things I am on the fence about:
The music: it's not bad, but it's weird it's so noticeable? I never have this issue otherwise
The dialogue: SW always has bizarre, slightly wooden dialogue, but oof. Especially some of the more character/emotional stuff felt stiff.
The way the Jedi are treated/discussed: not quite as bad as I feared, but still got some digs in. How did get Ahsoka the intel out of Morgan, if not by 'Jedi methods'? I can't help but think it's not something I should be encouraging.
The opening crawl/general vibe: the show so far reminds me more or the ST than Rebels or anything else? The map, the constant references, the rule of cool.
Things I disliked:
The tone: bit too serious? Hera seemed chill, Chopper was fun, oddly enough Baylan too. But otherwise it's very moody again.
The stuff with Sabine: I'm sorry, but I'm still hung up on how she's even an apprentice to begin with? And now we want them to pair up again, but we're not allowed to know why they split up either? Also, it's been a while since I've seen Rebels, but I don't remember Sabine being like this. I remember her being more sensible somehow?
I'm very curious how this show will do with more casual fans who haven't seen the animated shows.

Lilys new vid kinda comes off as bootlicker towards company’s lol ( has she reviewed any ‘indie’ cartoons beside hazbin)
i have a few thoughts watching the video:
-does LO know that friends to lovers is also a trope and that it can also be badly handled? she bashes catradora for being so desperate to fit the trope enemy to lovers by "sad pathetic people", but constantly puts on friends to lovers as the best possible outcome for any possible story that everyone likes and it's inherently better. pokemadhouse actually is the perfect example of a badly written friends to lovers if g and c!LO got together because G has done so much horrible things to c!LO that ignoring it makes it more psychologically disturbing than catradora. it doesn't matter if on the actual text are not together because the reasoning is not because G did those things but because it's "illegal". LO writes these abusive situations and then asks the readers to ignore ir for the sake of enjoying the melodrama or "wholesome" moments, apparently not realizing any wholesome element is immediately nulled by the ignored abuse.
-LO does not understand how the industry works... or timelines. she prefers to blame author having bad ideas and bad tastes before admiting that the "last episode confirmation of queerness" is corporate meddling and not because "it's more exciting to end a show like that". She-ra's popularity did gave foot to TOH's rep because executive saw that, realized that it was making money, it wasn't losing business and only then did allowed it on their Network... but only for a while because that was the reason the show got butchered in the end too. every little bit of rep we had in the past helped out the next because executives kept seeing allowing queer characters to exist even on children's show was profitable. not even once LO talks about how the wedding episode, the one she thinks is not good rep and did nothing, was also the reason why SU got cut from the originally longer plan they had.
she seems to have the notion that if this creators really did care they could have done everything they supposedly wanted, so if the result is less than perfect then they only have themselves to blame, effectively taking any responsability off the companies who are ultimately responsible for giving the resources for these creators to do anything.
-to be someone who hates anime so much i don't understand why she keeps bringing it up to undermine rep in the west. anime and manga have long had queer stories with queer characters than we currently have on the west, but western companies have no reason to care about that because the cultures are different, the target demographics are different, the public in general is different so they can't see those numbers and treated them the same. USA companies started airing anime because it was cheap and got them an audience with them barely doing anything for it, not because they actually cared about those stories beyond sanitize them to make them more "kid friendly."
more than that, bringing Sailor moon as example of "good rep" that is better than any other western show when originally many people knew them as too close "cousins" in the USA and that was their only connection to the story until much later when they had internet and could view the full context of what happened... it's so reductive and doesn't do any good for her argument that the "bad rep" (korrasami, SU, she-ra... Utena for some reason) didn't do anything for the sake of improving or helping future, better rep in the future.
she talks about how viewing each of these shows as "the cornstones" that did something new is a "capitalist" mindset... because anime existed before. at the same time she talks about how it's a collective effort where everyone helped each other and... i don't understand how she can both get it and also don't? it's so confusing to follow her reasoning, even when i have see her talk about this so many times before. it's like she has all the points but she refuses to make any connection between them for the sake of her narrative, one where all the shows she doesn't like never did anything good for anyone and the corporations did nothing wrong.
-to answer your question: no, she has never reviewed anything not made by corporations beyond hazbin hotel and makes no sense because the indie scene is bursting with queer characters and stories. MO at least sometimes goes out of that restrictive bubble LO wraps herself in to search for more diverse stories and talk positively about them, but it seems that unless it's a major production that is "official" LO has no interest...
who is the one with the capitalist point of view now.

SW fandom rant
To be honest, I don't really know how or where can I start talking about this. If you aren't interested in any of the Star Wars drama that is going on then skip this post, cause its gonna be long... these goes for the SW fans we are concerned about the whole situation itself. I barely have the strength to do this and exposing my opinion about certain things makes me uncomfortable but it's been a long while since I'm keeping things to myself. There's much information I have to process so please be patient with me since I barely know how to express my emotions in the right way (that's why I'm holding myself back a lot here: it will seem I'm calm... but I'm not. I'm angry and tired at the same time).
DISNEY CANON
We all know where it all started. The Force Awakens premiere in 2015. We will start from there.
As ANY star wars movie, there will be people who liked it, people who loved it and people who hated it. And there is where some fans clash with the others. Fans who enjoy practically every movie or SW related things and those fans who demonize every movie (specially the ones from the new Disney canon) and the only thing that matters for them are the episodes IV, V, VI and the Legends canon (some of them also defend the prequel episodes I, II and III, fact which I'll talk about it later). And they bash against everyone who likes the Disney sequels.
BOI IM SCARED OF TELLING PEOPLE THIS WAS MY FAVOURITE SAGA SO FAR. And I already had problems with Legends hardcore fans.
Tumblr media
Let me tell this straightaway... Star Wars are movies for kids. They've always been. George Lucas said it. They seem to be thirsty for feeling again what they felt when they were kids whenever a SW movie comes out but they always exit the cinema with a feeling of extreme disappointment.
I was talking about the last movie with my co workers at the beginning of the year and they complaint it was "too Disney". And that's precisely what I'm trying to explain! It's ok whether you like the sequels or not like them. Everyone has his own taste. I just find funny complaining for a whole saga originally made for kids for being "too Disney". I dont know if you get my point here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEsOqEpNF0k&list=PL8SlwcJuVWR2FNtL-6Wo5QUP6LMjpNJUA
LEGENDS CANON
Then there's those who hated the prequels, that said there was nothing worse than the phantom menace, those who hated on George Lucas for doing such a crap, but now praise the prequels because Disney is satan for them and they want the old canon back. George Lucas ended up selling SW to Disney because, he ain't no fool, he knows this fanbase is one of the most toxic and ungrateful that has ever existed. And he saw it with the prequels feedback... Then they now have the guts to demand him to continue the old canon? Smells like hypocrite-crying fanboys to me.
Tumblr media
My whole point is....It's ok if you are a new/Disney sequels fan, it's ok if you are a prequels fan, it's ok if you are a SW original movies fan, Legends canon fan, OG fan, casual fan, hardcore fan... as always you understand that not everyone will agree with your point of view, not everyone will like or think the same way as you do, or live SW the same way as you do. There's a difference between respecting and agreeing with, concepts which sometimes get mixed and taken as the same thing, which is not. Respect other fans mean "I don't agree with you but I know how much this means for you, so I won't intentionally mock you" WHICH THING LEADS US TO THE NEXT TOPIC:
JOHN BOYEGA
*takes a deep breath*
Man. I dont know. He's a full grown up man and he's behaving like a 5 yo on his social media...... John is the actor who gives life to Finn (the ex stormtrooper). It all started with this sexist comment he responded to a fan in his IG.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then people (naturally) got offended, specially reylos. But instead of apologizing he kept on going, remarked what he said and also did a video to mock the reylo community.
You think I'm only defending a ship here but no. Its bigger than that. He has the right to feel left out in this saga because I agree with him IN THAT FACT. He is probably the actor which is more into the SW world, he was always a big fan (of the whole cast I mean). Thats why fans love him do much. And I did love him too. And he (naturally) wanted to have more spotlight on this saga ( I think Finn was one of the most wasted characters of these movies tbh) But instead of taking it the mature way he's having a tantrum on his IG because Finnrey did not become a real thing, he's trolling reylos and encouraging SW haters and antis to bully them whose are already having a hard time with TROS end (which I'll talk about later because I dont like their attitude about it either).
And it's not just raise the hate on shippers thing dude you could just apologize because you said something sexist and offended a lot of people who ship reylo and really means a thing for them. The whole thing that the greatest achievement a man can have with a woman is sex is just DISGUSTING. Rey kissed Ben but now he's gone Finn has the road clear and can fuck her? BRUH.
This is all so wrong and he was the one who started it.
Tumblr media
ADAM DRIVER
I'm really relieved Adam does not have any social media because omg I would be suffering so much rn...
I honestly have never emotionally connected with an actor so much as I did with him. His whole acting is so good and I could really notice on this last movie. I'm starting to watch his other movies. And not just his acting, he's so professional off camera too.
I'm really happy and proud of him for his Oscar nomination, he really deserves it TT
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But I'm worried this whole John Boyega thing affects him. Idk how I would feel if I were in his shoes, if my coworker was saying those things on social media and then smile at me like nothing is happening. But honestly what hurts me the most is he's having a worse time with "reylos".. I think the rumors of him having an affair with Daisy Ridley was what messed things up. I honestly dont know if its true, I've got some info but it's hard to believe. Because there are so many haters manipulating fake info that I dont trust anything and anyone anymore.
And this is where I talk about:
REYLOS AND DAIVERS
BOI OH BOI
This is gonna be hard....
First of all, I don't consider Daivers (Daisy x Adam shippers) as part of the reylo community. I'm sorry. But its fucking disgusting you going to demand Adam to divorce from his wife, abandon his son and then start dating Daisy because of this rumor or because you can't separate fiction from reality.... I read he even recieved death threats ARE WE NUTS??? They (Adam and Daisy) having a good chemistry working together doesn't mean they are in love, kids...
Driver has an awesome wife and a lovely son. Daisy is currently dating someone.
Tumblr media
Infidelity is gross. No more. And I would be so disappointed at them if this turns out to be true. But seeing all what's happening around the actors and specially having all this haters out there... I'll say this was all false information.
Daiver is not real and won't be. So stick only to the fictional ship.....
About Reylo itself. I find REALLY funny how people who dont know shit about what this ship means say it's an abusive relationship. Bullshit. I wouldn't be shipping them if so.
Also the people still stating it's not real/canon hiding themselves behind the "Ben solo is dead lol" argument. Do you stop loving someone when they die?
Yes, they love each other. No, it wasn't always reciprocated love. They started being enemies in the force awakens, friends who understood and cared for each other through force dyad in the last jedi and ended up being lovers at the end of the rise of Skywalker. Rey wants to revenge her family (her falling to the dark side) but also wants Ben Solo back, and he wants to be the most powerful leader on the galaxy and still being kylo ren. But they eventually meet in the middle between light and dark and Leia finally reaches out to him to make him turn to the light. That's their fight. That's the angst. That's the tea. "No one is ever really gone" there's always hope. Star Wars is centered in HOPE. And their story represents it at its finest.
Tumblr media
NOW. The reylo community.
Despite you liked it or not the end they gave to the saga... I think JJ Abrams doesn't deserve all the hate he's receiving... he probably did a lot of things wrong but seriously... just stop. Not only from reylos but the whole fandom.
Sending hate won't lead to anything now...
Tumblr media
I enjoyed The rise of Skywalker. Indeed I spent half of the movie crying and I loved it.
You can cry as much as you want the loss of Ben (although I have hope for him still being alive in a way, there are plenty of theories) but that doesn't give you the right to death threat JJ. And I think I'll stop here cause I'm already tired.
Everyone has their own taste, preferences, favourite characters, ships, whatever. I pray for people stop judging others for their tastes, specially in this cursed fanbase. Sorry if I ever misbehaved trying to defend what I think or like. I just want this place to be supportive and safe for everyone and everything what's happening is not helping... We are all SW fans and that's our connection point. Dont discredit others for having another point of view...
I'll leave it here, but I'm open to debate or talk about anything I said in a respectful way.

I'm Fine - Chen Li Nong
Tumblr media
A/n: Actually, I've been itching to write something for this little smol bean since a while ago. ❤️ I'm so glad that he seems happier in the recent episodes and I sincerely wish only the best for him. Anyways, this is my first time writing something on tumblr so yepp, hope ya'll like it.
Summary: When things get too overwhelming , he's just glad that you're there for him
Words: 1565 words.
Genre: angsty (but not too much?) + fluff
-----------
You woke up in the afternoon feeling all drowsy. Thankfully, it was the weekend, so you had no classes to attend.
The lights in your room were too bright for you to handle right after you wake up and you silently cursed when you realize you might have accidentally increased the electricity bills, along with the rate of yourself getting skin cancer.
Yet, remembering the reason you didn't switch off the lights in the first place had made you smile and with that, your sour mood faded away.
Last night, you were on the phone with one of your favorite human beings on Earth - Chen Li Nong.
He came back from Bei Jing yesterday and just like he promised, he had called you the moment he returned to home.
You two spoke for a bit on the phone and then switched to texting when it got too late at night because the both of you didn’t want to bother your families’ sleep.
While texting, you made sure your lights were switched on because he insisted it, saying that staring at your phone in the dark would spoil your eyes and since he was speaking from experience, you decided to take to his advice.
However, like always , you were the first to fall asleep while exchanging midnight texts with him.
You looked around your bed for your phone and found it under the pillow. You couldn’t help but smile at the baracade of texts he sent you after you fell asleep, one of them being a reminder to call him the moment you wake up.
Of course, that’s what you did after reading the sent text. It took a while, but you finally heard a click.
“Hey hey, you’re awake.”
“Mm, and I’m surprised you are too.”
You heard him chuckle from the other side of the line and that made you smile as well.
His chuckle suddenly came to a halt and you heard distant murmurs from the phone. You tried staying quiet and also to listen to what was going on, but you still failed to grasp the situation at the other side of the line.
Then, there was quiet sigh before he whispered to the phone hastily, “Um sorry, I’m a bit busy right now, is it alright if we meet up tonight?”
So, you and Li Nong quickly set the time and place of your sudden meet up.
Then, you were left at the other side of the line, feeling a bit worried for him after you both exchange your quick ‘goodbye’s.
Actually, 'worry' is sommething familiar for you by now.
In fact, you’ve been worried ever since antifans started spreading nasty rumours about Li Nong.
He hasn’t mention anything about that though, only telling you nice things like how awesome everyone is, how kind the staffs are and how he enjoyed his time there.
So, you decide not to think much about it and occupied yourself with other stuffs whilst waiting for time to pass.
And soon enough, time did pass and it was time for you to head out of your house to the usual place you two hang out.
When you see a familiar tall figure ahead, wearing his trademark yellow sweater, you immediately started to run to him.
Your footsteps weren’t the most quiet ones, so he didn’t take long to notice them. He turned around out of curiosity, only to be suddenly engulf into a big bear hug. He laughed heartily and thought that you were adorable, hugging you back just as tight.
You buried your face into his chest and his scent surrounded you in a way that made you feel light and dizzy.
“I miss you.” He spoke softly before proceeding to give you a soft kiss on your head.
This made you smile, and you had to pull yourself away from his chest so that you could take a look of the face you’ve missed.
The first thing you notice was his eyes. Li Nong was staring at you with the usual way he does and you swear you were going to choke and die from how much affection his eyes were drowning you in.
Still, you also noted that his dark circles were more prominent and he had lost some of his baby fats.
Honestly? He looked exhausted.
“You alright?” you asked worriedly.
He continued staring at your face for a long while before smiling and lying straight into your face, “I’m fine.”
“Tell me, what are you feeling right now?” you tried again.
“I’m happy, because I get to see you.”
You softened at his reply, knowing that it held some truth to it, “Me too, but I know that there’s something’s wrong.”
“I’m just kind of tired.”
“Not getting enough sleep?”
“Mm.”
By then, you both were holding hands and walking through the park that held many of your memories.
After a moment of silence, Li Nong spoke again, “Have you heard anything about me?”
With that, your heart broke a little as you remembered the horrible things people said about him.
He stopped walking and turned to you to observe your face, worry evident in his eyes.
“They’re not true.” he told you, sincerity overflowing from his words.
You gave his hand a squeeze as a sign of assurance, "I know."
The worried look on his face didn't change and so you tried once again , "I know you, you're nothing like those stupid rumours. And if anyone cares to know the true you, they won't either, because those rumours don't define you."
"But the thing is, there are people who actually believe them. And I know I shouldn't bother with what they say but it's really hard not to let it affect me. And it makes me question whether I even deserve to be among the current top nine."
You kept quiet and listened , noting that his voice held deep sadness to them. Looking at his face, you also could see stress taking a huge toll on him.
You let go of his hand. Then, with your two hands, you cupped his face and tilted it downwards so that he was looking right into your eyes.
"You've worked very hard, and even if those people can't see how hard you've worked, I do. And it's not only me, your family who loves you does too. Not to mention, you have your fans full support. Believe me, I have seen brave fans standing up for you and also kind fans that never stop encouraging you."
You gave him a reassuring smile, "Whether or not you deserve to be on the top nine, no one can say anything about it because there are people voted for you to be there, alright?"
"Yeah, but-"
You interrupted him by squishing his cheeks, "Look, everyone has their own reasons of why they like you. It doesn't matter whether it's because you are attractive or because you are talented, those are their reasons and you couldn't force them to think otherwise, okay?"
He took a moment to process your speech and looked at you with uncertainty. Still, you do not look away, trying to assure him that everything you said were nothing but truth.
And once again, you prompted him to accept your word vomit filled with underlying flattery.
"Okay?" You asked gently, hoping to get your point accross.
His facial expressions softened and the corners of his lips lifted up into a small smile, "Okay" he replied as he nodded.
And you slowly rubbed his face with your thumb, "Now that's the smile that I love."
Li Nong smiled from ear to ear at the sound of your comment, but felt a bit bashful. You , on the other hand, felt butterflies in your stomach. A warm feeling slowly settled in your heart as you both kept eye contact with each other.
You loved how Li Nong was somehow still kind of shy when he was already in a relationship with you.
Then, you noticed the way his gaze briefly lowered to your lips and you felt all jittery when he looked back up to you.
"I want to kiss you." He stated, as a matter of fact.
He gently wrapped his hands around your waist, stepping closer to you and yet still not tearing his eyes away from you, "Um, may I?"
You loved how he was so polite about it. You didn't want to be too shy, but somehow Li Nong holding you in his hands had melted your insides. Not trusting yourself to speak, you nodded meekly.
He smiled and leaned forward, letting his lips meet yours. You felt like you were going crazy with how soft his lips were on yours, and even more when his lips lingered as he pulled away.
The two of you looked at each other for a while before bursting into small giggles, never looking away from each other.
His eyes shimmered with adoration for you, and he kept his hands around you securely.
At that moment, Li Nong knew exactly what he wanted for the future. He wanted to wake up every-day with you in his arms and he wanted to always be able to have you near to him.
With you by his side, he sincerely believes that everything will be fine and somehow, everything will get even better.

Campaign 3 (Bell's Hells)
(This is going to be a bit of a long rant. It's not an angry rant though, so please bear with me. Also this is not me bashing people for having their own opinions but more or less me explaining in my own opinions why C3 isn't nearly as bad or "boring" as some people say it is.)
I have some opinions about the Critical Role campaigns, but especially Bell's Hells, that I need to share. This came up between a talk with me and friend who said she hated Campaign 3 and that it wasn't even worth watching compared to Vox Machina and Mighty Nein. Even going far as to say they shouldn't have even done this campaign. And I've noticed a lot of people saying that they don't like C3 as much as the others or that it's not as good, even though we are only 28 episodes in. So I have some things to say.
I personally love C3. I never really got into Vox Machina, and I didn't start watching C2 until it was almost over. And when I went back to watch C2, I couldn't even really get into it until we found out Nott's backstory and then I was invested and that wasn't even until episode 48 of C2.
To begin with, I didn't even feel that big of an attachment to the C2 characters until later on in the campaign as opposed to Bells Hell's where I was enjoying the characters from the first episode. (I also realize that had I watched C2 from the beginning of its run I might have a different opinion, but I can't turn back time to form those first attachments).
(I also personally enjoy Bell's Hells dynamics way more this early in the campaign than I did with VM and M9, minus Veth/Nott and Caleb's dynamic, which is *chef's kiss*).
Going from watching the beginning of C2 to watching C3 I really feel like the crew was able to fully get into a character that they truly enjoy playing in this campaign (Especially Ashley) as you can tell they feel more comfortable interacting with each other this time around. They're more friendly, funny, and flirty with each other (which might be possibly b/c it's not streamed live anymore) as that's just how their characters are to each other from the get go.
Bell's Hells are already way closer to each other only 28 episodes in than M9 was. They really feel like a group of friends that care about each other and just want to know more about each other's backstories and families as opposed to M9 early on. Yes, M9 cared about each other to an extent in the early campaign but it was mostly their distrust of other people and their respective trauma that kept most of them from truly trusting each other until later on in show once they'd traveled together long enough to see the good and bad parts of each other.
Also I don't really think the pacing is as slow as people think, it's just that they have more story important dialogue with each other, as opposed to M9 who didn't really tell each other anything heavy, lore wise, until later on in the campaign and only after having traveled together for most of the campaign. Plus I enjoy having more than one character's backstory being focused on as opposed to 1 at a time as C2 seemed to do. Not to mention, In C3 they all play off each other so well that, to me, just seeing and hearing these characters interacting with each other is almost more enjoyable than following the possible plotlines.
Besides, from what I can tell when C2 started some people also weren't super fond of it b/c they were used to VM and didn't really want to see the characters they'd grown to care about not be part of the story. People dislike change. It's as simple as that.
(If you've read this far this is basically a long-winded way of saying that C3 only seems slower b/c is a lot more character and lore focused than the other campaigns and that's not a bad thing, it's just different.)
