Okay so we did end up getting a birthday post (I’ve never been more thrilled to be wrong about something!), but I definitely have seen some discourse about Mapi and Ingrid becoming a little bit more private on social media. Not a whole ton, obviously they still post each other quite a bit (I haven’t really noticed a difference to be honest), but I have seen some people discussing it for some reason.

I think it feeds into a bigger discourse of footballers and the line between their private versus public lives, and where fans fit into that.

Mapi and Ingrid both have been very open in the past, but they are both getting more famous. And with more fame, comes more online abuse and just overall more dialogue about their lives and choices. Perhaps they just want to live their lives as they please, without having to appease or perform on social media, or be subjected to any sort of abuse/homophobia/whatever it is. Everyone has their limits.

I think it’s important for people to remember that these are real people, with real lives, and we cannot grow so attached to people or the idea of a person in our mind that we aren’t still respectful of their boundaries. I probably sound like a huge hypocrite saying this, but as much as I enjoy writing about these women, I don’t find myself in any sort of like para-social relationships with them, and I caution anyone against growing so invested. When I write about them, I’m not attempting to write about real people, but more along the lines of a character that is based off of that person (utilizing the fact that my audience already understands the characters and often the setting, and I don’t have to do that myself). Thats one of the reasons that fanfiction can be so enjoyable for people to write and read, is this idea that it’s easier to understand because both the author and audience already have an idea of the world/people/setting, and the author doesn’t have to spend the time and word count setting that up. It’s not that writing about these people is us trying to invade their lives or change history, but rather utilize our own creativity to think of our own stories. No writer, including myself, should ever claim in this sphere of writing to be writing the truth, because we don’t know these people!

I know there has been a lot of discussion on invasions of privacy, and I might get some push back on this but I figured I would state my own thoughts. People are more than allowed to disagree, I think there’s room for healthy discussion without being cruel toward one another:

I don’t see that big of a problem with writing about or discussing football and footballers on platforms like Tumblr and ao3, where the chances for these people to actually view what is being discussed is very, very low. In my mind, players would at that point be seeking out that information, and that is their choice and within their boundaries to do or not do, as they see fit. People are naturally curious, they have questions and want to connect with others about things they enjoy, and I see platforms like Tumblr and ao3 as a way to do so. People can learn, discuss, debate, etc with the freedom that these players are not on the platform, and will therefore not see what they are saying. I think it’s healthier that way, for all involved, to have a level of disconnect. I do think there are still lines to be drawn on these apps, I’m not saying it’s a free for all, but I tend to be more forgiving of potential mistakes or more risqué posts because I doubt that these people will ever see them.

I personally see a much larger problem being had on platforms like Instagram and Twitter and TikTok, with heavy amounts of abuse and overly harsh criticism about honestly all aspects of their lives. There is a difference between discussion and constructive criticism and bashing someone, or being abusive. Players see these things, we clearly know this, they are people too with feelings and bad days and people need to respect that and have some empathy. I find fault with Tumblr posts when someone on twitter/instagram/tiktok pulls a post and put it on one of those platforms. Why people would do that and open players up to seeing these things is beyond me, and feels disrespectful to all parties involved honestly.

I also see a lot of issues on those apps with invasion of privacy. My take on the issue has always been if a player has posted something, that is public knowledge that is allowed to be consumed, because they have made the choice to post and share that with the world. There’s a difference between scrolling back a few years to find a funny picture of a player when she was younger on her instagram page and ending up on her aunts friends Facebook page, digging up pictures from 2012 to use in some facet. Or taking something that someone has since deleted, or somehow getting a photo from a private account that might be a personal photo. There’s a line, and sure, it might fluctuate a little depending on the person because we all were raised differently and have different boundaries, but I still believe there is still a universal level of respect that can be upheld. We are not entitled to anything, the fact that we get to engage with these women and learn about their lives is a PRIVILEGE, and not a RIGHT. I think people often forget this.

Anyways, this got very long and waxy, which I apologize for. I’m sure I’ll get some pushback for this, because everyone feels a little differently on the subject, but this is simply where I stand. People are welcome to disagree and discuss as long as it is done so respectfully!

one rayne, two raynes, three raynes. and another rayne if you're counting finn to look similar to rayne. one twin looks exactly like his father, with half yellow and half black hair split in the center. his lines the same as rayne, both streaks that runs down his eyes. demeanor like his father's— serious, calm, and collected.

what about the other twin? he is exactly the same like his father. well, not really. he has the colour of your hair and a different type of line design. this twin is on the weaker side, seeing how he only has a single line that runs across his nose. just like you, with a single line. being the weaker twin, he was softer than his elder twin brother, often helping around town or anyone at all.

today rayne is all alone with his sons, as his wife had to visit her family's business to help around, so she left the boys with him. rayne is a busy divine visionary, he couldn't just leave his sons alone. so he brought them to his office. what a surprise, his brother's friends are all there. and rayne's eyes twitched at the chaos that is about to happen.

finn is the first one who greets them, for he is their uncle. being the loving and nice uncle finn is, he often spoils them and doesn't know when to stop. like always, he gave both the twins a candy each, ruffling with their head.

mash who has never seen rayne's children before, is fascinated by the fact that there are two other little raynes. one the exact copy, the other immediately reminding him of you. he doesn't know whether to continue feeling fascinated or to feel fear since there is a mini rayne in town now. what if mini rayne is as powerful as his dad?

lance who had no reaction to them at all. he already saw them, already met them, and already knew them long ago. in fact, the older twin quite likes lance. he sees lance as an icy and cool idol to admire.

dot who keeps the kids if they want tips on how to get a girlfriend and only the younger ames listens, for the elder one immediately finds dot annoying. the younger one is just curious on what the meaning of 'girlfriend' is, before lemon pushes dot away and apologised to the younger ames.

lemon who tells the twins not to mind dot, for he still hasn't find a girlfriend after years of being single. she tells them not to worry as they are still young and instead, gives them the cream puffs she has made for mash which ended up being way too much.

and rayne, who sighs and shakes his head at the growing trouble that he could smell from afar. seeing the piles of paper stacked on his table, he has no choice but to ask the help of the mashle friends to look after his kids. he could trust finn, but he doesn't trust the others. so he purposely gave the task to finn, but everyone else took it as an invitation to babysit two little raynes.

rayne will make sure to complain to his wife when she comes back home.

HSR spoiler talk ahead

I think this is a popular theory, where we are in a timeloop dream in Penacony, and upon a re-watch im starting to think it's true.

Some moments that stand out to me are when we first arrive in Penacony and meet Acheron, where she seems to recognize us. We also have a series of images flash on screen that might be what we've experienced before. That being said, I don't think the Acheron we interact with throughout the story is anymore aware of a loop than we are, this moment felt like a slice out of time.

Another moment is when we're tracing Firefly's footsteps and in the tv room, she says she wants to try again. I wouldn't have given it much thought had Acheron not drawn more attention to it. She also seemed more attached to us than what a day would allow but thats my own view.

What really kinda sealed it for me was when we met Aventurine at the end. When we were walking down the hallway, he said it was a familiar hallway to a familiar room and says he remembers the little game we played. The way it's phrased makes it seem like he's just talking about our meeting at the beginning of the game when he gives us his room but he says "I finally remember". I think that memory he was referring to was that but now it seems so far away since he did indeed remember everything. To us, we met him a day ago. Maybe with his memories back, it's been much longer.

There are other things that I'm absolutely missing but these were three key moments for me. There's just some little stuff that seems to allude to reversing time, such as clockie and the clockwork powers. And there's definitely something going on with Misha, and I bet we've had a closer relationship with Robin at some point.

Whether it's the Watchkeeper's legacy or the family or how anything is possible in a dream or hell if there's another memokeeper around who's less benevolent and is messing with everyone's memories, I don't think this is our first run.

And a fun similarity: Acheron sometimes speaks with red text, something that happens in umineko no naku koro ni which happens to be a time loop of sorts, or rather a retelling of what story was actually told. When a certain character speaks in red text, it means that what she's saying is the truth.

I'm very curious to see what the red text means for Acheron. She says we will see the world in black and white, but sometimes red will appear when there's a choice being made.

So maybe the red text she speaks is a choice being made - but there's no other choices. Like when you refuse for her to join you and Black Swan, she asks for you to repeat your answer until there is only one option left - also in red. This would also call back to what Aventurine told us when at the beginning of the game and what he repeated at the end:

Allow me to make you an offer - one you can't refuse. No reason to choose otherwise...

If it's a time loop, maybe the red text she speaks are things that will absolutely happen in every loop?

Anyway this isn't any actual theory crafting, I'm more just typing out my train of thought. I've seen other theories too - especially about Acheron and Firefly - and I'm really curious to see where this is gonna go

ok so im gonna give my reasoning for each of them

Reinhardt - the easierst to pick, the Yellow Lion is the most tank-like (besides the Black Lion, but thats cuz Black is the head + torso), also i think the legs of voltron are supposed to be the "pillars" that allow the team to work well, without them the whole thing crumbles (literally). from what i recall from the actual show, the Yellow Paladin is protective and loyal. Rein was the easiest to match up tbh (plus even the color fits lol)

Torbjörn - not my favourite choice, but tbh i dont think any other lion fits him? besides maybe Yellow, but Rein was too perfect so i couldnt give Torb that one. anyway, the Green Lion is the left hand. i consider the legs to be the "pillars" holding up the team, whereas the arms are the actual damage-dealers/the ones that act on what the leader commands. and as Torb is a dps, that fits just fine. hes not quite a leader, so being the left hand instead of the right is good. plus the Green Lion is inquisitive and curious, and since Torb is a genius, that fits just fine too. i thought he would look weird with green, since i associate him with red-orange-yellow the most, but he looks kinda nice

Ana - i was originally gonna make her blue from the get-go, but i thought it'd be silly to make the remaining three switch lions a bunch, so i can get an excuse to draw Gabe and Jack in multiple suits lmao. but Ana starts out as red, the right hand of Voltron, described as the most temperamental and aggressive. it requires a paladin that can keep up with it and works on instinct most of the time. i feel like Ana would have to BECOME the motherly figure for her team, instead of being one from the start. with that i think she would have been a more "lone wolf" type at first, only later on becoming more mindful of her teammates and how much they need her, which would lead to her becoming the paladin of the Blue Lion - a pillar that keeps the team going along with Rein, a vital part, but no longer in a leadership position. i've seen the Blue Lion described as a "free spirit" too, which i think is also perfect for her :3

Jack - for him i had three options, all of which fit him well: blue, red and black. and instead of picking one, i decided he was going to have three different lions :))) for shits and giggles. so he starts out as blue, a free spirit, very versitile (from what i gathered, the Blue Lion doesn't have a specific "thing" it specilizes in, but instead does a little bit of everything, kinda like Jack). i imagine Jack was the middle-man, an integral part of team-building. he would have been the one to push everyone to work together and follow Gabe's lead, but he was content being on the sidelines most of the time. eventually he takes up more responsibility, sees that he's vital for the team and that he can do more working side by side with Gabe, and so he becomes the paladin of the Red Lion, Gabe's right hand man. then he of course slowly grows to be the actual leader, as Gabe's approach changes and he slowly abandons his original role, passing the command over to Jack. and so Jack's last lion is the Black Lion. also i feel like all three lions fit Jack's color scheme pretty well, so that's another win for me hah

Gabe - since he was the original Strike Commander, i thought it only natural that he would be the first to pilot the Black Lion. the pilot needs to be decisive, stay cool in the face of danger and be someone whose men will follow him into battle with no hesitation - all traits that i see Gabriel would have had to have during the first Omnic Crisis. like i mentioned before, Jack eventually becomes his second in command, and then slowly their roles start to shift. Gabe is no longer content in making decisions for the whole team, he probably also becomes more violent and reckless, relying on Jack to keep him in check. he loses his connection with the Black Lion and becomes the paladin of the Red Lion, Jack's right hand man. the traits of Red fit him well too - aggressive, relies on instinct, temperamental, plus i imagine Gabe is the type to want to get things done as quickly as possible, no matter the risk, to save more people faster. plus, again, the colors match up yaaaay!

i’m just kinda getting all my thoughts out on this episode! it was very interesting and VERY different from the books but not in a terrible way! i trust uncle rick with this show and im more so just curious why some things were changed from the books so much, and im sure a lot of these are going to be answered themselves in these last 2 episodes.

i also love hearing everyone’s ideas about what is going to happen from this point on cause ik even book fans are LOST

no zebra moment! i can’t think of any other moments in TLT that would give us time to learn about percy being able to talk to them, so this is probably going to get brought up for the first time with the hippocampi in SOM which actually works out. i would have loved to see this scene, but i can get that it would have taken up a good chunk of time, and for production reasons probably had to be skipped for now or entirely cut from the season.

clarisse?? traitor?? *LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER NOISE* i have my thoughts on why they did this, but also not?? i figured they did this to balance out the conversation percy and annabeth have with hermes about luke in order to take some attention away from it as to not make it TOO obvious he is the real traitor, but also why even have that conversation about luke in the first place then?? idk. i’m not sure if this is something that will be explained or make more sense with the rest of the season, and if not, i hope uncle rick can explain why this choice was made. there are so many choices in this episode that i would love to hear explained as to why they decided on it!

going off the last point, i do feel like they are slightly forcing the luke is the traitor point for the audience. we never got this much about luke in the books while they were on their quest, and even when he was talked about, nothing really pointed in the direction of him being the traitor. maybe im just an idiot but i remember the luke reveal being pretty shocking! i hope they don’t force it too much and allow everyone to guess it before the reveal even happens! maybe this is just me wanting it to be just like the books, but i guess they do need to hint at it here and there in ways the books didn’t?

also am a little weary about the “old married couple” comment. i hope they don’t speedrun their relationship. this is a SLOWBURN i hope it stays this way!

i get not having poker face in the casino. rick HATES those movies and probably wants to make this as different as possible while still being accurate to the books. honestly tho, dua lipa was a good ass choice. i can’t complain about that.

besides being confused as to why the casino scene itself was pretty different from the books, it was a great event regardless. extremely well produced and was so fun to look at and watch for little details with everyone in the background. that being said, i was hoping for a bit more of a montage type scene. percy and annabeth didn’t get to have any real fun like in the books, it was mostly all grover. i don’t really know shit about production of tv shows and such, but i’m shocked the casino scene was changed this much from the book. but uncle rick i trust you wholeheartedly.

i did love them using the casino card to get a taxi to santa monica, but the hermes taxi in this was better. i was giggling the whole time. percy “i fought and killed a minotaur how hard can driving be” jackson my sweet child. and percy running the taxi into the damn wall because he was busy looking at annabeth??? love them so much

the only two things that REALLY confused me as they are changing major plot points:

1: 4 pearls?

2: the solstice is OVER??

the 4 pearls defeats the whole purpose of them arguing about who is going to stay in the underworld. either this plot point is going to change a lot, OR they are going to lose one of the pearls on the way, but if that is the case, what’s the point of giving them 4 if they are still going to end up with 3? i’m assuming it is going to be the former option, as getting 4 just to lose 1 for the sake of it doesn’t make much sense.

solstice??? over??? i’m very confused on this. this feels like it defeats the whole purpose of continuing the quest, but obviously percy is still determined to get sally (king), so we aren’t just ending the quest. i’m curious to see how these two plot points effect the rest of the season and why these were chosen instead of keeping the original plot!

overall i did really like this episode!! obviously it was very different from the book, but we can’t expect this entire show to be EXACTLY like the book. i would love to hear rick talk about a lot of the choices made throughout the season and why they were done. he has seemed very proud of this show and how it has played out, so i trust him with whatever he decides to do with it.

Hello hello! First of all, thank you so much for asking so many questions and allowing me to talk about my AU to you all, I really appreciate that you guys are enjoying this as much as I am! <3

Second of all, I'm so sorry this took so long to answer!! I have seen your other ask concerning the writing for my AU, and I have to tell you beforehand that it's okay if you lost motivation or inspiration to write this during the long wait. I totally understand if you don’t feel like doing this anymore. Please don't force yourself to write for something you lost interest in. But I’ll gladly still infodump you about the AU!

Names:

Sure, if you wanted to you could just call them their job names. It would make it easier for the readers to recognize each character, but I do have some actual names I came up with if you prefer something more natural sounding!

All the job switched mercs chose their own names, but I deliberately made the names they chose sound as close as possible to the OG Red mercs'. Because the irony here is that they are clones who try so desperately to be unique and different from the OG team, but still managed to somehow copy them despite all their efforts not to.

But I'm really shit at naming things so the effect was kinda lost :')

Sniper as Soldier- Monday or Mondy

Reason: When asked about his name choice, he paused for a moment and asked back, "what day is it today?"

"Monday."

"Monday it is, then."

Soldier as Spy- June or Spyder

Scout as Medic- Germs (short for germinoma) (yeah idk what happened with this one but I didn't wanna call him Jerry either)

Reason: June chose the wrong day to ask Germs about name choices. When asked, the battle worn, tired, salty field-medic grabbed a random medical book from his bookshelf; opened the book; flipped to a random page; viciously stabbed his finger on a random spot on the page and read the word under his finger: "germinoma"- all the while maintaining direct eye contact. It was supposed to be sarcastic. June took it literally, so it became his permanent nickname (much to his dismay)

Medic as Engineer- Ludovic (sometimes they call him Ludo, for short)

Spy as Demoman- Louise, Lois, Lassie, Louisiana, Lyse (any name similar sounding enough to Lois works)

Reason: His "boom sticks" are modified versions of an actual French cigarette brand called "Gauloises". Since none of the mercs actually knows how to read French, they severely butchered the pronunciation and ended up just dropping the beginning of the word entirely, sticking with "loises". However, everyone had varying interpretations of how to pronounce THAT too. So his exact name remains a mystery, and he won't clarify either (he finds it fun to see them try and guess).

Demoman as Sniper- Trevis

Heavy as Pyro- Mikel

Engineer as Heavy- Belle

Pyro as Scout- Zippo

Reason: ya know... zippo lighters... and he's a scout now, so he ZIPS past you... get it?

These are all very bad names, I know, but hopefully you can tolerate my utterly abysmal naming skills :')

Nicknames:

- Monday sometimes calls Lois "Goldilocks" as his own godawful pronounciation of "Gauloises". It annoys Lois to no ends and Mondy loves it.

- He also sometimes calls Germs "bun-bun" to piss him off about his buck teeth. He feels too bad to joke about Belle's tho.

- Monday uses the most nicknames with others, 90% of which is to mock or annoy but it's all in good fun (usually)

- THEY'RE ALWAYS THE SILLIEST NICKNAMES TOO, WITH EVEN SILLER STORIES BEHIND THEM. Just think of the dumbest, goofiest, sounding names

- He once honest to God called Mikel "Jason" and did NOT elaborate

- Germs rivals Monday with his own silly nicknames for everyone, but his tend to be a bit more... vulgar

- "HEY FUCKNUGGETS"

- "fly high, chucklefest junior!"

- "calm down Colonel shrinky-dink"

The sub doesn’t exist besides the first 30 episodes… yet😭 what i guess youre reffering to is the regular ass japanese version😭 i mean if there WAS a sub id naturally watch that of course because im all for sub i dont like dubs but like when you dont have a choice… its the dub😭 i of course watch the japanese version (without sub cauze it doesnt exist) sometimes on certain episodes where im like “i GOTTA see how this was in the original) . also the dub isnt bad by any means LMFAO people shit on it but like? Im sorry the joke delivery is a thousand times funnier LMFAO theres just so much like random ass funny shit they say that you know wasnt there in the original version?? Fusion ryūga is funny as FUCK. Like one of the major reasons why i dont hate his ass is because Hes literally so fucking funny wdym your father couldnt cut it. Theres a way that. Dynamis sounds in the english version thats like. He. Sounds like kinda like a robot like a guy with no inside voice its kinda funny. Scott had not mattered as much, yes it had hurt being a second choice and being villainized for no good reason, but to Pearl she no longer cared. It had first started in last life, yes Pearl had known you for longer but the feelings had slowly started to flow as she got to know you.

Last life was not as bad as others had said at least not for the now crazed lady, from the kindness that Scott had shown Pearl at the start when everyone had found their allies to the welcoming aura that had held her through the harsh reality of the games you gave her, Every night nightmares would wake her up in a sweat and you were always there to help.

Now it was a new era. A time where only one could be trusted and where life’s hang from a thread.

An knot of string connected the players all though unseen the string was clear as day as something as small as a scratch one had  indured now shows up on another. A bumpy feeling of grass and pebbles lay on the ground of the bamboo forest prick at Pearls skin as she rests to take a bite of food, feeling a little bad that it might cause discomfort to her old partner and now soulmate(that hates her) she stands up quickly to continue the search for you and the others.

A bad experience is what could best describe the start of the game, in only a few hour of exploring these new lands she can see some of her friends, as soon as she walks up to Scott and Cleo their smiles fade as Pearl and Scott both cringe at the memories of last games. A acorn pops of a maple tree and hit Scott in the head be for Scott can yelp Pearl has already beat him to it. After that things didn’t get better Pearls old friend and partner now soulmate has left her, not that she really loved him but in a game like this why did this have to happen to her out of anyone why did her soulmate have to start hating her.

Pearls movements are slow but that now changes as she sees a group of body’s in the distance. “PEARL!!” A voice yells over, that voice, their voice. Even in this place you still mange the smile a ray of home, Pearl can’t help but speed up and run towards you with a smile.

“Huh?”

Another person with beautiful pink hair clings on to Y/ns arm and Pearl stops. Lizzie and you stand there waving at her curious to why her pace has suddenly changed. Closer and closer she can see a clearer picture, a small cherry tinted slash is painted on both you and Lizzie’s face. Trying as hard as she can Pearl slowly smiles again but this time it wrong, it all fake and some how you don’t notice.

god this fandom loves a captive romance asfghjj i love it and im sure beauty and the beast is where it started for most of us.

see, if i were gonna write lucemond beauty and the beast it would go like this...

luke and jace grow up as commonfolk. the dance, or something similar to it, still happens and luke and jace's village is one of hundreds prince aemond and his dragon vhagar raze to the ground.

jace, furious over losing the meager home and belongings they had, vows revenge against the cruel prince. but before he can get revenge, the dance ends with the rightful queen on the throne and all of the greens put to death or exile. life returns to somewhat normal as they begin to rebuild. then one day, jace tells luke he's going with a few others to the abandoned fortress harrenhall to see if there's anything worth salvaging or at least taking to peddle.

jace and the others do not come home. luke waits, day in and day out, for something, someone, anything at all. almost a fortnight later, the rest of the group comes back, running into the village as if being chased. jace is not with them. he's being kept prisoner by a beast who's hideousness is only marginally less scary than his cruelty, the other's tell luke.

luke, of course, would go to save his brother despite everyone telling him he's a lost cause. he'd arrive at the thought abandoned harrenhall and finds its two inhabitants. his brother, and a beast of indescribable ugliness holding him prisoner.

the beast does not have fur or fangs like luke expected. no, he's ravaged all over by fire. chunks of hair missing are from his scalp and the hair he does is stringy and stark white. he has glassy, tight skin, and three of his fingers fused together. he walks with a heavy limp and one of his eyes is slashed through, dead with a scar going through it. just the sight of him scares luke, but still, he bravely begs for his brothers life in exchange for his own.

for some unknown reason, the beast agrees. jace is let go, bloodied and bruised, and luke is forced to stay with the monster.

he soon finds the beast has a temper. he growls at shadows, grumbles to himself, and at night, he screams and swears death to someone unnamed.

but to his surprise, the beast leaves luke alone. he is not kept hostage in a damp cellar or beaten like his brother was. he only sneers at luke and makes no small mention of the one room in the castle luke is not allowed to go in.

they mainly keep their distance from one another. the beast leaves the library if luke tries to sit down while he's there and he takes his meals alone. luke would not typically seek out companionship from someone so horrid and, well, ghastly to look at. but it isn't like he has a choice.

slowly, the beast talks to him more when luke makes it very clear that he doesn't care if he's being kept prisoner, he won't be dying of boredom.

still, luke is a bit curious for his own good and happens to find himself in the room he was forbidden from. in there, is a single candle, burned almost to the stem. The light flickers, as if struggling to stay aflame and Luke reaches to put it out of its misery.

the beast bursts into the room. he snarls at luke and drags him out by the scruff of his neck. if luke was listening to his enraged ramblings, he'd hear him say that when the flame goes out, the beast dies. but he isn't listening. from the moment the beast laid a hand on him, luke begins planning his escape.

a few hours later, he jumps from a window in the study and runs away. though the beast does not follow him, the rabid hounds loose on the grounds do. soon, he's surrounded, frightened and screaming for the very person he ran away from, to save him.

to his surprise, he does. the beast wields a sword like a man who'd trained for most of his life with one. he cuts down the hounds and pulls luke to him. this touch does not feel angry like the last one, but scared and concerned.

luke goes to him, and together they flee from the hounds. not unscathed, but not dead either, they make their way back to the castle.

"were you burned by the dragonfire?" luke asks of the beast as he's cleaning his wounds later. the marbling on his skin is familiar to luke. so many people from his village have burns like those from the attacks.

the beast shakes his head and tells him it's no burn. it is curse put on him by a woman he hurt that happened to be a witch. it was no maiming. it was a consequence. and the gruesome state of his body was not the only one... the beast would be dead by his next nameday.

when luke asks if the curse can be broken, the beast pulls away from him. he shields his horrifying face with his white hair and yanks his hurt arm free of luke's grasp.

"there is a way, but it is an impossible feat."

he does not let luke ask further, nor does he allow luke to ask more in the next few weeks. he does, however, allow luke into the library while he's in it. and he lets luke sit with him by the hearth when he builds a fire in the evening. they begin eating their meals together and talking and luke begins to enjoy their companionship.

back home, worried to madness about his brother, jace has been asking around, and he finds out that the beast luke is interned with is actually the one-eyed demon that destroyed their village and most of the riverlands, too, before he was stopped by the king consort. prince aemond was exiled from kings landing and given the destroyed harrenhall partially as good will, but mostly as a reminder of what he'd done.

he raises a group to go back to harrenhall to rescue his brother from the green's former "death on dragonback".

only, luke doesn't need rescuing. because by this time, companionship has shifted to friendship and that friendship luke feels is shifting somewhere else. his beast lets luke come to him at night, when they're both kept awake by the nightmares of their past.

luke doesn't know exactly when the beast shifted to his beast, but he narrows it down to sometime between the night with the hounds, and the night he and his beast danced together in the long forgotten great hall.

"you are the most beautiful man i've ever seen." his beast said to him as they swept each other across the floor. luke blushed.

"i am plain." he mumbled. "there is nothing special about me."

his beasts stopped them mid stride. "you are anything but plain." he said and his words made luke shiver.

luke leaned in and cupped his beast's cheek. he pressed their foreheads together.

he waited for his beast to lean in and kiss him. luke knew he wanted to. he could feel his shuddering breath against his lips.

his beast never did close the small gap between them.

he wrenched himself away from luke as if burned. luke watched his beast leave the hall and touched his fingers to his lips, wistful for the kiss that never was.

jace and the group arrive a few days after. a fight ensues. his beast cuts down luke's would-be saviors with ease, as luke screams for both sides to stop.

jace is the only one left standing in the end and luke lays himself in front of his beast to keep him safe. once again, he begs as he's caught between them both. only now he begs his brother to stop his fighting. luke is a captive no more, but a man there of his own will.

jace asks the beast if this is true.

"would you let him leave?"

lukes beast seems pained by the thought, but he nods.

"do you really wish to stay?" he asks of luke.

luke turns to his beast with a sad smile, "if you'll have me, with the time you have left before your nameday."

luke hopes his brother looks away when his beast gathers luke in his arms and says a gruff "stay forever" before kissing him.

as they part, something begins to happen.

his beast, his love, transforms in front of him. drooping skin lifts back into place, fused fingers spread from each other, burned flesh returns to unblemished porcelain. a man is made whole again, the spell lifted.

still, one dead eye and a scar through it remain. luke knows the one eyed targaryan prince, the one who burned his home and thousands of others before eventually losing the war. he reaches out to touch the damned and somehow nearly perfect man in front of him. he had been cursed to look like his victims, to live their pain and suffering each and every day until his twenty seventh nameday when he would die if he could not find someone to love and have that person love him back.

luke fell in love with the beast, kissed him, and broke the spell.

"you've changed." luke might say. from beast to man, in physicality and otherwise.

and his beast, aemond once again, would reply, "do you like me better this way?"

luke would cup his cheek, would compare the smooth skin to the rough burned flesh. he would shake his head, "i love you only as much as i did before."

Writers treating Charles like he should be omniscient, and siding with Erik on anything.

Letting Erik get away with everything, making Charles the one who should "change" -insert wtf???? meme-

Opposite situation where Charles life trauma is worse than Erik's?????? WHAT? Or making Charles not capable of coping with his own trauma - something he's been, honestly, awesome at throughout all the movies, except for that brief decade of break down (much deserved cause fucking hell, poor guy, just wish those closest to him weren't assholes, except Hank for that time being)

Agreeing with Erik on Mystique's choice of no clothes, like he wasn't being a fucking WEIRDO.

Babifying Charles or Raven.

Justifying Erik's fears of Charles' powers, like WHAT? WHAT? Like, I know the movies never go into how people treat Charles' mutation, but, like, come on! I'm so sick of seeing Charles bend over backwards for people who don't do the same for him. When Erik is the REASON Charles can't DO more. When we saw Charles being VERY active when he had mobility with his legs. Like, holy fuck, are you for REAL, fam?

Im biased but like, Charles' transgressions are WAY lower than Erik's. Like, they are SO not on the same level of cruelty. A little valid to make Raven say shit like they are (She's like that in the movies, and genuinely pisses me off), but god, that's partially why her character became so irritating to me.

Ok, so this is gonna be a long one. So I'm just gonnall do it that way:

As one can assume, I do headcanon that Evo and Life series are in the same universe and that they're a continuous timeline. But im throwing the XLife and 30 days hardcore smp into that mix.

We all know as it goes, in Evo Jimmy and Martym got together after making the Property Police. I don't think they established it, not fully, at least. But they did give each other rings and acted like a married couple. No one said anything, but everyone knew, and so did they. They weren't oblivious to their relationship, but neither of them actually thought it was needed to even say anything, much less deny any love.

Yet the watchets got involved, and every evolutionist scattered into different servers with no way of contacting the other. Leaving Martyn and Jimmy with memories of the other and a ring.

Xlife is where Jimmy landed after a while. That's why, also, on my design, he's still wearing the ring. It was only a year for him since Evo ended. But this is also a place where he meets Scott! While they haven't been close per se nor hang out a lot, they've been starting to get friendly.

Then 3rd life arrived, 2 years after Evo. First time since Jimmy saw Martyn. But. Jimmy had already decided to go with Scott to stay by his side, and Jimmy couldn't do that to Scott, to just leave him in the dust. So the ring was hidden, and no mentions of it were given. Martyn, on the other hand, felt betrayed, feeling cheated on, and quite frankly, i think everyone can see it from both sides. On one side, they haven't seen each other for 2 years, unable to do so. Jimmy already got someone that he was convinced of. He loved him. On the other, there's Martyn, who still wanted Jimmy, still wanted to choose him. Martyn never moved on from Evo, but Jimmy did a little. Not fully but a little. After all, he still has the ring, and he still remembers. Martyn, on the other hand, couldn't settle on being a second choice. He ran off to Ren, and there was something there, there really was! They loved each other and cared, and Martyn felt like he had met. The thing is, when 3rd life ended, Martyn didn't move on from it. He kept getting stuck on both Evo AND 3rd life now. While Ren always saw the games as just that, a game, he came to have fun, so he moved on easily. Scott, on the other hand, just like Martyn, couldn't move on from the whole flower husbands thing, no matter how he tried.

When last life arrived, both Martyn and Jimmy were happy but awkward and anxious about each other. Jimmy kept the ring close to him this time, yet the both of the kind of just avoided each other, and then Martyn git himself married off to Mumbo, and Jimmy didn't really think there was anything to salvage at that point. Until Jimmy ran off with the life and Martyn followed, Martyn felt spiteful towards Jimmy, so he lied, that they could run away together and whatnot, and Jimmy, Jimmy longed for it. But his feelings got crushed when Martyn lied.

When double life rolled in, Jimmy kept the ring, but now more for spite reasons, as a reminder that what he had with Martyn inst a thing anymore. When he met his rancher, Tango, he was hesitant at first, I mean, they were saying they're soul bound. But in the end, they've been the bets pair they could be. Tango, I'm a way made him feel good, feel alive again. Apriciated and needed. But he never could figure out whether his feeling was platonic or romantic towards the other. In a way, he still wasn't over Martyn, and in a way, Scott, too. He tried his best not to get too close to Scott. Still feeling spiteful, Jimmy called out to Martyn as the other builded an ugly heart, trying to get Cleo back to him. In a way, Jimmy felt bad for him, but he still couldn't come up with anything to comfort or even to spite, only saying how Martyn sucks and moving on. On the other hand, Scott tried to bury Jimmy alive, whether it was only for good fun or plain Jelousy that Jimmy had a much better soul mate and was better off without him was never acknowledged. But Jimmy could never forget what happened that day.

When finally we get to Limited Life, Jimmy was done with it all. He ran away with Joel, someone who's been lonely in every single series, and grian. This was a horrendous trio that would end up with Jimmy being dead, but at this point, Jimmy started to kind of accept the curse. He didn't want to die first by any means, of course, but he was in for the fun this time. Everything he did with Joel and Grian was outrageous, making a mess over a frog? Building a big ugly bridge in the sky? Living on top of a mansion? It's not the smartest stuff one can do or even should attempt to try. He was trying to slowly move on. He did his best to do the fun stuff. Just him and the boys. Martyn, on the other hand, made enemies and was crawling back to Scott, the one person the watchers hate the most. Martyn, spending time with Scott, understood why Jimmy liked him that much, way back in 3rd life. I mean, Scott's amazing, and while Martyn and Scott had fun, there was nothing romantic between them, other than Queer Platonic relationship. It wasn't long until even Martyn noticed that Jimmy no longer held onto the ring. He was done with it. (Jimmy tried to be done. He regretted getting rid of the ring but could do nothing about it anymore. Scott, on the other hand, still longed for Jimmy, but for the other, it was already done. When Scott tried to bury him alive, Jimmy couldn't get over it, and when he was asked to kill Tango for a life, Jimmy just couldn't. Not when Tango was innocent in all of this, not when Tango did nothing wrong to him. When finally Scott made a deal with him, he thought, and Jimmy was about to shoot him, he was hesitant a little. He still remembers those times.

To sum it up, Jimmy isn't fully over anything at this point, but he's still doing much better than the others.

While I think of Ultimate Survival Smp as a totally different universe. I just find it all cute and fluff. Just a king in love with a saint. A saint and his knight. And then there's Sausage who wishes to be sandwiched between the two, but none of them gets the hint.

Rat smp, just like USSMP is another universe, Jimmy, Martyn, and Oli are just married (my moot actually give me this idea), no one gets the hint, tho! While Scott is kind of pinning for Jimmy, who just thinks of him as a very friendly rat TOT

Empires 1 and 2 are obviously connected as well.

It's obv to way that Scott was trying to court Jimmy. He didn't get the hint, tho! Then there's Sausage also with his one-sided love after he got "cured." Plus, Fwhip being an obsessive guy who tries his best to get Jimmy attention, thinking it's just their game of flirting... it's not to Jimmy.

E1 Jimmy just can't take the hint.

Empires 2 obviously has Jimmy and Fwhip being lovers that broke up, and then Fwhip becomes an obsessive crazy ex-boyfriend. There's also a short thing between Jimmy and Oli. For some reason, Scott flirts with Jimmy but at the same time avoids him. Sausage was trying to woo him. Doesn't work. And there's this one night stand with Joey. Jimmy had a crush on Scar, tho!

I just find it funny when people pin for the other, but he just can't take a hint. But let's be real empires. People are just in a big poly relationship at this point. No way one can untangle that mess TTOTT

I like your ramblings about the characters, and now im curious about your opinions/hcs about Ortho?

My Opinions on Ortho.. Well, I must admit: They have recently changed. I wasn't all too fond of him (and particularly: His voice. It felt uncomfortable to listen to) and especially in Book 6.. Well, no actually. I found Book 6 actually rather funny (except all the painful fights).

As I go on, I will be talking about Book 6 and Book 7. Proceed with caution if you don't want to get spoiled.

I wasn't all too fond of him because well, I haven't seen really anything in him which was partially because I didn't care enough about him (in a neutral way, not in the "I hate you, so idc about you" way - He existed and I acknowledged that but that was it y'know?) and partially because all I saw was that "Robot kid Shroud". I mean, I knew basics about him but eh, what I knew wasn't interesting enough. But then Book 6 came along and I warmed up a little - Though it still wasn't enough to make me interested. But then! Then in Book 7.. Oh boy, my heart. After everyone fell asleep and Ortho was the only one "awake" in NRC, he started to grow onto me. And with Mama Shroud and Papa Shroud - Ugh, they were too precious together (I hold Mama Shroud very dearly, she's so precious). I'm guessing it's simply because he started to have his own mind and heart after/at the end of Book 6. First he was, as much as I hate to say it, "The Shroud brother" but after Book 6? "Ortho Shroud". By gaining his own controlled conscience, he made me warm up to him (and I kinda like him now more than idia tbh 💀)

I'm not too fond of characters who are pictured more like an extension of Character A and that's what Ortho was for me for a long time but now he's his own character and I love it. Additionally to that, I'm genuinely amazed by how many possible gears he has. He's a robot-kid that doesn't need special outfits and has more diversity in his closet than I do ��

Hmm, do I have any HCs? I'm not sure, let me think.

I think Ortho would sometimes seek out the opinion from the Leech Twins regarding shoes - Or would get into lively conversations with them about it. (+ the tweels at some point have an almost brotherly relationship with Ortho, simply bc I said so [and for multiple legit reasons])

I also genuinely believe that Ortho knows *everything* that is in everyone's search history. You search it while being on NRC? Ortho *will* know (not bc he wants to but simply bc he has no other choice 💀)

I also see people often HC Ortho as TransFem and while I wouldn't have thought about it on my own, I still kinda like the idea.

Do I have more? Hmm, I don't think so.
