Kung Fu Panda Series Observation/Theories: Peach Tree symbolism🍑

Hi all! I feel like the majority of the fandom-pandom for kfp is losing their s$&ts from the trailer released for the fourth film; respectively, I also agree and am currently obsessing over ANY details from the clips released! (I know what the wiki page says about the Furious 5 only having a BRIEF MOMENT but please dreamworks, just bring those beautiful babes back and don’t forgot about them!👏)

Anyway, here’s some observation points I’m noticing and then drawing possible theories, just to help ease my brain from any hurt that may be to come from the movie released next year😭

*Basically, it’s all about the Peach Tree*

FYI: I will predominantly be referencing my notes from the FILMS and not the short films/separate series since I don’t know much about those films. The ONLY one I will be referencing is from “Secrets of the Scroll” since the Peach Tree is heavily symbolized (and I live for Tigress content🐯).

1st pic] Coming from the kfp4 trailer, this beautiful ass Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom is prospering for who knows how long this franchise (and turtle man’s death) occurred. Big thing to note is not only the tree itself, but the tiny tree located to the left of Po. I believe that’s the same tree from the first movie, where Shifu and Oogway would plant a new sapling during their conversation about angry boi and sh$&ting on how useless Po is to them🥲

*sidenote: from the trailer, there is a scene where Po is watching the blossoms move in the wind. This did remind me of Oogway’s passing from the first film so whether a ‘change/transition’ could occur is something to consider. Also, I don’t know if that scene takes place at the beginning, middle or end of the forth movie so hopefully more content will be released soon😊👏

2nd pic] The second picture below references this idea— furthermore, from the wiki page, Oogway replanted the peach sapling (the one where Master Master took his feelings out on the tree and a seed fell down), in order to represent how using effective teaching methods towards Po will not only help the panda learn Kung-Fu but also be able to defeat Tai Lung. Congrats then to Shifu for taking the turtle’s advice because now we are getting a fourth film (and all the separate shorts too).

Also from the 1st movie, when Oogway is meditating (before Shifu f$&n interrupts his yoga session) the Peach Tree is actively losing its petals, and then WE ARE TREATED TO THE BEAUTY AND HEARTACHE OF OOGWAY’S DEATH IN ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC CINEMATIC MASTERPIECES OF ALL TIME!!!🪦 So, tree loses petals= loss, death of something? Towards the end of kfp1, the tree starts getting its petals back= rebirth, growth, gain???

Ok, so our beautiful tiger girl is given some much needed spotlight in this short; followed by some emotional damage and teenage issues (like having to fight a boar, prove your worth to your adoptive red panda father, etc…) And, there is the one scene that basically mimics Oogway’s talk with Po (except its grandpa and granddaughter.)

Tigress, as a teenager just got s$&t on by Shifu for getting the wrong group of people to fight pig man (thus Furious Five was born.) She takes some therapeutic, albeit depressive-episode moment time by Peach Tree till Oogway joins her and gives some loving advice: screw dad and prove your worth to yourself👍👍

We then get treated to a beautiful, strong independent woman and her comrades for future films! My note from this pic is that the blossoms are not gone (unlike Oogway’s deathbed scene), so this could also symbolize growth, aspiration, understanding your self-worth (like Po’s from first movie- 4th pic)

Notes about Peach and Peach Blossom symbolism in China🍑

. Also from same article, the peach has been associated with immortality and longevity (could explain why Oogway’s lived for such a long ass time too, apart from the fact he’s also a turtle.)

. Good fortune is another symbol for the peach (considering the luck Po has got, maybe those peaches were watching after him!)

Peach blossom trees also represent longevity: they bloom in March and represents spring.

And, DA DA DA….. peach blossoms also symbolizes love!❤️ From the article, since the trees bloom in March, that’s a prime time for weddings to occur (hm, wonder what that could mean .. cough cough 🐼🐯)!!!! Could also be just general love for friends, family too.

Anyway these were just some notes and observations I saw from the trailer. Truthfully, Dreamworks may be watching the fandom from afar or completely ignoring us but I do hope that the forth film won’t destroy all the beauty and intelligence that the franchise had carried before (especially with the first two films.)

5. I got into Skyrim late to the game, but my first character started as a Jean Valjean-inspired petty thief in the pursuit bread and cheese. Nothing looked quite as appetizing as those little sweetrolls. One of the many delightful discoveries I came across going in blind to an iconic game.

4. Red, plump, slightly bioluminescent - super versatile as either a food source or bioreactor fuel, but most of all a gorgeous addition to any base. Returning to base and taking a bite of a fresh lantern fruit was more just for roleplay than anything lol, but man do I want to have a taste in real life.

3. Figuring out recipes was one of my favorite parts of the unlimited exploration in the open-world Breath of the Wild, and nothing seemed tastier than the Creamy Heart Soup. I can just imagine how revitalizing it would be to slurp it down mid-battle. Something about video games making imaginary fruits just looks so tantalizing, and I'm always a slut for a good soup.

2. The craftable food update in New Horizons is what kept me around for nearly a 1,000-hour island. Something about how they would steam after you cooked and placed them just looked so good. The cute aesthetics of the food items could warrant its own top-10 list for me, and the Peach Pie was as good as it got. I got the Switch game in 2022 well after the pandemic peak. Neither me nor my friends had peaches on their islands, and I was not about to pay to trade with someone - I never actually attained this beauty. My island had lined fields of crops and a farmers market with baked breads and jarred goods, she would have been my star centerpiece.

1. This is mainly an experience-based choice for me, but I imagine the taste would be phenomenal as well. 10-year-old me was unaware of changing DS settings to play different dates, so the once-per-day cup of coffee was a cherished moment. At the time I did not even know what coffee tasted like lol. The thought of drinking a scalding hot beverage scared me but I did not want to disappoint Brewster by letting it cool past its peak flavor. And Saturday nights when KK Slider was there?? Highlight of my week. Honestly that whole atmosphere of having a tasty little drink and watching a local live performance is exactly the vibe a look for as 28-year-old still. I wish I could go back and see how many hours I put into Wild World, I literally COMPLETED that game before I had access to the internet to look up how to find things - it was my cozy place.

I'm new to Pretty Cure, so in an attempt to learn more about the lore, I watched a bunch of "favorite transformation" compilation videos and made note of ones that really left an impression on me.

These are in no particular order

Cure Gelato

She's got, like, cat ears! And a guitar! And there's ice cream! What's not to love?

Cure Beauty

There's a nice 90s vibe in the movements here that I like. Plus the transformation compact thing reminds me of Doremi

Cure Princess

She does finger guns and then blows away the smoke and winks. That's SO CUTE!!

Cure Mermaid

So elegant and I like how when she touches down, there's a water drop effect just like when Sailor Mercury does Shine Aqua Mirage

This one reminds me of Wedding Peach but also of the movements in Sailor Venus' transformation!

So fun. So iconic. Cure Sky said trans rights.

Cure Prism

Another iconic one. I know some folks have complained that this one doesn't seem to be as dynamic as Sky, but it actually fits Mashiro better I think. Of course Sora is hopping and jumping all over the joint - she's very active and athletic! But Mashiro isn't as athletic, and that's OK. She does her own thing and it is wonderful. Cure Prism also said trans rights.

Another thing I like about these sequences is they always show what happens to the transformation item. It's usually put in a pouch at the waist, but the fact that they thought about that is a nice touch. (Except for Soaring Sky, actually! They're just holding the items in the final pose.)

A lot of them also employ some kind of recognition - whether it's facial or voice, the items recognize who is using them and gets to work. Maybe that prevents unauthorized use of the item!

Next up I might check out compilations of favorite opening and ending themes.

A seductive strategy was employed to market salad dressings to women in the Let's Get Zesty campaign, which promotes Kraft Italian dressings.

The advertising campaign borrows heavily from the iconic Old Spice commercial. Similar to the Old Spice guy, the dashing man in the Kraft advertisement is designed to represent the ideal, desirable man. He exudes excellence in everything he does, like cutting a pepper exactly in one nanosecond. With subtle sexual innuendos scattered throughout the advertisement, this piques the desire of both women and men viewing.

Analysis 1.0

In our regular lifestyle, wearing perfume is essential and is a portion of our dress code. It elevates our mood. The fragrance you select also reveals something about your identity and personality.

In keeping with Beyonce's request, Fragrance Heat was created in an old-fashioned glass flacon. She gave it a red hue with orange undertones that resemble burning flames. The overpowering red color scheme of the image communicates traits of an aggressive and fearless mentality. The aromas in this group of perfumes include warm, fruity, spicy, and rich notes. Wearers of these fragrances in perfumes are therefore more likely to have an aroused, refreshed, and powerful feeling. Anyone who uses perfume runs the risk of being drawn to them solely by smell. Like the sexy woman, the flacon is fiery and seductive, and it has a subtle gold design on the neck with the fragrance's name etched on it. Furthermore, The word "HEAT. Catch the fever." implies that the entire scene was sizzling and steamy, inducing the man to become overwhelmed with his sexual desires for the woman as suggested by her aroma in the advertisement.

Analysis 1.1

The image of the handsome mature half-naked man at the top of the table, pouring the Zesty seductively towards the vegetable salad showed how this man oozes dominance with his facial expression as he entices the audience through his attractiveness. His slightly open leg highlights their masculinity as he emits confidence. There are also candles that are lit in the advertisement's background, suggesting a romantic meal. The subdued lighting is used to draw the attention of the auidence to serious subject matter or the important part of the visual text. Moreover, In order to increase sexual attractiveness and suggest possible sexual intentions that may pique the curiosity of the female clients, the text "The only thing better than dressing is undressing" is stressed as an attention-getter. The significance of the sauce is to inform the potential customers with the new product created as it introduces the brand or provides an outline of specific product. It makes an effort to increase demand for a given good. This includes raising consumer interest in the product and helping them become aware that it exists. Moreover, the food is juxtaposed with the body in the table in a way that the effect of placing them side by side gives a surprising impact as it highlights their differences towards the viewers. It is done for the purpose of creating contrast between the two things.
