It's a headcanon i've been carrying around for ages now. Dragging it from fandom to fandom. I think it finally feels right to settle with this idea in the Witcher fandom, developing and keep creating more content for this very idea.

it describes the strawhats crew with a dialogue that seems pretty thoughful (of what the scenario want to do and tell us) and not just in a way it only copies the anime (luffy screamed: i'm hungry!! Nami said: Baka!/ Robin was reading in a chair and Franky was building something that i found often in fic). (also i love any Abo writers who dont focus totally on smut, smells, dominance, and physical side of the genre and rather works on the system, the world and how the implications of the second sex impact the psychology and story as a whole! ) that said, the story seems promising!

What fandoms do your write for? at the moment just 911 lone star/tarlos, but I'm kind of looking into RWRB/firstprince, and depending on a certain mister R. Hawley, I might get pulled back into emmerdale/robron

What are your top five fics by kudos? I'll stick to tarlos for this or else it'll just be 5 robron fics Austin TX first responders week - TK and Carlos have to give a talk about their jobs at a school for Austin's first responders week. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Not as often as I should. I never know what to say other than "Thank you" and i just end up reading the comments 50 times over (and i save the emails from AO3) and I'm like I LOVE YOU PERSON LEAVING A COMMENT ON MY SILLY LITTLE STORY YOU MADE MY DAY - but only in my head because i don't want to seem too weird. Idk - I overthink things.

What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't do angsty endings. Though PS I love you is a little bittersweet I guess. TK getting a letter from Gwyn on his wedding day.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All of them! I need a happy ending - always. But I suppose it was 'earned' the most in California where they both Go Through It before they get their happy ending.

Do you get hate on fics? I haven't on tarlos fics but I did get a hater on one of my anti chas robron fics once. I just deleted the comment.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Not really. I've tried... but it's just not for me.

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Undercover Carlos - I really want to finish it but I'm so bad at multi chapter fics. I'm bad at planning and I lose motivation and everyone else loses interest. I'm going to try get back to it when I'm done with my flufftober fics (so somewhere next summer or so 🙃)

What are your writing strengths? Dialogue for sure. and cutesy oneshots.

What are your writing weaknesses? Describing stuff. Translating the "picture" I have in my head to words on 'paper' is The Worst. Also planning and plotting a story - I tend to make stuff up as I go (which is why I suck at long multichapter fics)

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Don't do it unless you speak the language or know someone who does who can check it for you. Google translate is NOT your friend. A few words here and there (like the Spanish terms of endearment in tarlos fics) is fine, you can't really go wrong with that, but for more than that you need someone who actually speaks the language.

First fandom you wrote for? Luke and Noah - As The World Turns

Favourite fic you've written? For Tarlos I had a lot of fun with my Lou fic that I mentioned earlier and The perfect costume has done some interesting things to my insta algorithm, and The power of a muddy dog was fun because I like soft!TK with Buttercup. But all of my fics have *something* that makes them *special* to me.

Betty, I love you. This is gunna be a rant about a man, not our man Eddie, but my selfish husband. Guuurl. Ive been with this dude 20 yrs, 2 kids, great fucking provider where i can stay home in so cali. Hes funny, loving, caring, all those good things people want in a husband but damn the sex suuuuuuuccckkkksss. As someone who has had my fair share of relationships and dated too many people to count---great providers who are also funny, loving and caring are hard to come by, and I'm really glad you have someone who is good to you. But also, I deeply understand your frustration. Especially if you are a very sexually driven or physical person, not getting the satisfaction from your partner can start to make you feel crazy, like you just want to climb the walls and go fuck everything to get some new experiences.

Does he know you are always going without the big O? Because if he loves you and cares about you, he will want to make sure the kitty purrs. If he knows that you are never getting off, but he doesn't care---that is not very loving.

There is a lot of bad sex out there, sad to say. I dated a guy in his thirties once who had no idea where the clitoris was or that most women needed it to be stimulated to cum. But he was eager to learn, and he got really good at it. I remember thinking his next gf should send me a gift card or something for ratcheting up his skill levels.

I have a lot of friends around your age, in similar situations, so you are definitely not alone in this, if that helps at all. Not only am I stupid and cannot read tags but I repeatedly let myself be comforted by your writing only to be hit with the sad truth at the end. You can’t keep getting away with this /j .Your style is so unique and I can feel the passion you have for the characters as you can see their inner turmoils on the writings. I love how you bring them to life

My personal favourite is Monologue (which is highly underrated btw). I love the dynamic between Fumi and Maki plus Fumi talking about her day made me smile so much. Then cane the gut wrenching feeling about Maki. Honestly you managed to balance the fluff with the angst out so well and I really adored it.

To conclude this annoying fan’s rambling, you are my favourite blue period writer and such a great storyteller. I know how you’ve stated that the fandom is quite inactive (cause it is) but your presence manages to be so outstanding to me. I don’t know why I was too nervous to follow now but I might as well write my letter of appreciation so it can be covered by the bots.

personally 'monologue' is quite the lackluster for me, i wanted to use the concept, i think i wanted to make it about ytyt with yotasuke that would tell yatora about the summer festival only to reveal at the end that yatora was unconscious the whole time so yotasuke wasn't talking with anyone, i got the idea while working on 'a psychological take' (where i wrote already a summer festival so it felt unnecessary to do it again) and at the same time i wanted to write fumimaki (bcs there's literally nothing for this married couple, almost canon i'd say, more canon than ytyt), so i combined both, i was still in a phase where i wanted to kill all characters and make them suffer which i think i did a lot and now i just want to write them relax and be happy (writing depression is hard), so it's not really that original inside my head, but im glad at least someone else likes it (for me billy of tea was way more fun to think about)

tbh i've been thinking about moving on from blp for quite a few months already but i simply can't find something else to interest me the same way ytyt does, which sucks bcs if i don't write then no one will write stuff, rn i want to finish this fic i'm sorking on (i hope i get to 100k), then a oneshot about ytyt soulmates and another oneshot about miki and ayano only, then idk, i think it would be good to retire (not to be petty actually, but i did write 40% of the words in the yatoyota tag on ao3)

fandom isn't really only inactive, it is now a bit (i continuously try to collect blp fans here and on twt, the more the merrier), but i just felt ignored since the anime was airing, again maybe it was the bad timing bcs i started posting my first fic towards the end of the anime when people lost the interest bcs that adaptation is horrible, then in february yamaguchi had covid and from march to july it was complete hiatus and then the whole dj drama (which i'd lie if i said the mob mentality to drop it didn't affect me too although i was the one to uncover the doujinshis on my own weeks before it got to twitter, anyway my idea was: this isn't a piece of media i care about and i am already deeply in love with blue period so whatever, my respect for yamaguchi decreased and i got a passive aggressive attitude towards her until she posted the new year ytyt picture with bunnies this january, now i seriously don't care abt whatever else she drew - also damn i'm really side railing with this)

I kind of liked the Ethan-Will dynamic in this episode. Ethan was firm, Will was stubborn, all in-character, but felt they still worked pretty well together compared to how they've been written before.

as a writer,

do you have… like, certain boundaries you want not crossed by your readers when they interact with you?

so im in this other fandom, right? (it’s a book series fandom but anyway that’s not important)

the other day this one writer from that fandom announced they’d take a hiatus from writing, and they explained why.

turns out, the writer felt insecure every time they got a comment from a reader where the reader theorized things. like what the reader thought would happen in the next chapter, or what they thought would happen to character A, etc. the writer said it was like they were being pressured to take their fics wherever the readers wanted them to go…

… and i had no idea that writer felt that way. i felt so guilty because i was admittedly one of those readers who liked to send asks to this writers inbox with theories. the writer reassured us that it wasn’t our fault, that they should have established boundaries and made clear what type of feedback they didn’t want directed their way, but i still felt so guilty because after all, i was still one of those people driving them away. because they were one of my fav writers from that fandom.

so im wondering if you have any specific boundaries you don’t want crossed?

That's so sad! Both that you readers lost an author you love and also that they were so stressed!! I hope they take some time and space and are able to come back feeling good.

But personally I love the theories and analysis and the fears and all that emotional outpouring. To me nothing will ever beat the comments at the points in my stories where people are trying to figure out what's going to happen next --especially in like Lowlander and Meadow when things were nuts, those theories and guesses were so goodto read!! It means people are hungry for your story! That's amazing to me!

I definitely don't feel like I have any boundaries crossed. Occasionally a comment will leave me feeling sensitive or defensive but I feel like that's valuable for me to work through, not to ask readers to behave differently, and it's usually rooted in my own insecurities about my work or self! It's been good practice for me to take a breath and look at where the defensiveness actually comes from, ask for clarity if I might be misunderstanding, and also recognize that it's completely fine if that person actually does just not like my writing or that particular story or a character I love. The world doesn't end. I don't have to stop writing. I won't be able to please everyone and it means occasionally disappointing people! Uh well! (I type this casually as if this isn't one of my main personal demons in life 😊)

Though actual mean-spirited comments I could do without. 🙃 Occasionally I'll get something where I feel like the person who wrote it forgot I'm a real person on the other side of the screen, one who works really hard on these stories that I share for free. Or someone who dislikes what I did in a story enough they need to tell me they're unhappy and no longer going to read... I understand that sort of feedback if you're like a paying customer at a restaurant who just changed their menu and you want them to know it's not well received, but when it comes to free fan content on the internet, I think it's kinder just to move along if you no longer enjoy a thing someone is making. But even that I try to look at it from the viewpoint of "this person cared a lot about this thing and they're disappointed it didn't go the way they wanted to; that's flattering even if it also sucks to know you disappointed someone."

Just to be clear, I don't think that's the same thing as being like "omg if JK doesn't tell her about the drugs I'm going to riot" --that is hysterical and I love comments like that! Also different than people being like "I'm so anxious about these chapters, I'm going to wait until you're further along and then catch up in one go." 🥰 Take care of yourselves, I write hard stuff sometimes!

ANYWAY this was a long way of saying: nope, no boundaries being crossed here, and I'm not going anywhere! Give me all your theories, predictions, life stories, tears, fury, etc. 99.9% of the comments and interactions I get are nourishment for my writer soul 🥰🥰

I honestly cannot see how anyone can say that they hate Polarity!JK MORE than they hate Darknets!JK. And this is coming from someone who SEVERELY hates that skirt loving trash (yet absolutely loves how his character was written lol). Emotional manipulation is such a cruel thing, and I hate how comfortable P!Jk is with destroying his y/n's mental health and life as she knew it - all for the sake of making her attached to him. He feigns it under wanting the best for her and "love" while disregarding the real her and her true feelings. This man would rather break this girl completely and build her into something he molds instead of just having something natural & real - which would've probably taken a long while w/ how bad her anxiety is, but definitely could've been possible and better w/ how smart he is. So by all means, I am NOT defending this sadly neglected yet manipulative 개새끼. 😤

But DARKNETS!JK?? Oh. Honey. This Jungkook is on another level. We barely know this one, but I think we know enough??

We knew he was twisted. He's a stalker. A pervert. A kidnapper. Is a fudging human trafficker. And honestly, that should've been enough. Yet what have we learned from Ch. 2?

He's also: demented. Physically abusive. Mentally abusive in a much different way than P!Jk. I mean, that ending scene with the guns was *chef's kiss* in the way it was brilliantly executed 🔥, yet also made my blood boil. 😖 It's the way that even tho the girls' guns were unloaded, his still could've been. 😩 This man finds joy in the pain he brings. And maybe it's because we haven't seen P!JK's y/n push his limit and make him full of anger to know just what all he's capable of, but so far, he's not physically abusive? He doesn't even want his y/n to harm herself, and - oddly enough - doesn't like seeing her sad or treated like ish (even tho he manages to make her sad & feel bad about herself effortlessly all the time by opening his mou- gosh, I really despise this mf 😒).

TL/DR, both of these characters would make really shxtty people irl, and I seriously dislike both of them. But I just feel like- if I'm going to be forced to live life dealing w/ an abusive man who's too far gone for saving and the only shred of happiness I'll ever have will be via the stockholm syndrome I develop as a result or from the delusion of favoritism that's really just obsession.... then out of the two, P!JK is the one I'd rather deal with. And I have Darknets! Y/N's lack of patience & temper, yet Polarity! I love your analysis on both darknets jk and polarity jk! They are indeed horrible in very different ways. I can see why you dislike darkners jk more, he is definitely more easy to hate due to his profession and overall aggressive demeanor. Not to mention the literal kidnapping 😬

Polarity jk is indeed more complex, I’ve read how a lot of you guys are conflicted at times with him and that’s really what his character is about! To some he’s an obvious red flag and manipulator but to others he does bring that validation some people would find comfort in on how handles the MC’s mental disorder. It’s a very dangerous dynamic nonetheless.

Haha I like how you said you have darknets MC’s temper but Poalrity MC’s anxiety, I’m kinda the same so it would be hard to choose how well I’d do in either universe

Aight, I did this once before, but I just saw another post about it and now I'm frustrated again, so fUCK it, I'ma say sum else about it:

Y'all, I can't stress this enough. If you are a person who writes reader-inserts, please educate yourself and understand that not every person who reads your stuff will have pale skin or the ability to blush.

The implication of the latter is my BIGGEST pet peeve when reading. And unless for some racist reason, you only write to or for what is then essentially only white people, this applies to everyone.

Y'all, it's really not that hard to be mindful of what it is you're saying regarding the appearance and physical attributes of your readers. And it's really insensitive when you just disregard taking that extra care altogether, because you can't be "bothered."

At this point, I have had to filter a number of tags and people who I know are pretty good writers for the fact that I was basically reading the same thing over and over again. It left me really annoyed and more than a little left out, and it truly is something you really can't understand or grasp the importance of unless you are a BIPOC.

And I know what a handful of you are going to say: "well, if it’s such a big deal, why don't you just look for niche content and leave the rest of us alone."

Baby, is your shit not a READER. INSERT?? MEANING THAT ANY PERSON WHO DECIDES TO READ IT IS THEN THE READER?? I'm not listening to excuses. They way I, and many others see it, is that writing, especially fanfiction and especially reader-inserts are meant to be inclusive. At least in regards to appearance. And if uon understand that, you need to take a step back and try again.

It's really upsetting that it seems that only BIPOC readers and writers are the ones who care about this, and are then also the only ones who have to be mindful of it.

Also, please don't ignore someone if they bring this to your attention if they notice it in your writing. You can loose many a good reader being so, again, insensitive and uncaring.

Plus, it just makes you look like an asshole.🤷🏾‍♀️

I understand if it slips your mind as you write, because I know that for non-BIPOC, as sad as it is to say it, it's easy to forget that we exist on platforms like this. But we do, and we would very much appreciate if you would remember that.😊

Look, I can't make none a' y'all do nothin', at least not while I can't get my hands on ya'🙃, but please, try and recognize this as something that is important and as something that shouldn't be tossed to the wayside.

This is exactly what I was referencing in my previous posts about fandom inclusivity and the issue with blushing in fanfiction. I found this on Pinterest and it was posted by a YA author named Kay L. Moody, who, funnily enough, specifically mentioned fanfic writers in the description of this post.

Dear fanfic authors, please read over this and try to implement some of these techniques in your writing to make it more inclusive!😁
