A year being a Kaylor supporter……being a gay woman I just see the world differently and I have to say viewing Karlie and Taylor interact with each other on every possible scale that is available to us…..it is much much more. Seeing how authentic, kind, caring, sweet, and nurturing Karlie is…..I just cannot believe she would ever intentionally hurt Taylor. So, my ask is why do people believe she tipped Scooter off about the masters…..I’ve seen theories and thoughts but never any hard proof and I just can’t say that I believe that line of thinking from other people. Also, has anyone ever come across Josh and Karlie’s marriage license? Marriage licenses are public record, so therefore the public should be able to view the document…..has anyone actually ever come across this?
I believe Swifties go to on Karlie’s “betrayal” was Ashley A liking a post on socials that was discussing Karlie as responsible—which IMO Ashley’s main job is as Taylor’s social media lackey so that tracks she would’ve been told to like certain posts to further the feud narrative—others chime in if you have other examples
As far as the marriage certificate—TTB at one point back in the day had found some kind of public govt document online that showed Josh was already married *prior* to the fake wedding with Karlie

So, about Ticketmaster...
I bought my very first concert ticket from them back in 1992, when you had to call or go to a physical location. My parents weren’t willing to go camp out at the TM booth at Tower Records, so I called over and over and over, hanging up as soon as I got the first tone of the busy signal. It was SO hard to get through, and when you did get through you bought whatever they had. You couldn’t really choose your section. You just got what you got.
Buying concert tickets from TM has been a nightmare for the last thirty years. When I followed U2 around on their tour in 1997, it meant dealing with Ticketmaster’s bullshit on a regular basis. It never got any easier. Eventually we learned that going to the venue box office was smarter and cheaper than trying to deal with TM, but that’s not always possible for everyone so TM still held us hostage. TM was fucking Skynet.
(U2 did have a cool method of getting good tickets to fans through their fanzine. They mailed you a form before every tour that you filled out with your shows based on priority and preferred section, sent it back, and in a few weeks you got your tickets. Voila, done. Face value, no fees, just tickets.)
Ticketmaster is a corrupt criminal empire that has been gatekeeping entertainment and the arts for way too long. This investigation is extremely overdue and I hope to god something actually comes of it, because as we saw with Hamilton, with Bono’s recent book tour, and now with Taylor, Ticketmaster has turned the arts into yet another playground for the rich. Just like fucking Disneyland.
I hope this fiasco inspires more artists to speak up and do something, because if they don’t then they’re complacent in the exploitation of their fans and it would be hard to continue supporting someone who doesn’t care if they have legitimate fans at their shows, or rich, beautiful people from social media who just want to be seen and “do it for the content.” One would hope it’s the former, but everyone’s about the exposure now so who even fucking knows, anymore.
Bottom line, this is on artists as much as it is on Ticketmaster. They have the platform and clout to speak up about this and find better solutions.
Anyway, death to Ticketmaster! And thanks to everyone who chimed in to get the Department of Justice’s attention—hell hath no fury like a Swiftie scorned. Dang.

i listened to deuxmoi's taylor podcast and it was fine. as a swiftie, there wasn't any new or insightful information. they didn't touch on gaylor, other than one of the guests saying something along the lines of "whatever they were" during the portion about karlie kloss bc the rabbit holes you could jump into online and speculation about their relationship history came up. the female guest did laugh when karlie's name was first said tho, so i think she has some thoughts that she might've been keeping to herself. they did have a couple of easter eggs/theories wrong, but that's ok bc it was just, like, a conversation. it would appear, however, that the two guests and deuxmoi all think taylor is engaged, if not already married, to joe. so like i said... nothing new or insightful lmao
thanks for chiming in!

Jan 21st, Thursday 18:14
„Hey.“ Lucas’s voice chimed from the entrance, as the front door fell shut. „I still have the key, so I hope it was fine? I’m not a robber, I swear!“
If Jens would have felt his usual self, instead of the disconnect to his body and voice, he would have answered in jest. Something along the lines of that being exactly what a robber would say. Instead he swallowed down a couple of sobs in vain, as more surfaced from the waves.
He put the knife down on the wooden board, staring at the vegetables about to be cut.
His shoulders were trembling. Betraying any attempt to appear alright.
„Why are you crying? What happened?“ And there he was, his boyfriend, immediately knowing that something was up. Especially when Jens stood turned with his back towards the younger boy.
„Oh, hi. Nothing.“ Jens told him, while he quickly brushed of tears from his cheeks and chin. He didn’t lie. „It’s dumb.“
„It’s not dumb, if it made you cry.“
The voice behind him spoke with worry and fear, that Jens couldn’t ignore him longer. He turned around to notice Lucas looking straight at him. It really wasn’t bad. Nothing major had happened that would warrent his crestfallen state. He simply had gotten caught up in the emotion.
„No, it actually is. I just finished listening to Taylor Swifts latest album. Like five minutes ago.“ Jens explained with a faint smirk, that didn’t raised high enough to help him over the faintest tears gathering back in the corner of his eyes. Fuck feelings, he thought. This was ridiculous. He was ridiculous.
„Okay, maybe you were right there a little.“ Lucas huffed a laugh, his face smoothing out into relief. Right before his eyes gleamed in jest. „You were actually crying to Taylor Swift?“
„Fuck off, dude.“
„No! You are adorable.“ Lucas cooed, „Come into my arms, I’ll comfort you.“
„I hate you so much.“ He tried to push the younger boy off of him, who rushed to tightly cling to his middle instead. There was such force in the way Lucas had thrown himself into Jens’s body, that it almost had swept both of them off of their feet.
Lucas cracked a loud giggle first, before Jens himself began to laugh too.
He wasn’t able to tell who started it, but as they swayed from one foot to the other it calmed them both into a comfortable state of ease. Jens hold the younger boy tightly, grateful to have him back, after he had thought to have lost him.
„I don’t even know why. But the last song. That did it. I was reminded of the last couple month, of my mom and you and I don’t know. It just fitted so well, you know? I couldn’t help it.“
Jens kissed the mop of brown curled hair, burying his face in it to hide away from the world for a moment until he could regain his composure.
„See, that’s not dumb.“ Lucas replied, while his fingers knead the older boy’s back gently.
„Well you’ve listened to it probably on loop and know exactly what I’m talking about. You’re definitely a big Swiftie, right?“
„Glad you still find some time to be an asshole while crying in my arms.“ Lucas said with a dramatic sigh, as he untangled himself from the older boy to get away. Jens realised it too late. His fingers scraped only the sweater that Lucas wore.
„No wait! Come back. We can stan together. Also Bon Iver.“ He proclaimed loudly, while Lucas laughed and left him behin d by the kitchen counter. „Rude.“
„I’m going to get my phone and then we can listen to some of your rap stuff while cooking. Or something.“ The younger boy’s voice echoed from the entrance hall for the moment to find his jacket and the right pocket. „Where is Lotte?“
„Eh upstairs. Hopefully doing her Dutch homework, but very probably playing on her Switch. Runs in the family, I guess.“ Jens said and shrugged his shoulders. He still felt incredibly uncomfortable being strict with his little sister. He didn’t wanted her to hate him, but he knew that he couldn’t let her get away with everything. Why was this so complicated?
It left him absolutely awed by the consideration that his mom had managed that with three children.
„I see.“ Lucas replied, half in thoughts as he unlocked his phone. There was a brief sound from the bluetooth as it got connected to Lucas’s device instead.
For a moment Jens just stood and watched. Exactly a week had passed without the younger boy occupying the space that he had somehow claimed in this house. All of it within only a couple of month.
Lucas’s gaze was stuck to his phone in hand. He blindly walked through the room, familiar with it’s interior. Oblivious to the fact how perfectly he fitted in his surroundings. A missing piece, that finally returned. And he didn’t even seemed to notice. But Jens did.
And though it was a scary thought, it also brought some form of peace to his mind.
That was until the first note had hit and Lucas immediately looked up at him with a shit-eating grin, as he joined in to sing the first couple of lines. Jens knew he had listened to this more times, than he would like to admit.
„I'm a working, bitch
Ain't got no time for dick
You wish you could sway my attention“
Jens snorted loud and overjoyed, while he shook his head. No matter how heavy his heart had felt and how much he had tried to catch his breath again, now that Lucas had arrived, suddenly it hadn’t weighed as much any more.
The younger boy went to get himself a knife and a cutting board, before he stole the peeled carrots from Jens’s forgotten preparations on the counter. Jens didn’t even had to ask, when Lucas already began to help get their dinner ready.
He shifted a little over towards his boyfriend, til their elbows would brush every so often, as they sang along and laughed. And perhaps even found themselves dancing at one point, when they had nothing else to do but wait for the water on the stove to boil.

The Royal Report– A Crown of Candy Ep 16 For Candia (Part 1)
The Second Most Stressful Conversation All Season
The Rocks family sails up to Cola River, concealed in Primsy’s ships with a small contingent of soldiers. As they go, they pick up another set of allies--the remaining knights from Theo’s order.
Ruby gets called to speak with her mom and dad and Cara asks her to close the door behind her. When she speaks, it’s with more candor than she’s ever used with Ruby that we’ve seen. She says that all she’s ever wanted for Ruby was her safety and she tried to secure that by protecting her from secrets but now she is truly a woman grown and the best way to protect her is by sharing secrets, an approach Ruby seems to appreciate.
Cara fills her in on what she and Amethar learned last episode--Ghee died before she married Amethar. That means she’s still queen, he’s still king, and though Rina is still Amethar’s first born heir, Ruby is also trueborn.
Ruby asks if they’re going to tell people and Amethar says he wants to wait. Things are heightened right now and it would make things weird in battle. Ruby says that if that’s what he wants, she won’t tell anyone. Ruby also says she doesn’t trust Rina’s people, something Amethar cites as another reason he doesn’t want to tell people yet.
Cara asks Ruby’s opinion on Rina and she says that she thinks she’s dangerous. Cara agrees and Amethar thinks she’s being a little harsh in her assessment but Ruby goes on. She thinks that Rina has tunnel vision in her hatred of the church and there are good people who follow the Bulb (again, Cara is a devout Bulbian). Cara chimes in that Port Syrup is in ruins because of her people. Amethar wants to delay all this talk but Cara drops an absolute banger of a line, “Amethar. The delay of conversation has been perhaps your most cardinal sin.”
Ruby thinks that maybe Rina can be good but her people are full stop, bad. She didn’t order Port Syrup sacked (good) but it was by her people in her name (bad) and she doesn’t seem super bothered by the collateral damage (also bad). However, she does think that maybe if she wasn’t surrounded by these people, she'd make different choices.
Cara says that with Rina on the throne, Candia’s future is written in flame. She says that Theo was pretty quick to join up with Rina and asks Amethar what he thinks he’ll do with the new info about his kingship. Amethar thinks he’ll be loyal so she thinks maybe they can tell him but Ruby points out that he’s not good with secrets. Cara says that’s a wise observation. She also says, in not so many words, that this is going to be a dangerous battle and during dangerous battles, sometimes people--like your husband’s pesky half daughter who is bumping your own daughter in the line of succession and has a merry band of war criminals--die.
“Hey, you’re talking about my daughter,” says Amethar.
“I am talking about the future of Candia,” says Cara.
She tells Ruby that if she doesn’t think it’s a good idea to talk to Theo, that’s fine, but she should listen to her heart. She has the sight for the future to come and “If fortune cannot be on our side, we will have to do what fortune cannot.”
The Most Stressful Conversation All Season
The ship continues to sail upriver. Brennan makes a little roll that he doesn’t announce but seems entirely too pleased about.
There’s a lot of debate about arriving and attacking and they decide to get to Dulcington late so they have cover but can attack when it starts to get light and have some visability for archers and such.
It’s the middle of the night as they approach their destination and Rina hears a knock at her door. It’s Swifty and, wouldn’t you know it, he just eavesdropped on a *reaaaaaal* interesting conversation by the royal family (we get a quick cut to Brennan’s mystery-roll). But before he can spill the tea, she stops to tell him (and Gooey who is also there doing the bodyguard thing) that she was *not* about the carnage of Port Syrup. They NEED to be better than that. These people may never accept her but she doesn’t want them to *hate* her. Swifty is like, “lol, about that.” She tells her what he heard--or at least *some* of what he heard. He tell her about the death/wedding timeline and about the fact that they’ve been sitting on the news for a day (leaving out the bits where Amethar defended her and Ruby thought she might be good) and implies that they’re waiting for her to die in battle (something Cara implied in fairness) or kill her themselves (a little more of a leap--but not by much). Rina, not quite seething but something akin to it, says that if they had just told her this information, she would have worked with them seeing as the crown was only ever a means to an end for her but they had to be dishonest with her. Swifty says he’s excited to waste all their enemies during the upcoming battle and, once it’s over, if she wants them to turn their slaughter efforts a little closer to home, she just has to say the word. In response, she says she wants to speak to Theo so she can seek his counsel. She also reiterates that the Port Syrup debacle was a full war crime and shouldn’t have happened regardless of her relationship with the Rocks family (Swifty and Gooey exchange a glance she doesn’t fully parse) and then Gooey gets Theo.
After some weird flirting with Gooey (he makes an appointment to get “slammed big style” [sic] by her), Theo shows up to talk to Rina. She says that she’s been helping the Rocks family a ton in battle but she’s only been rebuffed. Is it worth it? Should she keep helping them? Theo says that he’s known the family for a long time and they’re good people who wouldn’t hurt her. Rina says that Theo is an honorable man and she trusts that even if he doesn’t side with her, he’ll do the honorable thing. Then she tells her what she knows, info that he is, of course, hearing for the first time. On an 18 Insight check, he knows he’s not being lied to and he knows he has a choice to make. He remembers Lazuli, all those years on their first meeting, telling him to think for himself and he amends his earlier statement. He might have spoken too soon about Amethar. He’s reckless, he wishes he could have worked for any of his sisters rather than him, and he clearly doesn’t have love for all of his family based on the way he’s treating her. He’s officially Team Rina (like he kinda was before but even moreso). She makes it official by casting the Dedication version of Ceremony on him and he feels more connected to her than ever before (also +1d4 to all Saving Throws for 24 hours).
War is Hell (to Recap)
The group gets into position with a bunch of stealth checks to get ready for their dawn attack. Despite pledging himself to Rina, Theo doesn’t want to work against Amethar and he wants to tell Cumulus. Rina agrees since she doesn’t fully trust her people and she thinks it’s good to bring another trustworthy person in on this.
Right before fighting breaks out, Theo gives the CliffsNotes version to Cumulus (ie: there is some weirdness in the line of succession and the family is plotting without us) and also messages Liam that Rina is potentially in danger, getting back the message that he’ll for sure help protect her. Ruby rolls Insight to see if she can tell Theo’s being weird but with a Nat 20 deception check from him, she’s sure that Theo is loyal to them above all else and would never betray them.
OK guys, here’s the deal. Almost everything else in this episode is truly just chess. Moving units across the board. Taking out troops strategically. Placing minis. Stuff like that. Not at all interesting to recap or read. So all you really need to know is, “The Rocks family and their numerous allies (cheese sailors manning catapults, monks, Candian fighters) get into position and the fight begins at dawn, with them doing pretty well once it starts.” Pretty much everyone gets to do at least one clutch thing and you can check out the episode if you want more detail than that.
The only really important thing to know is that Kerradin is there, Grissini is there, and Plumbeline is there. In fact, not only is she there, she comes down from the castle walls so she can ride in on her meep chariot and knock Theo prone.
Unfortunately for her, she hasn’t gotten the news about Peppermint Batman. Three attacks+flanking+sneak attack+favored enemy damage+bursting arrow+hail of arrows=58 damage to Plumbeline immediately.
As she stands over Theo, two crossbow bolts explode through her eyes and she drops down dead.
And that’s it for this episode! Join us next week for the actual finale of a Crown of Candy!
1 Million Years Dungeon
SWIFTY!
Man, Swifty really is the personification of Brennan’s craving for some sweet, sweet PvP action huh?
You homicidal little chaos gremlin, it is BAFFLING that you have the queen’s ear and I hate it.
Things I’m Concerned About
Emily had Rina use the word “fools” and I know that she grew up on the same Disney movies that we did where fools is an antagonist exclusive word. Hate the implications of that!
Do you remember what I said about Cara in her literal first appearance? I generally like her but I’m getting some light Lady Macbeth vibes. Well here we are. It was so weird to see her and Ruby getting along but I really loved the scene. So tense and so careful with every word. (Also, I *knew* that info was going to get to Rina as the conversation was happening and I was bracing for it but it was still like, damn).
We still haven’t gotten to, “Family is exposed, family is vulnerable.”
That look Gooey and Swifty shared? Don’t love that.
So, as I’ve been concerned about for a while now, we’re gearing up for some PvP. It still doesn’t have to happen but things are getting dicey and lines are being drawn. Theo has made his allegiances known and Cumulus from way back when said he stands with the magic of Candia, not the Rocks family--plus he just pledged his whole order to her. Ruby and Amethar obviously are on the same side if this happens (though you know no one wants to avoid PvP more than him) and I think Liam would be more inclined to stay with the family if it comes to it, though he also doesn’t seem like he’d be down for this.
Continuing on from my last point, if there’s a big PvP fight potentially on the horizon and the other side has a DRAGON and also ALL THE HEALS...mmm, I wouldn’t love that. Oh also, I didn’t mention it in the recap but Rina said she wasn’t gonna waste her spells on Ruby/Amethar anymore which is a SCARY THING for your HEALER to say before the FINAL BATTLE.
Edit: I forgot to mention (s/o to @fjordgofurther for the sideways reminder)! Because of the way it’s been framed (“we will have to do what fortune cannot”) and because of the poetry of it and, practically speaking, because they’re the two main casters, if it gets to PvP I can see it ending up being Rina and Ruby, head to head and...do not care for that image one bit lemme tell you.
Five More Things
I am VERY happy that Rina told off her crew about their casual war crimes because it would have dropped by opinion of her HUGELY if she was just chill about it.
I don’t want to downplay the amount of work that went into the battle stuff in this ep. There were a lot of cool large scale battle mechanics and home rules for fighting with troops and letting them use your abilities and stuff. But it’s very hard for me to recount that without sounding like a history textbook chapter on the Civil War or something and I’m not Ken Burns.
Place your bets. Blessed Ally Nat 20 on the wish-egg-seed or on icing Kerradin?
Very wild that they destroyed the afterlife RIGHT before this fight. Like, before they knew that if they died, they could at least still talk to their loved ones to some degree. But now that’s gone. Perma-death is suddenly extra-perma. I wonder if that was a conscious choice on Brennan’s part.
Did I ever get to say, “newly *mint*-ed” with regard to Liam’s Peppermint Batman status? I don’t remember and it would be a shame if I hadn’t.
I have more thoughts but this episode ends so clearly midway through the action that I feel it’s best to leave them for the actual finale.
One More Thing!
As I’ve mentioned on here before, I’m working on an audiodrama podcast which should be dropping later this year! Absolutely No Adventures, a podcast about avoiding dangerous quests, making weird friends, and baking. It’s also a podcast about baking.
The Twitter handle is @noadventurespod and we just got our art!
I’m very excited to start releasing stuff for it and I hope some of y’all check it out!

Cinderella AU
So a heads up. I was previously @lu-haikyuu I lost that account :(anyways this is a repost. To clarify I am the writer and owner of this fanfic👉👈
This AU I wrote inspired by @kos-tyan art work of Hinata and Kageyama Cinderella AU fanart they made♡
[Word Count: 1,189]
[Type: Fluff]
His pale hands were marked with spots of red and muddy purple. He’d been cleaning the floor for hours, the wet rag never seemed to clean as effectively as it should or maybe it was his evil step brothers who walked in and out dragging not only dirt into the house but there sneer comments as well.
“Oops! I think you misses a spot,” the spoiled brat sneered at him, “better hurry or you’ll never make it to the ball!”
His laugh was neither enjoyable or pleasant it sounded as if though you dragged nails on a chalkboard while babies screamed.
Hinata just bit the inside of his cheek trying not to talk back the voice of his stepmother ringing clearly, “You talk back once and its no ball for you!”
They had left him on his own as his mind reeled. An Hinata had finally finished cleaning the floors as well as waxing. He walked with heavy arms and feet up the stairs. Sighing with relief when his body landed like a rock on the bed, as the stingy frame creaked.
The door opened slightly and there stood Natsu, her muted brown dress all splotched. Threads sticking out from every direction.
“Come here. I’ll fix that stingy thing for you real quick!”
Natsu shook her head full of striking orange hair, “ No Onii-chan! You must rest, tonights the ball after all!”
Hinata chuckled a bit. Tired or not, Natsu was his only remaining blood. After both their mother and father died, Natsu became Hinata’s life. But as she grew older, more independent Hinata felt lonesome.
He stood from bed grabbed some needles, a needle cushion, thread and began working away. Adjusting those loose strands in a flash.
“There all done, see? No time at all either way I have to finish working on my tux for the ball!”
Natsu’s eyes held specks of glitter, “Oh! Can I see how it looks like? Pleaseee!”
Hinata stood up from his bent down position and walked to the corner of the room there stood a mannequin wearing a almost completed tux.
Blue in cloth color and trimmed in the edges with gold/yellow lining. All gathered from discarded materials and clothes from his step brothers. All that was missing were the final buttons and he would be done.
“Wow that looks amazing!”
Hinata flustered a bit and nodded, “Thanks Natsu.”
Soon enough the step mothers cried for help were heard and Natsu stood up to do so. Not before saying, “I’ll go Onii-chan, you finish your tux and don’t have too much fun!”
Hinata was about to protest but his sister had already left. He began to humm a lullaby his mother sang to him a long time ago. As tiny baby crows flocked to his window peering from the edge to see the dancing ball of orange fluff.
Once complete, he swifty changed his clothes. The sun no longer shone as bright so it was safe to assume some hours had passed by.
An although the sun wasn’t as bright, Hinata sure was. As he saw his hard work on himself, he look amazing. No longer the markings of a peasant.
He twirled around as excitment drew near, it was almost time for the ball! Oh how much did he want to go! Socialize and make a multitude of friends, he even heard the prince was quite the looker.
He knew many girls would want him as a suitor but it was well known that the prince preferred men. So his step brothers were out for the hunt.
But his peaceful moment was interrupted when he was called down stairs. Still in hi suit in all he walked as he saw his step brothers dressed in over the top clothes with [quite dreadful] ruffles.
“Hinata you forgot this mark!”
“N-No I didn’t it must have been made recently”
“Are you calling your step brothers liars?!”
“N-no! Its just-”
“Mother! I dare say isn’t that MY clothes? As well as my dear younger brother?!”
The oldest of the two walked to Hinata and gripped the suit.
“N-Now wait! Its clothes you’ve discarded and-”
But Hinata was silenced by the gasp of the older step brother and as he ripped the sleeve. The younger one followed, each devil pointing out where or what the cloth was taken from.
Till Hinata laid sat down, head facing the dirt mark, suit in shreds. His step mother towered over him, her menacing shadow ending any sunlight that hit him.
“You shall not go to the ball! This behavior is unacceptable! You will stay here with Natsu and clean the dishes all night!” An dare he say he saw a smirk graze her wicked face.
Soon the carriage arrived and the bumbling devils left the home. Hinata walked upstairs to his room and cried as the little crows flied near him. One began to peck at his toes, he sniffled.
“W-what?”
The little crow hopped from one place to another. Moving, flapping its wings toward outside.
“I have to go help Natsu”
The little birdie did not care and began to peck him on the head.
“Ow! Ow! Okay, okay I’ll go!”
The little birdie flew out the window as Hinata walked to follow it. It lead him to a patch of clear forest, no shrubs or weeds in sight as a beautiful river laid on the middle.
He walked around and saw his reflection, the mess he was and began to cry. His dream ruined, crushed.
But he stopped. When he felt a hand be placed on his shoulder, looking up his eyes widened.
A man with silver hair, warm golden eyes and a mole under one wearing a robe smiled down on him.
“Don’t fret my boy! I’ll help you go to the ball!”
Hinata sniffled as he stood up, “Why would you do that for me?”
The robed man lifted one hand from beneath his robe revealing his wand, “Well i’m your Fairy Godfather after all!”
Hinata eyes widened as he looked at the man who was chatting with the crow from earlier.
“I know Asahi! Can it or I won’t turn you back,” he cleared his throat and turned to Hinata.
“Now my boy. You want to go to the ball yes?”
“Yes! I really do!”
His Fairy Godfather waved his wand, “well you going to need a new tux and a carriage while your at it too!”
“Bibbity Boppity Boo!” He began to chant and sing as he moved. Specks of magic wrapped themselves around Hinata and his ruined suit became a art piece. Patterns and stitches so complex not even the best tailor in town could compete with. The small pumpkin the crow had brought turned into a huge carriage and the crow from before turned into a tall, long haired bearded man that stood handling the horses that were once mice.
Hinata stared in awe as he began to choke up, “Thank you!”
“Your welcome but be warned! The magic will wear off once the clock strikes midnight!”
He pushed Hinata to the carriage and he rode off, his heart pumping.
When he arrived, the grand staircase greeted him as royalty and nobles from across the land arrived. He mingled with them actively avoiding his step mother and brothers. Although they possibly couldn’t have recognized him.
As he walked he caught eye of his step brother dancing with the prince he was wearing a white suit trimmed with a golden color. Hinata thought the prince looked absolutely beautiful. His stepbrother on the other hand kept stepping on the princes toes. An Hinata suppressed a giggle and once the music stopped and there dance was over the prince caught the sight of orange hair.
Their gazes met and Hinata flushed. Then the prince pointed at him and declared, “You, dance with me.”
Hinata awkwardly stumbled to him as his step brothers and mother glared at him. Yet did not recognized him as the prince grabbed his hand. He planted a kiss on it and Hinata fumed as he began to blabber.
But it all halted as the music started and they danced. Hinata peering into the princes magical blue eyes. His dark hair , strong arms. Hinata realized he didn’t want the dance to end. An for the rest of the time the prince had Hinata by his side as the people whispered amongst themselves.
“Who is that boy with orange hair? What is he doing with Prince Kageyama!?”
Hintas step mothered glared as realization hit her, “No idea.”
Meanwhile Hinata and Kageyama talked all night, finding multiple common grounds and differences. Everything was paradise.
Until Hinata heard the clock chime as the clock struck 12. He began to panic and tole the unsure prince, “I-I have to go!”
Kageyama tried to grab his hand, “Wait! Where can I find you!”
But Hinata was already off, running leaving nothing in his awake, besides a stand of orange hair. He hopped on his carriage and was able to get home just in time before the carriage transformed into a pumpkin and the horses into mice.
The next week Hinatas mind was occupied with thoughts of the dreamy prince. Until a marshall came and declared that every house hold would be checked for orange hair. Hinata’s eyes widened, he was looking for him?!
An when the knock came to the door Hinata rushed to open it, but was stopped by his “family”.
“Don’t even think about it! We already saw you with the prince at the ball that night!”
One brother had Natsu in his grasped and forced Hinata inside his room with his sister. Locked the door as he shouted and banged on it.
The marshall had come in with prince Kageyama. His blue eyes scanned the room, two orange haired boys stood peering at him. He grabbed the strand of orange hair and held it to there’s for comparison.
“Its too dark” he scowled.
“Oh your majesty you must be mistaken! It is clearly the colo-”
“Its not” his voice was gruff, it was not his hair. It was too dark. The marshall and the prince were about to leave, bodies half way through the door. When Hinata ran into the room, pink and sweating. The prince turned back to see his eyes wide.
“Its you!” The prince shouted as he pushed aside the protesting mother and step brothers.
He held his strand of hair to Hinata and it was a perfect match. The prince hugged him in a warm embraced and spin him around.
(A few months later)
Hinata stood in the palace nervous as his Fairy God Father, Suga giggled.
“You’ll be fine!”
Hinata stuttered, “I-I’m getting married!”
Natsu giggled as she spin in her adorable dress with bows on it.
Suga adjusted Hinatas tie and pushed him to enter the door. There as he walked down the aisle he saw Kageyama standing handsome as ever.
His step mother and brothers no where to be seen, doomed to wash palace dishes for lifetime.
As a Hinata and Kageyama were seen kissing through the carriage windows. Flying off to their own happily ever after.
Hinata walked hand in hand out of the church with his prince. As crows flew and petals rained from the sky, bells ringing symphonies of happiness.

The Royal Report– A Crown of Candy Ep 14 Encounter in the Ice Cream Temple
We All Scream
We return to the Ice Cream Temple after the absolute bombshell that the SPF engineered Jet’s death as a way to get the Candians to her lair and gear up for the fight that that revelation obviously triggered. We get a better idea of the battlefield with the amazing Rick Perry set--like even by his standards it’s amazing, fog is involved. The party is on a ledge on one side of the room and there are huge levitating Popsicles and ice cream cones between them and a massive tower of frozen desserts which has the chocolate egg stuck in it in a little alcove.
As the fight begins, the SPF quickly cycles through all her glamours before revealing her true form, a huge, blue/purple, many-faced, many-winged, angelic type being--but angel in the, “We’re saying ‘be not afraid’ not as a formality but because we know we look scary,” sense. And with a Nat 20 initiative she goes to cast something in a cone that would have hit everyone for 8d8 damage but Rina dispels it with a clutch 5th level Counterspell (rolling exactly the DC without even adding her mod), absolutely foiling Brennan. In celebration, she finally puts the crown on Amethar tossed to her a couple of eps back.
Cumulus does some crazy monk movement to jump all the way across to the alcove with the egg. Unfortunately, the SPF immediately uses a legendary action to hit him with with a Ray of Frost for 27 damage and then gets a lair action to skewer him with an icicle, fully dropping him to death saves. The one small mercy is that Cumulus falls towards the egg, not into the mist.
Liam takes some shots at the SPF, and learns that she has both a really high AC and some kind of Mirror Image spell going to take some of her hits. He also eats the Peppermint Heart Seed the SPF returned to them, hoping it will give him flight like it did to Preston (almost jumping off the ledge to test it) but Brennan rolls on the Wild Magic Table and it instead makes the entire party Invisible.
Ruby (at Brennan’s mischievous suggestion) jumps off the edge so she’ll be in range to use Mage Hand, ties it to the end of the rope to the closest floating Popsicles (the orange one), and hangs on. In the distance, she can hear her aunts cheering for her. The SPF blasts her with some cold damage, insisting she just wants to take her somewhere safe but Ruby is having none of that.
Amethar throws some javelins which just gets rid of some of the illusions. The SPF does some more damage to Ruby.
Theo, student of Lazuli, realizes that the SPF is like a dragon sitting atop all this magical treasure but she’s not the source of the magic per se and they should be able to get the floating Popsicles to move at their command. He tells everyone and then holds his turn to see if Rina does anything crazy. Rina Thundersteps herself and Theo to the Popsicle Ruby is hanging onto and uses Winterscoop like an oar to try and move it (DC 10 Wis check w/ advantage--Brennan’s one small mercy). She gets it and yells to her guys to jump onto the other Popsicle (the red one) but they aren’t able to move it. With the rest of his held turn, Theo cast Protection From Evil and Good on Rina.
The SPF tries to blast Rina’s group with another cone attack but Rina stops it cold (ha) with another Counterspell, viably breaking Brennan.
Cumulus fails a death save. Theo takes some cold damage which he lessens with Absorb Elements. Then the SPF casts a spell on Ruby, entering her mind and saying, “You came to me in the glade. Wherever you go, I go.” And she hears a scream from Jet as the SPF begins stitching her own shadow to Ruby. (Spooky, hate that!)
Liam jumps on the red Popsicle and attacks the SPF again, getting rid of the last of her protective illusion.
Ruby swings up to where Cumulus and the egg is. She the rope to Cumulus and pushes him off the edge (Zac’s Face: *Immediate Concern*) so they can pull him up and help him. She also does an Insight check on the egg and feels that the outside is cold but there’s a deep rumbling from within.
Amethar jumps onto the red Popsicle and is finally able to move it. He gets closer to the SPF to throw some javelins and gets a hit this time but, unfortunately, as the SPF is hit, an identical wound dealing half damage appears on Ruby. Ruby yells this info to everyone else.
Theo again delays his action to wait for Rina to act. Rina Healing Word’s Cumulus both because he’s down and to boost her movement by ten (she gets that free 10 feet of Fly when she casts a spell) and she uses that movement to get within range of the egg and cast Bonfire (a cantrip) on the egg (Ruby insisting she could have done it without help). Brennan, womped thrice, needs a 12 or higher on 2d8 to damage the egg. Rina gets a 13 on the dice without having to even do any Sorcery shenanigans.
The egg cracks, releasing hot steam, the smell of cinnamon and the most ADORABLE baby dragon that imprints on Rina immediately. Rina coos that she finally has a family.”
“That is mine,” the SPF says.
“Not anymore,” Rina replies.
Ruby’s Big Day
Jon Bon nails the SPF with a throwing ax, doing half damage to Ruby again.
The SPF does a ton of damage to the red Popsicle peeps and Swifty and Gooey look ROUGH.
Cumulus (after determining that the SPF connection with Ruby will fade soon) jumps and grapples the SPF, doing a successful Stunning Strike, but the SPF uses a legendary resistance to come out of stun and then attacks him, paralyzing him and leaving him to fall.
Ruby tries to figure out if she can do something and Rina says if she trusts her and holds her action, she can do something to help. But it’s not necessary because, on his turn, Liam hits the SPF with a crossbow bolt (Ruby takes no damage as the connection has faded) and then moves the Popsicle under where Cumulus is going to land. The SPF hits Liam for 25 points of damage, taking him down to 9.
Even though she doesn’t need it to save Cumulus anymore, Ruby still delays her turn to get movement help from Rina (reluctantly). Amethar catches Cumulus out of the air before he hits the Popsicle and then does almost 50 points of damage to the SPF with Payment Day now that he’s in melee range.
Theo moves the orange Popsicle closer to where the action is happening, Misty Steps to the floating ice cream cone between his Popsicle and the other one, then tries to boomerang his sword to hit the SPF, but it doesn’t hit.
Rina (slipping into a very Fig manner of speech for a second) asks Ruby, “You wanna go for a ride?” Ruby accepts and Rina (after telling Cinnamon--the newly christened dragon--to fly over to her when he has a chance) Thundersteps herself and Ruby over to the very crowded orange Popsicle with the SPF. She also casts Create Bonfire on the SPF which does double damage--24.
And Ruby decides to take her held turn.
She casts Green Flame Blade on Flickerish--Jet’s sword--and says, “For Jet, bitch.”
Yak flies over to give her advantage (and make this as cinematic as possible).
Nat 20 bay-bee!
So she’s getting extra dice from Green Flame Blade, Rogue Sneak Attack, Flickerish’s Superiority Dice, and the Nat 20. Siobhan is rolling a DM number of dice here and you truly love to see it.
Brennan, sensing that, writes a number on a folded piece of paper and hands it to her. The amount of HP the SPF has left. Then he has her roll in the Box of Doom. She lets those colorful dice fly and counts them up--while Brennan looks on with increasing consternation in the background.
59.
She opens the piece of paper.
52!
Ruby lands graceful, balancing with her circus training, shadow of Jet being cast tall on the wall of the cavern.
“Can’t you come home with me?” asks the SPF.
“Why don’t you come home with me?”
Ruby thrusts the sword forward and the SPF (who Brennan says was literally just about to use her 9th level spell slot to cast Wish and restore all her HP) is no more.
Cold Shoulder
Fight over, the mist begins to clear. They see the floor of the cavern is just magical items on magical items and Swifty is stoked as hell. The magic of this place goes from painfully freezing cold and sickly sweet to the good kind of crisp cold and welcoming availability.
Ruby in her ear hears 4 voices:
“Proud of you, kid.”
“You make it look effortless. I am so proud.”
“Sweetheart, I don’t know where we’re going next. It was nice to be here, but we’re gonna go somewhere we don’t know, but we’re gonna go there together.”
“I was fourth in line and I didn’t know that we were all gonna say something. They didn’t tell me.”
“Look after her please,” Ruby says.
“I wouldn’t dream of doing anything else.”
Then she feels the embrace of her shadow and it returns to its place.
(“I love you so much. I’m sorry I couldn’t save you.”)
Rina says to Ruby that she could have finished off the SPF herself but she wanted to let her have the killing blow because it clearly meant a lot to her. She doesn’t know if that will mean anything to her now and she feels that maybe she’s wasting her time continually trying to reach out to her but maybe, someday, it will get through to her.
Rina’s guys escort her away and she can tell that Gooey has something on her mind. Rina gives her permission to speak freely and Gooey (with Swifty and Jon Bon chiming in) basically says, “Fuck the Candians. They treat you like shit. We’re your real family. You’re gonna be a dope ass queen.”
“You know, it’s funny. That’s the first time someone has called me queen and it hasn’t felt uncomfortable. It actually felt really good.”
Ruby takes another moment of silence for Jet. Theo says that it was always Jet’s dream to be fighting with and for the common people which is Rina’s whole thing. They should be rallying behind her. Ruby and Amethar never even wanted to rule--now he gets to be a warrior again like he wanted. Amethar shoots back with his perspective on the last 4 weeks: his daughter died, he died twice, he decided he was gonna finally man up and bam, it turns out he’s not even king anymore. So excuse him for not being the most gung ho person in the world.
Theo says that he trusts that Amethar is on board but Rina doesn’t know him. From her POV, this is just unprovoked shunning.
“You have two living daughters.”
Ruby goes to talk to Rina and, on a Nat 20 Insight, sees that all her guys are fully ready to remorselessly kill her if given the order. Still, she presses on, laying out her cards: Her entire worldview has imploded in a matter of weeks. Her twin sister just died. She’s going through so much and now this too? She can’t accept Rina as both her sister and her queen. She has to pick one.
“I understand that you lost everything,” Rina says, “but I was born with nothing.” She says that she was actually very excited to meet Ruby and have a sister and finally not be alone anymore, tears cracking through her cold facade for a moment. But then she gathers herself.
“If I must choose, then I choose to be your queen.”
“Very well.”
Rina and her crew exit the Temple and start down the mountain. Everyone except for Liam follows them. Liam goes to check on the hoard and rolls a 24 Investigation check. At the base of the tower he sees an old lair with ancient chocolate eggshells. He knows this is the dark space from his dreams and he knows this was once a dragon lair. At the center of the nest (which is still somehow warm), there’s a little ember that glows brighter as he approaches. It grows red and bright, filling his vision, a hand reaches out, grabs his throat and pulls and we end the ep!
Medal of Honor
Killing a god should be enough to get anyone this spot.
But killing a god with only a 7 point margin on a Nat 20 in order to avenger your sister’s death with her own sword a turn before said god was about to down a Full Restore?
Ooh, man. All hail Princess Ruby Rocks baby!
Things I’m Concerned About
OK, I mentioned last week I was worried about Rina doing a Cat's in the Cradle but I said I’d elaborate later and what I feared seems to be materializing so I’m going to talk about it now. Rina clearly had a certain vision of what she wanted this family reunion to look like and, for valid reasons, it’s not happening that way. They’re not really bonding. So what this ends up being is them relying on her in battle but brushing her off socially--at least that’s what it looks like from her POV. And like, she’s been around for like 2 days so it’s kind of unreasonable for her to expect them to be fully on board already but I see where she’s coming from. If I grew up as basically a Dickensian orphan and a princess told me a sob story (however valid) I wouldn’t be impressed. It would be a complicated situation even without a war happening in the background. On top of that, Rina is surrounded by Yes-Men which concerned me from the start when Gooey pulled her aside that first time. The last time we had the potential for serious party conflict in D20 (not counting Bloodkeep because I maintain that, despite the setup and Brennan’s best efforts, that was never going to happen) was the Kingston/Pete situation and that ended up fizzling out but idk man. That conversation Rina had about how it felt kinda nice to be called queen? That def set off some alarm bells in my head. I don’t know enough about GoT to know if this is a totally valid statement but when she got the dragon and then that convo happened I was like...hmm...how does Dany’s story end again?
Lol also, whatever the heck is going on with Liam and the dragon. Really this should be first but, I’m gonna be real, the Rina thing was so much that I fully forgot this was a thing that also happened.
I’m concerned about whatever happens next ep that was so bad they’ve been talking about it for ages. Feeling pretty trepid about that my guys.
We haven’t heard from Annabelle and Primsy in a while and that doesn’t necessarily mean anything bad but...hmm...
Five A Few More Things
Ah yes, the return of the, “Why can’t a butterscotch bird help me perform first aid?” argument. “Are you telling me a bird can’t save someone’s life?”
“Give me the child.” Brennan, I know I say this a lot but if anything happens to Cinnamon...a single thing...a solitary hitpoint...Brennan…
There's a bit where Cumulus rolls like a 9 and Ally goes, “Can he get advantage from the egg?” And Siobhan makes a face like, “Fully what?” but then a second later is like, “That’s a great question,” totally straight-faced and it’s so funny.
I wonder if Rina’s peeps feel the way they do about the whole party? Because Theo is honestly (in Murph’s words) also one of her goons practically and Cumulus pledged the orders’ services to her. You’d think they’d get consideration.
When Cinnamon gives Rina a Help action she goes, “I’ve never gotten  Help action before,” and I understand what she meant but also, lol, she gets Help actions like every turn from her guys.
“Don’t come after my distant cousin!”
Very happy that if combat is happening in our story eps we’re getting some story in our combat eps. Getting a significant chunk of immediate aftermath is very cool and something I often wished for in the other main seasons.
FYI: Celestial is Liam’s Greater Favored Enemy.
Brennan really does love to undercut the tenseness of the situations of his dark world by reminding us all that it’s also deeply stupid and made of candy and I think that’s great.
One More Thing
Two big fandom art things are happening right now that I want to shout out:
(1) Until the 24th, D20 is accepting CoC fanart for their finale montage. The email is [email protected] and the details are on their Twitter.
(2) A fan run event is also happening--as big bang (which is a fanfic-visual art team-up thing that I’m learning about for the first time but seems really cool). Info for that is here.
