hey there! i'm very new to simblr and looking for mutuals to befriend!
i'm a pretty well-rounded simmer in that i split my time pretty evenly between cas, build/buy, and gameplay, and i've been playing since the sims 2. currently loving the sims 4 as i have recently been able to download custom content and mods which has added so much to my gameplay. if you have a favorite maxis match cc creator, feel free to put me on them 'cause i love finding new creators to support!
besides the sims, i also play overwatch, the lego games, the tomb raider reboot, horizon: forbidden west, and lots more! my favorite shows are buffy the vampire slayer, the good place, most things star wars, once upon a time, grey's anatomy, and sense8.
i'm hoping to use this simblr to share my creations beyond just the gallery. if you'd like to follow me there, my ea id is spacecowboyalex. i have a ton of sims i've made recently that i can't wait to get into game with to take screenshots (i just learned how to use the pose mod and i'm very excited about it lol).
also if any of you are on twitter my @ is alexile_. i'm way more active on there than here tbh but that may change!

Every day I open my gmail inbox and I see that people are still giving kudos and commenting on my Missing Pieces fic and it fills my heart with so much joy but also HOWWW are you finding it? 😭because it somehow doesn't make sense in my mind that you're finding it through the Ao3 tag search
<update> sept 7th
Anyways, I reread Missing Pieces after almost 4 years and I can say that I understand why y'all are still giving it love <3 I was being too harsh on myself, so thank you. If you want to read a "Wind is Four's descendant" cozy, feel-good, with secret family lullaby included, read Missing Pieces! 🙂↕️

What are your headcanons of Jihyun going through Therapy ?
Therapy is a long and difficult process to go through. It can take up years of your life, and the road to recovery never really ends. Still, every little step you take in an effort to better yourself and find your own inner peace is worth it. It's hard, but it's worth it.
For Jihyun, it was always so incredibly difficult to admit that he did, in fact, needed help. At first, it was out of his own teenage stubbornness and a deep fear of appearing 'weak' in front of his father and his social circle. And once he lost his mother... well, he simply felt like he didn't deserve to ask for help, even if he needed it. He focused all of his inner resources on caring for his loved ones and, eventually, embracing all of Rika's pain, which was such a toxic environment for them both. Neither Jihyun nor Rika knew what true love even meant. In a tragic way, they were both just doing their best with what they had. There was no point in looking inwards for Jihyun when he could experience the love of the sun he so craved.
After all, once his biggest artwork would be finished, he'll definitely feel fulfilled at last, right?
It was only through meeting you that he was able to hope again, albeit hesitantly. Yes, he hurt Rika, and he hurt everyone in the RFA deeply... but that didn't mean that he should give up on himself and that he didn't deserve to be loved ever again. Everyone deserves to be happy - that's what you taught him. He doesn't have to abandon his past, but, all at the same time, he can build a hopeful future that he starts to imagine with you by his side.
Jihyun has finally found enough courage within himself to face his wrongdoings head-on and move on with his life. Both for his own happiness, as well as those he holds dear within his heart.
He knows now... that he should first love himself before he can promise you his heart fully. That's why he leaves on his trip, and seeks out therapy both for himself and Saeran. This time he's doing it for his own well-being, first and foremost. He deserves to be happy... and he deserves to be loved. That's why he tells himself with a gentle smile alighting his face as he lovingly reads through yet another letter you sent him.
There's a lot he has to struggle with on his journey to self acceptance. Even once he finally comes back to you as a changed man, he knows that there's still plenty for him to work on. But, there's no rush. Now, Jihyun makes a conscious decision to treat himself with warmth and kindness time and time again.
The loss of his mother, his complicated relationship with his father, the toxic love he shared with Rika and the heavy burden of all the wrong choices he has made concerning the Choi twins and other RFA members... God, the amount of inner turmoil that this man had to go through is immense. However, now, he tries to stay hopeful, even if it's hard. There are good days, and there are bad ones. Sometimes, his therapy sessions give him so much motivation to keep on working on bettering himself, and sometimes... sometimes they can get so incredibly difficult that he finds it hard to breathe. There's going to be relapses, and he tries so incredibly hard to not put too much blame onto himself.
He's a human being, and he's allowed to make mistakes.
Just hold his hand and whisper those simple words into his ears as he buries his face into your shoulder after an especially intense therapy session. Sometimes, he just needs to hear that from you again.

I just realized something pft-
It's canon Chris can't read sheet music- but he's friends with three people (Jill, Ethan and Rebecca at least from memory) who know how to read sheet music AND play instruments!
I bet he just looks at them with utter awe at how they're capable of such skill at music.
Well, I mean, he can play guitar, so it's not like he's completely musically inept... I've been told a lot of guitarists don't learn to read music because they can just us tabs, or they play by feel. There's also lots of vocalists who don't read sheet music either. So there's lots of people who can play instruments/have musical talent and can't read music.... Including me, who plays kalimba by tabs and piano by ear and can't read sheet music ajhkshdkj.
