🍈 Who’s your blorbo and what are some of your favorite headcanons/ideas about them that repeatedly show up in your fics? Free pass to rant about blorbo opinions. 

To preface this, I love all the boys. They're all very cute/adorable/hot/attractive (take your pick), and they all are amazing musicians and very, very talented! But I think I do let my bias show a lot, so it would come to no surprise when I say my fav is Bojan. (I’m basic ik, but have you looked at his big ass puppy eyes?) 

If you read my fics, you might already guess what this is going to entail. I generally love that he's absolutely tiny next to the others (I’m sure he hates that fact, but it’s cute and him being pocket sized makes it so much funnier, sorry, puppy boi, you're three blueberries stacked on top of each other, I don't make the rules and neither do you). But that’s not a headcanon right?

So yeah, some headcanons I love are writing about him whining and whimpering and begging. He's a vocal boi, so it just makes sense to me.

We also all know about his little naps, and one of my headcanons is him just dropping immediately once he goes tired, idk, it's just very cute, I think. 

One of my absolute fav headcanons is him loving to get manhandled, but once again, we've seen him enjoy being pushed around, so is that really a headcanon or is it just… him?

There are probably a lot more and I think I unintentionally keep bringing up the same things in my fics, if you have any questions about that, feels free to ask some more 😊☺️

🥝 What’s your favorite trope/AO3 tag to write?

Ohhhh, that's interesting, ngl. I like writing a lot of different things and I like reading a thousand things more… but I think my favorite trope to write atm might be friends to lovers, sharing one bed, tour bus is also quiet nice (and very JO focused 😂).

I also tend to like a lot of smutty tropes, like biting and hair pulling, but idk if we then go over into the kink side of the tags and less trope-y 😅

🍍 What kind of AUs do you like? Are there any AUs you hate or just generally have beef with? 

Usually I really like most AUs! It all depends on how it's portrayed and if I like the author or not. But generally I really enjoy supernatural AUs, like Vampires, witches and demons and stuff, but I also am really font of a good dæmon fic (I love the concept of having a little animal companion that is literally your soul, reminds me of familiars of witches and I love that). 

I do also enjoy a nice sports AU if it's not too focused on the sport and makes me read about matches and rules and an accurate paragraph long description of technical gameplay, if I want to read a rulebook I can watch a yt tutorial or google. I also like a good f1 AU.

The classical ones like College AU and Coffee shop, tattoo parlor/flower shop are also so nice to read and always make me happy! 

So there is generally no AU I could say I have beef with from the top of my mind… ohhhhh, okay, no, there is one! 

I don't really enjoy Space AUs… like… the funky Guardians of the Galaxy types or Star Wars or Star Trek are nice and fine. It's space horror that freaks me out, when ppl get lost in space and have to either survive or die alone in the middle of nothing. That might also have to be connected to my dislike of cosmic horror that happens in space (like the Alien movies, which I don't dislike, but just can't appreciate the way other ppl can). If it's like… Alien invasion and it happens on earth its different tho, then it's funky and fun again.

Space is incredibly beautiful and I'm so fascinated by planets, the milky way and solar systems and all the Star signs and constellations, but at the same time I just think I don't like the vastness of it as well as the sheer nothingness and the ominous nature of it all. Maybe it's also just existential dread I feel when I think of it, but I just am not having a good time when I'm being anxious, so yeah 😅

HOL Gaming thoughts part 2!!!

I'm three bounties in and next time I play I'll be starting the skrendel bounty yayyy... starting with gameplay related talk and then some more plotpoint related stuff later in the post

I'm getting a better hand at the controls but I will tell you the gyro controls are only notable for when you lock in on a target or when you use the trick hole ability. A little annoying but the stick controls are fine

Parkour / platforming is relatively solid, though I wish there were more indications of where to go besides the sensor as I can pinpoint times ive nearly gone in circles here. Knife's grappling reigns supreme.

Gus is my favorite gun to have out atm. The disks work wonders in clearing out enemies, his main bullets kill enemies quick and his dialogue is the most pleasant. And ofc it's wonderful that he catches on to the Dr. Joopy scheme.

Also I'm convinced that for half his lines they just get JB Smoove to react in real time to the gameplay bc those lines abt fighting doug's empty suit sound way too gyatt damn genuine.

Greebles and mytes are a free headache. At least it's relatively easy to suck mytes into field of view with Gus.

All that being said and even though she insulted me for my shit aim i'm excited to try playing with sweezy esp with her automatic fire. and ofc to see what she has to say too!!

Knifey combos are the best feeling ever. Parrying disks and stabbing crystal-full enemies is gonna carry me through this game.

it's honestly kind of sad/scary to think abt the state douglas is in if you shoot him before he gets to his suit. Imagine actively dying and KNOWING YOU ARE MORTALLY WOUNDED and having to rely on the people who are trying to kill you to get you to your possible saving grace and being stuck in a pipe, no less!! I'd feel worse abt it if he didn't torture people to death as a living/hobby

also THE DIALOGUE OF THE MERKS HERE GOT A GIGGLE OUTTA ME NGL... esp the "god i hope douglas likes torture for sexual reasons" merk that took me out esp the other guy's total disgust w/ him after that

and how can i forget the nipulon vs giblets debate....

speaking of dialogue... quartermaster moppet saying krubis walked in AND KILLED THEIRR ENTIRE FAMILY??? IN FRONT OF THEM?? PERSONALLY?? bro is literally like puppy kicking levels of evil. hater from day 1. he's fucking sickening and it's awesome

but this sort of stuff also makes me think... gurgula is less scary because he's "especially evil" and more so because he's competent with a goal that's a little more cryptic and sophisticated than the petty vies for money and power and satisfaction that lead the G3 in their own crimes. not to mention how he actually succeeds in his goal as of the end of the game and is able to manipulate everyone around him and the general sense that the reality / extent of the brutality and widespread death seems to finally kick in. and you can't really laugh at him much ... yet >:) i see those crocs boy

and i mention him again bc. the bounty hunter forums. with the second clue found it appears he's outright able to suppress information about himself which is pretty scary. i assume its his own technical prowess given how he's able to persevere the info he needs but wipe everything in his lab the SECOND he knows an intruder is in there... but it is also funny to imagine it's some technology or code he got or learned from Giblets

in general i really really love the bounty hunter forums they're so authentic and really add to the world. they make me actually want to play and grind... without them id still be running from mytes when i really should be killing them to read the full forum post....

FIONA FISH STICK THEYLL NEVER MAKE ME HATE YOU!! YOU'LL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS!! she seems so nice it makes me so sad that everyone is so mean to her :(((((

Speaking of mean.... I do enjoy checking out Lizzie's dialogue when you actually approach her and talk to her and it makes me feel so bad that im taking gene side's more often so i can get the ending where she kills tweeg... you can tell she's so afraid of losing people esp bc all her friends she mentioned in the beginning are probably dead... and if they aren't then they could be miles away... im glad there's an option to hear her out and ask abt her day without gene bitching to me (and i don't hate gene or anything he's funny but let's be real here it would suck to lose your normal life and then risk losing your only family member to a bounty hunter lifestyle bc of an alien you've just met)

i do think im gonna take the jetpack to valley bluff/ krubis's mech before i start skrendel hunting to see if it's possible to peek inside the mech or at least stand on the balcony... tee hee!!!

well with that big moment having happened and me taking a break to cook I think now's a good time to ramble a bit on my P3R feelings as they stand atm!

so first and most importantly, I am enjoying the game. I say this first and with importance bc the initial ~10-15 hours felt so....stilted and strange that I wasn't sure I'd vibe with it and while I didn't consider dropping the game, I def considered going at P4G first instead

but I'm glad I stuck with it bc - as I'd kinda assumed - that weirdness was largely intentional and in service of a story that's kinda only gotten better as it's gone on, a deliberate slow burn approach I simply wasn't expecting but can appreciate now. maybe it's not super perfectly paced and there's stuff I do object to or have issues with as far as narrative goes, but it's definitely gotten its hooks deep in me

far as the rest of the game goes tho I will say it's largely positive still but a bit more mixed in places - the combat system's so snappy and responsive, I've lost hours to just trawling Tartarus, Elizabeth's requests and hangouts are largely fun if a bit tedious when it comes to fusion ones, the music's solid but I feel weirdly....thin? lacking? like it feels there's only a few tracks which I know isn't true lol but it feels like I only ever hear 2-3 different songs

social links are....ehhhh. there's been some I've gotten invested in and others I haven't really touched. there's shockingly little to do after you finish stat grinding too which I find odd given the plethora of stuff you could do in P5R - some of which I only ever got to do like, once lmao. there only being like three places is also still kinda weird but not a bad thing necessarily - just makes the world feel smaller

still wish there was more you could do with SEES. the bonding moments you get in the dorm are largely cool but limited while the link episodes are a neat concept but making them optional and thus missable feels like a mistake imo. I've only done Yukari's social link proper to this point and I genuinely can't believe they locked character shit like this behind max stats and certain start dates, it's gone a long way for her character as I'm sure the rest will for the other gals

I went into this game with the mindset of not comparing it too much to P5R and I've largely stuck with that - but it's hard not to in places, too. P5R felt like it was bursting with content, good or otherwise, that wasn't all in service of one of two things, whereas P3R comes across as a bit hollow given it kinda just becomes social link > SEES moment/Tartarus exploration > social link > SEES moment/Tartarus etc. after you finish the social stat grind

and I will say on the topic that I am finding the main narrative a bit less gripping than P5R's did, which felt ever-changing yet no less engaging. here it's been kind of a one-track focus with little deviation or depth given on the matter for huge swaths of the runtime and I do find that a bit odd. it's still fine and enjoyable, I still wanna know where it goes, but I feel it kinda has a habit of spinning its wheels a bit too much too - tho I'm sure this'll be alleviated by the end of the game

so. yeah. on the whole, game good! if I had to rate it atm I'd probably go with an 8 at worst - it might be a bit slow and a bit more empty than what I'm used to, but the characters, aesthetics and gameplay kinda make up for a lot of my issues. I'm hoping the story can pick back up and stay going at some point - this thing where the plot only really moves every 30 in-games days is getting to feel like a bit of a slog tbh - but I don't see a version of this game that I don't come away loving

just how much tho is gonna depend on these next ~40? hours
