idk i just think it’s a little weird that almost every character who gets the “innocent baby” / “little ray of sunshine” treatment usually ends up just having neurodivergent traits and actual negative traits in the show that nobody pays attention to. like idk man it just feels like diet infantilization to me and it’s a teeny weeny bit uncomfortable to see all the time

sick, unserious thought but it fucks me up knowing just how much devotion is engraved into sae and rin’s bones.

they’re both people who are all-or-nothing types, when it comes to love and life. they do not put in effort into a future that are not fruitful, into people that they do not consider worthy of their time. though the simple difference between them is sae is more of the go-getter between the two in a way where, once he decides on being with you, he gives everything. there’s no place you could go without him carefully watching over you and giving you his hand any time you needed it. it’s the older brother instincts in him that allows you to trip over your footsteps, yet present to bandage your bruised knees. he’s the one who’s there when you feel alone, he makes sure he’s the one who knows you best. he will not take defeat when it comes to you. sae’s love comes as presence, spoken with actions, feels firm like a smooth stone that fits the palm of your hands. it holds warmth.

rin struggles with the acceptance of his own emotions at first because of how much he fears the possible rejection and abandonment. he’s conscious of the underlying intention of giving himself up to you— the simple thought is just as foreign as it is loving someone wholly with his heart. but if you gave him that time, that security, that feeling of safety in your arms, then there could be nothing and nobody could ever sway him from doing anything for you. it seems so bizarre from an outside perspective, but your voice is placed at such a high pedestal to rin. it’s more than vocal cords, but the thoughts and wishes you have for him and others, he considers them as demands— requests even if you don’t intend them to be because if there’s something he can do for you, he will do it. all of rin’s love comes as acknowledgment, to be thought of, to be considered a helping hand, it feels like a melting popsicle on a hot summer day. sticky, sweet, refreshing.

I haven’t listened to many musical soundtracks since 2020, when I was in my Hamilton phase (and that fucking musical still refuses to leave me alone), but I’ve decided to revisit them again and like. Yeah, no, they haven’t changed since I last listened to them, but like. My brain can’t decide if the Heathers musical is Coalecroux coded or Shepnax coded

I mean, it’s mostly Coalecroux coded for when they first meet (see; Fight For Me), but it’s mostly Shepnax coded once they get together. Mostly because I feel JD obsessing over and worshiping Veronica is very reminiscent of when Sarnax and Shepherd first started really becoming friends in CoS (he got a lot less worshippy by the end, but in the beginning he was practically worshipping the ground Shep walked on). Idk, I’m just rambling.

Ulysses obsession with the Courier is a special type of sad to me cause the Courier’s part was so important but so unwitting. They had no idea what was in the package they delivered and neither did he. Neither had an idea of what it could’ve done and the Courier was only caring out their job (mind you the Courier could be killed via notes in the express contract if they don’t). To them it was just another regular delivery to the divide and one that they likely thought would help, just like all the ones before.

It’s so tragic for Ulysses to hold so much ire to the Courier when it really was the case of it could’ve been anyone. Anyone could have delivered that package but they did and so he focused the blame on them and it destroys what he is trying to instill in the courier on a fundamental level.

right ok so if etoiles is the strongest mf in terms of fighting off the codes, and the codes just keep putting him in situations as if to test his strength and get stronger themselves, and they keep giving ominous messages that seem to be threatening Pomme and the other eggs…

could they just be testing to see how much it’ll really take to get etoiles to finally break, so when their next attack on the eggs come, he won’t be an issue?
