Ragatha’s kindness to Jax is gonna be her downfall.

Yes she doesn’t like him (both bc he’s a bully and he reminds her of her own repressed emotions) but she’s still nice to him, hanging out and stuff.

Jax hasn’t taken advantage of this. Yes he pulls pranks but theres a certain line he doesn’t cross (like how he was willing to play softball, check on Kaufmo, hang out normally in between adventures, etc).

Why? Because once he crosses that line (intentionally or not) he knows Ragatha will tear him a new one (argument scene).

But I think that in the coming episodes, something will happen that’ll cause Jax to go a step too far. Its implied he has issues with his masculinity (being really hard on the girls, calling himself the ‘pinnacle of masculinity’ in official art), and has heavily repressed certain emotions so as to not be seen as ‘cringe’.

Well what could be more ‘cringe’ and ‘emasculating’ than doing what a woman says? Especially someone as ‘soft’ as Ragatha?

We know theres going to be a softball/baseball adventure, and that Ragatha is fairly experienced in the sport. And she views herself as a very responsible person (being bitter that Gangle got to take charge in an adventure over her as revealed by the stupid sauce). Ragatha would be a perfect choice for a leader in this adventure.

Remember, up until episode 4, Jax has been the de facto leader of the adventures (designating who does what in ep 1, manipulating the Fudge and Gangle in ep 2, leading the ‘hold breath’ thing in Ep 3, vacuuming up the NPC ghost, using gangles mask to tell which door is which, and whatever he pulled to get tied up).

When Gangle is put charge, he doesn’t take it well. He tries to seize back control by trying to trigger Gangle, only to make things worse. Soon he becomes a shell of his former self.

And this is just from losing control in one adventure. Who knows how he’d react if it happened again? Especially if it was someone like Ragatha who had that precious control?

Who knows how far he’d go to get it back?

He might just break something.
