My best friend was making an ita bag for her favorite character and I figured I wanted one too!❤ I had a lot of fun making it <3 I got to show this off at a con and got jumpscared when I realized I was sitting next to a twt mutual at a panel who said she loved my bag :D

Here's a closer look of the monstrosity <3 It was a nightmare making the rosette but imo 100% worth it

i handmade a slappy plush just to add on the bag. I gave up sewing half way and just started hot gluing the shit out of him. He was literally made in a single day😢

His body is really wonky. He looks thin😔 I wanted him to be kinda chibiesque with a large head and small body (well more than usual I mean) but my sister said it looks like if he was on ozempic💔💔💔💔

Moving on, here is the insert! I cut up an old spiderweb t shirt to use as a lining over the insert, I also bought plastic bugs from the dollarstore and painted them pastels to match Slappy(the bag of bugs was labeled "reptiles" at the dollar store but there was no reptiles! Isnt that odd?)

Slappy has no official merch so I had to make everything. I feared it would not be enough and I hate empty spaces so the bugs are there to fill out any gaps.

The buttons I also made. The library downtown has a fabrication studio so my bestie and I spend an afternoon making a gazillion buttons of our favorite characters.

Duality of man💯

The eyeballs were the most time consuming to make surprisingly enough! They're made from clay from dollar tree, I do not recommend, extremely fragile. I had to do this twice because it kept crumbling. Eventually I figured it out, covered it in many layers of mod podge, painted it over then shaded with eyeshadow. The pupils themselves are glass eyes, I forgot I bought them back in 2022 for doll purposes but it came in handy! These were originally pink eyes but I ripped off the backing and painted them over purple.

I wanted them to go in the center of the bag bows because that's a very pastel goth motive to have bows with eyeballs. And its very Slappy to have his soft boiled Peter Lorre buggy eyes in bows! :D Slappy's green color scheme can very easily be pastel goth. I have a vision💯💯💯

Anyways worst of making this was gluing on the false lashes! I'm not a makeup wearer so I have zero experience with any of this. But I will tell you that I was at my wits end trying to make the false lashes stick. I have a new found respect for people who do this regularly💯💯

I also did this criss cross ribbon thing on the sides of the bag. I was taking inspo from Gothic lolita bags so I really wanted this detail. I probably should have sewn them on but I got lazy.

I also replaced the zipper tags with coffin charms! Do not do this! They are not stable and I already lost one!

Final picture: I just wanted to show off the bag chain I made :D made from an old necklace, the beaded chain of a childrens toy. The only thing I bought was the spider charms to add onto it. They're supposed to be mint green but they look kinda blue in the photo. Ignore that.

I love Slappy so much that he feels like an open wound on my left side that's constantly bleeding out and causing me severe pain <3 My the back of my head burning up and my chest cracking like broken glass everytime I think of him <3 He deserves a cutsey patootie little ita bag dedicated to him UwU <333

If you have a favorite character you should make an ita bag too! Its a fun craft project. I think it's especially fun when it's not the usual stereotypical pretty boy/girl anime character! Just imagine a Renfield ita bag that's all cutsey Gothic lolita? Someone please make this vision a reality!

I would love to make a Spongebob ita bag someday especially since I already have a lot of Spongebob stuff (pins, buttons, keychains, etc) if they ever drop an official spongebob ita bag then you can bet your squarepants that I'll put it all together💕💕 I do think the Slappy bag would remain the most fun simply because I had to make everything from scratch meanwhile a hypothetical SB ita bag is just things I already own and was collecting for years. Never the less I'd still treasure it both since they're both my bestest boys💕💕💕

The thought inspired me enough to write a bit featuring my Rook (they’re mostly vague, though)

And he has to direct it at Teia because he couldn’t be mad at Rook. Not when they’re practically beaming at the compliments of the group.

“Teia took my measurements a while ago. After the dragon attacks, she felt like she owed me something and asked if she could get me anything.” They shift some. “I asked for some clothes, ‘cus I lost most of what I had, and she practically gave me a wardrobe.”

And Teia - as a Crow and as an Antivan - would, of course, gift them with some sort of luxury. (Lucanis is pretty sure the woman doesn’t feel like it’s enough. However, as he’s come to know Rook, he knows they believe it to be too much.) Not only that, instead of the soft, cool violet or blue most Crows would wear, she’d given them red. The color of their home, and their people, the Shadows.

Typically, they wear the few sets of sleep clothes around the Lighthouse, switching between their gifted ones and the ones they’d kept.

Which brings him back to his current loathing.

Rook isn’t in their usual comfortable clothing. Instead, they’re in a wine-red silk button up with only half the buttons done and the sleeves rolled to their elbows. It’s perfectly fitted, defining the strength in their shoulders and hugging nearly point of them. The dark, gleaming silk also seems to brighten the color of their paint and tattoos, the rose-colored snake on their left forearm vibrant in comparison. The shirt is complimented with leather trousers only a shade darker than their own skin.

So Lucanis stands, with his mouth dry, his face warm, and his heart so loud in his ears that he can’t even hear what everyone else on the library is saying. Stands seething, because of course Teia’s expertise would make them look incredible in something so simple. ‘Maker, do they look good in red.’ And because part of him is envious he didn’t think to do that before they were prompted by her.

Rook’s close by, maybe two steps away, their attention focused more on the whole group than any one person. When their hand comes up to adjust their collar on the left side, he catches a glimpse of another tattoo in the same red as the other. The thought of pushing the soft silk aside to see what it is - to see if they have any others hiding under their-

He feels his face flush.

And he is now forced to confront the part he’s been attempting to avoid - that he likes them in such a way, something he hasn’t felt so strongly before.

There’s a tightness forming in his chest.

“Thanks.” To his surprise, there’s a flush of bashfulness to their cheeks. It’s hard to see under the joy their friends’ praise gives them. “Thought I’d switch it up a little, y’know?”

It is a compendium of the most absolutely rancid shitlib takes available and is going to be GENUINELY useful for a research project i'm working on because I periodically see these things float across my dash but I don't follow enough people who engage with these kind of posts to know what's a good source of them.

I only noticed it in the first place because it popped up as a recommended blog with a picture of trump, whereas normally when i see it recommended it's old fic or fanart.

Anyway, I'm torn between which of these two posts I scrolled past at a glance are my favorite. This one agitating about why censorship is good, actually and the government should ban tiktok (if you don't know why it's a bad thing to set a precedent that the US government bans the use of specific app I just can't help you, i'm sorry, even if you think tiktok is bad you shouldn't want the government banning apps) or this one that uses a Bill Maher quote that is explicitly about the hypocrisy of american civic religion to represent a group calling itself "The Christian Left."

First of all, Bill Maher is, essentially, a conservative and antivaxxer who thinks that Democrats keep losing because they're alienating their base by supporting things like universal healthcare (maher has cheerfully said on his show that he thinks we shouldn't charge taxpayers to make fat people healthy and that the best healthcare is a diet; he has also said a healthy diet is why people don't need vaccines, and you should skip the fast food to avoid getting the flu, and that vaccines cause alzheimers) and cancelling student debt.

Second of all:

As a very reddit-type atheist myself, I wish more people would remember that Bill Maher is not interested in christian morality, he is interested in pointing out hypocrisy as a cheap gotcha (and is absolutely uninterested in responding when people point out his own hypocrisy - he is a neat demonstration of why there is essentially no utility in pointing out when people's actions don't align with their stated beliefs).

Anyway, it's clear that the mod drama on a decade-old MCU fanblog was justified, thank you, unhinged mod, for the repository of liberal memes, and everyone, please please please accept that bill maher is a huge piece of shit and you don't want him to be the face of your movement.

"How am I safer in a pirate's ship than inside my home?" You ask, sobbing.

There's an awkward silence after those words are said, you stand up, decided to go and get some fresh air. He grabs you by the wrist, looking desperate as he stops you from leaving.

"I know," he sounds so urgent, like he's about to cry himself, hypocrite. "I know. I'm sorry. I know you need space but I want to be close to you." You both look at each other, a fight for dominance, one neither of you win. You both just stand there.

"I hate you." You murmur, sitting back down on his bed, facing the wall as you lay down. He chuckles.

"I know," He whispers, laying down beside you, closing his eyes as he rests his head on the nape of your neck.

I was looking through the Gotham Knights Reddit for something (mod fix), and it really doesn't matter what you're looking for; there's always someone complaining in the notes about what a horrible game it is.

And 99.9999% of the time, it's people bitching it's not the Batman Arkham games. (Correct! It is not. It's the Gotham Knights game. Hope that helps.) But the funniest one I just saw someone saying, "this isn't a Batman game."

Like buddy. The whole premise is that Batman is dead. Of course, it's not a Batman game. It's a game about the world without him.

Did you really read the premise that starts with "Batman is dead" and expect to play as Batman? If so, that's a you problem.

"None of the characters handle like Batman."

Correct. Because they are Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, and Red Robin. They are not Batman. They may have been trained by him, but they all have their own unique ways of moving and fighting.

Nightwing flips gracefully through the world like gravity doesn't apply to him while also hitting like a fucking freight train. And he'll do it with a smile. You know this because you'll wake up with a picture of him on your phone. (I love that animation, it's so fucking cheeky.)

Batgirl uses her slighter weight and height to leverage your own strength against you before going for all your pressure points and rendering you helpless. And if she's not turning you into human origami, she's calling in her drones and bricking all your technology. A fight with Nightwing might leave you with a concussion, but a fight with Batgirl means you need treatment for a concussion and a new iPhone.

Red Hood moves like he hates the ground beneath his feet, and you're in his way of stomping on it. He's massive and not afraid of utilizing his size in a fight. He doesn't need guns to be lethal; in fact, his guns are designed to be non-lethal. The same can't be said for his fists. Or his sarcasm.

Red Robin slides through the streets of Gotham like a ghost, only to explode your entire world in a shower of fiery nanobots and a bo staff applied directly to the forehead. If you're really unlucky, you'll wake up hanging upside down from a telephone poll with no memory of how you got there.

They are not Batman.

And I would argue that is a good thing. It would have been very easy to turn them into Batman clones and just do the same thing that's been done a hundred times before. AITA for scamming my ex out of an extremely valuable virtual pet?

🐓🥤to recognize. This might be a very long post with a lot of added context for a very niche hobby and a very small actual conflict.

I religiously play a virtual pet site called Chicken Smoothie. It's a pretty old site as far as virtual pet games go, starting back in 2008, so there is a pretty solid established site economy. Just for some context, Every pet on the site has a rarity, ranging from "OMG So Common" to "OMG So Rare", being the most common and most rare respectively. But there are rarities within those rarities, where some OMGSRs can be worth more than others based on species and demand. For example, an OMGSR dog from 2008 will be worth more than an OMGSR rat from 2008 despite being the same highest rarity and year, because people prefer the dogs over rats. These pets can get extremely valuable. You can't sell them for real money (according to site rules, but of course there's a black market), but the site has its own virtual currency you can buy (with real money) and trade for called Chicken Dollars, and you can also trade a valuable pet for other valuable pets. It gets very complicated, with the community coming up with its own set of value terms each pet can have. I'm not getting into specifics there, that's not important.

Every year, on December 18th, CS has gift boxes you can adopt from. These gift boxes can contain any rare pet from any previous year, including special "Unreleased pets" that you can only get from these Dec 18th boxes, with a very slim chance. These unreleased pets are some of the most valuable and rarest in the game.

Recently, I had seen my ex posting on the forums. I didn't know he had an account, he had made it within this year, long after I got the fuck away from him, and I only knew it was him because he uses the same username everywhere. This person had groomed me, physically abused me when we were together (we no longer live anywhere near each other, thankfully) and has always been emotionally manipulative. He does not know I play, and he wouldn't recognize my account as me. I took a note of his account and left it be for a while, until December 18th hit and I took a peek at what he had got. And what he got was one of the new Unreleased pets, which currently at the time of writing this only looks like a box of cereal. (Most pets on the site have growth stages.) And even better, all his groups were open for trade, so I took a chance and sent an extremely terrible trade. I told him that this pet would only be a recent rare, and I offered him a "Very Rare" rarity (but not very valuable) pet from 2018, telling him I was overpaying. (In the CS community, this is known as Ninjaing, and it's Not A Good Thing To Do). I didn't expect him to accept it, I at least thought he'd be smart enough to ask in the trade advice thread that is literally pinned on the home page for December 18th, but he didn't. He took my word for it and accepted the trade, and now I own an unreleased pet that will eventually end up as an OMGSR.

What I did was not a bannable offence. He will not get his unreleased pet back. The CS mods are laughable at worst, incompetent at best, and don't do anything to stop scamming. They have an "eh, sucks to be you, sorry, be smarter next time" mentality when people get scammed (Which is insane because there are literal single digit aged children allowed on this site!!!)

After taking a bit to think about it, I do feel a bit guilty because I really would not do this in any other circumstances. I hate scamming. I did what I did out of anger and contempt, and I do feel a bit guilty because in essence, I scammed a new player that didn't have much else and didn't know any better.

I'm still keeping that unreleased cereal box no matter what though

Okay so I feel like Kenma wouldn’t really be friends with someone from the start like I feel like you could only be friends with him through mutual friends. So like one day you were chatting with Kuroo because y’all were friends since he’s your bestie’s bf or whatever. And then Kenma dropped by and said to Kuroo “we have practice”. Lowkey like you thought he looked nice so you’re like “HI! Who are you?!” And Kuroo introduces you guys

Kenma lowkey pulls back and like mumbles something you literally cannot hear like bro has never spoken to such a gorgeous and sweet girl before I think he would start TWEAKING out. And Kuroo catches on. uh oh. So then they kinda leave and you’re left there thinking that Kenma hates you whoops

Then for some STRANGE REASON whenever you talk to Kuroo or you’re near him, now Kenma always is too. But when you try to talk to him or go near him he like pulls back. 

Let’s be fr this guy does NOT know how to talk to new people, especially girls

Then you ask Kuroo one day “Does Kenma hate me?” and Kuroo is like “Nah I wouldn’t say he hates you. He’s just really shy” and you’re like “Be so fr he’s literally avoiding me and never talks to me”. So rinse and repeat this conversation about 47 times.

Now whenever you’re with Kuroo and Kenma, Kuroo tries to make conversation between you two by trying to tie your interests together. (Bro Kuroo would be so sweet as your friend don’t even fight me on this I KNOW you would be besties). So like he’d be like “Oh hey, (name) you play this game too right? Kenma finished it last week” and would try to make you guys talk.

Eventually through these things you and Kenma would get closer and he would feel more comfortable with you but you need AT LEAST 2 months of “does he hate me” before you get to “oh he’s just like this”

In a relationship I feel like he wouldn’t be so bad. It’s just getting to that point which is really tough. He would be pretty sweet surprisingly but also more on the chill side.

But get used to his dry texting because he is literally just gonna react to all the tiktoks and reels you send him with a heart and only send you 2-3 words (maybe 4 if you’re lucky). Because the thing is, he’s not good with his words so he’d rather just spend time with you.

He’d always just text you like “wyd” “Minecraft?” “Call?” but most of the time when he texts you it’s because he secretly wants to hear you yap because he thinks whatever you say is interesting.

He’s not big on physical touch but like if you like it then he’d tolerate it. 

Overall I feel like he’s very tolerant in a relationship. That’s the best way I could describe it. He tries his best to fit to your wants and needs and he’s okay with that since he doesn’t really mind. He’s also really patient with you and lets you take your time when you talk or dress up or anything

He lovessss to play Mariokart with you since he always wins but he would let you win sometimes. You’re so proud and a sore winner when you win but he just smiles and lets you bully him.

He gets teased a lot by his friends that he has a partner but he just frowns and tries to ignore it. Kuroo surprisingly doesn’t tease him that much since he knows it makes him uncomfortable (yet again I’m a Kuroo glazer)

Another thing is that I feel like he’d gift you steam games and nitro because he’s your discord mod daddy and you’re his discord kitten :3 (sorry)

He’s pretty rich in his high school years too since it’s canon that he did YouTube since his high school times and got some cash from it. He loves to spend it on you and get you things you like.

Omfg he’s so clingy too ngl like he’s not very obvious with it but you can TELL that he constantly wants to spend time with you whenever he has the chance. If you tease him about it he will roll his eyes and ignore you though lol
