Posting these here, too. Since it's pride month, let's do omens headcanons pride edition.

Aromantic!Noah has a special place in my heart. He'd be allo- and bisexual. Can’t feel romantic love, at all. "Romantic" is not in his vocabulary. He cares a lot about his friends and will show that sometimes by doing things that one would normally label "romantic" but his friends get him and understand that's not what it is.

Lately he's been feeling a pull towards more feminine clothing, but can't exactly pinpoint where this need is coming from. Likes being called baby boy, but flushes bright red when they call him their princess. It’s a clusterfuck of emotions, he's not ready yet.

Nicky is panromantic and ace. And Genderfluid. They/He/She pronouns. Falls in love fast, and hard. He doesn't know how to *not* love and he's fine with that. Kisses his friends good morning and good night.

Jolly is bi. He/him. The one that knows all about kink. He's very masculine. Also poly. A little bit in love with all his friends, and he shows it by being attentive to their needs, boundaries, and limits. His love language is gentle, comforting touches, small gifts, warm meals (he's got all of their favorite foods memorized)

Folio is heterosexual and panromantic. Boy loves his nail polish and leather skirts. He's not sexually attracted to his friends, but he'll cuddle and kiss them until they're sick of him if they ask. Kissing his friends isn't sexual or romantic to him, it’s how he shows his affection. Noah in particular likes it when he and Folio cuddle up together on the coach and Folio peppers kisses all over his face.

hey btw if you're in the USA at  2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4, they're testing the emergency broadcast system. your phone is probably going to make a really loud noise, even if it's on silent. there's a backup date on the 11th if they need to postpone it.

if you're not in a safe situation and have an extra phone, you should turn that phone completely off beforehand.

additionally, if you're like me, and are easily startled; i recommend treating it like a party. have a countdown or something. be surrounded by your loved ones. take the actions you personally need to take to make yourself safe.

i have already seen mockery towards any person who feels nervous about this. for the record, it completely, completely valid to have "emergency broadcast sounds" be an anxiety trigger. do not let other people make fun of you for that. emergency sounds are legitimately engineered to make us take action; those of us with high levels of anxiety and/or neurodivergence are already pre-disposed to have a Bad Time. sometimes it is best to acknowledge that the situation will be triggering for some, and to prepare for that; rather than just saying "well that's stupid, it's just a test."

"loud scary sound time" isn't like, my favorite thing, but we can at least try to prevent some additional anxiety by preparing for it. maybe get yourself a cake? noise cancelling headphones? the new hozier album? whatever helps. love u, hope you're okay. we are gonna ride it out together.
