when i had a scene from the bobby novella stuck in my head where he’s making a collage out of nature magazines (another bobby pastime discovered this man just has a million hobbies) but i was too busy and burnt out to write yet also was really scared id forget this singular line about putting parts of different images together (when i have held prose lines in my head for months and not forgotten them) so i just wrote it down as bare and easy as i could….says so much in hindsight like this random ass line was so important to me

#I think when I come up with the specifics of what he’s cut out from the magazines it will hit. for now I’m like okay #me calling it the bobby novella when it literally has a title I just can’t tell if chlorine is the vibe anymore #like it IS thematically and characteristically but somethings telling me to see what else I could come up with #I don’t actually know if it’s a novella anymore. i don’t know what it is or the timeline or the arc LOL #current vibe is i just want to write him in the days before his diagnosis

#between Cass Angie and Lena their ranks were essentially just made up of kids #while Lena was technically an adult they still recruited her for Slipstream at like 18/19 which is #Still Too Young #Not to mention the fact that she was somewhat ( SOMEWHAT ) manipulated into the military at 16/17 #which I'll elaborate later on when I actually have time #but they really kept looking at these children and said “yeah these are them”#“Slap em on the cover of magazines and talk shows and also have them save the world”#one of those “if I were to have a nickel” situations but it's 3 nickels #just weird it happened 3 times #anyway writing one lil thing for puffin and then I'm out again bc I need to catch on stuff #Cali was great though!! #my dad says so many things where i'm just like oh that's normal and then i grow up and lo and behold NO ONE SAYS THAT!#but also sometimes i assume he made it up and he didn't!!#i assumed he made up hitch in my giddy-up and he did not (though i still hold that he uses it nonstandardly (to mean wedgie))#i wasn't sure about 'can be. sure would!' but that seems to be a him original #he also loooooves malaphors. he likes to pair them: e.g. wake up and smell the roses/stop and smell the coffee #which is cute BUT. he thinks he made them up! like each of them individually but also the concept of malaphors (mixed idioms) 🙄#though he doesn't call them that. he calls them [his name]isms (because he thinks he made them up)#one time i was trying to figure out if a term my family uses is unique to us or not and i looked it up and got a hit on urban dictionary #so i opened it and IMMEDIATELY COULD TELL THAT HE WROTE THE ENTRY. i mean by all means yes, free bts from hybe, but for very very different reasons. so many awful things happening and this is where they draw the line?
