okay but you can't tell me daddy dazai isn't GREAT at aftercare. he can take you apart and put you back together again and he loves to spoil and coddle you too. <3
with you, yes, absolutely 100%!!!! he would be the fucking sweetest and he’d already have multiple potential care plans in place before you even begin the scene, each tailored to a specific outcome—the ways he thinks you’re most likely to react by the time the scene is over, with a few of them branching out into sub-plans based on what turns the scene may take as it develops. each aftercare plan is attuned to what he knows your specific set of needs will be by the end of him fucking you into the prettiest shattered shards of yourself. if the session ends up being purely psychological torture then you can bet your ass he’s got a whole novels-worth of words of affirmation written on the walls of his skull, just waiting to be spoken to you. if the session is more physical in nature then he’s prepared with your favourite nutritious snack + a bottle of water + first aid materials. if it’s any combination of both he’s prepared with whatever percentage of each he believes must be met; various aftercare blends each customized to that particular result.
afterwards, after he’s sure your initial, instinctive and most immediate needs have been throughly dealt with and resolved, it’s whatever you further need—your favourite comfort film, or cozy cuddles beneath fluffy blankets with him and your most cherished stuffy, or tender kisses scattered across your marred skin and mangled limbs, gentle lips so healing, so loving as they skim across your body, each stamp of them against your flesh leaving a soft, small blossom of warmth in its wake; whatever it is, whatever you want, he is more than ready and willing to give it.
i genuinely believe that like, 97% of the time this man is fucking brutal and sincerely, severely sadistic in the bedroom; loves teasing you to the point of tears and then far beyond that, staining his name into your skin through deep indents beneath all 32 of his teeth and splats of broken blood vessels beneath his fingertips, can be downright fucking cruel when he wants to be, when the mood strikes him (and takes genuine delight and pleasure in it all)—and as such, being a god at aftercare is a must, when it concerns you, anyway.
with akutagawa tho?????? eeeeeee probably not

I love “I heard your voice too”, but I also love the translation, “Thank you Meryl. It reached me. Your voice”.
It cements the parallel between them as foolhardy, reckless idiots who never give up, as well as makes a neat little call back to the first episode where Meryl ropes him in. Meryl’s voice reached him in time to save him, and Vash’s wire reached her in time to save her from Knives.

“Crowley is Raphael!”
“Crowley is Lucifer!”
Ok your little theories are fun but have you considered the idea that Crowley’s name isn’t revealed for a reason? Yes, he was of a higher class in heaven but he doesn’t need to have been a super well known angel. We weren’t given his name as an angel and I think that’s because he’s Crowley and we shouldn’t think of him as anything but Crowley. He hates heaven and hell and being attached to them, he even distanced himself from hell by changing his name which is very much frowned upon. So if this demon went out of his way to change his demonic name, why would he want anyone to know or call him by his angelic one? The “Crowley was *insert angel here*” theories are cool I guess, but I don’t like them. My personal guess is that he was literally just some guy and even if he wasn’t, it doesn’t matter because he isn’t an angel anymore. Have your theories if you find them fun, but I just can’t think that Crowley’s angel identity is important.

See, the thing about the Amy episode that makes Dean’s actions so reprehensible is not only the part where he doesn’t trust Sam and goes behind his back to kill Amy or even the hypocrisy of Dean ‘you can’t change what you are so you’re going to kill someone eventually’ Winchester sparing the kid right after stabbing his mom, it’s that Amy is very explicitly supposed to be a Sam parallel. There is no other way about it, from the they’re both freaks part of it to Dean dropping the line about ‘the other shoe’ right before he kills her, she is Sam, how Dean reacts to her is supposed to give us insight into how he feels about Sam. And Dean. kills her.
The not very subtle subtext being that Dean is ready to off Sam if he goes too far off the deep end? He’s aggressive and mistrustful of Sam at every turn in the episode, lays the feet of it all at Sam’s hallucinations maybe leading him astray, but end of the day, Sam’s crimes here are A) was tortured in Hell and B) is traumatized by that in a way that makes Dean’s life more difficult.
And it is hard to watch. To spend this whole episode with Sam being completely functional on his own, making a rational decision based on past experience and on all the information about Amy he has available, and for the episode to end with, ‘but yeah, if dean thinks sam goes too far, he’s probably gonna kill him. because sam can’t change or be fixed, so it’s for the good of everyone that he be put down.’

I’ve been staring at Jumilhac papyrus plates for like five hours. Anyway, I think this is my favourite drawing:
I like the contrast, with the red and black and how Osiris and Set are inverted from each other. (Also, obvious symbolism with Set in the stock “enemy” pose and him being upside down.)
That vessel on Osiris’s chair in the corner looks like it might be a heart? If it is that would be cool, like it relating to how Osiris’s heart is vindicated against Set when he becomes ruler of the dead and Horus is given his inheritance as king.
This is what Set looks like when you turn it the other way, by the way:
This papyrus is from the Ptolemaic period, and I believe Set (“Typhon”) was usually as just a donkey instead of a special animal by then. I like that he has a more canine head here, I think it looks cool (EARS!!! HE HAS POINTY EARS!!)
Also he has hieroglyphs next to him spelling his name instead of just an ideogram, which is cool. They’ve spelled it Stš here. (Usually it was Stẖ, but sometimes the š was sometimes used instead of ẖ in words sometimes.) Anyway, you’d pronounce that either S-t-sh or S-t-ch depending on who you ask (and of course the vowels are missing because it’s ancient Egyptian, so when you read it out loud you could say it Setesh or Setech even though that’s probably not how the ancient Egyptians said it).

Everyone who says zelda is bad is being trick theory’d by the swarms of dumbass gamerbros insisting it’s the best game ever created and that EVERY game should be like Botw or Totk but all IM thinking of is the tiny little 8 bit guy. Turn into a bunny or a microscopic little ant or split into four or maybe even go on a little sailboat. Can we hold hands and frolic in the fields together.

I know some people are talking about Sally and Barry attempting to emulate their mentors in certain situations, which backfires on them, but I don’t think Barry gave up on trying to be Fuches halfway through. Actually, it was a perfect impression. When he started screaming down the line at Hank, it’s because that’s what Fuches does. Whenever Barry tells him firmly that it’s over and he’s not going to help Fuches anymore, Fuches loses his shit; he yells at Barry that he’s pathetic, he won’t survive without him, when I find you motherfucker! Barry’s mistake was failing to recognise that Hank isn’t him. Hank respects himself, genuinely cares about other people and, most importantly, won’t degrade himself just to feel like somebody loves him. But Barry absolutely would and, with all his other damage, that’s why he’s furious that Hank somehow says no to him.

Mentally ill hypocritical rant time! (Full disclosure: these are basic bitch pessimistic opinions and I’m not brave for saying this lol)
Thoughts on the Nicholas Bruan accusation twitter thread:
•Grateful 🙏🏼 his dumbass followed underaged girls on tiktok so it’s clear to any doubters he’s a predator. Nerfed yourself, asshole
•It never stops at 16, by the way. These guys who go for 16 year olds want 13, 12, 11. It never stops at 16. One girl was twelve. Don’t trust any adult man on tiktok
•It appears a lot of girl child actors end up being horribly abused and molested and remain victims, yet boy child actors end up being abusers themselves (e.g. Drake Bell, the guy from Corey in the House, etc.) They learn it from the poweful men and notoriously evil Hollywood culture and the people who raped them. It’s just plain old sexism and rape culture. You love to see it!
•Very rich and famous people have done horrific things to get there. What kind of person do you think wants that kind of power? What do they do with that power? It’s pretty obvious
•This will likely lead nowhere and it’s all just screaming into the void
Btw, you’re allowed to express your feelings about a fandom. Nic Braun would be a typical predatory freak no one would talk about— a dime a dozen— if the show didn’t exist.
Separating the art from the artist is a terrible meme & difficult to reconcile (see: David Bowie, especially in the queer community,) but I think it’s time we stop just saying the rich and powerful are evil, but actually knowing it.
Succession is a show about evil rich people, and yet, people are always surprised when the rich and famous and poweful act as evilly as we all know they do
Unironic #staywoke. There are no heroes.

heyo dirtbrain I got two for you for that ship ask game. first is wangxian. second is zhongli & childe bc i know nothing abt genshin impact and also bc the opinions i do have kind of relate to both of these asks which is fun
hello kiri Really tickled by your second selection here. I will try to be brief, (1/137)
literally every single time I think about mdzs I have this constant incessant need to say out loud I DO LIKE WANGXIAN. to my ghost audience. because I really really do. but I’m not Compelled. there are things that compel me and wangxian’s not doing much of any of it. it’s all there already….. which is . where’s the fun in that for me…….. granted though I still haven’t read the properly localized novels yet. started reading the first one the other day but it’s at the bottom of the priority list I guess you could add this one. because there are other more pressing issues at hand. I guess it’s. I’m a terrible marriage (complicated definition) fan and wangxian are so Regular marriage. good for them! but come on guys…..
Also colored in large part probably by the way mdzs fandom was in like 2019/20 and the shredding of lan zhan’s character . different rabbithole different day I hope it’s gotten better in the time I’ve been away . I do still miss my friend wei wuxian though They could never make me hate you king…….
zhongli childe genshin impact though Ha ha. ohhh man.
boring people yaoi is the worlds most egregious crime to me and I’m NOT kidding. I think I’ve mentioned to you kiri my extensive personal genshin mindpalace. and these two are both in there as two of four major players. probably also mentioned the debaucherous tilt this entire mindpalace has happening.
the point I’m not getting at here but am steering towards anyway is that childe knows that zhongli has the power to crush him and the earth he stands on with a lifted pinky and is so into it because he’s a violence freak. and so he’s constantly trying to push zhongli’s buttons, trying to see if he can move the mountain if he just shoves hard enough, shoves in the right way, at the right time. not that there’s not also like. resentment. some complicated feelings bubbling. I wouldn’t care at all if there wasn’t. mindpalace wouldn’t exist if there wasn’t. another rabbithole for another day.
anyway zhongli feels far too old for this. consciously. he feels too old for this consciously I don’t think the boring yaoi people are wrong on principle when they put that old man in Situations. I do so myself. they’re just wrong because they’re not putting enough struggle into it. because I think that zhongli knows what childe’s after and is determined not to give him anything. and yet simultaneously will see him in the right lighting or covered in gore and think I want to eat him. no quicker way to feel your age. he was a martial god, you know. it’s not that he’s averse to violence or the eroticism of it on principle you can’t be a martial god who is Normal about violence. but if you see this twenty-something human being who is trying to rile you up, trying to get you where he wants you, and you let him… you have to be a much kinder, more feeble minded man than zhongli. work harder, gongzi. try harder.
he’s also just not immune to it is the thing. pride be damned the actual thing stopping him is probably the ‘feeling like a cradle robber’ thing
all that said on this topic I’m citing one of my favorite tweets ever

Kinda crazy how people will call out celebrities for not speaking up on political issues and then a celebrity WILL speak up on that political issue but doesn’t do it in exactly the way these people want so they’ll call THEM out too and it’s like why tf would anyone want to do anything these days if every action they take gets them called out???
