i'm actually obsessed with this line from chapter 6 of trigun maximum. this might be my favourite scene so far!!!

#i haven't read past it but it's obvious this is such a character rebuilding moment for vash #the way vash 'peace and love' stampede who refuses to kill and wants to be kind to all humans is confronted with a deeply recurrent ethical #question in our society which is : is it ok to kill someone if they have committed an atrocious crime?#he is obligated to ask himself who is he to impose his beliefs on this man that is carrying such a deep wound and hurting with him because #of the person he wants to save in a matter of seconds...#it's him coming to terms that peace and love are good in theory but in practicality morality is so much more a grey area than his - until #now - black and white thinking #if my beliefs are wrong does that make me a bad person? but are my beliefs wrong if my intentions have always been the best?#idk vash being the character he is has always had great potential to be thrown into situations that challenge his morals and deep rooted #beliefs besides the humanity vs plant motif and i'm so glad he is being presented these fille as #dilemas* (pardon)#it's very satisfying and i'm very excited to see the way he will handle all of this and what he will take from it #also excited to see nicholas' stance and progression throughout the manga #trigun has been such a pleasant read :D #all the characters are so good!!!!#i'm also surprised how the story is so different from stampede #i can't wait to know more about knives in the manga #so far i'm enjoying knives in stampede quite a lot (also the fact he named himself post everything and hasn't been knives from the start)#i thought it was a cool detail #anyways that's all #i had to make a post cause i can't find any post with this scene and this made me extremely excited 😂#trigun spoilers #< gonna tag it for the people reading the manga atm like me i hope this is okay tell me if you want me to tag it differently

#aaaaaaaaaAAA #they're so precious I can't ;m;#I still haven't watched Bluey so I can't really comment on show accuracy but to me these look spot on #if you ask me the gradients work really well #if you look at them and unfocus your eyes they look like their normal markings #Vasco might benefit from having one more band between the base yellow and the lighter brown but that's totally optional and might take away #from the simplicity of his design #their colors are so true to the way I color them which is both cool and kind of uncanny #like Machete's pink details which in reality are very peachy almost closer to light orange than true pink #and their colored linearts which use the same colors I use for my colored linearts #I don't know I thought that was really cool attention to detail #they're adorable #thank you!#gift art #apupcalyptic #own characters #Machete #Vasco #their lives would be a lot less stressful in bluey universe I reckon

sometimes i think about how crepus probably wasn't father of the year and i go a little insane. the way he pushed diluc into becoming a knight of favonious at such a young age; diluc receiving his vision so early in his life; how he saw his accomplishments as both his and his father's; crepus planning to gift or getting a delusion for his son despite his vision; and, the way diluc's namecard references him as crepus' creation, which is such an impersonal and cold way to put being someone's son. not only that but, again, referencing his strenght specifically. i'm not saying crepus was a bad father, diluc loved him dearly, but the projection he did of his own dream onto diluc's life and the efforts he went through to make sure diluc was "strong enough" doesn't appear to have been the healthiest thing.

we obviously have little to no information about diluc's relationship with his dad outside of a few mentions here and there but from his character story it just seems that even the praise crepus gave diluc was always because he did well in, somehow, living his father's dream and not necessarily because of who diluc was. it's a little bittersweet.

#i think this is really cool storywise though even though it's sad to aknowledge it could be true #relationships with parents are complicated. parents projecting onto their kids is something that happens a lot. it's relatable.#and even though diluc doesn't seem to be that impacted by it or at least they haven't explored that it's still a pretty interesting detail #to compliment his characterisation. it's just obvious that hoyoverse has a lot of love for diluc and even kaeya's lore and their own worlds #they feel done with great care and attention to detail and i love that very much #thinking about diluc because his bday is in two days <3 very excited!!!#diluc #crepus #genshin impact #genshin thoughts

girl help I started writing down oc thoughts and have started contemplating the logistics of how a city carved into the walls of a ravine would have access to fresh water

#rye.txt #MaVst #'you should do some worldbuilding' I said to myself #'it'll be easy' i said #'just write down the little thoughts you've had floating around'#I AM A FOOL #there are so many bullet points in this fuckign document #and they're all devoted to the minutiae of how the city I have in my mind would function #how the very terrain would influence the culture #couldn't just do a normal city on flat terrain noooo I had to include homes carved into rock #anyway im pretending im upset but this is so much fun #I loveee getting to think about how tiny details all affect each other and influence the greater whole #it's like problem solving but I get to make the solutions as fun and fantastical as I want #if my ocs are my silly little dolls to play pretend with #then the worldbuilding is like getting to build the doll house #which is just as fun imo #anyway im gonna give the capital city an abandoned under-city that's no longer habitable now that the original royal family is #no longer in power #it used to be lit with the light magic of the ruler that was amplified by the crown #but now it's almost impossible to navigate and so big that your torch is liable to burn out before you can explore much at all #and without a light source it's completely pitch black darkness #<- see stuff like this is so fun to think about and I can just slap it onto my world because it's cool
