"You Can Call Her Phone" series (Lando's Version)
author's note : so I'm thinking if you guys like this I can do it with other drivers (only Oscar, Logan, Alex, Yuki, Liam, Pierre, and Carlos), but you'll have to give me the idea of why they're answering in the first place. I've got a George one lined up next so stay tuned for that.
pairing : Lando Norris x fem!reader
warnings : once again a lot of cursing and shitty men, not proof read
word count : 627
Tumblr media
The walk home had been quick, because you refused to have this argument in the middle of the Monaco streets where anybody could hear or see. The crowd at the club had been embarrassing enough. So as soon as you got inside, Lando was ready to defend himself.
“He called you his bitch, babe! I wasn’t going to sit there and let him call you those things!” He was fuming, mostly at the aforementioned man, but there was no one else there to listen to him.
“And then you basically called me your personal stripper, Lando!” He opened his mouth to talk, but you kept going. “That was so inappropriate and uncalled for. I just can’t even believe you would say something like that.”
He understood where you were coming from, honestly. But Jack had been making eyes at you the whole night without you being aware, and when you went to dance with some friends, he started making lewd that got under his skin. It wasn’t a surprise that Lando had snapped. “He started way before the bitch comment, babe. Okay, and i just couldn’t sit there anymore and take it. He needed to know-“
The phone ringing cut him off and he looked at the screen in your hand.
Jack.
“Is he really fucking calling you after all that?” Lando’s eyes had darkened. “Give me the phone.” You listened, handing him the phone with a resigned look on your face. “What the fuck do you want?” Lando asked him, voice steady with an anger you hadn’t head in a while. “No I’m not gonna give her the fucking phone, you ripe shithead. After the way you spoke about her and to her face, you’re lucky you’re even in the city right now. Because if I had my way, I’d have your ass sent to a fucking tundra where you can’t ever be warm again.” You heard yelling from the other line, but none of it was clear enough for you to make out what he was saying. “I will get a fucking restraining order on you and your goddamn dog if I ever hear that you come near us again, got it?” More yelling came from the other line, but Lando didn’t wait for him to finish, hitting the red end call button.
“You done?” You ask, holding out your hand for him to return your phone.
“One second, I’m blocking him on everything so he can’t talk to you again.”
“And if he makes a second account?”
“I’ll fucking call up Mark Zuckerberg and get him banned from making any social media again.”
“Now you’re being ridiculous.” He rose an eyebrow at you, but you made no move to grab your phone from him. With a sigh, you dropped your hand and stepped closer to him, pushing your phone away so he would look at you. “Seriously Lan, I want you to know that I’m not okay with what you said tonight at the club. It was one, out of line; and two, none of their business.” That got him to smirk, moving his hands to your waist to pull you flush against him.
“I know baby, I was out of line when I said that to him. I’m sorry I made you uncomfortable with my words.” He kissed your forehead and you leaned into him, content with the apology for now. “But just so we’re on the same page, you’re my private dancer?”
You moved to hit his chest, but he caught it first, bringing your hand up to his mouth for a light peck. When you didn’t answer, he licked your hand and you shrieked. “That’s gross, Lando!” But the smile on your face told him that everything was okay for now.

Could you do fic for Checo Perez with wife reader? He had some insecurity about his abilities to race against the grid and she just hugged and comforted him. Add something else to it if you want to. Tag me later Thanks!! :))
The pressure is insane… - Sergio Perez x Wife! Reader
Plot: Checo replacing Alex was probably the best thing to happen to him in his Formula One career. However, so much pressure comes from being in that second Red Bull seat, not just the team but the fans too, and Checo doesn’t like the pressure on him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Checo came into the seat, and performance wasn’t great, people in the team told him it would be fine and to keep his head up because everyone knew he was getting used to how different the Red Bull Car is thanks to Max’s driving style.
But at it came to his second season, and it didn’t seem like things were improving much, Christian kept talking to him, explaining what was expected of him as if he hadn’t already informed him over 100 times.
He was just struggling with a car that was clearly built for their main driver, which is why Pierre crumbled under pressure and it’s why they couldn’t put up with Alex when he didn’t learn the car quick enough for them.
The gave Checo the benefit of the doubt throughout 2022, but when Red Bulls most dominant season came around it was without a doubt that your husband had to step up.
And in your eyes he had, getting two race wins under his belt, but he wasn’t consistent enough for Christian and it seemed that he wanted Checo to be actually challenging Max more.
It got worse when the Ferrari and McLaren started to beat him despite being in the worse car, and it was deemed a ‘driver issue’
Sergio felt awful, for a man who had been racing for as long as he had, he never felt doubtful of his abilities to put on a show and drive to the best of his ability.
But now, in the Red Bull seat, he actually understood the words ‘under pressure’ because he was under it constantly.
“Baby what’s wrong with you, you’ve been jittery all week” you ask your husband who was currently watching over some of his old races with a notepad.
“Hmmm?” He asks not even throwing a glance in your direction.
You knew he wasn’t listening.
“Well I just think that when aliens invade Earth that we should have a bunker ready and prepared so that you and I can help create a new civilisation after the government kill them all …” you say trying to grab a reaction from him.
“Hmmm yeah that’s really nice” he starts but then he looks up and his head cocks to the side as if his brain just processed the words you said. “Wait what?” He asks.
You chuckle and little bit happy to have his attention.
“I just wanted to see if you were listening, I asked what’s been up with you lately” you say softly, taking a seat next to him, reaching over to grab the remote and pause the race he was observing so his full attention was on you.
“Nothing wrong, I’m fine” he lies.
“Hermoso, we’ve been married for 6 years, I know when somethings up” you smile taking his hand into yours and kissing the back of it softly while watching for his reaction.
“I just … nevermind it’s stupid” he sighs looking down.
“None of your feelings are stupid baby, please let me in” you say calmly.
“I just feel like, I’m so singled out on the grid. You’ve got so many amazing drivers and then there’s me. Lewis is a 7x world champion, and and Max my own team mate has won 2, and he’s probably going to win this year by a landslide and then there’s Fernando again he has two championships, and then you’ve got all this new talent in Lando, and Charles and Carlos and now that Oscar is here, it’s getting tough” he admits and you softly smile at him.
“Where have all these doubts come from honey?” You ask, you knew he didn’t think he was the best driver, but he never once compared his abilities to individual drivers.
“Christian said that if I didn’t improve he’d replace me with Yuki, Liam or Daniel and that i might not even get a AlphaTauri seat as a replacement” he says putting his face in his hands with a soft sigh.
You pull him into a hug in which he nuzzles his head into your neck.
You are an incredible driver, there’s just such an insane amount of talent on the grid right now, you being one of them. World champion or not baby, your still one of only 20 drivers in the world that are here! Your a race winner and I’m so proud of everything you’ve done. You are incredible” you smile wrapping your arms around him while you feel him shake a little, presumably where he’s crying.
“Im just awful at it all. Driving, being a husband … you’ve been asking for a baby for 3 years and I keep telling you no because I’m so career focused but I can’t even seem to be good at that career” he complains and you almost laugh.
“Oh honey, I think you forget you are without a doubt the best thing that’s ever happened to me, child or no child. And where you aren’t ready because your at a point in your career that is crucial, I’ll always understand that darling. You are all I need, you are all I want. And I married you because I’m happy with you” you say tightening your hold on him.
“You know, I would never not be ready to have a kid. If you want one, we can have one. I’d never say no” he argues wiping his eyes and looking at you, only for you to release a breath of relief.
“Thank god, that night in Saudi Arabia really stuck” you admit and he cocks his head to the side not understanding. You take his hand and place it on your stomach, there wasn’t much of a bump, but a slight and minuscule weight gain was there. Enough that when he run his hand over your tummy he could feel it.
“Are you saying?” He asks and you nod.
“I know, I know it’s not the right time because your so stressed and I’ve been so nervous to tell you because I know you’ve had a lot on your plate since being in Red Bull and it was such a shock to me” you start to ramble thinking you should have waited.
“No this is the best news ever! This has made my day, my week, my year even!” He smiles before lifting you up and twirling you round.
“I love you” he says pulling you in for a kiss, happy with life.
And now he didn’t have anything to worry about, as long as he was able to provide for you and your child or children in the future he knew he could handle the pressure because now there was something else riding on it!

Silly Season 2024 Predictions
aka predicting how the grid will look for 2025:
red bull: max verstappen, daniel ricciardo
mercedes: george russell, fernando alonso (or alex albon, if fernando remains at aston martin)
ferrari: lewis hamilton(!!!), charles leclerc
mclaren: lando norris, oscar piastri
aston martin: lance stroll, yuki tsunoda (or fernando alonso, if he doesn't go to mercedes)
alpine: esteban ocon, pierre gasly
williams: kimi antonelli, alex albon (or valtteri bottas, if alex goes to mercedes)
visa cash grab rb: liam lawson, sergio perez (or yuki tsunoda, if he doesn't go to aston martin)
sauber: carlos sainz jr, nico hulkenberg
haas: ollie bearman, kevin magnussen (or zhou guanyu, if kevin retires)
thoughts, explanations (and a lot of babbling) under the cut:
red bull: maybe i'm delulu for thinking daniel to red bull will still happen lol but it makes perfect sense on paper-- daniel's already familiar with the team and works well with them, he has support from the higher ups, he's a marketing dream, he has a similar driving style and preference to max...
also i know there have been rumours about alex going to red bull again but i don't think he'll do it in the end.
mercedes: i want it to be fernando that replaces lewis bc it would bring the most chaos and drama lol, but it's also a decision that actually makes sense? swapping a world champion with another world champion, and one that isn't likely to want to stay long term (5-10 years)? i guess this is dependent on how both mercedes and aston do this year but 🙏 pls make it happen lol
alex is my second choice for the seat if fernando doesn’t take it. i started making my predictions before james confirmed that alex was signed to williams for 2025, but even with that news, i still think it's a possibility he could go to mercedes. there's been so many whispers in the press about alex wanting to either leave williams or getting offers from top teams, that i can't help but think that alex is trying to gun for a top seat.. and mercedes is his best choice for a top seat imo. not to mention that james did say that he wouldn't stop alex from leaving if he wanted to, and of course the ties with mercedes that james and williams have... it would be easy for them to do some negotiations and make it happen. also i'm sure that george would put in a good word for alex, if alex was interested.
also some honourable mentions, because there's a lot of possibilities to consider: everyone is talking about kimi antonelli and mercedes and i do think that they're going to try and push him into f1 as soon as they can.. i just don't know if they'll take the risk of putting him in the merc seat right away. i'm really interested to see how he does in f2 either way-- if he's as good as everyone says then the results will speak for themselves. i think esteban is a good option too; he's a solid driver (and underrated imo), and more importantly he has ties to merc and toto. if merc wants a more short term option then carlos is a good choice, though it's more likely he would go to sauber. as for mick, i don't think that he's merc's first (or even second or third) choice for the seat, unfortunately for him and the mick girlies. lastly, this one is a bit random but nico hulkenberg also came to mind as a solid short term option (plus, he's german).
ferrari: still can’t believe lewis is going to be driving for them.
mclaren: no notes, very solid pairing.
aston martin: i think the lineup will stay the same if fernando doesn’t want to move to mercedes. i suppose there’s a chance that the rumours about lance going to wec could be true but we will see.
if fernando does go to mercedes then yuki is probably the most obvious choice as his replacement. i also think it’s in yuki's best interest in the long term to leave the red bull family, and this would probably be the best opportunity to do so.
i was actually initially considering checo as the driver to replace fernando — they have history after all, and checo seems to love the team. however, thinking about it, 2023 really took a hit to his reputation as a driver and I don’t know if aston would want him back anyways? i think checo would absolutely reach out to them though if the seat opens up, i think he’s going to try and stay on the grid if it's possible.
alpine: i think both will stay, but if one was to leave it would probably be este (to mercedes?) rather than pierre. if he were to go then jack doohan would be the likely replacement, maybe victor martins if his results in f2 are good.
williams: like i said earlier, i think mercedes is going to try and get kimi into f1 asap, even if he doesn't win f2, and aside from merc itself, williams is the most likely option for that to happen. alex will stay if he doesn’t get the mercedes seat—the supposed red bull offer doesn't start until 2026 and i don’t think he would break his contract to go to aston or alpine.
as for who would replace alex if he does go to mercedes, i would love for it to be valtteri. i stole this idea from @velvetsainz actually, but the more i think about it, the more i like it... the idea of valtteri and james on the same team again tickles me and valtteri is a fantastic mentor (as evidenced by his relationship with guanyu). also i'm fairly certain that toto is back on valtteri's management team again so i can see toto mentioning valtteri as an option for williams in their negotations for the hypothetical alex to mercedes move. is this likely this is to happen, idk, because valtteri did pick sauber over williams in 2021 for a reason but a girl can dream lol
visa cash grab rb: this one was the one i probably struggled with the most ngl.. i think liam is definitely going to be in f1 in 2025 (and deservedly so) but the question of who's going to be in the other seat.. the three main options would be yuki, checo and daniel (if daniel remains at visa instead of moving up, either checo stays at red bull or yuki is the one getting promoted). i originally had the lineup as yuki and liam (and checo at aston martin) but ended up switching yuki and checo around in the end. if checo does end up retiring at the end of this year and yuki goes off to aston then i'm not sure who would replace him..maybe ayumu iwasa? i looked at their list of juniors and am not really familiar with anyone besides him tbh
sauber: this one pains me because i'm a huge fan of both valtteri and guanyu, and they're actually my favorite pairing, in terms of overall vibes and personality... but i would be (very pleasantly) surprised if they both manage to stay at sauber next year. i think it's a given that carlos is going to go to sauber now that he isn't with ferrari, especially with his ties his dad has to audi. i also think sauber/audi would want to start preparing for 2026 and they would also want a german driver to drive for them, hence nico hulkenberg (plus the rumours that they were interested in hulkenberg last year, but ended up renewing guanyu instead).
there's a chance that one of the current drivers could stay, which in that case it would likely be valtteri (with carlos as his teammate, rather than nico). they could also promote theo pourchaire to f1, but i think it's likely they would stick to established drivers, especially during the first couple of years that audi settle in.
haas: the new haas tp has spoken very highly of ollie and with the amount of free practice sessions they have scheduled for ollie this year, it wouldn't surprise me if they're trying to get him on the grid. i know some people think that kevin might retire after this year, but i think they would like to keep one of the current drivers since the last time they had two new drivers didn't go well 😬. on the chance that kevin does end up retiring, i think guanyu is a good shout for a replacement. it might seem a bit random but he's a consistent driver who rarely crashes and more importantly, brings a lot of money and sponsorship, which haas needs.

currently sitting in Baku airport and letting the past weekend sink in. wanted to share with you my many notes and emotions ♥️
Azerbaijan GP in general:
- in my opinion, perfect place to kind of get introduced to going to actual races. I met many people who’s first gp was this one.
- great organization overall. probably the only downside is the amount of walking you have to do because of street closures.
- price range is rather compared to the seats/options they offer is pretty good actually! especially if you book in advance. they also release GA tickets about a week or so before the gp, so anyone could enter the fanzone without having a grandstand seat. although there aren’t many places you could see the track from but there were many screens around!
- Baku is a rather small city, not too complex to navigate. I really liked it tbh.
- merch prices felt illegal but what else is new? they accepted catch (local currency) and any and all credit cards.
- volunteers were really fun to hang around with! I made friends with a couple of them for next year.
- the entire area was huge and had so much to offer for adults and kids alike. many options for food and drink.
- +30 degrees Celsius was a bit harsh but I’m good at surviving heat. you definitely get an extra tan on the grandstands ahahahah
Drivers:
- to me Daniel was taller than many people say he actually is. and broader? very solid. very beautiful. very…. beautiful….
- Charles up close was like a deer from a magical forest. very nice. was seen sprinting to the hotel on Sunday cause I think he was running late.
- Fernando did not approach us but I felt his aura even from a distance. he’s also very square and small but stocky. and super handsome.
- Liam smelled nice when he stopped to take a selfie with a couple of us standing at the gates on Sunday.
- Carlos was very present, signed a lot of stuff to so many fans, sometimes had his dissociating face while doing so. also smelled very nice. his hairy arms….. I shall not speak.
- Alex was a sweetheart <3 tall and smiley. very welcoming even if some people tried to swarm him. very friend shaped.
- I will protect Jack Doohan with my entire life, he’s so sweet and shy. will kill and maim for him. he’s also really tall but somehow tiny. saw him in his biking gear that left nothing to imagination.
- also saw Valtteri biking in his lycra (?) suit, 10/10 ass right in front of my face.
- also saw James Vowles exiting the paddock. he got swarmed by so many kids asking for his autograph, it felt like he was there to sign them to Williams. which is ironic.
- Jonathan Wheatley was in his phone while going out, wheeling out his little suitcase. I looked at him longingly. silver fox indeed.
emotionally it felt… like nothing else. I’m very keen on preserving the child-like wonderment inside of me and seeing F1 cars on track live for the first time reignited that unadulterated happiness that many of us are constantly chasing. it may not have been the best outcome of the race but I understand the appeal of watching a gp in person. it truly feels differently and, to each their own, somehow it’s better than just watching on screen.
the entire ordeal with getting to the fanzone stage first was worth it. and getting a card signed by Yuki and Daniel + Aston Martin posting me twice on main is just proof of that ahaha but honestly. great way to see the drivers up close for the first time. they felt so real.
Monday felt weird because I got used to only wearing f1 merch and constantly sprinting to get myself places. the comedown from such high intensity emotion even knocked a couple of tears out of me (allegedly). I definitely want to try and attend races more often now.
to be very honest with you, I wasn’t done being happy. and I really want to go back to the beginning. but we go on. so vicsy gp is signing off (for now). hopefully not for too long!

Checo’s reputation has sunk already and it’s going to sink even further because Carlos Slim can pay money to red bull. His career is done when redbull are done with him. This is such a bad move by red bull. They’re refusal to promote Yuki and keep him hostage to cut him lose when Honda leaves. But this has fucked up their succession and their junior. Promoting one of the VCARB drivers, gave Liam the chance to settle in the team and show himself for the second half or even the year and a half there to settle in and promoted to Red Bull. isack hadjar is also in the wings and waiting because he’s likely to win f2. He could have the year in super formula like we saw how Liam improved and then into that VCARB. They literally fired Albon and Gasly for less.
Frankly, as much as I like Checo he has been overrated multiple times throughout his career or gotten away with too much shit (aka the entire 2017 Force India season.)
I truly do not think money is the driving factor here but rather the clearly huge split between Horner and Marko. Yes, the money is always a reason but RB have become so popular in motorsport that I can not imagine they couldn't compensate any other way for it or get another sponsor.
100% agree but I always thought RedBull would be his last stop. He has been on the grid for like 10 years now, that's usually when drivers career come to an end.
RedBull have already suffered many blows this season and I see this like the last one. Again all traces back to Horner not being able to be a normal human being apparently.
I honestly think Yuki will start looking at the Audi and Alpine seat. While yes Audi looks like a bad step, if Yuki wants a better chance at a future he leave his current team. Alpine might be a sinking ship but they manage to plop up once in a while for some air so at least some luck points would be there. There is also the prospect of the 2026 heavily shifting. If he is smart he leaves on a one- or two year deal and waits to see the results of the next 2/3 seasons.
I honestly think Lawson should look at other series. WEC or FE are more likely to get him to the podium places than anything connected to RB. Hell, he could go to Indy for all I care, I just think he deserves to have a shot at a team where he can genuinely show of his pace. Or he could also be looking at another way into F1. He has been rumoured in Audi talks so fingers crossed there but for the sake of his future I hope he leaves the RedBull family and actually makes something of himself instead of waiting for a chance that will probably never come.
From what I have seen from Hadjar (I don't really follow F2 regularly) he is clearly doing well. I have however not really heard anything from RedBull themselves which makes me convinced they are going to push him to some other racing series for a year or two and then maybe look at what to do with him later. Sucks but that is probably the sad reality.
They not only fired Pierre and Alex for less but also for much lower stakes. This was at a team where RedBull with Max consistent great performances and Mercedes current form where never going to be fighting for any championships but wins at most.

heyy Al, im in need of your amazing analysis for this one. Also im really sorry if this is too long, I tend to waffle (but I feel like context is important lmao)
so I have been seeing a lot of silly season predictions already for 2022, specifically regarding the Alpha tauri and Red Bull seats since its rumored that Gasly would want to continue his career elsewhere and leave AT, hypothetically it would leave an AT seat vacant. Also keeping in mind the volatility with the second seat at the F1 RB team, if Sergio isn't singed for 2022 it could also mean another seat is available in Red Bull as well as Alpha Tauri.
So I know its a stretch but as far as I can see, the only two logical options is to fill the vacant seat with a current RB academy F2 driver which is either Juri, Jehan or Liam. or the other option is that if Mercedes doesn't renew Bottas's contract for 2022 then he would either go back to Williams (which is unlikely) so he would fill the Red Bull seat.
now my question is: from the f2 drivers who do you think is most likely to fill said vacant seats in AT, and who would be the best fit for an F1 seat between (Jehan, liam, juri)
thanks, and apologies again for the long question :)
Hi anon great insights!
Don’t apologise for waffling, when you read this you will realise that I waffle way more.
I have a few opinions about this, let’s say for some reason Sergio doesn’t sign a contract for a second year at Red Bull (I personally think that he will, but this calls for devils advocate) I don’t really see Red Bull/Helmut Marko putting a RBR junior straight into Red Bull, I think their academy is really strong at the moment and it’s a shame that all three likely won’t get seats but it’d be quite self destructive for RBR to put an unproven junior driver in the top team when 2022 is their best chance to fight for a championship with the new regulations, I also don’t think that at the moment Yuki is ready to step up to Red Bull and probably needs another year at AT.
There is a chance that they could take Alex Albon back but I’m not sure that they would do that without having him spend some time in AT just to get used to single seater racing again.
Valtteri (if he isn’t signed by Mercedes) is a possibility however my thoughts with what Merc will do is that they will hold off making the announcement until the very end of the year (I don’t really believe the rumour that the announcement will come at Silverstone) as Toto will want to hold his cards close to his chest, this obviously means that for him to potentially get a RBR seat Red Bull can’t announce anything until very late in the season (a possibility - they did it last year)
I personally don’t see the RBR lineup changing it’s looking like the strongest pairing that they have had for a while, and in terms of Pierre leaving the Red Bull family at first I was hoping that he’d move to Alpine but Fernando had a contract for 2022 and Esteban is looking like his 2022 contract will be signed too soon, and with their pileup of juniors it seems unlikely.
Unfortunately there just isn’t enough seats for old drivers to come back, new drivers to come in and the current drivers to move to better teams.
I do think that out of the current RBR juniors Jüri is most likely to get an f1 seat first, he has his Superlicence and all he has to do this year is get good results and show Helmut he can succeed, Liam will likely have a second F2 year (which is super common) and it’ll allow him to fully focus on the title fight next year (whilst he’s also got his dtm duties this year)
TLDR: this is my line up
Realistic:
RBR: max and sergio
AT: Pierre and Yuki or Jüri
Devils Advocate (Sergio and Pierre don’t re sign)
RBR: max and valtteri
AT: Alex and Yuki
