the cousin i confided in yesterday explaining how i was triggered told my other cousin (that i'm even closer with) that she was really annoyed with me for taking issue with something that wasn't even that big of a deal anyway so uhhh i'm not initiating contact with her again for a while lol. she seemed mildly annoyed when we were talking about it but i don't pick up cues well over the phone and that didn't really make sense anyway bc why would someone be annoyed at me calmly explaining one of my triggers and discussing what we can do to make everyone more comfortable next time it happens lmao so i was like "oh she's not really annoyed you're just feeling insecure bc you're irrationally afraid of showing emotions" but noooo she was fucking annoyed. she did think i was being difficult for no reason. she doesn't have fucking basic empathy for me. cool cool, cool cool cool.

i know everyone likes to put tharja in the "yandere goth girl" category but tbh i feel like pigeonholing her into one specific archetype does a huge disservice to her character. is she obsessed with curses and robin? yes. is she constantly shoved into a fanservice role by intsys? absolutely.
but i think a lot of people forget just how impactful a lot of her supports are...there's something about tharja that makes nearly everyone who interacts with her divulge their deepest secrets and points of anxiety with her. we see this with libra, who tells her of the abandonment he endured at the hands of his parents. we see it with nowi, whose cheerful demeanor slips off as she tells tharja of her missing parents. and although tharja is not the only one lon'qu confides in regarding ke'ri, their support is notably the only one in which lon'qu divulges that there was romantic involvement between he and his childhood friend.
and despite her antisocial exterior, she always listens mindfully and offers to help! she even goes out of her way to discreetly help the shepherds (getting virion to do odd jobs that benefit civilians, interrogating henry to make sure he bears no ill will towards ylisse, etc).
a big thing about tharja is that she IS kind. she IS considerate. she just also has a reputation to uphold as a dark mage and that (paired with her overall awkwardness ofc) makes her true nature hard to see at first glance

not enough TimJay content takes advantage of the fact that the Red Robin mantle and suit were Jason's first, and Tim effectively stole Jason's shit that Jason wanted to throw away. Tim took Jason's name, his suit, to go on a one-man crusade when he's at odds with the Batfamily. You're telling me Jason wouldn't be weirdly offended but also weirdly turned on by that?
robin (1993) #177
robin (1993) #178
And yes, Tim only knows about the Red Robin suit's existence because Ulysses Armstrong stole it for a hot second, but the fact he stole the suit from Ulysses and fucking kept it? Even before he had any reason to? Like before becoming Red Robin, Tim just kept a suit he knew belonged to Jason despite openly disliking Jason for. Reasons. And later on, it's explicitly confirmed Tim's wearing it because it's Jason's legacy? That's the most toxic gay shit I've ever seen.
adventure comics (2009) #3
Tim's punishing himself with Jason's image. Jason, who has been constantly trying to get Tim to see things his way and work with him would lose his mind over that. There's such a potential for a toxic possessiveness to it all, Tim branding himself with Jason's suit and name. The assumptions Jason would make about Tim because of it. The way Jason could hold that over Tim's head, that they really are one and the same, and deep down, Tim must know it to some degree, if he became Red Robin when he felt replaced as Robin. I truly do not think Jason would ever shut up about it. As a fan of 'possessive/weirdly obsessed with Tim' Jason, I think this would take Jason's weird feelings about Tim to the next level. And if Tim will punish himself just by wearing Jason's legacy, imagine how much more he'd punish himself for falling for Jason too. Weird freaky little masochist who tortures himself through Jason seems exactly Jason's type, tbh. I'm feral about it.

yuuta exhibits such previously abandoned, recently adopted dog behavior. incredibly anxious all the time, even though nobody’s out to get him or leave him behind. waits for you to return home or from school or from work excitedly, just to see you when you walk through the door. follows you around senselessly, hovering in your space just for the sake of companionship. initiates affection in prodding ways—starts off next to you, then a hand on your thigh, then deems it safe to lay all the way down, then slowly pushes his head into your lap. gets up whenever you need to get up, and resumes his position as soon as you’re ready. brings you gifts as a sign that he’s thinking of you, and maybe because he likes the affection it brings out in you, maybe because he likes the gentle affirming touches of a hand in his hair or a pinch to his cheek. rests his head on your stomach or his chin on your shoulder when he’s sleepy, stays there, immobile, and will not move unless absolutely necessary. sometimes he gets surprised when he hears you calling for him, there’s a moment of disbelief as he thinks “me? really? you need me?” but it’s very quickly overshadowed by this compulsive need to show up, to please, to do anything for you, which is why he always answers when you call. he doesn’t realize that he has puppygod eyes, especially when he’s excited or confused, but he does and it’s incredible endearing. very reluctant to share your space or attention after a while, considers that to be sacred and he won’t risk being let go or lost again, so as a safety precaution, he keeps himself right by you, waits for you always.

I spent all my tv time watching the episodes that noritoshi appeared in over and over again literally squealing and kicking my feet whenever noritoshi is on screen that my family is just sick of my shit
Noritoshi scolding abt using indoor voices...... swoons....... He would be so orderly and nagging abt it too... uwaa....... coughs
you and me both, bro. The way Noritoshi presents himself with such grace and stoism is so fucking beautiful, even my ancestors possess me to let out their shock. the way his type of character talks, too, with formalities and like he has an image to uphold... HOW CAN YOU NOT YELL AT THAT. Not only that, but he's so... flowy.... from his clothes to his hair and the way he uses his bow in the fight scenes..
the fight scenes served hella cunt. I love shonen sm. Noritoshi fight scenes are so good.... but stop fucking giving him concussions @ gege

"That would never happen here."
Quick doodle based on the idea that the Silly Celestials can peek and watch shows from other dimensions, in this case the canon one. By the time V3 is a thing in Clip has long been redeemed and,,, mostly dealt with his complicated feelings about being a backup. But the idea that Eclipse could come back again in a new mysterious way, potentially the og woodsboy himself (which was theorized at the time), is a terrifying thought for him and his brother knows it. Lunar is quick to reassure Clip that it won't be an issue, that dimension is bonkers not like ours at all.

Doing yaoi research on asoiaf fandom rn it's actually kinda surprising to me that joffrey/robb isn't really a thing I feel like that's obvious toxic yaoi material...like not saying I ship it or anything but it feels like a no brainer...if this was a more yaoi oriented fandom I feel like it'd be a thing

One of my favorite things that happened during my last mage Hawke playthrough was during the final battle against Meredith. Everything's going well. We're kicking her ass, she's got just this much health left, we're so close... but then everyone gets stunned dizzy.
Hawke is stumbling around all confused, seeing stars. The rest of his companions are stunned. I'm annoyed because I just want to end this fight. Don't know how or who did it, probably Meredith, but the situation's dire.
Meredith's standing by herself at the center of the Gallows, shouting nonsense and smugly believing the Maker's going to come down and make her his new bride after she murdered a bunch of innocent people.
Truly, this is the part of the story where Varric says they all thought hope was lost, that in the end, Meredith would pull a fast one on us and claim victory...
Until the REAL hero of dragon age 2 comes storming at her. I don't know why Carver was the only one to not be affected, but he literally jumped out of no where and just started bashing Meredith with his sword while everyone else was too dizzy to do anything until she was dead and the cutscene played.
"Hawke defeated Meredith-" LIES, VARRIC. I know the truth! I was there! Hawke didn't do shit! Carver Hawke was the main character all along! He got shit done and Varric gave Hawke all the credit!
I bring this up because last night I finished my warrior Hawke run and when we got to the fight with Meredith, I kind of hoped the same thing would happen where Bethany dashed in all heroic and got the killing blow on Meredith.
She did not.
She got squished by a statue.
But it's fine, Bethany Hawke was the true main character in my heart.

I don’t understand Daenerys Targaryen antis.
You’ve got the show where all your theories about how the former bridal slave/revolutionary will go mad and be murdered by her lover whilst in the middle of intimacies came true.
The evolution of George R.R. Martin's stance from "only the books are canon" to "there are two different canons" should have provided some resolution to the endless fandom debates, but yet here we are.
The white revolutionary is dead, all your also white faves were able to ride off into the sunset. Every named person of colour except for Greyworm is dead and if we're being real, Greyworm is off to die offscreen. Westeros is white again, you won. Whatever winning means in this context. What more do you want?
People have spent years tirelessly attempting to draw parallels between the show's narrative and the book's trajectory, even where these parallels do not exist. You make a post about the book version of Daenerys Targaryen, and her antis scream at you in the comments about how she's a mass-murdering slaver. They never have proof to back this up.
At this point, it has become concerning. What motivates such a fervent desire to witness a 16-year-old die again on the blade of a man (preferably a relative)? It has been years and people are still writing shitty meta with haphazardly edited quotes from the books to prove that Daenerys will eventually go the way of her father.
Interestingly, Young Griff and Jon never seem to suffer this fate, even though they share a mad grandfather and prophecy-obsessed (according to the fandom) father.
Simply saying Daenerys will not die at the end of the series elicits a tremendous amount of vitriol. The show should be enough, replay the scene where Jon stabs her in the heart and savour it. For the love of all that is holy, please stop trying to impose show Dany on book Dany. They are two different characters.

I had a shower thought about Destined With You after seeing some behind the scenes footage where many of the actors described their characters as being lonely. That's a big unifying factor for these different characters. And isn't that ultimately just the overarching theme of the show? The messy and desperate things people do to alleviate their loneliness.
We have Hong Jo who lost both her parents at a young age, who was bullied at school and who had no one to eat lunch with until recently. She also (very unethically tried to) cast a love spell to finally experience romantic love for the first time in her life.
We have Shin Yu with his complicated relationship with his parents (or mainly father), and Shin Yu's depressed mother who feels lonely in her marriage to her neglectful husband.
We have Naeyon, who's done erratic and horrible things in pursuit of Shin Yu's love, and who clung to him for two years despite never hearing an "I love you" back from him.
We have Jaekyung, who like Hong Jo didn't seem to have any close family or friends until he moved into the same building with Hong Jo.
There are the two female coworkers who develop crushes on all the hot lawyers at the office, but who spend their holidays alone.
Even creepy flower guy longs for his deceased wife.
So while I'm not going to stop yelling at everyone to stop making bad choices (never!!!), it's a show about messed up and even a few traumatized/depressed individuals. It doesn't make for great escapism, but I suppose they're all very human characters in that sense.
