summary: Old habits come back when you meet an ex lover after a long time. Conversations feel like you never stopped talking to them. Sometimes you have to see them one last time to say goodbye like you mean it but most of the time it doesn’t go as planned.

She picked up her phone to open Instagram. Yes, Y/N still had notifications on for his account even after they were broken up for months. Classic Tom.

He posted two of the same picture on his story. No one understood how that would happen almost every time, not even the people working at Instagram to whom they contacted about the glitch.

Tom had his hair slicked back, standing in a white t-shirt next to Harry, his brother, giving a million-dollar smile. They were holding a clapperboard together. There was text on the picture too, 'day 1 let's go!!' She smiled to herself. Just because they weren't together doesn't mean that she wasn't allowed to feel happy for his achievements. Even though she wishes to know all these big things from Tom himself she is, unfortunately, left here, watching a small part of his life flash in front of her for less than thirty seconds.

"Are you listening?" Hope, Y/N's date said.

"Yeah, I'm sorry. You were saying?" Y/N placed the phone back where it was resting, next to the cold wine bottle.

"You seem distant," they said.

When she 'met' Hope (she only really met them 30 minutes ago), Y/N wasn't looking for love, just sex, and that is what online dating specializes in. She hoped Hope knew what they were signing up for, sexual intimacy and nothing else.

"It doesn't matter does, does it? We both know what we are here for. Why not just cut the chase," Y/N replied.

It was early in the morning, the sun had yet to shine in its full glory. Y/N could only think of the first time she stayed over at Tom's old apartment but then she turned her head only to find Hope's naked body next to her. Her heartbeat accelerated with the realization that he was not hers anymore. Being in a foreign environment didn't help her growing anxiety, twisting and turning her intestines.

It's been four months, her feelings for Tom refuse to quit on her because she knows she could never quit on them, on him, even if he has. He probably has already found someone else in Canada, she thought. She didn't want him anymore but she still needed him, one last time just to teach her stupid heart how to say goodbye.

Y/N wore her clothes and picked up her shoes, going on a trail to find Hope's door to get out before they wake up. Climbing down the stairs, she took out her phone from the back pocket of her jeans.

'5 new messages from Sam' 7 hours ago

Sam: hey

Sam: ik it's late

Sam: I am going for a run tmr morning @6

Sam: do you wanna come?

Sam: will go to the new coffee house near my house after that

Y/N texted him back

Y/N: I'll meet you at the coffee place

Sam: come fast. already here

Sam and Y/N were standing in the queue to place their orders. “You look especially shitty today,” Sam said, running his right hand through his sweaty hair.

“I haven’t been home yet,” Y/N reasoned her appearance.

His mouth formed an ‘o’ shape. The person in front of them left the queue, they moved towards the counter. “One hazelnut latte, double shot with skimmed milk,” Y/N gave her order.

“And you?” the cashier’s question directed to Sam.

“I’ll have a matcha latte with oat milk”

Sam turned to Y/N, “Harrison got me on matcha, and now I can’t go back to coffee”

They paid their dues and moved over to the barista counter to collect their order.

“So, what were you doing last night?” Sam inquired.

“I was on a date, it isn't a big deal though. Just had some needs to take care of”

“Oh, was it any good?”

“It was fine. I was distracted the whole time. Saw Tom’s story about halfway into the bottle of merlot. Couldn’t stop thinking about him”

“Seems…sad. But you know Tom is coming back for the Christmas weekend, I think. He might attend Harrison’s Christmas eve party”

“One hazelnut latte and one matcha latte,” someone behind the counter screamed.

“That’s us,” Sam raised his voice.

Harrison had a bucket inside his house, under a sign that said 'drop your tracking devices here' with an arrow pointing to the bucket. Y/N dropped her phone on a pile of roughly fourteen others. Debating whether to see Tom's face was something she wanted or not made her late and not very fashionably.

The house was decorated with empty liquor bottles along with red and green streamers from one wall to another. Everyone was drunk in their best dress. There were no signs of Tom yet. Y/N took a deep breath, walking towards the kitchen to get herself some liquid courage to help her socialize.

The kitchen was rather scarcely populated. Empty glasses were lined up next to the sink. Are they clean or used? Bending down, Y/N opened the refrigerator to see if Harrison had any chilled wine. No luck. "Hey," a familiar voice was heard.

She looked up at the familiar stranger.

"Hey Tom," she smiled. The refrigerator light falling on Y/N made her blush visible.

She grabbed a half-cut lemon placed in the egg tray.

“How have you been?" Tom asked leaning back on the kitchen counter, observing her movements.

Y/N walked towards the sink to grab herself a crystal glass hoping for it to be clean. "Just busy with work these days"

"I heard you got a job at Condé Nast, is that true?" he took a sip from his beer.

"Well, you heard right. You are looking at their new senior brand manager for digital", she said proudly.

Tom hugged her from the side she was holding a knife to cut the lemon for her gin and tonic. "That's great darling! You always wanted to work there"

Darling. The butterflies in her stomach were fluttering like the first time she met Tom.

"I saw your story the other day. You started filming your script, right?" she dropped the lemon in the glass.

"Yup, it was a long time coming," he grabbed the knife she was using and washed it without even knowing. He was so used to Y/N never washing utensils after using them and, he would always have to clean up after her.

"Congrats on that babe!" The word 'babe' just slipped out of practice.

Y/N grabbed a Bombay Sapphire standing still on the marble slab. The blue of the bottle shinning even in the dim-lit room.

"I missed you," Y/N made eye contact, screwing the cap back on. A long, silent pause.

I miss you too, so very much

She cleared her throat, "so, how long are you staying?"

"Going back Monday morning"

She opened a can of tonic water.

"Are you seeing someone?" Tom asked.

"Wouldn't you wanna know" a smirk on her face grew. "I've been out on few dates, nothing serious. What about you?"

"Met this girl online, dated for a bit but, she wanted something I couldn't give to her"

Y/N scoffed, "did she have a foot fetish or something?"

"No, Y/N. She wanted love, not my feet" they both laughed.

"On that topic..." Tom calmed himself, "...I was listening to this song a few weeks ago and, there was this line, 'the smell of your hair reminds me of her feet' and it made me think of you"

"I reckon," she took a sip of her gin and tonic.

"No, seriously, I really related to that line. No matter how many people I hook up with, it will be hard to find the type of intimacy I shared with you. I still relate to it"

"I hate going on walks alone and having faceless dreams," Y/N blurted, lacking a proper reaction.

"You're still the face of all my fantasies," Tom confessed.

None of them knew what to say next. Anything they thought of saying now included walking over the blurry line of exes to lovers.

"You look pretty"

"Classic me, had a glow up after getting my heartbroken"

"You always looked this pretty. You are beautiful," Tom assured her. The 'heartbroken part did not sit well with him. He already felt guilty for taking a job across the pond which was a great opportunity for him to grow but was only possible by severing his ties with Y/N.

It had just started snowing on Boxing Day. Tom was alone in his cold home, boiling a pot of ramen noodles. He took out his phone and snapped a picture of the burning stove with the pot on top.

Tom: *attached photo*

Tom: I come back after months and my family leaves me alone with no food

Y/N: you should add a poached egg

Tom: Thanks. I shall.

Tom: I think I made too much ramen for me

Tom: do you wanna come over and share?

Her indecision was visible by the coming and going of the gray dots. Then finally, Tom could tame his anxiety by her simple reply.

Y/N: sure.

There was a loud knock on the door. Tom put two bowls of hot ramen on the dining table and went to open the door. Behind the door, Y/N was standing with her hands inside her brown checker coat. There was dust of snow sitting on her shoulders. Her braided hair was made by the most anxious hands in town.

The door opened and, Tom’s hands flew to take Y/N in his arms. They hugged like little kids hug their parents after being away from each other, for them, an eternity. It did feel like an eternity to them too but, they hadn’t forgotten each other’s touch.

“I parked my car at the church, couldn’t find any spot here ‘cause of the snow," she pulled out.

“The snow seems to be gaining momentum.”

Y/N hummed in agreement. She took off her coat and hung it in the Holland’s coat closet.

“Come on, the ramen is getting cold,” she followed tom into the kitchen.

They sat adjacent on the wooden table in comfortable silence. Tom used chopsticks and, Y/N used a fork. Only the occasional noodles falling in the broth were heard, along with the gushing of wind.

“It’s really spicy for me,” Tom said.

“Yeah, I can see your ears turning red.”

She still remembers

Y/N raised her hand to cover her mouth while yawning.

“Since you made the food, I’ll do the dishes,” she got up, grabbed their bowls, and walked over to the sink.

Wearing the gloves, she turned to Tom, “it was quite tasty”.

Tom gave her a smile.

She spread the soap on the dishes and turned the tap on. Tom pushed his chair back to get up.

“Have you made any friends at your new job,” he jumped and sat on the counter next to Y/N.

“Yeah, sort of. Kyara works there too so, I have just made her friends my friends,” she washed his chopsticks.

“That’s good. Have you talked to Emily after the wedding? She told me they are planning on adopting.”

“They invited me over for dinner when they got the approval from the agency. Kyara made this amazing Hyderabadi biryani, it was her mum’s recipe so, it was obviously better than the restaurant”

“God! You and your love for Indian food”

Y/N removed her gloves, “I should go. Thanks for the ramen, by the way”

“Are you sure you can go out in this weather?”

“Yeah I think," she started walking out of the kitchen.

Tom grabbed her hand. “Stay”, his voice was like cotton.

Y/N turned and made contact with his pleading eyes. She moved closer to him. “Please”, he said. They both were inching in to lock their desperate lips.

Y/N did not notice when she had fallen asleep talking to Tom. Their naked bodies were covered by the white comforter. Her eyes slowly opened to a boy with brown eyes and messy hair looking at her.

“I like it when you sleep. I love watching you sleep”

She chuckled. “That’s a bit creepy, don’t you think?” She had a sleepy voice.

“You look so serene, the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I could stare at you for eons”

“But love, I'm only here till the snow settles,” she caressed his cheeks.

“Then the cold shall frost our limbs," he leaned in to kiss her.

he loved you. levi ackerman loved you.

loved.

you don’t remember when he started to act different. when he started to pull away, when he become more quiet than he used to be with you. it just felt like he was your levi, your levi, and then one day he wasn’t.

it was a slow process. it started with him forgetting to pull out your own mug when he made his morning tea, then he would forget to kiss your cheek before leaving for work. then he stopped saying goodbye all together. not texting you what time he'd be home, and working late had become normal. even though he had told you he absolutely hated staying after hours to do paperwork his boss piled on him at the last minute.

it was the same excuse each time. "my boss gave me more work."

until there wouldn’t be an explanation. "staying late tonight. eat without me."

and then there was no reply at all.

read at 6:29pm

you tried to make it work. you tried to talk to him, make conversation about anything. but slowly the smile he gave you faded, and his usually engaged answers would be replaced by curt responses.

you started doing more work around the house, trying to help him. you convinced yourself he was stressed, that he was just being overworked, but in the end you only ended up burning yourself out.

you went to his best friend, hange. they’d known levi for the longest time, since college. you thought they could tell you what was wrong.

“this used to happen in college. he’d just kind of, shut down. it’s nothing you did, you just need to give him some space. he’ll bounce right back ! he always does. so don’t worry y/n.”

giving him space was the worst thing you could’ve done.

now instead of him coming home to you playing music, or making food, or saying “hey levi !” he got nothing. silence. space.

you would usually be in the bedroom, reading or working on something. you threw yourself into your work to fill the hole in your heart. asking for more work from your boss while your mental health was declining. it hurt you to realize that the place you once called home, wasn’t home anymore. and the man you called your love, didn’t love you anymore. two people that lived together, that would see each other everyday, yet never said anything to each other. your place in levi’s life was gone, and the home you had created together felt nothing like the warmth you were used to. instead it was replaced by the coldness of his stare as he would watch you grab a snack, or get dressed. you felt like you were in a prison, locked up playing pretend when you both knew that this has ended. that it had ended long ago. but you stayed, because you love him.

the last straw for you was when you found out why he had pulled away from you. there was another person, because of course there was. it seems like there always is in stories like these. sure, you’ve watched tv dramas where someone gets cheated on, hell you have a friend who was cheated on. yet you didn’t think it would happen to you.

because levi had been staying out later, leaving earlier, taking work home with him so he wouldn’t have to talk to you, he was sleeping longer. sometimes he’d go to bed without dinner. tonight was one of those nights. you could hear him snoring softly beside you. him on his side with his back turned, and you on your back staring at the ceiling. the first few times his phone lit up you thought it was your imagination, the room was so dark you thought your eyes were playing tricks on you. but then it kept happening, and you had a pretty good idea that it was levi’s phone going off. so as quietly as you could you slipped out of bed, and moved towards the other side where he was sleeping. your eyes kept glancing between him and the phone as you crouched down to get it. you crouched by the bed beside him, seeing levi’s peaceful face in front of yours. it was a sight that made your heart ache as you slowly took his phone off the charger, before swiping it open (thank god he doesn’t have a lock on his phone) and turning down the brightness. you were bombarded by messages and picture attachments by a woman named petra. you knew petra, she worked with levi. although you’d never met her, levi used to talk so highly about her, how he was impressed with her work performance. you opened the messages and your heart stopped.

“ik its late but i miss you”

“wanna see each other tomorrow night ? i finished all the extra work that smith gave me today, so tomorrow is business as usual.”

“here’s a little something to convince you to hang out with me.”

and then there were pictures of her. she was in some lacy lingerie, and you hated to admit it but she looked good. you didn’t even realize you were crying until you saw the droplets fall on the screen, magnifying different words she had said and different parts of her body. you felt disgusted, and betrayed, but you wanted to know more, you wanted to know how deep their relationship was, and how long they had been doing this.

from the messages you could read through your crying, scrolling back weeks and weeks, she didn’t know about you. levi never gave it away. the same way he never gave it away that he was cheating on you. you wiped your tears away and slowly put the phone back on his bedside table. before walking around your room. you tried to be as quiet as possible as you gathered some clothes, you charger, money, phone, and toiletries in a backpack. you quickly changed out of your nightwear into a pair of sweats and a hoodie, before slinking out of the bedroom.

you knew he would open is phone to see the messages he sent petra on august 20th, and then he’d know you went snooping around. you had a good suspicion he wouldn’t care that you weren’t at your shared apartment anymore, and he wouldn’t try looking for you, but just to be safe, you called a cab to take you to the bus terminal and got a ticket for your home town. you needed to get away from him, from everything, and that’s exactly what you did. you texted all your friends and told them to block levi, and then you muted your messages to hange, so you wouldn’t see if they sent anything. finally, as the bus started moving, you gave yourself the luxury of sleep.

you woke up with the sun in your eyes. it was just started to rise with different hues of yellow, orange and pink swirled in the sky. the playlist you put on was still going, a kanye song playing on shuffle. you checked your phone to see yourself bombarded with questions from your friends and parents. but the one thing that stood out to you were the messages and missed calls from levi.

a sad chuckle left your lips when you realized this was the most he’s communicated with you in weeks.

“where are you ?”

“your friends aren’t answering my texts, and i know you wouldn’t leave early for work.”

“please answer.”

“i know what you saw, and i’m sorry. please just tell me where you are so i can come get you.”

“damnit y/n, this isn’t funny. at least let me know you’re okay.”

it hurt you to think that this was exactly how you acted towards levi when your relationship started to fall apart. a desperate person, in need of answers and reassurance, was how you once acted, but that was now levi’s role. for some reason you felt, better. you didn’t want him to be in pain, to be worried about you, but you wanted him to care. care about you the way you cared about him. and as sad as it was, you liked how scared he sounded.

“i know you’ve seen these. tell me where you are please.”

“y/n please. i know this can’t go back to the way they used to, but let me explain.”

he didn’t need to explain anything. you already knew. he didn’t love you anymore, and as much as it hurt you can’t force someone to be with you. he had already let you go months ago, and you were too in denial to allow yourself that freedom. you kept him on the hook long enough, and now it was time for you two to go your separate ways. you didn’t give him the luxury of a reply, instead leaving him to stare at the read at 7:01am that was no doubt on his screen right now.

you weren’t healed. and you knew you wouldn’t be for a while. but with understanding comes clarity. you had tied yourself down long enough, you were ready to let go. and you deserve this new beginning.

and nothing hurts anymore i feel kinda free

Pairing: Reader x Quake (slightly), !platonicreader x Veddie

Warnings: Language

Summary: AOS mixed with Venom

Notes: ik i said there would be tongue but this is like 3-4 months late, and I really wanted to give it to my anon, its also a lot longer than I do for regular fics

“Eddie?!” You shout out, your mouth agape.

“Yes (Y/N). We are sending you and Agent Johnson to watch out for Mr. Brock, and his new ‘friend’” Agent Coulson says, sliding out of his seat and coming to stand next to you.

“Eddie as in Edwardo Brockton? Edward ‘Gonna get the Crap™ beat out of him’ Brockton? As in the Eddie I haven’t seen or heard from in almost 7 months?”

Coulson lets out a short chuckle at your “nicknames” for Eddie, and hands you a file. It contained profiles on both Eddie and Venom separately, some documents of their abilities together, and a small picture of them.

“We have reason to believe that they are being targeted by HYDRA, and we want to send both you and Daisy in to do a threat analysis of their current situation,” you look up at this, almost incredulous, and begin to open your mouth, but he cuts you off with “We understand that they are capable of taking care of themselves, but we need you there to just—“

“—keep an eye on them?” you interrupt, understanding where Coulson was going.

He gives you a small, soft smile, and replies, “Exactly.”

“If this is a mission for both Daisy and I…… where is she?”

“Daisy is on another, shorter mission, and will meet up with you a couple of hours after you arrive. We have already contacted Mr. Brock, and he will be waiting for you at the airport. I suggest you start getting your bags packed, you leave in….about….45 minutes.” Coulson looks up from his watch, and you give him a small nod.

Turning to leave for the door, you begin to walk away. As you get ready to walk out, you suddenly turn around to give him a hug, whispering a small ‘Thank You’ in his ear, and running out before he can react.

San Francisco was warm in September.

Warmer than you thought.

You weren’t gonna be phased by the weather, so you continued your way through customs. Even though you were a SHIELD. Agent, for this mission you had to pose as a civilian, which included going through the airport. Skipping the crowd for baggage claim, you walk out into the warm air, and look around, looking for the mop of brown hair you remembered.

The fucker’s nowhere to be seen, knew I should’ve called a cab.

As you continue to curse Eddie out in your head, you pull your phone out to find the nearest Uber or Lyft driver, not noticing the person approaching you from behind.

You did, however, feel the hand on your shoulder.

As an agent, you’re trained to be lithe and ready for any form of attack, which was how you ended up flipping this stranger onto his stomach, on the floor of the airport. You had his arm drawn behind his back, your knee on the small of his back, and a small knife dug into his shoulder. You were ready to yell at the man, interrogate him for getting too close, when you recognized the beat up black leather jacket, and the short crop of hair he had.

“Eddie fucking Brock?” You question, just to be sure. You had not seen him in a while, it was only natural that you were a little cautious.

“Yea, it’s me, I promise! Now will you get off of me, dumbass?” He says, although it’s muffled due to the fact that he’s still on the floor.

“Oh shit! Ye-yeah. ‘M sorry, shitty, I really am”

“It’s cool, truly. As long as you stay over there,” he says, getting up and dusting himself off. When he looks at you, he gives a slightly upset look, but bursts out laughing a few seconds later. You laugh along with him, and jump into his arms, not caring about the people who were watching the altercation as if you were both crazy.

“Is he here? Where’s my venom-babe?” You question, only here for one reason.

“Yea, he’s always here. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you like him more than me,” he says with a slight chuckle, ready for you to disprove his theory. You only give him a blank stare in return, waiting for him to catch on. His face falls as he realizes, and you burst out in laughter, not able to hold it in any longer.

“I’m joking, love. I came for the both of you, just a little helping out. We can talk more about it later, but not here, Ok?” You fix the duffle on your shoulder, and turn away, “Now….where’s your bike?”

Arriving in front of his apartment, you hop off the bike, and stroll up to the steps. You had been on the back of Eddie’s bike before, so you never rode with a helmet, letting the wind whip through your hair, and feeling the breeze brush against your face.

Even though you had gotten to his apartment complex, you waited till you were sat in his living room before saying anything about your fast arrival. Instead you make light conversation about his living situation.

“Damn bitch, you live like this?”

Eddie gives you a bewildered look, and lets out a loud sigh, “I swear, I leave you alone for 5 minutes, and the internet completely destroys your brain.”

He moves to grab something out of the fridge, while you get settled on the couch. As he walks over and hands you a bottle of water, what he had said registers in your mind.

“5 minutes?! Eddie you haven’t contacted me in 7 months. You’ve got a lot of nerve, Brock. You’re just lucky that I missed you so much, otherwise I would be beating the shit out of you right now,” you say before taking an angry sip of your water, “I bet you Venom wouldn’t even stop me until you were on the verge of passing out.”

“That’s so not true, right V?”

Venom pops his head out at being questioned, then looks from Eddie to you. Instead of answering, Venom crawls down Eddie’s arm, over the back of the small couch, and onto your shoulder. “We would allow it Eddie. You have left (Y/N) alone for so long, they deserve retribution, “ he says, with a wry smile, laughing at Eddie’s bewildered stare.

“You know what, you’re not allowed to be alone with each other. You and the parasite might just plan to cut my dick off in the middle of the night,”

You let out a loud gasp, and cover V’s ears (if they even have them..?), “You take that back now, you heathen! Take it back, or else!”

At that same time, Venom growls out, “Parasite?! Take it back, NOW!”

“No. Or else what?” He says with a grin, believing you wouldn’t do anything.

You let go of V and slide your phone out, ready to pull out the big guns. Eddie’s smile drops a little, but doesn’t leave his face. Clicking on your contacts, you easily find the name you’re looking for, and press the call button. The other person picks up after the third ring, and begins to yell your ear off, talking about how you fell off the face of the earth.

“Hey Anne--” you begin as realization dawns on Eddie’s face. In a flash, he jumps towards you, ready to grab the phone and hang up. You spin out of his way, and continue the conversation, “--I was just calling to tell you--” you leap to the side, place the phone on speaker, and use your strength to keep Eddie at arms length, “--that I’m gonna be staying with Eddie for a few days, maybe a little longer. I just want us to catch up sometime before I leave.”

Allowing Anne to respond, and finishing the conversation with her, you hang up and throw a shit eating grin Eddie’s way.

“You little sh-” He starts.

“Uh uh Brock, we wouldn’t want Anne to get involved now, would we?” The grin never leaving your face.

“Why are you here, anyway (Y/N)?” He drops himself down heavily into the couch, throwing his feet up onto the small coffee table, “I know you’re not here just to catch up.”

Before you could answer, the doorbell rang. Eddie gives you a confused look, not expecting anyone else. You give him a shrug, and hold a hand up to him, to stop him from going towards the door.

“This one smells different,” V pops up and says, then disappears back into Eddie, understanding to stay out of sight.

You hold onto the gun you have hidden at your side, and slowly move towards the door, not wanting the person on the other side to hear you. Looking through the peephole, you let go of your gun and pull the door open, throwing your arms around your girlfriend.

“Wha--well, shit love, I missed you too,” she said to you.

Daisy is good at anticipating many things, but you jumping her in the hallway of a rundown apartment building was not one of them. Although she wasn’t expecting it, she still manages to catch you, and prevents the both of you from falling.

In the midst of your endearing hug, Eddie cleared his throat, looking expectantly at you, hoping for what you guessed was an explanation.

After introducing Daisy to both Eddie and Venom, you explained the reason why you had shown up so unexpectedly. To say V was just a little insulted would have been the understatement of the year. He had nearly thrown a temper tantrum at the insinuation that he couldn’t handle a few humans, and it took everything you and Eddie had to get him relatively calm.

You tried hard to get Venom to understand the severity of the situation, the only luck coming when you managed to bribe him with the incentive of chocolate and tator tots as a celebratory dinner, afterwards.

The plan was set.

You were gonna take them out, tonight.

The information that Coulson gave you about Eddie, also included information about a nearby HYDRA base that was gonna be invaded soon. Your “team” just decided to speed up the invasion, and get Venom and Eddie in the clear.

Daisy’s SHIELD gear consisted of her black and purple catsuit, black combat boots, and her gauntlets. Since you had no powers of your own, your gear was a normal SHIELD catsuit, combat boots, and all the weapons you normally used, including your guns and knives. Eddie, unlike the two of you, only wore regular blue jeans, a plain white T, and his black leather jacket.

“Nice supersuit, dumbass,” Daisy says to Eddie, eliciting a snort from you, and a small growl from Venom.

“At least I don’t look like a damn….”

“A what? Cause I know that you don’t have anything ready to say back” Daisy has a smile that would put the Cheshire Cat to shame, and she aims it at Eddie. Before anything could happen, however, you grab their attention, and tell them that it’s time to start to move out to the warehouse.

Why is it that the bad guys are always holed up in a warehouse?

The warehouse is small, only two stories. The plan was to have Venom come in from above, while you and Daisy made your way from below, and then meet in the middle.

That was the plan you had came up with. The execution of that plan was almost nothing like you envisioned. Yes, Venom came from the roof, and you and Daisy came from the back, but there were barely any HYDRA agents in the building.

Something was definitely wrong.

“There are others” V says, looking around, then promptly looking to the floor, “under us, frightened….but more….noise?”

You strain your ears to hear what Venom was hearing, and what you heard was a low, steady beeping. Daisy looks at you at the same time you realize what the noise was.

“Bomb” you both say simultaneously.

“V, I need you to listen carefully. Those heartbeats below us, yea, they’re most likely hostages that HYDRA had taken. Good guys. You and Daisy need to get to them out of this building, while I find the bomb and deactivate it.”

“No! I’m not leaving you to the bomb alone, Venom can get them out, while--” Daisy starts to say.

“--Daisy, I love you, but it’s just one bomb,” you interrupt her. “There are multiple people that Venom is gonna need help with, please babe, just go help him. I’ll be right out behind you.”

Daisy thinks about what you said, and gives a short nod. Then she grabs the back of your neck and brings you in for a kiss, “I love you too.”

With that, they ran off to find the hostages, and you turn in search of the bomb. It takes you almost 1 full heart pounding minute to find it inside one of the crates.

0:47, not too bad, but I gotta hurry.

This would have been so much better if you actually knew how to defuse a bomb. What you did know how to do, however, was take off the faceplate just below the timer and stare, determined, at the wires underneath.

Fuck it, I’m gonna die.

The timer was now at 0:31, and you still haven’t made any progress with the interior of the bomb. Pushing into your ear, “How’s it going with the hostages?”

“We’ve got all of them together, and we’re moving away from the building….the bomb?”

“I’m working my way through the wires, I should be done before it hits 0.”

“Understood”

Before you could continue, you feel a slimey pull at your feet. Looking down, you see Venom attaching to your leg, and moving up your body. Looking behind you, you see Eddie standing there, waiting.

“The actual fuck are you doing, Brock?” Venom was moving up your body faster, and the bomb was counting down steadily, currently at 0:24.

“I know you don’t know what you’re doing, (Y/N),” Eddie says “And I also know that your girl is out there waiting for you, along with the rest of your team, it would be a real shame if you didn’t make it back to them, wouldn’t it?”

“Eddie, please, Venom can take us both out of here, right V?” Venom surprisingly stays silent at that, “Venom, please, tell Eddie that we can make it out alive, together.” Again, nothing.

“V and I have already talked this over, and this is what we agreed to. You can merge with Venom as well as I can, and now you get to be the hero, like you’ve always wanted.”

“Eddie, please don’t do this, I don’t wanna--” Venom overtakes your face before you can finish, and jumps out the window, without Eddie.

Once outside, Venom retracts into you, and you fell to your knees, tears flowing down your face. The building blew.

“Eddie!” You shout out, your mouth agape.

“Hey, Jagi- I’m heading out again, okay?” He says softly, speaking the words that spark rage in your body every night like clockwork.

“Again, Yoongi? Will I ever actually be able to go to bed with you next to me?” You spit, abruptly raising from your position on the couch and glaring at him. Yoongi gulps at the sight of the fire in your eyes, he hates this- he hates the fact that he knows that you’re slowly drifting away- no- he’s slowly drifting away; he hates those nights he has to spend doing his job, leaving you alone in the cold, empty apartment, but it’s for your own safety. If anyone knew about you, you’d not live for another minute. There were thousands of people on the search for his blood, knives tucked secretly under their shirts and a pistol shoved in their back pockets as they prowl the nightlife of the many cities inhabiting South Korea, knowing that the bright haired young man could appear any moment and they could receive their fame and vengeance.

He sighs, his soft palm caresses your chin as his dark eyes fill with nothing but adoration and admiration. No matter how cold he acts towards you sometimes, you couldn’t deny the love he has for you. Your photo hangs proudly on his wall in the dorms, he spends most of his evenings there, his days being filled with you. Even the boys know of his adoration, they see the picture hanging in his wall and ask multiple questions to which Yoongi blushes and smiles, dismissing their curious tones. The boys obviously caught on eventually, Yoongi shows emotion to nobody- not even his own parents. Nobody but Yoongi and the boys know of the true nature of his parents, them knowing even before they were recruited into the sinister world of drugs and violence. No matter how much they warm up to Yoongi, they will never be able to singe the true fear that bubbles inside of them whenever he requests for them to do a simple task in fear of doing it wrong and igniting something inside him that was supposedly put out the day his parents passed.

Every night like clockwork, a person dies- whether in the hands of Bangtan themselves, or in the hands of the enemy; every night, somebody dies. Sometimes they’re innocent, sometimes they’re not, the normal person would feel nauseous; the thought of taking someone’s life with the snap of their fingers proving to be too much- Yoongi, however, feels no remorse. Yeah, you could call him a sociopath to which he had been called many times before- however it’s not like Yoongi doesn’t feel terrible afterwards, it’s not like Yoongi doesn’t spend days thinking about the victim’s family and what happened when they received the news of their beloved; he does care, but he’s learnt not to show it- he’s learnt not to let the enemy see how much it hurts Yoongi inside to take another life, the amount of souls building up on his shoulders and weighing him down. It’s a burden he’ll never be able to shake off, a burden that will weight him down forever.

He gazed into your innocent eyes, oh how he’d wish to keep you safe forever, he’s trying- he really is- but he knows that one day, his guard will be let down for no more than a millisecond and his world will be taken for him in the hands of a guy with a gun. It’s inevitable, the amount of bounty’s he has on him- it’s almost unbelievable that he’s still alive. Hell- even he doesn’t know why he’s still alive, it’s not like he’s the most graceful person when fighting; he makes his mistakes and usually they come back to bite him in the ass- but he’s still alive, he still has you, he still has all 6 members of bangtan. He still has everything that makes Yoongi, Yoongi. All it takes is one of those things to be taken from him, to rip his facade down.

“I’ll stay tomorrow, I promise.” He lies through his teeth, his heart swelling at the sight of the grin forming on your soft complexion.

“Okay, I love you.” You say, to which Yoongi smiles and leans down for a kiss. He’s gone before you can even open your eyes.

Here you are again, the third night in a row left alone to your own accord. The clock ticking patrionizingly, reminding you of how long it is until your home returns to you. Where could he even be? You know he wouldn’t cheat, there isn’t a cheating bone in his body- you trust him enough to know that he wouldn’t even dream of cheating. He has trust issues as it is, the thought of breaking another person’s trust and going behind their back kills him more than it would kill the person he’s betraying- it also took him months to open up to you, let alone a random woman.

Is he drinking? No, you’ve been awake a few times when he’s gotten home and he never seems drunk nor smells of alcohol. What on earth could he be doing?

With that thought in mind, you pour yourself your first of many glasses of wine for the night and get comfy on the sofa, turning on Netflix and binging on whatever movies or shows you see first.

“Are you ready, Sir?” Jungkook speaks, handing the silver object over to Yoongi- the word ‘argent’ written in cursive on the barrel. Argent is Yoongi’s signature piece, every enemy that has been lost to the bullets of Min Yoongi himself have been due to the beauty that is Argent. Although beautiful, her silver glistening in the pale moonlight- Yoongi sees her as a battle symbol, something that holds memories of evil rather than good.

“Of course I am.” He says, marking his second lie of the night. Is he ever ready? Is he ever ready to take another life, innocent or not? The answer is no, but he has to and he knows he has to. Glancing at his members, Hoseok smiles reassuringly at him- to which Yoongi returns a small smile, his hand gripping the silver, turning it foggy.

“They’re heading East, Sir. Their car carries more than one bomb so if I were you, I’d try to detonate all of them before we attack anyone. We never know, all it takes us one of them to sneak off and collect one of these things and we’re all dead.” Namjoon speaks from the back of the car, this phone glowing green as he scans the enemy’s cars.

“Who are we fighting again?” Taehyung pipes up, Jimin slapping him on the arm in annoyance.

“Erebus, you dumbass- where have you been the past two months? We’ve literally been planning this since you started University.” He growls, shaking his head at the younger.

“Oh yeah I remember now, by the way- the leader knows who you are and he has ten guards that know your every feature.”

The car screeches to a halt, Yoongi’s once nervous exterior turning to deadly in a heartbeat. The entire car goes silent, the sound of Taehyuhg’s heartbeat probably being able to be heard from space.

“What did you just say?” Yoongi whispers, venom dripping off of his words as he glares at Taehyung in the rear view mirror, gripping on the steering wheel so hard his knuckles turn white.

“I-i thought it would be h-helpful,” Taehyung stutters, eyes wide with fear and his breathing turning rapid. Nobody has seen Yoongi so full with rage, images of his past flow through the 6 boys’ minds as they clutch the arm rests in fear and anticipation.

All Yoongi sees is red, he’s always had trouble with his temper but when people leave out a major detail in his projects, it sends him into overdrive. His breathing slows, the bright red that once tinted his ears and face drains down his kneck and his hands loosen.

Think of Y/N. Think of Y/N.

“It’s fine, just- remember to tell me something as important as that next time, okay?” He sighs, the boys’ jaws dropping in shock as they whiteness their leader just shoving such a mistake aside.

“Thank you so much sir,” Taehyung’s voice shakes, relief flooding his features and the others let out the breath that they held the entire time.

Flashes of light illuminate Yoongi’s face as all that can be seen out of the windows is green and concrete, the faint outline of the city barely visible in the moonlight. Calming, a contrast to the nerves bundling inside of yoongi’s stomach- a ritual that happens almost every night for him. Again, no matter how many times he repeats the process of kill and run, he’ll never get used to the rush of guilt and sound of screams that haunt him every second of every day.

Pulling into park, the gray concrete building seems fitting for such an act, almost a representation of the emotions Yoongi feels. The cool air hits them in the face as they step outside, weapons on hand and pulses sky high.

“Are you ready, Sir?” Yoongi turns to the youngest, Jungkook’s eyes wide with fear as they are every night. Although he’s the groups strongest, the kid is barely ready for this sort of stuff- however, the boys needs all the help they need. The 7 to 12 ratio of the rival gangs isn’t the most convenient, but Bangtan having an advantage as every single member is exceptionally skilled in every aspect of combat- the rival group only having half of the members skilled as much as Bangtan.

“As ready as I’ll ever be,” Yoongi replies, grabbing his shotgun and giving the signal to the other members.

It’s now or never.

Tinder, anyone?

To be honest, this is my very first blog in 22 years of my life time so excuse me if i don't really put these words in quite a shape. Anyway, first of all, as a human kind, we do need to interact with other people too. Nowadays, it's not that difficult to interact with other people. I, as a 90's kid, went through friendster, which you can't find nowadays (of course, it's no longer exist). And now, in this era, we can easily download some 'cool' social medias on our smartphone (you should also be smart too to operate this kind of phone) such as facebook, twitter, instagram, and other things too. As you single people, i believe you also need a bit of romance within you. And, i'm pretty sure that tinder is a pretty happening dating app for the past years. Some of us use it as a media to interact with other people to estabilish friendship or some of us also use it a slot to initiate some dates (of course!). As a 90's kid, I went through it all (well mostly, I'm not that old just yet). The thing is, yes i did use tinder for both friendship and dates (or companionship). There were time where i found that tinder was pretty delightful and also dull. Swiping people could also be both but sometimes you can only use it temporarily. Well, i tell you what, that sucks. You can't really go for real dates (if you know what i mean). People told me "what can you expect on tinder? there's just bunch of either lonely or miserable people". I found it quite offensive so i thought that i would prefer not telling anyone about tinder because well that'd be embarassing. So as a girl who had been living in a 'student city', I met this guy that i dreamt of for quite a long time but the thing is, he was an exchange student. So we dated for about 5 months or so and went through a long distance kind of thing for about 7 months until we really broke up for good but yea it was mostly an on and off relationship. The thing is, i was quite a teenager girl back then who finally fell in love for once with a dream guy then when it didn't work, I cried, like disgustingly a lot! So it took me a while to be able to see someone else. And the one thing I tried to meet guys was (drum roll please...) Tinder! Ta-da! (duh obviously). But yes, what i learned was guys can be disgusting and charming at the same time but seriously, they can be the weirdest human on the entire planet. Until one time... I matched with this guy. Another European. But (i really hope) different story. This guy was on his way with his friend to my city from the Indonesia's capital city. He seemed pretty cool and light in convos. We then texted and we decided to go out. So there i was, picking him up from his hotel. He looked a bit weird when i saw him the first time. He was all so dressed up and he was wearing a Polo (like...seriously?). So yes, there we were, having talk and laugh (trust me, the way he looks doesn't really signify his sense of humor). Then it just flew just like the water streams. At first, he and his friend planned to stay for a few days then they extended it for a few days more. I would be lying if I said that I didn't like his companionship because I just enjoyed every single time that we spent. Then he left for another trips. Reality came back. Until he said that he was going to this big huge popular tourist island in the world, even Julia Roberts had been there. Then I was thinking that it might be a really good chance to see him again. But as a girl, I couldn't just do it right away for someone you met out of nowhere. Then I got an offer from a friend to 'escort' her to her meeting. Then I let him know about it. I couldn't tell honestly whether he was happy or just confused because at the same time, another female friend of him wanted to visit him (and apparently wanted to stay at the same place too). Well I mean, I would've understood this girl's move because he liked him (duh..obviously). At some certain point, I got really annoyed by this and I had a certain reason for it. He said that he enjoyed spending time with me but in the other hand, this other girl made a move to see him all the way. But you see, I made a very first big gesture for him, and the rest of the story about this girl is a big unimportant thing for me. Then we went for traveling a bit and explored the island. I couldn't tell how happy I was to have him on my side. But time had to separate us. He finally had to fly back and there I was (again..). I tell you what, not seeing someone for a while is just a big hit on your face when you finally have your 'comfort zone'. Everything except distance, was a hole new favorite to me. Time passed by. We could only talk via Messenger applications. I could tell that no matter how bad your day was, when it comes to missing someone, nothing could ever feel that bad. Pains heal through calls, late night talk, and dreams. I finally saw him 11 months after the last time I saw him on November 2016. I swear to God, my heart couldn't stop beating so fast and I tell you what, I blamed it all on him. I mean, it's an other moment I had ever been waiting for. There he was. Freshly in my mind, how warm he was when I hugged him so gently. And so on, he spent another 3 weeks with me. It was never more than enough time compare to the period we had to spent apart, but it was never felt that right as he was next to me. Certainly, there were arguments and fights happened but above all, my heart could never lie. He stole it to the deepest core that i never thought of. Knowing it would not work with the distance, I set up an other ideal step to work on 'impossible' thing and overcome the distance. But it just hurts when someone you long for, couldn't appreciate your existance and still willing to talk or might consider to date someone else. Yes, I told him the truth. How he made me fall. He couldn't say anything about it, which was acceptable. Lesson for we all, never ask someone to overcome your obstacles when you know you still can't prove how much they matter in your life by dropping their bad behavior. But I loved him, dearly. And I know, if I obstinately keep him and overcome our real obstacles, it would hurt him more. Although, the imagination on spending more time and cherish moments with him, would be making me the luckiest person in the world. You know, I was really looking forward to having dinner with his parents and my family too. But, people say that if you love someone, you would not have the courage to hurt them. I decided to let him go for good, knowing he'd be happier without me. Well, we all know, some people come in your life as a lesson or just take a side and fight for you. Ik had nooit de bedoeling je pijn te doen, maar ik kan er niets aan doen dat ik niet gewond raak vanwege wat je me hebt aangedaan, ik weet eindelijk hoe het voelt om helemaal kapot te zijn.. I promise you, you were the one and only wind-breeze that i can never dislike.

CANTLON: PACK LOSE IN A SHOOTOUT TO LAVAL

BY: Gerry Cantlon, Howlings LAVAL, QUEBEC - After a truly hard fought 65 minutes of Sunday afternoon hockey, the Hartford Wolf Pack saw Alex Belizle scoring the lone goal in the shootout to give the Laval Rocket a 2-1 win. Belizle used a delayed toe drag and then flipped a backhander past Wolf Pack netminder, Adam Huska. Ice bags would be necessary for both teams in this highly physical contest that took nearly three hours to play. The third period saw the two teams push hard to score the second goal. The Wolf Pack thought they had a game winning goal when defenseman, Mason Geersten, was in front of the net only to have his first shot stopped by Cayden Primeau. On his second chance, Geersten was knocked into Primeau by Laval’s Antoine Waked with 8:16 left. The red light was on and the Wolf Pack were celebrating, but a little prematurely as the referees and lineman consulted and waved off the goal for a crease violation. They looked at the video board showing a replay and denied Geersten the game winner and what would have been a, "Gordie Howe Hat Trick." Wolf Pack head coach, Kris Knoblauch, raced down the bench screaming at the officials Connor O’Donnell, and Carter Sandlak. He was very unhappy with their decision when asked about it in the post game. “’We thought we had scored the go-ahead goal. The arena puts the replay on the screen (video board), which they are not allowed to do (when its under review). The referees are looking at that replay, so they changed their minds. "I’m very frustrated. We worked so hard, and played so hard, to have it taken away like that,” Knoblauch said while doing his best to contain himself. When asked if a notice would be sent by the team to the league, Knoblauch replied, “The league has already commented on it, that it was the wrong play (call) very simply, they (the officials) messed up." Geersten had a jagged Zorro-like cut on his nose and was a bear on his skates as he made his presence felt all night. He was stoic about the events as he headed for post game medical treatment. “They're a quick, fast team out there. It was a pretty physical, chippy game. I really thought I had it there,” He said. The defensive duo of Geersten and Joey Keane were excellent from the start of the game and on both ends of the ice. “They were both so good out there all night. Defensively, being physical, and offensively they were solid. Geersten obviously has the reputation of being a physical defenseman. (Joey) Keane doesn’t get enough recognition for his play as a physical defenseman. He’s always giving his body laying it down out there and finishing his checks. Those two were just outstanding.” After a long stretch with the Wolf Pack tightening the defensive screws, Huska came up with a ten-bell-ringer save on Jake Evans. Huska was ready as Evans was in the right wing circle and dove forward and getting a piece of the shot with just 1:12 remaining in regulation. “I was just lucky there. I threw myself out there,” Huska said with a Cheshire cat smile. It was a skill move by the humble rookie goalie to make that stop. At the start of the second period, the Pack continued their late first period progress and tied the game just 49 seconds into the second frame. Keane was at the right point and took his defensive partner's pass and just sent it on net where it eluded Primeau, who was screened by Matt Beleskey. Happy New Years

Happy New Years! I know it's over a week since New Years, but I write this since then.

Today, I want to post something that I should've said sooner. I haven't made progress posts for a while. I recently had worked for someone indirectly to make a model for a company. It's a way to get attention to get jobs easier. Job is more important in life, and that's why I haven't post much since November, including Yuki's Story. Let's breakdown about 2018.

I did move to a better place in the middle of the year, and I did continue to make videos. However, from April to May, I didn't know when we will be moving, so I was holding off some prodution of my videos, but I did Yuki's Story MMD instead. At June, it was marked for moving, so I didn't post anything ever since Ash's Vacation. At late July, I thought of an idea to make a short Iris video, by using clips from All That! Season 7-8 with the morning scene. It did took less than a week. I did behind the scenes for my two videos this year. Last Year, exactly, I was in the middle of the first quarter of Ash's Vacation. It was way long. At early March, I finally finished it. At mid June, despite nearly getting ready to move out, I finally finished the script for Miraculous Ladybug Dreams, and that's when I started my own pre-production layout pass. At August, I started the real thing, and it did took nearly a month to finish. I am kinda goad that I made MMD videos for other shows at least. I did randomness 9 after that. My last video, Iris's Christmas Rage, it was a quick progress actually, sort of. I was gonna do the big Iris video before that, but I had stuffs to do in life, and I do want to put something related to Iris. I did make a script for the Christmas and made it shorter than the aforementioned big one, but it didn't have enough time to make it to Christmas. I had an idea from Rugrats clips and use Angelica Pickles's dialogues for Iris since they both are evil and bratty. That video is short, but it did took me less than a week from scratch, and right on time in Christmas Eve! That was the whole thing in 2018.

I'll explain about what I should've done or learned from. I've learned that doing animations alone without the help of the programs would take too long. That's why two videos took long to produce. Ash's Vacation and Miraculous Dreams. The first did take three months for doing shot by shot VR like, but it looked pretty good. The latter seems challenging when it comes to animation. I had many models to animate on screen at some scenes. I had to animate the stuffs in the background. It looked good, but I'm thinking about how long it took to make those videos, and what the intended length should be. Longer videos will take more longer. Ten minutes seems good, but the length is usually over a month, especially if many models are on screen. I did use motion and pose data's to give them walking and reacting animation. The thing is, I have to either find more or make more myself to choose automated reaction to cut some production time. Reason why I am discussing about this is because I wanted to put more amount of videos. Granted, I had things to do in life, but making the videos, you need to learn how to do certain shortcuts without ruining the quality of the video on animation or story pace. Short videos that I've done like Iris scares All That casts and Christmas Rage were some ideas in the same week that takes less than seven days. They are less than two minutes, and I've learned that there is a way to make the production more efficient. I've learned how to use the program, MMD AnimationSmoother, to make the animated character have better animation automatically. I had to do base animation before a smoother one is generated. I did use it on Randomness 9, and they do look better and natural. I've learned how to use it. I just had to exclude certain bones that I don't want to get smoothed like the position IK or master bone. Also, I sometimes must only select the parts where I want the character's animation to be smooth at. Since it's automated, it can create some errors or weird animation, but I mastered it. So the base animation can be done slightly less when you are able to get more realistic animated bones automatically. One thing I forgot to mention. During Spring, I was waiting because I didn't know when I was moving, but I've learned something. If there is some trip or if you are not sure if making the next video will hang the production time, I could do randomness since each clips aren't long to produce. Just learn that if you are not sure or of you have short time, but you want to finish something, start with the small clips first. That way, you will be happy that you already did them to save time.

As I mentioned about computer generated programs like AnimationSmoother, I do want to find better motion data or poses to use on the characters. I also need to make my own to have more list of motion data to use at the appropriate scene. Animate the expressions on the base model. Animate the surprise, the scared, the laugh, and yelling. Doing more of that would help me make the progress be done more quicker. Also, I gotta thing the appropriate length of the video too. This is why learning is important.

Now that I put my ideas down, I do want to do something better in 2019. I do want to put more amount of videos, including Iris videos and randomness, as well as making MMDs of other shows. I did have more ideas this year. I want to do the 10th anniversary of iCarly Parody as Pokemon, and a certain video I plan to do. I am excited to make more videos this year. I also want to finish Yuki's Story MMD Season 1, and finish the journal series this year. I did say last year that Yuki's Story journals would be finished in 2018, but I am giving it another year to last. I didn't have time to do the ONA as said because I was learning things for my career. It's better to learn first before doing the actual production. Season 2 seems like it would last longer than a year, but I do plan to keep that up to date. The journals should return in production now, and MMD's Chapter 13 has already begun. 2019 may be the most exciting year for my content.

So what is up now? I'm doing the 3d modelling for someone. That way, I can learn better of how to make models. I know there is VDroid to create anime 3D characters. It's in beta right now. I decide to do something better from scratch on models. I am training myself to make different kinds of model parts, thanks to that job. The next Iris video should be out next month for the better. Right now, I am experimenting with GAN based upscalers that has been trending for upscaling textures. ESRGAN got much more attention since last month, and it is good to upscale your model's textures, but we may wait for better ESRGAN models to do them correctly. I'm learning a lot of things. I did post Miraculous Ladybug Quality Analysis few days ago on Tumblr and explained that it's rendered at 720p 24fps.

This afternoon, I was at a gas station and I backed my 2003 Pontiac mini van into a concrete barrier very hard. Life was never really easy when you were Chief Hopper’s daughter. Everyone knew everything about everyone in Hawkins. Alone time was hard to come by, because it always seemed like your dad had a “very important” case, even though both of you knew that nothing ever happened in the town of Hawkins, Indiana.

You had never really considered yourself pretty. Sure, the townspeople would comment on “how nice the chief’s daughter looked” , but they have to say that about you. After all, pissing off Hopper was never a good idea for anyone, and nothing made him madder than people insulting his little girl.

Considering all the odds stacked against you, it must’ve been some sort of miracle that Steve Harrington had asked you out. In fact, when he did ask to take you to dinner, you simply laughed in his face, told him that that was a pretty funny dare, and had started to walk away. It was only when he grabbed your wrist, his slightly crooked smile creeping up, that he said “I’m serious. Tonight. 7.”

Now 6 months later, you still felt the butterflies that he had set free in your gut every time he looked your way. One day, after your chemistry class, he was leaning up against your locker. It was weird, because Steve always waited for you outside school in his car to drive you home. His eagerness definitely meant that something was up.

“What is it this time, Harrington?” You asked, slightly cocking your head to the side and placing a hand on your hip. In a slightly sarcastic tone, you ask: “Have you gone and pissed off Billy Hargrove again?”. Steve simply looked at you with that adventurous look in his eyes. “Come on, you know that Billy Hargrove could never amount to Steve the King!” he exclaimed, picking you up and spinning you around. Dusting off your skirt, you mutter: “Ya, the King of Morons”, smiling.

“I’ve got an idea” He whispered to you. His tone definitely meant that he was looking for trouble. “Steve, if you force me to go ANOTHER one of Dustin Henderson’s Dungeons and Dragons Strategy Meeting, I will kill you.” you say, taking on a serious tone. “Nah, Strategy Meetings always happen on Thursdays, I thought you liked- I’m getting off topic. We are going to hang out at your place tonight.” He said, grinning in the way he always does when he proposes something slightly stupid. “Oh, cool, so you want to get us both killed. Great, sounds great.” You said, turning around and beginning to walk away.

“Come onnnn, I know for a fact that your dad won’t be home until late” He pleaded. “How could you possibly know that?” You asked, turning back around. “I may or may not have told Dustin to send Hopper on a wild goose chase for his cat.” Steve softly said. “Oh jeez, you dragged poor Dustin into this? How long have you been planning this?” You asked, suspicious of how well he had executed his plot. “I just thought it might be nice to get some time alone. Please? We can watch your favourite movie. I’ll make us popcorn. It will be nice. I promise.” Steve begged. You sighed, tucked a stray hair behind your ear, and gave in. “Fine, but only if you’re gone by 10, I really do have to study”. “Of course” He said.

When the two of you got to your house, you took a moment to relish how beautiful it was when it wasn’t full of the sounds of soap operas playing on the TV. Overlooking the water, the soothing smell of home filled your lungs. You both walked in, and decided that a fire might be nice to warm up the cold house.

As Steve put the popcorn into the microwave, you sprawled yourself onto the nearby couch. After closing the microwave and setting the timer, he sat to join you. As the two of you sat on the couch in front of the fireplace, you talked and giggled. You felt Steve’s arm pull you in, and he planted a soft kiss on your cheek. “This is nice, this is really nice.” He nuzzled in closer to you.

“What the hell is going on here?” A booming voice exclaimed. You wince at the all-too-familiar phrase. A phrase that you had heard hundreds of times since childhood.

Dad.

Steve suddenly retracted his arm, jumping away from you as he began to break out into a nervous sweat. “Oh, h-hi, Chief, um, Chief Hopper, I- I didn’t think you w-would...” he began. “You didn’t think I would... what? Be in my own house? How long did you think it would take for me to get Dustin Henderson to confess?” Hopper said. Steve only shifted in his seat, too startled to say anything.

Your dad maintained the eye contact between him and Steve for a few more seconds, then broke out into laughter. “Everyone knows that the best way to distract me is with a cigarette and a drink at the bar. Come on, it’s common knowledge, Harrington” he chuckled. Steve, who began to realize that he wasn’t going to die today, began to nervously laugh as well. “Ya, well, that was kind of a dumb move on my part, I just wanted-” he began, “Yes, I know, I was once a teenager too, I know you guys cherish your time alone. How ‘bout just asking me next time?” He said, beginning to exit the toom. “Yes, Chief. Of course, Chief. Sorry, Chief.” He shook his head, startled that the Chief had not at least kicked him out.

“That went, SO MUCH better than expected” you exclaimed to him. “It really, really did. I’m still kind of shocked” he replied. The two of you stole a glance, sighed, and sat in comfortable silence while the fire continued to roar.

“Anyway, where were we?” said Steve, pulling you in, just as the timer for the microwaved popcorn went off. Steve jumped up, then sighed angrily as he put his head in his hands, “Oh, give me a break. Can I just put my arm around my girlfriend without being scared half to death?”

It’s a rant...and i absolutely hate you tumblr app bc i had to redue this twice now! >:(

Anyway, I’m used to being ignored. Everyone around me since i was little to being a young adult now has left me to own thoughts and corner in my home since forever. Though i am partially to blame being an introvert and an absolutely horrible friend in keeping contact with friends online, I mostly do so if i feel no one wants to hear, see, speak, or look at me. I will personally disappear and hide myself bc i feel it will make others happy if i wasnt around. As if i didn’t exist. True, not everyone in your life will be around forever and true, being oneself is your greatest friend. But, as shy or quiet as i am, I love being around other ppl. I dont want to be around ppl 24/7 but i do want to connect with ppl i feel can appreciate me at my fullest and without feeling like im weird or the odd ball that doesnt belong.

With that being said, I may be USED to it but i ABSOLUTELY HATE IT. As any human being would of coarse and a lot of ppl have it worse dont get me wrong. Making this rant already makes me feel selfish and in need of pity which isnt why im writing this. Simply put i want to push this anger out of me and get it out of my system bc i feel i cant move forward until i do so. And when it comes to my problems i suck at communicating it to others bc i feel they have much more important things to be doing then to babysit someone who is feeling down (but id drop everything to listen to others sadness bc i care way too much).

I hate feeling like i did back when i lived in my hometown. Very lonely and sad. Constantly crying. I wouldn’t do anything all summer but cry in my room bc of how alone i felt. And i gave a very important part of me away just to make sure i had at least one person hanging around. I regret it very much but my efforts to hang out with the friends i saw at school outside of school would be very close to zero. Everyone is either busy or just low key didnt want to hang out with me. Tho i was lucky to have at least one friend I would see more in certain grades, it wasnt constant. And once all the drama with my nuclear family subsided, i was much more alone in the house than before middle school.

I didnt have a cellphone or home phone, no internet either till i moved and started high school. The things that kept me going usually was my writing, music, and cartoons. Seriously being serious here. The way Id touch base with any of my school friends was to walk to their house and be lucky if they had time or were home. When i moved i had so much hope that Id find ppl to share and spend time with. Not only that but i was in the real world and no longer stuck in a house like a prisoner or place for that matter. But like stupid ppl or racists, the same ppl pop up everywhere as well as the loneliness i was hoping to leave behind. Only it came in a new form: even when im around others. I am/was happier here tho. No longer confined in my hometown house. But recently it feels like i am. This summer has been my loneliest since the move and the feeling like no one cares about me at all have all come back at my lowest and most crucial decision making time of my life. Not being in school this semester/school year is hitting me hard and no job call backs for a whole month now either.

Partially my fault tho. The new friend crew ive been spending time with have been ignoring anything i said in the group chat. Id be skipped over and lately it feels as if im just upsetting certain ppl and end up talking about me behind my back. Really nothing new but I’ve just had enough of it. Like always I distanced myself and stopped talking all together. I’ve been more political upset in recent days due to certain issues on twitter but I’ve only been talking to my boyfriend and my mother. In hindsight tho, they really are my best friends. They are here for me at my highest and lowest no matter how many times i cry or how suddenly i get upset or frustrated. They are the ones to accept me for who i am. No one else has done this to the extent as they have and really thats all i need. Even if i dont get any other long term friends i dont care bc i know they will be by my side till the end.

But I also want to say that if you didnt want to be my friend in the first place or you wanted me to initiate the conversation first then u should at least comment back at what im saying. If i said something dumb or something that didnt add to the convo then tell me dont just ignore me like im stupid. I refuse to be your “friend” that you only want around to be made fun of. I’ve been through a lot and yes ik u have your share of problems but if your going to only look at yourself and care about yourself then i dont need you. Im good without having that in my life. Ive had my fill of people who act like that to me. And im also tired of people who dont care about others and present issues. I CRY ABOUT PPL I DONT KNOW THAT ARE ON THE NEWS WHETHER NAMED OR NOT. HELL I CRY EVEN IF THEY ARENT ON THE NEWS! There are soooo many ppl who have it way worse than myself who suffer daily and im sick of hearing ppl dont care about the ppl and situations around them! I wont sit here making an excuse as to why i cant help its the same old issues no money (no job as mentioned above) hell even no car but that doesnt matter. I still pray! I pray for safety of others and i pray that ppl will be alright and i pray that things will get better! And also mentioned earlier, ive been reposting about current issues on twitter! This is small but i want to try!

So please if you had no intentions of sticking around me at any of my current moods, dont appreciate the person i am, or relatively dont give a fuck then dont involve yourself in my life. Yes it hurts to be alone but Id rather have that and be alone then FEEL ALONE WITH PPL IVE COME TO CARE FOR! Also, if I have helped you through thick n thin and you think u can pop into my life whenever you feel like it only to stop talking to me or purposely upset me and even threaten me? GTFO of my life and dont come back! Ever (yes this is about a certain friend who moved away and i helped not commit suicide that im holding a grudge at)! And if you honestly are going to get upset at the actions ive done and say you do good things when you have zero sign of love for others in your hearts, live in a bubble of your own world, and follow the bible “word for word” get out of my face too bc i dont need ppl who say they are here to help others only to shun me if i dont constantly keep verses in my head or do things the way you want them to be and to have me fight my own demons while going against your beliefs and saying that im not doing what im supposed to (yes this is about church)! I DO THINGS AND CARE WAY MORE THAN YOU DO TRUST ME AND THIS IS THE ONLY TIME IM EVER GOING TO SELFISHLY SAY SO BC ITS BETTER TO BE HUMBLE AND NOT ARROGANT. I TRY SO HARD NOT TO JUDGE YOU YET YOU GET TO JUDGE ME? NO I DONT THINK SO YOU SHOULD START AT LEVEL ONE AGAIN AND LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE! (still about church not friends here). Also dont worry about the level one thing; you would know what this means if you went to the same church.

I’ve been couping with the idea that all i need is two friends. I’m so grateful and blessed to have them in my life and if im truly meant to have more than it will be so. I know two others of whom i need to apologize for hardly emailing or sending a message to. I feel so bad i have neglected them only bc ive been feeling so down about this and other issues (like before: school, no job/car, possibly changing career and life goals, etc) but really is no excuse. Welp I’ve said all i wanted to say for the moment. There is another topic i wish to vent about but it will have to be for another day bc i have no energy to complain about that topic. If anyone read all this im sorry i took time out of your day and that I hope you are doing well. I hope you continue to live your life to the fullest and to celebrate the good things not the bad that comes along. I just really needed to vent these emotions so i can finally concentrate on what i need to do. Thank you for listening <3
