I’m not any of the anons from before but as a fellow kazuichi fan I’d personally love to hear you talk about why you like him if you feel like it! personally I was first drawn to his character design, I just thought he looked cool, and then the second he opened his mouth and revealed himself as a loser, I loved him like ten times more lol. I know some people think he’s ‘creepy’ but I feel like he keeps enough a distance from Sonia that he’s just a guy with a crush, and also his “don’t you ever just wanna take girls apart and see how their bones work” line lives in my head rent free

Ok well. Sorry dude (genuinely) but I dont think I think of him the way a lotta ppl do. Heres my take sorry if it ruins it

First of all, do I LIKE his character? No. I like what could become of it if handled well, in the future (same with Akane and Sonia and... a lotta characters tbh).

I dont want to gloss over that he was really not cool with Sonia. I DON'T think it was like, a simple silly crush like any other dude would have, I think he WAS inappropriate about it and (most likely completely unbeknownst to him) enforcing things that she genuinely could not stand. He was insecure and took it out on others as well as himself.

These are all character flaws. Every single character has them (some more than others). Fuyuhiko was genuinely a dick (as I have said many times, having anger issues isnt an excuse for the way he talks sometimes), Hiyoko is a bully, Ibuki is insensitive when se gets caught up, Impostor is condescending sometimes, etc. Kazuichi isnt the only one to be a jackass sometimes and t deny it is to deny his character, just as much as reducing him to only that is oversimplifying it.

What I like about Kazuichi is: the design.

I like the teenage insecurity. He thinks he wants to be a chick magnet, but gets scared when girls show an interest in him. His ideal woman is basically a barbie doll. He's a little too eager to see his boy bestie naked. He was so excited for a class retreat because he's never had one before. He was so desperate to be cool and tough and not a nerd that he drastically (and no doubt painfully, ow, TEETH) changed his appearance to conform to his Ideal Self, but could not actually change his personality.

He's basically a teenage boy, warts and acne at all, trying so hard to be The That Guy but spectacularly failing. He's actually somewhat of a genius (and the Death Trap stuff hints to him having a lot of repressed turmoil which honestly so true, teenagers whose only outlet is fantasizing about the gory demise of their tormentors, SO TRUE) but he can't SEE that because he wants to be some kind of cool punk frat bro dude. He's so busy living up to some idealized version of himself that he fumbles who he actually is, which if he just took a moment, would be a pretty cool dude. Basically, did you ever discover a cool band and tried to model your entire personality after what you thought those vibes would be? That, but sad.

So yeah, I think he's great at comedic beats, and also has a lot of heart underneath it, but has never been in a place where he can just accept that and let it shine. His last words were basically "here I am, don't forget me!" which like, man, isnt that just relatable teenagerism?

If Yoshino dies during childbirth and she could've survived if she aborted the baby, in your opinion how would Ibuki react to Yoshino's death and the birth of his daughter all together and what do you think would Ibuki do to the child? For me I think he'll just abandon the child because you know

I've read a fanfic similar to this. Tbh, there can be more than one scenarios. Demons in this world are said to be fickle creatures and they don't feel parental love. Despite all of this, we still see Kurama showing affection towards Izumi in the form of training so that he can live on his own when turns into an adult. He tells that its because Izumi looks like Yoshino but I still think he cares for Izumi.

Ibuki, well, he more...dangerous than Kurama but I think he can understand human emotions better than Kurama. Now coming to his child. The first case scenario will be the best case scenario and that is, Ibuki will love the child because it's made by him and his girlfriend. But life can't be easy so, second scenario will be according to this fanfic I read months ago. In this fanfic, Yoshino and Ibuki have 3 children (all boys), but when Yoshino was pregnant with their 3rd child at the age of 40, her body didn't have the physical strength to give birth to a demon child. So Ibuki wanted to:

Abort the child all together to save Yoshino or,

Bring Yoshino back to life in any form possible by using the 3rd child as a sacrifice.

Yoshino understands how Ibuki feels, but she doesn't want to go with either options. She cares about her child more so she is ready to give birth even if she dies and she also have to make arrangements before she dies so that Ibuki doesn't kill their 3rd child. So she asks Akihito and Yasuchika in advance, to protect her. She tells Akihito to play Shoji with Ibuki and for every time Akihito wins, Ibuki will have to spend time with their children as a punishment. She is doing this so that Ibuki would eventually love their kids and would give up on the idea of sacrificing them. She also told her older kids to protect the 3rd baby from their father and teaches them in everyway to fight back their father if he comes to attack them or kidnap the 3rd child. Does Ibuki know about her plans? Yes, he does. But he still doesn't stop her. He will play with Akihito and for every time he loses, he will play with the 3rd child, all for Yoshino's sake. God I love that fanfic! There is also a line where Ibuki touches Yoshino's swollen belly and says "You're so cute, but you won't do anything scary----like taking Yoshino away from me, right?"

Now what I can take from this fanfic is that:

If Yoshino knows that she will die while giving birth to their daughter and if there is no other way, then will willingly accept her death because that's the kind of woman she is. If Ibuki is showing moments of going completely crazy, she will ask Akihito and Yasuchika to protect their child at any cost. If Ibuki sees the child, instead of killing her, he might harass her or in his language 'play with her' as way to get revenge for killing Yoshino. If the child turned out to be like Yoshino, for example, if the child has Yoshino's smile, or Yoshino's face, then he might.....come to love her.

My third scenario is he would straight-up kill the child and start destroying the world and create havoc everywhere until he dies. Because there is no Yoshino.

In anyways, I don't think it's Ibuki's characteristics to abandon something. He will either destroy it or come to love it. Abandoning something is boring.

Since polyships are on the table... 🍑 Mahiru/Hiyoko/Ibuki or ��� Mahiru/Sato/Hiyoko (I have a feeling this one will go horribly, as I tend to headcanon Hiyoko as being very jealous of Mahiru's affection towards Sato; both Sato and Hiyoko are definitely in love with Mahiru meanwhile can't stand each other. I imagine Sato also dislikes Hiyoko because she reminds her of Natsumi - however fair or unfair that comparison is, I definitely feel like Sato has a hatred of bullies. Meanwhile I think Hiyoko would have a soft spot for Ibuki; she would at first try very hard to push her away and prod at insecurities, but once that failed I could see them getting close. Plus, Hiyoko is attracted to kindness - something that she sees in both Hajime (platonically) and Mahiru, which makes her have a soft spot for them - and underneath her jokey-ness, Ibuki is very kind. And I don't even have to explain why Mahiru/Hiyoko works in this equation, lmao - Ibuki/Mahiru is probably the relationship between the three I've put the least thought in, but, I feel like they'd be amicable.)

Also, my Natsumi rarepairs.... 🍑 Chiaki/Natsumi and 🍑 Mikan/Natsumi... I know they don't interact but Chiaki and Natsumi are very much foils for each other & how they affect Hajime, so I think its a damn shame they never interact... plus Mikan/Natsumi would be so tragic.... finding your girlfriend dead... realizing your friend, Sato, killed her..... selling Sato out to your dead girlfriends brother.... Mahiru having such a favorable view of Sato and negative view of Natsumi & Mikan having the reverse.... the biased narration of Mikan (and Mahiru too).... the thought of my girlfriend was nice to me, a real angel, so she COULDN'T have been bullying you.... and then a year later, meeting a demon in the form of Junko Enoshima, who reminds you so much of your dead girlfriend, who tells you that Hope's Peak is corrupt, didn't look into her death to avoid a scandal with the reserve course so the funding to their pet project doesn't get shut down... and you're angry, you're so angry, that was your girlfriend and they don't even care.... why not let the devil tempt you into revenge? Don't they deserve it? I am so crazy about Natsumi/Mikan and NO ONE is tapping into their potential, the only fics on it on ao3 are my own.... I adore them 😭

I've been holding onto this ask because part of me doesn't even want to touch on a response so it can just stand alone as a testament to the ships. I LOVE seeing people talk about their rarepairs, absolutely fuck yes. Please don't think I'm ignoring you when I'm brief or my thoughts differ from yours because this RULES.

Mahiru/Hiyoko/Ibuki: Neat! Every dynamic in here is fucking stellar. I definitely also think this is a ship that centers on Hiyoko, which in and of itself is sort of fun. Danganronpa fans HATE her. But women LOVE her 😏

Mahiru/Hiyoko/Sato: Basically Canon. I'm biased about this because Mahiru/Sato is my real True SDR2 OTP and I consider both it and Mahiyoko to be Basically Canon on their own. But ALL TOGETHER. BOTH IN LOVE WITH MAHIRU. You know that tumblr post that's like "superhero and supervillain but theyre both friends with the same civilian so when their buddy invites them all out together as civilians they just have to silently seethe at each other across the table"? Yeah

Chiaki/Natsumi: Fine. This. And I'm going to be exposing a lot of things about myself as a person here so everyone just be cool. This is a kismesistude. And I will leave it at that.

Raita unironically has some of THE most diverse character designs in the game. 

From Moriarty, to Kintoki, to Young Moriarty, and even WITH raita’s usual style for busty women, Raikou, Murasaki, and especially Ibuki are still immensely distinct from one another.

Heck, this translates just as well when he draws other characters:

The detail, the heavy exaggeration to bring out the most of a character’s traits.

You don’t have to like the style, in fact I can’t blame you for stuff like Raikou (honestly my least favorite) or feeling put off by his usual schtick. But I really really can’t stand it when people act like he kills a baby and breaks a woman’s back every time he draws.

Chapter 1- A girl that stares

  Another win against creed. Nothing new there. I'm in the last round of SFV and this one is for all the marbles. Of course, I chose Cody, and Creed chosen classic Ibuki.

Obviously, he didn't last long since I crushed him in the final round. After we all came to immense, I walked down the staged and noticed a light skin, dark eyes, black-haired woman looking at me.

This wasn't just a regular look, it was a look as if she likes what she sees from me. She's been staring at me during this whole gaming event but now it's starting to really catch my attention.

She looked beautiful but sadly I had to go and get on my next flight back to Japan.

I told the bucks goodbye as I was about to get in my car and I saw the woman again as she was getting ready to leave as well. Without hesitation, I walked over to her before it was too late.

"Hello," I said to her. She turned towards me and flashed a cute smile at me.

"Hi." She said. Wow her voice sounds more beautiful than I've imagined.

"I've noticed you were staring at me earlier. I didn't know if it was a creepy look or you were  just showing an  interest look." She laughed a little and started to blush.

"I'm sorry about the staring. Yes, I was showing some interest. You're very good at Street Fighter." She said and I started to smirk, trying not to be arrogant but she was right.

"That's very true. I've practiced a lot over the years." I said. She crossed her arms and smirked at me.

"I see. I play street fighter as well. You may be good but, I doubt you can beat me.." She was so confident in her answer. I just laughed. "Is that a challenge?" I asked.

"Yes, it is." She said. I smiled and crossed my arms while giving her a daring look.

"Oh, you're on. I'm supposed to be in Japan tomorrow but I'm up to take your challenge. Does tonight at eight work for you? I know a great arcade we can go to."

I was hoping she was available. I wanted to get to know this girl more. "Sure. Eight works for me. Let me give you my number."

She grabbed a pen and some paper from her car and wrote down her number for me. She handed it to me and got in her car.

"Wait before you go, what's your name?" I asked as she started her car and looked at me.

"It's Valentína Rose, but, you can call me Val for short." Her name is beautiful.

Yasuchika: There we go. Let me explain our current situation to you while we prepare to fight back.

Yuno: Uhh okay. I’m listening.

Yasuchika: — As I expected, you’re a strong woman who doesn't start bawling your eyes out in times like this.

Yuno: That’s… not exactly true.

Yuno: But what do you mean by “as you expected”...?

Yasuchika: — That was a slip of the tongue. Sorry for the confusion.

Yasuchika: I’ll proceed with the explanation.

Yasuchika: There’s this man named Doman, and he plans to destroy Kyoto. He was the one who corrupted Suzaku, its guardian deity.

Yasuchika: You were chosen to be the sacrificial lamb for the ritual to corrupt Suzaku.

Yuno: Now that I think of it, the shadow that attacked me earlier did say “give me Yuno’s blood”...

Yasuchika: That “shadow” was a puppet created by the magic tool to carry out the ritual.

Yuno: But the ritual was interrupted because you saved me, right?

Yasuchika: Yeah. However, the magic tool successfully summoned Suzaku.

Yasuchika: Suzaku is already corrupted because of the blood from the battlefield. You were the finishing touch to the ritual.

Yuno: What the—!?

— The last sentence was muffled because of the wind.

The air was still shaking because of the flames around us, and Suzaku repeatedly charged at our protective barrier to reach us.

Yuno: … If the ritual is completed, the lives of all the soldiers and civilians in Kyoto will be in danger.

Yasuchika: Don’t worry.

I turned to look at Yasuchika, who then hesitantly patted my head.

Yasuchika: Lord Akihito is explaining the situation to the Shogunate and Rebel Army, and asking for their cooperation.

Yasuchika: They will stop the war and evacuate all the civilians.

Yuno: Cooperation!? Will they really do that…

Yasuchika: That’ll depend on Lord Yoritomo and Lord Yoshitsune’s judgment of the situation.

Yuno: … I’m honestly surprised to know that an Onmyoji from the Imperial Court thinks like that.

I heard from everyone that Yasuchika was a heartless man.

Yasuchika: From this moment onwards, there are countless possible pathways that will lead to countless endings.

Yasuchika: I think that the ending of my precognitive dream was at the end of the “main path”.

Yasuchika: If I want to take a “side path” and reach a different ending…

Yasuchika: I have to block off all the pathways that can lead to the ending I saw in my dream.

Akihito: That means that every time you failed to avoid the bad endings, you left one of those bad pathways unblocked?

Ibuki: Even if your hypothesis is correct, you don't have the luxury of time to go around eliminating every single possibility.

Ibuki: Sure we have our private troops, but that’s still not enough manpower.

Yasuchika: … On this battlefield, there are many people of greater mobility.

Ibuki: You seriously think the Shogunate will do as we say without complaints?

Ibuki: And the Rebel Army isn’t going to be very happy about joining hands with the Shogunate.

Yasuchika: I’m aware it's not easy.

Ibuki challenged Yasuchika with questions to test him.

Ibuki: Let’s say you’re successful in persuading that two parties, have you taken into consideration that this will get in the way of Akihito's ambitions?

Yasuchika: …

Yasuchika: I’m very sorry, Lord Akihito.

Yasuchika bowed his head quietly.

Yasuchika: I’ve thought about this a few times after I had that precognitive dream.

Yasuchika: Why don’t we… make use of the catastrophe that will be caused by Suzaku, to defeat both the Shogunate and Rebel Army?

Akihito: Looks like being alive for 1200 years made you long-winded.

Suzaku lost its balance mid-air and flapped its wings in distress.

A black flame suddenly shot out from Suzaku’s blackened wing.

The black flame turned Yasuchika’s talismans into ashes.

Yasuchika: … One of its wings still has its spiritual powers, but the other has been corrupted.

Red and black flames swirled together and attacked Yasuchika—

🌳 - What’s their extended family like?

Envy has a ton of relatives on both sides. Every other year, a crop of Greenbergs (her father's family) descend on one location for a weeklong family reunion, with members flitting in and out during the week. While Envy might be the most alternative member of her family, she’s far from the only one; especially after her nieces and nephews collectively get into Dethklok. Things haven’t always been smooth sailing with them— some of her older relatives still think she’ll 'come around' about living as a woman, and some others don’t understand her ‘alternative lifestyle— but overall, she’s thankful for them.

Her maternal family (the Dorseys) all live in walking distance of each other in Brooklyn, where she grew up. Unless she’s too broke or busy, she travels there for most major holidays. There’s a lot of love there, and she wouldn’t be the person she is without them.

🎮 - What’s their favorite game?

Her buddy Az has a love affair with Tetris, but Envy doesn’t find a video game that captivates her the same way until the arcade release of Street Fighter II in 1991. The game’s a hit for a reason, and it’s complex cast of characters meant she could lose a lot of quarters trying to increase her skill. She’s a Blanka main with an equally nasty pocket Guile. In III, she pivots to Ibuki & Chun-Li, but she’s able to return to her favorites after that.

Outside of video games, she DMs both Dungeons ‘n’ Dragons and Dungeons ‘n’ Dominatrices. One of her favorite games to play in a dungeon is ‘Cane the Clairvoyant,’ where she mains the rattan cane and vinyl ball crop. Back to list

Akihito was walking pensively through the gardens of the empty house where he was temporarily staying.

Tamamo casually walks upto him.

Tamamo: "I just thought I would have a long talk with the man who stole my cute Yoshino from me."

Akihito: "I wanted to talk to you too."

Tamamo: "Oh."

Akihito: "Once there was this beautiful woman whom my father, Toba was devoted to. Her name was Tamamo-no-mae."

Tamamo: "...."

Akihito: "My father kept me away from him from the very beginning, saw I never saw her face...."

Akihito: "I was told one day that she disappeared from the palace into thin air."

Tamamo: "The more beautiful they are, the more mysterious they become, right?"

Tamamo nodded his head and blurted out.

Akihito: "That's true. But----"

Akihito: "Many years later, I met Yasuchika....and after some time, I made a deal with Ibuki."

Akihito: "I heard the name Tamamo-no-mae again."

Akihito: "It was the name of a nine-tail fox who disguised himself as a woman, that Yasuchika was ordered to defeat."

Tamamo: "----I see."

Tamamo no longer try to deny the gentle pursuit of Akihito.

Feeling satisfied, Tamamo's eyes softened.

Tamamo: "Don't forget that mine and Yoshino's deal haven't broken yet."

Akihito: "Looks like she will have to continue to exterminate demons to break the contract, huh?"

Akihito quickly replies.

His voice was filled with pain and many other emotions.

Yasuchika: "I....am I not reliable to help you at a crucial time?"

Akihito: "That's not it!"

Akihito: "You were my hope. The bright light I found in the darkness."

Akihito: "That's why I was scared.....that I'm making you unhappy."

Yasuchika: "Thank you for that. But I've never asked you to protect me."

Then she flew high up to the other bird.

The two little blue birds swirl in the sky to say goodbye....

Eventually they flapped away with the wind.

Yoshino: "Are you sad?"

Akihito: "Yeah. But it doesn't feel-----unpleasant or lonely."

Akihito: "Even though we're apart, I know she can take care of herself."

Akihito: "...I'm glad that her last memory of me wasn't of me getting rid off her."

Yoshino: "I see...."

Yoshino: "I know that Ruri is important to you and I bet she feels the same way. I'm glad we were able to send her off happily."

Akihito-sama suddenly hugs me.

His soft lips touches mine and I sighed sweetly.

Which may be why the pseudo-Bond of Ironfinger is part French. He calls himself Andrew Hoshino -- though it's not exactly clear that that's his name -- and is played a little more broadly than is necessary by Akira Takarada, a veteran not only of films by Yasujiro Ozu (The End of Summer, 1961) and Mikio Naruse (A Woman's Life, 1963) but also of numerous Godzilla movies, starting with Ishiro Honda's original Gojira in 1954. His leading lady, Mie Hama, made her own appearance in the real James Bond series in You Only Live Twice (Lewis Gilbert, 1967), playing Kissy Suzuki to Sean Connery's Bond. Ironfinger isn't unwatchable: There are some good gags, but also some bad ones. The climactic action sequence, in which the good guys foil the bad guys by tossing lighted matches into oil drums, which then explode into an impossible cascade of drums coming from every corner, is flat-out ridiculous. Still, if you can put up with some tacky pop songs and a needlessly complicated plot, Ironfinger is a tolerably amusing period artifact and only 93 minutes long.

(Voyager): "I see him. That child, that machine. You, traveler of the stars, embodiment of all human creation. You have done well. Go forth, spread the song of humanity throughout the heavens. Follow the path I have laid for you at the dawn of history."

(Muramasa): "Ohhh, what is this insulting presence?! An insolent fool who would dare to insult the collection of my treasury! I shall slice that blacksmith's arm from his body!"

(Kid Gil): "Mongrel, who is that child? For some reason his good-naturedness churns my stomach, but I will say he does have a fine taste in clothing. Hm...? Myself as a child...? How foolish!"

(Gorgon, Chiyome, Ibuki, or Kiyohime): "A foul and treacherous beast. Those creatures are nothing but a nuisance. Do not attempt to put me in the same formation as them, or I shall smite them down. And heed my word, it would be unwise to bathe with them."

(Darius or Semiramis): "After my death, my treasures were spread throughout the corners of the world. No, I am not angry my gates were pillaged. My collection is for the future of humanity. I shall allow those who came after to borrow them for the time being."

For Casgil:

(Merlin): "If it isn't the magus of flowers. I suppose I am indebted to you for your aid in the protection of Uruk. However! I shall not stand for the way you carry yourself about! To fool around when there is work to be done under the name of the king shall not be forgiven!"

(Queen of Sheba): "I have taken a mood for investing as of late. As the king, it is only fitting I spread my genius and wealth to the world. What...? Don't trust what that riddler woman tells you...? Be more careful with your funds...? Fool, as if the King of Heroes would be so easily deceived!"
