John Constantine is not a nice person. He is not a good person. But I’m so damn entertained by the way he does good deeds.
Like “Yeah I’ll pay for these starving kids to have some candy but if you say it was me then I’ll punt you into the sun.” “I saved your life because it’s a big “fuck you” to the ones who put it in danger, not because I like you.” “There’s a kitten in my pocket in case I need something to throw at a demon, not because it was a stray that wouldn’t leave me alone.“
God I think if you called him kind he’d spontaneously combust and make sure he took you with him

Wait thinking about how Megatron in the sharkitron au would likely have twins most of the time he's carrying, but also the shark nursery idea, i instantly imagined him at the nursery lagoon towing behind him just a bunch of different sharkformer pups of all shapes and sizes, as per my suggested "baby pooling" idea. Hell, if I'm gonna get funky here I'm suggesting that often times saud pups spend multiple years at the nursery, so he very well could meet pups from the previous years there!
What I'm imagining here is a gravid sharkformer enters the lagoon, has their offspring, sticks around for a little bit helping with the various pups before they head back out to their various adult territories, and well are replaced in the lagoon via the same process! If I'm making any sense? I'm imagining since all the merformers likely live much longer than humans, these nursery lagoons would be far far far less populated than irl shark nurseries, with only a few dozen pups being there at a time. I can also see younglings who were old enough to leave the lagoon being out in the waters meeting their caretakers and it being a super duper friendly encounter.

People ask me sometimes how I'm so confident that we can beat climate change.
There are a lot of reasons, but here's a major one: it would take a really, really long time for Earth to genuinely become uninhabitable for humans.
Humans have, throughout history, carved out a living for themselves in some of the most harsh, uninhabitable corners of the world. The Arctic Circle. The Sahara. The peaks of the Himalayas. The densest, most tropical regions of the Amazon Rainforest. The Australian Outback. etc. etc.
Frankly, if there had been a land bridge to Antarctica, I'm pretty sure we would have been living there for thousands of years, too. And in fact, there are humans living in Antarctica now, albeit not permanently.
And now, we're not even facing down apocalypse, anymore. Here's a 2022 quote from the author of The Uninhabitable Earth, David Wallace-Wells, a leader on climate change and the furthest thing from a climate optimist:
"The most terrifying predictions [have been] made improbable by decarbonization and the most hopeful ones practically foreclosed by tragic delay. The window of possible climate futures is narrowing, and as a result, we are getting a clearer sense of what’s to come: a new world, full of disruption but also billions of people, well past climate normal and yet mercifully short of true climate apocalypse. Over the last several months, I’ve had dozens of conversations — with climate scientists and economists and policymakers, advocates and activists and novelists and philosophers — about that new world and the ways we might conceptualize it. Perhaps the most capacious and galvanizing account is one I heard from Kate Marvel of NASA, a lead chapter author on the fifth National Climate Assessment: “The world will be what we make it.”" -David Wallace-Wells for the New York Times, October 26, 2022
If we can adapt to some of the harshest climates on the planet - if we could adapt to them thousands of years ago, without any hint of modern technology - then I have every faith that we can adjust to the world that is coming.
What matters now is how fast we can change, because there is a wide, wide gap between "climate apocalypse" and "no harm done." We've already passed no harm done; the climate disasters are here, and they've been here. People have died from climate disasters already, especially in the Global South, and that will keep happening.
But as long as we stay alive - as long as we keep each other alive - we will have centuries to fix the effects of climate change, as much as we possibly can.
And looking at how far we've come in the past two decades alone - in the past five years alone - I genuinely think it is inevitable that we will overcome climate change.
So, we're going to survive climate change, as a species.
What matters now is making sure that every possible individual human survives climate change as well.
What matters now is cutting emissions and reinventing the world as quickly as we possibly can.
What matters now is saving every life and livelihood and way of life that we possibly can.

There's an aspect of Original!Elias Bouchard that makes me so sad to think about in a weird kind of "meta" way.
And that's the fact that he has to be labelled as the "OG" not as Elias.
Technically speaking Elias has been dead for years. It's Jonah that's taken over - literally having his eyes removed and replacing them with his own and living as him (he even seemingly keeps his "old fashioned haircut" on Elias' hair).
And yet we as the audience don't often call that form of Jonah "JONAH". Instead it's Elias, cause he's been Elias for 4 series at this point.
"Elias started the apocalypse", "Elias beat that old man to death with a metal pipe" when it was never really Elias in the first place.
He's been so robbed of his own identity that not even death can spare him; all of Jonah's actions in his body are recognised as him.
(Btw this isn't me saying you can't call Jonah!Elias straight up Elias, I do that regularly ofc. I'm just being emo rn lol)

been thinking a lot abt fwb!gojo today.... this is his first time ever doing this kind of a thing btw. i do not think he sleeps around AT ALL. but with you, he just... you start off as very good friends but then it keeps escalating – you start sitting closer and closer, your thighs always touching as you lounge on the couch. his hands seem to always find your waist in public, your seem to be in his hair more and more. and the thing is... satoru isn't all that good at deciphering his own feelings. he isn't entirely sure what this is; the butterflies in his stomach whenever you laugh at his jokes, the warmth that spreads under his skin whenever he sees you bend over. it's weird. he doesn't know what to do.
so, when one night you inch closer with your hand on his thigh, he lets you. he welcomes you with open arms. you ask whether it's okay or not and he lets out a shaky yes, his cheeks burning with something new, his eyes low and heavy as he stares at your lips. you feel so good on top of him, your body flushes to his and he thinks about how perfect this is. how much he likes it. the night is like a wet dream for him, something he's always dreamed off but when you leave the bed and hop into the shower without giving him a kiss, he doesn't even know what the weight on his heart means. where it comes from. he doesn't ponder over it for too long though as you step outside the bathroom in a shirt way too big, his shirt. he watches you get dressed and hums when you joke about his bed hair. he thinks you look gorgeous. he doesn't ask for you to stay – if this is what you want, to leave without the desire to continue your adventures from the last night, then so be it. satoru wants you to be happy. you tell him it was good and that you'd like to, perhaps, do it again and he can taste you on his tongue when he says that he feels the same. satoru will take every crumb you'll give him with a smile on his face. he won't complain and he won't ask for more, not yet at least. for now, he'll be completely and utterly at your mercy, a lapdog for you to play with whenever you so desire to do. a selfless kind of love.

Asexual Joel. Not in the sense that he doesn't experience sexual attraction, but in the sense that he reproduced via mitosis. That's why there's so many of him in all this intros

I think what a lot of j&h adaptations get wrong, is that ultimately, Jekyll is, at heart. A Cunt. Lots of adaptations like to write him as an innocent scientist, who got more than he bargained for when he drank the potion, and unleashed a monster, but in the novella, the only thing the potion really does, is change Jekyll's appearance. He created Hyde, and I think he had the opportunity to make Hyde into something good, but, because he's a cunt, he chose to use his alter ego as a force for evil and chaos. "Edward Hyde was alone in the ranks of evil"- of course he was, you never allowed him to be anything else. And Jekyll is fully aware of what he does as Hyde, he says it himself in his full statement, and he feels no remorse. He didn't create Hyde accidentally, he made Hyde because he wanted to do bad things and get away with it, without damaging his reputation.
Fuck Dr Jekyll, all my homies hate Dr Jekyll.

keep seeing shit about the new ts album & mental illness and i am so so tired. please be nice to actually "crazy" people if ur gonna use us for the aesthetic. i'm not schizophrenic cause it's cute. don't joke about asylums if u haven't had those experiences (and even some of y'all who have been treat it like a vacation & to the rest of us it's prison. i mean literally. prison. incarceration. that's not new shit. and yeah, i'm that "actually crazy" person screaming in the ward. ur not any better than me.)
idk i keep posting and deleting about this cause i can't get my thoughts out properly i just. i'm tired. there was already a worsening problem of "socially acceptable" mental illness pushing out the rest of us (as it's always been) and now there's the top artist in the united states calling herself crazy, saying you should be scared of her, she was raised in an asylum, etc. and it's like.... that's my lived experience. medical doctors refuse to treat me because they're scared of my psychiatric disorders. i've had the cops called on me for episodes. i spent a decade rotting in the mental health system & institutions and i only got out after years of planning how to get away. and so much more i cant even put into words.
and now not only are y'all using folk like me & our experiences for the aesthetic. you're not even a decent human being to those of us who have actually lived through this shit. idk man. really rubs me the wrong way.

i don't think this necessarily counts as redemption. but i think it's interesting how conversations about how equius "could've been redeemed" leave out the sacrifice he (and hal) made as a sprite. arquius didn't just sacrifice his life for the lives of jane roxy dirk and jake, he sacrificed his person. in the sense that he gives up being himself in order to be trapped with caliborn (and gamzee was there too i guess), turning him into the literal ultimate villain of homestuck. he's not dead, he's someone else now. i'm not wording this well i hope this makes sense. it's like arquius sacrificed any potential for redemption in the process of becoming this fusion in order to save the others. and also i feel a lot of hal's character is him fighting to be recognized as his own person and not be demonized or vilified bc at the end of the day he is not a villain. and as arquius he gives that up to save his friends

The Force does not actually make the future, it does not build it, it does not write it, it just predicts it.
The Force looks at the actions of the living beings that live in the Galaxy, and predicts what some of those choices are going to lead to in the end.
Even considering Seers, the Force probably didn't just decide "Hey! You're going to see everything I do!" it's just good (or bad) luck that a poor soul was born more in contact with the Force than others, and so could see all the predictions the Force made better than others!!
This is why a vision is never going to be true 100% of the time, because it is a future not wirtten in stone, it can be changed, sometimes the change is accidental or sometimes it's desired, but again, it happens because of the actions of the individuals! Sometimes it does not even change! Because the Force predicted that someone would know of that future, and would do exactly the actions that were going to lead to that end, and there was nothing they could do!
The Force is not some some entity who decides what to do on its own, it's a field that binds the galaxy together, everything it does is not part of any plan, it just makes it happen based on the actions of the individuals of the galaxy.
A person is not just a pawn in the grand scheme of things, it is their choices that are going to determine their future, not a pre-existing future.
What I'm trying to say is, I hate the idea of the Force being an actual entity (or worse, similiar to the Christian God) but it's just something doing its job by keeping all the galaxy alive.

No because clearly, clearly! Something is brewing within the baseline Decepticons, as they're in for some serious reevaluation of their own methods.

I tried but not very hard to see what the anniversary date was, and i decided to just prepare myself for the 16th or the 18th... it was the former. so, as always, but this time truly by accident... happy belated 17th birthday Black Butler!! I truly hope this year is amazing for us.
this year, I decided to use an idea I had wanted to try for a while but I never thought I would be able to pull off. and I still probably couldn't in the best way.... but regardless, here is a made up last chapter scenario.
you can also see this comic on webtoon here. whatever your fancy, if you please :>
