One of the stylists was closing the back of Minnie's stage outfit while the young girl was eyeing herself up and down in the mirror in front of her.
"Take your hair, or the zipper is gonna get it," she told the performer, who listened and put all of her hair to one side.
"Did my body change?" she thought out loud, running both of her hands down her waist and hips, "I feel like it did."
"You're only imagining things, don't worry. Your body still looks fine," the older female tried to assure her.
After taking a deep breath, Minnie sighed, "Fine isn't good," and turned around, making the camera get a better view of her, "Fine is never good."
--- Hit The Road Intro
EP. 14 Family Isn't Blood And Home Isn't A Place ---
NEW YORK 2020.01.09 AM 06:30
The door to one of the hotel rooms opened, showing Minnie just coming out, who jumped slightly seeing the camera right in front of her: "Oh, hi," she waved "I was just gonna look for you," she smiled, "Let's go. Hoshi's still sleeping," shushed the cameramen and closed the door silently behind her, trying not to wake up her member. As the two started walking down the hallway, the girl explained what they were doing: "I couldn't sleep, so I texted the cameraman that I would go outside and watch the sunrise and asked him if I could take the camera with me, but he insisted on tagging along. So here we are." With a bright smile, she walked into the elevator that had arrived.
"You know, you can still change your mind, you don't have to come along, it's very early," she told the cameraman, who just shook his head and told her that it's okay.
"I try to get the most out of the cities that we perform in," Minnie revealed in her interview, sitting on the sofa, "I don't mind waking up early because I usually can't sleep anyway. I don't know why," she laughed nervously.
"New York is known for its architectural style and skyline, right?" she asked herself as they were walking down the street, trying to find the river they had passed on the way to the hotel. "So, I think watching the sunrise with all of the buildings will be really cool. I even brought my own camera," she showed the camera Mingyu had gifted her not too long ago.
After only a few minutes, they found a good spot with big and steady stones, close to the bridge. The sun was slowly showing itself, rising higher every second and laying a bright orange blanket of light on top of the flowing water. Minnie got her camera out quickly and squatted down as she looked through the lens, trying to get some good pictures.
"Taking pictures is so important, to be able to reminisce memories like this in the future," she said, looking through the pictures she had just taken. After deciding that she was happy with what she got, she sat back down to enjoy the view.
"My mum used to sometimes wake me up on Sundays, very early in the morning, to drive down to the beach and watch the sunrise," she remembered, "There were a few times where we even drove to London, just to see it there by the river, like we're doing now... I guess that's why they're so important to me." After a few more minutes of comfortable silence, she spoke again, "I'm really excited to watch it once we go to London. Maybe one of the members will come along."
LOS ANGELES 2020.01.19 PM 02:00
Minnie was on her phone, texting some of her friends in the group chat, who had been asking about the tour. As soon as she noticed the camera filming her, she put the phone down,
"I've been feeling pretty well," she nodded, "I don't want to jinx it, but so far... everything's been good. I had a sore throat a few days ago, but I think it got better."
"Even if something wasn't right, she wouldn't say it," Seungcheol told the producers in the interview room, "Minnie is someone who keeps a lot of things to herself, but we've become very attentive, I think." He breathed in deeply, "I don't want to sound bad... but I do think that I keep an extra eye out for her," he admitted, "But a lot of the members do this. It's not something I or we do intentionally... I guess it just happens since she doesn't like talking about what is bothering her or if she's hurting. She always tends to ask the other members if they're okay and she tries to make them smile to forget about her own worries..."
LOS ANGELES 2020.01.19 PM 04:00
The camera filmed Minnie limping slightly to a chair in the backstage area. She sat down with a frown and hold onto her ankle, "I jinxed it," she smiled with a hurt look on her face, "I'm not wearing ideal shoes for practice," the camera showed her plateau shoes that were definitely too high for a casual practice, "and when I went down the stairs on the stage, I missed a step. Argh, crap...," she winced.
At the same moment, Jun walked past her, "Hey, are you okay? I saw you on the stairs," he crouched down next to her.
"Oh yeah yeah," she quickly responded with a thankful smile, "I just tripped slightly, it's fine." Her fellow performance unit member looked at her with a questioning look, not believing her entirely, but he also knew, she wasn't going to tell him what was actually wrong, so he left with a pat on her shoulder. He was later seen talking to Hoshi, "Check up on Minnie later, I think she hurt her foot pretty badly. It looked painful when she tripped." To which the younger man nodded worryingly.
"I don't like being a burden," Minnie admitted to the camera, "Each one of the members has their own problems, so why should I bother them with mine? You know?"
Tumblr media
"Why do you think that would be a burden?" One of the producers asked her.
The girl looked at her with her lips pressed together, not sure if what she wants to say would be right, so she chose not to, "I don't know...," she shrugged.
ODE TO YOU IN SAN JOSE 2020.01.21 PM 06:00
Minnie sighed as she leaned back, sitting on one of the couches in their dressing room. She took a few breaths before she spoke, "I didn't really listen to the pain two days ago and just took some medication to help with it. But it got worse, so now those pills don't really work anymore." She tried to smile. Minghao and Dino suddenly appeared, the Chinese member sat down next to her while the youngest took the couch to their left.
"You know, you can sit this one out," her fellow '97 Liner told her honestly.
"No, it's fine, I'm just trying to rest it now," she looked at her foot that was placed on the coffee table in front of her, an ice pack on her ankle, "And I'll take the medicine I took yesterday again."
"Even the doctor told you to not dance today," Dino tried to tell her with a soft voice, not wanting to make her angry.
"But I still know myself the best and know what I'm capable of doing," she said back, in a soft tone.
"But I know you too and I'm not letting you out there with a swollen ankle," Hoshi showed up behind her, placing his hands on her shoulders, "I already told S.Coups, you're sitting this one out, sorry."
"No," she quickly turned around, "Don't do this, please, it's fine," she gave him her puppy eyes that worked 9 out of 10 times, "I can rest between the US and Europe tour dates."
"Why do you always have to look at me like that," Hoshi whined. He thought about her words for a second, knowing her feelings all too well and didn't want to be too harsh on her, "Alright, but no performance unit songs. I'm not letting you ruin your feet."
The girl sighed and turned back around, "Fine."
"Don't sigh, I can make you miss out on the entire concert," he teased her by messing up her hair slightly.
"Thank youuu," she quickly said with a fake wide smile, making the members in the room laugh.
"Minnie is very hardworking, in every aspect," the tiger described the girl, "She's the one who would leave the practice room the latest and show up the earliest." He then smiled proudly and tugged at his shirt, "But sometimes you have to kick some sense into her, and that's where her older brothers come in."
"I honestly couldn't tell you the amount of times I've told her that her recording was good, but she insisted on doing it over and over again to make it better," it was Woozi's turn to talk about the female.
Tumblr media
"She needs to hear that it's perfect or she needs to be convinced of it herself. That... that is good in some aspects,... but I think it's really eating her up a lot of the time."
A few clips of her in the studio with the producer were shown.
ODE TO YOU IN MAKUHARI 2019.11.07 MAKUHARI MESSE
Minnie and Wonwoo could be seen playing a game together on one of their phones, focusing on it while holding up a conversation, "He's gonna be fine, right?" She asked.
"Of course," he assured her, "He might be the youngest, but he's one of the toughest." His comment made her chuckle, "That’s true."
"How are you holding up?" Wonwoo wondered after the game was over and they sat down next to each other, her head leaning on his shoulder, "I'm doing pretty well, I'm worried about some of the others-" before she could finish, he interrupted her, "Don't worry about them, they'll be fine. Look after yourself first. And tell us if something's not right," and made sure to mention her habit of keeping everything to herself.
"Alright alright," she smiled.
"Promise?" He held up his pinky, making her raise her head and look at him with an amused look on her face, "Wow, you're really serious."
"Of course, I am," he simply stated before looking at his stretched out finger in front of her, motioning for her to seal the promise. Minnie intertwined their pinkies with a smile and an eye roll, "Promise."
ODE TO YOU IN MANILA 2020.02.08 PM 04:00 MALL OF ASIA ARENA
While clips of the members walking up the stage and performing were shown, Minnie's voice was played over them, "I don't think I'll ever get used to this. It still kinda feels like a dream, to be honest," she chuckled. "Touring the world with 13 guys, seeing thousands of fans, hearing them sing your songs in a language they don't even speak... that just doesn't true, does it?" Suddenly she could feel her eyes water at the thought of her next sentence, "But I'm so incredibly thankful for it. I don't know whether this is a dream or not though."
"It's not," one of the producers assured her, making the girl chuckle, "That's exactly something someone in a dream would say." She looked down to the floor, "I'm very very thankful. To the Carats who have been there since the beginning, to the ones who have joined us over the years, the ones who were there and left, and obviously the ones who are still here with us on this journey," she looked back up again, "But the members...", the camera caught her eyes getting tearier, "They are just...", she sighed, "I don't think I will ever be able to explain how much they mean to me, in words." Clips of her interacting with the members on stage could be seen before it switched back to her in the interview room, now clearly very close to tears.
Tumblr media
"It sounds cheesy... I know that. But I really wouldn't be sitting here if it wasn't for them." She thought for another second and continued then, "Especially S.Coups. He literally is the reason that I'm part of this... this family now. And they feel like family. We're not friends, not really. We're more than that. They can be friends if you need them to, but I feel as close to them as I would feel to a family."
After a deep breath and multiple blinks, she continued, "I only had my aunt and my cousin here in Korea before I met the members... they showed me that... that my family or who I consider family isn't necessarily the people that were there since birth. It's more like the people that you feel... whole with. Does that make sense?" She chuckled nervously, "I just feel... yeah... I feel completed when I'm with them... and empty without them. Even if just one of them is missing. We're so different but we make such a perfect combination when we're together. They've never let me feel like I'm different in a bad way, like something... like something doesn't fit. This probably doesn't make any sense, I'm sorry." Minnie smiled.
"I just hope that Carats can see this. The bond that we have. Because it's a very special bond that no one could break. S.Coups... is like our foundation. He has a lot on his shoulders and I really hope we can help with that because he's the person we rely on, but he shouldn't have to be the one with the biggest burden. He is a very big and important part of why we have this incredible dynamic now. Of course, all of the members took part in it, but I'd be lying if I said that he isn't the biggest reason for it."
One tear left her eye, "Yeah... I'm really thankful."
BACKSTAGE AFTER THE CONCERT
"Now, members! Members! You worked so hard during this world tour, and with this last one, a notice is going out at 1 o'clock."
Minnie dreaded to hear those words leave their manager's mouth.
A few days ago, their management decided and told them that the Europe tour would get cancelled due to the growing pandemic that was taking over the world.
The mood in the room switched immediately, and while some members were shouting encouraging words into the room, a lot of pairs of eyes fell on the girl, who was sitting on one of the sofas with her feet up on the cushion and half her face covered by her knees. The camera didn't stop filming her, waiting for some words, but her eyes were focused on the white wall across from her. She suddenly felt a presence to her right and a hand on her hair. He didn't say anything, knowing that asking if she was okay, would probably make her cry, so Joshua just said there and patted her head. Minnie turned her head, giving him a forced smile. Seeing the tears that were forming in her eyes, almost made the '95 Liner cry. He felt bad, even if he shouldn't. The foreigners of the group got to perform in their hometowns or at least close to them and Minnie would have gotten to as well if it wasn't for this stupid happening.
Another presence approached her, this time it was Mingyu crouching down in front of her, grasping her feet and slightly squeezing them in a comforting manner.
"Did you already tell your mum?" he wondered. Minnie nodded and answered in an almost whisper, "Yeah, I texted her yesterday, but she already thought this would happen."
"That day was... heavy," she tried using nice fitting words in her interview, "It was not a good day... but it happened." She could feel the tears she had wiped away from before, come back.
"2019 wasn't my best year, so I was really dreading to go back home... to see my mum at least. So this hit me pretty harshly." The camera filmed her for some quiet minutes before she breathed in shakingly and continued, "But... again, the members made sure to not let me feel that. They took really good care of me, even though they didn't have to," she smiled with tears at the memory, "After we got back to Korea, they made me a full British Breakfast because they thought that's what everyone eats there. And they ordered some French food from... god knows where." More tears left her eyes, making it harder to speak, "They really showed me that just because I couldn't see my mum didn't mean that I wasn't home, but that... that my mum was just one of my homes and another one was... them. They make me feel like I'm home."
Some pre-debut clips of her were shown next to her dancing on stage.
"We are 14 people with completely different backstories, different personalities, and some of us even come from different countries. Yet somehow, destiny has brought us together, and I'll never be able to explain just how thankful I am for that. In those years that I've spent with the guys, I learned so much about life, love, family, and friendship. Iwant Carats to know that. And they always push me to do better and they help me with everything - I wouldn’t have been able to go through a lot if it wasn’t for them.
Tumblr media
What we have is incredibly special, I hope they can see this through our stages, music, and whatever we put out. I'm extremely sorry to the Carats who we couldn't meet in this tour, but we promise to work hard to be able to see you one day. Seventeen and Carats are best friends and will forever be that. Thank you for everything you've made possible for us. I love you."
[If your heart beats the right way, you know you have found your forever home.]
[And I will be there for you until the very end.]

WayV Reactions: you get mad at them over something trivial
Tumblr media
Pairing(s): WayV x mostly gn!reader (I think Kun's is the only one with a written female reader. The others should be gender neutral).
Genre: angst, fluff (happy ending)
Warnings: couples arguments, yelling, angry reader
Word Count: 3k
Author's Note: Thank you so much for the request!!! I had so much fun writing this, although I will admit I had to look up "trivial things to fight about" so nothing would be repeated lol! I have no idea why most of these take place in the kitchen lol, it just seems like a place of arguments. I hope this is what you wanted!! I hope you enjoy!! 💕💕

"How about Dandelion?" Kun asked from his spot on the couch, absentmindedly flicking through the large book of names clasped in his fingers.
An audible gasp left your lips. You turned, wide eyes to stare at him, completely flabbergasted.
"You want to name our daughter WHAT?" you snapped.
Dandelion? Of all the names in the big book, he had to choose the name of a damned weed!
Kun shut the book and turned to stare at you with an eyebrow raised, not expecting your tone to be as harsh as it was.
With you expecting a baby girl in a few months, you and your husband had set to attempting to pick out a name, which proved to be a little more difficult than you had anticipated. You just couldn't seem to agree on a name, which, until now, had been fine. You were both generally easy going people who hardly ever fought, so as your face flushed with anger, Kun was at a loss.
"I just thought it'd be cute," Kun defended, voice gentle.
You could tell he was trying not to anger you further, but you balled your hands into angry fists.
"Well why don't we just call her a useless weed and be done with it! See how that affects her mental health!" you yelled.
You didn't know why you were so angry, or why you were taking that anger out on your sweet husband who had done nothing but take care of you throughout your pregnancy.
You blamed your hormones.
"Babe, please calm down."
Kun's voice was gentle and soft as he reached out for you, and although you were still seething with anger, the second his arms wrapped around your middle, you could feel it dissipating, leaving you to apologize.
"Kun, I'm sorry for-"
"Shh, there's no need my love," he whispered.
How did you ever get so lucky.

Ten hardly ever got a day off. With WayV and the occasional comeback with NCTU, plus all the variety shows and vlives the boys did, you hardly got to spend time with him, but you knew what you'd gotten yourself into when you'd started dating. You knew nights together were going to be few and far between, so when he'd asked you over to the dorm one afternoon, you'd jumped at the chance, eager to see your boyfriend after so long. However, if you'd known what it would be like, you would have stayed home.
Ten's phone chimed again, not long after he'd placed it down in favor of wrapping his arm around you while the movie played on the tv. His phone had been going off every few minutes, and despite your sliding closer or attempting to distract him, he couldn't seem to stop from responding, spurring on the messages further.
You didn't question whether he was texting some tramp. You knew he'd never do that to you, plus, he was constantly showing you some funny photo or meme that Johnny had sent, making you chuckle, although you couldn't help but to resent Ten's tall friend for distracting your boyfriend.
Finally, as he removed his arm to grab his phone and text Johnny back, you snapped.
"Can you put the damn phone away! If I would have known you'd do nothing but text, I wouldn't have come!"
Ten paused mid text before dropping his phone on the couch.
"He's my best friend, (y/n)! I'm not just going to ghost him!"
You huffed.
"I'm not asking you to ghost him! I'm asking you to spend time with me without the phone!" you hissed.
Ten sighed and picked his phone back up. With a grumble, you got off the couch, preparing to go home, not wanting to watch a movie with your boyfriend if your boyfriend didn't want to be there with you. However, as you moved to grab your coat, he tackled you onto the couch, caging you in his arms.
"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I promise, for the rest of the day, it's just you and me. No more texting."
You looked at him skeptically, but as he held off his phone, switched off, you sighed and wrapped your arms around him.
"I missed you," you mumbled.
"I missed you too," he replied, kissing the top of your head.

You had never been the kind of person to rely on anyone. You liked doing things on your own, relying on no one, and thus, many of your friends labeled you "stuck in your ways" because, despite having a boyfriend who'd bend over backwards for you, you couldn't bare to let him do anything for you.
This had spurred on quite a few minor arguments, especially when said boyfriend was the worlds sweetest guy who just wanted you to rely on him for more than a warm chest to snuggle against.
"Why won't you let me help you?" he'd asked several times.
Your answer was always the same.
"Because I can do it on my own."
You never meant to make him feel dejected, but as you opened the kitchen cabinet to grab out your favorite coffee mug, you found that maybe, your boyfriend had a little more of a mean streak than you gave him credit for, and this morning, without your daily caffeine, it really pissed you off.
"Dong Sicheng!" you yelled, anger filling your veins.
Apparently, at some time during the night, your boyfriend had snuck out of bed and rearranged your cabinets, moving everything up one shelf higher, so now, instead of the highest self being the only vacant place, now the bottom shelf was vacant. You were decently tall, but you couldn't reach the highest shelf. You doubted anyone who wasn't 6 foot tall could reach, and of course, on the highest shelf, was all of your coffee mugs.
"Yes?" Sicheng asked from behind you.
You spun around in a whirl, his shirt, that fit you more like a dress, flowing out at the sudden movement.
"What the fuck did you do! Everything was perfect! I could reach everything! Why the hell did you move it!" you snapped.
You glared at him as he tried to hide a small smirk, leaning closer to the counter as he reached up, grabbing your favorite coffee mug, and placing it on the counter for you.
This only pissed you off more.
"What the fuck Sicheng!"
"You never let me do anything for you! The power goes out, you fix the fuse box. Your car breaks down, you take it to the shop. You want coffee, you grab the mug out of the cabinet. You don't let me do anything for you!"
You could see his point, you honestly could, and maybe that's why your fury died down a little.
"Sicheng, I'm independent. I don't need you to do anything for me. I can do it on my own."
"That's what you always say! But I'm your boyfriend! I want to do stuff for you!"
With a sigh, you shook your head. Maybe he was right. Relationships were about give and take, push and pull. He let you help him with things and you hadn't returned the favor. Maybe it was time to bend.
"Fine. Keep the mugs up there, but damnit Sicheng, when I call for you to get me a mug, you better come running."
With a smile, he leaned close to press a kiss to your lips.
"Promise. "

Having a live in boyfriend was fun, nothing you'd ever experienced before. Suddenly, you had someone to share your bed with, someone to cook for, someone to open pickle jars when you couldn't.
However, it also meant extra time cleaning. Especially when your boyfriend apparently didn't know the use of a welcome mat. Plus, he wasn't the cleanest person in the world, and that fact became evident as you walked into the kitchen to grab a drink and found two bottle caps and a candy wrapper sitting on the counter, forgotten.
"Seriously Yukhei," you muttered under your breath.
You threw the trash in the bin and opened the refrigerator, hoping for a nice glass of milk before bed. Your eyes landed on the milk carton. Happily, you lifted the carton out of the fridge only to realize that it was empty. You certainly hadn't been the one to place an empty milk carton back in the fride.
"Yuhkei!" You yelled to your boyfriend who was already cuddled up in bed.
You waited for him to make his way into the kitchen, but the longer you waited, the angrier you got.
When he did finally walk inside, he was met with your fixed glare.
"What'd I do?"
"First, you leave your trash on the counter, then you put an empty carton back in the fridge! Do you NOT know where the damn trash can is?!"
Yukhei raised his hands in defense.
"I forgot!" he whined.
You groaned. You'd definitely heard that one before.
"You always forget Yukhei! How hard is it to put your trash where it belongs!" you whine, glare still fixed on him.
"And... just so we're clear... an empty milk carton doesn't go back in the fridge?" he asked.
You threw the milk carton at his head, although you weren't planning on hitting him. As he ducked, the carton hit the floor. He was trying to be funny, and you hated to admit that it was working as a smile cracked across your lips.
"There it is! There's that beautiful smile I love!" he cooed, moving closer and wrapping his arms around your waist.
"Shut up Yukhei!" you grumbled, pushing against his chest lightly.
He wasn't having it. He pulled you closer and pressed a soft kiss to your lips.
"I promise I'll start putting my trash in the bin," he whispered.
You knew it was an empty promise. Tomorrow morning, you'd wake up to more bottle caps and candy wrappers on the counters. Yukhei could be infuriating. But you loved him despite his lack of cleanliness.

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BE-*
That was the sound you'd been hearing every ten minutes for the past hour as your husbands hand slammed into the alarm clock for the sixth time. You grumbled and rolled over, once again awoken by his horrible habits.
This wasn't unusual. Dejun tended to set 15 alarms before he'd finally get out of bed and start his day, which, by that point, was usually when your own alarm clock would start going off and you'd wake up groggy and cranky, having just lost an hour and a half of peaceful sleep because your husband coudn't seem to get his ass out of bed in the morning.
"Why do you need so many fucking alarms! It's fucking stupid! Just set it for the time you actually need to be up!" you growled, not opening your eyes as you buried your face in the pillow, hoping to get back to sleep.
"I can't wake up that fast," came his mumbled response.
You huffed. It was always the same answer, but it never made much sense to you. Why couldn't he just get out of bed like a normal fucking person.
Alas, you didn't respond as sleep once again tugged at your consciousness, lulling you back to sleep beneath the warm blankets before-
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
"GET THE FUCK UP!!"
"Five more minutes," he grumbled.
Five more minutes and you'd have to hear the infuriating sound of that damned alarm clock?! Fuck that.
You had had enough. Your sleep was important to you and being woken up two thousand times with a damn alarm clock before your husband finally dragged his tired ass out of bed was not helping your sleep in any way.
In a fit of anger and irritation, you pressed a sock covered foot against the middle of Dejun's back and pushed, affectively kicking his body out of bed, his body hitting the cold ground with a thump before he knew what happened.
"Hey! What was that for!" he snapped.
"Your up now," you grumbled, rolling back over and pulling the blankets over your head.
You could hear him grumbling something along the lines of "why do I love your psychotic ass" before the shower turned on.

You let out a groan as the title of another horror movie appeared on the television screen as you cuddled next to your boyfriend. You hated horror movies, a fact he knew well. The ones that didn't make you have nightmares were generally so silly and irritating you'd spend the entire moving staring at the time. Your boyfriend, on the other hand, absolutely loved horror films, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise when you sat down for your weekly movie night at his place and found a horror movie coming on, which wouldn't have been an issue if you hadn't watched horror movies the last five weeks in a row.
"Can't we watch something else," you complained.
"It's just one move (y/n), you'll be ok."
You groaned. He never listened, too enthralled in his own excitement for the movie.
You didn't have a problem with the fact that he liked this genre, but he could just as easily watch it with Ten or YangYang, or, if he really wanted to torture his leader, Kun. You, on the other hand, somehow always seemed to get stuck watching them.
"We've watched these five weeks in a row," you whined.
"Shh."
That was the last straw. He wasn't even willing to listen to you!
With a huff, you got off the couch and grabbed the remote from the coffee table, switching off the movie and turning to glare at him.
"You know I don't like horror! Yet for the past several weeks we've done nothing but watch it! When are we going to watch something I want to watch?!" you snapped, hands balling into fists.
You could tell Kunhang was taken aback back your outburst as he floundered to find a response. You expected him to bite back, adding fuel to your fire by saying something along the lines of 'I work so much! Why can't we watch what I want!' But to your great surprise, his face just dropped.
"I like the way you hold onto me," he said softly.
You squinted.
"Huh?"
He sighed and sat up straighter, putting the bowl of popcorn on the table.
"You always cling to me when a part scares you. Sometimes you even jump into my lap and I like that. I like protecting you..."
As his voice trailed off, you sighed, anger evaporating. You sat down on the couch next to him and took his hand.
"I don't mind that sometimes, but not all the time," you said. "Besides, wouldn't you rather make out while watching a romance movie?" you smirked.
He paused at the suggestion, seeming to weigh his options in his mind before flicking the television back on and searching up the sappiest romance movie he could find.
With a grin, you sat back on the couch and discreetly coated your lips in cherry chapstick while he found a movie.

Your feet and back ached as you walked through the door to your apartment after an exceptionally long shift at the diner you worked at part time. All you wanted to do was crawl into bed with your loving boyfriend and go to sleep in his arms. However, as you laid eyes on Jeno and Jaemin sitting beside YangYang with some game loudly playing from the tv, you couldn't help but groan.
"I'm home," you called tiredly, biting back the urge to grumble about games as you made your way into the kitchen to grab a glass of water and maybe a sugary snack.
As soon as you flicked on the light, you couldn't fight the irritation as your eyes met three empty pizza boxes stacked carelessly on the stove and a mountain of plates, cups, and bowls you'd begged YangYang to take care of that morning.
"YangYang!" you snapped, teeth gritting as you found the trashcan, also filled to the brim, waiting to be taken out.
You heard mumbling from the living room followed by an absence of firing guns, meaning they'd paused the game. YangYang walked into the kitchen, eyebrows raised as if he had no idea why you'd called for him.
"What the fuck Yang! I ask you to do the dishes, they're not done! Taking the trash out is your job anyway and it's piled sky high! And those fucking pizza boxes don't belong on the damn stove! What did you do today?! Sit on your ass while I was slaving away!" you yelled.
In hindsight, you probably shouldn't have picked a fight with YangYang's buddies in the next room, but your tired brain could take no more.
"I had to practice and they just got here an hour ago! Don't go snapping at me when you just as easily could do the dishes now!" he snapped back.
"Why should I have to! I've been working all day! You could have done the dishes before they got here! Hell, I wish you would have!"
"Excuse me for not being a clean freak!"
You blew out a huff of air and squeezed your eyes shut.
"Whatever, just go play your damn game."
You turned away from him and moved to the sink, starting the water and pouring in a good squirt of dish soap before grabbing a sponge and getting ready to wash the dishes before a pair of arms wrapped around your waist, a face nuzzling into your neck.
"I'm sorry I didn't do the dishes baby," YangYang whispered softly.
You didn't respond as he pulled the sponge out of your hand.
"Go to bed. I'll do the dishes and then come join you," he whispered.
It was a fast change of heart, but one you were thankful for. You pressed a kiss to his cheek before making your way toward your shared room, not missing the way Jeno and Jaemin bolted from the apartment before YangYang roped them into helping.

Eden's Gate: Kidnapped Chapter 16 - The News, The Crash
It's the penultimate before the series finale.
word count: 3k+
Warnings: Swearing, some light smut, some angst, some fluff, mild violence, kidnapping, a huge fucking reveal/plot twist. Paige (Dean) and Kate (Sam) have a Supernatural moment.
Paige heard everything Kate had said to John, she knows how much Kate loves him, and she never understood why she loved him so much after everything he has done not only to her but to the locals.
She thinks Kate is better off dating Wheaty, or some of the younger non psychopathic, non Seed guys/girls that live in Hope County. She continues to hear their conversation from outside the kitchen.
“So you really do care about me?” he asks.
She nods her head, “Yes”.
“But I can’t be with you” she adds.
He looks at her like she just said no to his marriage proposal.
She has tears rolling down her cheeks, her hot tears rolling down her cold cheeks.
“I understand” he responds,
She wasn’t expecting that to be his response.
“On that February day, 2 years ago, you were walking your dog Haley. You walked past Falls End church, and I fell in love with you immediately, and I still remember what you were wearing. You were wearing a black, and green flannel shirt, gray jeans, black boots, your hair was down. Haley’s leash and collar were purple”
Kate’s eyes widened, she can’t believe John remembered what she wore that day, and let alone the color of Haley’s leash and collar.
“You drove past the church in your black 70 Monte Carlo, I yelled out “Nice car”, and you said thank you, followed by a honk of your horn, I sent you flowers, and gifts because I wanted to somehow win you over because that’s how much I wanted you, and I still do. I saved your from that asshole who tried to rape you, and that drunk asshole from the Spread Eagle”.
Kate remembers all those days, she feels like a complete cunt for doing this to John. Yeah he fucking tortured people for their sins but that’s no excuse for her to be with him.
Yeah, he treated her well, he took care of her, he spoiled the hell out of her, he was there when she needed him, and she was there when he needed her. They both took care of each other, he loved her, he was crazy about her.
But he still forced people to join the cult, to confess, atone, and baptism. She hid a lot of her secrets about herself from him, because she didn’t want to scare him off.
When Merihem attacked her friends on their camping trip, she knew it was a demon when her friend Alissa said “A man with blackened eyes”.
Her friend Dylan said the exact same thing. She accidentally let out that information about her in front of John. She knew she had to tell him about her past, whether or not he believed her.
Paige walks away from the kitchen, and goes upstairs to her room. Kenny walks in holding Cristina, asking her “Hey, you okay?”
She nods her head, “Yeah, I was just-just over hearing Kate and John’s conversion in the kitchen”.
He sits next to her, “And?”.
“He’s in love with her. Still. He remembered what she wore the day he first saw her, the color of her dog's collar, and leash. Everything he did for her, how he protected her from some rapist, and a drunk fuck”.
She sighs into her hands.
“So what are we gonna do about John?” he asks.
“We’ll keep him here, until I figure out a plan” she responds.
“Which is?” he asks, uncertain
“I don’t know. I know his henchmen are gonna come, and find him. I know that already”
They stay silent for a few minutes.
“Unless, tomorrow is Saturday, and Joseph has sermons on Sundays. Because if John doesn’t show up. Joseph is gonna be concerned why John isn’t there. And we just kill them all” she says.
“That’s a good plan, but I think we should really think it through” he tells her.
“Yeah, you're right” she responds.
A few hours later, it's after 9PM, and John is still tied to a chair in the kitchen.
Paige walks in, and sees him.
“Ooh, I forgot you were still here” she says to him. As she goes into the fridge
He mimics her as a response.
Shortly after Mandy walks in.
“Hey” she says, with something clearly bothering her.
She’s holding a white envelope.
“Is Kate around?” she asks.
“She went outside” John mumbles, through his gag.
“Thank you” she responds.
“Well I want everyone to be here, when I say this” she says.
“What’s wrong?” Paige asks.
“I want everyone here” she says again.
“Kenny!!!!, Kate!!!!!, Guys!!!! Come to the kitchen!!!!” Paige yells out.
“What!?!?!” Martin yells from behind her, making her jump.
“You dick” she laughs.
Everyone comes downstairs, and Kate comes back inside.
“What’s going on?” she asks.
“Mom, has something to say to us” she says.
“Well actually Paige this is about you” she says
Paige looks at her confused.
Mandy holds out the white envelope to her, and says.
“I’m sure Jacob mentioned to you that he was in the Army” she says.
“Yeah, he was in dad’s unit in Iraq, they knew each other. He went on to insulting him, and calling him a coward and shit” she says.
Mandy looks down at the floor, “Open it” she says softly, slightly pointing to the envelope.
Paige opens the envelope, pulling out black and white photos.
The first face she sees is her dad Joel, next to him is a few guys, and a young Jacob Seed.
“Is that dad, and Jacob?” she asks.
She flips the photo over, and reads “Iraq 11/1990” on the back.
Kate, Kenny, and all the guys stand behind her trying to get a glimpse at the photos.
The next photo she pulls out is one of Joel, and Jacob from what it looks like outside of a barracks in the desert.
She flips the photo over, and “Iraq 10/1990” is written on the back.
The next photo is of Joel, Jacob and she can’t really tell what the name says but she’s sure it says Miller walking down a desert road in their full Army desert gear with assault rifles.
The back of the photo says “Iraq 01/1991”.
Everyone is looking over her shoulders, trying to get a glimpse of the photos.
Hell John is trying to seek a peek while tied to the chair.
“I mean yeah, dad and Jacob worked together in the Gulf War but that doesn’t really change everything” she says, tossing the photos on the kitchen table.
Allowing John to have a look at them.
Mandy grabs the envelope and pulls out a piece of paper.
“Your dad also wrote a letter to Jacob, after he was discharged from the Army, both of them were at the same military hospital in Georgia. Your dad was able to leave before Jacob. Your dad moved in with me and my family, we got married in summer of 1992, we bought our first house a few months later. We even invited Jacob to the wedding but I guess he wasn’t able to make it. When I was pregnant with you Paige, your father wrote another letter to Jacob in September of 1994. This one is a copy but he should’ve gotten the original one”
She hands her the letter, she unfolds it, and reads it.
To Jacob Seed
I'm not sure if you'll get this letter, I was told you were still at the military hospital where we were staying when we were discharged.
I hope you're doing well, I know you're not the same man from before we went to Iraq.
Neither am I. I still get night terrors, I have PTSD and insomnia, I hope you get reunited with your brothers, I remember you used to talk about them a lot, Joseph and John right?. Well the reason why I'm writing to you is I really hope you're doing well, I hope you get reunited with your brothers and I also want to say that Mandy is pregnant, we're having a girl and I wanted to ask if you want to be her Godfather? Because you were always like a brother to me, we've both been through Hell and back, we've had our share with our personal demons, and all the shit we went through in that desert Hell. I hope to hear from you. Best regards
Sincerely Joel Winchester written 9/17/1994
Paige slowly folds the paper back into a square, tears falling from her face.
Just by the tears falling from her eyes, John wants to know what was said about his older brother from that letter.
Paige tries to even out her breathing, Kenny is holding her from behind, trying to relax her.
“Jacob-Jacob was-was supposed to be my-my Godfather??” she asks, tears making her choke on her words.
Mandy nods with tears running down her face.
John is looking back and forth at Mandy and Paige. “Wait. wait!!” he mumbles.
Kate takes the gag out of his mouth.
“Hold on, my brother was supposed to be her Godfather?!?!?!!?” he asks, pointing his towards Paige.
“Yes” Mandy answers softly.
Paige hasn’t said anything, too in shock to comprehend the man who tortured her for months, insulted her father, who he worked with during the war, and supposed to be her Godfather!!.
Her whole world was turned upside down by a piece of paper her dad wrote before she was even born.
“Paige you okay?” Kate asks.
“Honey you alright?” Kenny asks.
Paige’s mind goes blank, everything is happening too fast. Then it hit.
She had the sudden urge to vomit, she runs to the bathroom, and retched into the toilet.
“I don’t know if she told you already but she’s pregnant” Mandy says to Kenny.
“What?!?!” he says, in shock. He goes to the bathroom, and knocks on the door.
“Paige? Honey you okay?” he asks through the door.
“Yeah” she wheezes out, before vomiting again.
“Your mom just told me you’re pregnant, is that true?”
“Yes” she says, before vomiting again.
Tears run down his cheek, he leans against the wall next to the bathroom door.
After a couple minutes, the toilet flushes, and the door opens.
Paige steps out looking a little pale, and red at the same time.
“You okay?” he asks again.
She nods her head, “Yeah”.
She wraps her arms around him, hugging him tightly.
He kisses the top of her head.
Kate unties John from the chair, Paige and Kenny walk into the kitchen as she does this.
“What are you doing?” she asks Kate.
“We’re not really gonna leave him like this all night are we?” she asks.
“I wasn’t planning on it but I was okay with it” she says, sarcastically.
“Love you too Paige” John says, in a sassy tone.
“Yeah, don’t say those words to me” she says, hands on her hips.
“He can sleep in my room” Kate says, somewhat hesitantly.
Paige gives her a stern look “Umm no he isn’t”.
“Umm yes he is” she sasses back.
“Fine,” she says, putting her hands up in defeat.
“I’m too pregnant to be arguing with you about this” she says before she leaves the kitchen to go upstairs.
Kate rolls her eyes in annoyance, and says to John.
“She said the same thing when she was pregnant with Cristina”.
30 minutes later, everyone is getting ready to go to bed.
John, who doesn’t have any extra clothes, sleeps in his boxers.
Kate has her back to the man she onced loved, and is gonna share her bed with him one last time.
She feels his weight on the bed next to her, his hand runs up her back.
Sending shivers down her spine.
“You okay darling?” he asks. Laying on his side with one of his hands on her lower back.
She nods her head “Yeah I’m fine”.
She looks back at him with a smile.
Those piercing blue eyes of his, she knows she's gonna miss them.
She goes under the covers, and turns off the lights.
He does the same thing, he looks over at her.
“Kate?” he whispers.
“Yeah?” she replies.
“What happened to us?” he asks.
“Too much stuff to list” she answers.
“Yeah” he whispers.
She lays on her to face him, his eyes once again piercing into her soul.
“Have I ever told you, you have very beautiful eyes?” she asks, running her fingers through his beard.
He smiles at her “No, you haven’t”.
She smiles back at him ”Well you do”
He pulls her closer to him, where their noses touch.
He leans in and softly kisses her lips. She hasn’t felt his lips in almost 2 years.
When she left Hope County, and moved back to Jackson, Wyoming.
One thing lead to another, and the next thing she knew they were having sex, for the 1st time in 2 years.
He felt amazing, his cock buried deep inside her, rubbing against the walls of her tight pussy.
Making her hold back her moans, and whimpers. He hasn't changed his game at all. He thrusts in and out of her, her hands roaming his back as fucks her. She missed his dick inside of her, how he held her as he penetrates her.
She knows this is wrong but it feels so right, she actually hates herself right now.
The next thing she knew it was morning, and she feels guilty about having sex with John.
She’s supposed to hate him, and yet she slept with him. She protected him, and still is!.
She sits up in her bed slowly trying not to wake him up.
She sits there for a few minutes, she gets a message from Wheaty saying.
“Hey K, check out this song” followed by a link to a video of the song.
She zones out, realizing her feelings for Wheaty.
After what just happened the night before, Kate finally realizes who she wants to be with.
Part of her still loves John but she knows she can't be with him, at all.
She gets out of bed, gets dressed, putting on black jeans, boots and a flannel shirt.
She looks over at John who is dead asleep in her bed, looking at him one last time because she knows she's gonna have to let him go.
It's for her own good, she's taking Paige's advice and is moving on from him. She quickly goes downstairs nearly colliding with her mom.
"Kate, where are you going?" Paige calls out.
"I'll be back!!!" she responds, running to her car.
She starts it up, and drives off the property, leaving behind a cloud of dirt.
“What is she up to?” Mandy asks.
“I don’t know, but I’m gonna have to find out” Paige responds.
Kate drives down the road leaving Holland Valley into the Whitetail Mountains.
She gets to the area of the Wolf’s Den, climbing up the hill.
She sees the bunker door open as usual, and she walks down the dark steps.
“Wheaty?!” she calls out.
Wheaty, who is putting away records, hears her voice, he looks back at Eli and Tammy, and goes to where her voice is.
Eli, and Tammy hear her, and they follow behind him.
“Is that Kate?” Eli asks.
She makes it to the bottom of the steps, and the second she sees Wheaty, she crashes her lips against his. Wrapping her arms around him.
This actually startled Wheaty, he had no idea she was gonna come by, but he’s glad she did. He’s had a crush on her the moment he met her, when she first moved to Hope County a few years ago before she met John Seed.
He wraps his arms around her, pulling her closer to him. Kate knows she has to let John go, her family, and his family are enemies and she doesn’t want the whole Romeo and Juliet vibe. Let alone Paige wants to kill him for marking her with her sins, and just straight up annoying her.
Part of her still loves John, but all he’ll ever be to her is an ex lover, maybe not much of a friend
She pulls away from their kiss, resting her head against his chest, neck area.
“I know we’ve kissed before, but I’ve been waiting for our moment like this” he says, taken back by what just happened. Holding her tightly.
“Yeah, me too” she says, holding him.
Tammy and Eli see them kissing, and they go back to whatever they were doing.
Letting the soon to be couple have their privacy
He kisses the top of her head, they stay like this for a few more minutes, and they hear footsteps coming down the bunker stairs.
And they see Paige, and she sees Wheaty and her sister hugging.
Kate looks back at her, “Hey Paige” Wheaty says, smiling at her not letting go of Kate.
She smiles at them saying, “You’re finally over John”.
She nods at her older sister, “Yeah I finally got over him”.
A proud smile on her face
“I heard what you said to John last night, about when you 2 first met” she says, crossing her arms.
“You heard that?” she asks, still holding Wheaty.
“Yeah, I heard everything, and to be honest I’m glad it was now instead of never, and I know how much he took care of you, but he’s not a good person. No matter how good he treated you” Paige says.
Kate nods her head, “Yeah me too. I know he wasn’t a good person, I just don’t know why it took me this long to realize it”
“Its fine, I’ll admit as much as I fucking hate to admit. John, he is a very handsome man, who probably has a golden dick, and he has a good job other than cutting off people’s skin, he’s a lawyer” she says, before saying “Or at least he thinks he is”.
The 3 of them laugh.
“Where is John?” Kate asks.
“At the house with everyone else” she replies.
“Hey Paige, I’m sorry for not listen-”
She cuts her off, by saying “No chick flick moments”
Kate scoffs, “Alright, jerk”
“Bitch” Paige responds.
Wheaty looks at the both of them confused.
Paige gets a phone call from her mom, and she answers it.
“Hey mom, whats-” she gets cut off by her mom yelling in panic.
“Paige!!!, Paige!!! I need you and Kate to come home now!!” she yells in panic.
“Wait, wait mom, what's going on over there?!!”
Kate and Wheaty look at her in concern.
Paige puts her phone on speaker.
“It's the peggies!!!!, they're here!!!!. John called for them!!!”
Tammy, and Eli hear the commotion.
“That son of bitch” Paige mumbles in anger.
“It's the peggies, they took Adrian, Martin and Cody” she exclaims.
“What??” Paige exclaims.
“Mom where are you?!?” Kate asks, in panic
“I locked myself in one the upstairs bathroom with Cristina” she tries her best to stay calm.
“Where’s Kenny, Nate and Mark!?!?!??” Paige asks.
“They locked themselves in one of the other rooms” she says.
“Shit, sit tight we’ll be there soon” Paige says hanging up.
“Hurry!!!!!” she exclaims.
“What is happening!?!” Eli asks, concerned in his voice.
“That lawyer fucker John called his merrymen of peggie douchebags, and they took 3 of my friends, and now they’re going after the others including my infant daughter!!!”
Paige and Kate run outside the bunker to the Impala, leaving Kate’s car behind.
“Paige, Kate!!!. Are you gonna need backup?!???!!” Eli yells out.
“If I don’t call back in 1 hour, get everyone, and go to St. Francis or Joseph’s compound. Wherever they could’ve taken them” Paige yells out back to Eli.
They speed down the road, not slowing down for anything. Driving 75 in 40 zone.
“Those motherfuckers, I’m gonna kill that little shit John” Paige yells out.
“No!” Kate says, loud and sternly.
Paige looks at her with anger. “Are you fucking seriousl? You’re still protecting that little shit?”
“No, if anyone is gonna kill John it's gonna be me” she says looking over at Paige.
“I let him loose, it's my fault. I’ll take full responsibility for that, and I’ll kill him”
As they’re driving through an intersection they get hit from the driver side by a truck.
Sending the Impala tumbling through a field. Both sisters unconscious.
They get dragged out of the vehicle by some peggies, putting them in the back of a truck, and driving off.
Paige, and Kate wake up several hours later, and the whole setting is too familiar to Paige, she starts to panic when she sees that she’s back in a cage at the Veteran’s Centre.
She looks behind her, and Kate is struggling to wake up, disoriented and in pain.
All 4 Seed siblings appear in front of them.
Both of them, in shock, and in disbelief.
Smug smiles on John and Jacob’s face that Paige would love to pimp slap off their faces.
“No, no” she says, shaking her head.
She sees Joseph looking down while holding a purple, white plaid blanket, and she sees that he’s holding her daughter.
“No, no, no!!!!!!” she screams in panic.

Here’s a little something! Lemme know if you’d like to see more!
Tumblr media
Fandom: Newsies
Characters: Racetrack Higgins, Crutchie Morris, Jack Kelly, Katherine Plumber, Albert DaSilva (mentioned)
Words: 3K+
Summary: Jack had called him in hysterics. Four days ago. Crutchie could hardly make out the words. Tyler. Hospital. Please come back. (Bad Things Happens Bingo: Eating Disorder).
TW: EATING DISORDER
Here we go! Another story for my @badthingshappenbingo card!
This ones a bit shorter than the others.
I have written another story previously about an eating disorder and I did get a review telling me that I didn't know what I was writing about. So I'll be honest, I was a little nervous to write this one. I do have to ask that no one assumes anything on any of my works. I love you all dearly, but here's the truth: None of you guys know what I've been through really. I wrote that last fic after I visited my baby cousin in the hospital for having an eating disorder. So please don't tell me what I know or don't know.
Also, these kinds of things are tricky. Every case is different. So please, if you don't like the way I write these things, don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. Realize that our experiences are very different and maybe I haven't been where you're at.
Sorry for the rant.
Anyways...
Enjoy!
It was raining. Every drop hit that glass window like it was so desperate to break right through it.
Jack wished it would stop. It made everything feel that much drearier. It made the world feel a little darker, as if the universe knew what was happening. As if it had known that something that seemed so wrong was still happening in the world. Jack was no stranger to the cruelties of the world.
But this was something he hadn't even seen coming. This was something he hadn't prepared for. Something that truly terrified him.
The boy in his arms stirred just a bit when the door creaked open. Jack's heart stuttered. "Shshshshshshshhhhhhh…" he soothed, running a gloved hand over those blond curls. And those big blue eyes barely made an effort to peak up at him before they were hiding again. All Jack could do was sigh in relief and hold the child just a bit tighter just as someone slowly made their way into the room, right towards them. "Si' down, Crutch… I j'st got him ta sleep…" Jack murmured, knowing the younger man didn't have a clue what to do.
Doing as he was told, Crutchie didn't dare take his eyes off of the weakened boy in his bed. He readjusted the gloves on his hands and the mask on his face. Jack wore them just the same. But that didn't stop the child on his chest from cuddling into him like there was no danger in that. "Are you sure ya should be—?"
"It's been four days," Jack breathed, looking up at him. It was only then that Charlie saw the tears in his eyes. "Four days n' he hasn't even taken a ten minute nap. He asked me ta hold him, so I did n' he fell asleep n' now I can't… I just… I ain't gonna wake him now…" He couldn't do it. He couldn't bear to watch it again. To know that the child he held so dearly just couldn't sleep on his own. "I'm sorry…" he breathed in deeply, trying to keep in the tears and calm himself down. "I just didn't know what else ta do…"
The words broke Crutchie's heart. He nodded. "It's okay, Jack… as long as he's gettin' some sleep…" he whispered.
Jack nodded too, clearly a bit on edge. He looked down yet again to the child dozing on top of him. And his heart tightened when he remembered he wasn't allowed to kiss his forehead. "I-I'm glad you're here…" he admitted, still not looking up.
What he failed to notice was that Crutchie wasn't looking up either. The younger man's green eyes were solely set on the boy. He couldn't help but take the child in. Every inch of him.
He was so thin. He could practically see the bones beneath that pale skin.
"Sorry it took so long… I forgot my ID… they wouldn't let me in without knowin' I was older 'n eighteen…" he muttered, leaning forward to get a better look at the frail child. He could see it even in the boy's face. He was practically a stick. It was terrifying. "S-so… wh-what happened?" he asked, still unsure as to how they'd ended up here. How this had all happened.
Jack leaned down to tuck blond curls beneath his chin. He sighed. "We were comin' home… from his school. Kath was with us…"
"I think you chose the movie last weekend, Love," Katherine stated, walking a bit ahead of the two boys behind her.
Jack shook his head. "Are you sure, babe?"
Laughing with a quick nod back in his direction. "We watched 'Jurassic World'. And the weekend before that we watched 'Split' for Race. It's my turn and I chose 'Ever After' and you both have to sit with me the whole time!" she demanded, knowing they'd get bored.
Then she bounded on ahead of them, key in hand.
It was just like any other day.
It was normal.
Except for one thing.
Race lagging behind. He wasn't mouthing off. He wasn't arguing. In fact, he was leaning heavily on the railing of the stairs they were walking up. And he looked horrible.
Jack just assumed he was sick. Like he had for the past couple weeks. Maybe he just wasn't getting enough sleep.
"Hey, baby… ya doin' okay?" he asked, falling back a couple steps to be at his little brother's side. "Ya tired?"
The boy looked over at him and paused on the stairs, offering him a weak smile. "I'm fine, Jackie…" he insisted, taking a deep breath and making a move to continue up the stairs.
A skeptical look came over Jack's face. The boy had gotten into the habit of wearing large, baggy sweats wherever he went, no matter the weather. "Maybe you're hot. It might help ta take the sweatshirt off," he suggested, walking with the fifteen year old as his girl unlocked their apartment door.
"It's fine, bubba… really," the kid insisted again. "I just… I need ta rest for a second…'' The words were weak. And Jack's heart dropped when the boy's eyes rolled back into his head and his knees buckled.
Jack barely caught the child as he began to fall backwards. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Racer?!" he cried, lowering himself onto the steps and holding the boy in his lap. "Tyler?!"
The boy was completely passed out for a long moment as Jack panicked, unsure of what to do as the kid's sweatshirt slid up on his torso.
That's when Jack saw it. He could see the boy's rib cage. "Shit…" he muttered, looking back up to his brother's face. "Tyler! Tyler, wake up!"
Those blue eyes fluttered. But they did not open. "Jackie…?" It was hardly a breath. Jack almost missed it.
"Baby?!"
"I… I think I need a h'spital…" the child admitted drearily.
Without even thinking, Jack just nodded vigorously. "Okay… okay, stay awake, TJ! We're… we're gonna get you help…" he promised, looking up the flight of stairs. "Katherine! Katherine, call an ambulance!" he cried, lifting the boy up.
The young woman rushed back out of the apartment, confused until she saw what was happening. And she grabbed her phone. "Oh my God! Tyler?!"
Jack scooped the boy up the best he could. "Kath, which way's the closest hospital?!"
"Jack, I'm calling. An ambulance is coming!"
Jack whimpered but didn't argue as he cradled the boy to him and bounced him up in his arms. "Stay awake, kiddo… we're getting you help… you're gonna be okay…" For the first time, he realized how light the kid was. How dangerously light the kid was. "Oh bubba, what happened?"
Race did not respond to him. And it just scared Jack even more.
"They're coming, Jack!" Katherine promised. "Tyler, they're coming! What happened?"
Jack didn't answer. He couldn't.
He couldn't answer.
A tear trailed down Jack's cheek and he shook his head. "We got him here n'... the doctor said he had a resting heart rate of forty two beats per minute… they weighed him. He's eighty nine pounds. His immune system is weak. He was dyin' n' I didn't even notice…" he stated, feeling his throat tighten as he thought about it all again.
"Jack…" Crutchie breathed, shaking his head.
"He didn't even seem scared… he just… sat there like he knew this was comin'..." Jack recalled. He wished he could scream.
"So… what? He just wasn't eatin'?"
Jack let out a bitter, humorless laugh. "I don't know! He won't talk about it. He seems ta think that if he pretends everythin's normal, somehow it will be." He steadied his breaths as best he could. He'd been holding it together for days. He was confused and tired and hungry and scared and he just didn't know what to do. "The doctors think he just wasn't eatin' f'r as long as he could n' then when he did, he'd try to burn it all off."
Crutchie only nodded. "Okay… okay, Jack… it's okay… he's here… he's alive…"
"It's not okay, Charlie!" Jack cried. "I almost lost custody of him six years ago because the judge thought I wouldn't be able to take care of him n' now—" He couldn't help it anymore. There were full fledged tears rushing down his face, dripping onto the mask he wore over his mouth.
His younger brother was heartbroken. The younger man carefully placed a hand on his shoulder. "Jack. No one is gonna take him away. They can't just do that—"
"I'm scared." It was rare for Jack to admit things like that. It was even rarer for him to admit that to one of his brothers.
Charlie nodded. "And it's okay to be scared, big brother. It's okay."
"But—" A hand tightening in the front of the scrubs that Jack wore made him pause. Jack looked down, almost horrified.
Big blue eyes looked up at him, still exhausted, but very much awake.
Everything froze for a moment. No one spoke and no one moved. Tears still fell down Jack's face. He felt like he couldn't breathe. His baby brother perched his chin on the young man's chest as he looked up at him and Jack couldn't hope but shake his head. He couldn't help but want to cry even harder.
"Racer, Jack's gonna go get some coffee, okay?" Charlie stated, confusing Jack for only a moment before he could understand.
The look that sparked in Race's eyes nearly broke both of his brothers completely. "Um… okay…" he managed to get out, no matter how shakily it might've been. It was clear the boy was holding back sobs of his own.
But Jack managed to slowly maneuver the teenager onto the mattress and slip out from beneath him. Then he stood and reached to brush the boy's curls back, his hand trembling as he did so. Race did nothing to stop him from leaving. So Jack let the back of his fingers smoothly trail down his baby brother's cheek before he turned and fled the room.
He barely made it before he had to rip the mask off of his face and crumble to the ground in the hallway just outside.
How did he miss this?
When the door shut, Race felt himself swallow hard. His fist curled into the soft blanket that lay beneath him. He blinked the tears out of his eyes and lazily looked up at the young man still sitting beside him. He tried to smile. But it faltered so easily. And the tears came. He didn't get out a word. He couldn't do it.
All he could do was cry.
"Hey… hey, Tyler… hey…" Charlie tried, scooting himself forward.
Race shook his head. "I didn' mean it! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to!" the child whimpered, trying to hide in his pillows and beneath his blankets. "I don' wan' 'em ta take me away…"
Charlie pulled the blanket from him and scooted even closer to his bedside, his heart unable to handle the small confession. "Tyler James, look at me…" he asked. "Please…" It took a long moment. But the boy's eyes eventually trailed up to his own. "Hey… there you are…" he breathed, earning a sad smile from the boy. "I missed you…"
"I missed you, too…" came the watery reply. He reached out for Charlie's hand. Charlie took it. But he could practically feel the boy's disappointment when he felt the glove rather than his skin. "I'm sorry ya had ta fly out here," the boy whispered.
The young man squinted at him. "Tyler… I'll always come for you… always. I don't care how I gotta get here. You're more important than anythin' else I have, okay?"
Jack had called him in hysterics. Four days ago. Crutchie had hardly been able to make out the words. Tyler. Hospital. Please come back.
He'd been in the middle of a class. His phone had gone off in his pocket so many times. He'd finally excused himself and then he'd gotten that call. The one that made him rush out of class in the middle of a lecture. He had professors emailing him. Telling him he couldn't just leave like this.
He hadn't messaged them back yet.
They weren't as important as his baby brother.
The boy looked up at him with those eyes. Those big, puppy dog eyes that always managed to manipulate him. He sighed as Race played with the hand Crutchie had given him. "I didn't mean ta scare Jack…" he insisted, his voice strained. "I… didn't mean ta do this…"
Nodding, Charlie smiled. "You know Jack, kid. You're his little boy." It was true. This kid was why Jack got up in the morning for so long. Tyler was practically Jack's own. Jack had raised them both. But Crutchie had always tended to learn on his own.
Race had clung to Jack since the day he was born.
"Do… d'ya think he's mad at me?"
The question shocked Charlie. He didn't understand it. He didn't understand this boy. "What? Of course not! He's scared for you!" he said. He knew he shouldn't have. It wasn't something the kid would want to hear. But it was the truth. "Racer… I'm scared for you, too," he admitted. That's when Race wouldn't look him in the eyes.
Sometimes, it was easy to forget that this boy was fifteen. Sometimes, all Crutchie could see was that little boy who'd been such a light for him and Jack amidst all the darkness in their lives. Right now was one of those moments. Despite everything that had happened over the course of this poor child's life, he still looked so helplessly innocent.
And he stole his brother's heart all over again.
"I… I thought I could control it…" the child whispered, swallowing hard and focusing down on their hands. The boy traces the lines of Charlie's palm, even over the latex gloves he wore. "I thought… I thought it would be okay… at least at the beginning…" he admitted, only peaking up at his brother every now and again. "I didn't mean f'r it ta get this bad… I didn't think it would…" That's when the tears started coming again. That's when he just couldn't hold them back anymore. "I don't like not bein' able ta touch no one… n' I don't like that I can't see my friends…"
Crutchie shushed him and wiped away at his baby brother's cheeks. "I know, kid… I know…"
"Al tried ta come yesterday… but they wouldn't let him in… they didn't even care if I wan'ed ta see him, they just told him he couldn't come in…" he explained. "I didn't mean ta do this! I was gonna get better, I just—"
"It's okay, kid… ya ain't gonna be stuck here forever," Charlie promised, brushing the curls out of Race's eyes. "Ya wanna… ya wanna tell me how this started?" he asked, skeptical he'd actually get any information. "Ya don't have to. Ya know… If ya don't wanna…"
The boy sniffled and rolled onto his back. Crutchie bit his lip as he saw the whole of him. The kid looked so breakable. So small and thin and so very fragile. Charlie was afraid to touch him. He was so scared he might snap.
"It… I j'st… I wasn't eatin' enough…" the child began, reaching out to grab at his big brother's hand once again. Crutchie nodded, silently begging him to continue. "I… I don't know… I j'st… I ate the same way we did at the last house we was in…" If there was something that could truly worry the young man right then, that was it.
"Tyler, Snyder hardly fed us," he stated, as if it should've been obvious.
But it hit him all a bit too quickly.
Race had never been in a home where they'd truly fed them properly. Not until Jack. Crutchie had no doubts in his mind that Jack had the supplies for three meals a day and then some for this boy.
The kid didn't look up at him at that. "I just figured if I could do it then, I could do it now n' it'd be fine. N' it was… but I… I started runnin' more f'r cross country a couple months ago n'—"
"Hold on, months?!" The boy flinched. But Charlie hadn't expected it. He hadn't expected the boy to have been starving himself for that long. For some reason he's expected it to be a short time.
And then he truly thought about it.
Jack's internship had started about six months ago. He wasn't home with Race as often as he had been for so long.
"Charlie, it was an accident! I just couldn't stop! It just… I didn't know how ta stop once I started…"
The words brought tears to the young man's eyes. "Kid… why didn't you ask for help?" he asked. Had he really failed the boy that much that his baby brother thought he couldn't come to him for anything? He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He wasn't angry at the child. He wasn't even disappointed with him. He was just… scared. Scared that maybe he'd done something wrong. Maybe if he'd been there, things would've been different.
"I don't wanna talk about this anymore." The boy tried to clear his throat. Charlie knew he was holding back sobs.
He knew the kid wanted Jack. But Jack needed a break. Or a breakdown, Charlie commented to himself, wishing he could just be in two places at once. "Okay… okay, we don't gotta talk about that. We can talk about somethin' else. Unless you wanna sleep?" he suggested, his voice filled with hope.
But Race bit his lip and shook his head. "I… I just wanna go home…"
Crutchie tried to smile. "I know, kid…" he sighed, massaging the boy's hand. "I know…"
A comfortable but sad silence fell over them. Crutchie tried to help the boy relax just a bit. He heard the boy's breaths get deeper. He watched the boy's eyes closed. But he knew the boy wasn't asleep. The kid wouldn't fall asleep if he thought Jack was upset with him.
Charlie could only do so much.
He sighed and watched the boy rest his eyes as his mind wandered. He let himself think back to the day he'd held this boy for the first time. He'd only been six. Jack had been ten.
It was the most terrifying thing he'd ever done in his life.
The kid had been screaming. He was scared and confused and so curious. And he'd stolen their hearts from the second they'd met him.
Race sighed, feeling out of breath for a moment and he let his eyes slowly drift open again. Charlie was focused down on his hand. The child couldn't help but let his gaze drift to the door. He just wanted to go home.
He let his eyes fall shut again as he focused on breathing. He was hooked up to too many machines. The feeding tube was the one that he hated the most. He squirmed a bit when his mind was drawn back to it. He didn't like it. Or the IV in his arm. He couldn't relax knowing they were there.
It was why he'd needed Jack to hold him. Jack had always had this gift. A gift that allowed him to distract Race so easily.
Race wished he could do the same for his brother.
He wished he could do the same for both of his brothers.
For a long while he lay there, trying not to think. But he knew the discomfort would win out eventually.
Just as he was about to talk to Charlie again, the door reopened. And a nurse walked in.
Jack was trailing behind her. He was wearing a fresh pair of gloves and a new mask. And he was breathing steadily. Race's eyes lit up when he saw him. But he didn't say anything. He was too nervous.
"How are you feeling, Tyler?" The boy sat himself up and shrugged.
Jack slowly walked over to him, gently bringing a hand down to rub his back. "You um… ya wanna try… ya wanna try eating, baby?"
Race looked up at his brothers. He just wanted things to be normal.
But he truly didn't know if he could do it.
So he shrugged once again, on the verge of tears.
And Crutchie grasped his hand again. "Hey… you're doin' okay, kiddo… everything's gonna be okay…"
Jack looked down between his little brothers and managed an encouraging nod. He sat on the edge of Race's bed. "Baby… you're gonna get better. Don't matta' how long it takes… we're gonna be right here with ya… if you ain't ready t'day… it's okay. We can just try again tomorrow…" Jack promised.
The youngest of them turned to Jack and threw his arms around his big brother, wondering how on earth he'd been given the gift of getting to be raised by this man. Jack just wrapped him up all the same, reaching down for Charlie's hand. The other man laughed as he was pulled up and over to shield this little boy from the rest of the world. "We gotcha, Racer… we always gotcha…"
The boy could do nothing but believe them as he was swallowed up by the two embraces that had kept him alive for fifteen years. "Okay…" he breathed, his voice wobbly and terrified. "Okay…"
Jack ran a gloved hand over the boy's hair. "I love you so much, kid… ya know that?" All Race could do was nod. "Good… we're gonna get through this together. Yeah?"
Charlie let out a breath and held tighter to the boy.
They could do this.
Everything would be okay.
"We gotcha… we gotcha…"
If anyone's asking, Crutchie goes to school in California. That's why he was away.
Alright!

Carry You Home Pt.1 | JJK [M]
Tumblr media
↬ Pairing: Jungkook x OC [Dami]
↬ Summary: When Jungkook took a job in Syria to be a diplomat’s detail, he didn't expect to be assigned to her daughter, and he didn't expect to get along with her daughter so well. During an outing, Dami is taken and Jungkook doesn't know why or by who. Jungkook knows time is of the essence so he enlists the help of some friends with the right type of skills and does anything and everything he can to bring her home because it's no longer about his job...it's personal.
↬ Word Count: 3k
↬ Warning/Rating: None/M
↬ Genre: Action/Angst
↬ Part: 1 | 2
Jungkook flashed his badge to the guards at the gate while sitting in the black SUV he had been assigned while working at the Korean embassy. He didn't get it because it stuck out like a sore thumb and was too flashy to blend in, plus being in a place with mountains of sand made it impossible to keep clean. Not that it mattered, it wasn't his vehicle.
"You're clear." the guard in military fatigues handed him back his badge and waved him through the gate. The nice regal looking house stood before him as he pulled the car up to the front so the passenger side faced the door.
Jungkook stepped out slipping his shades on. He had truly come to hate sand. It got everywhere and when it would get windy or when sandstorms would hit, it was impossible to get clean. Being military detail for the Korean ambassador in Syria hadn't been his first choice, but with his mom, in need of money for her treatments there wasn't much option. Syria offered the most money for the least amount of time. No one stayed long and the risk factor was pretty high with things only getting worse as time went on. But he needed the money and luckily the family he was assigned to wasn't awful.
He walked inside the house and took his sunglasses off and slid them on the neck of his shirt. He nodded at the security detail that was on their way back outside, completely drenched in sweat. He definitely didn't envy them. He walked towards his first stop, which happened to be something he always looked forward to. He knocked on the door frame and peered in.
"Jungkook! I didn't know you were working today." he waved him inside with a warm smile.
Jungkook felt himself smile back, "Morning Mr. Yeo, I was requested by your wife. Apparently, Dami wants to go into town today and she asked if I would take her instead of the detail on duty."
He nodded, "Yes, Yeo-ah has been more worried lately. Of course, she can't tell us why, but she has tried limiting the time we're away from the house. Which of course Dami is giving her hell about."
"I would expect nothing less," Jungkook smirked.
"Yeah, I guess you wouldn't." He laughed.
"I'm going to head upstairs and save your wife the torment. When I get back, I'd like to talk to you about the book you lent me." Jungkook stated and Mr. Yeo beamed.
"Yes, of course!" Jungkook nodded and left the office. There were positives to the Yeo family, one being that Yeo Dongsoo happened to be a university professor of history and ethics. He worked remotely and mostly did online classes so he could be with his wife Minseo. Then there was their daughter Dami. Both of them had a rough start and constantly butted heads but within a few months, they started to consider each other as friends. So, it made working long hours a little more tolerable.
He made his way up the stairs and heard the godawful bubblegum k-pop music Dami listened to. He poked his head in and saw her drawing in the sketch pad he had bought her for her birthday last month. He walked in and turned the stereo off.
"Hey!" he watched her head pop up and minor annoyance graced her features.
"I'm doing you a favor in saving your ears from that god-awful racket." he walked over to her desk and sat down in the chair facing her, "I really need to get you into real music. American classic rock will speak to your soul Dami, I promise you."
"No thanks, I'll stick to my shitty pop music."
"Well in the car, I'm manning the radio. Last time will be the one and only time you touch the stereo in my car ever again."
Her face lit up, "Mom's letting me leave?"
"Looks that way, so get your shit and let's go." She scrambled from the bed and started searching for her shoes, "Where are you wanting to go?"
She smiled at Jungkook, "Jason wanted to meet for lunch in town."
He tried to hide his grimace. Jason was an American politician’s son and Dami and him had met at one of those fancy dinners for diplomacy and all of that. Jungkook couldn't stand Jason, everything about the guy just rubbed him the wrong way. He had tried to talk to Dami about it but it had ended in a fight and since then he kept his mouth shut and just made sure to keep an eye on him. Along with a threat that he would break every bone in Jason's body if he tried to pull anything with Dami. Jason had made the comment that Jungkook was in love with Dami, which was absurd. They were friends and enough of an age gap, that while legal, is only borderline socially acceptable. He also works for her parents and the Korean Government so with that whole list and the fact that they were just friends made his claim baseless. "Ready?" he asked as soon as she had her shoes on.
"Yup!" She smiled and followed him out the door and climbed into the passenger seat of the car. Jungkook pulled out of the gated estate and pulled out onto a paved road and headed into town.
He popped her hand when she tried to reach for the stereo, "Hey I wasn't joking. You lost DJ privileges." She stuck her tongue out at him and he rolled his eyes, "real mature Dami."
It didn't take very long to get into the busy part of town where Dami had chosen to meet up with Jason. Jungkook knew she tried to butter him up by choosing to eat with Jason at his favorite lunch spot. He found a parking space a little further down from the actual restaurant and parked the car. Both of them got out and started the small walk.
"Hey," Dami said softly looking over at him, "I wanted to thank you for taking me. I know Jason isn't your favorite person."
"My opinion doesn't matter. If he makes you happy then I can tolerate him." He gave her a smirk and she rolled her eyes but a smile followed.
Once her eyes fell on Jason, she hurried forward to greet him with a hug. Jason swooped down and gave Dami a passionate kiss before tilting his head back up, "Jungkook." he nodded towards his direction. It put him on high alert because of how territorial Jason was with Dami. He eyed him but nodded back.
"Dami I'm just going to sit over there," He pointed to a few tables down. He would be far enough away to give them privacy but close enough to keep a watchful eye on surroundings. The small restaurant had a patio in the front with tables and umbrellas that gave a brief relief from the beaming sun. He pulled out his phone and decided now would be a good time to write back to some emails from his mother and brother. He never spent too long with his eyes on his screen and always made sure to take a detailed sweep of the surroundings before going back to his phone. It was something had become second nature to him after being in the Special Forces. He made sure he was always aware of his surroundings. Once he was done he slid the phone back into his pocket and watched the two of them.
Jungkook never understood the appeal of Jason. He had to hear about how perfect he was and it irked him because no guy was perfect and they all wanted one thing, no matter what they told you. He had spent enough years in the service to read situations and read people. It was part of his job, a job that he was very good at. He had kept a watchful eye on Jason from the beginning. There was something that never sat right with him. Jason had issues with Jungkook since meeting with him and he never understood why. It had come across as jealousy until recently. He had started to look venomous at Jungkook every time they crossed paths. Jungkook noticed Jason trying to turn conversations to political topics, something he knew Dami detested. It wasn't long before Jungkook also noticed he would talk about Mr. and Mrs. Yeo and attempt to hold conversations that, to Jungkook, seemed like he was trying to fish for any information she was willing to divulge. Which wasn't much.
He was snapped away from his thoughts when he noticed the both of them stand up and Jason throws some money on the table. Jungkook stood up as well and weaved his way through the patio over to them when he noticed they had started to walk away and continued to put more distance between him and the two of them. He tried closing the distance between them but it seemed every person on the sidewalk felt the need to bump into him making getting to her a little harder. Once close enough he put his hand on Dami's shoulder and turning her towards him, "And where do you think you're going?" she knew better than to just take off.
"Jason wanted to show me a hole in the wall shop a few streets over." Dami bit her lip knowing she probably should have told Jason to wait for Jungkook.
"Hey, I've got her. She'll be with me." Jason interrupted grabbing DAMI's hand and pulling her closer to him.
"Not a chance in hell." Jungkook shook his head.
"I'm more than capable of keeping her safe from whatever dangers you Korean’s think is out here." Jason's slightly aggressive tone had Jungkook's training heighten his senses.
"Where she goes, I go," Jungkook said flatly.
"Dude, what is your problem? It's two streets over. She'll be fine." he pushed.
Jungkook felt the anger and annoyance start to bubble up in his chest, "I said no." his voice was low and he made sure to pronounce every single syllable. There was no way in hell Jungkook would let Dami take a walk without him. He knew more about the volatile dangers within their area than Dami did, but he had to keep it that way. He hated keeping information from her, especially when it would stop her from making rash decisions. Secrets were the one thing he hated most about his job.
"Look, you know Jungkook has to come. But he can stay a little further back so we have some privacy. Jason, you knew this was a thing from the beginning." She looked between them.
Jungkook shot her a look. She knew that he wasn't happy with her suggestion but her eyes pleaded with him and he fought within himself. He knew he shouldn't but he also knew she hadn't been out much lately and he didn't want her to feel like she was being smothered. He relented but his senses went on high alert. "I'll be a few paces behind, but that's it." He stared down Jason.
Jason's face was filled with anger and annoyance, but he also seemed panicked. Jason tugged on Dami's hand motioning her to continue walking. He pulled out his phone and was typing quickly his mouth in a straight line. He gently pulled on Dami's arm forcing her to walk faster which caused Jungkook to have to walk at a quicker pace. His eyes were sweeping the surroundings because something didn't feel right and he could feel it deep in his bones. He came to a group of men arguing and tried his best to go around them but each time it was as if he was being held up and lengthening the distance between Jungkook and Dami. His eyes scanned and came to a stop on a van. It was nondescript and he had remembered seeing it parked up the street when they had sat down at the restaurant and had kept an eye on it. He remembered seeing the tape that was around one of the side mirrors and the person in the driver seat had sat in the van but never moved or made any indication he was going to. This had put Jungkook on high alert, and he started watching people as discreetly as he could and hoping he could close the gap between him and Dami.
Jungkook reached behind him where his gun had sat all morning. He carefully turned the safety off just in case things went south and he needed to reach for it quickly. He made sure that the shirt that he wore laid back over it so it was hidden from view. He noticed Jason starting to look around and up and down the street. Jungkook heard the van before he saw it and he started rushing to close the distance between them.
“DAMI!” he yelled.
She turned to look at him while the van came into view and screeched to a halt right beside her. Jungkook broke out into a run and was weaving through people. He drew his gun with it pointed to the ground and watched as if it was in slow motion as the door slid open and someone reached out grabbing her. She fought back and went on the defensive just as Jungkook had taught her. She yelled for Jungkook and he pushed himself even harder and broke through the people. He stopped raised his gun and shot the guy's wrist that had a hold on her and felt great pleasure in hearing his howls of pain. His stomach dropped when he saw Jason start to fight her, forcing her into the van. She kicked at him and continued to yell. Jungkook couldn't take another shot without risking hitting her. She kicked out and came in contact with Jason's stomach causing him to bend over. Jungkook took that moment to line up his shot.
Two men rushed him from the alley with knives in hand. By instinct, Jungkook elbowed one in the face disarming him and kicking the knife away and the other came at him forcing Jungkook to pull the trigger as the guy had been ready to throw the knife at him. The man slumped to the ground. His momentum had been slowed and he called out to DAMI. Jason looked back at Jungkook and brought his elbow to her face and her body went limp. She disappeared into the van and Jason followed. Jungkook raised his gun and aimed for the tires as the van drove away but he was never able to get a clear shot.
"Fuck!" He yelled and within seconds he was running back to the SUV that was parked around the corner. He knew he didn't have long before he would lose them. He yelled for people to get out of his way and pushed the ones that didn’t move fast enough out of his way. He rushed to the driver side and climbed into the vehicle and started the engine and throwing it into drive not even bothering to check his mirrors the shift to drive was quick and gravel shot out from under the tires as he shot down the street with his seatbelt swings beside him, completely ignored. He ran a stop sign and turned right cutting off a car and speeding through the makeshift downtown area hoping to close the distance between him and the piece of shit van.
Jungkook pulled out his phone and held down the number three and turned it on speaker and tossing it on the dashboard as he weaved in and out of traffic. Within two rings he heard a voice that made him want to yell in triumph.
"What Jeon? I'm busy trying to get laid." a familiar voice floated through the speakers.
"Yoongi I need you to track a phone for me." He rushed out and laid on the horn when someone got in his way.
"Jungkook I'm kind of in the mid-"
"Yoongi, please! Someone took Dami and I'm so far behind them I'm not sure I'll be able to find them without it." He begged because his job was to protect her and he had failed.
"Alright, hold on." He heard shuffling and a muffled voice, "Okay what's her phone number?"
"96356891224 and I need it now Yoongi."
"I know Jungkook, I'm working on it. The internet isn't exactly top-notch out here."
"Yoongi," he warned. He didn't care if Yoongi was older he didn’t have time to care about coming off as an asshole.
"Okay, it looks like she's about ten kilometers west of you."
"West?" he was confused. He couldn't remember any threats that were west of their area.
"Yeah, it looks like they might not be on a road anymore."
Jungkook cursed, "Is there any way that you could try and keep her on GPS and try to keep me on course to intercept them? I'm sure I could probably ch-"
"The signal dropped."
"What!?"
"I mean it could be a satellite thing, but it's unlikely. My guess is they ditched the sim card." He could hear the sound of Yoongi’s typing.
Jungkook punched the steering wheel and yelled, "Goddammit!" He pulled off the road and punched the wheel over and over.
"I can keep an eye on her number and let you know if it pops back up." He said sympathetically.
"I'm headed your way." He shook out his hand and turned the car around heading towards Yoongi’s house and hoping that he could help and give him something to go on. At this point, he didn't have much information and he didn't want to call the Yeo’s yet without having more information and a plan on how to get her back.
AN: Pulling this from the depths of my writing folder and figured I could go ahead and post for the first chapter since I already have a few written. like, reblog, smile, all that good stuff.
