congrats on 3000 followers 💫 you deserve it honey!🧡 Also, Chappell Roan has been stuck in my head, so I’m suggesting a lyric of hers for a prompt:
“I could be the one, or your new addiction.”
(Or any lyric from HOT TO GO!)
Thank you! I’m right there with you, Chappell Roan the incredible bitch that you are 👏🏻

“He’s had one drink and he’s acting like he had a bottle of vodka,” Robin shook her head while she watched Steve dancing with two guys in the middle of the club they’d only been at for an hour.
“He needed to let loose,” Eddie shrugged, looking down at the drink he’d barely taken a sip from.
Robin looked at him, frowned, then looked back to Steve. She desperately needed them to get their shit together, but Steve acting like this definitely wasn’t going to work. It didn’t help that Eddie had been acting moody all day, barely even wanted to come with them.
“And what about you?” She finally asked him. “Are you gonna let loose tonight or keep the stick up your ass until you go to bed?”
Eddie’s head shot up, ready to argue. He didn’t, though. He looked back down at his drink and sighed.
“Not really feeling like letting loose, birdie.”
“Why not?”
Eddie shrugged and stayed silent.
“Did something happen?” She pushed. Even on his moody days, he was still usually capable of putting on a smile for her or the kids.
“No, just me being dumb. Making assumptions,” Eddie snorted. “Should be used to it by now.”
“What assumptions?” The song changed to something even louder and she considered dragging Eddie to the outside seating so they could talk.
“Just thought I was making progress on something and I clearly wasn’t.”
Oh, so it’s about Steve.
Eddie hadn’t really talked to her about his feelings, but she caught on early. She watched the way Eddie prioritized Steve over everyone and everything else, how he smiled when Steve was happy, how his mood shifted when Steve was having a bad day. She’d be worried more about it if she didn’t know that Steve was the exact same way.
They were idiots, both of them.
“What makes you think that?” She took a sip of her drink to seem more casual, but Eddie wasn’t that much of an idiot.
“Pretty obvious where I stand when someone’s leaving his room early in the morning, Robin.”
So he did know Robin knew.
“Someone slept over last night?” Robin didn’t know that. Steve rarely brought people to his apartment he shared with Eddie, and he hadn’t in nearly a year. Robin didn’t even know the last time he showed interest in anyone beyond getting a free drink from them.
“Yeah. She seemed like his type. I’m sure you’ll hear all about it soon.”
Robin squinted back at Steve dancing.
He would have told her by now about bringing someone home. They’d been together all afternoon.
“I don’t think he slept with her,” she finally said.
“Yeah, okay. I’m sure they just cuddled all night.”
Robin rolled her eyes. “It’s not what you think, I’m telling you.”
“Sure.”
She couldn’t do or say anything else, just had to let Eddie brood about not being in Steve’s bed even though he could fix it if he just said something.
She finished her drink and excused herself to join Steve. Maybe he could tell her what was going on.
“Hey dingus,” she yelled as she got closer.
Steve turned and smiled at her, sweat dripping from his forehead. “Robs! Hi!”
“Hey, babe. Did you forget to eat today?”
Steve nodded.
“Thought so. Let’s go get you some water.”
She dragged him to the bar and managed to get the bartender to get him water before anyone else got more drinks. She forced him to drink half of it before they walked back towards the table in the corner Eddie hadn’t moved from.
“Eddie! You should dance with me,” Steve exclaimed as he sat next to Eddie and grabbed his arm.
“Maybe next time, Stevie,” Eddie smiled at him, but it didn’t reach his eyes. Steve was still a little too drunk to notice, but Robin saw it.
“Awww, you never dance with me anymore. I miss you.”
Robin could see how hard it was for Eddie to hold himself together. Every possible emotion was flickering behind his eyes.
“Maybe that girl you had over last night will dance with you,” he finally settled on, which Robin immediately wanted to shove back into his mouth.
Steve sat back and seemed to be trying to figure out what Eddie meant when the beat of his current favorite song came on.
“Oh my god! Eddie! Please dance with me!” Steve clapped his hands and stood from the stool he’d been sitting on.
Eddie looked sad, but also endlessly endeared by Steve’s excitement.
“I could be the one or your new addiction!”
Steve was yelling the lyrics right at Eddie, not realizing how much Eddie was hurting.
Robin was his platonic soulmate and Eddie was on of her best friends. She couldn’t keep watching this.
“Steve, maybe you should get some fresh air,” she grabbed his shoulder and tried to turn him away, but he looked mad.
“No, this is my favorite song.”
“Steve, c’mon. Just for a minute. We can listen to this when we get outside if you want.”
Eddie was looking back down at his drink, biting his lip so hard it looked like it might bleed.
“Only if Eddie goes with me,” Steve folded his arms across his chest and pouted.
“Eddie’s gonna save our table in here,” Robin said.
But surprisingly, Eddie interrupted her by standing up and throwing back the rest of his drink.
“I’ll take him.”
Steve cheered and started singing along again as Eddie and Robin shared a look.
Eddie wrapped an arm around Steve’s waist and guided him towards the back door that led to a small seating area outside. Steve was singing the whole way, but he rested his head against Eddie’s shoulder while they walked.
“Why are you sad tonight?” Steve asked as they made their way to the only available table outside.
“I’m not.”
“Friends don’t lie.”
“I’m not lying,” Eddie lied.
“Then dance with me. I love dancing with you,” Steve didn’t move his head from Eddie’s shoulder even when they sat down.
“I love dancing with you too,” Eddie managed to say before he felt a lump in his throat.
He loved doing everything with Steve, even dancing to pop songs at a club, and it was only hurting him more to keep pretending it was enough.
“I even taught you the dance to that song,” Steve said quieter. “Remember?”
“Yeah,” Eddie smiled to himself, tightening his grip around Steve’s shoulders. “Made me put my hips into it.”
“Because you have nice hips,” Steve sighed.
Eddie could feel his face heating up. Steve wasn’t sober enough, he didn’t know what the hell he was saying.
“I barely have hips at all,” Eddie managed to choke out.
“Not true. I like holding them. They’re perfect.”
Okay, Eddie couldn’t do this. Robin needed to read his mind and come outside and-
“Wanna hold them now.”
“Steve, you’re drunk. You-“
“Can we dance?” Steve interrupted.
“The music isn’t loud out here.”
“I can sing it.”
“We’ll be the only ones dancing.”
Steve tilted his head back and looked at Eddie. “When has that stopped you before?”
“Fine.”
Eddie stood and let Steve hold his hips, almost a slow dance, while Steve started singing the song.
“Baby, do you like this beat, I made it so you’d dance with me.”
Eddie loved when Steve sang. He wasn’t the best, but he had a smooth voice that made Eddie smile, regardless of the song he was singing.
They were swaying like it was a slow song, but the vibrations of the bass line coming through the walls of the club made it obvious it wasn’t meant to be.
“I didn’t sleep with her,” Steve said after he went through the chorus once.
“Okay.”
Steve looked frustrated. “Some guy was trying to take her back to his place and he wouldn’t take no for an answer so I let her Uber back with me and she ended up just spending the night. Nothing happened.”
“That’s…fine. I don’t need to hear about it,” Eddie knew he sounded rude, but he truly couldn’t make it through the night if Steve gave a play by play of getting cozy with someone else.
“I don’t ever want anything to happen with anyone but you.”
Eddie stopped swaying. He was pretty sure the music stopped inside. No one else existed except for them.
“What?” He finally squeaked out.
Steve was looking at him like he was the sun.
“No matter who I dance with or flirt with or hang out with, you’re the only one who matters. It’s just you, Eds.”
He was drunk, but drunk Steve never lied. Eddie knew that for a fact. He’d said some harsh truths before when he had more whiskey than he should’ve.
“I don’t understand.”
Steve searched his eyes and bit his lip, like he was considering what to say.
But then his lips were on Eddie’s, soft, cautious.
He was holding back.
Eddie didn’t want him to.
Eddie wrapped his arms around Steve’s waist and pulled him forward so their chests were flush against each other, tongue licking along Steve’s bottom lip to deepen the kiss.
Steve allowed it, moaning as he let Eddie hold most of his weight.
Before they could get too carried away in public, Eddie pulled away to catch his breath and try to get his heart to slow before he passed out.
“Steve, this can’t just be a fun thing. This is…this is everything to me. You’re everything to me.”
Steve nodded, eyes never leaving Eddie’s. “I know. You’re maybe the love of my life. I’m drunk but I know how I feel. Felt that way for years.”
Years?
“Years? And you just now decided to say something?” Eddie wasn’t looking forward to Robin’s ‘I told you so.’
“Couldn’t. Didn’t wanna scare you away.”
“There’s no fucking way you’d ever do that. I’ve been yours for three years whether you knew it or not,” Eddie laughed in disbelief.
“We should go home,” Steve said quickly.
“You tryin’ to take me hot to go?” Eddie teased.
“If you’ll let me,” Steve nodded, tugging on Eddie’s hand to get him to move faster.
“I’ll let you do anything you want, Stevie.”

Dustin knows that as soon as you cut one monster’s head off, another is bound to grow in its place.
So when the late Jason Carver’s family and friends move out of Hawkins, he’s secretly glad about it, sure, but he’s not exactly relieved.
Rumours are a hard thing to kill.
He’s careful; he tries his hardest to be careful. On the occasional days that Eddie happens to pick him up from school, he makes sure Eddie parks down the sidewalk, so he’s out of direct view from the parking lot. In all honesty, he doesn’t think anyone would actually try to start anything; the cover story for Eddie’s innocence hadn’t been watertight, nothing ever is, but it had been enough to stop full blown accusations.
Still. Dustin starts to think that maybe monsters now come in the form of silent looks, of parents whispering as they pick up their children from school, whisking them away as if Eddie might turn them to stone with one glance.
“I’ve had whispers all my life, man,” Eddie had told him, blasé, “I’ll get over it.”
But Dustin figured he could at least spare him from hearing some of it; a little walk before catching a ride isn’t exactly a hardship.
But in all of his imagined worst-case scenarios—picturing himself having to defend Eddie from the town’s rubberneckers—Dustin doesn’t expect to be confronted in the middle of the school day.
And certainly not while he’s alone.
A junior stops him on the way to the cafeteria. Dustin racks his brain, comes up with the name Aaron, blanks on the surname; yet he’s sure that there’s no crossover with Jason and his crew.
“Henderson, right?” Aaron says with a seemingly pleasant smile.
Dustin’s hackles are up from just the way he says his name—it’s not like the way Eddie and Steve say it, rounded and soft with fondness. It’s cold, oil slick.
“Yeah,” he says shortly. He makes to step to the side; Aaron doesn’t stop him really, but his weight shifts subtly, as if to silently declare that there’s no room for argument.
“Come on, let’s take a walk.”
-
At first Dustin tries very hard to convince himself that it’s just a coincidence when Aaron leads him into the woods.
But then he sees the picnic table.
Eddie had described every interaction he’d had with Chrissy in a kind of vivid detail that bordered on desperate—almost as if by recounting it, he might find a scrap of impossible hope: that it hadn’t happened like he thought, that she might have somehow survived after all.
It’s like Dustin can see the memory of her now, can hear Eddie’s words. I noticed she was… jumpy, you know, but, Jesus, I just thought I must’ve spooked her.
“This is where he did it, right?” Aaron says. “Where it all started.”
Dustin stays very still. “I don’t know what you mean.”
“Don’t play dumb. I saw them that day, wandering off.” There’s a horrible gleam in Aaron’s eyes, and Dustin knows it’s been fuelled by the darkest of whispers. “They timed it so it looked like they went there separately, but I fucking saw them.”
“I’m not—”
“He cursed Chrissy here, didn’t he? Then he finished off what he started at his piece of shit trailer. Fucking creep.”
In his mind’s eye, there’s a flash of Eddie in Steve’s arms, something he saw unintentionally, waking in the early hours of the morning. He remembers quickly shutting his eyes again, but that hadn’t been enough to block out Eddie’s gasping, tearful breaths. I thought I could help her, Steve, I-I thought—oh, God—
“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” Dustin says flatly.
He can hear Eddie’s voice in his head. Don’t rise to it, don’t give them an inch. But that had been about teachers itching for an excuse to give someone a detention, not…
“That’s right, Henderson, walk away. You a freak like him?”
The leaves rustle as Aaron stalks forward; Dustin doesn’t look back.
There’s some kinds of people you just can’t reason with, Henderson.
“Yeah, I think you are. Did he teach you everything? Bet you loved it. Bet you begged for it. Begged him to show you how to be a fucking faggot—”
Dustin doesn’t remember actually deciding to throw a punch. It’s like the next few seconds of his life turn to static, to nothing, and suddenly he’s breathing heavily, and Aaron’s looking up at him from the ground in faint surprise.
It must not have been a good punch; there’s not a mark on Aaron’s face, and when Dustin glances down at his knuckles, he can’t see any blood on them. He probably just caught Aaron in the chest—winded him, if anything.
But he stands his ground. Tries to channel how Steve had squared up to Billy Hargrove.
“Say that again, and you’re dead.”
His heart pounds in his ears, a drumbeat of fury. He wonders if maybe a part of him has never stopped being twelve years old, has never stopped being angry when people spat poison about Will.
“No,” Aaron says, getting to his feet, “you are.”
And Dustin is shoved backwards. His ankle is still weak from that damn fall through the gate, so he goes down hard.
And as he lies there, trying to catch his breath through the flare of pain, he suddenly realises that no-one knows where he is. That he could get really, really hurt.
Aaron looms over him, saying nothing. He spits in Dustin’s face.
And then he leaves.
-
“Where were you?” Mike asks the period after lunch, passing over a cup of chocolate pudding he’d saved.
Dustin spins a tale about having lunch in the music department, waiting for a slot to become free for guitar lessons. It’s not technically a lie; he’d simply planned on doing it next week instead: just a taster session so he could tell Eddie about it, and then Eddie would bitch about promising youth getting ruined by learning “fucking godawful technique”, and then he’d teach Dustin properly.
Mike buys it, but his forehead wrinkles in concern when Dustin doesn’t touch the pudding.
Dustin bites down the stupid impulse to ask him about how it felt to jump off Sattler Quarry—because right now he thinks he’s been left dangling over the edge of a cliff.
Just waiting to fall.
-
He thinks he’s doing an okay job at hiding the persistent throb in his ankle, takes care to walk to Eddie’s van with his head up.
But then Eddie opens the door, and his first words are, “Hey, are you limping?”
Dustin just stops himself from sighing. Plan B, then.
“Had to run track at gym,” he lies easily.
“Why the hell would you do that?”
“I thought it would be fine!”
“C’mon, man, you’ve got a doctor’s note for a reason.”
Dustin does sigh this time—a harsh, frustrated sound as his ankle gives another warning twinge. He doesn’t stop himself in time, and he snaps, “God, you sound like Steve. It doesn’t suit you.”
The surprised glance Eddie gives him is awful. He’s silent for a moment, starting up the engine.
“Didn’t realise only Steve could care,” he says lightly, but Dustin can see the flicker of hurt in his eyes.
But while a part of him instantly regrets what he says, another part is relieved: he knows that, for now, Eddie won’t pry anymore, will just give him a pointed silent treatment for the rest of the ride.
Dustin tells himself that he doesn’t mind. He’d rather Eddie be hurt by his words than anyone else’s.
He can do this. He can handle this on his own.
He has to.

Being in a relationship is a lot of work. Having to make sure you’re both happy and being worried that one is mad at you because of something. Eddie wasn’t good at it. It felt like he was constantly screwing up with you. Ever since you graduated and he showed up late to your ceremony, missing you walk across the stage, it’s like you were in a constant state of anger with him. He tried so hard to make you happy, but just when it felt like you were, something would happen and you’d be angry with him again.
Eddie was in his trailer getting ready for a deal. It was for Chrissy Cunningham. He was thinking of you, he always was, but when Chrissy got to the trailer, all thoughts of you left his mind. Something about her made his worries about you go away. He felt peace for the first time in almost a year.
You were sitting in a fancy restaurant waiting for Eddie, all dressed up and excited. It was your one year with Eddie and you’ve been waiting for this date for weeks. Ever since Eddie promised he’d take you out and spoil you, you’ve been trying to be better with him. You did realize you’ve been a bit… impatient with him lately and you wanted to do better. Almost an hour went by and you kept checking the time. Eddie was supposed to be here by now. Your waitress kept coming by and asking if you were ready and after the 6th time and another hour went by, you lost all hope. You just shook your head and asked for the check to pay for your glass of wine. When you left your heart ached. Why did you hold out hope? You knew Eddie had a deal, but he promised over and over that he’d make it go by quickly.
When Chrissy finally left, Eddie walked off to his room, high and with a smile on his face. He looked at his bed and froze. His heart stopped and his eyes went wide. His suit. It was laid out on the bed, waiting for him to change into. He looked at the time and panicked. He was supposed to meet you hours ago. He ran to his phone on the wall and called you. He heard the phone pick up and your weak voice answered.
“Hello?” His face fell. You sounded like you had been crying. He could only imagine what you felt. Heartbreak, anger. Probably every negative emotion he could think of.
“Princess, I’m so sorry! T-The deal…. I got distracted and-”
“Don’t.” You stopped him and he went quiet. You were done. He had done things like this one too many times and you were done. His constant excuses. “Who was the deal for?”
“Chrissy Cunningham…” His voice was small and quiet.
You squeezed your eyes shut and your lip quivered. Chrissy was Hawkin’s golden girl. Every guy was under her spell and she used it to her advantage. Now she was getting to Eddie. Two hours she was with him. Probably played dumb and acted like she didn’t know how to smoke, even though you’ve seen her at enough parties smoking weed and snorting various powders. You sighed and blinked away tears.
“You promised, Eddie. You promised you’d be there. That you’d spoil me with the money from that deal since it was a big one. How much did you even get from it?” Your voice was like venom in his ear.
“I-I didn’t charge her…” Eddie pressed his forehead against the wall in front of him and pressed his lips together in a tight line.
You scoffed and couldn’t stop the tears. “Unbelievable. Fuck you, Eddie. We’re done.” You slammed the phone down and fell on your bed, sobbing. Heavy heaves rocked your stomach and tears wouldn’t stop.
Eddie slid down the wall and sat there. He lost you. The one person he cared about the most was gone. What was he supposed to do? Nothing he would say would get you back. He fell under the golden girl’s spell. He knew she was lying when she asked him to teach her since she didn’t know how to smoke it right. He knew she was, but for some reason he still helped her. The trailer door opened and he glanced over. Wayne walked in and looked down at him.
“What happened? Thought you were out.” Wayne shoved his hands in his pockets. Eddie shook his head and felt the tears start.
“I fucked up real bad, Wayne.” Wayne grunted as he sat down next to him on the floor. “It’s our one year. I was supposed to spoil her and treat her like a queen.”
“Well, why didn’t you?” Wayne looked at him and Eddie hung his head low.
“I had a deal. I-I don’t even know what happened, but she ended up staying for 2 hours and I completely forgot about the date. S-She said we were done.” Eddie pulled a cigarette out of his pocket, suddenly needing to calm down. He lit it and leaned his head back against the wall.
A week went by. You were at your job at the grocery store. You were broken. Eddie was the only person that made you happy and now that was gone. You regretted everything. You regretted not talking to him because you knew the effect Chrissy had on men.
You looked up when someone walked up to your register. Speak of the devil. Chrissy was smirking at you, holding a box of condoms. She held them out for you and you scanned them without a word. “$8.53.” Your voice was monotone and quiet.
“How’s Eddie doing? Haven’t seen him in a week or so.” She pulled some cash out of her little purse hanging over her shoulder. “Thinking of going to visit him today. Smoked through my stash pretty quickly.” She handed out the money with a grin on her face.
You took it and gave her the change, roughly handing her the condom box. “Have a good day, thank you for shopping at Mark’s.” You blew through the thing you were forced to say every time a customer was finished checking out. She frowned.
“Not gonna answer my question?” She fake pouted. “Or did something happen between you two?”
“Have a good day.” You spat out and waved at the next customer in line. Chrissy rolled her eyes and walked off. After work you pulled into your parent’s driveway and walked inside. Your parents looked at you from the couch with a smile. They were sitting with the Carvers. Jason sat between his parents, grinning at you. Ever since you told your parents you broke up with Eddie, they were over the moon. Jason took every chance to talk to you and they were trying to set you up with each other.
“How was work, honey?” Your mom chirped and stood up.
You shrugged. “It was fine.” You looked between all the people sitting in your living room.
Ever since that night you were forced to be with Jason. Your parents guilt tripped you into it, saying it was good for the family, that their reputation counted on it. Jason had the reputation of being a horrible boyfriend. You had seen the many girls beaten down from it all throughout highschool. Some even moved away because of how much he had broken them.
It was months of torture. Forced to be with a man you even like, let alone love, was torture. Jason was the worst person you’d ever met. If you didn’t make him happy, it would result in another bruise. You were broken down and weak. Jason had made you a shell of yourself. Made you compliant and submissive to his every word. Your body hurt constantly. He forced you to do so many things. Unspeakable things. He hurt you in public. Yelled at you in stores while everyone just stood there and watched.
You missed him. Eddie was the light of your life and the only thing that kept you going the last few months were thoughts of him. The way he was gentle and loving with you. The way he’d comfort you and make you feel the most important girl in the world. You regretted breaking up with him. You regretted everything. Eddie was in the grocery store one day. He was picking up a few things for Wayne. He knew about your “relationship” with Jason and he was ruined for the first few weeks. You were no longer his. Gone forever. He heard yelling and looked over to where the ruckus was.
“You’re useless! I ask you to do one thing and you fuck that up too!” It was Jason. He was screaming at you. Eddie dropped the bag of chips he was holding. You looked so scared. So small like you were nothing. Eddie watched Jason slap you hard and push you to the ground before storming off. You whimpered and stayed on the ground, not having the motivation to stand. Eddie rushed over and you flinched, scrambling back at the tall figure running at you.
“Hey, hey, princess, it’s just me…” His voice was soothing and you looked up at his face, a rush of calm going through you. He gently grabbed your hands and helped you up, his hands then going down to your waist on reflex. You flinched a little and wiggled out of his grip. His heart sank. What did Jason do to you?
“Eddie, you have to go… Jason will kill you if he sees you.” Eddie cupped your face and pulled you close.
“What did he do to you, princess?” He looked down at your shaking body. It was bruised and looked weak. He wanted to make everything better. Hold you, comfort you, take you away from him and far away from here. He knew your parents were the ones forcing you to be with him. He wanted to save you.
You shook your head and pulled away from him. “I-I can’t. I’m sorry…” You ran off to find Jason and Eddie just stayed there. Frozen. You were almost his again. You were right there. He touched you.
That night was it. You were leaving Jason and your family. You were done with all of them, only wanting to be with the one person who made you happy. You packed all your things and managed to get out through your window. You started walking. Luckily the place you wanted wasn’t very far from here. Stepping up to the front door of the trailer, knowing it was late and he probably wouldn’t answer. You knocked and shivered softly from the cold Indiana winter air. A few seconds later the door swung open and Eddie was standing there. He was in a sleeveless Iron Maiden shirt and red checkered boxers. His hand was up on the doorframe and the other was holding the door. You looked up at him and your lip quivered.
“Baby?” He let out a breath and grabbed you, pulling you in and holding you close, burying his face in your hair. You started sobbing into his chest and wrapped your arms tight around his neck. He breathed heavily and kept you close, not wanting to ever let you go again. “It’s okay, baby. You’re safe now, I promise… I won’t let anyone hurt you ever again, I promise.”
You sniffled and pressed your face into his neck, breathing in his scent and melting into him. He gently sat you down on the couch and held your hands in his. You explained everything. You told him all the things Jason did to you and he comforted you through the whole night, just sitting there and listening to you. He didn’t want to scare you so he held you gently and let you just let it all out.
His familiar touch made something brew up inside you. A feeling you had missed. A feeling Jason never caused. Even after everything Jason did, you still craved Eddie’s touch. Anytime you slept with Jason, you always imagined Eddie and that was how you made it through sex with Jason. You pressed into Eddie more and looked up at him. His face softened and his eyebrows knitted together.
“Make it go away, Eddie.” Your voice was soft and pleading. He lifted you gently into his lap and pressed his forehead against yours. His hands went up and down your sides and you squirmed in his lap.
“Are you sure, Princess? I-I don’t want to push you.” He looked into your eyes and you nodded.
“Please, Eddie…” You whined a little and pushed up against him. He leaned forward and pressed his softly against yours. You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him back. He kept the kiss gentle and his touch soft. He didn’t want to go too fast.
He’s been wanting this for months, he was going to savor it and worship you the way you deserved. He laid you down on the couch and kneeled over you, reaching down and pulling your shirt and shorts off. He stared at the fading bruises on your hips and rubs, a frown forming on his face. “I’m so sorry, princess… I’ll make it all better… I promise.” The promises. All the promises he was going to fulfill no matter what. He started to kiss your chest, slowly going down your stomach. He kissed over every bruise, vowing to make you forget about every one of them.
He settled between your legs and gently placed them over your shoulders. He looked up at you while kissing your inner thigh, licking his way up. You shuttered and bit your lip, moaning softly. Your fingers went down and tangled in his hair as he licked a stripe up your slit. “God, your fucking smell… So good, I need it…” His lips attached to your clit and you cried out, gasping and bucking your hips up against his face.
“E-Eddie…!” You moaned and tightened your fingers in his hair. He worshiped every inch of your pussy, wanting the taste cemented in his mind. He shut his eyes and hummed softly into your pussy. He slid 2 fingers in and licked your clit while fingering you. You arched your back and moaned louder, chanting his name as he brought you ever closer to climax. He egged you on and soon you came hard on his tongue with his name on your lips.
He kissed back up your belly and lightly suckled on your nipples. “Mmm…” You bit your lip, smiling as he worshiped every inch of you. He knew your body so well and it was a breath of fresh air to be actually cared for during sex. Your pleasure mattered too, not just the man’s.
He kissed back up to your lips and you wrapped yourself around him. You both sat up and managed to get his clothes off. His hands went to your face and he kissed you again, this one a little more forceful than the past ones. You put your hands on his bare chest and one went down to mess with his happy trail. God you missed that little patch of hair so much. He lifted you up into his lap and you grinded against him, your lips still connected.
“Fuck, princess, I missed you so goddamn, much…” He pulled away just to look at your face. Just to take in your beauty. You blushed a little and looked down at your lap. He leaned in and kissed you again, wrapping his arms tight around your waist. You reached between the both of you and wrapped your hand around his aching cock, lightly pumping it. He groaned into your mouth and let his head fall slack against yours. “Milk me for all I’m worth, baby… I’m all yours…”
You giggled softly and nuzzled your face into his neck, still stroking his cock at a leisurely pace. He held you close and buried his face in your hair. You kissed his shoulder and lightly scratched his back with your other hand. He hissed in pleasure and pulled your hand away. “I need to be inside you, baby… Please?” He looked at you with pleading eyes.
You whimpered and nodded. “Yes, Eddie, please..!” He lifted you up a little and slid you down his cock. You moaned and shut your eyes at the feeling of him filling you up. He gave you a second to get used to him being inside you and then started gently guiding you up and down his cock. You moaned and gripped his shoulders hard, digging your nails into his skin. It was very slow and gentle, but it was exactly what you both needed after months apart. You two would be rough later, right now you needed him to make love to you.
“I love you so much, sweetheart. Never stopped… Couldn’t stop.” He pressed his forehead against yours and moaned softly. You cupped his face and moaned in unison with him.
“I love you, too Eddie…” You clenched around him and moaned louder. “E-Eddie… I’m gonna cum…”
“Do it, baby. Look in my eyes and cum all over my cock.” You cried out at his permission and came hard, squeezing around him and looking deep in brown eyes. He groaned and kept thrusting up into you.
“W-Where do you want it, baby?” He groaned and tightened his hold a little on your hips.
“I-Inside me…” He grunted, gritting his teeth together before unloading inside you. You moaned at the feeling and fell slack against his chest. He breathed heavily and held you tight against him. He kissed your head and pressed little pecks against your face.
He pulled out of you and rushed off to find a towel to clean you up. He wrapped the both of you in a blanket and you snuggled into his chest, closing your eyes and letting your breathing stabilize. He smiled and pressed his face into your neck. You pulled away and looked at him, cupping his jaw.
“Take me away from here. Take me out of this town. I can’t stay here.”
He nodded and kissed your forehead. “We’ll get out. I promise.”

“There’s nothing good on,” you bemoan, flicking through the channels absentmindedly. Just as you’re about to give up on finding something to watch, a familiar dramatic voice rings out from the tinny TV speaker.
“It’s twins, and the two of you are the father of one each.”
Your fingers falter on the remote as you hear the events play out. Shelby’s sitting in a hospital bed, not unlike your own, one baby in each arm. The plot is so ridiculous, yet you can’t help but be drawn in. The only thing missing is a bucket of popcorn for you to chow down on.
And Eddie, you think miserably, swallowing the thought like it’s a dry pill. He would sit slack-jawed as the two lovers argued over which baby belonged to which man, making comments like, “did you see that?!” when he knows good and well that you’re sitting two feet from him and did, in fact, see it.
Dr. Drake Ramoray is about to announce the paternity test results when there’s a soft knock on your door.
“Can, um, can we come in?” You turn your head to see Mandy standing in the doorway, pushing a redheaded girl in a wheelchair. “This is Maxine. She’ll be your new roommate,” she explains.
“Yup, finally busted out of intensive care,” the girl deadpans, tilting her head to better hear the TV. “Is that Days of Our Lives?”
You give an embarrassed giggle, muting the show. “Yeah, sorry. Guilty pleasure.”
Maxine shakes her head. “No, put it back on! I love that shit. I didn’t have a TV in ICU, so I had to listen to my boyfriend read to me.” A blush creeps across her cheeks at the mention of her boyfriend, and she leans on Mandy as the nurse helps her into the bed. “He has a nice voice, though. So it wasn’t all bad. Better than listening to him argue with his friends about D&D.” Mandy laughs at that before excusing herself from the room.
The mention of the fantasy game is like a knife slice through your heart, but you shake off the thought. “That’s sweet of him.”
“Yeah,” Maxine nods. “Read all my favorites. Guess that’s how it’ll be for a while, until I learn Braille.” That’s when you notice that her eyes are cloudy, the blue irises not focusing in a particular direction.
You’re rendered speechless for a moment, unsure how to respond to what she’s said. “I’m sorry,” you finally manage to choke out, wincing at how dumb you sound.
Maxine doesn’t seem to care or pick up on your embarrassment. “It sucks,” she says, “but I’ve got a good support system, y’know? And with the way everything in this town’s gone to shit, being blind doesn’t seem like too big of a deal.”
You assume she’s talking about the earthquake essentially splitting Hawkins into quadrants, destroying homes, businesses, and leaving far too many people injured or dead. You start to nod before remembering that she can’t see you. “I get it, but it doesn’t mean it’s not a big deal to you.”
She pauses before responding, contemplating what you’ve just said. “Guess so,” she mumbles. “I just feel guilty worrying about myself when other people are suffering even worse.”
“I’ll drink to that.” You raise your glass of water to your lips, feeling the lukewarm liquid slip down your throat. “Have they told you how much time you'll be stuck here?”
She chuckles tersely. “Nope. They all keep saying, ‘a little bit longer, and you’ll be back home.’ But I don’t even know if I’ll have a home to go back to.”
“Where do you–did you live?” You shake your head. “That might be too personal, sorry. I’m just excited to have someone to talk to.” And it’s true. Ever since Eddie left a few days ago, you’d been alone with your thoughts. Never a good thing, especially when you’re feeling this sad and helpless, and the mundaneness of the hospital certainly doesn’t help.
“It’s cool. I lived over on Porter Street for a year or so before my mom and I moved into Forest Hills Trailer Park.” She gnaws on her lower lip as though waiting for your judgment. “But before we came to Hawkins, I lived in California.”
“Oh.” California. Where you and Eddie had made plans to run away to–though the sincerity of those plans were apparently up for debate. You want to ask her about it; if she’s ever been to Los Angeles, if she wants to go back, but the knot in your stomach urges you to shift the topic. “Your trailer–was it destroyed in the earthquake?”
“Not sure,” she answers honestly. “No one’s said anything to me, but that could just be to keep me from getting upset. But my boyfriend’s idiot friend–one of them, anyway–let it slip that my neighbor’s trailer got, like, split in half.”
“Oh, shit,” you breathe out. “Is your neighbor okay?”
“Uh, I think so,” Maxine says. “I haven’t talked to him but my boyfriend said he was released from the hospital.”
“That’s good,” you say. “I mean, not that he was in here, but that he was okay to leave.”
“Eddie—that’s my neighbor—is staying with some friends, I think. Or friends of his uncle or something.”
The way your head snaps so quickly in the redhead’s direction makes such a loud crack that even she hears it, wincing at the pop. “Eddie” is a common enough name, but you can’t think of another Eddie other than your Eddie—or, Eddie Munson, that is—in all of Hawkins.
“Wait. Is your neighbor Eddie Munson?” you ask, voice quivering despite your attempt to sound casual.
Her eyebrows pinch together and her head tilts in your direction. “How do you—oh shit! You’re Sunshine, aren’t you?”
Your face heats up at hearing Eddie’s nickname for you. How did Maxine know about that? She’s already said that she hasn’t talked to him. Which only means she heard it from someone else. But who? Between the days dragging into one another and the cocktail medley of medications you’ve been on, you’re not sure if Eddie called you that in front of his friends or not. But either way, somehow it was going around in his friend group that he’d met you and coined that nickname for you.
“I, uh, yeah, I guess that’s me,” you say.
“Dustin was telling me about you,” she answers your unasked question. “He said you’re pretty cool and you and Eddie got along really well.”
“Yeah,” you say, heaving a sigh. “I guess we did.”
“Did?” Maxine asks, picking up on your tone. “Something happen?”
“We had a fight,” you admit. “We both said some pretty nasty shit to one another. Then he left without saying goodbye, and I haven’t heard from him since.”
“Eddie’s never been known for his impulse control,” Max notes wryly, but anything else she’s about to add is cut off by the sound of more voices at the door.
“Max!” It’s Robin, and she has a girl by her side. “Hey, it’s me and Nancy. Sorry we’re late; no one told us that you moved rooms–oh, it’s Sunshine!”
You blush at the second mention of your nickname. “Hi, guys,’ you say, giving a little wave. “How’ve you been?”
“Can’t complain,” Robin puts her hands in her pockets. “But, really, we should be asking how you’re doing.” She glances over to her right side. “Oh, this is our friend, Nancy Wheeler.” Nancy gives you a soft smile, and you try to muster up one back.
“I’m okay.” you shrug. I had my first surgery yesterday, so I’m sore. Kinda nauseous from the pain meds. But other than that, I’m fine.”
“She and Eddie got into a fight,” Maxine–Max–pipes up from the bed next to you. “He didn’t even say goodbye to her. Just…poof! Vanished.” She makes a little explosion gesture with her hands to emphasize her point.
Nancy presses her lips into a thin line. “Yeah, we heard,” she admits. “Eddie told us the other day. He, uh, he’s not very good at handling conflict.”
“You can say that again,” you mumble, trying to hide your bitterness.
“He’s been different ever since he came home from the hospital,” Robin says. She pushes the curtain between the two beds as open as it would go and puts two chairs in between you and Max. She takes the chair closer to you and Nancy takes the one closer to Max.
“What do you mean?” you ask.
“He’s been acting weird,” Robin says.
“How can you tell?” Max asks, a smirk on her lips as she gazes unseeingly at the ceiling.
“Weird for him. He’s all broody and sulking. I mean, I get that the guy almost died, but he was in a much better mood when he was in here.”
All eyes—even Max’s—turn to you laying in your bed. It’s hard not to shrink under their gaze. You tuck your blanket up higher in an attempt to comfort yourself.
“Do you want to talk to him?” Nancy asks, leaning forward to see you around Robin.
“Yes,” you admit. “I thought we could clear the air before he left, but clearly that didn’t happen. Then I was hoping the phone would ring. Or maybe he’d just show up. Every time I was taken out of my room for tests or something, I’d always ask my nurse Mandy to watch in case he stopped by. This whole thing’s honestly just got me going crazy. I just want a chance to apologize and explain.”
“What happened?” Robin asks, but after a stern look from Nancy adds, “If you don’t mind talking about it, that is.”
You take a deep breath and nod your head. The pain meds are still circulating through your system so you find yourself more willing to spill your guts to these girls you hardly knew.
“You know how he called me Sunshine? Well, that ended up being a shit load of pressure. I mean, he didn’t really put it on me—I-I guess I did. But if I brought happiness to his day then I didn’t want to bring him down by telling him the news on my leg wasn’t good. This can be a pretty shitty place to spend day after day so I didn’t want to make it worse on him.
But it’s not like he ever gave me a chance to explain any of this. Just assumed I was lying to him for my own sick enjoyment. Kept going on and on about how I was just like everyone else who ever made fun of him. And that really fuckin’ hurt. Then he called me—among other things—a bitch and I was seething. I was seeing red, spitting mad. So, I…well, fuck, I said something I really didn’t mean. It went too far and I regretted it the moment it came out of my mouth. I tried…I tried to tell him that. But he wouldn’t listen. Not that I entirely blame him. So, I told myself, I’d talk to him in the morning before he left. Then everything would be-be good.”
You didn’t expect to start crying while talking about this—about Eddie, but your cheeks are covered in the wet proof that you did. You’re so flustered that you don’t even register Robin taking your hand in hers.
“Let it out,” she reassures you. “You never told Eddie about any of this?”
You shake your head. “Everyone kept saying how happy I made him. I didn’t wanna be the reason why he’s sad.”
“I don’t think he would’ve been sad,” Nancy tells you. “Concerned, yes. But, I also understand you wanting to shield him from that.”
“He misses you. It’s plain as day,” Robin says, and her words make you start crying even harder. She scoots her chair closer to you so that she can rub your shoulder consolingly. “It’s going to be okay. And I’m not the type of person who is just going to say that to make you feel better. Actually, I tend to say the wrong thing when I’m trying to make someone feel better. But I genuinely believe this is just a misunderstanding you guys are gonna get through.”
“Yeah, if he ever talks to me again,” you say with a sniffle.
“He will,” Nancy says and she sounds resolutely sure in her answer.
Robin and Nancy stay for a little over an hour, talking about people that you don’t know and places that you haven’t been, but you somehow still feel part of the whole conversation with them. It might be the medicine coursing its way through your body, but you feel a little emotional being in a group of girls like this. You hadn’t made a solid group of girl friends away at college, so you’ve been missing this kind of connection.
Once Robin and Nancy leave, they’re not out the door for thirty seconds before Max pounces.
“You love him.”
“What?” You’re so taken aback by her statement that you can’t come up with anything else to say. No point in asking who she’s talking about, since the only guy you knew in their whole conversation was Eddie—and Steve and Dustin a little. But you’d never even thought those words to yourself about Eddie before. Obviously, you found him attractive. Very attractive. And he’s so kind and funny. It’s addictive spending time with him; you always want more. Your stomach flip flops as you come to the realization.
Holy shit. Max is right.
“I know I’m right,” Max says.
Color draining from your face, you turn in her direction. “What?”
She chuckles and shrugs her shoulders. “Knew you were thinking about how right I am. I’m right about most things. Just ask my boyfriend.”

A frantic knock on the door has Eddie hoisting himself up from where he’s slumped down on Gareth’s couch, which is now his makeshift bed. Since he’d been discharged from the hospital, he and Wayne have been crashing there. It’s a nice place; much fancier than the trailer, but it’s not his home. The steaming cup of cocoa that Gareth’s mom made for him reminds him of the shelf of mugs in his own home, now utterly destroyed.
Bet Sunshine could make tonight better, he thinks glumly. She made everything better. The knocking gets louder, snapping him from his pity party. “Coming, coming!” Eddie grumbles, tossing aside the quilt and padding towards the door.
He’s nearly bowled over by Robin and Nancy, who eagerly push their way into the living room. “Um, come on in, I guess?”
“Cool, thanks,” Robin says, plopping down in an armchair. “We need to talk to you, like, now.”
Nancy rolls her eyes. “Jesus, Robs. You make it sound like an emergency.”
“It is an emergency,” Robin protests. “A love emergency!”
“Lucy, Ethel!” Eddie interrupts. “Can you get to the point, please?”
Nancy grins as she delivers the news. “We saw Sunshine today,” she says, watching as Eddie’s eyes widen in surprise. “Max is her new roommate.”
“She misses you, and she is so, so sorry,” Robin jumps in. “She told us that she was going to talk to you the morning after your argument, but you’d already left.” She frowns. “Did you really leave without saying goodbye?”
Eddie buries his face in his hands. “I fucked up. Bad.” He stands up, pacing the room. “But so did she! She—she threw the murder charges in my face! Like it was nothing.”
“She knows,” Nancy says. “And she feels awful about it.”
“And she lied to me,” Eddie adds. “I mean, Buckley, you were there when Harrington said there was a spark. How could there be a spark if she’d just been lying to me?”
Robin breathes out, sharing a knowing look with Nancy. “Eddie,” she starts, “she felt a lot of pressure to keep up this happy, optimistic façade for you. She thought that if she told you what was going on, you’d worry about her.”
Eddie barks out an incredulous laugh. “Of course I’d worry about her! When the people you lo—care about are going through shit, you worry about them!”
“Well, did you tell her about the Upside Down?” Nancy presses, leaning her chin on her palm.
“No.”
“And why not?”
“Because it’s crazy, and unbelievable, and pretty fuckin’ scary!”
“Yeah, well, the stuff she’s going through is pretty fuckin’ scary for her, too,” Robin explains. “And just like you wanted to protect her, she wanted to protect you.”
“Jesus.” Eddie breathes out a long sigh. “What can I—how can I fix this?” A misty film coats his eyes. “I never meant to make her feel like she couldn’t talk to me about her problems.”
Nancy puts a polished hand on Eddie’s shoulder. “I think you should be telling her this,” she says kindly. “Maybe bring her some flowers?”
Eddie perks up a bit at the thought. “Yeah! Yeah, I can do that. Maybe I can go next week, when I’m cleared for longer car rides.” The trip home from the hospital was painful enough; each bump in the road sent shockwaves through his scars.
Robin smiles. I think she’ll love that.”
“Never thought I’d be taking love life advice from Lady Wheeler and Video Girl,” he muses.
Robin shrugs, clearly not offended. “Better than from Steve,” she says simply.

It’s only been about two weeks since Eddie’s been in these halls, but being able to walk them of his own free will and knowing he can turn around and leave at any time he likes certainly makes it better. Making the familiar walk to his old room, Eddie wrinkles his nose at the scent of antiseptic and whatever disinfectant they use to clean the floors. How did he ever sleep in this place? Bells and alarms are going off every other minute. Eddie feels like he’s going crazy and he’s only been in the hospital for three minutes.
Small bouquet of Sunflowers in his hand, Eddie takes the elevator to the correct floor, then turns right down two hallways, and he’s finally at the room. Before raising his fist to knock, Eddie takes a deep breath to compose himself. He wasn’t sure how he’d be feeling seeing his Sunshine again after their fight, but the correct answer to that would be anxious. He gently knocks on the door frame and pokes his head into the room.
“Who is it?” Max asks, talking to you, Eddie presumes. Or maybe to him, wanting him to announce himself.
“It’s, uh, me,” Eddie says, taking a step into the room. “Um, Eddie.” He glances over at your bed, hoping one quick look would steel his nerves to look at you head on. But he does a double take when you’re not in the bed.
“Hey, Eddie,” Max says. She breaks him out of his confused haze and he steps around the curtain to see her. Considering all that the girl had gone through, she doesn’t look too bad. Casts are still covering the multiple bones that had been broken, but her unseeing eyes were by far the most unsettling. It caused a pit in Eddie’s stomach to know all that she had endured and all she had tried to shield her friends from had landed her here like this.
“How’re you feeling, Red?” Eddie takes a seat next to her bed, your flowers still clutched in his grip.
“So bored,” she says with a sigh. “There’s shit to do around here. I have to listen to everything. Can’t watch anything, obviously. Can’t touch anything ‘cause of these damn broken arms. Only other senses I get to use are my sense of smell to inhale the lovely aroma of body odor and hospital chemicals, and my sense of taste when I have to literally be spoon fed because my body doesn’t work.”
“Jesus,” Eddie says. “I’m thinking I’m lucky now that all I have are some chunks of skin missing from my one man show for some fucked up demonic bats.”
“I’m sorry,” Max says with a sigh. “I didn’t mean to unload on you like that. Just been stuck in my head today.”
“No, no, I get it. But, uh…couldn’t you have talked to… I mean, where is, um,” Eddie stutters out.
“Your Sunshine?” Max asks, a mocking cheesy smile on her face. “Came to see your girl?”
“Yeah,” Eddie says with a sigh. A faint blush comes to his cheeks at Max referring to you in that way. “Where is she?”
“Her second surgery is today,” Max tells him. “They came and took her early this morning and I’m not sure when she’ll be back because they’ll take her to recovery first.”
Eddie’s grip tightens on the flowers in his hands and he makes a conscious effort to take it easy so the stems aren’t snapped off when you get to see them. There’s a queasiness in his stomach as he thinks about you being in surgery right now. Unconscious, doctors working on you, scalpels cutting open portions of your skin. It gives him a full body chill.
“Her mom is here somewhere. In the surgery center’s waiting room, I’d guess,” Max tells him.
“Oh,” Eddie says, suddenly becoming fidgety in his seat. He wants to go out there and find your mom, who will hopefully have an update on you. But he doesn’t want to leave Max all alone again.
“Go,” Max says, as if reading his mind. “Just make sure you switch the television to something else before you leave. If I hear the news cycle one more time I’m going to claw my way out of these casts just so I can turn the channel myself.”
Eddie stands and flips through the channels until he settles on Wheel of Fortune. “How’s that?”
“Kinda hard to play along without seeing the puzzle, but whatever, it’s better than the news. Oh, uh, Eddie? Before you go, can I ask you something?”
“Of course,” he says, slipping his free hand into the pocket of his jeans.
“No one will give me a straight answer. Maybe they don’t know or just don’t want to tell me, but I know you’ll have seen it. Is my home okay? I know my mom’s still staying there, but I want to know she’s safe.”
Eddie frowns and takes a few steps forward to gently place his hand on your shoulder. “Your trailer looks fine. Or, well, I guess I should say it looks the same. None of the trailers in Forest Hills have ever looked ‘fine.’ But yeah, your mom is safe there. No damage or anything like that.”
“Thank you,” Max says, releasing a sigh that’s probably weighed heavily on her for a while.
“Sure thing. Hey, I brought some flowers. I’m gonna put them on Sunshine’s bedside table, okay?” He takes one of the sunflowers out of the bunch and snaps off the branch so he can stick it into one of Max’s twin braids. “Now you look like a real flower child.”
“Can’t hold my fingers up in a peace sign, but okay. Yeah, I’ll tell her the flowers are from you if she comes back in here after you’ve left. Glad to know there’s actually flowers in here though, because I smelled them and thought it was some new cleaning product they were trying.”
“Thanks, Red. I’ll see you soon, yeah?” Eddie asks as he sets your flowers down.
“Wish I could say the same,” Max says and Eddie winces at his phrasing. “I’m messing around. Go find your Sunshine, lover boy.”
“Ugh, don’t call me that,” Eddie whines.
“Fine. Romeo? Lovebug? Casanova?”
“Jesus, just call me Eddie,” he says with an eye roll. He shouts a goodbye over his shoulder as he heads out of the room.
Eddie makes his way to the waiting room, rubber soles of his worn Keds squeaking on the linoleum floor. He recognizes your mom from their brief encounter the day before he left, and he gives her a tight grin.
“Um, hi,” he says. She gives him a confused look, and he realizes how different he must look, freshly shaved and in his normal clothes. “I’m Eddie. Sunshine’s old roommate? And, uh, the one who called her Sunshine, I guess.” He ducks his head bashfully.
Your mom’s expression softens as she recognizes the boy. “Of course! Sorry, it feels like my head is spinning, waiting for the doctor to come out with an update.”
“How long has it been?” Eddie asks, taking a seat next to her.
“Too damn long,” She chuckles lightly as she glances at her wristwatch, letting out an exasperated sigh. “About four hours now. They said it shouldn’t take too much longer than that…”
As if on cue, Dr. Sanoj hurries into the waiting room, fingers clasped together. A knot forms in Eddie’s stomach; whatever’s going on can’t be good.
“I have an update on your daughter,” he says to your mom. “We could speak somewhere private, if you’d like.” His gaze briefly shifts to Eddie, who shoves his hands in his pockets shyly.
But your mom is firm when she shakes her head and says, “no, he can hear this.”
“Okay,” the doctor begins. “The surgery was successful, and didn’t take too long at all. There are some complications, however; possibly due to having two procedures done so close together.”
“What’s going on?” Eddie interrupts.
“We’re having some difficulty waking her from the anesthesia, and she’s spiked a small fever,” Dr. Sanoj admits. “There’s no real cause for concern yet. We’re just going to have the nurses continue to take her vitals.”
Eddie feels your mom’s fingernails dig into his wrist, but he doesn’t complain. It feels good, in a way, to know that he can be there for someone in their time of need. “Can we see her?” she asks the doctor.
He nods. “Yes, of course. You can follow me into the recovery room.” They’re both right on his heels as they make their way down the white corridor. Neither of them say a word, but the fear is palpable.
“You can go in first,” your mom offers. “I need to make some phone calls to relatives and friends. Just let me know if she wakes up, please.” Her tone is hopeful, but Eddie can still sense the anxiety beneath it.
Seeing you in such a vulnerable state twists Eddie’s heart. He doesn’t even realize he’s crying until he feels the tears on his cheeks. Pulling up a chair to your bedside, he takes your hand and brings it to his lips, kissing it gently.
“Sunshine, can you hear me? If you can hear me, please wake up.” He leans over, placing the back of his free hand on your forehead. “Shit, you’re burnin’ up. Small fever, my ass,” he grumbles. He’s always been suspicious of doctors, and he doesn’t trust that this isn’t more serious than the surgeon let on.
“Listen, Sunshine,” he starts. He’s not sure if you can even hear him, but it’s worth a shot. “I’m really sorry that I made you feel like you had to pretend to be happy all the time. That’s never what I wanted. I guess…I guess I figured you’d tell me if something was wrong. Sounds kinda dumb now that I’m saying it out loud.” He gives a small laugh. “And when I found out that you’d been keeping your surgeries a secret, I thought it was just you pushin’ me away. But now I know it’s because you were just tryin’ to protect me.
“And, look, I get it if you don’t want anything to do with me anymore. I’m loud, and impulsive, and I couldn’t pass geometry if my life depended on it. I have no idea what I’m doing after high school, and I wish I could blame the earthquake for that, but it’s all me. Also, in the spirit of honesty or whatever, remind me to tell you the truth about that earthquake thing,” he adds, bringing his thumbnail to his mouth and chewing on it anxiously.
“Sunshine, you’re, like, this beautiful ballerina with these big plans and a heart of fuckin’ gold. And if–when–you wake up, if you decide to never speak to me again, I’ll understand. I mean, I’ll be devastated because, y’know, you’re kinda my favorite person in the whole world, but I’ll get out of your way. But, please, please wake up. I can’t have you dying before you even get a chance to live out your dreams.”
Eddie stops, cocking his head slightly to watch your chest move up and down with each shallow breath. You start to sputter, and his heart lurches at the prospect of you hearing his words and waking up to them.
But the sputtering gets more violent, and one of the many machines connected to you starts to beep loudly. A swarm of nurses infiltrates the room, nudging Eddie out of the way.
“We need all visitors to leave,” one of them tells him, even though he’s clearly the only other person there.
“Is she gonna be okay?” Eddie calls out as he’s being guided out of the door. “Is something wrong?” He watches as they pull out a defibrillator, attaching the adhesives to your chest before starting it up. He wants to stay and be there for you, even if you aren’t aware of it, but the door is closed behind him.
“You can pull through, Sunshine,” he whispers. “You’ve gotta pull through.” Not many sounds reach him on the other side of the door, and Eddie isn’t sure how he feels about that as he paces back and forth. He’s hardly keeping together when he hears footsteps coming down the hall.
“Eddie?”
He lifts his head to see your mom walking towards him, a confused frown pinched on her face as she approaches. It’s the sight of her that has the impending tears welling up in his eyes.
“Eddie, what’s going on? Why’s the door closed?”
Wringing his hands in front of him, Eddie halts his pacing. His mouth opens but nothing comes out. The longer his silence drags on, the more concerned your mother looks.
“I’m not sure, really,” Eddie says. “I was in there with her then machines started beeping and they kicked me out. They brought some other machine over to her but then I couldn’t see anymore because they closed the door.”
“W-What?” Your mom looks around, seeing if there are any doctors or nurses around that can explain what’s happening to you. She almost bangs on the door but she doesn’t want to interrupt whatever they’re doing in there to help you. “What’s happening to my baby girl?”
Eddie’s eyes were misting over before, but at the heartbreaking tone of your mom, tears start to trickle down his face. He doesn’t know what to do or say. What would you do in this situation? Taking a wild guess, Eddie opens his arms to your mom, who instantly takes him up on the hug. Her head rests on his shoulder and it’s not long before he can feel her tears soaking into his shirt.  “She’ll be okay,” Eddie says. “She has to be.”

Eddie never expected to be inside your room but here he was inside the frilly, pink, plushie infested, doll like room. He felt like a creep being inside such a girlish room, he felt out of place…hell he felt out of place being next to you on your bed. You were pretty and preppy and rather popular in school, everyone mainly just put you off as the dumb and easy girl in highschool but Eddie found being your lab partner you weren’t. You were extremely intelligent and it was rather funny seeing you flip off the guys who tried to flirt.
You and Eddie weren’t friends but you weren’t enemies either you were nice to each other, helped each other out when needed so when your teacher said you were going to work on a project it didn’t seem so bad.
“Okay and so then we should probably add in…Eddie!” Eddie snapped his eyes back to you and you smiled. “Does he creep you out?” You asked, you had caught Eddie staring holes into your big brown teddy bear named JayJay. “Kinda…he’s staring into my soul” you giggled.
Eddie watched you get up your longer hair falling around your shoulders. He smiled seeing the bow resided in your hair at the back, you had a soft white skirt on and a little bit of a baggy shirt that covered the top few inches of your skirt knee high socks letting just the middle of your thighs show. You lifted the teddy bear up and spun him around so he’s facing the wall.
“Better?” You asked and Eddie chuckled “sure…why isn’t he on your bed?” He asked and your cheeks flushed “he’s just too big” you replied quickly and Eddie raised his brow at you. Your bed was huge it was like 4x the size of his maybe a little less. “What? Your bed is huge I’m sure he could-” Eddie stopped mid sentence seeing how red your cheeks were and it clicked in Eddie.
Eddie smirked a chuckle coming from his lips “oh…I see” Eddie said and you glanced up at him before looking back down at your book. Eddie shifted up from his cris-cross position to one where he was sat on his knees, he leaned forward a bit to where his head was a few inches from yours “you do dirty things with it, don’t you?” He questioned and your cheeks turned darker as you placed your hands on his chest turning your head away from him “I…I don’t know what you mean” he chuckled his hands coming up to grip your wrists.
“So you don’t do dirty things with your teddy?” You didn’t reply and he smiled bringing one of your wrists up to his lips “Hmm, you don’t rub your pretty little pussy all over him? You don’t do that?” His lips brushed your pressure point and you gasped your eyes flying to him. Your eyes trailed up your arm and up to his lips then settling on his eyes. “I’m gonna need a answer princess” you still didn’t reply opting to just stare at him instead.
“Cmon be a good girl, good girls get rewards princess. Really really good rewards” his lips moved a bit higher kissing your forearm. Eddie felt you and visibly saw you perk up “a…reward?” You asked and he nodded humming as he trialed more kisses around your arm. “What…what is it?” He smirks.
Gotcha.
“Well…if you’re really, super, completely honest with me I can maybe make those naughty little things you dream about come true,Princess” he smiles watching your eyes widen a bit “r-really?” He nods “jus’ gotta tell me the truth, sugar” you nod and he sits up his hands still holding your wrists. “Princess, you do dirty things with your bear, don’t you?” Your face flushes and you nod. Eddie could feel his jeans tightening “mmmmm, and what do you think about hmm? Think about someone you like?…like Jason or Harrington?” You slowly shake your head.
“Princess you have to be hon-” “I think about you!” You blurt out as you turn your head back away from him squeezing your eyes shut. “Oh? You think about me?” You nod “you’re so gonna be the death of me, fuck” he mutters before dropping your wrists both hands coming to cup your face and turn it to him as he kisses you.
It’s deep and rough, tongues rubbing, teeth clanking together. He pulls from your lips gently bumping his nose against yours as he softly pecked your lips. “Tastes like blueberries” you giggle quietly “yeah…my chapstick” you say partially dazed. Eddie smiles “you alright?” He asked concern filling him as you were in a daze.
“Oh god, was that your first kiss I’m so sorry I should’ve ask i- I wasn’t thinking I’m so-” “Eddie you’re fine! It wasn’t my first one calm down…” he sighed “just i…I’ve been crushing on you for so long and you just kissed me…” he nodded “yes, I did” “you kissed me” “mhm” “you kissed me” “uh…yeah?” “You kissed me” he chuckled and leaned forward dropping his lips to nip at your neck. “And now I’m gonna fuck you so, come here princess” he chuckled and jerked at your waist urging you to lay down on your back.
Eddie pushed his hands up your thigh until they hooked into your cotton panties and tugged them down. He eyed the polka-dot fabric smiling at the little white bow at the front of it. “How cute” he smirked throwing them aside “you gotta tell me if it becomes too much alrighty princess? Say pink if you want me to stop. I will.” You nodded and he shook his head “words love, I need words.” “Yes, Eddie I’ll say pink if I need you to stop” he hummed in satisfaction.
It wasn’t long before you were settled in Eddie’s lap your back to his chest as he worked his fingers inside you. Your back arched as you came for the 4th time already your thighs trembling at the soft overstimulation. “I know princess, feels so good doesn’t it?” You nodded and he leaned down kissing bruises into your neck. He slowly removed his fingers which made you squirm a bit “easy, yeah that’s it princess it’s okay” he assured and separated his fingers lines of your slick connecting them.
Your face flushed and you turned your head to hide it in his neck. He chuckled “don’t get all shy now, look at what a mess you made.” His clean hand that was around your waist tangled in your hair and tugged pulling you from his neck with a whine. “It’s rude to not clean up after yourself honey” you looked at him and then his fingers before you slowly opened your mouth and he huffed pressing his fingers into your mouth.
“Mhm, clean up your mess princess” his open hand left your hair and worked on his belt unhooking the metal and opening the button on his jeans. He pulled his now clean fingers from your mouth “good girl” he praised and pecked your cheek making you smile dreamily at him. He lifted you up flipping you to lay on your back.
“I…I don’t have any protection” you said and Eddie shrugged “it’s fine, don’t worry” you nodded. “But..but I’m not on any type of pill either” Eddie chuckled “princess, I’ve got it” you nodded once more and Eddie pushed his jeans and boxers down his legs his dick springing out. He climbed over you picking your legs up he hooked them around his waist his fingers rubbing over the soft fabric of your knee high socks.
Eddie eased his way inside you making sure he took it slowly. You winced at the slight stretch he gave you but that was all, intense pleasure filtered through and the second he bottomed out you lost it. You came once again your legs trembling as they tightened around his hips, Eddie chuckled “so sensitive…isn’t that just the cutest thing.” You shivered when he started to move it was to soon your back arched from the sensitivity you felt, it almost hurts.
“Does it hurt? Poor little baby.” His thrusts didn’t stop or slow for a second though, he was Fucking into your rough and deep he was managing to hit every good spot inside you. It had barely been 4 minutes and you were seeing stars. Your moans were getting louder and louder and he slapped a hand over your mouth “now now, your mom’s downstairs can’t have her hearing what a whore her daughter is can we?” You shook your head and he smiled devilishly. He kept his hand there muffling your sounds as his thrust got harsher and harsher, your bed was slightly rocking from the momentum of his thrusts.
The rocking caused your textbook to fall of the bed a loud thud sounding as it clattered to the ground. “Sweetie!! You alright!!?” Your mom yelled from downstairs you looked up at Eddie who removed his hand “y-yeah mom! Just….just dropped my book!!” You yelled back. “Alright! It’s getting late! Your friend should head home soon!!” You sighed your eyes rolling back into your head “o-okay!!” Your mom went silent once more and Eddie smiled.
“Oh if she only knew how good of a friend I was being right now.” You shot him a glare and he tilted his head “looking at me like that? What’s the matter? You don’t want your mom finding out you’re Fucking the towns freak?” You shook your head your hands clenching at his arm that was above your head. “Not….you’re not a freak” you managed to get out and Eddie smiled “tell me how good you feel princess, cmon I wanna hear it” you swallowed back moans.
“Feels so good….oh god it feels good….Eddie you’re fucking me so good please-please don’t stop” your eyes made their way back into your head once more. “No one can fuck you this good huh? No one else makes you feel like a good little slut?” You shook your head. “I’m better then your teddy bear aren’t I?” You nodded a moan slipping out. “Let me see you cum again, wanna feel you clench your pretty pussy on my cock.” Your body answered immediately.
You didn’t even feel your orgasm be so close but as soon as he said to your body was flying over the edge, sore muscles clenching, legs shaking, your brain completely melting. “Arms” Eddie said and you lifted them up allowing him to remove your shirt. His hands trailed over your waist and you sighed feeling the cool metal of his rings on your searing skin.
“You’re just so beautiful….the prettiest little thing I ever did see” you smiled sleepily at him. He brought his thumb to his mouth licking the pad of it you gasped feeling him press it to your clit. “Eddie!” You squealed gripping his wrist as you shook your head. “No…please don’t make me….it hurts” he just chuckled “Awh baby I know,I know it does but you’re a big girl you can handle it” you couldn’t stop the feeling from bubbling up as he rubbed your clit. “Eddie..Eddie please!” He shook his head “you can give me one more. Be a good slut and cum for me, know you can.” You shook your head at him.
Your body was clenching as it got closer and closer “Eddie it’s too much…oh….oh god” your head hit your pillow as your back arched upwards another orgasm flying through you. “Oh fuck-” Eddie was quick to pull out jerking his cock a few times before he spilled out onto your chest and stomach. “Shit..” he sighed as the last few ropes hit your skin you were still trembling from the overstimulation your body incredibly sensitive.
Eddie tilted his head to the side scanning your room for a towel but it fell on the Polaroid camera on your desk. It was pink and had small hello kitty stickers on it he smirked and climbed up walking over and picking it up. You were out of it you didn’t even pick up he left until you saw the flash as he snapped a picture of you. You looked over at him and furrowed your brows he smiled as he shook the photo in his hand “for later of course” your cheeks flushed once again and you looked away from him.
“You’re just the cutest thing, it’s so easy to make you blush” his words were only making it worse as he sat your camera back down he fixed himself back into his jeans. The picture finally faded into view and he smirked sticking it into his pocket. He finally saw a towel hanging on your door and walked to grab it using it to wipe you up. His hand cupped your cheek and he kissed you once more softly and slow this time “you’re so good…” you smiled at him.
Eddie helped get you dressed and cleaned up before he left to head back home for the night, when he landed on his squeaky bed he pulled the picture of you from his pocket smiling at it. Something about seeing you covered in his cum wearing nothing but a bra, a skirt, and socks just made him feel the tinniest bit of guilt. He felt too good to care much though he felt good knowing he had done that to you, corrupted you in a way. He was sure it wouldn’t be the last time either.
Oh was he right about that.
It was like he had flipped something inside you that made it impossible to not touch him, anytime you saw each other rather it was you or Eddie that started it you’d end up fucking. In school bathrooms, empty classrooms, his van, that random spot in the woods he’s always at,his house, your house. It just didn’t matter to either of you where you were.
You were overly thankful your mom had to work late because Eddie had you bent over the island in your kitchen Fucking into you from behind. You were moaning loudly but it only got louder as it bounced off the tile in the room. Eddie chuckled from behind you “you know, a lot of people say ‘eat the rich’ I kinda prefer fucking them” you smiled at the comment your mouth dropping into a ‘o’ shape as he pounded into your sweet spot.
His hands gripped at your hips thumbing over the bare skin of your back as he pounded into you. As always he was making you see stars in just a matter of minutes your head lolling back as you let out moans of his name over and over like a fucking prayer. “Listen to you, fucking hell…you sound like a angel princess” you giggled dizzily and he smiled “make me feel so good, baby” he moaned out “feels good too.” You babbled as Eddie’s hips got faster and frantic erratic almost.
“Shit- I’m gonna cum” his fingers wrapped around working your clit wanting you to finish before him. It was working to just a few seconds later you screamed out his name as your clenched down and he pulled out splashing his spend on your back. You felt it fall down dripping off your sides and into the floor below you. He was still recovering panting as his one hand rested on your hip the other still wrapped around his now limp cock.
“What time is it?” You asked and Eddie glanced at the clock “4, why?” You smiled and wiggled your butt at him “my parents won’t be home till 7, wanna go again?” Eddie groaned and tilted his head back he grabbed the closet towel he could find and wiped himself clean before wiping your back clean. He flipped you around and lifted you onto the marble countertop of your island. You immediately laid back spreading your legs for him as he pulled you to the edge. “I’m gonna fuck you nice and dumb princess.” You smiled and wrapped your arms around his neck and he pressed inside you.
You shivered a bit still slightly sensitive from your previous round. Eddie stood back up your hands falling down to his clothed biceps as his hips began snapping into yours. “Fucking slut, letting me fuck you across your kitchen counter? What a messy little bitch in heat” you whined and Eddie chuckled. Eddie found out quickly that you liked it rough and mean and you wanted him to be mean to you, to use and abuse you in anyway he saw fit.
“Tell me you’re a messy bitch, cmon say it. Tell me what you are” you moaned out “I’m Eddie’s little messy bitch.” He hummed and nodded “yeah you are. You belong to me only I can fuck you like this” you nodded “only you! I belong to you!!” Eddie groaned as he fucked into you faster. “That’s my good girl, tell me what I like to hear” you smiled and leaned up enough to pepper kisses along his exposed neck.
He groaned out “mhm, go ahead princess mark what’s yours” and you did. Leaving purple and pink marks and bites all over his collarbone and neck. You pulled away laying back against the cool surface of your counter. Eddie slammed into you while his hands jerked your hips into him creating the perfect thrusts. Your eyes rolled back as your wrapped your legs tightly around his waist “fuck me so good..” you whined out and Eddie smiled “harder Eddie, fuck me harder!” He obliged. His hands left your hips and grabbed a hold of your wrists holding both your arms stretched downwards towards him and he fucked up into you, using your arms for leverage.
You moaned out giggling at the echo “cumming!” You whined out as you clenched around Eddie, he once again pulled out his spend covering your front this time instead of your back “fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” Eddie repeated the curse as he came harder this time more spend covering your stomach and dripping onto your counter. You smiled and swirled your fingers in it sucking them clean Eddie growled at you “you’re trying to kill me.” You shrugged and he smiled.

I wasn't actually going to write any follow up to The Morning After but I hate watching shoot outs and so started fucking around on my computer and now there's 500 more words, and I think they're a bit more optimistic than I originally intended.
@flowercrowngods I seem to recall you asking about potential follow up for this one.
“Harrington, what the fuck do you think you’re doing?”
Steve had no idea what Munson was talking about. He didn’t even know the guy. Not any more than everyone in the school knew Munson, at least.
“Going home?” He hadn’t meant it to be a question, but it came out as one anyway. Stone-faced, Munson shook his head. He grabbed Steve’s arm and dragged him roughly from the empty hallway into an empty room. Closed the door behind them and pushed Steve against it.
“Try again,” Munson growled. His breath smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. His clothes, too, but with a hint of sweat and stale beer. It was nice. Familiar. Steve closed his eyes and took a deeper breath.
Felt Munson lean in closer, fingers wrapped around Steve’s arms, squeezing.
It hurt.
Steve felt himself relax into the pain, shift ever so slightly forward, and catch Munson’s lips against his own. Felt the pressure shift from a threat to a kiss.
A familiar kiss.
Steve opened his eyes when Munson stopped, pulled away, stared at him with shock.
“We’ve done that before.” Steve had meant it to be a question, but it didn’t sound like one. Eddie answered him anyway.
“Heather’s party. Week and a half ago. You really don’t remember?” Steve didn’t remember going to that party. He did remember forgetting that party, which was better than nothing. “Shit, you didn’t seem that drunk.”
“I wasn’t.” Not according to Heather. He’d checked with her to see if he needed to apologize to anyone, or pay for dry cleaning, and she said he’d barely drunk anything. He waved a hand at the fading green bruise on his face. “Head injury. Fucks with my memory sometimes.”
“Huh. So you weren’t just…” Eddie made some weird flailing gestures with his hands. “Letting me work myself into a panic before you murdered me?”
“Murdered you? For a kiss?” Eddie froze like a deer in headlights. “It wasn’t just a kiss, was it?”
“Not here. Not at school.” Eddie was right. Too many doors. Too many kids leaving clubs who might hear them talking. “My place? My uncle works nights; he’ll be gone by seven.”
“I can do that.” If his parents asked, he’d tell them he was meeting Carol to study. He didn’t think they’d ask.
“Assuming you don’t forget me again,” Eddie said, with a smile. Steve smiled back. It was kind of funny. “Wait, you were just at basketball practice. Are you playing contact sports with a broken head?”
“Basketball isn’t a contact sport.” And Steve couldn’t just quit on the team. “Coach said it was fine as long as I wasn’t, like, puking from the headaches.”
“Oh, I guess as long as you’re not puking.” Eddie rolled his eyes. “Fucking jocks. I used to have better taste.”
“I’m the best you’ll ever taste, Munson.” The meaning of his words hit Steve like a truck. “I mean-”
“Seven,” Eddie interrupted him. “Forest Hills, at seven, or I’ll call your house and you’ll have to explain to your parents why The Freak needs you to come over.”
“Yeah, yeah. Don’t worry, I’ll show.” They probably wouldn’t be home, anyway.
Note: Basketball is actually a contact sport, Steve's just being dumb. Athletes really did play through concussions in the 80s, even really bad ones.

Lucas's arc seemed like he deserved to be put in his place and recognize that he was wrong for believing he could hope for better? And they did not even focus in his character that much. Most people say Mike has a spectacular forced conformity storyline waiting for s5 when we had a forced conformity storyline for Lucas but it was so sloppily written. I thought the forced conformity narrative is suppposed to be written good in any case for poc too, not just for your white character that you send a message with.
it feels like the duffers just don’t care enough to convey a cohesive message for lucas’ arc and/or don’t know how because on the one hand they’ve acknowledged several times the racism he faces both on and outside the show so they can’t even play dumb and yet they then constantly downplay what he goes through and so you end up with scenes like the end of s4 where he basically learns to know his place or whatever like..lucas is not in same boat as someone like mike who’s mainly bullied for being a nerd. he’s ostracized in a way that mike and dustin will literally never understand but the show almost never makes any attempt to show how he deals with that yet it’s explicitly talked about in an official book from his perspective (and i know lucas on the line is not technically canon but it’s still tied to netflix/st and if they had someone in the writer’s room who could’ve incorporated even part of the type of material from the book into the show i think it would’ve done wonders to flesh out his story) like i’m sorry if you’re gonna acknowledge that his situation is different than the rest of the party’s then you need to put more care into following through with that because the whole “i thought i wanted to be like you—popular, normal” scene was just..it felt like they were insinuating his main reason for joining basketball was just to be cool when we know it’s a lot more complex than that; he was trying to protect not only himself but his friends too even though they don’t face the same shit he does. and possibly even enjoy something new in the process god forbid. and you would think that he was ditching his friends and other interests for the basketball team when that’s not what happened at all? like he never started acting aloof with them or ignoring them, he was still very much in hellfire and he never turned his back on them he even used his status on the team to lure them away from where eddie was hiding even though everyone was saying he killed chrissy and lucas didn’t know what was going on yet. he never let his desire to fit in turn him into someone unrecognizable who needed to be taught a lesson and that’s why it pisses me off so bad that he was made to feel this deep regret in the end as if he made some huge mistake that he learned from because in reality he’s never been anything short of a loyal friend or strayed from his morals. and to top it all off mike and dustin get off the hook without having reflect on how they hurt lucas because apparently you should never support your friends unless you fully understand and agree with the things they want 👍🏼 idk.
i also think his conflicting feelings about helping his (ex) girlfriend deal with her grief for her canonically racist brother who traumatized and literally almost killed him would’ve been really interesting and important to explore especially since that most likely relates to the reasons he started feeling like it was urgent to fit in more in the first place but. none of that because this boy’s feelings are never taken into account
i also think everyone should read all of this

Dustin's really going through it
Read on AO3. Inspired by this tumblr post.
It is an ordinary Friday like any other. The party is once again gathered in the Wheeler’s basement. They’re just having a normal sleepover not playing DND so even Max has elected to join them. They have a pile of snacks and soft drinks, they’ve picked out some movies to watch later and right now they’ve given in to stereotype and are playing truth or dare.
So far Max has admitted to shoplifting (multiple times) (with very little shame), Will has demonstrated that he can do a handstand but only hold it for about 20 seconds, Lucas has been forced to chug a shaken bottle of coke and spent a tense fifteen minutes doing his best not to throw up and Dustin has confessed that he once destroyed a sweater his mom bought him and blamed it on Mews just so she couldn’t force him to ever wear him to wear it again.
Dustin spins the bottle and watches it slow down to land on Mike. He dramatically pretends to contemplate his choices for a moment before turning towards Mike and asking with a sly grin: “What is the most embarrassing crush you’ve ever had?”
Mike sputters angrily.
“None of your business!”
Dustin immediately shoots back with: “Actually we’re playing truth or dare so right now it is very much our business.”
“Shut up, I’m not telling you guys!”
“Come on dude, you forced me to show you pictures of the sweater! Fair’s fair!”
Will tries to goad Mike into telling them.
“Come on, Mike, it can’t be that bad?”
Max snorts and says: “Or at least not worse than Dustin in that puke coloured sweater.”
“Just rip off the bandaid and tell us already!”
“It’s Steve! It’s Steve, alright?” Mike finally exclaims. Immediately after that he slamms his face into his hands.
A moment of shocked silence follows.
And then Max starts laughing.
Seeing as Mike is clearly mortified, El leans over to pat him on his back.
“Steve is very handsome. And he is nice. I do not think he is an embarrassing boy to crush on,” she said.
Lucas decides to also try and reassure his friend.
“I mean, if I wasn’t dating Max and if I liked guys, I would probably also have a crush on Steve. He’s just like the whole package - he's athletic and charismatic and super supportive and a good listener, you know?”
Now Max, still laughing under her breath, adds: “Not just charismatic and nice, he’s hot! Have you seen him shirtless at the pool?”
Will, who so far had been struck speechless, turns entirely red in the face as he shyly nods and says: “I personally like watching when he plays basketball with Lucas.”
Mike looks like he feels a bit better and even dares to peek at the rest of the room through his fingers.
“For real?”
Lucas nods enthusiastically.
“Yeah dude, Steve’s a nice guy. Half the school probably has a crush on him.”
Mike isn’t hiding his face anymore but Dustin seems disturbed by the entire conversation.
“Nononono, fucking ew!Steve isn’t… hot. He’s a fucking doofus and a dork!”
They’re all laughing at Dustin’s distressed face now.
“You’re just mad your friends like your “older brother”,” Max chimes up.
Mike is confident enough by now to speak.
“Now you know how I felt when you were crushing on Nancy!”
After that all of Dustin’s protests are ignored as the group trades stories of Steve as well as their other crushes. Meanwhile Dustin tries to smother himself with a pillow and does his best to tune the whole conversation out.
Dustin doesn’t even give Eddie the chance to get out of the car and wave before he’s already throwing his bag in the back, sitting in and slamming the door closed.
“Soo… going out on a limb here, I’m guessing the sleepover didn’t go well?” Eddie says backing out of the Wheeler’s driveway.
“No! It didn’t! They all spent the whole evening basically gossiping and talking about some… dumb shit! We never even got to watching “Highlander”! It's new enough that it's still under the two day rental policy! And Steve said he’s not going to waive any more of my late fees! So I guess I’m going to have to drop this off today too. And when Steve asks ‘Oh Dustin, how was the movie? Were the swordfights as awesome as they looked on the box?’ I’m going to have to say ‘Well Steve, I never actually got to find out!’”
Dustin grosses his arms with a huff and glares out the window.
“That sucks dude. Did you tell them you wanted to watch the movie?”
“Yes! But apparently Mrs. Flemings is right when she complains that teens these days have no appreciation for art and culture!”
Eddie glances at Dustin sitting sullenly in the passenger seat and offers with a wink: “How about this? I’ll drive us to Family Video, rent the movie under my account after you’ve returned it and then we can hang out at my pace and watch it together. Then tomorrow you can tell the others how cool it was and what they were all missing out on by ignoring you.”
Dustin immediately brightens up.
“Really? Thanks, Eddie, you’re the best!”
“And hey, if we’re hanging out all day anyway, you might as well pick out another movie to watch as well. I don’t know about you but I don’t have any other plans for today.”
Dustin rushes to browse the shelves and pick a second movie while Eddie waits at the counter with the “Highlander” tape.
He personally prefers sci-fi above all but he knows Eddie likes horror movies, so it might be nice to go with something Eddie liked as a gesture of appreciation. He considers his options for a while. Finally, “Star Trek” is put back on the shelf and Dustin turns towards the counter with the “Shining”.
And then he stops.
Steve is leaning on his forearms against the counter.
Eddie is leaning forward as well, a strand of hair pulled in front of his face.
The two of them and Christopher Lambert staring up at them from the VHS case form a little triangle. They seem utterly oblivious to the rest of the world.
Eddie is definitely blushing.
Dustin takes a deep breath.
Steve and Eddie are reminded real quick that they are not alone in the universe when he starts yelling.

Dustin Henderson was not, or would ever be, a cool guy. If anything he was a certified dork, but oh well. He knew that, and he had accepted it. It used to bother him a lot more, being aware that he would never be a part of the popular crowd. He was too weird, his interests too niche. Not to mention his condition. That had been a bitch to deal with, physically and socially.
But the thing was, despite his own uncool factor, he had the coolest older friends. Like, ever. There was Steve, who somehow managed to give him girl advice that worked, despite the fact he’d never been with one. Girl advice that definitely helped him land the best, prettiest, and smartest girlfriend in existence.
And then there was Eddie, the coolest Dungeon Master to ever exist. Something that Dustin didn’t even feel guilty saying, not when Mike was his biggest fan. He was insanely creative. And he was also in a freaking metal band? And let him and all of his nerd friends come to one of his shows at the Hideout? He was also like, one of the most avid readers that Dustin had ever met, whether that be through fantasy or history books. And he knew like a shit ton about politics, even if it was only to have stuff to back up all of his anti-establishment ideals. He was so freaking smart, maybe not in like, science or math and all of the stuff Dustin was good at, but everything else? Genius, or at least in Dustin’s opinion. Maybe not necessarily his level of genius, but he was still up there.
Which begged the question, why the hell did a guy like that have to redo his senior year? Especially since Steve had managed to graduate.
Dustin loved Steve, he did. And in no way did he think that he was dumb. He was just smart in different ways, like having great instincts and kinetic skills. Well… he did do stupid shit but like, in a smart way? Maybe? Dustin wasn’t quite sure how to categorize his favorite weirdo. But one thing was for sure: if Steve could do it, why couldn’t Eddie?
He doesn’t ask right away. He’d become a little bit more self-aware over the years, and he knew waltzing right up to him and asking, Hey, if you aren’t stupid then why can’t you finish highschool? was not a good idea. But he does wait for an opportunity. Because Dustin is Dustin and works in almost all accelerated classes, he actually managed to share two of them with Eddie. And it’s not until he forces Eddie to be his lab partner in Chemistry when he starts to get it.
It’s not that he’s stupid, he just literally can not pay attention.
“Dude, come on!” Dustin groaned, head in his hands in front of his open textbook, “How are you not getting this?”
He could fucking hear the ghost voice of Steve in his head, bitching at him for his tone, but this was just to frustrating. And Eddie’s nonchalant attitude wasn’t helping things.
Eddie shrugged, too busy spinning his keys on his finger instead of actually reading what was in front of him, "Told you you didn't want me as a partner."
Dustin could feel his eye twitch and if Steve wasn’t in the other room, he probably would be yelling in frustration at this point. But the last thing he needed was to end up under Steve’s armpit for a well-deserved noogie.
“I just don’t get what the problem is!” Dustin groaned, “Like I know you’re not stupid, so why are you acting like it?”
Eddie glared at him, feet propped up on the table, “Rude.”
“Well it’s true!” Dustin hissed, “Seriously dude, what the hell is the problem?”
Eddie sighed, rubbing a hand over his face, “It’s not that I can’t understand. I just… can’t make myself care.”
That was weird. Dustin cocked his head at him, confused, “What does that mean?”
“Like…” Eddie tried, struggling for the words, “It doesn’t grab me? I don’t know, but I can read a paragraph and have none of it stick, no matter how many times I go over it. And you’re right. I’m not stupid, But if I’m not interested it’s like… my brain stops working. I don’t know how else to explain it.”
That… actually made more sense than Dustin had been expecting. He was pretty damn sure he could work with that, “So we just need to find a way to make it interesting to you right?”
Eddie raised a brow at him, “I guess?”
Yeah, he could definitely work with that. He sent Eddie to the other room, to do God knows what with Steve before getting to work. It was kind of a big project to randomly take on during the middle of a Sunday, but he managed. He might not have been as good an artist as Will, but he could at least add a decorative flair to it.
Three hours later and two check-ins from Steve and he was done. He nearly skipped to the living room, too excited to even roll his eyes at the way both of them were shamelessly tangled on the couch together.
He skidded to a stop in front of them, proudly displaying his newly titled notebook, “Tada! The world’s first Dungeons and Dragons themed study guide!”
Was that a nerdy thing to say? Maybe, but Dustin didn’t care. He was proud of this one.
Eddie sat up, wide-eyed as he plucked it from Dustin’s hands while he explained what was inside, “So I set it up with a guide to translate real world chemicals to potions in the game right? And then the formulas are written here but the problems are all worded like you’re trying to do alchemy in the game. And here….”
He explained the whole thing, his smile growing as Eddie got more and more excited. Steve looked… happy for them? Even if he was slightly judging, just a little bit. But there were some things that jocks would just never understand.
Besides, it did work. And it worked pretty damn well in Dustin’s opinion. He was the only one that Eddie even let try to tutor him, because he was the only one who actually understood his problem, despite how clearly Eddie was able to put it.
It definitely made him feel special, because he was special. Eddie even said so, beyond grateful that he found himself able to pay attention to his hard subjects for the first time in… ever. It was the least he could do. Especially since he was dealing with what was probably the only school year in his life to have zero bullies. And he knew it wasn’t because everyone in highschool was magically more mature. He’d walked in on an insane amount of swirlies and heard too many insults hurled at other kids to think otherwise. But luckily enough for him, people just… stayed clear of Eddie. Like he was actually scary or something. And… okay. Maybe he was a little. But only when he was like, insanely angry. Like rabid-dog angry, but that wasn’t an everyday thing. Though that didn’t stop everyone else from avoiding Eddie and most of his friends like the plague.
But Dustin was lucky enough to fit in a little better, which was good for all of the extracurricular shit he had to do with random people. It helped that he was friends with Lucas, who was bordering on the edge of just being completely normal, the traitor. And getting rides to-and-from school from Steve himself was also a major plus. It wasn’t like the equivalent to having a car, but it was close enough. And a surprising amount of girls were silly enough to think they could have a chance with him. Which was kind of insane, considering how he really never tried.
Dustin considered the world lucky that Steve turned out to be gay. Otherwise he’d be too powerful. How would anyone else have a chance?
And weirdly enough, the random crushes actually worked in Dustin’s favor. At least when it came to random project partners and tiny club elections, but still. It was nice to have friends that were so cool. Cool enough to make Dustin not feel like a weirdo among his other peers for the first time in his life, while not having to change a single thing about himself.
It was nice. Really, really nice. So yes, Dustin Henderson was a dork. But now he was a dork with an edge.

We Love Steve Part 2
Steve got up shortly after Eddie left. And would have sneaked away if it wasn’t for the message on the door.
“Gone to Hellfire Club, be back later. I know you. Don’t you dare leave until I get back. I’m serious. I will hunt you down.
-Eds” With a little doodle of a devil sticking his tongue out.
He let out a little laugh. He had to admit that maybe Eddie did love him. He had been so shocked by the confession...Steve was so sure that it had slipped out accidentally. But Eddie had meant it.
And he loved Eddie, loved being with him, he made the buzzing in his head distant. Almost quiet.
He was wondering if he should go back to the sofa or go lay on Eddie’s bed when the door opened to reveal Eddie coming back.
Steve blinked. “Eddie?”
Eddie flashed him a smile. “You weren’t thinking about going anywhere, were you, big boy?”
Steve blushed and shook his head, holding up the note. “I know better than to disobey my boyfriend.”
Eddie’s face lit up and a small smile found its way to his features. “Good.”
“I was just trying to decide, sofa or bed,” Steve said softly.
“Bed,” Eddie decided immediately. “We both need rest after the night we had.”
As they lay there comfortably, Steve in Eddie’s arms, he murmured. “I’m sorry I ruined your guys’s game.”
“It’s okay,” Eddie said. “I’ll make it up to them next Saturday. I just couldn’t concentrate knowing you were here by yourself.”
Steve kissed his cheek. “Thanks.”
Eddie kissed his lips and Steve melted.
Eddie caressed Steve’s hair until the boy had fallen asleep.
*
Max waited until everyone was settled before she spoke.
“Right, here’s the detz,” she said. “Steve thinks that he stops giving us rides to basketball or to the movies, or anything like that, we’ll stop calling him.” There were a lot murmurs, but she held up her hand. “Just wait, it gets worse.”
“Worse?” Dustin croaked.
“He also thinks that if he stops letting us have parties at his place, we’ll stop calling,” Max continued. “And then there’s the real kicker. The one that upset Eddie so much that he couldn’t concentrate.”
“Must be bad,” Lucas said. And everyone nodded.
Max pursed her lips. She wasn’t exactly sure how to say it. “Steve thinks he’s too stupid for us to want to hang out with him and that we wouldn’t if he hadn’t saved our lives.”
The room was dead silent for the longest moment in Max’s entire life, before the room exploded in protests.
She let them go on for a bit before she calmed them down.
“But none of that’s true,” Dustin said, tearing up.
Will shook his head. “When was the last time we had a party that wasn’t at Steve’s?”
Everyone looked at each other, begging for someone to say something that was at least recent. But no one could come up with anything.
“Or when was the last time we invited Steve out to movie or to go to the mall and didn’t make him drive?” Max asked.
“But he has the biggest car, next to Eddie’s van,” Mike complained.
“So?” Lucas asked. “You’re parents have a pretty big car, Nancy could drive us. But we never ask, because we assume Steve will just agree to it.”
Mike looked down, disgruntled.
“Everyone calls him stupid or dumb, but is he really?” Erica asked.
Again they all fell silent.
“He’s really good at tactics,” Dustin murmured.
“He figured out the song at the mall,” Erica mentioned.
“And then there’s how many times he’s hit his head,” Will said softly. “That’s bound to have caused problems.”
“All the times he’s protected us,” Dustin agreed.
“So are we all in agreement not to call Steve stupid, just because he isn’t book smart?” Max asked.
Everyone nodded.
“But what about the rest of it?” Lucas asked. “We have to do something nice for Steve, show him that we do care. Because Eddie’s right. He does so much for us, but what do we do for Steve?”
“When’s his birthday?” Erica asked.
Everyone looked around.
“No one knows when his birthday is?” Max asked incredulous. “Not even you, Dustin?”
Dustin shook his head. “I’ve never really thought about it.”
“Nancy might know,” Mike muttered. “I’ll go ask.” He got up and went upstairs.
“This is a bad start,” Will said. “If we don’t even know when his birthday is. He knows all of ours.”
Mike came down the stairs a few moments later. “No go, guys. Nance doesn’t know either.”
They all stared at him in shock.
“Would Robin know?” Lucas asked. He was starting to get desperate now.
Max shook her head. “I doubt it.”
“Shit.”
It didn’t matter who said it, only that everyone agreed.
“Eddie?” Dustin asked, raising his head. “Cause even if he doesn’t know, it wouldn’t be weird for him to ask.”
Max nodded. “I know Steve works tonight, so I’ll head over to Eddie’s and let him know the plan. And if it’s already past, then we’ll just throw a surprise party for him anyway. We don’t need a reason. But his birthday would be a good excuse.”
“I’ll ask my mom if we can have it here,” Mike said from the bottom of the stairs.
Everyone nodded.
“Maybe we can get Gareth and Jeff in on it,” Erica suggested. “Have it be after a D&D session. Invite Robin and Nancy, maybe Jonathan and Argyle too. So that when Steve comes to get Dustin and Will we can surprise him.”
“El, too,” Mike added. Erica nodded.
“And they can park at our house,” Lucas added. “We’re just around the corner, everyone can walk over so Steve isn’t spooked by all the cars.”
“Looks like we have a plan,” Dustin said.
“Now all we need is a date,” Max said.
*
Eddie and Steve were lying in bed that night, cuddled up together.
“I’m still sorry about ruining your game yesterday,” Steve said. He had come over after work and had flopped face first onto Eddie’s bed, completely exhausted.
“Don’t be,” Eddie said. “You have been holding that inside you for so long, it was only a matter of time before it exploded. I’m just glad it was at me and not one of the kids or Robin wouldn’t have been able to handle it.”
Steve just buried his head further into Eddie’s shoulder.
“Red stopped by, they’re all really worried about you,” Eddie continued.
“I never intended to be a burden,” Steve murmured.
Eddie twisted his body so he could look Steve in the eye. “You aren’t. What you are is too stubborn to ask for help and let me tell you as a former member of that club, it’s shitty place to be.”
Steve sighed. “I’ll try to ask for help more often. I’m just so used to not having anyone around to lean on.”
Eddie knew that the Harringtons were never home, he just never realized how badly it had warped Steve.
“Well you have me now, darling,” Eddie said softly, kissing the top of Steve’s head. He paused. “You know what I just realized, I don’t know when your birthday is.”
Steve groaned. “No one does.”
That brought Eddie up short. “Wait, no one? As in none of your friends in the history of ever, no former girlfriends, none of the kids know? Not even Dustin?”
Steve just shook his head.
“Why?”
“It’s on a holiday.”
Eddie frowned as he tried to figure it out. “Let’s see. It’s not one of the holidays that are different every year, because then it wouldn’t matter most of the time. It’s not Christmas, you love Christmas.” He tapped his finger on his lips.
“Oh I know!” he said excitedly.
“Don’t say it,” Steve murmured.
“It’s Halloween!”
Steve got up and drew his knees to his chest. Eddie forced himself to sit up too.
“That’s why you hate Halloween. It’s not because it’s spooky or whatever it’s because it’s not an ‘appropriate Harrington birthday’, is it?”
“Yeah.” Steve buried his head in his arms.
“Well it’s a good thing you have a boyfriend that loves Halloween and can make it extra special for you,” Eddie said with a grin.
“You don’t have to,” Steve murmured to his knees.
“We’ll just have to see about that...” Eddie said. And tackled Steve back to the bed tickling him until Steve begged for mercy.

Summary: Eddie is frustrated because he can’t find his hellfire shirt for the club and he blows up at you when you try to help causing tension that turns into a sweet confession.
Involves: verbally fighting, cussing, angst then romance and fluff
—🔥—🔥 —🔥—🔥 —🔥—🔥 —🔥—🔥 —🔥—🔥
It was a normal Tuesday night, one where you sat in Eddie’s bed reading one of his ferocious comics while he prepped for the hellfire club that was held at his trailer. It wasn’t the most ideal place but during the summer, it’s not like they could hold it during school and they didn’t want to get behind on the game. Lord, that would be a nightmare and not just for them.
You were just flipping the page to start the next part of the comic when you heard Eddie yell out. “Fuck! Where is it!?” You placed the comic on the bed, pages down to hold your place and called out to him in the living room. “You okay Ed’s?” He groaned and burst into the room, slightly startling you. He seemed on edge and it concerned you considering he was typically calm about stuff.
“No I’m not okay. My club is in 1 hour and I can’t find my fucking shirt. Will you get up so I can look in the bed?” You furrowed your eyebrows. “I don’t think it’s gonna be-“ you stopped short when he glared at you and you pursed your lips and stood up. He flipped the covers up and around everywhere but still the shirt was missing. The comic fell to the floor from all the tossing of the blankets and he let out a string of curse words. “Okay okay. Hey we’re gonna find it. Just retrace your steps baby.” He scoffed and looked at you, the look of ‘are you dumb’ etched across his face. “No really? You don’t think I’ve tried that?”
You took a deep breath to calm yourself knowing he was just projecting his frustration. “Okay you don’t have to be an ass. I’m just trying to help.” He threw his hands up and let them fall, hitting his legs with a smack sound. “If you want to help, start looking please. I don’t want to talk. I want to find the damn shirt. You telling me it’s gonna be okay doesn’t help me find out where it is.”
You rolled your eyes but didn’t say another word as you started looking. You knew he would apologize as soon as he found it but it still wasn’t okay and that would for sure be a conversation they would have. You lifted up thrown clothes and objects but found nothing. You knew it was here though because you had just washed it not too long ago and you were the only reason this place was organized.
You made him wash his clothes frequently because he tended to wear the same clothes on a daily basis and it grossed you out. The only reason the shirt would be gone is if Eddie moved out looking for another article of clothing because you always kept it in the same place knowing he had his clubs.
“I just washed the shirt not too long ago. Have you checked drawers?” His eyes shot up and a look of anger crossed his features. “Why do you never tell me when you wash my clothes? You know I don’t like when you just organize shit and don’t tell me where things are…”He huffed. You raised your eyebrows, hands going on hips. “Maybe because I’m the only one who ever cleans around here. You just throw shit everywhere and wonder why you can’t find it. I always keep it in the same place Eddie. Not my fault you move shit.”
“Okay fuck you Y/N. I’m perfectly fine with how I live. No one asked you to do shit and no one wants you to. So honestly just fucking leave if you’re gonna be a bitch. Because I’m fucking done with it!” He finally snapped, his voice raising. You flinched at his words, knowing he knew how deeply words like that affected you. Your throat closed up as your tried to keep your tears in but one managed to escape. You cleared your throat and grabbed your stuff, not even bothering to look at him.
Eddie seemed to understand to the full extent of what he just said and cursed under his breath, eyes shutting tightly. He got angry when frustrated and he knew he needed to get help for but because how he acted was not okay. You were so good to him and he could be such an ass. God he was an idiot. “Wait fuck no don’t go. I didn’t mean that.”
You scoffed softly, sniffing as you wiped another tear. “I kinda think you did but it’s cool. Hope you find the shirt.” You brushed past him, avoiding eye contact. He was quick to grab you wrist and pull you back to him. “Hey hey I’m sorry Y/N. I really didn’t mean it baby girl. I know I have an anger issue and I know I get angry when frustrated and I take it out on other people and it’s fucked up. I plan to work on it and get help but it doesn’t excuse shit. I’m sorry.”
You looked up at him and shrugged. “I appreciate you apologizing but that wasn’t just you projecting or letting anger out. You called me names and told me to leave. That’s not accidental.” You bit your lip, feeling it quivering. He shook his head and gulped, the nerves working their way up inside his body. He was scared he royally fucked up. Scared you were gonna end it right there.
“I know I know. And fuck I’m so so so fucking sorry. I know it’s not accidental but I didn’t mean it. You’re not a bitch. God you could never be. You’re the sweetest woman on this planet and I don’t deserve you and I understand that. I will cancel the club tonight and do something with you to make it up. I know it’s gonna take more than an apology but please let me.” He bit his lip this time, clearly out of nervousness and you sighed, looking away.
“I don’t know…” he cupped your cheeks with his hands and turned your head so you would look him on the eye. He caressed your cheeks with his thumbs and looked down at you softly. “I love you.” You gasped softly and your breath then got caught in your throat. “W-what?” Those three words you had been dying to hear finally escaped his lips and it was like you couldn’t fully process that you were hearing it.
“I love you Y/N. I know this isn’t the most ideal situation to be expressing this right now but it’s the only way I can explain how sorry I am. Because I love you and I’m willing to prove it to you.” You let out a soft crying sound and leaned up, kissing him with zero hesitation. He immediately wrapped his arms around you, kissing you back with the same energy. His hands trailed up your backs and back down trying to feel you. You pulled back after a couple seconds and smiled. “I love you too…so much eddie.” He sighed in relief and rested his hands on your waist. “Good because I’m cancelling the club tonight and we’re gonna watch your favorite movie and get your favorite take out, on me. And when we find that stupid shirt, I’m gonna put it on your sexy ass.”
You giggled and played with the hem of his shirt. “Sounds like a plan to me.” He chuckled but then got serious again. “Seriously though Y/N. I really am sorry for how I acted and what I said. I need to work on myself and I’m ready to do that. With you by my side I hope.” You looked at him softly and nodded. “Of course I’ll be by your side baby. All I want is for you to be happy and if me being here does that, then I’m here as long as I’m welcome.”
He shook his head and a smirk came across his lips. “You speak so wise.” You laughed and held his hand. “Got it from my mom.” He kissed your head and held you in his arms, trying to remove all the tension he had created.
The rest of the night was spent watching stupid movies and eating from the local dinner. It was the perfect way to end the night and getting Eddie help for his issues were discussed and planned and you were so proud of him. He was a real one for accepting he needed the help and that was enough to keep you there. You fell asleep in his arms and all the worries left for the night.

In my head Erica becomes Steve and Eddie’s favorite child (and biggest shipper).
Eddie already loves her because she’s a pro at dnd and after that one game he was already open to inviting her to play anytime. Both of them have this playful banter from time to time which really shows Erica warming up to him despite her denying anything even close to that. Overall they enjoy each other’s company and their chemistry is unmatched. Steve automatically having a bond with her due to the whole Russian situation, he’s grown to love her just as much as the other kids. Erica would never say it out loud but one day after everything had happened she pulled Steve to the side and thanked him for protecting all of them. She has a lot of respect for the both of them because they’ve looked out for Lucas when things wasn’t looking to good and anyone who cared about him was okay in her book.
As much as we have established that Erica cares about them too she won’t shy away from telling how dumb both of them are. Immediately she notices how they look at each other like their hearts are going to explode, the way Steve’s body tenses up when Eddie’s around, how Eddie purposely leans into Steve’s space. Erica could literally feel the tension in the room whenever they where together. She couldn’t stand how they couldn’t get in their heads that they’ve fallen in love and something had to be said. Steve kept saying that Eddie wouldn’t even give him the time of day if he asked him out or Eddie would say Steve had other options so he wasn’t going to try to be one of them. Erica rolled her eyes every time she heard those words because none of it was true. While both of them are looking at each other like sad puppies and avoiding eye contact when one of them looked in the others direction Erica already made up in her mind that she’s had enough.
“Okay. I think it’s time for both of you to come clean already, this whole Romeo and Juliet bullshit is driving me insane.” Erica blurts out. Steve and Eddie looked at each other with wide eyes.
“What are you talking about?” Eddie asked.
“Yeah.” Steve chimed in.
“Jesus Christ… I’m talking about how you two like each other obviously.” Erica says without any hesitation. Steve was already on the verge of denying her claim even though she was right. Eddie started panicking he didn’t think he was that easy to read.
“Are you crazy? We don’t like each other like that, we’re just friends Erica.” Steve said firmly trying to kill this conversation as fast as possible.
“He’s right. It’s not like that.” Eddie agreed with Steve’s statement. His chest ached knowing that he wasn’t being completely honest and it was killing him.
“Last time I checked friends don’t look at each other like that.” Erica announced with a smirk on her face as the the two boys shared a confused expression.
“Like what?” They asked in unison.
“Like the way Lucas looks at Max and the way Max looks at Lucas.” Erica folded her arms while smiling because for once both of them were speechless. Steve and Eddie were blushing messes at this moment, they didn’t want to look at each other just in case they got the wrong idea but that was far from truth. They met each other’s eyes for a split second before looking at Erica in complete shock. The last thing they expected was for her to read them like books on a shelf, with a laugh coming from her she turned the other way to walk out the room, “idiots.”

Part 2
summary: You live in your car or a hotel, you sell your body to men for money, but got accidentally pregnant by the only one Alan Munson(Eddies dad). He was in jail before, for the same thing he did to you. But lucky he has a son who cares and helps you out.
warnings part 2: 18+ (all parts), sex mentioned, alcohol, reader is a female (did I miss something?)
Tumblr media
Eddie walks into the trailer, you’re in the kitchen cooking dinner so his uncle doesn’t have to do that. Eddie is home from a day at his work, he told you about his job as a tattoo artist. “What the-“ you cleaned the whole trailer up today
“what?” You chuckle.
“I’ve never seen this place so clean” he looks around.
“you like it?” You walk out of the kitchen to the living room where Eddie was.
“mhm, Come hire” You look up at Eddie looking a little confused.
“Bought this for you I don’t know if you like it tho” Eddie puts a bag down on the table and gets out a red dress. You walk over to him with a smile. “Its specially for pregnant women, but I think it’s gorgeous with the red” he shows it.
“It’s lovely besides it’s a Christmas color, thank you so much!” you take it and give him a kiss on his cheek. “Dinner is ready, can you get your uncle?”
“yeah sure, we have like two hours to get us ready after” Eddie puts the dress back in the bag and while he walks to his uncles room he puts the bag in his own. In meanwhile you put the dinner on three plates and put it on the small table. You hear Eddie talk with his uncle while you put the drinks on the table.
“he’s coming” Edie sits down and looks at his plate. “I thought you only ate bread and didn’t cook”
“well… sometimes I cook for one of the guys that I worked for” you sit down besides him.
“it smells good” Eddie grabs a beer and opens it.
“thanks” you smile grabbing a coke.
“did you do this kid?” Wayne walks over to the table looking at you.
“oh yeah, I’m really thankful for the help you guys are giving me I wanted to do something back for it” you starts eating.
“No problem” Eddie smiles.
“pretty handy having a women in home” Wayne jokes and starts eating also.
“sure it is” you giggle.
“mmmh this is good”Eddie says after taking his first bite.
“Thank you” it was silent for a couple minutes, everyone enjoying their meal.
“so you guys have a party I heard?” Wayne starts.
“yeah” Eddie nods.
“you’re not drinking, drugs or whatever.” Wayne points at you.
“Wayne.. you’re not her dad” Eddie says before you could say anything.
“it’s okay Eddie” you chuckle “he’s not wrong, and no i absolutely won’t”
“Are you gonna look for another job?” Wayne looks at you.
“uh.. I don’t really know who wants a 19 year old pregnant dumb woman” you shrug your shoulders.
“You’re not dumb, I’m sure anyone wants you” Eddie smiles. “maybe something like a coffee shop?”
“A coffee shop doesn’t sound too bad” you nod almost finishing your meal.
“Anyways, have fun at the party, I gonna do a little nap before night shift” Wayne finished.
“thank you mr Munson”
“Keep her safe Edward” Wayne gets up placing his plate in the sink.
“yeah, I will.” Eddie grabs your plate when he sees you’re finished and puts it in the sink together with his own. “Should we get a outfit?”
“Mhm” you get up and walk behind him to his room.
“Did I already say I have black heels for you?” He gets them out of the bag.
“ill pay back as soon as I can and then also buy my own clothes” you smile and hug him.
“You don’t have to, actually you can wear my clothes forever also” Eddie hugs back looking at you in his clothes.
“you have a good style, badass” you pull away from the hug.
“It suits you even better” Eddie winks while you take off your shirt (Eddie’s shirt) Eddie smiles and turns around giving you some privacy. “I’m gonna shower”
“okay can I choose ur outfit?” You take off your jeans (also Eddies).
“sure” He grabs boxers out of his closet and walks out of the bedroom. You watch him and then you grab your dress, you put it on but you couldn’t close the back. Well you’ll just ask Eddie to help you with that. You grab the pretty heels and put them on, you walk pretty much on heels especially with your work as sex worker because that was sexy. You stand up and look in his mirror. Your belly looked pretty in the dress, you turn around but you notice the prize tag sitting. “217 dollar” you whisper reading the price tag.
You can’t just take that. Eddie doesn’t even know you that well, you only been talking these four days and maybe earlier just a little bit but this is too expensive for just a present. You sigh while walking to his closet. You look through the stuff he has, actually only band shirts or some kind of hellfireshirt for his dnd club he told you about. You look though the pants first finding leather pants. You seen rockstars wearing it in music videos or in their concerts but it’s honestly pretty sexy so you choose that. As shirt you choose a Mötley crüe shirt it was short so when he makes some movements you could maybe see his happy trail or his v line.
“You got a outfit?” Eddie walks in with a towel around his waist. You nod smiling giving the outfit you choose. Eddie looks at it “you want me in this?”
“its sexy” you grin.
“You think I’m sexy?” Eddie chuckles taking the towel off. But he had already his boxers on, sadly.
“maybe” you smirk “but I can wear something else, I don’t want the dress” Eddie looks up at you in a confused way after he had put on his pants.
“but look at you…” he pushes you towards the mirror gently and he stand close behind you and places a hand on your belly. “It perfect.” He whispers.
“You think so?” You smile looking at your reflection and then at Eddies.
“you’re perfect. I’m sure everything fits you” he puts some hair behind your ear. Your heart had never beaten so fast, ofcourse you had sex yesterday but this moment was special and lovely.
“Yeah?” You stay looking at his reflection in meanwhile he puts the zipper up and looks at your reflection also.
“absolutely” Eddie nods “oh I left this on it” he takes the price tag off and you nod. “Oh…. You don’t think you’re not worth the money.?” Eddie looks at you after realizing.
“I mean.. it’s a lot..” you agree.
“But you’re like… a sister now… we live in the same house and you deserve normal clothes and absolutely to look stunning at a party” did he just say you’re a sister to him… you try to hide your disappointment. Suddenly you hear the bell ring and Eddie walks to his bed putting on his shirt.
“the boys are hire, I got your bag at my dads since he’s in jail now, you’re makeup is still in it” Eddie opens the door of his room “take your time”
“Thank you” you walks away from the mirror towards your bag. Eddie nods and walks out of his room closing the door behind him. You grab the makeup bag in your bag and walk to the mirror again. You sit infrond of it and you look around for inspiration, you find posters with half naked girls on covers of metal songs or posters. You see a pretty girl with eyeliner and Smokey eyes, you can imagine that being Eddies type and that’s exactly what you wanted to be.
besides its not the first time you do this makeup look, you think its pretty. You start with concealer putting it under your eyes and some injuries, you blend it out and then you grab your bronzer you make your cheekbones look more pretty, then you apply a eyeliner and you put some black eyeshadow on to make it a smokey eye. To finish the look you put on mascara and a red tinted lipgloss. It probably had taken you about 15 minutes but now you’re ready and your makeup fits your outfit perfectly.
You put some parfume on and you’re done, you grab the door handle waiting a moment before opening it. What if his fired won’t like you and maybe they will tease you? How do they even look like? They probably have the similar style Eddie has because they were also his bandmates. You sigh and open it, you see them waiting on the couch and some are standing and leaning against the wall all taking to eacother.
“uh hi.. I’m y/n” you smile nervously.
“hey, I’m Gareth, Drummer” a guy with dark blonde hair, blue eyes and freckles smiles.
“im Grand” A big guy with brown curls smiles, they all look nice to you. You have the two a nice smile.
“Jeff” Another guy gives you a hand, you notice his shirt because he had the same band on it as Eddie. “Nice to meet you”
“Nice to meet you too” you see Eddie staring at you and you look back at him.
“what’s wrong? Is there something on my dress.?” You look down to find something he is staring at.
“N-no no. You just look very beautiful” Eddie gets up from the couch. You blush a little with a smile.
“sorry for him he isn’t around girls so often” Gareth messes Eddies hair up.
“not my hair. God damn it Gareth.” Eddie says annoyed and pushes him.
“ey sweetheart get me another beer please” Jeff hands you a empty beer bottle.
“oki” you take it and walk into the kitchen to get another one for him.
“seriously Jeff?” Eddie snaps but you can’t hear them.
“She’s so nice, how old is she?” Jeff looks at Eddie.
“no no no. It’s Eddie’s turn if he fails it’s mine” Gareth sticks his tongue out.
“No don’t treat her like that she had enough trouble with man” Eddie looks at Gareth.
“Mate if you want her you have a free baby with it. I could never” Grant chuckles.
“Is your dad really the dad of the baby tho??” Gareth looks disgusted.
“yeah but don’t tell her i told you please” Eddie watches you coming back.
“for u” you give the beer to Jeff.
“thanks, you’re the sweetest” Jeff takes it from you immediately taking a sip, you sit down on the ground with some struggles because of your babybumb what’s extremely in the way.
“I heard they are gonna do 7 minutes in heaven, I hope that hot chick comes” Gareth grins.
“I don’t know if I’m gonna join, I mean- I’m always so unlucky with those bottles” Jeff chuckled, you have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. You missed all the things normal teens do because you never had high school or partys like this one.
“and you? Are you gonna do it?” Gareth looks at you, you look up at him a little confused.
“w-what?” You chuckle.
“7 minutes in heaven” Jeff interrupt.
“what is that?” You ask looking at them both.
“Like you spin a bottle and what person it lands on you go 7 minutes in a dark closed with.. uh in there you can do whatever you want” Eddie explains while getting up.
“you can fuck in there real good” Gareth smirks.
“I rather not, I don’t wanna fuck every guy on that party, I don’t wanna make my baby sick or whatever” you explain.
“Fair enough” Grand agrees.
“chop chop. To the van” Eddie walks over to the door. Everyone puts on their jackets and shoes. You try to get up but that was not so easy as sitting down..
“come hire princess” Eddie probably saw you struggling so he helps you getting up.
“thank you” you breath out.
“Don’t have to thank me, hire” Eddie put his leather jacket on you because you didn’t have a jacket. You smile and Eddie looks at your heels. “Those are pretty, looks good on your pretty legs” That made you blush.
“thank you” you smile gently.
“come on love birds” Gareth pulls Eddies hair and walks out.
“I’m not a love bird.” Eddie and you said on the exact same time. You look at each other and you start laughing.
“come” Eddie walks out with you and closes the door behind you, while the rest is already in the back of his van you walk over to the passengers seat.
“we had a question y/n” Grand starts.
“Then ask it” you sit down and close the door looking behind you at the boys in the backsteat.
“do you like Eddie?” Jeff smirks.
“no!” You hope it was not obvious that you were totally lying. “I mean… as a friend yeah”
“Oh you definitely do” Gareth grins.
“sssst he’s coming” Grand says when Eddie opens the door.
“our secret” Jeff chuckles.
“What?” Eddie looks behind him also.
“Nothing” you turn back “let’s drive to the party”
“alright” Eddie turns back and starts the car. The radio turns on with a sweet 80s song.
“put some metal on y/n” Jeff whines.
“What if I like this song?” You look at him raising a eyebrow.
“then your music taste is total trash” Gareth interrupts.
“fine” you turn back to the radio and you put on another song on what turns out to be crazy train by Ozzy Osborne. “better?”
“a lot” Gareth smiles.
“i like Ozzy Osborne” you smile. “I like crüe too” you point at Jeff his shirt.
“What else do you know?” Jeff raised his eye brows.
“I love Korn, but mostly uhh… Metallica orrr Guns N’ Roses ” you smile “they are hot”
“do we have a groupie hire?” Grant chuckles.
“Only a groupie for Eddie, huh?” Gareth teases.
“Gareth stop bothering her, dick” Eddie looks at him for a second.
“It’s fine Eddie” You turn back to look at the road. The guys already had a conversation with each other but you and Eddie sat in silence, until Eddie looks at you.
“do you dance?” He looks back at the road again.
“I used to strip so I might dance tonight… well not like I did in stripclubs but normal dancing ofcourse” you chuckle a little.
“oh” Eddie chuckles also “I can’t really dance”
“You have to. I can’t dance alone” you look at him with a grin.
“don’t challenge me doll” o my god. Did he just call you doll? You feel your cheeks warmen and you look down.
“what if i do?” You look up with a lil smirk.
“I’m not dancing.” Eddie looks back at you.
“Awhh doesn’t that fit in that perfect little sex drugs rock n roll life of yours?” You chuckle.
“you’ve ever seen a metalhead dance?”
“you’ll be the first one” you look at him with puppy eyes. “Pleaseee”
“Fine, but just not immediately let me drink a couple beers”
“only three” you point at him.
“I know” you drive through a street and it looked so cute with the little houses and the Christmas lights.
“Stop the car!” You shout, you see a little kid on the side of the road walking to the woods.
“Why?!” Eddie and the rest are looking at you.
“Just stop.” You said and he did finally, you open your door and walk out, it was pretty cold today and you just don’t wanna leave a kid all alone in the cold. You walk over to her with a smile.
“hey.. where are your mommy and daddy?” You kneel down by her.
“Don’ now” she looks a little scared because ofcourse just someone stepped out of a van what looks like it already took 5 kids.
“I’m y/n, I was going to a party with my friends but ofcourse I had to help you first” you smile again.
“I’m Layla” she smiles gently.
“That’s a very nice name, should we go look for your parents?” You stand up and Layla nods and takes your hand. In meanwhile Eddie walks over to you.
“What’s wrong?” Eddie looks at the kid and back at you.
“I don’t know..” you feel some more weight on your hand, she was probably tired. “Should I pick you up sweetie?” She nods and holds her arms out. You pick her up and you walk over to the sidewalk.
“House” she points to a house.
“is that your house?” You look at it.
“Yeah my house” she lays her head on your shoulder.
“you’re good with kids y/n” Eddie smiles.
“thank you” you smile at him while walking over to the house.
“baby?” She lays her hand on your belly.
“Yeah” you smile looking at her hand.
“mama too” she smiles.
“you’re getting a sibling?”
“brotha” she nods slowly.
“that’s cool” you smile at her.“let’s see if your parents are home then” you walk over to the frond door and you knock. No one opens so you knock again.
“uh… I’m going back to the van, is that okay?” Eddie lays his hand on your back.
“ofcourse” you smile and Eddie smiles back walking over to the van. Still no one opens the door so you ring the doorbell, 2 minutes later a man opens the door.
“Layla, I’m so sorry… I felt asleep when she was playing outside and my wife is out” he sighs.
“She’s fine just a little tired” you give her to her dad.
“Thank you so much” he smiles.
“No problem I’m happy I could help”
“I’m so thankful” the man looks at his daughter.
“Well, I should get going.. I’m going to a party, the people in the car are waiting” you smile gently.
“alright, have fun at the party”
“bye!” You walks off waving and the man waves back before closing the door. You make your way to the car while hearing some interesting things.
“no but seriously her moans where better then the ones in rocket queen, i swear” You hear Eddie say, you know that song, it’s from Guns N’ Roses. You stand against the van but on a place they couldn’t see you but you could still hear them.
“I can belive that” Jeff chuckles.
“Well if I where you I’ll take her, she’s perfect for you” Gareth says.
“what about the baby?”Eddie asks, now you’re 100% sure it’s about you.
“I’m sure you’ll be a great dad, slash stepdad, slash brother” Grand grins.
“maybe…” Eddie awnsers and now you finally walk over to the door and you open it. The car went silent and they look at you.
“what?” You look around while sitting down.
“Nothing” Eddie starts driving again after you closed to door.
“Alright then” you smile. You hear the song rainbow in the dark by Dio on the radio and you smile turning the volume up “fuck I love this song”
“that’s so sexy” Gareth grins.
“Shut up” you roll your eyes playfully.
“okay y/n, Kirk Hammett or Izzy Stradlin?” Grant asks.
“Uh… Kirk” you grin.
“Then Slash or Vince Neil” Jeff chuckles.
“slash ofcourse.” You laugh.
“I thought all the girls loved Vince” Jeff looks at you.
“He’s blonde man, com on now” you laugh a little. “Besides slash is so damn hot”
“Tommy or Nikki then” Eddie interrupts.
“Both at the same fucking time” you smirk.
“WOAH” Jeff laughs.
“I mean that’s probably what all the groupie wants” Gareth shrugs his shoulders.
“I’m not a groupie”
“but you would sleep with rockstars.” Eddie giggles.
“True” you nod. It was silent for a while and you guys arrive a couple minutes later, you could see it would be busy inside of the amount of cars parked in the street.
“let’s go motherfuckerssss!!” Gareth jumps out and the rest follows.
“if we can’t find each other inside just walk to the kitchen, yeah?” Eddie says before you two get out.
“Okay!” You honestly were so exited to meet some new people. You make your way into the house to the crowd of people and a guy with cool brown hair walks over to you and the rest.
“hey dudes” he smiles at Eddie and his friends then he looks at you.
“uh umh, y/n” you smile and he shakes your hand.
“steve Nice to meet you, Eddies girlfriend?” He looks at both of you.
“Oh-.. uh” You stutter.
“ohh.. no just a friend” Eddie smiles while looking at you and back Steve’s way.
“Okay then, just a couple rules, don’t fuck in my room, smoking outside please and just don’t make trouble” He smiles.
“promise” you nod.
“good” Steve nods also with a smile and with that you walk a little further. Eddie decided to be with the boys what you understand ofcourse because if he’s not working, he’s him with you he has never time alone. You stand in the kitchen looking at all the alcohol. Well there was nothing else then that, you look around looking for anyone you could ask about it. You saw a guy putting some vodka in his cup.
“hey-…uh you know if there is something else to drink?” You walk over to him. The blond guy looks up and he was pretty, blonde curly hair and blue eyes.
“what did you say?” He look annoyed by you.
“sorry to bother, but I’m pregnant you know if there is something else to drink.?” You ask again.
“Can’t tell you. Go asks Steve”
“come Billy” Another dude is talking to him, they didn’t look really nice tho.
“alright.” You sigh and turn around to bumb into a girl.
“I shouldn’t talk to him” she looks at you.
“sorry-..what? With who?” You look confused.
“Billy, he’s a player” the girl leans against the counter.
“Thanks for the warning” you smile.
“I’m Mary, nice to meet you”
“I’m y/n” you lean against the counter too.
“You came hire with those guys?” She points at Eddie and his friends.
“yep” you nod.
“aaah i see, they are nice people, little weird sometimes but so far i know nice” she shrugs her shoulders.
“yeah I know Eddie a little longer, the other I just met a couple hours ago”
“You live hire I’m Hawkins?” “long story short; my parents died when I was 12 after middle school, I didn’t do high school and I became a stripper and also a sex worker and home less” you shrug your shoulders.
“oh jesus, must have been really hard for you..”
“well when I got payed enough I gotta go to a hotel if not, I sleep in my parents car.”
“you drive the car?” She grabs a cup and puts some punch in it.
“no, it is just standing on a parking lot”
“then how you met Munson? You wok for him?”
“Oh I used to work for his dad…” you look down at the baby bumb “he got me pregnant and shot me after”
“o lord” he raises her eyebrows. “I know he’s a criminal, he steals cars and stuff, also there are rumors he killed Eddies mom”
“I know he is but anyways Eddie saved me and we actually became friends, now I live with him and his uncle since yesterday”
“so it happened not long ago?” She takes a sip of her drink.
“uhhhh about 4 days ago” you nod.
“I feel so bad for you, you gonna keep the little kiddo?”
“yes” you nod.
“oh wait.. you want something to drink?” She walks to the fridge and opens it.
“Thank you”
“I totally forgot to put other things then alcohol on the kitchen” she grabs cans of coke and fanta. You smile and take a coke.
“you live hire?” You ask opening the can.
“No Stevie is my cousin” she closes the fridge again.
“cool you must be really rich then” you smile.
“I wouldn’t say rich, maybe my parents have a good job but I live in a smaller house then this”
“I wish I had a life like you”
“it’s not always easy, I have a horse and my mom always wants me to win competitions and stuff”
“You do horse riding?”
“yep, I have a horse named Elvis, I’m a big Elvis fan” she giggles.
“Elvis is a good name, good singer too” you agree with her.
—-3 hours later ——
You and Mary talked a bit longer and after they did 7 minutes in heaven, you didn’t joint for obvious reasons and Eddie didn’t too.
“you already made a friend?” Eddie smiles sitting next to you.
“I guess, her name is Mary she’s Steves niece” you lean back on the couch.
“I wouldn’t think anyone could not like you, you’re just so kind” he smiles giving you a can of Fanta.
“you’re the sweetest” you take the can from him with a smile. “And how is your night? Fixes some girls?”
“it’s pretty fun, and no, not that I know of” Eddie chuckles.
“we are hopeless” you giggle too.
“I saw you talking to Billy in the begin?”
“he was mean” you roll your eyes.
“He has a big ego” Eddie nods.
“Pretty guy tho, not a hundred percent my tipe, I prefer the ones with dark hair”
“I figured in the car” Eddie smiles.
“what about you? What’s ur type?” You look up at him. You’re sure no one is listening to the conversation you have, all too drunk dancing around and Jeff even fixed a girl.
“hmmm, I like blue eyes and I like when girls paint their hair red or blue or anything” Eddie looks at you.
“Yes I know what you mean that’s cool, when I was younger I always wanted red hair but I never had the money for it obviously” you smile.
“is this your real hair color?” Eddie plays with your hair.
“yes my parents had both black hair” you nod.
“Black hair and grey eyes…” Eddie smiles looking at you “you don’t see that much often”
“I don’t know what I think of it”
“I think you’re a gorgeous woman, if the kid is lucky they look like you” Eddie flirts.
“well I think you had more then three beer” you smirk a little.
“I had a little more” he smiles drunkenly.
“you can drive right..?” You yawn.
“yes don’t worry i drive even better then when im sober”
“I don’t know if I belive that but I guess I’ll see” you chuckle.
“come on y/n” Mary takes your hand “let’s dance”
“yes go dance” Eddie smiles.
“I’m tired”
“don’t lie” Mary giggles “comeee”
“okay okay” you smile getting up and walking to the dancing crowd of people. bad medicine by Bon Jovi was on, luckily you like this song and you started dancing with Mary. You look around seeing some girls smile at Mary, she’s pretty popular you can tell.
In meanwhile the song changed into Cheri Cheri lady. You liked this song, it came out a couple years ago but it was a vibe. You knew it was already late, must be around 12 pm. It’s not even that late but it is for you, you were tired probably because of your pregnancy.
“Let me get a drink for you” Mary smiles and rubs into the kitchen. Now you’re dancing awkwardly alone. Not for long tho it didn’t take long before a boy joined you, he was tall, he hand brown hair and green eyes. You smile at him and continue dancing.
“what’s your name sweetheart?”
“y/n, yours?” You talk loud for him to hear you because of the loud music.
“mason” he gives a sweet smile, you smile back while Mary walks back.
“back off I was dancing with her Mason” Mary hand your drink and looks at mason.
“sorry missy” he rolls his eyes and walks away.
“What’s wrong with him?” You look at Mary.
“ex” she chuckles.
“Sorry I didn’t know” you giggle.
“but if you’re into him i can call him back?”
“no no it’s fine, he’s handsome but anyone else can have him” you smile taking a sip of your drink.
“You have a crush?” She raises her eyebrows.
“no!” You said that too fast.
“oh you definitely do” she laugh. “Munson?” You choke in your coke. Yes so now she knows it true, good reaction y/n…
“ofcourse not” you try.
“don’t worry he likes you too”
“How do you know?” You look confused.
“well he’s watching you while talking to his friend what means they are talking about you, plus he hand his hand on his dick when you talked” She smirks.
“I-“ you laugh a little “I don’t think I’m his type Mary”Mary looks behind you again.
“he’s going to the bathroom, you should follow him” She looks back at You again.
“don’t think that’s a good idea, we’ll sleep in the same bed tonight anyways”
“damn, you did that before?”
“Only yesterday..”
“alright then I guess you still have enough chances” she smirks again.
“besides I’m not in the mood tonight”
“Fair enough” she nods “ o my god, I love this song!!” She smiles big when she hears rebel yell coming on.
“Me too!!” You giggle.
“anyways, I’m gonna ask for a song, be right back” she smirks.
“No mary… what’s your plan.?”
“surprise” she runs off. You turn around to see Gareth and Grant watch you nothing Eddie is still using the bathroom. Gareth looks away like you didn’t catch them staring at you already. You giggle and stick your tongue out to grand.
“I’m back” she continues dancing with you again. “that motherfucker better be hire soon” she grins.
“I’m afraid” you look at her.
“don’t be” she smiles friendly.
“can I have ur number tho?”
“uh you should ask Eddie that I don’t know it” you shrug your shoulders.
“then I will”
—10 minutes later—
You were still dancing but you noticed some people going home already but it was still crowded.
“oeeehh is it okay if i dance this one with my boyfriend?” She asks if take my breath away comes on.
“sure don’t worry about me” you smile.
“thanks sweetie” Mary goes over to her boyfriend and dances together slowly in a perfect rhythm. You look around seeing only couples dancing so you’re just standing there fucking awkward. You walk over to a wall by the music and you lean against it.
.
“Come on Eddie, look at her standing all alone” Gareth tries to convince Eddie to dance with you.
“no I don’t like dancing, you know that.” Eddie says annoyed.
“okay fine, then i will because this is just sad man.” Gareth says walking over to you. You didn’t notice at first but suddenly someone takes your hand.
“come” Gareth smiles. You smile back taking his hand, he walks over to Mary and her boyfriend and places his hands on your back and you wrap your arms around his neck. He was just a little taller then you so it was easy.
“I asked Eddie if he wants to dance but he gets grumpy if he’s too drunk” Gareth chuckles.
“that’s fine” you smile.
“whore” anyone behind you said and you’re really sure that was about you. You look behind you to see a blonde guy with a basketball sweater on.
“huh? What did you say?” You let Gareth go and turn to him. The boy looks at your belly and snorts.
“come on Jason let her go” a blonde girl pulls his sweater.
“who’s the dad? Or you had so many you don’t even know anymore?” He laughs, some other people do too. You open your mouth to say something but you didn’t have words.
“hey man. You better leave her alone.” Eddie stands next to you suddenly.
“or what Munson?” He smirks.
“Nothing. Eddie has nothing to do with it but I just want to say it’s very sad that you talk to a woman like that.” You snap. Eddie looks at you and raises his eyebrows while you push past Jason making your way to the backyard of the house.
You sit down in the cold wet grass all alone in the dark. You shiver because you only had a dress on and it’s winter. You thought of the things Jason said to you, you realized they were true. You were a whore and you had slept with much men but one thing was a lie; you knew who the dad was..

My Way
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dad!Eddie x Reader; Other Characters: Elliot (Eddie's Daughter), Uncle/Grandpa Wayne, Robin Buckley, Mentions of Eddie's parents, Uncle Steve Harrington, Elliot's mom
Summary: You take Eddie's daughter to get a haircut, Eddie's not too happy about it.
Word Count: 4K+
Notes: Eddie's daughter was born Ellie but goes by Elliot (this fic explores her dabbling in gender expression, Elliot uses she/her pronouns)
Warnings: ANGSTY, light fluff, slightly mean Eddie (with reason), talks of bullying, parental abandonment, curse words. If there is anything I missed, please let me know.
“Hi, Dad!” Elliot cheers as she opens the front door to the trailer. She tosses her mini backpack on the couch before hugging him. Eddie is already bending his knees to reach her height. Even though she’s only 11, she's already super tall. The top of her head reaches just below his shoulders. “I got a haircut! Look!” She pulls her black and grey striped hoodie off of her head.
Eddie's eyes widen and he gives an awkward smile. “Whoa! Look at you. It’s so short.” He grabs a piece of her brown hair and moves it out of her eyes.
“Do you like it?” She’s smiling so wide and Eddie doesn’t have the heart to tell her he doesn’t like it so he nods and pulls her in for another hug.
Meanwhile, you’re standing by the door, having just pulled your jacket off and kicked off your shoes.
“I’m going to go take a selfie to show my friends!” Elliot screeches and runs to the couch for her backpack. She skips to hug you as you approach the two of them. Her arms wrap around your waist as she squeezes, mumbling several “thank yous”. You gasp, taken aback before laughing and hugging her back.
You can sense that Eddie is not as excited as the two of you are. He’s watching you both and waiting for Elliot to leave the room. Once she shuts her bedroom door, he turns away from you. He busies himself by looking through the mail coupons on the kitchen counter.
“Eddie?” You say softly. “Hi. I missed you today.”
He completely ignores your statement and aggressively turns to the next page of coupons. He then slams the papers closed before turning to you and resting his backside on the edge of the counter. “You said she was going with you to the salon not that you were taking her to get a haircut.”
“Well, she was just going to accompany me and get her head washed and massaged but then she asked for a haircut and I didn’t think it would be a problem since you had been telling her that her hair was getting long.” You ramble. “Are you mad?” It’s a dumb question because you can basically see the steam blowing from his ears.
“Mad?” He scoffs. “Y/n, I’m pissed. Do you even realize how bad this is? She could get bullied for it. She already changed her name, I don’t want her to get hurt.” Eddie's voice is loud. His words and volume make Elliot jump. She tells her friends she has to go real quick and hangs the phone up. She quietly creeps towards her bedroom door.
“I understand that Eddie but she wanted it and she's so happy.” You sigh. “I’m sorry. You’re right to be angry and I should’ve called you first.”
“You can’t make decisions like that Y/n. You’re not her mom.” He growls. It’s quite possibly the angriest he’s ever been at you or even near you. Your heart and eyes sting at his comment, his tone, his complete vibe.
“I know I’m not her mom Eddie. I am well aware.” Your eyes water. “I was just trying to help her.”
“You think this is helping her? You’ve made things worse!” His voice raises. Elliot flinches. Her carefree, fun-loving dad is now a cold, bitter man.
“I’m sorry Eddie. What can I do to fix this?” You plead.
“Nothing. I think you should go.” He quiets down and looks towards Elliot’s room. He sees the door is still closed and hopes she hasn’t heard anything.
Eddie doesn’t respond to your goodbye, he doesn’t walk you out to your car, and he doesn’t answer your call when you get home.

“Kid, we shouldn’t get involved. This is between your dad and Y/n. I know you love her and want to see her but your dad would be really mad if I took you to see her.”
“But Dad is mad at her for no reason. He should be mad at me if anything. I just want to tell y/n that I’m sorry.”
Wayne sighed. “Kid-”
“Grandpa…” Elliot whined and pouted.
“God, you have your dad’s eyes.” Wayne chuckled. Eddie always got his way with Wayne by giving his puppy eyes and now his daughter is doing the same thing.
“Look, we can just go for 5 minutes and we don’t even have to tell dad. He won’t even know.”
“Fine.” Wayne groaned and grabbed his keys by the door.
Your entire being perked up when you heard the knock on your door. You hoped it was Eddie, here to let you apologize and hopefully make up for your mistake. When you opened the door, you had to drop your eyes. You were expecting to see a tall mess of curls but were met with a shorter set of curls.
“Hi! Elliot! What are you doing here?” You pulled her in for a hug. “Where’s your dad?”
“I’m actually here with Grandpa Wayne.” She smiles shyly and points a thumb over her shoulder to Wayne sitting parked in his truck. You both make eye contact and wave awkwardly. It was never awkward between you and Wayne. Eddie must’ve told him what happened. You didn’t doubt that.
“What’s going on?”
“I’m sorry.”
“What are you sorry for?”
“I know you and Dad aren’t dating anymore because of me.” Oh? So he did break up with you. “I’m so sorry.”
“Hey, it’s not your fault. This is on me. I promise.” You pull her in for a hug. “Whatever happens between me and your dad, it is not your fault okay? I’m the adult, I should’ve known better. I know I’m not your birth mom Elliot but I love you so much okay? I’ll always be here for you.”
“But I want you to be my mom.” She cries. “I love you a lot.”
Your unshed tears begin to stream down your face. “I love you a lot too.” You kiss her hairline. “Everything will work out, I promise.”
“But what if it doesn’t?”
“I’ll still be here for you. I’m serious about that.” You hold her by her shoulders. “You should head back.” She nods and skips down the steps, running to Wayne’s truck. He waves and then drives off. You can see Elliot watching you as she fades away in the distance.
Day 4
You don’t text Eddie today. You have to start slowly learning to be okay without him. Yesterday was too hard for you to handle. Not only will you be losing Eddie but you’ll also be losing Elliot. The idea hurts you to your core. It sucks.
Eddie was good at keeping his emotions hidden. He’d done it throughout high school. When the bullies hurled insults and names at him, he appeared as if they rolled off of him but they truly stuck to him like magnets on a fridge. Eddie felt like he was dying inside. Ignoring your calls and text, replaying your voicemails just to hear your voice, scrolling through his pictures just to see your face, he was driving himself nuts. He knew a part of him was being selfish but he didn’t care. He was scared for his kid. His daughter was so pure and full of joy. He didn’t want her to experience life the way he had.
Eddie had broken down after high school. Everything had hit him at once and he never fully healed from the jocks or townpeople who treated him as the Hawkin’s Freak. He was only 20 when he lost his virginity and got an older woman pregnant. Once she had the baby, she had left her at the hospital, only for Eddie to show up to an empty room with flowers. The nurses shoved the baby into his arms before he could process what happened. Elliot, born Ellie, had been the best thing in his life. Sure he was stressed and struggling as a single father but he had Wayne’s help alongside his friends.
Then, on a sunny day at the park while eating a double scoop of chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone and kicking a soccer ball with Elliot, he met you. For the past year and a half, he had been the happiest he’s ever been. He has a wonderful daughter and a loving girlfriend but then he lets his past ruin it.
“Dad?” Elliot's voice rings, breaking Eddie’s thoughts as he drives home from the grocery store.
“Yeah, kid?”
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m good kiddo.”
“You’re really quiet. Like abnormally quiet.”
“Look at you with your big words.” He jokes though the tone doesn’t come through.
“Dad,” Elliot says sternly. “I know something’s going on with you and Y/n. I heard you guys fighting.”
“We weren’t fighting. We just had a bit of a disagreement.” Eddie rubs his bottom lip with the top of his pointer finger.
“I know I’m only 11 but I’m not dumb ya know.” Elliot huffs, crosses her arms, and sit back in her seat. “I know it’s my fault that you two aren’t talking anymore.”
“Hey, that’s not true.” Eddie checks the rearview mirror, then the passenger side mirror before crossing lanes to park on the side of the road. He shuts the van off and unbuckles his belt. He turns to Elliot who is looking out of the side window. Eddie can see her watery eyes and quivering lip.
“Look, what happened between Y/n and I is not your fault, okay?”
“But it is! I asked Y/n to take me to get a haircut. I chose what type of haircut to get. You hate it and you’re mad.”
“I don’t hate it. Well, I do but only because I’m scared for you not because I don’t like the style. I’m sorry. You look beautiful. The haircut looks nice on you.”
“You know who’s more beautiful than me? Y/n.” She smiles. Eddie chuckles and ruffles his hair.
“I think you love y/n more than you love your own dad.”
“Ehhh, maybe.” she laughs.
“I’ll talk to Y/n tomorrow. I’ll fix everything. Don’t worry.”
“Why did you get mad Dad?” Elliot inquires.
“When I was younger, I got bullied a lot. After my mom left, Wayne got stuck with me. He didn’t know how to raise me and we didn’t have a lot of money. I often wore clothes until they couldn’t be used anymore. I was really tall so my pants were above my ankles and my shirt sleeves were too short. Kids made fun of me because I didn’t have the new shoes that everyone else had or I didn’t have a brand-new backpack.” Eddie can feel himself getting emotional. “Even as I got older, I didn’t like the same music everyone else liked. People thought I was a devil worshipper because I played D&D. I’m just worried that kids will be mean to you the way they were with me.”
“Oh.” She looks down to her lap and plays with her fingers. “Is that why you were scared of me changing my name?”
“Yeah, I love that you want to express yourself in different ways but not everyone is open-minded. Especially in this town. People in Hawkins can be really old-fashioned and huge jerks.”
“I get it now. I’m sorry that happened to you Dad. But I’m strong. Plus I have you and Uncle Stevie to defend me if anyone is me.”
“Me? I can defend you. Uncle Steve? I don’t know, kid.” Eddie laughs. He buckles his belt and heads back home to put the groceries away and start dinner.
Day 5
Voicemail: I know we’re in a really weird place right now. I know it’s my fault. I get it if you want to stop seeing each other. While that would really hurt, I would respect your decision. I never meant to upset, hurt, or offend you, Eddie. I know Elliot is your daughter and not mine. I love her like she is mine. I should’ve asked you before taking her to get a haircut. Please just call me when you’re ready. I need closure. Thursdays are usually our diner date nights. I’ll still be there at 7 if you decide you want to join me. I’m sorry. I love you.
Eddie doesn’t show up. It’s the first Thursday Diner Date that he’s ever missed in your year-and-a-half-long relationship. You realize that maybe you’re actually done for good and he’s never going to give you a second chance.
Eddie had been having possibly the worst day ever. He woke up late as his alarm never went off. He hadn’t been able to wake up Elliot which means she’s also late for school. Eddie checks his phone only for it to be dead. It was plugged in but not charging. He uses Elliot's phone to call his job and tell them that he woke up late and would be there in an hour. His boss had scolded him but told him he understood.
Eddie let Elliot hop in the shower which meant he had to skip one this morning. He washed his face in the kitchen sink and got dressed in his usual navy blue coveralls. He had set two bowls of cinnamon toast crunch on the table while Elliot got dressed. He was desperately searching for the keys to his van when he bumped his hip into the already not sturdy table. His bowl of sugary goodness and milk spilled across the table. Eddie groaned and grabbed the roll of paper towels, scooping the mess into a trash can.
Next, just as they were leaving, Eddie’s sleeve had gotten stuck on the door handle. He cursed to himself before slamming the front door and locking it. When he got to work, his boss had told him to do paperwork and maintenance of the store rather than his typical role of fixing cars.
On his first break, he tried plugging a charger into his phone and it still wouldn’t charge. He ended up calling Robin to make an appointment for his phone. Robin had been working at Best Buy’s Geek Squad department as a manager and always worked on his phone. Eddie now had to add that to his list of shit to do. He still hadn’t even been able to call or text you to discuss everything that had happened this week. He knew he was being a dick for the most part but he felt it was mostly warranted as a father and former victim of bullying. He promised himself to call you as soon as Robin fixed his phone.
At the end of his shift, he called Wayne to let him know he would be late picking Elliot up from his place as he had to make up the time he was late for then get his phone fixed. Though Wayne only lived a few trailers down, Elliot stayed with him until Eddie got off of work. Eddie never wanted her to be alone and Wayne was more than happy to pick her up from school and spend some time with her.
When Eddie got to Best Buy, Robin had checked out his phone and told him he had a piece of nacho cheese Doritos in his charging port. Eddie groaned at Robin’s laughter. She told him he would have to wait about an hour. After it was all done, she let him charge his phone for a few minutes before he paid for his services. They bid each other goodbye. Eddie tossed his phone in his pocket, he’d worry about it later. He just wanted to see his daughter and get home to shower.
It was nearly 10:15 pm when he got home. It was past Elliot’s bedtime. She had done her homework and ate dinner at Wayne’s. Eddie directed her to wash up and get to bed. He kissed her forehead and walked to the freezer. After popping in a tv dinner, Eddie hopped up onto the counter and finally opened his phone.
When Eddie opened his phone, he didn’t see any new texts from you but had a missed call. He listened to the voicemail and his heart broke. He had forgotten Thursday Diner Date Night and left you alone. He wondered if you were still there hoping he’d show up or if you’d left as soon as 9 pm hit. Eddie cursed himself out before dialing your number.
He wasn’t surprised when it rang a few times but after more than 15 seconds of no answer, he hung up. He called again and again but all the calls went unsuccessful.
Eddie: Babe, I’m so sorry. Where are you? Give me a call. Delivered
Eddie didn’t realize 7 minutes had passed. When the microwave beeped that his chicken pot pie was done, he jumped. The bathroom door opened and the light flickered off. “Dad?”
“You ready for bed kid?”
“You okay? You look flustered.” Elliot wiped her mouth with a towel. “Did you talk to Y/n today?”
“I-” Eddie stood up. “I forgot today was Thursday. Can you- can I borrow your phone? I need to call Y/n.”
Eddie thought maybe if you saw Elliot’s name on your phone, you’d answer. He wasn’t surprised that you ignored him the same way he had been ignoring you for the last few days. When you didn’t answer Elliot’s call, he knew something was wrong. You’d never ignore or be rude to Elliot even if you were mad with Eddie.
“Elliot, can you grab a jacket and put some shoes on? I know it’s late but we have to go to Y/n’s apartment.” Eddie bites his lip. He was feeling anxious and nervous, and scared. Did something happen to you or were you officially done with him? Had he waited too long to talk this out?
Just as Elliot was putting a big black coat on, Eddie opened the front door and ushered her under his arm. “Y/n!” He heard Elliot screech. She ran down the three steps and down the dirt path to your car. You had two bags and a drink carrier in your hands.
You smiled when you saw her. “It’s late! Where were you going? You should be asleep!” You attempted to wrap your arms around her. She grabbed the drink carrier and walked back up to the trailer.
“Y/n, what are you going here?” Eddie asks. His tone is angry or mad, he sounds surprised.
“Look, I know you’re mad at me but I wanted to make things right even if it means we’re broken up. I wanted one last diner date with you. You didn’t answer me and I know I made a mistake but I don’t deserve to be ignored or stood up so we’re going to eat and then talk this out until we come to some sort of conclusion.” You said more aggressively than you intended.
“Yeah, yeah of course. Come in.” Eddie stuttered. “We uh… we were on our way to see you actually.” He grabs one of the bags from you. You head inside to the kitchen, setting the bag on the table where Elliot has taken out the three to-go cups of orange juice. You pull out Eddie’s normal order of French toast with two scrambled eggs smothered in cheese, two slices of bacon, and sausage with hashbrowns and sourdough toast. You then bring out your favorite breakfast order and the next plastic tin is chocolate chip pancakes for Elliot. It had become a tradition to bring chocolate chip pancakes for Elliot to eat Friday morning before school. Elliot was chatting happily with you about her school week while Eddie stood watching you both set the table.
“Dad, are you going to sit?” Elliot pulled his chair at the head of the table out for him. “You can eat the pot pie for lunch tomorrow instead.”
“I’m going to go wash up real quick. Don’t eat without me okay?” Eddie walked forward and kissed her hairline before going towards the room. He looked up at you, meeting your eyes. This is the most awkward interaction you’ve ever had. Even your first meeting wasn’t this awkward.
“Can I come with you?” You ask meekly.
“Yeah.” He nods. “Elliot, can you pack my lunch for tomorrow?”
“Sure, dad!” She shouts before running to get some Tupperware. Elliot loved helping Eddie pack their work and school lunches whenever they had time. They almost always made a similar sandwich and picked their favorite bag of chips and either a yogurt or pudding with a pack of fruit snacks.
You followed Eddie to his room. He went through his small closet for clean pajamas and underwear. No words were said between the two of you as you watched him. You cleared your throat before asking, “How was your day?”
“An absolute mess from beginning to end.” He sighed before slipping his combat boots off and then his coveralls. “What about you?”
“Not much of a mess but a shitty day.” You lean against the door frame. “I’m sorry for showing up unannounced. I don’t mean to be clingy or pushy. I really don’t Eddie but this isn’t fair for me.”
“I know, I know.” He turns to you. “I let this drag on too long. I got your voicemail today and immediately knew I fucked up. I can’t believe I didn’t show up at the diner. I’ve been such a jerk and you’ve been patient, I mean not really but you have.” You both laugh at that. “I haven’t been super truthful with you.” He tosses his clean clothes over his shoulder. He’s in a white tank top and black boxers as he stands in front of you. He scoops your face into his hands and looks down at you. “I’m so sorry for all that I’ve put you through this week. This whole thing has brought up a lot of emotions and memories from my past that I’ve kept hidden from you.” Eddie begins to ramble about Jason Carver and his dad in prison, his mom leaving, Elliot’s mom abandoning them, being the town freak, and being a three-time high school senior. He lets it all out in a long breathless ramble of tears.
When he takes a big deep breath, you wrap your arms around his waist. “Is there anything else?” He shakes his head no. “I’m so sorry you had to go through all of that. I’m sorry that I brought up those bad memories. Thank you for telling me.”
“I’m sorry that I’ve been such an asshole. I shouldn’t have kicked you out that night. I should’ve explained why I was upset and scared for Elliot. I broke our promise not to give the silent treatment.” He’s near sobbing now. “I almost let you go because I couldn’t man up and talk to you.”
“Come on, none of that. Yes, you did some questionable things but you did them because you’re an amazing father. You care for your little girl. There’s nothing wrong with that. I love you.” You lean up for a kiss. Eddie wipes his cheeks before leaning down to meet your lips. It had been nearly a week since you both had any contact so you both were going to savor this kiss.
“Foods getting cold!” You both broke away with a laugh.
“You heard her, get dressed, Dad. I’ll meet you in the kitchen.” You pecked his lips again, closing his door so he could get changed.
Eddie shakes his head before pulling his hair out of his face with a hair tie. He finished changing into his Spiderman pajama pants and a white t-shirt. He then slipped on his “Grandpa Slippers” as Elliot called them before turning the light off and heading into the kitchen. He can hear whispers at the dinner table.
“So he doesn’t know you came to my apartment the other day?”
“Who doesn’t know what?” Eddie asks, making both of you jump.
“Nothing.” Elliot’s eyes widen, grabbing a piece of Eddie’s bacon and eating it.
“Did you make your Granpda take you to Y/n’s?” Eddie sits in his chair and takes a sip of his orange juice.
“No!” She squeaks.
“You’ve got your Grandpa wrapped around your finger. Just like me when I was a kid.” Eddie laughs. He looks up at you again and smiles. “You ready to eat?” Both you and Elliot nod. “I love you both. Let’s eat.”

Your hand was on Gareth's neck as you kissed him, your other hand on his thigh as you sat in his bed with him more he was leaning back slightly and you were between his legs making out with him. This wasn't something new you guys found yourself like this on more than one occasion, your pg kisses would snowball, which in knowing this and due to the multiple embarrassing moments from the past led Gareth to lock the door the moment he steps into his room to avoid the embarrassment of being caught again. it was embarrassing the first 3 times it happened after that changes were made.
 He smiled against your lips.
“what time is it,” he said against your lips.
You pulled away the two of you panting to look at the clock on his bedside table “3:40,” you say
He thinks for a second “ten more minutes then I have to go open the garage okay,” he says leaning back in to connect your guy's lips giving a comforting squeeze to his thigh. at 4 o’clock corroded coffin was having practice and of course, the rest of hellfire was invited. but this was the first time the freshmen in hellfire had been invited to the practice. they didn't want to be late so they arrived about 15 mins early at 3:45 the house looked empty and the garage was closed the three teen boys didn't know if Gareth was there or not ”what should we do no one here” Lucas
“maybe someone inside, we could look threw the window,” Mike says.
“Mike that sounds like a really dumb idea,” Dustin responds to the boy's stupid idea
“do you have any other ideas,” Mike says.
“I don't know Maybe, Wait for Anyone to get out here!” Dustin yells throwing his hands up
Mike already making his way to the smaller window a bit higher up on the wall on the side of the house leaving the other two boys to follow him begrudgingly. mike jumps on the crates on the side of the house and peers threw the window along with the 2 other boys too curious to see what eve Mike had found.
there behind the gap in the curtain, they could see Gareth with his arms wrapped around someone's neck as he kissed them the group of boys gasped and ducked
“We at least now we know someone home,” Lucas says
“do you think we were supposed to see that,” Dustin says
“Who is that,” Mike asks
“I'm not sure maybe we should ask,” Lucas says the next thing they hear is the garage opening and voices
“your sisters at work right,” you ask
“yeah and Lillian and Ellie at the after-school care thing at their school,” Gareth says hands in his jean pockets
“well let me know if you need anything alright, oh, and also give me back my note tomorrow before Mr. burners class,” you say walking back to your car Gareth joins you in walking to your car.
“yeah yeah I’ll return your notes,” he says teasingly
saying goodbye to each other and your car pulls off leaving Gareth standing there the group of boys walks up to the curly-haired boy who turns around to walk back to his garage. The three boys near the side of his house not knowing what to do, confront Gareth or just let Gareth say something on his own about dating someone?
Pat Jeff and Eddie arrive as Lucas, Dustin, and Mike wait to not show up till everyone else is there not wanting to let everyone know they were there very early.
the older boys take a small break an hour into practice and Mike decides he's going to bring up what they saw.
“so Gareth who was that in your room earlier” Gareth almost chokes on the dr. pepper he's drinking.
“Were you guys looking threw my window!” Gareth's face scrunches up mike starts to scramble to explain “w-well we thought no one was home so we kinda just look threw the window” Dustin and Lucas facepalm at Mike's terrible excuse.
Eddie Pat and Jeff laugh at Gareth's red face, “one, don't look threw my windows like some fucking peeping toms you weirdos, and two that's my partner I thought you three knew” he said trying to drink the rest of the drink,
“wait why don't they ever sit with us at lunch” ”they tend to do homework in the library during lunch” Gareth shrugs.
