From YA to Adult: Jasper Dent's Next Chapter!

It’s happening, y’all! Bridekiller, the first chapter in the next phase of the life of Jasper Dent, is real!If you've been reading my newsletter, you've already seen some pieces of the story, but now I'm here to tell you that it's done -- bar some revising -- and it's headed your way! Some of you may recall that I hinted that the “adult Jazz” series might be forthcoming as a self-published endeavor. It’s actually tricky, it turns out, to convince publishers to publish an adult series based on a YA series! So, yeah, I was going to self-publish it in order to circumvent that problem and get the story to you. But then a publisher stepped in and stepped up!I will have more details soon, but in the meantime, rest easy: Jasper is still alive and kicking, and soon his tale will continue!Speaking of his tale… I’m happy to report that people are still finding Before the Hunt and enjoying it. The more I think about it, the more excited I am about a potential Adult Jazz spin off. It would literally make my whole year.

PS: I loved this series since I was 15, a whole decade, and I will continue to love it. It’s the only series I’ve ever attached to and the only one I’ve re-read more than twice. It’s a staple in my life. Jazz is everything.

I was wondering if anyone knows how the new airline regulations regarding prohibited items, specifically some very small knifes, are being reported by medias around the country? Most media and politicians in Quebec are focusing on kirpans, trying to ignite hysteria & they are pushing the old anti-accommodements raisonnables rhetoric–they successfully convinced people reasonable accommodation were a big problem a few years ago. Are things as bad outside of Quebec? :/

🔸️I Hunt Killers Book Review🔸️ I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga is a fun and dark YA novel about a teenager whose father is the most infamous serial killer known to man. Now, with his dad behind bars and his aunt raising him, he struggles to block the "lessons" his father gave him in killing; instead, using the insight to catch criminals. This is a series, but I've only read up to book two. This book is definitely a fun read, though it is reminiscent of a Hannibal Lector/Clarice relationship. I just read the new short about jazz in “Life is Short and then you die: first encounters with murder” and it was amazing. I missed Jazz so much !!!! He also needs a big hug omg this boi has my whole heart
