I yet have to write an actual long fic with an unhappy ending, but i once made Steve come back wrong and killed everyone but Eddie and him for a ficlet, does that count? 😅

All of my long fics have happy endings, but Hic sunt dracones probably has the happiest to me. They're mated and disgustingly in love and it's flower crowns and apple pie and hot, hot monsterfucking forever after. 🐉🔥❤️

I've been called racist and ableist and British, among other things, but 99.9% of all reactions I get are lovely! 💖

I co-wrote an original work with a school friend some 20 years ago. And by co-wrote I mean we took turns with the document and key-smashed what we thought should happen next where the other had left off. 🤣

The King’s Gift will be a very close collaboration between @house-of-the-moving-image and I bc we've developed the idea and the entirety of the plot together and are bringing it alive through our respective mediums. It's heaps of fun! ✨️

It's Steddie, people. Not only because they've quite literally eroded my brain, but also because of the wonderful people I've found and the beautiful experiences I've made and continue to make in this fandom. I've never been active in any fandom before, but I'm so, so glad I've taken the leap. 

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

I try to finish all my WIPs and am very much committed to finishing the two I have ongoing rn. 

That being said, there's a bunch of microfics and drabbles I'd love to expand on if I ever find the time (lake monster and ballerina Steve, I see you). 😅

I've repeatedly been told that I create very vivid images with my writing, and that's something I find really lovely. And I love world building. ✨️🥰

Wordy bitch disease. I ramble, I spiral, I spin completely out of control. The amount of fics that ended up being much longer than I initially thought is embarrassing.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I’ve never actually done that. I’d definitely enlist the help of someone who is proficient enough in the language in question to ensure I don’t make an utter ass of myself. 😅

The wizard who must not be named. I must’ve been fourteen or something? It was probably so bad, and sometimes I think I'd like to re-read it again, but it’s now lost on some hard drive in a junkyard somewhere, hopefully never to be seen again. 🪦

20. Favorite fic you've written?

I love all of my fics, each for its own reasons, but Hic sunt dracones will forever hold a special place in my heart. It is everything I ever dreamed of when I fantasized about writing and publishing my own fics but was too shy to do so. I’ve met and befriended amazing people over it. It has fanart. Even close to one year after I finished it, people are still telling me how much they loved it, and it feels so wonderful to know my writing resonated so much with somebody out there. I can never talk about it without getting all up in my feels. 🐉🥲💕

Hi there! @ossya123 I am answering this here as this is the origin blog of my Chance and for all I know you may really not be the only one curious, but you were the first person to speak up. Firstly I would like to thank you for your kind words! I have been literally just been thinking how to respond to this that wasn't a mess because this is the first time I've had anyone really ask about my boy in god like almost 3 years!

To answer you though, I cannot say for certain on if there would be anything more. I have things written and started don't get me wrong but it has been hard finding the motivation and creativity to finish them. However, I don't want to get your hopes up in that there will be something new for you to read beyond an ask or two here and there because in all honesty while Chance, Cat, Lance, and Liz have been popping up in my brain in the last few months and I do miss them and have the urge to write them once again doesn't mean I'll be able to follow through. Which is a non-answer I know, and probably not what you wanted to hear. Because you asked though I did go through my wips and found at least 2 pieces that I wanted to finish and were pretty far along, not long enough unfortunately to post as is sadly.

The searching though did make me remember what joy I had writing him and the creation of his story and how it connects to the rest of the world that I built, which admittedly I don't know if it would fit in the current fc5 fandom if it ever did to begin with haha. That revelation and reminder, though, goes a long way into showing me how far away the feelings that made me stop from writing and interaction with the media and my ocs to begin with are. There were a multitude of reasons I put fc5 on a shelf and turned to other media, but my love for them never went away, and if I manage to finish one of those old pieces it would be thanks to you!

We shall see if I manage to write something for him and maybe finish the one piece I wanted to so badly before all the things that led up to me no longer writing for them. I got a little bit written that was new and did do a re-read editing here and there today because man has my writing come a ways since that time I think. In the mean time I hope you are content with what's on Ao3 and in the masterlist (general masterlist) which had some other little bits that were never posted to Ao3 only on tumblr!

Once again from the bottom of my heart thank you for caring about him and giving a little poke because it sparked something within me. I apologize there has not been anything in so long and that I cannot guarantee an outcome. And to anyone else out there that reads this, I thank you for also caring about him or any of my fc5 kids. I don't know how well received this'll be but I'm suddenly very compelled to reach out.

As of recently, I've been pretty down in the dumps about this passion project of mine, wondering if the changes I've been making are necessary, how effective things come across, etc. As a solution to finding out if I'm on the right track or not, I would like to reach out for some aid!

Beyond Time and Space is looking for feedback!

IT'S A JOURNEY - A RACE - BEYOND TIME AND SPACE. When an often-flighty young girl is conflicted by her desire to express her capabilities and her fear of doing more than what she can handle, the moment arises when a team of brave individuals are needed to carry out a quest to explore and gather information on alternate universes. However, the drive of another blocks their path in reigning successful; so much so, the team is left to go on a journey that’s much longer than they wished.

Beyond Time and Space is a character-driven sci-fi fantasy portal world story, targeting an adolescent/YA audience. The story is written in screenplay format, as I have the slightly ambitious intention of this becoming an animated series in the near-or-far future.

If you're a fan of narratives consisting of fantasy worlds, finding understanding and tolerance, a majority queer and/or neurodivergent main cast, characters exploring and adapting to the unknown, and finding courage and acting with bravery despite what the characters tell themselves, then please consider!

GENRE: SFF (sci-fi fantasy), portal world/portal fantasy, adventure

THEMES: courage and bravery (main), hope, coming of age, friends and family, love (and letting it go), power (and the lack thereof), loyalty and commitment.

CONTENT WARNINGS: fantasy violence, metaphorical and literal displays of mental health topics (depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc.), mentions of war, character death/harm, discrimination, fictitious religions/practices and beliefs that highly resemble real life religions.

POV: past tense, Multi-POV, 3rd person.

SCHEDULE: Nothing set in stone as of now, as (1) the story is still a WIP and (2) my family is currently in the process of moving (plus I understand that life gets in the way of things all the time), but I'm thinking between May 20th to June 1st for sign-ups, and the entire month of June for reading, according to how things are looking over here, though if extensions are needed for any and every reason, I'll be willing to comply. The plan is to start this first round with just the first episode (currently around 8k words - 53 pages).

REQUIREMENTS: A list of requirements follows:

The ability to read (have it be with your eyes or with a screen reader);

Though please note: my experience has told me that there may be errors with TTS when it comes to translating scripts, so if need be I can find a way to reformat things so it'll translate better.

Availability at any point within the time frame (the month of June);

As noted before, the game plan is to send off the script to the first episode once line edits are completed and May 20th comes around (news flash: they are!). While the script itself is a PDF, I can totally convert it to a Word or Google doc according to personal preferences (which you can select in the forum). You're also free to stop and opt out whenever you like, if the experience isn't suiting your fancy :) So long as you let me know, obviously.

I'll be sure to add another form with the script itself that'll ask specific questions and allow you to elaborate on any thoughts you might've had while reading. Mainly looking for pacing, narrative consistency, characterization and if their motives/desires are clear, things along that line. I'm willing to be flexible, though, so anything extra you want to bring up will also be looked at and listened to!

Also, forgot to mention, but I would love to be open to beta reading in exchange around the same time frame these go out! I will admit, I don't have a lot of experience myself - in fact I'm just starting with the first book I've volunteered for - but if you'd like someone who's a casual reader to look at your work for free, keep me in your subspace and don't hesitate to hit me up!

I have written one! It's a multi crossover one shot including Damon from tVD, Dr Cox from Scrubs and Sirius Black from Harry Potter where they meet in a bar and become drinking buddies and vent to each other. Might have potential to be extended and translated into English 🤔 been thinking of adding Dean Winchester at the end anyway...

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I wouldn't say hate, but someone demanded I write longer chapters, and not in a nice, I-need-more way, literally demanded, which I found a bit rude.

That's the million dollar question isn't it? 😂 I feel like I'm slowly working up to someday writing explicit smut. I definitely have ideas 😏

Not that I know. Quite the opposite, someone once asked me if they could use the premise of my fic for their own. Which I said yes to. As long as you don't copy paste (parts) of my fics, you're welcome to use them as inspiration for pretty much anything.

No, but I have attempted/started translating HP fic into German several years ago.

It's a one shot collection though, so "finish" is relative but I do have a few more ideas already planned, just not much motivation to write them at the moment.

What’s your writing strengths?

I do think I have unique ideas and if I'm in the zone I usually get the pacing right. I've definitely gotten better at plotting, too.

And weirdly, I think I'm doing alright at dialogue when that's the exact thing I used to struggle the most with. I remember that that was the task in my 15 month creative writing class that took me the longest to complete.

What’s your writing weaknesses?

Descriptions 🙃 I think years of academic writing and editing my own papers to be as concise as possible have done some damage. Plus it's super hard for my constantly fatigued brain to come up with synonyms, so my vocabulary isn't as diverse as it could be.

Also, action. Which is a big reason for why I haven't written smut yet.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?

I think it only really works when you a) don't want the reader/protagonist to know what's being said or b) if it's a language/ expression that is widely known so it can be assumed that most people will at least roughly know what's being said. Otherwise it just becomes a mess with trying to translate within the context.

In the end, it all boils down to the fact that dialogue should always add value. Direct dialogue isn't always necessary.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

The Vampire Diaries.

What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

It's gotta be a tie between my one shot collection and Kink in the South.

If we're talking older fics, at the time I was very proud of a multichapter Kol/OC tVD fic that I never finished.

3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year

okay, I know the answer for this is something from In Orbit, because I have loved writing almost every scene of that story (even things that started out as filler I usually got more into and found things to love). I could literally quote half the fic and call it my favorite, but here are two lines in particular that I'm fond of:

Kurt, though, was not Rachel Berry - and most days he was very, very thankful for this. (Chapter 26)

It was like a well-worn sweater, Kurt thought. He knew every stitch and seam of their relationship, and even if it had been packed away and unused for months, it was just as cozy as he remembered when he took it out of storage. (Chapter 18)

14. a fic you didn’t expect to write

I guess all of the things I wrote for Glee Advent? I've rarely/never written outside of my main ships, so the fact that I felt motivated to get into the heads of other characters was really cool! I guess I'll specifically highlight Christmas Sponsor, because I can't believe I actually wrote about Sam and Rory having Christmas together but I'm so glad I did
