Ok, so now that I've watched the msp our skyy eps and slept on it, my thoughts are finally a bit more than indecipherable sobbing at every tinngun scene lol.

Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen the our skyy 2 my school president episodes yet

Me after just looking at tinngun pics yesterday after the ep ended

But i will say one thing they've done well in these 2 eps is UNDERSTAND how to do a life swap au. It was one of my bigger fears about the our skyy msp episodes. Because life swap/role swap aus are often hard to get right. And I'm happy they understood the assignment 😃

Because i absolutely LOVE how they've swapped the lives of Tinn and Gun and how you can see it's changed so much about them, but yet at the core they're still the same tinn and gun we know and love!

I really appreciate how they've just kept the fact that Tinn is still so much more confident and ready to *go* for something despite the fear of rejection and Gun's still more hesitant, still the same boy who is still afraid of *why* he's so loved. (I have a feeling that his dad isn't alive even in this universe, though I'll be happy if that's wrong)

I've seen meta saying how Gun not having that creative outlet as in the original universe has kinda made him more subdued (he's still bratty). And it's so true.

Also there's something to be said around Gun's willingness to pine away from afar and just be happy in the moments he gets with Tinn that is so *him* but also a little nod to those in real life who are not as bold as the original Tinn. Gun's insecurities are something MANY of us have irl.

Gun always has been the one who's a bit more hesitant and it's always been Tinn who quietly but steadfastly just patiently waits for Gun, has always seen Gun and just aaahhhhhh it's so GOOD the way these two ALWAYS support each other 😭😭

Like how @bengiyo says it in their our skyy ep 2 recap, these eps show just how much of Tinn's trust and confidence in himself and his feelings were critical to the way the og msp unfolded and gave us so many of the moments we squeal about.

Also credit to @lurkingshan and @distant-screaming for their thoughts on this episode who are articulating what i feel much more concisely and without ending up writing a mini essay lmao

With that who talk of Gun and Por in the school bench scene (Never Let me Go school I see ya!) it's such a beautiful talk. The whole sequence is such a nudge to Gun and to those of us who are hesitant in real life to do a particular thing that there's not much use just thinking about what your alternate universe self will do and instead just try to go for it in your *own* universe.

I also loved all the references to aof's past works in the mv and the ost as usual are bangers. (Someone please buy me the ost album 😭)

If I had to say, maybe there's just three things I'd complain a little about these eps:

One, there should have been more i absolutely LOVED it

Two, i would've liked TinnGun to maybe have (1) new scene and a small cheek kiss at least (this is a bit more of a personal thing) maybe at that 1 year point ? I would've liked to see it at that point at least but that hand holding was also excellent 10/10 sobbed a lot

Three, I would've liked a glimpse into the lives of the original universe and how they are doing now (I miss them so much MY BABIES) and if that time skip scene had been for the original universe TinnGun somehow i would've loved it even more

Anyways that's all i have to say about these our skyy eps for msp (for now) and thanks for reading through my ramblings 💜

I'm thinking about MY as LQR's son. I'm not sure how it happened (Maybe Lao Nie or WRH dragged him to a brothel before things went downhill, maybe LQR didn't always have a stick up his ass, he's a Lan but he's still a second son) anyway, so on.

I think it would be interesting to watch as things develop because LQR probably wouldn't want others to know he's visited a brothel at some point (even though lying is forbidden but LQR breaks a bunch of rules in the novel anyway), so he wouldn't name MY Lan even if he treats him as part of the main family (like the WWX and JFM situation)

You know xiyao first meet? It's pretty damn obvious LXC fell for him at first sight and the thing is he would here too. Because he doesn't know they're related! I think it's funny that MY has to constantly dodge his (very subtle admittedly) attemps at flirting because they're cousins and he can't say anything because LQR doesn't want him to.

And this would give MY an entirely different breed of daddy issues! LQR is fundamentally good but he's not exactly loving, and MY has to go above and beyond to get the tiniest bit of praise from him. Kinda like having an openly POS parent (aka JGS) and being at peace with that/ not having lots of expectations vs living with someone who you know loves you but is at the same time very strict and has very high expectations so you want their approval because you know you can get it if you just try hard enough.

And then SMS comes in! He has his reservations regarding MY at first (because we know cql SMS was loyal to LXC before it all went to hell), (LXC just cant appreciate undying obsessive devotion smh) and maybe sees him as a threath, but then MY is genuinely nice to him and remembers him, acknowledges him in a way neither the twin jades nor LQR ever did, and even praises him for his hard work, so SMS is absolutely hooked

And they fall in love! MY is kinda afraid to ask LQR for his blessing but by the time he does the wangxian stuff already happened (and maybe nielan shenanigans, I firmly believe LQR would disaprove of NMJ bc of the violence of the Nie cultivation and the utilisation of resentful energy that comes with it) and he's just relieved his son isn't in love with a war criminal or a violent brute (as he percieves NMJ)

And then MY becomes Lan Yao (and gets a courtesy name, thinking shuài 帅 as in handsome/graceful/smart and ráo 饶 because it has connotations of abundance and forgiveness/mercy, two things the Lan sect values, so Lán Shuàiráo 蓝帅饶)

LXC utterly horrified at having fallen for his cousin lmao

And then there's the part of canon where we know SMS walked out of the Lan sect by his own foot! And I think we can assume it was out of shame, so like, JGY defending him! The Lans scorning him for attemping to sacrifice Mianmian, but JGY, who feels secure within the Lan sect, and who values his life above nearly anything, would go "No, no, you were afraid and under threath of death, I'd do that too" and convinces SMS to stay, while shutting down everything throw SMS's way

Cue SMS thriving and happy as (maybe) Lan-furen serving JGY in every way like the loyal dog he is (as in canon)

Yeah.

AAAHHHHHH I LOVE THIS!!

I've seen a couple fics/scenarios in which MY was born into or made part of the Nie and the Jiang, but idk if I've come across him being part of the Lan. I vibe with the idea of him being the child of LQR (and a product of one of the man's wildest and probably most regretable decisions lol).

It's interesting that it would lead him to have a whole new brand of daddy issues, a milder kind too since he's not at risk of getting thrown out at the smallest mistake and that at least he knows that his father's praise IS obtainable, if not easily. In any case, he would keep his nuanced mentality at still not being fully honored as a true son of the Lan and all, but not his extreme survivor mentality that often led him to tolerate abuse.

Lol it's ironic tho how he just can't escape the incest XD

But I love him and SMS getting together!! In a place like the Lan sect, they truly would be different in their approach to the whole righteous rules thing, and they would find companionship and kinship in each other, eventually turning into love. Especially in how JGY would be the only reason why SMS would stay there.

Welp, I'm (not yet really) back from the dead just for this! It's been such a long time since I last posted here (and actually translated something HAHA) (edit: WOW MY LAST POST HERE WAS MORE THAN A YEAR AGO WHAT). I've been real busy with real life - work, work, and did I say work? :(( I miss having lots of time HAHA ;_; also, life update - I took the JLPT N4 exam last December and passed woo thus the inactivity here :))

ANYWAY, enough of me. Let's talk about this song. This song was so beautiful, so heartfelt, it brought me out of depression inactivity. God they did it again: Yanagi's lyrics, together with Buyan's emotional vocals in this song - just hit me so hard I was CRYING HARD after listening to this the first time :(( The words they used in the song may be mostly simple (and I love it so much because it makes translating relatively easier - but definitely STILL NOT EASY), but the message was so so so meaningful. Especially the whole second verse + second pre-chorus where they speak about how we try to understand ourselves and the people around us better. If we try to understand people without understanding/knowing ourselves first, then we're more likely to hurt the other people because we'd only be showing them someone who isn't the real us just to ~please~ them. We can't become someone else just to conform, but we are all beautifully unique, and no matter our differences, we all deserve the true happiness that we all strive for.

Aaahhhhhh idk I feel like this is a ~sequel~ to Shiawase HAHAHA this is now my second most fave song from Super Beaver fr fr :(((

Cannot overstate how much I love this sad old man

Mr. Geldegarde Monotoli, mayor of Fourside, rich in fame and fortune, servant of Master Giygas, absolutely sopping wet pathetic old loser who bit off WAY more than he could chew

I started writing my fic about him and Porky just because I thought their dynamic could be funny to explore, then as I wrote it it just naturally developed into the central theme of Monotoli seeing the good kid within Porky and trying to bring it out by being the kind and caring person he never had in his life and aaahhhhhh (god i haven't worked on it in ages i need to get back around to it aojdjoalkdjdk)

So I love Monotoli because he's a big spineless coward and I just love pathetic characters, but unlike, say, Aloysius, he's not an actively terrible person He gets caught up in his own ambition and greed and then immediately gets slammed in the face by the consequences of his actions Constant visions and nightmares, the guilt of everything he's done, his natural anxiety and fear being amplified by the Mani Mani statue, Porky (a fate worse than death) So he's stuck in this position and deal that he's suddenly realized he doesn't want, forced to continue to do more evil for Giygas

BUT he's also a good person!! He sees the good in Porky and wants him to be safe and happy, he makes sure to treat Paula well when he has to kidnap her, he immediately helps Ness and his friends when he's finally broken free of the statue, he's actually a very sweet guy when he's not being ordered around by a horrifying demonic evil

So I see Monotoli as being a guy with a pretty strong set of morals, horrified at the idea of doing anything wrong, but who got caught up in Fourside's business culture and becoming rich and influential Unfortunately he absolutely was not cut out for it and suffered failure after failure, until when he was at his most desperate he was approached with a deal He took it, rode the high of being on top for a couple days (in which he was incredibly nasty), then abruptly crashed as the ramifications set in His ending in the game is really sweet to me, having given everything he had wanted so much before back to everyone and taking a simple job as a doorman

So I always thought of Monotoli being, like, Italian (or Summers...ian I guess) Like his whole role being "businessman buys up the city, runs everything with armed goons, etc" feels like a spin on the mafia (subverted with him being a super meek cowardly guy who doesn't actually like the power he's gotten) Plus "Monotoli" just sounded Italian to me when I first played It's actually Japanese, "Geldegarde" is German for "guards riches" iirc, his name in the Japanese version was "Monomichi Monotoly" which is something like "has-riches steals-riches" So like a different localization of his name could be, like, "Richwealth Burglerson" or something Anyway he's still Italian for me

I see trout yogurt as being this weird niche thing that pretty much everyone finds disgusting, EXCEPT for Monotoli who absolutely loves the stuff It's hard to get in Eagleland (because nobody else likes it) so he has to get it imported, but the prices skyrocketed when it became known that it was Mr. Monotoli's favorite food and everyone started trying to emulate him (the industry completely crashed when he lost his power over everybody and they all realized it was gross)

He's probably Catholic, can't really get into any specifics because I know nothing about religion, but it definitely plays into his dilemma with having made a deal with what's basically the devil and now being forced to do evil

He has like a full-on Mr. Monopoly-type outfit that he wears for special occasions as the mayor I actually drew him in it a while ago but he looks wayyy too cool, if he's this well-dressed he needs to look like someone just poured a bucket of water on him to balance it out (also i meant to give him a sash but by the time i remembered it was too late)

The way they're acting I'm thinking theybe never crash landed before which is actually really funny bc Anakin only knew how to crash. Like it was a regular occurrence in tcw for bitches to be crashing all over the place

Okay first mention of crosshair.

"Crosshairs actions may have been influenced by his inhibitor chip" "it can do that?" Was it. Like wasnt this established. Like one or two episodes ago? I'm genuinely confused this could be my own standing knowledge of the chips getting in the way but why's echo surprised the chip is influencing Crosshairs actions

I will say. There's times where the lighting and the model rendering blends in such a way so that u can't really differentiate the features on omegas face if that makes sense. Like it blends too much

I do like how much they do the blur/focus thing I've always liked that

Rampart being like the only person in this entire series with decently brown eyes :/

Oh look. Once again referred to as enhanced (crosshair). And it's like the more that I think about it. It would not make sense for the Kaminoans to work so hard to keep tbb alive if they believed they were really defective. They're very much like "here's our enhanced product here's our enhanced soldiers see how enhanced they are" like tbb are advertising so they wouldn't say "yeah they're defective BUT--"

Something about the models for this first batch of conscripts is like. Like they were built the way they were bc the animators knew they wouldn't be on screen long.

This is kinda funny tho bc they definitely made some heads and just stuck them on a clone models body HFKSBFKSNDKSJS not that I'm mad I like they didn't do boob armor but fhakdnaksk

Tech is so like. Not arugmentative but he has to reply to everything and it's normally in a dismissive or disagreeing way and normally I wouldn't care at all but sometimes it's like was this line necessary.

It's so funny like how much ppl just fucking hate being scanned because like for me if every doctors visit could just be a scan I'd be so gung ho for it. Yeah let me just lay here for three seconds and hardly get a needle or anything tf

Willing enlistment as metric for a good soldier is interesting and I feel like purposely manipulative bc the guy in the scene before this just said he's got like food and housing so that's partly why he's staying. It's not a loyalty thing at all lmao

What's funny is that I think tbbs helmets for all their little specialities don't actually contribute to air tight contained suits the way the normie clones do. Bc if this was Rex and co they could probably just keep their buckets on w a lil attachment. So they get the headlamps and the HUD. But hunter can't have that so he has to remove the entire thing and put on this mask.

I JUST FINISHED EPISODE SEVEN AND AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Well technically I finished it like 20 minutes ago (11 pm ish) and was in such shock that I rewatches some scenes several times and then looked at Tumblr for a few minutes lol. There were also a few minutes total of zoning out in shock and just going o.o in there lol. Anyway!

I am really glad she apologized though :') - I understood where she was coming from, and you have every right to break up with someone for any reason, but I always felt like she was being a little hard on EJ last season. So seeing them have a mutual apology and understanding was really nice :')). And discuss Ricky lol? EJ is the best <3. Also I swear if EJ ends up as Coach Bolton xD. Lowkey, I'd prefer Seb or Big Red since they're still in high school, but EJ alluded to being on the stage again and he fits the role more 👀. Hm, interesting :). One more hit to the head and Shuhua was able to change into the guy's uniform.

'Must have a thick skull if I had to hit him that hard .. twice ...' Shuhua thought as she finished up her new look with a messy bun.

Taking the gin bottle she had from drinking the night before, she sat the cafe employee against the wall in the back alleyway leaving the bottle with him. 'There, pass out drunk.. no one will notice’

Shuhua fixed the uniform adorning her, noticing the nametag pinned to the blouse.

"Steve, well that doesn't really fit" she whispered to herself, taking the name tag off and popping it into the bin on her way to the main cafe.

The cafe was only open for 5 minutes and they already had a good few customers. Shuhua just hoped she didn't actually have to make any complicated coffee orders and just manned the til.

Someone already had that covered though.

From what Shuhua could see, the woman had bronze hair in two braids and when she turned around after dealing with the line of customers, big bright eyes shone with a smile behind the owner's fringe.

"Hey! Newcomer right?" The woman asked, their tone unchanging from the cheerful one used with the customers. Shuhua wondered if this chick had her dose of coffee already.. possibly a few cups too many. She looked down to check for the employee's name ... “YUQI” was written on her nametag. 'How am I supposed to pronounce that?'

Shuhua probably made a befuddled face because of the name and Yuqi didn't exactly know what to say or do. Giving a small smile of concern eyeing the confused girl, patiently waiting for some response.

Shuhua just stayed silent and nodded, deciding to go for a shy, awkward character this time around.

"Great! I don't know why BamBam let you work your first shift on a Monday morning, it gets quite busy around this time .. so I'll try to get some training done with you.. ... okay?" Yuqi explained moving from the till end towards the coffee machines, swapping places with another worker.

Shuhua scanned the area, keeping silent because she was fascinated by the different machines. The little details of their buttons and random notes and trinkets under the counter that probably have some purpose but she didn't know what for. She was acquainted with some things, seeing them when ordering her own coffee but she didn't realise all the secrets that were held behind the counter.

Yuqi turned around with no answer from the newcomer, seeing her eyes darting around the compartments behind the counter seemingly overwhelmed. "Hey, you okay? don't worry it's quite easy when you get used to it, it's your first day too so even if you just stay at the till for today?"

Relief! That's exactly what Shuhua wanted to hear. She would only be staying about an hour more, that wouldn't be enough to get used to anything anyway. And how else was she supposed to catch the code while making coffee, steam blasting in her face, probably burning herself ..... and that's the train of thought that led Shuhua to an idea.

After exchanging names with Yuqi, pronounced 'oogie' or somewhere along those lines, they started the training process. While the other employee, 'Lucas', if Shuhua caught it correctly, served the few customers that came during that time.

Yuqi was demonstrating how to grind beans, explaining the different buttons for different coffee orders and such. Until she finally let Shuhua do an order herself .. a hot order.

Yuqi gave her some precautions earlier, especially about steaming the milk but was Shuhua gonna listen..?

No, she needed a reason to stay behind the till.

Shuhua takes a deep breath, seemingly nervous to her now 'colleagues' but she knew herself she was preparing for the pain ...

.. 'sacrifices' she thought, before ..

"AAAHHHHHH !"

The scream was louder than the victim had anticipated .. more high-pitched too.. but it happened. At least the shriek made her actions seem more like an accident than planned out. I mean 30% of the outburst was real cause 'bxtch who knew it'd get that hot !'.

Milk spattered everywhere, probably splashing onto Yuqi a little too but that didn't seem to bother her. She was quick to get Shuhua's hands under the cold tap.

"Sorry"

Shuhua spoke quietly, checking on Yuqi who still held her hands under the rushing cold water but Yuqi’s eyes were fixed on the mess left on the floor.

The pitcher that jumped from Shuhuas hands when she felt the blazing sensation was still leaking out foam creating a larger puddle to clean.

Yuqi's sombre expression softened when she turned back to her burnt colleague. "Don't worry about it ! Just stay put under the tap while me and Lucas clean this mess" She reassured with a faint smile, eyes still bright which made Shuhua wonder if it was really okay or if Yuqi was just really good at masking her emotions.

Cleanup, ointment and a story about Lucas' first day breaking mugs and almost tripping into the broken ceramic .. that was supposed to make her feel better?

Later.. Shuhua was sat behind the till next to Lucas.

Lucas explained the mechanics of the electronic till as he took orders for Yuqi to make. It was fairly simple but he was making it feel like an hour lecture. 'He'd be off for break soon and you'll barely have to deal with customers cause the intelligence should be here soon' Shuhua reminded herself trying to stay calm. Her facade of the shy new barista is waiting to crack.

Shuhua let her mind wander while Lucas went on about the different sized cups and the different names they could be called by customers.. some weird "regular challenge" going around apparently ...

Eyes drifting from Lucas doing said "regular challenge" to the large windows peering out to the city,

the city that Shuhua and her partner had just saved last week..

It's not like anyone knew .. and well, maybe it was saved all thanks to her partner and his daring significant other.

She remembered how Jiung was almost the perfect partner, always did things according to the rulebook.. even tho there isn't actually a real book but ... he was precise and quick-witted nonetheless.

That is.... until it came to the time his significant other found out he was a spy.

Jiung's partners, both in different senses, did not get along well. Always having opposing ideas, Shuhua felt the tension.

They had a rough time working as a trio. Jiung always made it his priority to protect his significant other but they showed they could take care of themselves. The second his lover tried to do things their way, he would panic and instead of being the 'perfect' agent he became clumsy.

Shuhua also remembered the time they were on a stakeout, watching over Jiung's other half, who volunteered to be the inside guy. Of course, Jiung panicked at first but as the night went on whenever Shuhua turned to him his eyes were filled with endearment. 'It was sweet I suppose...

.. sweet..'

She didn't wanna admit it but Shuhua also wanted to indulge in some romance. Maybe that's why she was bitter when working with the couple.. they even left after saving the world to get married and plan their future together..

'they are barely 20! how'd they know what love was?'

.. yeah she was jealous

"You good?"

Yuqi stood before her, Lucas wasn't at the till indicating he'd gone for his break.

Yuqi tilted her head to the side to get Shuhua's attention again, the latter didn't give a response, just mindlessly staring at her senior.

"sooo you'll be alright to do the till? for a bit?" there was worry in the older's voice, Shuhua felt bad for probably worsening Yuqi's anxiety or... it could've been the coffee that caused her hand tremors.

"Yeah, I'm fine really ! um... thanks for caring for me.." Shuhua stammered, hopping off her stool that Lucas gave to let her "take it easy" after the little accident.

Situating herself behind the till with Yuqi next to her, who nudged and assured her. "No prob, I'll be right by your side literally ! haha".

Shuhua could tell Yuqi was trying her hardest to comfort the timid character she portrayed. 'she seems like she would be cool to hang with, if, she didn't try too hard.. this chick probably has to deal with a lot … kinda feel bad'

A customer strolls in grabbing a table by the window, abrupting Shuhua's view and halting her analysis of Yuqi. There were no customers left in the shop; the last few were all to-go orders so Shuhua spent her time observing the women.

Something was familiar about her.

Dark hair messily styled into a half-do, feathery fringe covering her eyebrows, her eyelashes peeking out, a beauty mark under her right eye, Shuhua didn't know much about noses but she knew this nose could be one of the prettiest she's ever seen.. or was it just the woman's face in general .. just beautiful .. the red tint drawing eyes to her lips.. Shuhua swore she would remember a face like this .. damn they were hot...

maybe not hot in the boiling sense... but spicy .... 'spicy? Shuhua, do you want sweet or spicy? make up your mind??'

Shuhua's mind kept trailing on...

The customer allowed some time for the spy to wonder, not going straight to the till after settling her bag on the table. A brief glance towards the two baristas and the menu above their heads, she seemed to be waiting for someone, constantly checking the time and fiddling with her phone.

Yuqi was progressively getting impatient, shifting in her spot next to Shuhua. After 2 minutes of the customer just sitting there watching the bustling street outside, Yuqi had enough, informing the younger she was gonna wipe down the tables but would be back when the woman finally orders.

Shuhua was a little preoccupied admiring the girl, still not processing why she had the feeling she knew this person. She only snapped out of her thoughts when Yuqi came into her view, cleaning a table by the customer and making conversation.

"11:00 am" read on her phone screen.

'the intelligence should be here' Shuhua prepared herself for the transaction soon to come and for any third parties that could potentially steal her information.

"Do you guys do Dahlia tea..?" The red-lipped woman finally stood to order and in the quietest voice ever.

"Hmm?" Shuhua hummed leaning in closer to hear what she said, maybe too close she realised when she could smell a string of floral notes.

An audible sigh was let out by the woman who shifted back from Shuhua's advance, now speaking clearer and more casually..

"I get drunk off the flower called.."

Eyes widen as Shuhua responds to the code “you… Dahlia..”.

Now it all clicks, she's quick to play off her surprise when Yuqi returns to her side, giving a weird look to the customer.

"Ummh dahlia tea? What size?"

"Just a regular one"

"Regular huh?" Lucas cracks up walking through the staff doors in perfect timing. Yuqi smacks his arm, gesturing for Shuhua to continue her job.

"Alright, anything else?"

"ahh yeah a small latte for my friend, names Soojin by the way"

"Soojin ..?" Shuhua knew that name.. she thought more about it while writing the name.

Once it was written on the paper cup..

she recognised it.

Soojin was handing her a tenner to pay, Shuhua took it in her hands and felt the extra note.

"you're the bxtch that catfished me" was let out as a whisper Shuhua didn't even realise until Soojin pulled her money and the info back but the employee still had a hold on it.

"Sorry..?"

"Umm everything okay here..?" Yuqi, too curious and a little anxious about their exchange.

"We're fine Dahlia tea and a small latte for Soojin"

The pair hear a gasp, eyes on Lucas as he utters "they're exes" his hand hurries to cover his mouth.

Soojin was confused, glaring toward the three baristas. Took her a few seconds before she realised.

"you were '01's partner" she tried to take back the notes again.

"you're supposed to be on break.. soon to be suspended" Soojin gave the other agent a knowing look, a little smirk appearing on her lips.

"How..?" Shuhua let go of the info that could potentially save her place at the agency.

"umm.. ladies.."

Yuqi tried to interfere again but Soojin made a run for it. Shuhua jumped the counter, knocking over some takeaway cups and sugar packets. Surprising her short-lived co-workers, both letting out yelps.

"That was pretty badass but what even was that?" Lucas exclaims gawking at the swinging glass door the two ladies had exited from.

Soojin made her way past cars swiftly, a standard runaway, but it seems as tho they both had the same training. Shuhua could guess Soojin's few tricks and next moves.

Soojin was getting tired of weaving through the city, causing discord among the passerby's finally deciding a confrontation was a better solution.

The leading agent now turns back to confront her chaser, panting with a scowl present on her face.

"Who even are you?"

“Shuhua”

“I didn't ask for your name,” Soojin said exasperatedly, still making a few steps backwards while facing Shuhua who followed.

“Where’s your partner and his little girlfriend?” Soojin taunted halting her steps back, they were in a secluded area of the city only cars surrounding them.

“First they prefer ‘significant other’-”

“Oh I'm sorry I really don’t care right now.. Shouldn't you be 3rd wheeling or are we using the term babysitting again?”

Shuhua scoffed as an answer. She was only a couple months older but the others got all the .. maybe not credit but limelight. She was only seen as a mentor or ‘babysitter’.

“Yet it was them who saved the world ..” Soojin whispered under her breath, a fake smile lingering when she turned to Shuhua to see if she caught it.

They all had their parts to play and Shuhua knew herself the great role she had.. But she also knew Soojin was just pushing her buttons, this is what she wanted.. ‘But what I want is that info’

“Don't make me have to fight you for that-”

Soojin laughed, now changing her steps to walk towards the threat. “And when I call my agency, rogue spy on the loose? you weren’t supposed to be here this wasn’t your pickup” Both women were now in each other's face, trying to hold their harsh expressions.

“This wasn’t your job either Seo Soojin” A booming voice was heard from Shuhua’s left.

A woman in all black, stylish yet formal wear, jumped down from the roof of a car. Her fierce eyes, although slightly covered by her hair, were set on Soojin.

“Oh she's angry” Shuhua commented watching the stranger leisurely stride towards them.

“How'd she-”

Before realising it Soojin cut herself off and took Shuhua’s hand to the closest alleyway. Shuhua took the lead to hide. Landing them both in a pile of rubbish hiding behind a broken-down scooter and a sofa that was possibly thrown out by Edward Scissorhands. Soojin gives her an unsatisfied look to say ‘this isn’t a good idea’, but from what Shuhua has learnt from Jiung.. it's better to be predictable when you’re dealing with people who are trained for the unpredictable.

“Who is she?? Another one-”

“Ex-partner.. I made a mistake in our last mission”

Shuhua was getting tired of being interrupted but she couldn't deny that she kinda liked the close proximity they were in.

She had to remind herself that this was the chick who pretended to be a kpop idol who Shuhua had never even heard of to get all her information and they weren’t exactly in the most romantic of places, the stink of rotten food and some mixture of alcohol and urine reminded her well.

Shuhua’s train of thought did not help her temper. Trying to forget the smell of Soojin's perfume from earlier and erase any notions of falling for her, whether it was from when she was chatting to a fake personality on tinder or now next to some dumpster.

“What did you do? Kill her significant other?”

Shuhua tried to retaliate not expecting the agent in question to make a guilty look. A stunned look in return. “What? I said it was a mistake! You were the one who asked ! seems like you've had some experience” Soojin hissed.

“Well, my mistake was never done unlike-”

“Shut i-”

Shuhua let out a gasp, somewhat in a joking manner “and she was wearing all black??”

“Fxck today was the funeral..” Soojin tried to whisper to herself but her now-accomplice of sorts heard and became intrigued.

Faint footsteps made from high-heeled boots were approaching. Shuhua reflects on their pursuer’s outfit, speculating the amount of love Soojin’s ex-partner really had for their significant other when they were attending the funeral like it was a runway.

The owner of great fashion sense called out, “Yah Seo Soojin you won’t let me rest, will you?? Do I have to continue cleaning up after your mistakes ?? even today.. you're not even part of the company anymore! Grow up and move away or something! Before.. Before you create even bigger problems”

Anger, anguish yet hints of compassion were evident but Shuhua couldn’t let go of the fact that Soojin went rogue too. ‘Is anyone in this situation stable??’

“So you too?” Shuhua tried to turn the tables. Eyebrows raised and a smirk played on her lips to tease the fellow ‘traitor’ but she was met with a sullen expression facing the ground.

“We’re going to a place worse than any jail if she-”

“Jail isn't that bad”

“We’re two rogue agents who interfered with- wait you've been to jail?”

“.. does monopoly count?” Shuhua gets a smack in return for her joke, a smile lingering before she turns serious.

“There was also that time last month and I guess the last mission counts too..”

“Whatever, we're not going there !”

Soojin had enough now returning to her feet, followed quickly by Shuhua. The two agents were cautious as they got out of their hiding spot, spotting a white cat making its way down a fire escape, the woman was gone for now.

“Wait W-we? Shake on it?” Shuhua gulps.

No official settlement could be met with the growing sense of danger when a car appears at the end of the alley.

“How bout run for it !”
