thinking about . ellen the night after the three set out on the orca. the last time she's mentioned in the film is after quint brushes her off over the radio, when he says that brody's just caught some fish and that they'll "bring 'em around for dinner" (specifically that they "won't be long"). but then. evidently they don't go back for dinner - they just stay overnight on the boat. that's.. potentially hours and hours without knowing if her husband is ok or even alive. did brody call her that night to let her know. she's so, so scared when he leaves. she runs off in tears. did brody call her that night to let her know he was ok i need to know :(((

FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH. I can't focus on any new shows yet so I spent all day binge watching dance academy with my mom and getting her way overly invested in all that campy 2010s australian teen dance school drama. the iconic pointe shoe slap. the emotional gutwrenching details of Christian's character. the second hand embarrasment at everything Tara says and does. I swear to GOD I could talk about dance academy enough to fill a podcast. I cannot wait for her to meet Grace. it's going to get so messy.

I had my four month top surgery milestone last week! 

which is wild because it actually feels way longer! I’ve just been living my best flat life and feeling settled in a way I’ve never felt before, so it genuinely seems like it’s been way longer than only four months

but ALSO it’s wild because they originally offered me either march or july for my surgery date, so it’s bizarre to think that I’ve been... doing all this stuff and enjoying summer and enjoying being in my body because of top surgery. but in a parallel world I could be like “hey guys just got my drains out.” weird! extremely happy I took the march date! 

anyway! genuinely can’t wrap my mind around it being only four months. because this just feels... like it’s my body. and it’s hard to believe there was ever a time when it wasn’t my body, or that that time was actually recent

my mom: *makes herself angry at something, rants to me about it, tells me to my face I caused her to rant because she’s angry me + my brothers don’t share her exact same opinions and christian faith and how I’m a bully for telling her not to read things that she knows will upset her, and I shouldn’t tell her things she already knows even though she did exactly the opposite to my advice* my mom two hours later: I wish my kids lived near me I don’t know what I did to make you all so different and live far away.
