i actually had a minecraft house for Komi once but it's lost o an old computer that doesnt work anymore 😭 it was shaped after a Black Box from Evillious (her "heart") and had a few bedrooms upstairs for herself and her kids and a HUUUGE kitchen and a fancy bathroom and a greenhours and a nise backyard an then like, a secret evil basement . i wish i had pictures of it.

dawg if these assholes played Minecraft together it would probablt be a server Komi made and she only gave Antonio moderator permissions bc she doesnt trust the other two with that . Antonio woukd make a statue of Vinnie and set it on fire to piss Vincent off. Komi spends most of the time building and decorating things and organizing bc she likes being productive (or else she'll start doing crazy shit). like these assholes she works with would probably be too busy fucking around in the game to focus on what theyre doing so Komi would make one house for them all to live in and make rooms for them all . every time the guys come back to base they'll see Komi in the middle of putting a redstone contraption together and they'll drop styff off in chests and explore the base little bc there's new stuff Komi added and then they'll leave to fuck around again . AND SOMEHOW Komi will have full neatherite armor and shit . everyone like "DUDE how did you find the time for this?" meanwhile all Vincent Richard and Antonio have been doing have probably been like . Naming chickens "Bitch" and hangint them from trees to throw eggs at them and harassing villagers or hanging around the pillager mansion like idiots . every time they die they have to ask Antonio or Komi to /tp them to someone else so they can get their shit.

and biggest Fears ... i already said in another postbut Komi is afraid of getting attached to humans but like she always does that anyway. smeting about her immortality VS their mortality and how they're destined to die and she's destined to leave .i guess she copes with this by CLINGING onto the memories she makes with the humans she meets in the Multiverse . and taking some suveniors from each world. Actually she has the original Vinnie puppet ! she kept that .

Vincent's biggest fear is people finding out who he really is .. a Manipulator Mainsplainer Mansluaghter er . he doesnt want to lose everything he doesnt want to be a 'normal person' he WANTS TO BE SOMEBODY. his biggest fear is LOSING. thats probably why he cheats at hide & seek as Monster Vinnie in the final night.

Antonio's biggest fear is ending up like his dad . as he's been raising himself and his siblings and observing his parents he's made a mental note of his dad's behaviors and how he NEVER WANTS TO END UP LIKE HIM . you can think ofhis dad like Clay Puppington maybe ? idk i just saw a moral orel clip this morning and now im thinkin about that show again . NO SORRY I FORGOT ANTONIO IS A LOT LIKE KENNY MCCORMICK , his parents just arent crackheads they're alcholics . but Yeah Antonio is TRYING to get himself together but tbh Vincent being an awful boss is ADDING to Antonio's stress and its not good for his mental health at ALL. he was probably seeing a therapist and was going to AA meetings but then ONE DAY he got into a fight with Vincent backstage and he went home and spiraled again. undoing his progress. Ywah im projecting heavy.

oh man theres that tiktok rn where a nonbinary person is expressing their annoyance with certain nonbinary community subsets and ive been trying SO HARD not to comment on it but hHHHHH.

On one hand i completely get where they are coming from and its definitely A Thing so like no shade to that persons experiences and the video itself isnt outright disrespectful at all but GOD does it rub me so wrong.

like im also not fond of the sound and feel of enby, and people can totally like or dislike it and no one should force it on anyone else for sure! But the only reason it sounds "infantile" is because of the whole "kiki vs boba" concept where certain sounds, along with conventions in the english language like short syllables and stuff being associated with endearments and softer concepts and objects- theres nothing else about it that means that. Even if you take it out of verbal and write it "NB" that removes a lot of the softness- which is why when its a problem its always phoneticized. because "NB" isnt the FEELING of the sound youre hearing.

But that thing where people dont want to be infantalized (valid) being combined with people not wanting to be associated with "weird" "cringe" or "childish" things like associating with concepts like animals or fantasy creatures or objects... ends up feeling SUPER misogynistic and ableist to me?

The people who relate to raccoons and gremlins and shit arent doing it to be quirky and childish. Theyre doing it because of a fucking destroyed relationship with being able to identify with other human beings and reclaiming and playing with that alienation and expression. Theyre doing it because anytime you get remotely into the ballpark of an aesthetic claimed by a large enough group of a certain gender, their identity is once again questioned and people start treating them as THAT and not as THEM.

And like. I get that. I'm not huge on it myself but I literally have multiple "sona" characters based on dead cats because of struggling with derealization and depersonalization and depression and my identity and shit like. i really fucking understand wanting nothing to do with being perceived as anything remotely close to your physical self and thus distancing really hard from "normal human".

And then it also kicks into the ballpark of how a lot of neurodivergent people do similar and thats constantly trashed and bullied for being weird and abnormal. And given how theres a HUGE, HUUUGE problem with how people assume everyone whose nonbinary is afab... and specifically even in that video the person was kinda coming from a "why is that SIDE of the nb demographic like this why are the ""transmasc/amab""* types alienated" like, just, makes me flinch into...

is this another young ""women""(not women) cant be interested or do literally anything without being mocked? cause it has some of that flavour! With a little bit if "these """women""" arent nonbinary they just want to be weird and not beholden to the label of women" its just! mm! dont like it. (* also with the nod that is NB and necessarily any desire to be associated with those labels)

But yea. I donnnttt like it. I get where theyre coming from and super agree that if they feel like they cant be welcomed into the community or actively alienated thats an issue for sure! But I also super dont like the feeling of the video that the problem causing that issue is that theres some sort of monolith nonbinary culture that is cringey and should be minimized or downgraded in any way. From my understanding the joy of being nonbinary is that its usually an intentional departure from being able to be defined by your expression in the world and activities and roles and that you literally can not typify what it means to be nonbinary and thus anything goes.

So to me that person just... needs to find theyre bubble and fortify their comfort and security in what their identity means to them and find people who reinforce that euphoria for them. Cause like. As a nonbinary person who barely does fuck all irl to """seem nonbinary""".... can confirm we exist. No one defines nonbinary. People who try are usually trying simply to other themselves from it, because you cant other yourself or someone else until you have a definition. And othering isnt necessarily bad, but do it with love and intention. Your other is not meant to be your enemy.

Hello! I am sorry to bother you but I am a senior getting ready for college this year. I am in the US and I wanted to major in the same thing you did, do you have any possible tips for me? I still haven't even looked for colleges that would be best for animation majors so I figured if you were up to giving out any tips/saying any basic ideas if you wanted to/if you had the time to then maybe I'll have a better idea! I apologise for if I sound weird! I'm tried to word it correctly but I can't 😿

hi!! i’m totally down to share my experiences! someone else also had some questions so i’m going to put them all together in this post haha, hopefully this helps! it’ll get pretty long so apologies ahead of time but art school is a lot to think about so i wanna be as helpful as i can around it, its a lot of time and money. I’m gonna put it all under a read more cus it is really really long!

i wanna start off with the fact that I had the privilege of attending school in a financially stable environment, my parents were/are really supportive so w merit scholarship i only came out with around 20-30k in debt and i also had housing support my entire time in school. they were ok with me focusing on academics so i didn’t hold a retail job unless i was out of school like summer/winter break. Ofc though i regularly take commissions/do merch/cons to try and pay for all bills that arent rent cus i did want to be financially independent where it was possible. I also did try and work during the semester but everytime i did my body would deff start to breakdown from the fact that i didnt wanna compromise schoolwork with jobs.. so just read ahead know this experience is from a student who was able to attend focusing only on school work for most of the time!

the biggest thing is knowing art school is not required to become a professional in either freelancing or industry! there are a huuuge amount of online tools and classes these days that provide the exact same education and for cheaper too. i think it depends on what experience you prefer/can handle/want but it’s definitely possible to make art/animation art your living without higher education. the thing that college will for sure give you though is the ability to meet deadlines, work even when you dont want to, and connections with peers+teachers. i think the connections part is invaluable because you’re basically coming out with a network of people you already know and who know you! 

also its good to know if you want to attend/can handle art school! it’s a lot of time and energy and students get burned out really fast. the best piece of advice i got before going was ‘if you draw every single day, even if its for only like 5-10 minutes or a doodle for a whole year you should be fine’ consistency is super key because you’re attending school to draw, and you’ll have to create work for stuff you aren’t excited for at some point or another. burnout is extremely real and the only reason i didn’t experience it was probably because i got super into drawing naruto fanart again inbetween sophomore and junior year! it helped give me something to draw seperated from school which is the only thing i was drawing for since i had entered rip. a heads up id also consider myself a workaholic so i fit in ok with the ‘art school’ environment but it is suuper unhealthy. if you are fantastic at managing your schedule then it’s definitely possible to take care of yourself! freshman year i got 8 hours a sleep a night and only pulled all nighters for some second semester finals at the end. sophomore year + up though i ended up prioritizing hw over sleep and like for sure, definitely shortened my life span. there’s another q down below where i’ll go more into detail but ya, be careful w ur work balance!

another tip especially for animation is knowing for a fact what type of animation you’re looking to go into, and what the school is offering. I didn’t think i’d get into art school at the time so i only applied to two places + decided if i didnt get into either id attend community to get credits out of the way while building portfolio. honestly? i did not do a lot of research LOL but like i did end up having the chance to tour and stuff! just know that each school will have a very different curriculum. The main differences are schools that prioritize 3D (cg animation, cg modeling, ect) and 2D/traditional (hand drawn, ‘oldschool’, digital or traditional based) this is a huge difference so make sure you do research for it! in most cases a 2D/traditional program will also offer 3D since it’s at the forefront of the industry animation wise rn. My school taught 2D but like hand drawn on physical paper 2D, frame by frame. while it was a good experience it’s super outdated because digital tools make it way faster + easier! i’d recommend looking for a program that is digital 2D over traditional 2D. 

if after your senior year covid is still affecting campuses in the US to keep them shut down i’d recommend attending a community college to get credits and then transferring into school. one of the negatives is paying money for gened classes when ur not there for them; if you can get them out of the way sooner and cheaper there is absolutely no negative + you could graduate earlier or use the extra time for better work or to work a job! 

these are all the general tips i think i’d give on like a broad basis of attending or not to think about? let me know if u have more q’s! someone asked q’s im answering below that go more into personal experiences + work culture so heres those:

- how many hours a week do u spend studying, in class, otherwise making art? like how much of ur life does it consume?

I was basically working on art.... 24/7! since i wasnt working a job at the same time i crammed as many credits as possible into my schedule so on avg i did 18 credit semesters (around 6 classes) art classes go for 6 hours and non art go for 3, so i’d spent around 30-35 hours in class a week! hw wise it varied on the class but combined it would be around 35-50 hours a week... im guessing? on average studio classes would have 8-10 hours of hw, maybe 5 for a light week, and gened classes 5 hours w them all combined. or this was probably how things were before junior year? junior+senior year i had thesis + everything else ontop.. i’d spend around 30-40 hours on thesis a week with other classes ontop of that bc my film was super long cus im a dummy! 

- is it hard going to art school n realising that altho u were probably quite talented… so is everyone else? Like. all of a sudden. ur not special and everyone seems as good as u, you know? More generally, how do u deal with comparison?

kinda?? i think instead of the idea of like you vs others it feels more of like a competition at first to be the best. this varies hugely on school culture though; my animation year was really friendly with each other and get along extremely well, so my answer to this is v different than some others who attended different schools. i think that the idea of ‘comparison’ only lasts a portion of the first year because at some point you realize that it’s not a who’s better as much as its a ‘these are my coworkers’ type thing? like healthy competition 100% because we’re all working to improve but i think most of us learned pretty early on that viewing each other as peers going into the same workforce helped a lot. also at some point everyone develops their own style/starts to develop their artistic preferences so there isn’t a way to compare whos 'better’ anymore? i dont think there ever is tbh because style is appealing based off of an individuals preferences. If anything realizing everyone else is also amazing makes you wanna work harder ig? or thats how i felt! it’s inspiring to be surrounded by so many people who create such amazing work. 

- is there a lot of workaholic culture? all nighter culture?

100000% there can be a workaholic and all nighter culture. i know people who avoided it and thats honestly fantastic because i fall super easily into that pit. sometimes i’ll pull all nighters on a personal project just because i really want to finish it... i am definitely considered a workaholic all the way through and its not healthy rip... i’d estimate at the worst i was pulling 2-3 all nighters a week and only 4-5 hours of sleep on the nights i didn’t? that was only for one year tho, after that i was like yeah ok this is really bad for my health in the long run LOL so i tried to cut it down to one all nighter a week and around 5-6 hours of sleep the rest of the week! by senior year my decision to cram in full semesters paid off and i was able to consistently get around 7 hours of sleep a night + no all nighters minus finals since my schedule was lighter despite thesis 😭 while there is that culture i don’t think people view it as like a badge of honor or something to be proud of anymore which is good, we mostly view it as a flaw of the art school system and something that needs to be fixed!!

- are you glad u did it? how did u know it was what u wanted?

i am glad i did it! i’m definitely in a limbo right now of if it was worth both my time, money, and my parents money rip but i think with what i got out of it i definitely wouldn’t be as far skill wise or knowledge wise when it comes to the art industry. i would say it was only worth it for be because i had so much support going in though so i was able to focus so much on improving. if i had only been able to put in part of the effort and not make full use of the resources provided i would honestly have a different answer.. 

i knew it was what i wanted when i realized i really couldn’t see myself pursuing a different profession happily! despite all the bumps and stuff im fully in love with drawing still and feel honored that it’s a field that can provide a living. my second profession choice was to go into culinary school? and third option i think going was into music cus i was also a band kid hehe.  

- how do u cope with ur hobby becoming ur job? how do u deal with art going from something u do for fun to something u do on command constantly?

i think seperating work art from personal art is important! in my case im doubling naruto into being personal work so i have something to fall back onto that isn’t work related. its been a hyperfixation for 12+ years? so drawing it at this point is just like personal art imo. some people have hobbies outside of art and only draw for their job! i think after attending classes for so long the idea of hobby turning into job feels extremely natural? also i enjoy doing it so thats a huge plus!

ok i held off on answering this until i had my computer because i fucking CARE about the iron king and wanted to be able to type something good for him because hes . SO GOOFY and good and basically in short: i love him.

honestly im too lazy to go and read all of his lore rn to summarize it so from what i know which MAY have some errors and shit yadda yadda yes i know every bit of ds2 lore because im god but also im fucking stupid:

his lore ties a LOT into the lands of alken and venn which is some ofthe most interesting lore in the whole game to me i think its SO neat. basically super quick run down is they were both the same land and eventually boiled down into two that FUCKING HATED EACH OTHERS GUTS so so so much like its insane. 

in this time the iron king was the prince of … alken i wanna say?  thats mostly a theory but i think the bell in the iron keep is alkens bell and the lost Bastille was venn. but basically he was like . FUCK venn im going to start a war now. and though he had like 0 resources he really did do that . he did that . so basically with nothing he started a huge war and out of nowhere some knight from the east was like. hello prince of alken. and the iron king swooned and was like sir alonne will you be my knight and teach all my knights and also kiss me.

after he won the war with the help of sir alonne he gained control of both lands and honestly more. the iron king ruled over a LOOOT of the history of whats now drangleic most of the areas are tied to him in some way! its really neat. for example the copse but ill get to that thats in a bit. but back on track: at this point they were kinda fucked cus 1 the iron king and his people had like no resources or money and 2 they had a HUUUGE ass land to protect so he was like. fuck. 

and then…………. out of fucking nowhere they found the scorching iron scepter which is fucking hilarious to me. it came out of nowhere. but basically it let them create a FUUUUCK ton of iron with relatively little effort. (its not exactly stated HOW the scepter let them create iron. i personally think the scepter just created head thorugh some magical means and that let them cook up some shit)

but with this the iron king wasl ike .ok . we have this giant cool tower. lets do this shit. and named himself king (heh… iron king …….)

he made FUCKING EVERYTHIGN out of iron. armor, his crown, his fucking CASTLE (the old iron keep! thats his) some guards, a giant bull head to honor his weird pyromancer friend, i think it was said he tried to build a dragon? like. fucking everything. this ended up being his hubris but thats later.

he ended up ruling for what seems to be a long ass time? he had a lot of land, resources, everything he could ever want really. he was a big fan of throwing parties and shit in his castle where a bunch of random people from other kingdoms were encouraged to trade and stuff it was a cool period! and then the undead curse started up and everything went to literal shit. 

the iron king didnt have ANY mercy for those aflicted by the curse (see gwyn) and took to using the undead in his land as basically entertainment for a while? the huntsmans copse is like that because he created huge undead hunts to endlessly torture the undead its kinda fucked. the executioners chariot was made by him to slaughter undead and shit. around this time sir alonne “left” (as it turns out you the player character kill alonne which is really fucked) this sends the king spiraling out of fucking control and he turns to his pyromancer friend i mentioned earlier to try and create not living/magical knights because no one else compared to sir alonne in his eyes. 

he already did it before with the chariot so he was like. cool. and then the fire they used to control the armor and all that went FUCKING nuts. it chared everything including the king and his soul and rended the land around his keep and turned into a demon and killed him.

he literally is killed by his own hubris. 

and then shit goes down and the iron from his castle weigh it into the earth causing it to spew lava everywhere and all this shit and then the demon like . takes over the kings soul and its just sad. its so fucking sad man!!!

anyways some fun notes include:

when you enter the iron kings memory, unlike all the others you never see the iron king once. you see sir alonne. this part makes me so fucking sad he loved sir alonne SO MUCH even after his death like . fuck dude. he keeps alonnes armor on display instead of his own throne. im so fucking sad.

he never took a bride either! with the other kings the daughters of dark all stepped in but like . *thinking*

YES YES YES its totally like. people will totally throw away things with Good Writing i n favor of stuff thats Relatable. like if you've got a character whose got a really well developed/detailed characterization like there's a whole other deal where people will pick them apart and analyze them which i could probably say a lot about and its something that definitely exists but on the other hand if you get a character thats like "heres character :) shes funny and likes to play video games" you will get a billion people who go "omg im also funny and likes to play video games" and then will proceed to focus so hard on an element thats easy to relate to and develop more out if it and just sorta drop the elements that are already well-developed AND LIKE THERES A LOT OF NUANCE WITH THIS like youve got characters that seem really shallow but have Hidden Depths or whatever, and it sorta varies just depending on how the source is written but i think its definitely like a very strong tendency to like latch onto characters you can relate to BUT ALSO. YOUVE GOT THE EXACT OPPOSITE its like with gaster undertale if theres some sort of like Unsolvable Mystery thats got absolutely nothing going on people are really gonna wanna solve it and are gonna do that either through a really deep sorta logical analysis of what canon clues are available or through total creative invention writing an entire story explaining the Mystery, both of which ive seen a ton of with gaster (the creative deal also kinda ties in to where people will relate to a shallower character and then develop them with headcanons and the such) and like. dont get me wrong i really love seeing people developing characters/etc that dont get much canon development! people can do a lot of REALLY REALLY cool stuff and its really amazing to see its just a huuuge shame when it ends up overshadowing better stuff (whether its people favoring a generally-worse piece of media to a better similar one bc the worse one is a lot easier to project onto or people ignoring good parts of an original work in favor of fanon/theories) im like completely incoherent and theres a LOOOOT of nuance to this sorta stuff that im not covering nearly as much as it deserves but i think that were at least near the same page and im already rambling enough haha (ALSO. its kind of a stupid reason but. what can i say my dreams are always stupidly insane and plot driven

its not really a vent, more of a retelling so

basically i had this dream where i was a top level spy for this agency. i got a huuuge package in the mail, and inside of it i found a paper saying the name of one of my best friends from grade 3. on the back of the page, there were a bunch of numbers.

i was confused until i completed the puzzle and realized it wasnt a phone number, but a walkie talkie code. i inputted it into my own device, and yes it was my old friend. eventually, my friend found my location and throughout the dream our gang of kid agents began to grow. we'd never leave anyone behind on our missions, and we quickly became the agencys top spies.

but we had a different goal in mind. we all go to the same school, but the enemies had placed THEIR top agent there. this agent was craaazy smart and seemed to know like... everything. all of our stakeout missions? never showed up. they always knew exactly how to evade our traps, get past our security, no matter how on guard we were. and this other agent? somewhere in our very own school.

we had another mission, a really big one. we knew we HAD to find the enemy today. but a bunch of our gang members got captured, and although they told us to focus on finding the enemy, we saved them because that's our motto. then only one of our friends was left, and we knew that the enemy was the one keeping guard.

me, being the top agent and a leader of sorts, was chosen to be the one to slide past the doorway and see who had him captured. but i failed. i went down too fast, too low, too late. all i saw was some teacher lady, so despite knowing i had blown our only chance, i told my teammates to go for the lady in the purple hoodie, the random teacher. and so they did.

i thought this was fine, since i didnt see anyone else. but my team trusted me and i had a really bad gut feeling. so as my teammates went to go ambush the teacher, i stood outside keeping guard for anyone suspicious.

then i saw my current? best friend. irl, we're in different classes and,,, she doesn't. talk to me anymore. i guess it was the same in the dream. anyway, she was walking away from the classroom where our final friend was captured, and i just... gave chase.

shes crazy fast, and she was in this dream too. she just dropped all her stuff and began sprinting out of the school. it took so long, and i had so many conflicting enotions because i KNEW her. we used to be best friends. and she was the spy? i shouted my lungs out while chasing her, asking her to stop and that she didnt have to do this.

eventually, i cornered her beside this fence. we were both out of breath from running, and she made eye contact. thats when i realized.... there was someone behind me. someone worse than finding out my former best friend is the enemy. the traitor, was just standing there and for some weird reason i couldnt bring myself to look.

you know who it was? the one person who i could possibly put above my best friends, both in the dream and irl? someone more important to me than the spy team and my online friends was standing right there. the ENEMY. the TRAITOR. was standing right there.

my spy team ran out of the school, mouths dropping open when they saw i was cornering someone. i just... dropped to my knees on the sidewalk and let my friend go.

my former bff wasnt the traitor, i thought that was bad enough. i almost wish she WAS.

so my team was watching me shout, but i couldnt hear anything. in the dream i felt so CRAZY emotional but i just??? couldnt cry?? i was so MAD at myself for not noticing or realizing sooner. i couldnt make myself tell my teammates to chase after the spy, even when i knew the worlds future was at stake.

yeah. thats how important my little sister is to me.

in retrospect, it makes sense. who watched me work away on my spy missions at home? who was always told to "stay home and finish your homework" while i "went out with friends"? who did i trust more than ANYONE? her!!! and they recruited her!! just. yeah

anyway i got so upset in the dream that i woke myself up to continue being sad just irl

maybe i should make this an actual Thing. my suffering did kind of make sense on a timeline or plot

sleepy anon speaking, yup I made it! And first of all THANK YOU?? I was literally joking about you writing something, and then you just did it?? It was absolutely perfect, the cuteness made me go all mushy and oohhh and I still can't get over it you wonderful brilliant person. (3) The Opening was so iconique with the colors omg! My Italian is sadly quite shitty and I got a lot of things wrong, I thought the voice messages at the beginning were from Martino's family and that Italian Eskild (I LOVE HIM) told Ele that a certain Niccolò would occupy her room while she's in England (I deadass died here, I was hyperventilating so hard until the subs came through and I was like...oh.) And I thought the boys really wanted to go to Argentina haha that got me a bit confused :D

I'm also not happy about the Mahdi thing but at least Elia wasn't as homophobic in s1 than the other elias-characters. And ngl, I still don't know about Edoardo, he's not THAT bad I guess but Imo he could still be a bit nicer. But Idk he also gets the benefit of doubt for now. Things I also loved about the clip were Martino answering the fucking phone and saying I don't live here and the Gio-hug in the end!

Good Times) and yeah agreed about the casting choices - i do very much see the negative points as i said before and its nothing to neglect but im excited for the next decisions theyre gonna make and hope its gonna go uphill from here heh 

i dont know about eduardo either i mean ... haaah im decidedly NO FAN of dickhelm (im sorry if that offends anyone but i wrote first william and then willhelm and thats just not his name for me anymore) but i do agree that the remake versions of him seem nicer or more human ... idk eduardo feels like he COULD become nicer but i want a better redeeming arch than just one nice comment to vilde which arguably had an ultirior motive .. so i remain testy but hopeful ig?
