Whether or not Wuya was molting, didn't matter. If you looked hard enough, you could find her feathers here and there. It was a fact of life when it came to living with her, loving her. Now were it anyone else who asked her such a thing, she'd not of been so forgiving. But her husband is given grace, always. Besides, she'd been losing her feathers a bit more frequently of late. Though it wasn't time for her to begin molting just yet. There were a few more months to that... stress perhaps?

Mention of the children has Wuya thinking on the matter further. Oh it could have been Jianyu, though Tamaska had his own streak of mischief now and then. And Chunhua was much too little to think of something like that. Recalling then something she'd mentioned to the boys; using feathers for protection. It's a bit more complicated than that. Wuya giggled when they'd eagerly offered their own, what little they had. But she told them that it had to be hers.

" Hmm... " fingertips tap against her chin, thoughtfully. " Are they sticking them in your clothing, dear? " reaching out with the other to inspect him, checking his pockets, then the inside of his jacket. Quiet for a moment too long, her expression softening- as she plucks one he missed from beneath his lapel. " I told the boys they were used to protect you. They'd asked me a lot of questions then. " curious now if Kalila had perhaps found any in her things as well. " They were no doubt having fun finding places to put them, and got carried away. "

The bouquet of flowers were gently placed in your face making you turn from the mirror to see Oscar standing there smiling softly in his suit. "Would you do me the honor of going on a date with me?" He asks softly giving you his bunny smile.

You blush a little and grab the bouquet, "Ozzy, of course," You smile and crane your neck as he leans down gently kissing you, and pulls back his hand cupping your cheek and he hums gently rubbing your jaw line. "I'm glad, work was......interesting and I would like some normalcy," He sighs knocking his forehead with yours.

"We can do that, whatever you need," Oscar places the flowers on the counter behind you, as he watches you do the finishing touches of your makeup. "Normal place or fancy?" You ask looking at him and he thinks for a second. "I want to spoil, so fancy?" he asks and you nod, "You can spoil me with normal, you know that right?"

"Yes, but I enjoy giving you the finer things in life," Oscar smiles giving you another kiss as you shiver. "Okay," You admit defeat knowing with him, while he was soft and caves to you, there are certain things he never budges on. "Can you wear that pretty black dress I bought you from Milan?" He asks and you nod, having only worn it once and he had it off faster than you had it on.

"Are you actually going to let me wear it?" Teasing him he blushes and clears his throat, "I promise to behave during dinner," But you just narrow your eyes and hum getting up heading to the closet. Oscar looks around and wonders how he can have this peace when it's home when literally he had blood down his hands not even an hour ago.

He pulls the chair out and helps you sit as he pushes it back in the staff watching with a bated breath and thanking whoever above Oscar was here with you and not one of his associates. It was going to be good money and an easy service as he let mistakes happen and just give his polite cat smile everyone called it.

"Was work hard?" You ask as the waiter pours some water before heading off to grab the wine that the two of you like drinking. "It's work," He shrugs, taking a deep breath it's a thought to push for more information, it's not like you don't know what he does, you just don't know the full extent. "You can talk to me about it,"

Oscar looks up from the menu and stares which makes the hair on the back of your neck stand, he wasn't watching you in love, he was watching you like a predator studying its prey. "I won't ever, talk about work with you,"

"Okay," You whisper feeling that true version of him poke up and suddenly it gone as he grabs your hand, "Love, you just don't need to know anything okay? In case something every happened, then they can't touch you, and you can keep the wealth," He hums and kisses your fingers.

"I know," You admit and Oscar smiles, "Good, now what are you feeling tonight? Pasta or steak?" Thinking you smirk, "How bout both?" Oscar raises an eyebrow and jumps, a blush forming on his cheeks as he feels your heel move up his leg, "We can do both," He jumbles out looking like he'd follow you on a leash.

Finishing School: Shoes

Talk about another topic that could be its own series.

So this isn't going to go a ton into how you search for quality shoes or anything, that is an in-depth topic in itself, and this is more about how you think about accessories.

With my International Sophisticate Look, I want to project glamour and a sense of being out of step with the world. It has to be heels. I am not saying there's no way you could pull it off with flats, but it would be difficult, and I am saying I wouldn't.

When you think about shoe shape, you need to think about your own foot, and if you want to make it look longer, or smaller. Literally every. single. shoe. I own is round toed. It evokes a vintage feel, as round toe shoes were very popular for a very long period of women's fashion, and also it makes my feet look tiny. And they are tiny! Being small is feminizing, and that's one of the things I have going for me in that department, so I choose to play it up, while I downplay what I don't have going for me. (I also have to counter it when I want to dress masculinely, which is a pain)

So I chose my navy round toe pumps, by sofft. I think you can actually still get these, I just got them from Dillard's. They're a little over 100 dollars, have a nice shank heel and are easy to walk in. I bought them with room for inserts, because if you want to walk in heels all day, that's what you do. There's not actually an "all day heel" off the shelf. I say this as a woman who routinely wears heels, all day.

Heels add to the length of your leg, which is good if you're like me and you have a long torso and short legs. Immediately makes me look leaner, and with the wide shoulder, narrow waist, and wide hip, highlights my narrow ankles for a rollercoaster effect that's fun to look at.

Now, because I want to read so much younger as The Retro Cutie, I chose a tennis shoe, specificallly a ked, which is the only tennis shoe I own, being as they were actually made and relatively popular with young women in the time I'm trying to draw from. BUT because I am not trying very hard to do a straight across, but an inspiration, I wore these glitter ones I got at goodwill.

The bobby sock (Hanes; target ahahah) cuts me off at the ankle, making me appear even shorter, which in this specific application is exactly what I want. It's starting to appear, between the two styles, how everything in the above: The curved line of the cardigan, the heels, the a line crinoline, is to make me look taller and leaner, more elegant. The below, with its cuts in the blocking, is meant to make me look shorter, rounder, CUTER.

When i'm thinking about shoes I'm thinking of the interplay between what I'm doing that day and what I want to give off. I don't like being placed into the position of needing to walk several miles but also wanting to look elegant, but when I am there, I have a simple brown leather ballet flat with a low cut in the front to elongate the leg.

Shoes are one thing I recommend you get a bit boring about. Buy well-crafted and few!

So I made this chapter based of the world from The Warrior cats book series using my own cats. Made this a little while back (probably lots of grammar mistakes) but I want to see if its something to start up again?

I woke up to a sofft, warm sunlight that trickled through the den's entrance, it felt so nice but I had to get up. As I got up I looked around. Flowerpaw and Brackenpaw were still asleep. I looked over to the entrance when I saw a black tail. We don't have anyone in our clan with a black tail. I got out of my warm nest to see that it was Nightpaw, Strange. Wow! he was just lying in the middle of the camp! His fur looked so magical in the sun almost sliver. I've seen him before at clan meetings, but I never talked to him as he is always out hunting with his mentor, Heavystrike. It does make sense.  He’s always out of clan while I'm in the nursery helping our expecting queens. But I still wished to talk to him. I silently creep up to him to say hi. 

“Hey Nightpaw,” I said sweetly.  

“Aaaah!” Nightpaw jumped so high in the air I must have really scared him, Ooops.

“What was that for? You scared the mouse-dung out of me!”

“Sorry,” I replied. 

”I just wanted to talk to you.”

” And why would you want to talk to me?”

Tabbypaw” Cause why not, you seem interesting.”

Nightpaw” Fine but I don't have anything interesting to say.”

Tabbypaw” Well, what about…hunting!”

Nightpaw” Hunting? Why hunting, don't you know how?”

Tabbypaw” No I was never taught, I help the queens in the nursery.”

Nightpaw” Oooo your Poppyface’s apprentice right?”

Tabbypaw” Yaa, she never taught me how to hunt or anything but helping the queens.”

Tabbypaw crouches down with her paws spread out in and tail silently waving.

Nightpaw” Close, tuck in your paws more and keep your tail straight on the ground but not touching.”

 Tabbypaw” Like this?”

Nightpaw” Purrrfect, and leap.”

Tabbypaw” Did you just say purrrfect?”

Nightpaw” Yeah, dough you have a problem?”

Tabbypaw” No, It's just funny.”

Nightpaw” Well, I'm glad you like them. Well come on now leap!”

Tabbypaw leaped across the floor and landed perfectly on top of the stick. 

Tabbypaw” Hey I got it! Hey look at me I did it, did you see that Nightpaw!?Nightpaw?” 

Tabbypaw turns around looking for Nightpaw.

He just left, gone. Only the morning birds are making noise. Where did he go, he’s gone, why? Why did he have to go? Well i'm kinda sad that he just left, but it doesn't matter, I feel as if  I'll see him again. Tabbypaw looks up at the morning sky. The clan will be waking up soon, I might as well have some prey.

Tabbypaw walked up to the fresh kill pile and picks out a juicy mouse then goes over to a dim stop under the pine tree to eat.
