Can i just say that i really hate when historical documentary shows completely change the tone they have.
like i'm watching Drain the Oceans right now, saw it on TV a while back, loved it a lot because of how they present the findings and explain the history behind them.
BUT!! The 4th season changed everything!! The tone is completely different, it focuses much more on the people and business dealings and stuff behind the finds, with a lot more unessecary added dramaticism; than the finds themselves!!
I do not like it at all, it was bad enough that i had to skip the first and half of the second season because i didn't *really* like that Narrators' voice, but now i can't watch the rest of it either! Plus they changed it again for seasons 4 and 5!!
(I do very highly recommend Season 3 at the very least, i really like it)

Aw, so he is going to take her on a trip with the money he doesn’t have! I think that’s sweet, though, because a vacation means so much to her. That’s what she really wants, is just..a nice trip, away. Someplace warm, and while Greece wouldn’t be my first choice, I also wouldn’t turn my nose up at it. I think I’d pick Spain, were I in the UK, given the cost effectiveness and the fact that I speak the language somewhat. But Greece is also nice!

DBD Quotes that are my Roman Empire (and my reactions to them)
No version of this where I don't come get you - Charles S1 E7 (SIR???? IM SORRY??? If someone said that to me, i'd faint. Edwin is a strong one) .
Do you think it must be torture? Being the way we are? - Simon S1 E7 (I swear you could audibly hear my heart break when he said that) .
Teethface, what the fuck? - Esther S1 E6 (I love her. She's an awful person and is literally irredeemable but dammit she does her shit with style and sass and i love her) .
He did not feel the same way. But I think we are better friends because of it - Edwin S1 E8 (THEM. JUST THEM. I CANT WITH THEM.) .
You, Charles Rowland, are the best person I know - Edwin S1 E5 (It's like they want me to go throw myself off a cliff their friendship is everything to me) .
And we've got literally forever to figure out what the rest means - Charles S1 E7 (Charles is raising the bar too high i fear. the standards are through the roof) .
When you punish yourself, everywhere becomes hell - Edwin S1 E7 (*starts sobbing in the corner*) .
Imagine thinking there was only one way to do any one thing. How difficult would life be? - Kashi S1 E6 (I swear Kashi walked into this show to spit straight facts and then was never seen again. Icon.) .

I will always hit a demon with a cricket bat for you - Charles S1 E6 (Fellas, never settle for anything less than Charles Rowland) .
I wasn't talking about you - Edwin S1 E5 (I'm not even kidding I paused the show, got up and had to take a minute because OOF Monty darling) .
As more than a friend, I’m afraid. Charles, I'm in love with you - Edwin S1 E7 (No joke this is one of the best scenes in a show I have ever watched. The acting, the dialogue, the pacing, the emotion??? UGH!!! Perfection) .
I certainly hope not, that story ends tragically - Edwin S1 E7 (There are already a million and one posts about the implications of Charles referencing Orpheus' story so go check those out but holy hell the way it made my heart twist) .
I could- we could lose Charles - Edwin S1 E3 (This was such a tiny detail but GOD I replayed it ten times before moving on) .
Honestly I just find her so charming - Edwin S1 E2 (I knew from this moment that Edwin and Niko were going to be a pair to watch. And boy was I right) .
That was my third life you bitch—i only get nine; would you fuck off - The Cat King S1 E8 (now THIS is how you creatively use a cat's nine lives in media I love it I freaking love it) .
You sacrificed me to a demon who traded me to another demon who traded me to a thing that is worse than a demon and this is your punishment! An eternity of papercuts! - Edwin S1 E7 (Honey I have an eternity of questions cause what the FUCK is this human trafficking system down in hell??? but also go off king??? 😭)

the best supernatural episodes
according to an autistic person with a special interest and the ability to make a list.
if youre really serious about supernatural spoilers then maybe stay away :)
None of the season one episodes made in on the list but I will give an honorable mention to S1 E2 Wendigo.
S2 E11 Playthings - A classic, creepy girls in a creepy hotel. Special call out to Sam getting SLOPPY
S2 E16 Roadkill - There's a ghost haunting the highway. the Boys help the spirit move on. This is an early example of monster empathy
S2 E18 Hollywood Babylon - Dean loves hollywood. I love dean. this episode makes me kick my feet like a little girl and i will not defend myself.
S2 EP 20 What Was Shall Never Be - all I have in my notes for this one is "Dean Djinn Dream" which was enough for me to remember the episode and get misty eyes. This is SEASON 2 my son will never know peace.
S3 E5 Bedtime Stories -I had to check the wiki on this one, I think i liked it cause it referenced classic fairytales
S3 Ep11 Mystery Spot - "HEAT OF THE MOMENT" RISE AND SHINE SAMMY!
S3 E13 Ghostfacers! - Im a Facer through and through
S3 E16 No Rest for the Wicked - S3 finale and the Boys are facing consequences! Classic Dean, Sam and Bobby episode.
S4 E1 Lazerus Rising - First Cas Episode. That handprint makes me feel things.
S4 E6 Yellow Fever - What if Dean had anxiety (The Eye of the Tiger blooper is also at the end of the episode which gives it bonus points.
S4 E17 Wishful Thinking - Make a wish? was it for your teddy bear to be diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder? Well thats what youre getting!
S4 E17 It's a Terrible Life - Sam ~ the sales rep. Dean ~ middle management.
S4 E18 The Monster at the End of the Book - There are books about Sam and Dean?! Written by this guy who loves self insert character? Surely the entire show isn't about to take a tone shift?
S5 E3 Free to be You and Me - Sam and Dean are fighting again, but this time Dean has a new heavenly boy toy to play with instead. (Cas has no rizz yet it's actually a little painful to watch)
S5 E5 Fallen Idol - Okay the Wax People episode is on here for one reason and one reason only. Paris Hilton.
S5 E7 The Curious Case of Dean Winchester - Old man Dean and old man Bobby. This is also the episode for HH Husk kinnies.
S5 E8 Changing Channels - Dr Sexy MD is that you?!
S5 E9 The Real Ghostbuster - *in a grizzly voice* "I'm Dean Winchester, this is my brother Sam. Have you experienced anything strange?" "Dude that was so good! Now we can go solve the puzzle" "Man you're breaking the immersion!"
S5 E10 Abandon All Hope - This is here for Crowley's first appearance and not because the end will make you cry.
S5 E12 Swap Meat - "uh... its Audi Nos". Freaky Friday starring Sam Winchester! An angsty teen and April Kepner from Grey/Sloan Memorial Hospital.
S5 E16 Dark Side of the Moon - The Boys lives flash before their eyes. Dean is pissed forever about Sams.
S5 E19 Hammer of the Gods - this is for all my pagans out there!
S6 E4 A Weekend at Bobby's - What do you think this episodes about idjit.
S6 E15 The French Mistake -  “For whatever reason, our life is a TV show.” “Why?” “I don't know.” “No, seriously. Why? Why would anybody want to watch our lives?”
S7 E4 Defending your Life - consequences? for fucking people over? how about you stand trial.
S7 E20 The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo - The self insert character made for us :) Luv u 4ever Charlie XD
S8 E4 Bitten - found footage will always scare. this one reminds me that this show started as a psuedo horror.
S8 E8 hunteri heroci - Cas tries his hand at being a hunter
S8 E12 As Time Goes By - FINALLY THEY ARE CARVING TRAPS INTO BULLETS
S8 E17 Goodbye Stranger - verbatim here are my notes for this episode "Cas chooses Dean, but the way he handles Meg... Fuck Naomi"
S8 E18 Clip Show - If you only want to watch just one episode of Supernatural this should be it. It's not actually a clip show, theres a broment, bonding time with favorite characters and crazy plots that only supernatural could get away with.
S9 E5 Dog Dean Afternoon - Dean is finally a dog person
S9 E11 First Born - Another bro fight leads to shipping <3 SamxCas + DeanxCrowley <3
S9 E15 #thinman - the slender episode feat. GHOSTFACERS. You come away from this episode thinking "supernatural is so fucking gay why wont the boys kiss"
S9 E21 King of the Damned - my favorite crowley era change my mind. Also the way the Boys interrogate an angel is so funny
S10 E5 Fan Fiction - I would unironically fuck w a supernatural musical and if helluva/hazbin taught me anything the rest of you would too
S10 E6 Ask Jeeves - The Clue episode. (Pay attention to the improvised weapons Dean chooses. It brings me joy)
S10 E9 The Things we Left Behind - Cas is suffering a midlife crisis and his besties are there to help him repair his relationship with his daughter. Funnily enough, Crowley is also getting some family bonding in.
Okay, I'm all caught up on my list. Should I have stayed up late transcribing this with an 8am class tommarow?
Probably not but it did bring me great joy. Tell me your favorite episode! I'll continue to add to my list as I continue my rewatch :)

The songs of Young Royals - S1 E1
So after a few re-watch I started noticing how well the songs are used in the show and I wanted to chat a little bit about it ^^ (Because I'm usually watching alone with my cat and he doesn't really care about my opinions on how awesome the show is at picking its songs :p So hopefully people here will be more interested!!)
Bad, Farveblind
Tumblr media
I think it's wrong I think it's bad I think it's lame I think it's horrible The song starts when we see Wilhelm at the club where he gets in a fight and then we get the chorus through his earbuds in the car (note: I love it when a show put a music in the background that ends up being something a character is actually listening to in the scene!!). He just got out of a shitty situation which will have huge repercussions on his life and his mother is making decisions about his life without asking him: the show is not subtle about telling us how "wrong" and "bad" it is. And despite this lil' foreshadowing (the song plays before Minou tells Wille about his mother's decisions) and Wilhelm's strong opinion against them, it's still gonna happen. Going to a boarding school is "lame" (or so Wilhelm thinks) and the whole situation is "horrible". And yeah, it's gonna suck on a lot of points, but it's also gonna change his life...
Wannabee Ghetto, Fata Boom
Tumblr media
... Keep up the front like it's your decision ... Look our best Covering up what we're missin It's literally what Wilhelm has to do now. His mother decided for him that he should change school and enroll at Hillerska, he is not happy about this plan but has to pretend he's okay with it. He just lied to the public that it was a decision he took part in. He is the prince, even if he's not (yet) the Crown Prince, and he has an image to maintain. An image that was damaged due to the video of the fight: someone is literally putting make up on him to "cover up" the marks of the fight so he can look his "best". And what is he missing? Well August will say it at least twice: he doesn't have the same drive as him or Erik. So he's missing the desire to be on top, to be king, to keep the status quo...
It takes a fool to remain sane, The Ark
Tumblr media
... Wasn't life supposed to be more than this ... Let go off my hand and it will slip on the sand If you don't give me the chance To break down the walls of attitude I ask nothing of you, not even your gratitude 'Cause it takes a fool to remain sane ... Of becoming like the others Who become unhappy mothers And fathers of unhappy kids This song!! Such a great choice for their first song <3 Wilhelm being so incredibly unhappy and stuck because "being a prince is a privilege, not a punishment" but he wants more for his life. It is supposed to be "more than this", more than pressure and appearance. The song going on with the "unhappy mothers / unhappy kids" while we follow Erik and Wilhelm stiffly posing for pictures outside. How can Wilhelm not be scared? Is it the life that awaits him? Always keeping a nice front, not being himself? And why is that? 'Cause they've forgotten how to play But Erik and Wilhelm haven't forgotten yet!! Right after these lyrics we have a playful Erik who suggests they take off in the middle of the photo-shoot! And they do!! So there's hope for them!!
I see you, Nadia Tehran
Tumblr media
Back to their bases Covering their faces Tones through the breeze yeah The power calls crises Round my crowd No cops allowed Interestingly the song starts with "you ain't welcome here, you don't look like us". This part is not in the show but works so well for Wilhelm starting at Hillerska. He's getting hazed by his peers "covering their faces" and being really rough with him (this hazing is so yucky, I struggle watching it every time ^^'), and he's welcome here because he's the prince, because he's supposed to be part of their world. But he's not gonna be like them. Do they know it already? "You don't look like us", and thanks god for that!! (And yup, "no cops allowed", right August? You can do whatever you want here without any consequences...)
Blah blah blah, Armin van Buuren
Tumblr media
All we ever hear from you is blah blah blah So all we ever do is go ja ja ja And we don't even care about what they say The song plays while August is talking to Wilhelm about being among his peers and criticizing him for wanting to be "normal" at his previous school. I love that this song is playing because, yes, it's a good party song, but also, it's probably what everyone watching the show is thinking when August is being an insufferable prick like that! And Wilhelm too, who just usually goes "ja ja ja / yes yes yes" to what August tells him (until he stops and finally goes openly against him, but for now in the show, he just listens and nods). Erik told him he should listen and trust August, so he listens to him. But at this moment Simon appears, and suddenly Wilhelm "don't even care about what they say" because the cute boy he already has a big crush on just arrived. And August and his stupid speeches about rich people being above everyone else don't matter anymore.

Love all the stuff you’re doing for the jeffbritta girlies!!
And I know I’m asking for a lot but could you do like a little guide for their best episodes? Cuz when I sit down to watch a random episode I always forget what episodes have good moments with them that are not mixology certification lol
If this is too much to ask that’s okay💕
yesyesyesyeseyydysyeysyessegewghq
Okay, SO. This is my personal list of my go-to Jeffbritta episodes. Obviously not all of these are romantic: they're just focused on them or have funny interactions with them.
I love them and they deserve everything + endgame
Tumblr media
Season 1
Season 1 has a BUNCH of Jeffbritta episodes, specially considering they were supposed to be the main couple of the show back then. My favorites are:
S1 E1 Pilot: Obviously.
S1 E3 Introduction To Film: Seize the day!
Tumblr media
S1 E14 Interpretative Dance: This is the cute episode where Jeff brings flowers for Britta.
S1 E16 Communication Studies: This is the episode where Jeff gets drunk with Abed and ends up calling Britta and blablabla...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
S1 E22 The Art Of Discourse: This one doesn't have any explicit Jeffbritta I think? It's just fun to see them make an evil plan to take revenge on some random highschoolers.
S1 E23 Modern Warfare: One of my (if it isn't my #1 favorite) favorite episodes of Community. The one where Jeff and Britta have sex in the study room table.
Season 2
On Season 2 we got a weirdly amount of Jeffannie episodes, but we still had our fair share of Jeffbritta episodes!
S2 E1 Anthropology 101: Not really Jeffbritta, but it's still fun watching them being gross in this episode, right?...right?
S2 E6 Epidemiology: Seeing Jeff walk around with Britta to give her drinks is funny.
S2 E10 Mixology Certification: This is an obvious one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
S2 E13 Celebrity Pharmacology: Cool cats. AKA, The Bi Panic™
Tumblr media
S2 E16 Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking: That's Irak, stupid. WHAT DO I KNOW, I'M JEFF WINGER'S DUMB GAY DAD!
Tumblr media
S2 E19 Critical Film Studies: This isn't really a Jeffbritta episode, but they match costumes... that's... that's enough, right
S2 21 Paradigms of Human Memory: Unrelated, but I just looked at the Wikipedia page, and it was almost entirely filmed in Universal Studios. The "popping the back of a raft makes it go faster" scene was filmed in a Jaws set! Anyway, we have the funny Jeffannie sequence, but it's a fun episode if you focus on Jeff and Britta, too.
S2 E22 Applied Anthropology and Culinary Arts: Not a lot of Jeffbritta, but still, fun and cute interactions.
Season 3
S3 E6 Advanced Gay: I love this episode so much, it's so ridiculous at so many levels. Also, Britta adressing Jeff's daddy issues is always fun.
S3 E11 Urban Matrimony and the Sandwich Arts: One of the many times Jeff and Britta almost get married.
S3 E12 Contemporary Impressionists: This is one of my favorites of all the show. It's so funny seeing Jeff be... whatever this is
Tumblr media
S3 E21 The First Chang Dynasty: GothJeffandBrittaGothJeffandBritta
Season 4
It's amazing how many Jeffbritta moments the gas leak season gave us.
S4 E2 Paranormal Parentage: Again, Britta with Jeff's daddy issues.
S4 E5 Cooperative Escapism in Familial Relations: Britta helping Jeff is heartwarming. SHE'S SO PROUD OF HIM YOU GUYS. Also, them in cars. You can never have enough Jeff and Britta in cars.
Tumblr media
S4 E8 Herstory of Dance: This is also an episode I really like. Jeff and Britta are adorable in this one.
S4 E10 Intro to Knots: Greendale parents.
S4 E12 Heroic Origins: GUYS LOOK THEY MET EACH OTHER BEFORE
Season 5
I love the Jeffbritta episodes here, but at the same time... it's so cruel that they made all this build-up just for a Jeffannie ending. It's like they WANTED to make us suffer. Fuck you, Dan Harmon.
S5 E7 Bondage and Beta Male Sexuality: HE WANTS HER BACK
Tumblr media
S5 E8 App Development and Condiments: mustard
S5 E12 Basic Story: I cried
S5 E13 Basic Sandwich: I also cried. RAGE TEARS
Season 6
I don't really like watching S6, buuuut I'm gonna say "S6 E6 Basic Email Security" for the short Jeffbritta banter.
...this is it. this took me two days. okay bye

If you are taking prompts for buddie. Could you do one where Buck is sick maybe with food poisoning from the whumperil lists and Eddie ties care of him. If you don't like that prompt maye use the one "I think I need to sit down" for buck. Have eddie catch him and slowly lower him down.
If you arnet taking prompts that's ok! Thank.
Hehehehe anon I hope you're still here bc I'm BACK to be a menace to the 9-1-1 fandom (be completely ignored) and yet they can't get rid of me!)
I started a rewatch so I'd be ready for season 7 then I remembered it won't be (legally) available in Australia for ages... and kept watching anyway bc it's been so long since I did a complete rewatch from s1 e1. It's been SUCH a treat.
I've also got a friend watching for the first time and their excitement is reminding me so much of the first time I saw this bunch of adults in firefighter uniforms and went oh.
Anywho- on to the fic!
Tumblr media
-
"Eddie, hold up!"
Eddie glanced over his shoulder, frowning when he spotted Bobby jogging down the stairs.
"What's up, Cap?"
"I know you're going home but I was hoping you could check on Buck. He just called out and I need to organise someone to cover him."
Eddie paused, brows furrowed.
"Did he say why?"
"I was hoping he'd told you."
That reminded Eddie- he hadn't heard from Buck all shift which was very unusual. He shifted his bag to his other shoulder and reached into his back pocket for his phone, checking his messages.
"I've got nothing, but I'll let you know what I find."
"Thanks Eddie."
Bobby squeezed his arm then headed back upstairs, calling out goodbye to Hen, Chim and Ravi who were also going home after a long 24 hours. Eddie also waved at them, sending a quick text to Buck to warn him he was stopping by. He was hoping Buck had a minor cold but something told him to stop by a pharmacy on his way over just in case.
-
One visit to CVS later and Eddie was letting himself into Buck's apartment, plastic bag in hand. The apartment was eerily quiet as he stepped inside, unusual because even if he was upstairs for a moment Buck usually had the TV in the living room playing for background noise. Eddie dumped the plastic bag and double checked the living area for signs of life, poked his head into the downstairs bathroom, and then took the steps to the mezzanine level. His eyebrows knit together in confusion as he took in the rumpled blankets, the empty water bottles strewn throughout the room, and Buck-
Buck.
"What happened to you?"
Eddie knelt by the Buck-shaped figure in bed, finding his shoulder and giving it a gentle shake.
"Ugh, Eddie no, don't. I'll puke again."
"Again?"
Buck groaned, turning his head. Blue eyes met brown and Eddie put the back of his hand to Buck's forehead.
"You're a little warm. How long have you been puking?"
"What time is it?"
"Nearly 1pm."
"Almost twelve hours."
Buck leaned into Eddie's touch, eyes fluttering shut into a grimace when Eddie pulled the blankets off.
"C'mon, sit up. Let me get a better look."
Unwillingly Buck did as asked, leaning against the headboard.
"Does anything else hurt?"
"My head and my stomach; I think I ate something bad."
"Wait here."
Eddie hefted himself back up, rounding the bed to go back downstairs. Buck huffed, swiping at his eyes.
"Not like I can go anywhere!"
He grumbled, playing with a loose thread on his boxers.
"Not without puking at least."
He glanced up when he heard footsteps on the stairs and Eddie reappeared, plastic CVS bag in hand.
"What are you doing?" Buck asked, watching Eddie dump it on the end of the bed and rifle through it for a moment.
"I got you something... aha!"
He produced a bottle of Pedialyte and a plastic cup he must have grabbed from downstairs, pouring a serving of the liquid and then handing it to Buck.
"Bottoms up."
"Eddie," Buck groaned, "I-"
"-I know, you're really nauseous. Just trust me."
Eddie's never led him astray before and he's not likely to start now. Not after everything. Not after last summer.
Eddie still gets a funny look on his face when Buck brings up that random Friday morning kiss. It's not regret, it's never regret, just... well. Buck's not really sure. He's never seen Eddie like that.
He downed the Pedialyte.
-
The nausea reached its peak a few minutes later and it was only Eddie's quick dad/medic responses that got the trash can under Buck's chin in time. He'd been sitting on the other side of the bed, flicking through the channels to find something to watch considering it was almost 2pm. The minute Buck scrambled to sit up again after being asleep for almost an hour Eddie had grabbed the trash can and handed it to him with lightning fast reflexes, instinctively rubbing Buck's back. When Buck resurfaced Eddie handed him a tissue, switching that for the soiled bin liner.
"Here. You- uh."
"Thanks."
Buck's voice was hoarse as he wiped himself off, cheeks flushed a gentle pink. Whether that was from the fever, the humiliation of throwing up in front of his crush or a combination of both he wasn't willing to think too hard about. Eddie hefted himself off the bed, taking the trash can from his hands.
"Back in a sec."
He headed for the ensuite and Buck listened to the toilet flush then the sink run, hand slapping out to reach for his water bottle Eddie had kindly refilled earlier. A couple sips settled without issue in his stomach and he adjusted when Eddie reappeared, placing the bin back down beside Buck before flopping on to the bed with him and reaching into his back pocket for his phone.
"Chris said they're starting Earth Sciences this week," he said absentmindedly as he replied to whatever was going on then tossed his phone on to the bedside table and glanced over at Buck.
"How are you doing?"
"I'm gonna sue them," Buck complained pitfully as he lay back down, burying his head into his pillow. Eddie snorted.
"Careful Buck, remember last time you did that?"
An eye opened, the blue a stark contrast against the dark sheets, but then Buck smiled.
"I'll sue you too Eddie Diaz."
Eddie rolled his eyes as he swatted at Buck's shoulder, grabbing the remote again.
"Sure you will, man. Now what do you want to watch?"
Buck hummed, scrubbing at his eyes.
"Mmmmm... nothing food related."
Eddie flicked past an old rerun of Martha Stewart, nodding.
"Of course."
-
The clock struck five and Eddie carefully extracted himself from where Buck had somehow managed to curl up with his head on Eddie's thigh and was having another sick nap. He checked his phone and saw the notification that the food was almost there so he went into the kitchen and grabbed bowls. He heard someone knock on the door and went over to take the food from the delivery guy, thanking him as he carried it back to the kitchen island. In a couple minutes he had Buck's broth in a bowl and warm, his own stir fry hot and begging to be eaten. Considering Eddie had just come off a 24 hour shift when he headed to "check" on Buck, the food was very welcome and he took a couple bites for himself before sneaking upstairs to check on Buck. He was still asleep and for the first time since Eddie had barged into his apartment, he didn't look like he was uncomfortable. A part of Eddie felt cruel for waking him but the other part of him, the medic part, knew Buck needed something in his stomach that wasn't Pedialyte or water.
"Hey, Buck, come eat something," he called up the stairs. Eddie heard Buck groan followed by the sound of him trying to get out of bed.
"Eddie I'm dying," he groaned. Eddie rolled his eyes.
"You're clearly feeling better if you're complaining about dying. C'mon, come down here."
Sure enough, Buck made his way downstairs in a pair of athletic shorts and a shirt just as Eddie tossed a spoon down on the table beside the bowl. He collapsed into the seat in front of the soup, one eye on the downstairs bathroom door.
"Try and keep that down then we can talk about something solid."
"Thanks, Eds."
Buck picked up the spoon and tentatively worked on getting the soup down; Eddie joined him after a minute and practically chewed through his stir fry without even thinking about it. Nothing could ever be as good as Bobby's-
Oh, that's what he forgot.
Bobby: is everything okay?
Bobby: Eddie?
Eddie: sorry Bobby I completely forgot
Eddie: he's got food poisoning but he's already coming out the other side
Bobby: I figured you'd call if there were issues. Thanks Eddie
Buck, sitting beside Eddie working on his soup, raised an eyebrow as Eddie put his phone down.
"What's Chris up to?"
"Hopefully not begging Carla for a second serving of ice cream. No; that was Bobby. He was worried when you called in."
Buck frowned; Eddie could see where his mind was going and touched his shoulder.
"I would have come to check on you if I'd known even if he didn't ask. You don't call out of work unless you're contagious or it's serious."
Buck pushed away the soup, elbow on the table so he could rest his head on his hand. Eddie reached over to check him for a fever again.
"How do you feel?" He asked. Buck made the so-so motion.
"My head hurts."
"Go lie on the couch; I'll change your sheets so you can go to bed."
"Eddie no, you don't have to-"
"-Buck, it's clean sheets; not a marriage proposal."
Buck's mouth twitched upward into a smile; Eddie squeezed his shoulder and left the table to go upstairs. Buck watched after him with a warm feeling in his stomach.
It wasn't nausea.
-
When Buck stirred the next morning he paused, grimacing to take stock of the situation. His head was down to a gentle (irritating) throb against his temples but his stomach was staying put for the time being. The sheets were still tucked over him and he yawned into his hand, rolling over and tossing an arm over his bed mate-
Wait.
Cracking his eyes open Buck took stock of the situation. He knew he'd been sick again sometime overnight, barely able to remember tossing cookies (soup) because it had come out of nowhere in his doze. Part of him remembered Eddie being there, a figure in the darkness and he'd-
He'd stayed.
"Eddie," Buck whispered. Eddie cracked an eye open and reached his arm out, brushing a thumb over Buck's cheek.
"You look better," he rasped. Buck hummed.
"You didn't have to stay."
"Hm, well, maybe I wanted to."
Buck's eyes fluttered shut as he revelled in the feeling of Eddie's thumb on his cheek. When Eddie was half asleep he could be incredibly tactile and Buck lived for when he got to see Eddie like that.
"No one needs to see-"
"-Buck. I want to know when you're sick, or you're hurting. Whatever it is."
Buck's cheeks flushed and he buried his face back against his pillow. Eddie's hand moved to the back of his neck, brushing through the ends of his hair like it was something he did all the time.
"Thanks for coming, Eddie."
"Sure."
Eddie gently squeezed Buck's shoulder.
It felt like coming home.

Tartan and the Bowtie
Let's get some visuals down first. Here are two copies of the same tartan design Aziraphale wears, just in purple instead of his normal brown:
Tumblr media
See the blue markings? On the top image, it's showing in order a wide gap, a thin stripe, a narrow gap, a thick set of stripes, and a wide gap. I mark that as "thin/thick". Horizontal orientation for this is thin on top and thick on bottom.
On the bottom image, it's the same parts marked, just in a different stripe order: wide gap, thick stripes, narrow gap, thin stripes, wide gap. That's thick/thin. Horizontal orientation for this is thick on top and thin on bottom.
The bowtie always reads the same way when you start from one side and go to the other. I'm going left to right.
Throughout the show, the order of the lines changes, as does the colors in the bowtie. It even changes orientation sometimes, with the tartan going horizontal vs vertical. Sometimes the actual colors and lines don't change but what's prominent does change: lines get darker or more saturated as opposed to very light/faded.
The order of the stripes changes with respect to "who's first", who's being served:
(1) thick/thin: Aziraphale is protecting others (usually Crowley), aka "others first"
or
(2) thin/thick: Aziraphale is being or needs protected, allows someone else to lead, or is being selfish, aka "Aziraphale first": this is thin/thick
This applies more broadly too, as whether the wearer is doing these things, like when Crowley wearing Aziraphale's face is concerned with protecting Aziraphale: it looks the same way it does when Aziraphale protects Crowley, ie thick/thin.
Thick lines first mean Aziraphale is doing the protecting, putting others first; thin line first means he's putting himself first or someone else is protecting him. Mostly we see the bowtie and tartan in a vertical orientation, but we do see it horizontal a few times. The normal vertical means they are equal, standing side by side on their own side; the horizontal means Aziraphale is putting "sides" first, and they're not partners. They can show up in conjunction, which I think means sides is in conflict with their relationship: this happened in s1 in 1967 with the thermos and cravat, which kept changing how it was situated on his neck between cuts.
Here is all my data for s1:
Tumblr media
Previously I had thought it was just lighting that changed its apparent colors, but no, it actually does change colors. And design. Here is one of the s2 ones, you can see the thin and thick vertical lines around the wide gaps:
Tumblr media
Here's s1e1 in the park, well lit, it's nearly completely red and brown, no blue, and it's turned 90deg, you can see the thin/thick lines horizontally:
Tumblr media
This is the same tartan design in different colors, but turned 90degrees. Look:
Tumblr media
There's the vertical lines and gaps.
Same scene, same light, but this one is right after Crowley gets up off the bench, it looks way darker, still red and brown, perhaps black lines:
Tumblr media
You can see in the horizontal thick lines that they're darker. The top one barely shows up, but the bottom is obvious. Those are different colors. Pretty sure they may even be tied differently, because the top one looks like a simple singular piece, whereas the bottom one has multiple pieces in its bow. Not a bow expert so idk if that's just the angle. The bows might be partially CGI because as you watch this scene, you can see the darker lines fade in on the cut right before this one.
From there, they go walk to the Bentley, and that's when it turns to the vertical orientation we see in the rest of the show, only switching back for the time in the Ritz in e1:
Tumblr media
You can see the blue isn't very prominent in this like it is in the later s1 and s2. This is as they're walking up the steps to the Bentley. This scene is right after Crowley tells him they won't be together after the apocalypse, and that's when it "changes orientation" ie swaps to their own side aka I think that means he decides he's going to stop the apocalypse. It wasn't way later in the bookshop, that was just when he verbally agreed after getting a justification he could float by heaven. He'd already agreed and wanted to do it here, right after he got off the bench, realizing he wouldn't have Crowley anymore.
And s1e6 in the Ritz:
Tumblr media
THAT'S PURPLE! This is the design we see most of the season, we just can't see the colors too well. I think the thin line is dark red, possibly purple, but the thick set of lines is definitely purple. The horizontal lines are green, dark red, and a brown shadow stripe. The background is brown. Aziraphale is the thick line if we accept the meaning I've proposed for what the order of the lines means, and then that means he's the purple. Not Crowley. Aziraphale is the one with the power here, not Crowley. The line representing Crowley (usually, at least) could also be purple instead of red, but it's the thin line and only 1 vs 3, so I would take that to mean that's way less power than Aziraphale.
In other costume metas I've seen, people have said that the number of loopy bits in the angel necklines cooresponded to how many "wings" or "wheels" each rank had, so perhaps this means Aziraphale has 3 and Crowley has 1. I do not know how to read the shadow lines, which you can see accompanying both the thin line and I think the center of the set of three/the thick line.
In s2 during the final fifteen, the bowtie is always vertical, not horizontal--so I don't think he was actually saying "you are less than me and heaven is better than you". It is thin/thick during the chinwag with the Metatron as he refuses to go to heaven, which I would read as both Aziraphale was being selfish (because in the beginning he had no reason to say no except wanting to be with Crowley) but also by the end he was in danger. It's thick/thin delivering the news to Crowley, which it only does in protection/helping mode. Until they're directly in front of the elevator, where it's thin/thick until the end: Aziraphale's in danger.
If you go through the data in the chart above, and combine it with what colors are shown on the bowtie and the scene as a whole, you can figure out more of what's going on in each scene. You *can* interpret things many ways but I do think there's an intended meaning and that they have told us what that's supposed to be, we just need to do the grunt work to figure it out. You don't gotta like the intended interpretation, but you should know what it is so you can better blaspheme properly if that's what you're going to do.

Background Details in Helluva Boss S1 E1 - Murder Family
1. The Murder Family's House
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are a lot of clues in the background of the episode that the family are serial killers (and likely cannibals) before it's revealed to the characters.
This is mainly apparent from the décor (pelvis bone wallpaper, furniture made of human-looking bones and most blatantly a human head mounted on the wall) but also the human hand hanging out of the fridge and the various weapons covering the walls.
2. I.M.P City Details
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The number on the fire engine is "420" - this is possibly a play on words based on the phrase "blaze it".
And I know this one has been brought up a few times already in other posts but I can't not mention the infamous billboard mentioned in the pilot and shown in the background not far from the office.
3. The I.M.P Office Building (Exterior)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The plated sign at the entrance of the building says "Succ Ink" with a hand-written sign underneath saying "I.M.P Floor 7", implying that the building is primarily used by Succubi and Incubi.
Additionally, the building is marked as condemned but Blitzo and co appear to have intentionally hidden this by covering up the sign with an I.M.P poster advertising their services (also shout out to the "Dick?" billboard in the background)
4. The I.M.P Office rooms (interior)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I actually first noticed this in a later episode but only realised when re-watching the series later that it was present in episode 1: There's a lemon tree in Blitzo's office with a sign saying "no whores", presumably referencing this infamous porn intro.
The main room of the I.M.P offices has tons of pictures on the walls but some particularly notable ones shown in this episode are:
A drawing (in Blitzo's signature style) of two imp-horses kissing. Considering the horns and markings, one of them seems to be based on Blitzo himself but it's not clear who the other horse is supposed to be, if anyone.
Another Blitzo drawing of a bunch of horses running.
A picture of Fizzarolli with an arrow through his neck (though based on the colours and clothing this may be robo-Fizzarolli specifically)
A picture of a person in a top hat with an arrow pointing to them saying "Loser". It looks like it might be Sir Pentious from Hazbin Hotel but I'm not totally sure (let me know what you think!)
The photo Luna's holding - the main thing that's notable about this one is that the boy in the picture seems to be the same one from the Helluva Boss pilot.
5. Blitzo's Horse Thing
Tumblr media
In addition to all the aforementioned horse drawings, this episode introduces the first of Blitzo's horse toys/figurines which he keeps in his inner pockets and for some reason takes with him on assassinations.
That's it for episode 1 but let me know if there are any other fun details I missed and if there's enough I might make a part 2.
In the meantime, you can see all my other Helluva Boss background details posts here.

Babylon 5 rewatch, S1 E1: Midnight on the Firing Line
This truly was formative, my base for solving the FTL problem is jumpgates.
Landoooooo
VIR
I don't remember the little Centauri fangs--I wonder if that was kept for later episodes
Okay okay okay. They made FIVE of these Babylon stations in TEN YEARS after the Earth-Minbari war. (Despite 4 of them being destroyed/disappearing in mysterious circumstances) The political will! The logistics! THIS IS A UTOPIA
The city I live in has approximately the same population as Babylon 5 which was always useful for me in terms of envisioning scale
Deleeeennnnn (spelling???)
G'Kaaaaaaar
Oh Sinclair you military head
Chin joke=bad
Now, I do think it's possible that an ambassador might not know about an attack, official or unofficial, but I'm not involved in politics
Spoo in the first episode
I love G'Kar's outfit.
I know the first episode doesn't get into the greater history but the Narn can do WHATEVER THEY WANT to the Centauri for real IMO.
I wonder how many details were planned out in advance re: the dream.
I'm so irritated ooh your nephew cool cool cool IT'S UNIMAGINABLE what the Centauri did to the Narn, it was NOT equal.
It's so fun to see the 90s influence even in the attempt to design a futuristic space
KOSH MY BELOVED
KOOOOOOOSH
I want to make that costume so bad I want to have that cosplay I just don't know hoooooooow
Vir what was the job description when you applied because I'm 100% sure it didn't account for this *gestures vaguely at everything*
Garibaldi don't do that
Of course they'll sell to anyone I bet Narn doesn't HAVE ANY MONEY after what the Centauri did, they're DESPERATE
It's very funny to see G'Kar and Sinclair before their character development/all the crazy shit that happens to them
Man I'm not paying much attention to the raiders; I don't think they end up continually important after this episode
Imagine putting on full face alien makeup for essentially an extra role
Oh so since the Centauri have had Ragesh 3 for a century they should just keep it now???? This situation sucks on all levels
The spaceships look fine when you watch them on a small screen like the 90s intended
So from this we can learn: 1) Ambassadors aren't supposed to have guns on Babylon 5 2) they will make sure to have a gun anyway
Sinclair you may be right and the Narn may be wrong in this case but I want to slap that smug look off Sinclair's face so bad
I didn't realize that we got Ivanova's backstory in the first episode
LMAO I want to know Delenn's thought process accepting Garibaldi's invitation. Love her being like "hmmm" about popcorn! Also okay this makes Garibaldi a sort of different guy than maybe the impression was supposed to be. Like in 1993 the Looney Tunes were ~40-year-old cartoons, and in the early 2000s they still aired on Cartoon Network. A guy who's into 40 year old stuff is like a regular nostalgic guy. Garibaldi's character, however, is into 300 YEAR OLD MEDIA. 300 YEAR OLD HUMOR is his (second) favorite thing in the whole world. That's a completely different kind of guy. Imagine a guy today obsessed with stuff from the 1720s. That's a completely different kind of weirdo.
"preserving Earth cultures in the face of non-Terran influences" warning, warning, danger will robinson! (and it's intended to alarm the audience, I know this)

For Screen readers, this is a poll.
The question is, does this link allow you to watch the video?
Option one is "yes" (please list country in tags)
Option two is "no" (please list country in tags)
the link in question is
^please click the above link, and if applicable push 'play' and see if the video loads, or see if it says "not available in your country".
I was trying to find where to buy/stream the Doctor Who unofficial australian spinoff, K9 (2009, and completely unrelated to the K9 and Company spinoff of the 70's/80's that only had a pilot episode) , since Pluto TV only has the first episode now, and after ordering the DVD, I discovered that the show creators are intelligent since the DVD and have the entire series, all 26 episodes, available to stream completely for free on their website!
If you have not watched K9 (2009) yet, or if its been years since you've seen it, this is your sign to watch it !
the poll is because someone said the link said it was unavailable in their country, so now I'm curious who gets to also watch K9 for free :)
Don't forget to reblog to share the Doctor Who love :)

25 and 33!
Thank you for the asks!
25: Fave season and why?
This is actually a very difficult answer for me! Both as I don't hugely prefer one season over the other and as my experience of watching each season was really different!
I adored Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles from a child and teen and was excited to hear the show was being made... but I am also always equally terrified when any thing I love is adapted.
Sidenote: I saw a play on stage - a production of Amadeus a few years ago, a film I'd watched obsessively as a child... and I was initially excited it was going to happen and booked (1) ticket... but when it got close I felt like "I don't want to go! I'm not excited anymore because what if I hate it and then I not only hate it but it ruins my memory of the film I loved?!" Anyway, I saw the play and adored it so much I ended up seeing it like 40 times or something, LOL... I still wish I had a time machine to experience that play live again now. They incorporated live musicians (not dead ones hahahahaha) on stage too and OH MY, HOW I FELT THE MUSIC ALONGSIDE THE EXQUISITE ACTING. Oh, how I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed even watching it for the 35th time!!! I share to compare...
So, with IWTV - I knew it was happening, but I didn't follow production of the show and I didn't follow when it aired in the US. Every so often I kept thinking *When is this show coming to my country, because I *do* want to watch it* and eventually it arrived in Autumn 2023...
But even then, I went into it, thinking "Maybe I'll hate it." My predominant feeling before watching was FEAR. Not excitement or curiosity. Fear.
Then, Lestat watched Louis as Louis pulled a blade and put it to Paul's throat and in that INSTANT I felt "THERE IS MY LESTAT!". I didn't even think it. I felt it in my blood and bones and soul. And what with wondrous Jacob too, I was sold. Like ugh - the church at the end of episode 1. The music. Oh MY! But I was way past the era of the initial online excitement or chat around the show. I just binged the whole series till episode 5. I actually then found episode 5 incredibly difficult... and it was worse because by episode 4 into 5 I had fallen so in love with the show and, since it wasn't too long ago, I can clearly remember myself sitting, watching episode 5 and getting to the end of it and thinking. Oh. It is RUINED. I do not even want to watch any more. And it was a few days before I could bring myself to watch the rest of the series.
Of course, I watched the rest of the series. But I actually needed to rewatch the whole series then one time, after a few week's break before I could truly enjoy episodes 6 and 7 in full. I really did find episode 5 in S1 that hard.
So, with S2 I'm obviously here with you all, utterly addicted! I watched in a very different way - able to discuss episodes afterwards and immediately process things with this wonderful community!
Hmm... I would say that I like both seasons relatively similarly, but for different reasons:
S1 - I think overall, the resonance of it as a whole works better for me, and obviously the delicious chemistry of Sam and Jacob; Lestat and Louis and the Romance of Louis' immortal turning, bookended with the Gothic Romance of Lestat's murder is Shakespearean exquisite beauty to be. And Lestat's speech on the balcony, speaking Anne Rice's words... I just adore it SO much. Like UGH. My heart - with Lestat knowing Louis plans to kill him, but not truly believing he will until the second it happens, because he could never do such to Louis and surely Louis can't either... but then of course he must and Lestat's acceptance of it as an act of love and mercy from Louis. Vibrate my soul!!
S2 - I just love the poetry of S2. The poetic writing in episode 1 and the music in E1 - the way S2 began was just so beautiful to me. I cried a lot more during S2, often as I found DreamStat unbearably moving and/or poignant (either in and of himself or in his relevance to and what he expressed from Louis... and in E1, towards Claudia.). The You & Me scene - scenes like this where there is such exquisite acting taking place without even the need for words to articulate it. Lestat's letter; when Dreamstat vanishes. Assad's Armand also often made me cry. In the Louvre! The ache at the heart of Armand wherein he has so much love to give truly, yet doesn't understand how to be loved or how to love and so this pure love instead twists into the most terrible, terrifying thing, like a knotted tree! Also S2E5. S2E5!!! OMG what perfect TV! And I adore in an abstract sense how utterly Anne Riceean that episode is, despite being mainly created for TV, with not that many of Anne's actual words in! (And I adore Jacob doing takedown of Lestat using Anne's words, especially that they used the bit that truly would wound Lestat most from the books - when he calls Lestat's playing emotionless!!!!!)
So in terms of emotion, I would give S2 the edge. In terms of overall arc, I would definitely say S1. I'm going to say it: I know a lot of people loved E7 & 8 the most in S2 and as you can tell by my 100-plus gifs, I adored the Loustat reunion... but The Trial didn't fully work for me. Which isn't a negative comment. It isn't that I didn't like it. There's just so much I don't understand about it. Which is fine - Louis doesn't understand the trial in IWTV... yet there is more feeling to The Trial in the book of IWTV from what he sees in Lestat - things he hasn't described before... Whereas here - I don't understand fully why or how Lestat is in Paris; how much is his own free will (before and after the trial); I don't fully understand Armand's feelings and motivations and desires. I don't understand what, if anything has gone on between Armand and Lestat. I don't fully understand Lestat and Armand's feelings or motivations or drives and so then it is hard to fully feel from it all. I also thought we'd get a lot more answers regarding memory with all the memory is a monster hints and it felt like all that was opening up in S2E5 only to... just not really happen much more or go anywhere big enough for me after that...?!
Yeah... a super-long answer to this question, in which I didn't really answer the question...
What do you all think/feel? I'm curious!
33: Any hobbies?
Well I guess I use music in my work, so we can't call it a hobby, but I have never done any personally creative thing with music and do not in any way consider myself a musician, so I do love to try to be creative musically, alone, as a hobby if I can drag myself from the pit of *you are an awful human who ought not exist* I obviously love film and TV and I love going to the theatre. I love to read. I used to be a dancer, aged 3-18. I really miss that. I don't dance now. I did ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, Romanian, modern and Scottish dancing!
I actually think there is something to be said for doing hobbies you are terrible at though! Then you can try to find the joy in a thing as you did when you were a child, with zero expectation, as you still have the skill level of a child too! I did like to draw as a little child (only till age 8-ish and that's where my skill-level ended) but I always hated painting, even in school. I was scared of paint and how you can't control it! Sometimes, now though, I find it fun to paint. There's no expectation as it isn't something I can do. But I really recommend to anyone to try a hobby you're terrible at - it can be freeing.
Pretty embarrassing to share this when there are so many actual INCREDIBLE artists on Tumblr (I am in awe of you all), but I'll share it in order to truly show you I cannot art and also to say - do these things - it can be the truest escape. Like, if I try to create music, I know enough to know how terrible what I am doing is. But I know I am terrible at art and that is FINE! It's just for fun!
Tumblr media
Say hello to my wee ghost in the sky friend! This was actually inspired by the film A Ghost Story. Actually, you know, Daniel Hart is the creative involved in Interview with the Vampire whose work I have known the longest! I first heard (& ADORED!) his music in the film Ain't Them Bodies Saints.
Anyway, that's more than anyone ever wanted to read on these two questions, I'm sure!!!

Hello, thank you so much for the tag 💜💜💜
Maybe 3, 6 and 9 for Simon? :)
Helloo! And thank you sm for the ask 🥰
3. Obscure headcanon
OoooO interesting.. hmm. Maybe that Simon actually had a fairly easy time at Marieberg. They only ever mention Sara getting bullied, and he had Rosh and Ayub, and probably other school friends. I don't think he was popular per se, but I feel like he would not have been picked on or ostracized nearly as much for his class or race (referencing the dinner scene where they said it was 'more diverse'). I see this as another self-sacrifice of his: sacrificing his own school experience and being with his friends so Sara can have company at Hillerska and not get bullied.
6. Worst personality trait
Don't hate me but in S1 sometimes I felt that if I were in class w Simon I may also not like him at first 😭😭😭 he had so many valid reasons to be this way but I get put off by standoffishness bc I'm a pretty friendly person. But I got over that quickly when I saw how much of a sweetheart he is in his own life, and the reasons he was that way at that damn school. Literally can't think of anything else, I'm in camp Simon Is Perfect 😇
9. Scene that made me first love them
I fell in love with Simon in e1 when I watched him interact with Sara (after August pressured him to buy alcohol). He just seemed so kind and loving towards her. Their relationship to me is like top 2 most beautiful things about this show. Oh, and his cute little smile when Micke said he was buying the alcohol to impress a boy he liked. Our sweet boy.
