Most of them yes!! I LOVE getting comments I screenshot and save every one I get.

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Hm- I guess it depends. Hellscape ends with Carmen's internal monologue just before she gets mind-wiped by VILE, but its technically no angstier than canon. they gave you life (and in return you gave them hell) is pretty angsty the whole way through and examines Carmen's trauma.

Those are both little one-shots, though- I usually end my reigns of terror within chapter fics pretty happily if I can manage it. The Phantom AU (linked above) ends in a dark place but leagues brighter than it seemed to be heading towards. It isn't a terribly neat and happy ending, and it tells a story of trauma and attempted suicide and the road to recovery from these. Let's go with that one.

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

In Love Is A Locked Cell Door Chase Devineaux and Crackle happily start making out in a jail cell and live happily ever after!

Ok, being serious-

For a one-shot, simple (linked above) starts happy and ends happier.

For a chapter fic, Choice ends with Carmen, Julia, and Gray all living in a very happy polycule pardoned from the law with full emotional control of their lives which is fun :]

8. do you get hate on fics?

@emily-prentits used to leave passive aggressive comments on my wattpad and we would fight in the comments sections 💀now we're partners so make of that what you will. but anyway, no serious ones, no!

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

No, not really! I have a few "fade-to-blacks" or skip-overs without any detail. The one time I tried writing smut it was really forced and hard for me to write...doesn't help that I've never felt sexual attraction in my life so I don't know about that. Curse you asexuality for taking papertiger handcuff sex away from the world.

10. do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one you've written?

No, I'm not a fan of crossovers

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

I've had one or two...heavily referenced. Not in bad faith, but it was funny to see a lot of my plot and prose mannerisms reworded in a younger author's fic. I think they credited me as inspiration or gifted it to me both times so its not a big deal.

I have an au where paper star and black sheep escape VILE together and go through a sort of friends to lovers to enemies deal as carmen (renamed cardinal here due to never escaping in the boat the way she does in canon), though influenced by paper star at the start, eventually finds her inevitable path of good while paper star slips into a chaos that cardinal just can't stomach

ill paste a snippet here that i wrote but its a little bit long and complex and i dont have a ton of motivation for it

cohesive plot...lord help me i cannot plan a fic to the end before i post chapter 1 and it bites me in the ass all the time

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

if there's a small amount of it, i usually write it as-is in the other language and use external sources or context clues to explain it. if a lot of dialogue is in another language, I'll put it in brackets and write it in english!

20. favorite fic you've written?

that's really hard- i'm going to do top three in no particular order SORRY

Love, Carmen - this was the first or one of the first fics I ever wrote. it put me on the map a little bit (wattpad..) in terms of writing and boosted upon the sword and choice when they came along. it was really fun to just be young and writing after finishing all two released seasons of the show. i still like it a lot. its just cute and simple.

the phantom au - what a labor of love. i've had other fics (evil carlotta series, cough cough) that have been long and complex but those strayed into meandering and pointless and i lost a lot of motivation. phantom combined my love of theater with my favorite show and my hunger for angst angst angst. it was super fun to write and, at the risk of sounding vain, i pulled off a very hard to pull off trope at the end and i think i did it well. i think if you read any one of mine, this highlights a lot of my strengths.

the cardinal and the kitten - this is a popular one of mine that kind of serves as an updated love, carmen. i really enjoy how i wrote carmen and julia playing off of each other and my dialogue is very strong in this one.

okay, sorry about how long that was i treated it like a professional interview. i had a lot of fun writing this instead of working on a very important school project

Scooter Legacy 2020 - generations 1-9

ya know, I was gonna make individual posts about the old generations of this save, since they're coming here from their old home on dreamwidth, but I'm really lazy so we'll just go with the one. a primer post. why not.

for a bit of background, I started this save in the middle of the start of the pandemic, right after completing another legacy, and I blasted through this thing in like, 2 years? I had never felt so fuckin productive. let’s ignore the fact that stopped playing for 1.25 years after generation 8 though. okay.

to the shock of nobody, each colour-coded generation had some story that eventually just devolved into pure gameplay. listen when i tell you i'm a one trick fuckin pony, i mean it. here's what happened:

Generation 1: Percy Scooter and Sebastian Park. my founders. Percy was the sheltered only child of a rich old Chinese woman who hired Sebastian to be her butler and personal service worker. awkward enemies to lovers plot ensues. they had 2 kids: Ollie (who died as a child) and Josie.

fun fact: I was looking at my timeline and it makes perfect sense that Percy's mother, Francie Chen, would've been the younger sister of Chen Ruiyang (Lucky Legacy). they even had the same last name. so I made that canon. duh.

Generation 2: Josie Scooter and Matangi Silva. childhood friends. Mat left town to become a vet, and Josie tracked him down to continue their fledgling romance they had as teenagers. they also had a fuck ton of animals, one of which was the iconic Mayor Whiskers. they had 1 kid: Randy.

Generation 3: Randy Scooter and Collin Pix. Randy, Collin and Ripp Grunt from TS2 were roommates at a college that psychologically broke down students before selling them to aliens for Nefarious purposes. it was kind of a lot. they ran away to Sulani and had 3 kids: Willow, Xander and Landon.

Generation 4: Landon Scooter and Toro Katalunan. childhood friends that reunited as adults that tackled off the grid living together. their friendship and eventual romance persisted through awkward misunderstandings and island ghosts. they had two children: Kai and Sully.

Generation 5: Sully Scooter and Ori Delgado. Ori guided Sully through the jungle in the search of a cure for the genetic condition they were born with (I also brought this up during my flop reclaimed roots legacy). kissing ensued. they had three children: Luca, Brianna, and Damián.

side note: I also started a side story about the Strangerville mystery that coincides with this generation. this family went on to spawn Dakota Dinh, co-founder of the Lucky Legacy. it's all circular y'know?

Generation 6: Damián Scooter and Hari Rotan. I fucking hated this generation because it was Eco Lifestyle. I don't remember the story and I don't want to. they had two kids: Laila and Yasmin.

Generation 7: Laila Scooter and Kawahara Koichi. Laila, a giant fucking twat, goes to university and makes enemies with everyone except the anti-social weirdo that loves robotics. then they terrorised Evergreen Harbour together. they had one child: Xavier, who they sorta neglected ngl lmfao

Generation 8: Xavier Scooter and Fayrouz al-Dimashqi. my FAVOURITE! generation. Xavier, a traumatised individual, moves to San My and has his icy heart opened up by the warm and welcoming Fayrouz. unfortunately, he died before his time, leaving Fayrouz a widow. they had one child: Kaleb.

Generation 9: Kaleb Scooter and Natasha Deleon. Kaleb and his gf Jaesha, family vloggers, are pressured into a wedding for their viewers, which is being planned by Natasha, Kaleb's childhood friend. they run away together from Kaleb's livestreamed wedding. they had three kids: Aaron, Evan, and Naomi.

which leads us to where we are today, with Naomi and Taryn forming Generation 10, and Dexter about to launch Generation 11. let's see where this goes next!

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - Sky Breaker: WARNING: SPOILERS!!!

1. Getting to run alongside the Zakru on Pa'li was the bomb. My GOD! THEY ARE MASSIVE!!

2. My son has made friends 💙 he's even hanging with Nopsi (a zakru!!!)

Nopsi loves him!!

3. My favourite old ladies are back!! (Love Nafiki calling Anufi darling!): side note, I ship it!

4. Ri'nela really coming into the Storyteller part of being Sarentu!

5. Mokasa's back. And he still has the balls to play victim here. Tried coming at Alma and throwing my mother's name in my face as if he wasn't the reason Alma even knew about them in the first place. Ugh! This bitch!

6. Oh don't mind me, just admiring my giant babies as I make them feel pretty💙

7. It's offical guys. Teylan is our little Anti-Gremlin 💙

(Dammit, no more photos!!)

8. The Games were so fun!! My favorite's the horseback archery challenge! And how does Eetu get to places so quickly!?!🤣

9. Teylan rode a pa'li. The both of them were terrified 😂 don't worry buddy, you'll get there!

10. The RDA are back, they seem to be taking special interest in Anufi and Alma. Guess they're not happy she's back in the driver seat as the Kame'tire's leader.

11. Was not expecting us to be knocked out for several days. Thankfully, it seems the core cast is okay. Mokasa is shooketh over Alma pulling him out of the rubble. Still a dick though.

12. They literally made a Valkyrie crash just to take out as many Na'vi as possible. Assholes.

The poor Zakru were either killed in the blast or fled in the chaos, Nesim is furious (rightfully so) and Harding's back.

13. Anufi and Alma have been kidnapped and Teylan confirmed that the brainscap machine could give someone brain damage and kill em, basically meaning that Spider could have literally died hadn't Quaritch pulled him out.

14. Was freaking out so bad during the NeroSect bit that I only got Alma out by 20 secs. And Harding was drowning Anufi in oxygen!?! WTF!!!

Also, Mokasa came in clutch, saving us at the last minute! But he got shot. Yikes.

15. Okay, maybe I get why people felt Harding's death was lackluster, but it certainly wasn't easy, so I don't know what people were talking about there.

But maybe just a cutscene of her crawling toward us with a pistol to give us that final farewell would be notch.

16. Mokasa finally takes responsibility for his actions toward the Sarentu and the Kame'tire and even has a moment of understanding with Alma. He rests with Eywa now.

17. It's over now. All those that remained of TAP are gone, so all that's left is the Secret of the Spires, DLC. And it makes me wonder who that have planned for the big bad. Surely Nor is gonna make a return, but I doubt he is gonna be the bad guy.

Pros; loved everything.

The new legendary tier weapons and gear, the development of the characters (my baby boy Teylan has grown so much) the colours of the Heartlands animals was stunning (pa'li could have been better) and the upgrade skills bonus was a clever way to spend the points you keep racking up (though that stops when you spend a final 5 points every skill bubble)

Cons; Glitches

There were a lot more glitches this time around. First, one of the Contributions Baskets isn't working and it's ironically the main camp one. I've given it like 20 seeds already and still nothing.

And then there was a tremor machine that was freaking out one of the runaway Zakru, but when I went to hack it to turn it off, nothing happened? Only when I blew it up with a grenade arrow did it work. Or maybe that was just me being a stup 😋

Either way, I loved everything about this DLC, glitches aside and it was a good addition to the Sarentu story and I can't wait to see what happens next.

And I'm almost finished with my Sarentu OC, so stay tuned for that. Buh-bye!!

Favorite D20 Villains

Just for some positivity on this, and because it's been a minute since I did a tier or ranking list, have my ten favorite Dimension 20 villains! I'm not going to include anyone from Junior Year since it's still running, and I'm going to go ahead and mention that I'm not including Ragh or Aelwyn who could both easily make this list otherwise because they've spent as much or more time on the Intrepid Hero's side as they did villains.

Obviously, there are potential spoilers in this list, so proceed at your own risk! I'm putting a read more link here just to save people who haven't seen a lot of seasons.

10. Galfast Hamhead, Escape from the Bloodkeep.

Okay I know this one is cheating because the party are the villains and Galfast is, like, the one actually good figure on the opposing side, but I'm still counting her. Just an absolute tour de force in the parts of the series she appears in, and gets away even though she technically loses to the party.

9. Natalia Cicero Connie Lee Carter Bajar, A Starstruck Odessey

She's not the most threatening villain in ASO, but there are really three fronts where villains can work for me: They can be hammy and fun, they can be actually threatening and scary, and they can be someone I desperately would love to see get taken down. Natalia scores all her points in the first and last of these categories; she's not scary, but her entire concept is just so stupid that it makes me laugh every time.

Bonus points for being the target of what I think is the best joke in ASO - high praise - the "My fiancee doesn't really do art" - "I agree" by Ally.

8. Robert Moses, The Unsleeping City.

I believe the only actual person to ever be a main villain in Dimension 20. Genuinely a monster of American history; I was familiar with him prior to watching The Unsleeping City but I would wager that I was in a fairly slim minority. There's some problems with the presentation here and the details of it - I am guessing they would have just made him a powerful vampire if this season was more recent, for one - but I can't say I wouldn't want Robert Moses' plan thwarted. Probably the closest we'll ever come to actually having a campaign fight Ronald Reagan directly.

7. The Stepmother, Never After

Never After for me has a structural problem in that there are too many ideas stuffed into too short a season, and so quite a lot of it feels extremely half-baked. The Stepmother isn't immune to this, but she's also an actual imposing figure for much of the series that feels like a true threat to the party even after they prove that a TPK isn't enough to stop them. The scene where Ylfa looks before they head to the Lines Between is maybe the best Never After has to offer, for me.

6. Madame Loathing, Mentopolis

Honestly, this feels like a more full version of the Stepmother in many ways even though there are only six episode. This is probably because she's not competing with like five other factions in her villainy. The moment where she turns is great, and there's something very satisfying about landing a twist where the villain was someone so obvious that they were dismissed by many as too obviously evil to actually be the main evil.

5. The First Stoats, Burrow's End

Here I'm referring to the four that remained at Last Bast; I think the series in some ways peaked with fighting them, though certainly there were some highlights still to come. I don't think Aabria necessarily meant for this fight to go down at the time and place that it did, but genuinely creepy designs with a creamy layer of fascism on top.

4. Tony Simos, Unsleeping City 2

Remember those three categories? Tony here scores real, real big in the "I wanna see him die" category. He's not the worst person on this list (that's honestly probably Robert Moses), but he's the one I most wanted to see get crushed, and ultimately was in an extremely satisfying way. TUC2's villain duo was overall incredible - we'll revisit that in a moment - but I cheered more when Tony dropped than any other villain D20's ever had.

It is what it could be, asshole.

3. Calroy Cruller, A Crown of Candy

Do you know what I've always hated about you, Amethar?

There's a lot of people who would have this guy at the top of their lists, and I really don't blame them; the main thing holding him back for me is that he really doesn't do very much after that crowning monologue until he goes out like a chump at the end of the steamroll that is ACoC's last battle. (Those of you calling JY's last fight easy should rewatch that one). It is, admittedly, the most satisfying of any of the villain deaths of that finale, especially with Liam's baffling last second resurrection of broccoli pope and captain carrot. Scores very well on all three fronts, and honestly if Amethar had actually died there or if he'd just been front and center at the end then he'd maybe be number two for me.

2. Null, Unsleeping City 2

A dip into real eldritch horror, and does it better than Never After in part because it stands out more against the backdrop of New York. Null scores great on the threatening front; a monstrosity of apathy and depression and lack of connection is a hell of a villain. The world where Pete doesn't roll that crazy banishment check and vanishes partway through the season would have maybe robbed us of some of the insight into this, so I'm glad we got the one that we did.

Kalina, Fantasy High Sophomore Year

This was never going to be anyone else. Kalina's getting points on all three fronts, but conceptually is just an incredible concept for a villain, feels like a real threat throughout the season until the moment they dispel her, and you can feel the amount the players both want to take her down and are in fact worried about her throughout the season. Because of her nature she's able to show up repeatedly without a fight without that not really making sense, which is kind of hard to pull off - most of the villains on this list aren't met much after their villainy is revealed. We'll see if she's back at the end of Junior Year and what kind of state Cass ends up in, but either way we'll always have spring break.

Long winded rant of me talking about NSB, doing a new series, storytelling and whatever else I talked about under the cut, feel free to read it's just me rambling, I don't really care if ppl read it or not it's VERY long 😭

I've been painfully itching to start a new series, I know I'm doing NSB rn, and I do plan to at least finish the normal NSB legacy (up to Gen 9), although I might finish or take a break at around Gen 5 or 6, just because I don't wanna lose motivation and also because it takes A LOT to make some of these posts (for example, the last NSB post... took a lot out of me), and I'm only on Gen 2, almost Gen 3 rn, and I was originally planning to do all 30 or 40 Gens in the updated ver of NSB, which def doesn't seem like it'll be happening right now, because at the current rate at which I post, and how fast things in my game move, Sims 6 will be out before I even finish Gen 30 😭😭

Anyways, I don't know what the series would be about, if I were to do a new series, it would definitely be a lot more story based, if not completely story based, I don't know if I'd do/include gameplay, but I really wanna dive into more storytelling and setting up scenes, I'm not a film or theatre kid by any means, and I really don't know much about writing and setting up scenes and stuff, to be honest, i don't even know how I storytell, I guess it's just regurgitated content molded to shape the statue of my story if that makes sense lmao, I guess it's also the art of using so many fucking metaphors and similes that doing something like comparing love to drowning in a cold ocean comes sorta easy to me? I'm not grammatically inclined and don't know a lot about punctuation, my teachers all kinda gave up on me in English class, so all of my writing is basically self taught, which I guess is the case for a lot of things I do- I feel like starting a new series would help me learn how to write better, even though it seems like a lot of ppl love my writing, I still feel like I could improve so much and do so much better. I already have a couple ideas in mind for a new series, I don't think I'll say much rn just in case I decide to make them a series, but as for right now, I've got plans for Gen 3 NSB (aka Calico), and if I were to start a new series, I would not stop playing NSB, but due to how I function and shit, I would have to put NSB on hiatus, I kind of have a hard time doing two stories at once, hence why Sharkie's story got put on hiatus, because it was too stressful for me to double up, especially with how often I post (at least 3 or 4 times a week), I would like to go back and play Sharkies story and share her story up to this point where I last played her, her story is a lot more gameplay centered (for example, I am more inclined to make a blender scene for NSB, then Sharkie, for Sharkie, I'd do stuff like go to the bar and see how it plays out and take screenshots and just edit those) which I like more, but that's not to say I don't enjoy NSB, because I equally LOVE storytelling as I do gameplay.

While writing this, I did think of something I could do, which would be posting NSB every other week (so one week I do Sharkie or some other series and then the next week I do NSB, then a diff series, so on so forth), the only problem is that usually when I get an idea, and I finish that idea, I like to post it asap, I'm not good at scheduling posts lmao, but it might be worth it if people want to see another series (that is if anyone is still reading up to this point lol), I'd like to channel my storytelling into a more story based save/story, but idk! I'm just kinda doing my thing rn and I'm at a point where i wanna do something different. I especially wanna start doing more in blender, it just takes fucking forever to do some of the stuff I wanna do, and some of it means learning new stuff which is thrice as hard and takes thrice as long compared to normal posing and stuff 😭

2. Which of your WIPs is currently the longest?:

come and take a walk on the wild side is currently 60k and does not show ANY sign of stopping right now.

3. Which WIP do you expect will end up the longest?

I'm thinking either the Old West AU or the 1940s AU simply because I plan to do such vast world building.

4. Which WIP is your favourite to write/the most enjoyable to write? Why?

Old West AU for sure, but that's also where most of my mind has been on my upcoming WIPs. I'm going to love revisiting the "We'll Always Have Paris" verse though.

5. Which WIP do you find the most intimidating to write? Why?

Either the 1940s AU because it's a case fic and I'll have to put a lot of thought into that b-plot or the On the Lam AU because it's not going to be the most sanitized storytelling.

Neither Carlos nor Tk is the villain, but the world won't see it that way.

6. Which WIP do you experience the most self-doubt about. Why?

I think it's yesterday's love was a warm summer breeze, the sequel to summer slipped us underneath her tongue.

I didn't expect so many people to be excited for the sequel, let alone love the story so much, so I'm just hoping I continue doing justice to that little world.

7. Which of your WIPs will you seek out a beta/sensitivity reader for? Why?

I'm not sure, I think I might need a sensitivity reader for these eyes don't cry simply because I've never written a therapist before.

8. Have any of your WIPs been struck by the curse of writer's block?

come and take a walk on the wild side was on the mend for a second there, but right now the inspiration is back. TK's interlude is being written, ya'll!

9. Which WIP has your favourite OC? Tell us about them?

If you've read any of my AUs you know I LOVE a good OC so this is like asking me to pick a favorite child.

Ruth Baker is an office clerk in the Old West AU who I simply just adore. I get to write things like this:

Roy chuckles and it’s both sinister and mocking. “Oh Reyes, what I actually want to say wouldn’t be polite to do so in such,” Roy’s eyes glance over at Ruth, they land on her chest for a little too long. “Feminine company.” “Eat shit, Roy.” Ruth’s cigarette doesn’t move as she says it, not once looking up from her typewriter.

10. Which WIP is the sexiest?

come and take a walk is sexy but it's not the couple you necessarily want to root for so that might be subjective. Though, I do get write fun moments like this:

“God,” Hartlock emphasizes the word, putting a mix of exasperation and desperate, wanton longing. TK’s aware of where this is going and decides to lean into it. He lowers himself on his lap, straddling him. Hartlock welcomes him, as if his lap is a spot made for TK. “You are such a handful.” He places his hands on TK’s hips, reaches under his shirt and touches his bare skin. his fingertips feeling like a sunburn. TK leans in and whispers, “I know, but that’s what you’ve got two hands for.” He presses his lips against Sam’s neck, kissing it with intent. Hartlock gives in to the moment, his hands looking to grab purchase on TK’s skin.

If we're talking strictly Tarlos sexy; toss up between the Old West AU and the Bodyguard AU (for now 🤭)

11. Which WIP is the angstiest?

Definitely these eyes don't cry. That said, it's almost been one of the most fun to write; so what does that really say about me 🥴

12. Which WIP has the best characterisation (in your humble opinion)?

I write so many AUs so it's hard to say who's extremely true to the show, but maybe these eyes don't cry since it's exploring what the show has given us as Carlos?

13. Which WIP has the best scene setting (in your humble opinion)?

Old West AU most likely. That's one I'm really take my time with the world building on. By the end of you're going to be so sick of hearing about dim bar lightning, crooked streams and blood crusted eyebrows.

14. Which WIP have you worked the hardest on?

Right now, it's probably yesterday's summer love was a warm summer breeze since I made both TK and Carlos' journey in the Parisian Summer AU so detailed. Now I have to keep it going LMAO

15. Which WIP do you have the highest expectations for? Why?

Old West AU because I'm finally writing things I've always wanted to give myself the chance to write. Cowboys, religious imagery, a fully fleshed arc and hey, the smut is kind of just icing on the cake at this point.

16. Do you dream about any of your WIPs?

I actually just had one (as in TODAY) and I dreamed I wrote half a chapter of two of them and just POSTED THEM??

17. Do any of your WIPs have particular complexities that your other fics don't?

I'm hesitant to say other stories won't have these things going forward, come and take a walk on the wild side really does utilize the non-linear storytelling tag and the unreliable narrator tag.

You're not supposed to agree with TK often, but that's the point.

That said, I love an unreliable narrator so I can't say it won't show up again. It just doesn't show up in the other works I'm working on, right now.

18. Which WIP is the funniest or has the most humour?

Either Lone Star Lately or Beauty Lingers Out of Reach. Lone Star Lately is literally a workplace rom-com au that teeters the line of enemies to lovers it's gotta be FILLED with humor.

19. Do any of your WIPs contain outside POVs or a deep dive on a character other than the main ship? How are you finding that process?

Owen's arc is actually the B Plot of the Witness Protection AU! I love a good b-plot (and sometimes even a c-plot) and this one is no different.

Due to being in the Witness Protection program and not being able to be out in the public eye as often as he used to, he can't be a firefighter for the time being. So, now he has to figure out who he is when he's not his job.

20. Tell us one thing we don't know about one or more of your WIPs.

Four of these AUs already have sequels outlined - some are multi-chapter, some are just really long one-shots

I'm actually working on one that's a giant secret and I can't wait to share it with all of you (it's been a blast to write so far)

20 Questions For Fic Writers

So, I am brand new to the posting fics online scene and don't have much to back up these questions with. Most of what I've written are personal WIPs I will probably never release if finished, and I don't release much due to my inability to finish stories as well as my writing mostly being personal. So, since I've only got two released fics out due to this, I'm going to use my WIPs to answer some of these.

Thanks so much to @daboyau for the tag! This was fun!

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

2 at the moment. Much of what I write is personal or I don't finish it, so I haven't released many.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

29,684, though with all my countless WIPs it's around 500,000

3. What fandoms do you write for?

TMNT, TF2, Creepypasta, MLP, and Hetalia, though I've only posted one of the TMNT fics and the others will never see the light of day!

(They're not finished and won't be).

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Of the two that are on there, the 2003 Lighthouse AU ranks above Work or Death in kudos.

5. Do you respond to comments?

Of course! But I'm also a bit (a lot) antisocial, even on the Internet. So I know there's going to be comments I want to respond to but don't know how to 😅

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

So, I tend to fail no matter how hard I try at writing bad or angsty endings. Somehow everything always ends up going well for the characters, even if I want them to fail. I'm great at giving trauma, just not giving bad endings. I also don't finish a lot of what I write, so there's a small pool to pick from here.

That being said, there is one I know of where both of the endings were planned before I even started writing it, (and no, I'm not finished with it yet), and one of them is a "bad" ending, so to speak. I don't want to talk too much about it, since it is a personal project, but essentially the main character has traveled to a different time and place where an alternate version of her family exists, except all of them are dead but one of her brothers. A lot happens, of course, but it eventually ends up with him being so injured he's rapidly dying. She has the ability to heal him, but he tells her not to because he wants to be with his family again. They have a whole emotional conversation and he dies in her arms. And then she's reunited with her real brothers hours later and won't let the one who died in her arms go for days afterwards. So, like, a bittersweet type of thing.

And that is quite literally the only angsty ending I've ever written. Angsty middles, however, is all I do, and angsty beginnings are a specialty of mine.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

The good ending of the one above! After years of battling through several different places on the way home, most of which consisting of alternate versions of people she knew, she finally got to make it back to her real family! They thought she was dead, so the reunion is of course filled with tears and group hugs and a lot of feelings. But that technically happens in both endings. The thing that makes it the good ending is that she was able to save her alternate brother and take him home with her, so he had a new family to love. (Yes I know the new family being his old family is a whole thing that could be psychologically bad. I assure you there's circumstances in place that change that whole perspective, but it'd take forever to explain).

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not as of yet, but we'll see what happens! If I do, it's fine by me because I loved it enough to release it and that's all that matters to me.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I have indeed tried to write smut before. My brain apparently doesn't do that. But that was also a super long time ago when I didn't know as much about that whole subject as I probably should if I want to write it properly, so maybe I'll try again and see how it goes. Not really interested in writing it now though, with all the WIPs I have putting me so far away from that mindset.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I've never been super interested in crossovers. Official crossovers are cool to see, but I don't usually look beyond that. I've found a small handful of crossover fics I liked, but have never written any. I guess my brain just prefers to stay within the world I'm working with.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope! I hope I never do, but I'm aware it's always a possibility, unfortunately.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but if anyone ever wanted to, I'd be honored.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I was once writing an original story (that I still hope to finish one day) and was telling a guy I was talking to about it. He came up with his own character to help me beef up the story background a bit, and we had a whole storyline about his character meeting the MC. We were going to determine how he fit into the main plot once I'd developed it more. Sadly, I lost inspiration for that story and fell out of touch with that guy, so that most likely won't happen. But that's the closest I've come to co-writing anything, except for a little back-and-forth with @allyheart707. That was fun!

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

Uhhhh I'm not really into shipping? I enjoy seeing other people's ships, but I'm not majorly into the romance part of watching or reading things unless it's the main point of the story. So, if a ship isn't canon, then I'm not obsessed over it or looking for or making content for it.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Every. Single. One of them. There are a couple from my high school years I could care less about now, but all the others are still interests and still things I want to get finished. I have two original stories I already started writing, but got lost in the plot so I had to pause. I've got at least eight that I'm working on right now, all TMNT related except for two, and there's probably a couple more somewhere but I've lost track. But yeah I want to finish all of them. Once I can get them straight enough in my head to do so.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm pretty good with dialogue and character/world building. I tend to do a lot of go-with-the-flow with conversations, and I've been told they feel very natural. And I always know everything about who is in my story and why they are where they are and why the world or area is the way it is before I even start writing, which makes everything fall into place a lot easier.

I'm also pretty good at making small points, forgetting about them, and somehow coming up with something later on that connects perfectly with it in a way that makes it seem like that was the plan all along, even if it was done mysteriously enough the reader couldn't figure it out but the clues were all there. I really don't know how I do that, but I'm not complaining.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Plot. I'm horrible at developing a proper sequence of events or, you know, what we're even doing here. Are we fighting someone? Uh, maybe, but why? What'd they do? What are we trying to to stop them from doing? If we're not fighting someone, what world-saving quest are we going on, and what exactly are we meant to do on it? I have no clue. But everyone here is super developed and has a backstory and detailed list of powers if you need them. My go-with-the-flow attitude is a hindrance here because I can't connect everything if there's no greater picture to weave the threads through. Lighthouse is some strange outlier and I have no idea how it came together so cohesively.

I'm also not the best at describing things in a not straightforward kinda way. I can explain to you in detail how something looks and how the characters are moving and acting in the scene, but I can't do it in a fun way with analogies or flowing descriptions of emotions or any kind of whimsy to fill the scene out and immerse the reader further.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

If I specifically want the words spoken in the other language for a particular storytelling purpose, I'll do so. But only for, like, a couple words. If there needs to be longer sentences or conversation in another language, I'll clarify that that's happening and just write it in English. Unless I'm trying to make the reader feel like they're in the room but and don't know what the other characters are saying, maybe that'd work. But the couple times I've done it, it was the MC speaking in another language, so it felt more important to see it from her perspective and put it in English so the reader would understand her.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

TF2! My main character from one of my original works was originally my TF2 OC, but she ended up having such a complex story built around her that I pulled her out and gave her her own world. However, my first ever story was inspired by my uncle's book, and I believe it was meant to exist in his world. It doesn't have a fandom around it, as far as I know, but it was the first time I wrote within someone else's world. It was the first time I wrote at all, I'm pretty sure.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

My favorite one I've released is the 2003 Lighthouse AU, because it features my favorite turtle boys and took a lot of research to develop properly, and I love the way it came out. My favorite one I've written out of everything is the one I mentioned in 6 and 7. It's so complex and takes place at the almost end of a very long journey MC has taken to get home. So emotions are high, back stories are long, characters are tired and don't want to be here but still have to do this thing, and new bonds are created.

There's a lot that happens before the start of that story, but it's a personal work so I don't care too much for writing all that out. But it creates such a cesspool of history and emotion, all negative and positive mixed together, leading to certain character development moments I just constantly come back to and watch over and over again in my brain. And then there's the two endings that create whole separate sets of overwhelming emotions. I just can't get enough of my MC and her relationship with her alternate brother. They're perfect to me.

So it got a little wordy, whoops. I love talking about the stuff I write, and probably a little too much. And I would love to see @wendigomahana or @allyheart707 try this for themselves. Or just ignore it if you want. If anyone else happens to see this and wants to give it a shot, go for it!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? The Other Side of the Moon which is about Kotone (of Persona 3) trapped on the other side of the door her twin brother became, fending off Nyx. The idea was that the Arisato Twins were in SEES together, but when they sacrificed themselves she got shut out on the wrong side of the Sea of Souls keeping Nyx bound and in check, and thus faded out of everyone's cognition. It's about her being forgotten.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

oh gosh that's a really interesting question. I have a lot of shorts with happy endings. Maybe The Departure of the Great Returned Soul ? It's a Bunny and Raffles fic that ties in with the Great Ace Attorney, where they do a heist on the request of the mysterious Professor Moriarty. It ends with them gleefully escaping on a steamship together to start a life away from the oppressive English atmosphere after just having robbed the HECK outta Sherlock Holmes.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Only once, when someone jumped down my throat about one of my fics :shrug: Mostly I just get weird spam. Once someone dropped their whole idea of how they thought my xmen fic should be for three huge comments and I was just like 'what'.

9. Do you write smut? Quite a lot <3

10. Craziest crossover? uhhhhhhh, none written yet but how about this! Pathologic fanfic where Tomoko from Watamote gets isekaied into the Town on Gorkhon to fix it , and she was the only one the fates could pull. She teaches Nina Kaina's ghost what a fujoshi is. I'm planning on writing this one eventually.

15. What’s a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Probably Only Yesterday V_V It was a metal gear solid fix it fic about Dr. Strangelove rigging a time machine and going back to her NASA days to try and save Joy.

16. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue and characterization ^^ I'm often told i have the 'voice' of a character pretty down pat.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I'm a shit tier editor and tend to misuse commas in my excitement.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language? I try not to because if I don't know the language I don't want to google translate butcher it. I'd feel bad.

19. First fandom you wrote in? uhh...gosh, going all the way back to my unpublished notebook fanfic? probably Ace Attorney with my goofy FanAttorney . Published, I think it's Metal Gear, with Only Yesterday.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? oh gosh don't make me choose! it's cruel!!! Deicide so far has been a blast to write (One piece) , but it's not far enough along for me to say that one. I'm going to go niche here to bring eyes to a very special project of ours though: Fly Me To The Moon It's an Urusei Yatsura continuation set after their high school graduation. Lum convinces everyone to go to space with her as part of her plan to finally get Ataru to understand Oni behavior, only for Shinobu to find out she's not only an alien descendant, but also the last heiress to the kingdom that once prospered on the Moon. Shenanigans, a polycule, and unique Oni sexuality ensue as for once SHINOBU is the one some rando space prince is trying to kidnap to marry.

Inspiration: this prompt + BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish

Summary: Richie liked to play video games, and by some stroke of luck, it became his job. Being primarily known as Trashmouth on stream, he found his own little group of streamer friends and they became intertwined: The Losers Club. It never did feel quite complete, though. Well, until, he got his very own backseat gamer in chat.

TWs: innuendos, lots of talk of sex (it's Richie), cursing, brief mention of toxic relationships, and shameless flirting.

[[A/N: I’m on vacation so, expect slow updates. I still plan on releasing them regularly though. Enjoy :))]]

"What?" Stanley asked -blankly.

"I'm going to start my trip to Eds in a few hours," Richie repeated, "-like maybe one actually, what time is it?"

"For you? 9:30," Stan continued, confused, "-Didn't he say a month?"

"Shit, 30 minutes," Richie huffed out, rushing over to his bag and checking his shit -before running out the door and turning the key, "-Yeah, he did. He just... He got sick and tired of not being here, with me, and I'm not gonna say fucking no to that."

"You'd never say no to Eddie in any circumstances," Stan leveled, "-be honest."

"Yeah, okay, fair point," Richie agreed, more than walking down the staircase (hopefully not enough to fall).

"What about your streams?" He followed up with, carefully.

"Told them I would miss this week's, at the very least, and keep them updated otherwise," Richie answered, pushing out the door to the surprisingly sunny day. He didn't really absorb it though, slipping into the parking lot and then his car.

"So, on a limb," Stanley gathered, slowly, "-you're going to, unprepared mind you, travel through 10 states?"

Richie put his phone into the holder, switching it to speaker and throwing his bag into backseat, "Is it 10?"

"Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania," Stanley listed, "-not counting California and New York."

"Huh," Richie spoke, grabbing his snack bag and throwing it into his passenger seat, "-Don't worry Stanthony, Eddie won't let me push any limits on taking care of myself. He made me send my location to his phone-"

"Smart," he commented.

"-Both so he could track me and keep an eye on my stops and shit."

"That's what-" Stan seemed to pause, thinking, "-realistically, 6 days?"

"Yeah, I found this article that tells me like where to go and where to stop, and-" Richie pressed his lips together, trying to remember -buckling, "-I'm pretty sure it said 6. Or maybe 5."

"Bev knows about this right?" He asked.

"Yeah," Richie answered, seamlessly, and slowly backing up, "-she got me up at the fucking crack of dawn to get ready."

"And yet, you were still almost late," Stanley commented, "-Figures."

"Only because I wanted to call you," Richie pointed out, pulling forward and onto the road -his phone chimed about going straight. Richie did so.

"You could've done that earlier this morning, Rich," he refuted.

"No," Richie contradicted, "-Bev took my phone away. Made me get all my shit together."

Stan questioned further, "Did you even fill up on gas?"

"Bev did, this morning," Richie explained, "-made me pack while she took care of car shit."

"Car shit?"

"She cleaned it out," he clarified, "-for Eds, and also grabbed me a shit ton of snacks, a cooler-"

"Ah," Stan hummed in recognition, "-I see. You'll still probably need to stop to eat. Snacks only get you so far, Rich."

"Yeah, yeah, save the speech, Stanny," Richie rolled his eyes, "-I've got it from both Eds and Bev today. I get it."

"Just saying," he added, calmly, "-Patty says be safe."

"Tell her I will," Richie responded, instinctively, "-and that I love her very dearly."

"Love you too, honey," Patty called out, distantly, "-if you have any car troubles, call us, okay? We'll figure it out."

They really were like his makeshift parents. Fuck, Richie loved them so much.

"Thanks Patts," Richie chimed, smiling big and wide.

"I gotta go, Rich," Stanley sighed out, "-We're going out for breakfast, but keep me updated. Actually, send me your location too."

"I will when I physically can, Stan," he hummed, noting the rhyme in his head.

"Don't be stupid," Stan finished, succinctly.

"No promises," Richie joked back, before responding seriously, "-Yeah, yeah, I get it. Go on your date, woo her beyond belief-"

"Shut up," he responded -flatly, "-Bye, Rich."

"Bye~" Richie smiled, stressing it out until he heard the dial tone.

He let out a big huff of breath, staring at the medium level of traffic -it would be better when he got on the interstate. He knew that. He just fucking hated being slow-

He fidgeted with a wrapper between his fingers (antsy) and tried to memorize the license plate in front of him. Maybe he could play that game where you try and find a license plate from every state-

His phone started ringing, loud through his speakers. He flinched so hard that he knocked his glasses askew.

"Fuck," he blinked, before eyeing the ID (💞 Eds💞) and moving his finger to answer.

"Hey Eddie baby," he called, smiling (I'm going to get him, he's gonna be here).

"Are you already driving?" Eddie questioned, and Richie took note to turn down his radio. (He thinks he was listening to The Climb by Miley Cyrus and feeling it a little too hard the last time he drove.)

"Yes sir," Richie chimed, "-right on schedule."

Eddie was following up before he could add anything else, "How much did you sleep last night? I know Bev got you up early-"

"Eds," Richie soothed, laughing a little, "-I'm fine, don't worry. I slept good. And I promise, if I'm getting tired, I'll hit the nearest rest stop."

"And you've got food?" He continued on his brigade. It was okay though, he knew it would make Eddie feel better in the long run.

"Yep," he popped the 'p', "-Bevvy got 'em, so I got half healthy and half the good shit. And before you ask, I have a cooler full of water too."

"Good," Eddie breathed out, it wracked through his chest and Richie noted that he sounded a little more relaxed. Good.

"How's everything going over there?" Richie asked -curiously.

"Just packing," Eddie explained, "-My landlord's a piece of shit, per usual."

Richie frowned, "What did he do?"

"Found out I was leaving early," Eddie sighed, "-I think my next-door neighbor, Meredith, snitched. I have no fucking clue how she knew, but I'm pretty sure it was her. He basically wanted to rent it out, after I was gone, even though I'd already paid for everything."

"Shit," Richie cursed, "-Did you figure something out?"

"Just threatened him with a legal charge," Eddie answered, casually, "-He decided to give me a refund then."

"Awe, Eds," Richie laughed, "-my little shit."

"He was breaking the contract, asshole," he bit back, cheeks most definitely puffed up, "-It was a perfectly viable option. The fucking idiot should've known that."

"Doesn't mean you're not a little shit, Spaghetti," Richie reasoned, mindlessly listening to the directions (in 2 miles, turn left onto I-40), "-but I love you for it, so."

Eddie was quiet for a second, and it rattled through his chest. Not really nervous, but kinda just settling along his skin. It was only a little weird saying that to Eddie, openly, and maybe even more so that he wasn't saying it back. He didn't want to rush him or anything, Richie just acknowledged that it felt strange without reciprocation. And maybe it was a little scary. But he wasn't going to push him, he loved him and maybe he wasn't ready and that was okay. Yeah.

"Does that mean there's shit you don't love me for?"

"Uh," Richie laughed a little, humming thoughtfully, "-not that I can think of."

Eddie countered, "No fucking way. Gimme something."

"Eds," Richie fully laughed then, "-I'm so fucking serious. I don't know if I can."

"Yeah, right," Eddie snorted, disbelieving.

"Spaghetti," Richie leveled, "-I'm in fucking love with you. All of you. In your feral gremlin glory-"

"Fuck you," Eddie hissed back.

"Eds, you can't say you're not a feral gremlin," Richie offered, laughing, "-You're like a lil chihuahua that bites everyone who tries to touch it."

Eddie paused for a second, "I wouldn't bite you, dickweed."

Richie smiled, "As sweet as that is, Eddie baby, you have. And you probably will in the next few minutes actually-"

"Not really," Eddie disagreed, "-I don't really fucking mean it. Other people I would definitely fucking bite."

"I like that you agree with my analogy," Richie commented, "-I know my Eds."

"Stop deflecting, moron," Eddie chastised, "-You know I don't mean it, right? Well, sometimes you are a fuckface, but-"

Richie laughed, staring out a the road ahead of him -he expected California to fade out eventually. And then, it might be a little scary. But a new adventure kinda scary. With Eddie at the end. Yeah, he could handle a little scary with that prize at the finish line.

"-I don’t, always, mean it. You're my fucking boyfriend, I'm moving in with you. Obviously, I like the shit out of you."

Like, his mind chimed and Richie shoved it far, far away. It's okay, really, he can wait-

"Yeah, I know, Eds," Richie smiled, wistfully (just a few days), "-You tell me that shit a lot."

"Well," Eddie's face screwed up in frustration (Richie could really just tell), "-you deserve to fucking hear it, so. Suck it up."

Richie laughed again. Oh, Eds, Eds, Eds. I really fucking love you.

"You have anything to do today?" Richie questioned, always so curious about what Eddie was doing. Especially when they were apart. He wanted to feel like he was there, like he'd run out for groceries and left him a note, like he'd detoured into some boujee clothing store and picked him out something. Like he was right there.

"You know I don't do shit," Eddie bit back, passively.

"I swear to fucking god, Rich," Eddie huffed out a breath, "-I do not."

"Eddie baby, I know the sound of TLC when I hear it," Richie countered, grinning.

Eddie paused for a second, cheeks puffed up (Richie could visually see it in his mind), "It's just what's on-"

Richie laughed again, "Eds, it's a streaming service, not fucking cable."

"Okay, fine, yeah," Eddie exhaled a breath, biting, "-I'm fucking hooked on your shitty shows. Happy now?"

"Fucking elated," Richie chimed back.

Eddie laughed then, and Richie wanted to commit the sound to memory (like he always did), "You are such an asshole."

"Yeah, yeah, Spaghetti, I know the drill-" Richie let his last few chuckles out, radiating through his chest, "-but seriously, you doing anything fun today?"

"No," Eddie answered -frankly, "-I can't do shit right now."

Richie tilted his head curiously, passing over into another lane, "Why not?"

"Because you're fucking coming to get me."

"Eds," Richie laughed, "-it's gonna take like 6 days for me to get there, ya have time, trust me-"

"It's not that, dickweed," Eddie interrupted, starting in, "-I can't fucking focus on shit. At all. Because you're finally coming to get me. And I'm going back with you, getting out of this fucking shithole with you-"

Richie was grinning, fingers tapping along his wheel. God.

"-You're gonna be fucking tangible, right in front of me. And I can't stop thinking about that shit, so anything else is irrelevant. I'm putting all my focus on the important shit-"

"Awe," Richie cooed, "-Eds thinks I'm important."

"Of fucking course, you're important," Eddie retorted -a little bitterly, "-What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

Richie faltered a second, laughing a little, "Eds, I was just joking."

"Yeah, joke about it," Eddie relented, "-but you have to know that you're the most important fucking person in my life. So."

"Most important?" Richie asked, blankly.

"Um," Eddie paused, awkwardly, "-yeah, Rich. You're you, and that's kinda all I fucking care about."

Richie pressed his lips together, blinking.

"Really? Top spot, number 1?"

"Richie, I just fucking said it," Eddie stated -bluntly.

"It's just-" Richie drummed his fingers along his steering wheel, staring at the car in front of him (oddly a bright orange van), "-that's... you're... I don't think I've ever been someone's most important person."

"Well," Eddie blew out a breath, "-you're mine. Fucking obviously."

"Well," Richie swallowed, blinking blearily, "-thank you, Eds. I don't... I've never..."

"Are you crying?"

"That's not my fault," Richie sniffed, laughing a little, "-you said I was the most important person to you. That's fucking... I don't know, it taps into some internal trauma or some shit-"

"Richie, I'm not making fun of you," Eddie spoke, softer.

"-and I guess I just... With my boyfriends and my parents, I wasn't... I was second best, ya know, but you... you're... I'm your most important fucking person. And it means like a lot to me."

Eddie was silent for a moment, like he wanted to say something but he couldn't. Richie didn't know how he knew that, but he was pretty fluent in Eddie-isms now. So, he could just... tell.

Richie gnawed at his lips for a moment, inhaling a breath -it was shaky, "You're my most important person too, Eds."

There was another pause, a breath. It made Richie let out a big exhale, my favorite and most important person. Shit. He was so done for. Eddie might be the love of his fucking life-

"Hurry up and fucking get here dickwad."

"Ya want me to speed, Eds," Richie laughed out, "-I'll speed. You say the word-"

"If you fucking die on the way to come and get me," Eddie hissed, "-I'll kill you."

Richie grinned, and responded flatly (very nasally, per usual), "Yes, dear."

"I can't fucking stand you," Eddie huffed out, "-You're such an asshole-"

The rest of the drive was the same, Eddie stayed on the phone the whole time and Richie was ecstatic about it. They bickered back and forth, and Richie told him he loved him probably 10 times (like he couldn't help it). And Eddie kind of strangely got quiet after, the same sort of feeling. It made Richie just a twinge nervous, but he knew Eddie really liked and cared about him so it must've been something good. Or something okay at least.

He was stressed (anxious really), but he'd try and talk to Eddie about it later. Not now.

Eventually, after harassment from Eddie (he did stay on the phone the entire time, "I like spending time with you, asshat."), Richie pulled off into a... moderate hotel. Eddie wouldn't let him go anywhere cheap, rambling about sicknesses and health codes and bed bugs, the usual shit. He listened, diligently, and maybe with a big ass grin on his face, because he, well... he loved the shit out of Eddie. And when Eddie was Eddie, he just fucking loved it.

That brought him to now, a therapy call.

It was planned to be at yesterday, he should note, but Steve had called him while he was driving, and requested to schedule it for later. Richie guessed so as to not endanger him, sorting out your feelings while on the interstate sounded like a fucking nightmare, so he agreed wholeheartedly. Not to mention Eddie would have completely lost his shit if he'd insisted on driving through it, and Richie frankly did not want Eddie to lose his shit. Not when Richie couldn't properly be there.

"So," Steve echoed out carefully, "-your new boyfriend, Eddie, who we have discussed previously, has said, three months, then a month, and then tomorrow. And now, you're currently on a 6-day, unplanned, road trip to get him?"

"Technically 5-day now, but yeah," Richie answered, before asking jokingly (they'd talked a little bit about his nervous habit of being a shithead when things got too serious. Steve probably expected it), "-So, am I a lunatic, doc?"

"Not necessarily," Steve added, gently, "-it just sounds like you really care about him. Have you considered the fact that you might... love him, Richie?"

"About that," he laughed, fidgeting with his hair and eyeing the early morning sun creeping through the window (it was maybe 7:30), "-I do, and I told him that."

There was a lingering pause, maybe based on Richie's tone.

"But?"

"He's not," Richie breathed out, "-He's not saying it back. And I get that he might need time, I do, and I shouldn't expect him to do anything-"

"Richie, you're going to do that naturally," Steve amended, pointedly, "-Your past relationships have made you susceptible to anxiety on whether or not they truly cared about you. Loved you, even. This relationship has the same effect, even though you do somewhat know that Eddie cares about you deeply. So, don't put this negative perspective on yourself with the way you're wired to react. It only serves to impact your own self-worth, and put something on you that you can't quite help at this point."

Richie pressed his lips together.

"Instead," he continued, "-let's discuss your expression. Have you told Eddie that you're having this reaction? That it's bothering you?"

"No," Richie answered, quietly, "-I don't want him to feel guilty and just... fucking say it because it would make me feel better."

"Do you think Eddie would do that?" Steve questioned.

And Richie thought about it then. Really fucking thought about it.

'There's nothing wrong with you Rich.'

'And then I did it to you, the person I think I care about the most in the world-'

'But, you're not too much. At least not to me.'

'And stop fucking talking about yourself like that, you're one of fucking kind, Rich. I have never met a person like you, and that makes you fucking special.'

'And before your brain starts shit, I like the fuck out of you.'

'Because I actually want to fucking take care of you and your stupid brain.'

'I just care about you. And personally, that's all that matters to me.'

'Yeah, joke about it, but you have to know that you're the most important fucking person in my life.'

Richie felt tears burn the backs of his eyes, sob crawling up his throat. Eddie wouldn't do that. Ever. God.

"No," he answered, succinctly.

"So, communicate that with him!" Steve continued, "-If Eddie cares as deeply about you as you say he does, I imagine he'd want to soothe you over something like this."

Richie threw himself back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. Something in his chest was lighter. Yeah, his mind echoed, he really fucking would.

"It doesn't help to question things yourself," Steve added, "-All that will come of that is negativity. You know that."

He did.

Richie let out a long breath, "Yeah, okay, doc. I'll ask him."

"Good," he affirmed, "-I'm going to schedule your next appointment fairly soon, after you get Eddie most likely. I want to see how you're doing with that. 5 days, yes?"

"Yeah," Richie replied.

"But if you need anything, you-"

"Call you," Richie finished, instinctively, "-I know."

"Okay, Richie," Steve chimed, lighter, "-I'll talk to you again in a few days. Stay safe."

"Will do, doc," he replied, laughing a little, "-will do."

Richie was supposed to leave at 10, so he had some time. And he kinda wanted to alleviate the nerves, so. He took it upon himself to listen to Steve, and ask.

There was a pause. And Richie watched as the bubble continued in the bottom of his screen, for a little too long than expected. Well, maybe he should've expected it, actually. That was a pretty loaded question.

His phone started vibrating in his hands.

Richie blinked once, quickly answering. Before he could even get out a greeting, Eddie started talking.

"Richie?"

"Heya, Eds," Richie breathed out, a little nervous. He was busying his hands, packing the stuff he pulled out for the night (dispelling anxious energy probably).

"How long have you been thinking about this?" Eddie near immediately followed up, and Richie could tell he was worried.

"Really not long, Eds," he replied, gathering his bag in his arms and grabbing his room key (it was 9:45, and Richie was supposed to leave around 10 every day), "-I promise."

Eddie paused, tone careful, "Is it... Do you think you're not lovable? Is that... Is that what's happening?"

Richie sighed out, mouthing thank you to the front desk lady and dropping the key into her hand, "Steve basically said that it was natural, because my whole life I've been fucking... you know. And just not... given, you know, affection and shit, so I... Yeah, I guess so."

Eddie huffed out and whispered something to himself that Richie couldn't catch ("This is so fucking-"), "Richie, you're so fucking lovable, it drives me insane."

Richie laughed a little, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Your fucking stupid jokes, and your snorty ass laugh, and your stupidly frizzy curls that you seriously need to take care of-" Eddie listed off (like he was genuinely pissed), "-and you're charming as fuck. God."

"Um," Richie pursed his lips, blush splotchy against his skin -throwing his bag into the back, "-thank you? I think?"

"Yes, yeah," Eddie clarified, huffing out a breath, "-It's a fucking compliment."

"Okay," Richie smiled a little, "-Well, then, thanks, Eds."

"And I just," Eddie spoke, cutting himself off, "-There's nothing wrong with you, Richie, you're-"

He paused, a moment of silence. Maybe trying to figure out his words, or what he wanted to say.

"-fucking amazing. It's just... God, fuck. I have this whole... Ugh-"

Richie started up the car (hooking it up to his radio), furrowing his brow but still smiling, "Eddie baby, you're not making a lot of sense."

Eddie groaned, and he had never felt more confused in his life. What the fuck is happening?

"Eds," Richie started, gently -worried now, and slowly backing out, "-is everything okay?"

"I wanted-" Eddie huffed out a breath, "-I wanted to... But, it's just so fucking hard-"

"Eds," Richie leveled, "-seriously. You're freaking me out."

"God," Eddie sighed, like he was really fucking reluctant, "-okay."

Richie just waited patiently, pulling out onto the road. He really wasn't sure what to do about it, or how to respond at all. Eddie wasn't really being the clearest, despite Richie knowing the Eddie-isms at this point.

"I want to say it in person."

Richie blinked, "What?"

"It's-" Eddie exhaled a breath, "-I haven't said it yet because I want to say it in person."

Richie pressed his lips together, blinking again, "Oh."

"But," Eddie continued, more frustrated, "-you're making it so fucking hard, asshole."

Richie blinked again, squeaking out, "What?"

"You heard me, dipshit," Eddie added, "-You keep fucking saying that you love me, and then you're you-"

"Eddie baby," Richie laughed, "-I can't just fucking stop being me."

"-and I just fucking... God."

Richie was definitely giggling now, driving down the road with a big ass grin. He felt a little like he was floating, up and out of the car through the fucking clouds-

"I'm gonna stick to my word," Eddie exhaled, "-and I'm not gonna... I'm not gonna fucking say it until you're here, but-"

Richie felt his heart leap into his chest.

"-I do. Richie, I do. So fucking much."

Richie smiled, eyes a little teary as he stared out onto the pavement. So fucking much.

"I love you so fucking much, Eds," he laughed out, still crying, "-Too fucking much, probably."

"I think just enough," Eddie grinned (Richie could fucking hear it), "-We can both be batshit crazy about each other. I think that's fair."

"Yeah?" Richie smiled, fingers tapping along the wheel (he was so fucking happy).

"What?" Eddie asked, playfully, "-You're not fucking batshit crazy about me?"

"Oh, Eds," Richie snorted, "-You have no fucking idea."

There was a pause for a second, and Richie waited -smiling. God, he fucking-

"I think I do, Rich," Eddie responded, fondly (fucking affectionately even), "-I think I do."

4. what does your worldstate look like going into DAV?

I had to dust off some of my older works to remember what was canon and what was my own headcanons to make the world more interesting -- plus, I don't even have access to my original worldstate I used for my main Inquisition playthrough, the Origin account I played it on got nuked by EA (to which I still don't understand why ... lost almost 100+ dollars on that account in just games).

DAO: - Svenja Tabris (Warrior / City Elf / Alive as of 9:53) - Every companion still alive / in good standing - Non-Hardened Alistair / Alistair Romance - Queen Anora - Ritual Taken (Alistair Kieran) - Sided with the Mages

DA2: - Reyna Hawke (Rogue / Was the Fade Sacrifice) - Purple / Red Hawke - Every companion still alive / in good standing - Anders Romance / Approved of his choices - Sided with the Mages

I have actually zero clue what'll be important in the next game, and I also kinda despise the Keep, but regardless, there are the sparknotes. I didn't do any of the DLCs my first playthrough, but did the DAO Shale DLC once. I did eventually do the Descent + Tresspasser DLCS, I didn't particularly care for Jaws of Hakkon and think I intended to come back to it lol

6. Do you have your Rook(s) planned out to any degree? If so, would you share some details or ideas you have?

Only slightly! Since I have like ... three worldstates I want to say, I'm probably going to use the main one here.

Really tempted to roll another mage, but I'll probably go rogue because I did like the gameplay reveal a lot (and with Hawke vaguely dead, I no longer have a rogue in this worldstate!) We'll see how the classes crossover when the game comes out. Think Lords of Fortune or Veil Jumper background, and an elf. My preferred lineage choice across all of the games, as you can see lol.

Her name will probably be Sabine, though I don't have anything else about her so far. Bioware I'm begging you to put out the CC early ...

Bellara or Neve romance, unless Lucanis manages to tumble his way into me. I saving Lucanis + Emmrich for a second playthrough I think.

7. Which character from the previous games or other media are you most hoping will make an appearance in DAV?

Honestly, I just want to know what happened to my Hawke, I love her a lot, and because of some choices I made in DAO, I let her go. I wish they'd just tell me if she was dead so I can move on with my fanon.

Now if I'm being vaguely realistic, I'm not actually looking for anyone in particular. Most characters feel as if they've had their stories wrapped up for the most part (and it's been at least three years + six separate fandoms since I've played any of the games). If anything I do want to know what became of Kieran ... his father and stepmother are very curious.

Chapter 11/20+ Window Across the Galaxy [added 9/6]

girl falls first; raccoon falls harder.

The scar itself is as annoyingly pretty as the rest of her, Rocket thinks: pale-pink and satiny, like a tattered ribbon wound halfway around her leg. It’s holding together strong. He hates that she has it, though. He knows how scars are bought with pain, and how easy it is for them to make you feel ugly. Yeah, he doesn’t want any part of that for her. The third day that he demands to see it, Jo rolls her eyes dramatically, teasingly, and tells him her bone doesn’t even ache anymore. The torn muscle just feels a little overstressed - nothing to worry about. I’m not even limping anymore. It’s not a big deal. It’s a mistake on her part. She’s already sitting on the edge of the bed where he’s ordered her, and he’s crouching at her feet, pressing the glossy seam of her skin with testing fingers - checking the color, the bloodflow. And suddenly - unaccountably quickly - he’s speechless with fury. He can taste the enamel crunching between his gritted teeth. Everything is dark sparks and white noise. “…Rocket?” Slowly - dangerously - he turns his eyes up to hers. “Maybe you forgot what happened right before you got this thing,” he says, and he knows his voice is a rumbled threat. “But I frickin’ haven’t.”

Tag Game for Historical Simblrs!

Thank you to the delightful @antiquatedplumbobs for tagging me! 💕

1. What has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?

From my own personal gameplay I did a while back, I really enjoyed the 1920s! I adore the fashion and music of that time period so that's always a fun one for me. For the Wakefields, I'm also equally as excited to do the 20s again, as well as the 1960s since I may or may not have a storyline in mind for it already (even if may be very far away, but it doesn't hurt to plan ahead). 👀

2. Do you have a favorite piece of historical cc? (CAS or BB)

Anything by @gilded-ghosts, particularly the Victorian Visions set. I absolutely adore Victorian era fashions and it just really scratches that particular itch for me so well.

3. Who is your favorite sim currently?

My lovely Josephine of course! Carrie as well, though, she may not be the heir for the 1900s (spoiler alert, sorry), but I do have quite a lot planned for her story that I'm very excited to explore.

4. What is your favorite world?

At the moment, its tied between Henford-on-Bagley and Brindleton Bay, though Windenburg is certainly a close contender. All three just really have the right feel for historical gameplay and I find myself coming back to them the most.

5. Are you more gameplay or story focused?

I try to keep a good balance of both, I'd say. Sometimes I try to plan a whole story ahead of time, but that doesn't usually work so well when the game decides it has other plans. So I mostly just try to work around it whenever that happens, but I don't mind! It gives me the chance to get creative and I always love having that chance.

6. Do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?

Yes! I make it a policy to try and give each generation their own pet(s), I feel like its only fair.

7. What’s your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve with the game?

I would say the sims constantly whipping their phones out, but thankfully I have mods to take care of that. The randomly generated townies, however, drive me nuts! I can't even begin to say how annoying it is when I'm trying to stage a scene in a public area and some pink-haired sim with a weird name walks by in the background, I truly cannot stand it.

8. What’s your favorite in-game historical item? (CAS or BB)

The cross-stitching kit that came with Cottage Living, if that counts! I actually got so happy when I saw that included with the gameplay, and I was obsessed with making my sims constantly use it. I just think its a cute little hobby for them to do and it really adds to the authenticity of the time period for me.

9. What would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?

Oh gosh, a horse ranch pack would actually be tons of fun, although I'm not sure what purpose horses would serve in a game that isn't open-world. I just think they'd be neat to have is all. A Victorian-themed pack would also be nice as well!

10. What pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?

Cottage Living, for sure! That is, if you're starting off with/plan on doing a farm at any point. I purposefully waited for that one to come out before I even attempted my first decades challenge.

11. Do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?

The Timeless mod by @pandorasimbox is always a good one, it definitely adds to the overall immersion for me!

12. What’s your ideal family size for playing?

However many sims I can handle at the time. I know realistically my households would be a lot bigger, but I also have my limits, you know? The most I'll probably do is six, but again, it really depends.

13. Do you use poses?

Only when I really have to! If I know a scene is going to be story-heavy, then I try to incorporate as many poses as possible, but other times I mostly just tend to stick to gameplay since admittedly, posing can get incredibly tedious at times.

14. Do you use any overrides in your game?

Too many to count! I don't know what I'd do without them, honestly.

15. Do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?

I try to play off the grid up to a point, but it gets annoying sometimes when my sims are constantly forced to eat mushroom soup for the hundredth time or when I have to put a million candles just to see inside of the house. I'm at the point where I may just end up removing that lot trait, but we'll see.

16. What lifespan do you play on?

A slightly-modified normal! Since I'm usually playing a legacy, I try to keep things moving at a steady pace, though I'll admit I've gone back and forth between normal and long multiple times if I'm wanting to take my time with a particular storyline.

17. What inspired you to start playing a historically?

I think a lot of it mainly comes from my love of historical fiction. I was a wee bit of a history nerd growing up (still am, otherwise we wouldn't be here), was obsessed with American Girl novels, the Dear America books, you name it I read it. I also visited a lot of historical museums and battlegrounds and read a lot of biographical stories about important figures in history, as well as consuming historical themed movies and TV shows too (The 1970s adaptation of Little House on the Prairie in particular is one of my favorites). Although I don't think it ever occurred to me to try a historical gameplay until I discovered the decades challenge, and after reading a few of them I decided it was something I'd really love to do for myself. Eventually I'd love to branch out and do more historical themed stories and gameplay, but for now, I'm enjoying the Wakefields and what I have in store for them!
