I’m a Zoomer. I got sober on Zoom.

I spoke at my first meeting tonight sharing my experience. I was nerrrrvous. My sponsor prayed with me before I spoke. There were no cookies so Sophia stayed w a friend.

I spoke. I was heard. I was vulnerable. I helped ppl. I remembered how the freak I got here. I shared that I was able to pour out a cup of alcohol recently.

How empowering to share our loud. To recover out loud.

I used to wake up at 2am afraid to go back to sleep, crying out that if I could just get through the night, I wouldn’t drink again. Oh, I am thankful that God had mercy on me because I was annnoying and also definitely drinking the following day. I’d post how depressed and horrible things were, here on tumblr. I want to go back in time a hug that woman. I needed a hug and so many prayers.

Recovery is possible.

I am grateful to be sober today.
