Pigeons are not solitary animals, existing within a set "flock" where there is (like many communal bird species) a "pecking order" or hierarchy. For Pigeons in research thus far the hierarchy seems to be limited to navigational decisions with one or a select few at the "head"

Heads are actually heavily theorized to be dependant on size, where heads are more likely than not to be larger (makes sense for if you're that big, you're good enough at survival to maintain that size)

Gotham Pigeon Packs?? A lot of the "integrated" pigeons are deemed navigational leaders due to their programming alarming accuracy.

AKA- Pigeons are smart enough to go "This ones weird as FUCK-" but also "Karen knows where the good food is and sometimes leads us safely away from shoot outs, so yeah she's chill"

(Of course you run into the early issues of pigeons following Tims spy birds into active combat scenes, so a lot of his birds are "retired" and work purely as moving spy cameras around the city- but otherwise live completely normal pigeony lifes)

there are pigeons that come back to my college every spring semester and they made a nest!! in a little hole!!! what a smart place for a nest!!! they keep accidentally dragging half the next out to leave but still!!

Remus hums under his breath as he tends to the pot on the stove. Sirius is keeping a casual but close eye on him—things tend to erupt, or catch on fire, whenever Moony sets foot in the kitchen. But all is quiet aside from Remus's humming and the scratch of charcoal against paper. It's just them and their little cabin for what feels like forever Sirius doesn’t need to look at the page to know what he’s drawing; he knows he’ll find hunched shoulders, a notched nose, and soft curls. Remus chuckles under his breath, drawing Sirius’s attention away from his drawing. “What?” Sirius asks, quirking his head to the side. Remus covers his mouth as his chuckle turns into something more jubilant and less controlled. “Oh,” he says between laughs. “Oh, bother.” “What?” Sirius asks again, fighting a smile of his own. “It’s sugar.” “Where?” Sirius’s eyes widen. “In the pasta?” Remus nods, desperately trying to fight his giggles, and Sirius loves him so, so desperately. “You even brought tinned sauce,” Remus gasps out. “You gave me one job.”

Vimes really was dragged into financial stability kicking and screaming

HONESTLY I don't know which watch book this is specifically in response to but since my most recent reread was Feet of Clay its making me think about Vimes ditching his new expensive functional boots at the first hint of an opportunity and demanding someone nearby trade with him so he can wander around in the fog with the soles made of wet cardboard. And he starts naming the street corner he's on by the feel of the cobbles and the other guy is like. yeah? the street sign is right there Commander I know that?

I heard about a bike company that started making their packaging look like it had a tv inside and their bikes stopped getting broken in shipping.

I wonder if there's something you could pretend your pottery was that would make it get taken more seriously by the postal service. If you could like... Put a label on it that looked medical or to do with preservation of artefacts or something? Idk this isn't really a serious suggestion, just an entertaining thought
