bought 1kg of 100% wool yarn directly from the farmer and I've never felt more poweful

#i need to learn to dye yarn now and actually buy the dye and all of those things #but i feel really happy about it #it was also incredibly cheap (230 pesos/ uhhh i think like 15 dollars)#it also smells a little bit like sheep and it makes me giddy for some reason #🐌

ZIGGY.................. the white worm.......#i miss him so bad man :-((((( he had a truly iconic run #he was a stray living in the field beside my parents' house which he shared w a flock of sheep #and he was eating from our garbage bin so we lured him into the house with meat pies #he appeared like. a week after david bowie died #he had heterochromia. dad was calling him david until ziggy randomly stuck #my dad was convinced bowie's soul has been reincarnated into this strange lil white cat's body #he was v deaf and had the honkiest meow ever every time i talked 2 dad on the phone i could always hear zig poppin off in the background #he always smelled kind of weird bc he drank from various dubious water sources XD #just ziggy things #but the poor lil guy had v aggressive skin cancer :-(((( he had to get his ears trimmed n he looked like a lil polar bear #i catsat him last weekend n we had sooo many snuggles. he covered all my (black) clothes in white fur #in fact i put on my sweater vest this morn 2 discover that it was still covered in white fur n cried :-(((#but yes. i groomed him w his fav brush while he was being put to sleep so. since we are all in agreement that zabraks are like, cat-lizard-alien people, then they should have an aversion to water (or some kind of chemical) due to their biology, and an affinity for a different chemical, like how cats love wool and sheep because wool is full of lanolin, an oil produced by nursing cats that induces nursing behavior in kittens and adult cats alike.

adult zabraks are reduced to kittens when they smell a certain kind of fabric/a certain alien species that naturally produces lanolin/its space equivalent. because in a galaxy that large, it has to be possible. even funnier if iridonia is home to a second native alien species that evolved to produce space-lanolin so ancient zabraks didn’t eat them.

I'm doing it! I'm washing the fleece! That's soak one. I'm on soak two now (will take a pic in a mo). The water was a very definite opaque brown, but a few soaks and it should be ok. The wool itself is already getting kinda lighter. I'm just hoping I'm not fucking it up. 👍

Actually, dw doesn’t rely on bog standard culture shock enough. And I just mean straight up city/country differences. People who’ve never seen a real life cow or sheep before suddenly being all wtf about it even though they haven’t left the year they’re from and have only gone 200 miles away. It’s just they’ve never left the city proper before. It’s a shock.

#i miss him so much going through old photos on my laptop and like every second photo i took was an anton photo #there were so many little things about him that will never be there again. But I'm so happy i got to see them even the disgusting ones.#he would lay on my feet when i was cutting vegetables. he would flatten his ears as a way of saying hi.#he would do his best impression of a human hello when encountering people on his walks. he loved to eat carrots #and whenever he got one he'd run off to his bed with it and the crunching would be so loud.#he could notice when people were angry or sad and he'd try to comfort me and lick my face when i was crying.#we'd throw sticks for him into wheat fields and he'd lose them in there and prance like a deer only his ears sticking out.#he smelled really awful most of the time. he loved to eat shit and dead animals.#he was really scared of sheep and skylarks and our neighbors cat #he loved swimming and when he first learned how he splashed around so much like a little fountain.#he liked to sleep with his head on my shoes. at night i would hear the tap of his little feet #and then a thump when he'd lay down against my parents bedroom door and then a really loud sigh.#he once got on the table and ate the bolognaise when my mom was picking me up from school but he left a plateful for me #he made genuinely the strangest noises I've ever heard a dog produce.#after i moved out he was always so happy when i came to visit. he loved people #when he was younger there were a few trigger words that made him so excited he'd run up the stairs and howl. one of them was my sisters nam #as he got older he became more of a baby and so cuddly and calm.#i'm really sad that i didn't get to say goodbye to him or be there when he died but i hope he knew how much i love him

#my dad says so many things where i'm just like oh that's normal and then i grow up and lo and behold NO ONE SAYS THAT!#but also sometimes i assume he made it up and he didn't!!#i assumed he made up hitch in my giddy-up and he did not (though i still hold that he uses it nonstandardly (to mean wedgie))#i wasn't sure about 'can be. sure would!' but that seems to be a him original #he also loooooves malaphors. he likes to pair them: e.g. wake up and smell the roses/stop and smell the coffee #which is cute BUT. he thinks he made them up! like each of them individually but also the concept of malaphors (mixed idioms) 🙄#though he doesn't call them that. he calls them [his name]isms (because he thinks he made them up)#one time i was trying to figure out if a term my family uses is unique to us or not and i looked it up and got a hit on urban dictionary #so i opened it and IMMEDIATELY COULD TELL THAT HE WROTE THE ENTRY. I've been having weird anxiety today and I think it's cause I'm excited? about too many things? at once? Like what is happening? Who am I?

#the wax warmer I ordered for my room & all the little wax melt cubes came today and I LOVE it!#for personal reasons I uhhh do not love candles so I am LOVING having the nice scents without having to light a candle #I ordered a SUPER CUTE Christmas one for the living room too I'm EXCITED & all the little cubes I got smell GOOD!!!!#my sims have goats & sheeps now!!!! I haven't been able to fully dive into the game too much yet but #they are SO CUTE. ur all lucky I haven't spammed nothing but sims goats & sheep screenshots allll day #and I took down all my turkey day decor and now it's time to decorate for Christmas and I'm REALLY pumped for it this year #most of my presents are wrapped! and I'm gonna put em under my little tree! thinking abt the existing stereotypes within asoiaf culture, and the valesmen's are probs like.... all they eat is cheese, they probably don't know what a fish is. (they do; they have a thriving port actually) that they're savages of the mountain (always got mistaken with the mountain clansmen which are typically called the mountain wildlings). that they frequently smell like sheep (they breed other animals too) and thats so funny skdjfjkdshf

#they also yell so much (probs due to distance)#i also sorta wanna lean on the fact that they have abt 50 different dialects the further u go up the mountains #bc the mountain clansmen surely adapted the common tongue in their own languages which fits better in their community #leading to the more northern area where the accent of common tongue became thicker #sorta like scottish accent became far harder to decipher to compare to english #but first of all they DO NOT smell like sheep. all the time.#GENERAL: OUT OF CHARACTER.
