Haarlem is een integraal kind centrum (IKC) voor gespecialiseerd onderwijs rijker en presenteert vandaag haar nieuwe naam: IKC Schoterbos. De naam verwijst naar de plek van het IKC; de verschillende locaties zijn gesitueerd rondom het Schoterbos. Het is een IKC voor kinderen die binnen het regulier onderwijs niet genoeg ondersteund kunnen worden op het gebied van leren of sociaal-emotionele ontwikkeling. Sinds vorig schooljaar vormen de Prof. Dr. Gunningschool (speciaal onderwijs) en SBO-school de Trapeze een IKC, onder de werktitel ‘IKC Haarlem Noord'. Nu dit IKC gedurende het afgelopen jaar meer vorm heeft gekregen, is het tijd voor de nieuwe naam. Samen met Levvel werkt het IKC Schoterbos aan een toekomstgericht en geïntegreerd aanbod van zorg en onderwijs. Ook opvang zit daarbij in het pakket; Hero verzorgt de inpandige gespecialiseerde opvang voor beide locaties. Feestelijk moment De wethouder onderwijs, drs. Bas van Leeuwen, verbindt vandaag in een feestelijke sfeer de scholen symbolisch aan elkaar. Alle kinderen van het IKC hebben deze week samengewerkt aan een gehaakt touw van maar liefst 900 meter lang, om de afstand tussen de scholen door het park te overbruggen. Dát touw wordt door de wethouder in een mooie strik aan elkaar verbonden. Kinderen centraal De kinderen staan centraal bij deze opening; zij hebben deze week verschillende workshops gehad van graffiti art tot freerunning. Tijdens de opening laten zij graag zien wat zij hebben gemaakt, waar ze trots op zijn, en hoe zij samen leren en samen werken op hun school. Alle mensen uit het Haarlemse onderwijs zijn daarbij welkom. Want samenwerken en samen nieuwe vormen vinden om de kinderen optimaal te ondersteunen in hun ontwikkeling, daar draait het om op IKC Schoterbos.

I guess I'm questioning if I'm agender. I'm not really sure I feel gender. I don't really feel gender euphoria or gender dysphoria for anything. When ask a lot of cis people say they don't feel gender and I took that at face value, but I don't really think I believe that anymore. Cis people still get really annoyed when you mis-gender them,and a lot of them do things like buying color coded bleach for gender gender affirmation. I know I don't really care if I'm mis-gendered and I have told people IKC what pronouns they use for me. I'm also ace and when Canton Winer posted about gender detachment, I felt seen by that at the time. IDK but I feel like gender is probally whatever feelings causes people to act gendered, and I don't really feel driven to.

Interesting. That's not how I feel, but everyone's experiences are different. If that's how you feel, that's completely valid. It does sound like you might be agender. Either that or you're gender neutral. It's nice to hear about someone else's experience, and I wish you luck.
