Obsessed with the way Evadne's relationship with Apollo is described. Obsessed with the way Apollo was especially gentle with her because she was sheltered, hidden away and hadn't had any sort of experience with love prior to Apollo (and due to it being described as her 'first learning Aphrodite's joy' through Apollo', it was probably her first time even being attracted to someone). Obsessed with the way that Apollo sends snakes to feed his baby honey straight from their fangs because Evadne abandons their son out of straight primal fear when her stepfather finds her and how the description of that honey is 'sweet venom' [ἰός] of the bees and is DEFINITELY a poetic pair/pun with [ἴον] aka violets and that every single thing about this relationship, conception and birth is a complete and utter fairytale down to Evadne's insanely overprotective stepfather having an immediate change of heart when he learned Evadne's child was an actual, legitimate Son of Apollo and the babe, after being cared for by his dad's honey-fanged snake buddies, was found perfectly healthy five days later swaddled in a blanket of violets (y'know the flowers so strongly associated with Aphrodite that they were used for lo-) and they called him Iamus aka Boy of the Violets which is AAAAAARRRR I AM GNAWING AT MY ENCLOSURE

Iamus was made of love. #thank you this has been the laziest media analysis post of my career #dbtag #media analysis #something something a game to goku is a threat to vegeta etc #there's a pinned thought here about how Vegeta also didn't learn about the dragon balls until he was ?? 30?? and so all loss is permanent #and goku has been familiar since he was ~12 and hasn't faced a permanent consequence since he was 10 years old and even then he got closure #sometimes I think about how Vegeta saw Trunks die and how Krillin was mad at him for reacting since they could fix it with the dragon balls #but Vegeta has very limited experience with the dragon so to him in that moment that was permanent and Trunks was Dead. Forever.#And we talked before in a 2am post about Vegeta having never experienced grief born of love and I stand by it because his feelings then wer #still very new and very odd and not something he'd accepted until that moment so it was raw power but not as powerful as it could've been #all this to say in my heart of hearts I think Vegeta deserves to retire at the end of super (if super continues) -- not as a warrior #but as an infantryman. he's a prince and now he's got his domain and his family and his planet to look after and I think he deserves #to go home and stay home and help piccolo bully gohan into training more often when goku inevitably leaves to hop the multiverse #geets wanted to take a sabbatical when Bulla was born but didn't get the chance because Freeza coming back freaked him out too much #but whether freeza gets a redemption arc or gets defeated -- Granolah's arc seemed to shift his perspective on being the strongest #and I just grips fist I just think it would be a really nice full circle for Vegeta to inherit his throne in a way he never expected and #finally get his kingdom to look after and protect in the way that he was looking forward to being king of his own planet all those years ag #Goku's got Broly and Jiren and Hit and all the others to keep him busy and happy now -- and if Freeza gets a redemption arc he'll probably #continue playing slap-ass with Goku for the rest of his life -- and Vegeta's got Gohan and Piccolo and Goten and Trunks #I just think them getting a nice bittersweet 'This is where we part ways' would be really nice for both of them because !!#They couldn't have done this without each other. They couldn't have known this kind of life was possible without each other.#So they swap lots and live happier than they ever imagined they could be #especially since Vegeta has proved to himself that he can close any gap Goku creates in progress that's not a concern anymore #And obvs the door's always open!! #the tiny house i based my own blue print off of is for sale at 110000 across the country #if my ass weren't broke id hop on that and drive all the way over to get it #but also 110k for a tiny house on wheels is pretty outrageous especially when these things were originally marked at a cap of 65k #once upon a year now no one can afford them #i do want a home someday and I'm also finding I'm nomadic by nature #dream would be have a “home base” with land thats permanent #but as soon as winter comes i can pack up and move south or wherever is warmer for several months before returning #that would be great for minimizing fibro flares getting away from the cold #heck if remote work ends up getting me good money after i pay off a huge chunk of medical debt i wouldn't mind #being a digital nomad for a few months out of the year #go see people i like across the pond see pompeii see rome see ireland see spain see australia see japan #so many....#theres people that want to hear the pitter patter of tiny feet before they die #then theres me that wants to see all the cool ancient human things before it disappears or before i leave earth and go home #one of the few big fears i have is it wont happen in this life #but hey i didnt think i was gonna make it past 23 let alone make it to 32 #i didnt think i was ever gonna get out of my abusive household and out of my old shitty life #but im here so who knows what could happen right?#not magenta or fuchsia but some other pink variation #i just need to roll out a pink color palette and start assigning emotions to them at this point 😂#magenta is my vent word #fuchsia is my vent word for good things #idk wtf this is its a combo

Yesterday I've been doing some proper physical exercise for the first time since last year and I'm just imagining how proud my f/os would be of me🥹

#it was just a 20 minute beginners home workout and I can feel every muscle in my body now but I think they'd be so happy I pushed through!#I've had particularly Heinz and Maximilian on my mind I think they would be sooo happy that I'm trying to take better care of myself💖#Heinz because he's always there anyway of course but I kind of imagine Max is probably overall the fittest out of my f/os #he seems like the kind of guy who'd want to be an example for his soldiers and always hold himself to the same standards as them #he'd be so supportive and cheer me on and be proud of me every time I get myself to do something😭💖💖#I've never particularly enjoyed doing sports (aside horse riding but in the past year I didn't have time anymore for that bc of uni😭😭)#so I didn't really do anything anymore after I finished school #I started doing simple home workouts last year but in winter my mental health went a little📉 and then I had no motivation to keep going #dunno how long I'll go through with it this time but better than nothing I guess #again with the home workouts lmao bc driving to the nearest gym ain't worth the time for me and I'd need some basic fitness first anyway #I'm doing it mainly for health reasons but this time I'm also motivated to actually get a bit stronger #I don't mind looking like a stick figure and I'm overall content with my body (maybe it could help me to look a bit more masc tho?👀👀)#but I know especially for my posture and such it would be good if my muscles were just a tad bit more developed #my mum was proud of me too when I told her about it hehe :) she works in healthcare she's always a little concerned #she's just a little worried about me getting health issues when I'm older that could be avoided by taking proper care of my body now #I get where she's coming from but it's not easy but at least I'm motivated to try again now :)#selnia talks

i would like life events to stop occurring for the rest of the year please. i have had enough life events for a year.

#it's nothing horrible this time. just my brother's going to be moving back into the house with dad and i #he had a place downtown - a little apartment he lived in for free attached to the dog daycare he helped run #basically free apartment in exchange for looking after the overnight dogs as well as the usual daytime work there #but recently. a dog escaped the yard and ran off. and they haven't been able to find it. so the place's owner pulled the plug on the place #including his apartment. which. is some absolute bullshit to pull. taking his job AND his home both at the same time.#spineless coward hasn't even spoken to my brother at all since coming out with the decision. fucking chickenshit millionaire.#so. my brother and his dog are gonna have to pack up and move in.#it's fine on my end - being anxious about changes to my routine and home aside and all that #i'm just sad and angry and worried for him. none of this is fair for him at all. <:\#i just want the people i love to be okay. and i wish their lives could be kinder to them.

For me, inspiration doesn't mean "to write".

There are, and always have been, a lot of stories floating around in my mind - ideas, scenes, vibes, outlines. I get inspiration from literally everywhere, from talking to my friends, and video games, and scrolling past images or prompts, and reading books, and spending too much time on reddit, and…

Many remain daydreams, or character backstories, eventually lost to time.

Now for actually being able to sit my ass down and get words on the page? I don't know. It comes and goes as it pleases. Having a beehive where a brain should be does NOT help, let me tell you that.

I just. Can't focus on shit lately. Can barely make it through a chapter when reading. Every day is just suddenly over, and I got nothing done, and I am so tired. I have a completely outlined short thing I have been trying to write since Nov, and it's like pulling teeth.

I could do with several months off work while everyone leaves me the fuck alone. How would that be.
