Demon twins? Demon twins. 

Damian? Good at the assassin side of things, at least for a four year old, but Danyal? He’s okay, but he’s far better at things like poisons and bookkeeping. Which is honestly? Okay. They’re the League of Shadows, and sure a majority of the members are assassins, but it’s definitely not all there are. So? Danyal starts getting medical training. 

Not to say that either of the boys don’t know their fair share of violence and healing- it’s just better to let them play to their strengths. One doesn’t keep a league over centuries if they just have one type of warrior, or even just warriors. A variety is needed. 

So one gets trained more towards the business side of things. Damian may be better at wielding the weapons and killing- even if neither have had their first kill quite yet- but Danyal shows far more proficiency at acting, at masking who he is and gathering information. 

Damian, when he’s first sent to their Father, doesn’t mention his twin. Not because he’s jealous or hates him or anything like that. You just don’t talk about someone in an undercover mission in the League, and it’s not something he realizes isn’t a rule everywhere. 

Needless to say, the Bats have more than a mild freakout the first time Damian mentions a twin who will be coming to the manor now that his mission is over.

Like... Imaging getting a miracle second chance not only at life but to have be loved by the man you've always admired only to find out that his family detests you because during the worst time in your life, physically and mentally you didn't take into account the idea that a man who'd always treated with cool acquaintance at best, active distaste at worst actually cared about you and that his constant reproach and effort get you do give up the one method you have to protect yourself while everyone was literally actually out for your head was honestly because he was badly wording his concern and not because he hated you and the methods you used to survive.

Garp and Compliance

I do think Garp is a very complicated man with very complicated motivations and actions. He is the definition of lawful chaotic. And I do genuinely believe that he joined the marines cause he wanted to do good in the world and that was how he saw how. But I also believe he is a great example of how the willful compliance of the few "good" help maintain the power of a bad system and how that is a part of the problem. does it matter if there are a few good men if the entire system is bad?

But I also do believe that he wanted his kids to drink the marine cool aid like him to keep them safe, Ace particularly. Like I do genuinely believe that.

Like listen they have the "D" just by being alive they are a threat to the world government and it will always want them dead and those they love dead by association. Hell even Sengoku tells Garp that he would have been executed long ago for the crimes of his family if he wasnt so valuable as the Hero of the Marines, anf it's played off like a joke but given everything we know about the marines and the world government it was very much a real threat.

But they haven't because Garp is valuable, he doesn't follow order, his family are all some of the most dangerous criminals in the world and he acts entirely too much like a pirate himself never mind that he and his lineage bare the ultimate sin of having a "D" in their name. But he gets to live, he is safe because he is valuable. And so by that logic if those kids get into the marines, if they complied and become strong, indispensable, invaluable. Then maybe that will keep them safe, maybe it will keep even Ace safe, a boy who committed the gravest only crime against the marines by being born the son of a man the government killed 22 years ago.

And if they are safe then maybe Garp doesn't have to confront the tyranny he swore to protect.

as local ritsuposter, curious what your thoughts on ritshou, or at least their friendship, are. theyre my personal fav mp100 ship bc i think theyre hilarious, like what the hell is wrong with them.

i think i prefer them as friends or qpps to romantic (Cannot imagine them kissing. hashtag aromantic), but their dynamic is awesome either way. they’re ride-or-die in the way that only closeted queer teens with familial issues who only met each other 5 minutes ago can be. their first interaction was ritsu being beaten unconscious and their second was when shou faked ritsu’s death burned his house down and invited him on a fun patricide trip. they match each others freak to a level that would be dangerous to the public if they didn’t balance each other out enough to be almost normal if you ignore that they’re both kind of lunatics. they’re Polite Young Boys who would pause their shenanigans to help an old lady load her groceries into her car. they fucking go fishing together they’re fishing buddies. actually hold on i drew a post canon ritshou thing like 2 weeks ago (featuring my transfem ritsu headcanon)

tldr i’m not one for romance typically and especially not in a show like mp100 that has such emphasis on platonic bonds but also ritshou is awesome they’re so.

2: One of the hardest things for me was choosing Junko's vision. I know I made that post about her being Cryo, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized she fit Pyro.

Visions and how they are chosen are still up in the air. We have no idea on what qualifies which vision type a character will get, the only thing we know is that is something subconsciously given by the Archon of that element.

The Pyro Archon is the Archon of War and the Cryo Archon is speculated to be the Archon of Love. And I know you're probably like "Karl, that sounds like Junko fits perfectly for Cryo, War is MUKURO'S thing" and you're right. Which brings me to my next point.

Genshin LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES Twins/Siblings/Doppelgangers. It's ingrained into every part on the story line. You cannot escape it, its literally the MC's quest to find their twin. And we are already aware the J and M are twins, it's all Junko talks about for the first 10 minutes after her reveal. But they also love Twist/Contradictions. The Archon of Wisdom taking the form of a child is one example.

Junko and Mukuro fit PERFECTLY in Genshin writing because of their twinship. Two sisters who destroyed the World together. I KNOW Genshin writers are reading Despair Sisters fics, I fucking SEE you.

Anyway, what's important here is the Junko gained a pyro vision while Mukuro gained a cryo vision at the same time. It was Mukuro leaving that gained them a each a vision. It's a reminder to both of them.

Junko wanted to burn down the world and Mukuro froze her emotions because she loved her too much.

Junko is Love, but Mukuro is War.

Sometimes they glance at each other and wonder if they got the wrong vision, or if they were both the same element all along.
