hi everyone! the ch10 upload date has been updated to next friday but there’s a very good chance it’ll be up before then! part 1 is very close to being finished but me and thea having very differing weekend schedules (her weekend being mon/tues) means that sometimes editing doesn’t get done as fast as we want it to, so just to give ourselves a little wiggle room and to keep from pushing it back too often :-) thanks for being patient!!
I think one of the most realistic parts about Baby Reindeer (2024) is how much Donny downplays the abuse he faces
I know everyone wants to hate on him for being “stupid” and blame him for everything that happened because yes from an outsiders perspective he made questionable choices but isn’t that what HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE DO?
I know so many people who’ve “played nice” or tried to downplay abusive behavior. You try and tell yourself “It wasn’t that bad”, or that it was just some crazy experience that should be forgotten. It seems so much easier to stay silent and just try to move on.
I like girls that are just a little bit strange. A bit bizarre, a lil weird, a lil spooky even. Something is slightly off about them and it makes them endearing. Also girls who have just lost the plot.
sam’s life is like a possession john hands over to dean right before he dies with the words ‘save him or kill him’. sure dean has always protected sam, always cared for sam, but in that moment dean inherits sam. all decisions about sam become dean’s, just like before all decisions about sam were supposed to be john’s <3 has he ever had a scrap of autonomy in his life. has anyone ever thought he deserved it
Been chewing on Killers of the Flower Moon since I saw it. I think there wasn’t enough of Lily Gladstone, but I saw a review on letterboxd saying this is Scorsese’s angriest film yet, and I think that’s really true. I think he wants the audience to, if not hate these white men, then at least to be seething with rage at the injustices they inflicted on the Osage people. It was wrong and cruel and every second of the film is there to drive that point home, even parts of Lily Gladstone’s absence. I think it really comes together at the very end with the “what happened next” sequence (which I won’t spoil), but made me weep, it was so affecting. That sequence, after everything you saw, really elevates the film beyond its minor flaws.
on my deathbed i’ll probably be thinking abt that one tomgreg fic where greg goes to toms office and forgets what he needed to say so they have steamy sex on his desk immediately followed by greg remembering the info which was that toms fired
i saw a review that said good omens 2 wasn’t as queer as it was promised to be, and it somehow cancelled out all the finale spoilers i came across
crowley confessing to aziraphale? maybe a little exaggerated. fanart of the kiss? the usual ship art. i went in with zero expectations, so the moment crowley grabbed aziraphale by the coat and pulled him in, my jaw hit the floor. it was like a reverse queerbait lol
