so as u know i was ill last week (was that even last week I CANT REMEMBER BUT IT WAS RECENTLY) and i was coughing up a storm at school on monday and tuesday IT WAS HELL ITSELF I SWEAR.

SO I HAD LIKE,, 7 TESTS? THIS WEEK? I THINK? a ton!! like wdym im getting a test thats not writing in journalism class? WHY ARE WE HAVING A HISTORY TEST IN THIS CLASS THATS SO WEIRD TO ME??? anyway... that and a spanish test and two math tests and two tests in my ap class and an english comprehension test i was not thriving this week

AND BY THE WAY, THE TESTS IN MY AP CLASS WERE LITERALLY RETAKES BECAUSE I WAS GONE REVIEW DAY CAUSE I WAS SICK AND HAD TO TAKE THE TESTS WITHOUT STUDYING AT ALL. THE TEACHER WAS LATE TO CLASS THAT DAY SO IT TOOK ME LIKE THREE ADVISORY PERIODS TO FINISH THE STUPID TESTS 💔💔

Coding progress update!

ok so its been a minute i was sick and my birthday happened but im back and i am working on the code.

As of now I greatly improved the readability and feedback of the code I've already written.

I want to abstract a bunch of methods but its messy throwing objects around and I'm just getting started w java image processing.

ANYWAYS actual progress:

I'm working on a ground-up contrast filter rn, just trying to find some of the best methods of improving text readability and thought this would be a good tangent.

Before this I messed around and just rawdogged the best sounding, simple, color-based methods for improving readability and here's what came of it:

I use the Glow Pt. 2 Album cover as a "larger picture" to test code on because i like it, both the cover and the album

I use the angry shoebill as a "smaller picture". he looks funny and has some interesting colors going on

So basically the gist of this first attempt at making a kinda ok text-reading filter was to just multiply the difference between 255 (the max color value), and the read R, G, or B, and then make it a percent gradient that would then be added to 1 and multiplied by the original R/G/B value and....

I think half-sick, delirious from volunteering for 6 hours that day, me was going crazy because

I'm working on the contrast filter right now because I exercising image processing theory before taking something like that on could be very good.

So far I've got the code to look fairly pretty, but my first test went horribly. look how it has mangled the shoebill. atrocious

This is most likely because I have only wrote code to facilitate the change of pixels. The only change that is occurring is a +5 in the r, g, and b.

Made some modifications. At least the image it spits out is recognizable. Spot the difference,,

if you said 2 random blue pixels, you are right!! your prize is tire. tire beyond your wildest imagination. You are sooooo eepy. The void beckons.
